ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Scott Spencer the owner of Affordable Plumbing and Heat, Inc. I have raised my 4 kids while working in the plumbing industry for the past 15 years.  Affordable Plumbing has been a family owned business since 1995 and we maintain the same traditions of its humble beginnings.   People want VALUE, a quality product at a reasonable price.  The plumbing industry has a bad reputation.  It comes from the standard business practice of commissioned Plumbers and flat rate pricing.  The hook is the free estimate, its tough to turn someone away when you have invited them into your home.  Affordable advocates up-front pricing on the phone with hourly Plumbers and hourly rates for the consumer. I personally guarantee that we will do everything possible to meet your expectations and make your experience a pleasant one.

The service technician was snappy when my wife asked a simple question. Charged us with an extreme fee with no explanation of the charges. They have a minimum charge of $75 and I promise you it will be a lot more than that because they work very slow!

Because of all of the recommendations I called Affordable Plumbing a couple days ago. I am so beyond disappointed right now I can't even see straight. On the phone I made it clear we were both disabled veterans and were having a hard time and didn't have a lot of money. I knew I needed a new wax ring in one toilet. Jonas came to our home and took one look at our upstairs toilet and said because the bolts were rusted we could spend $387 on a major rebuild of a 15 year old toilet or have him install a new one for $450. He made this sound like an emergency. I had him look at our other toilet just in case and of course it was the same situation. So... $900. I didn't have it, but they were kind enough to give me 5% off for being a veteran. Among other things they tried to get me to spend an additional $249 so I could get financing. Anyway, so I went to the bank and drained our savings and put part on our credit card. After all that and feeling sick, we have had 3 plumbers tell us we were completely ripped off and should have been given other options. The toilets that were used (Gerber's most basic) probably cost no more than $100 each so... $655 in labor? And I specifically asked about going to Lowe's and getting my own toilet and he told me he would charge $400 to install 2. Now I feel like a complete idiot for even letting them in my home. Very disappointing. I will be taking this to BBB. I have 2 plumbers that have now given me estimates to prove price gouging.

Homeowner contacted Affordable Plumbing to have lines snaked. Was informed that there was a partial disconnect outside the home and in the roadway. would require excavating. the quote? $5800.00. Seriously? Had I known that it really wasn't an emergency as foretold, I would have said that we will check around. Any Excavating Company can access the sewer lines for you at a fraction of the cost.

Once the hole was excavated, I was informed that it would be very difficult to repair and would require excavating the pipe another three feet. The cost? Another $1500.00!!! Oddly, they didn't expand the hole as far as I can see, so where is this additional three feet? Then I was informed that they needed to replace a 10 feet span and they could do it for $10,000.00. Seriously?!!! I informed the guys that I wasn't going to replace the entire pipe, it was only a re-set into the tap.

So I provided them with a few options on how to do it more efficiently. Needless to say, the hole sat untouched for nearly two weeks. So I informed the technician that I wanted Regional Building to inspect the site prior to any repairs. Oddly, the pipe was repaired and closed up within a day. So what is the problem?

Ever since Affordable Plumbing was sold, the technicians appear to be working on commission. Even on corporate accounts, you are treated as a residential customer. Fifty % down, 50% upon completion. Corporate accounts are no-longer billed and invoiced accordingly. As such, the homeowners names appear all over the Corporate Associations invoices. When asked to have an invoice to the Association it became problematic and the technicians are now the Accounts Receivables Collections folks.

Seriously? Who bought this outfit? An electrician?

Used Affordable Plumbing in the Past, will no longer use them in the future. Fool me once shame on you, Fool me twice shame on me. Always suspect when dealing with a 20 something that bases their knowledge and expertise on work they saw their father do. Really?

Our kitchen was unexpectedly backing up with water and Affordable got someone out to us in the same afternoon.  Brandon did a great job and double checked everything to make sure he cleaned up and made it look better than when he left.

We have used Affordable Plumbing & Heat a couple of times, and would definitely use them again in the future.  Jason come out this afternoon to replace an outside hose bib, and he was pleasant, professional, and cleaned the work site when he was done. They are probably not the cheapest in town, but you certainly get your money's worth.  Some of their competitors charge less for the initial trip charge, but I think they are hiding costs elsewhere.  Affordable quoted us $75 just to come out, but that is waived if you get the service done.  Excellent service today by Jason; he clearly explained the repair, and gave me an estimate before he started.  Highly recommend.

Not impressed, I really don't understand why people don't want to work. We scheduled them to give us an estimate on replacing our boiler. They were not even considerate enough to call or text to let us know they were not going to make it...

I'd really like to give these guys a good review, but unfortunately my experience with Affordable Plumbing is growing more and more frustrating by the day. We hired them after our plumbing backed up into our house on Thanksgiving. They charged us an initial $150 to come out because it was after hours. Totally reasonable - I gave them my debit card info and paid that night. When the tech arrived he was kind and professional, but had to leave and come back with some other equipment which he told us we wouldn't be charged for. After he left, the problems persisted so we called them back. The tech came out a told my husband that more extensive work needed to be done, but if he dug the hole himself, we would save $500. So my husband spent 4 hours digging a giant hole in our backyard. When they arrived, they told us it wasn't big enough so we'd still be charged full price. They determined that our pipes needed to be blown out, but their jetter was in the shop. Fast forward two months and they JUST finished the project. Meanwhile, they've been hounding us to pay our bill when the job wasn't even finished and now, they're telling us that we still owe money from the first time the tech came out, which I paid for the night of.

The only reason I even gave them 2 stars is because everyone who came to our house was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the work they did was not worth the hassle.

We should have just called someone else.

Stay as far away from this company as possible. Unethical would be generous. I paid them $500 and
they never fixed a furnace issue. Told me I needed $600
more work. Called another company and $120 later the furnace was working. Contacted Kevin Dalton and
explained I was not happy. Instead of refunding money
he offered a credit on a future service. Yeah, like
I would ever use this company again. Looking into a
small claims auite

UPDATE: It's open to speculation, but, there's alternative options that you may want to consider. My last review was around the delay in service commitments and lack of integrity I have witnessed from this brand. I made an effort to reach out to them to resolve the concerns. I called their customer service line to schedule an appointment for my property. I mentioned to them that the dishwasher was backing up (which, me, im out of state, I suspected it could be a clogged pipe - I don't have a plumbers license, so I don't know). The arrived 10hrs late - as stated in my previous review. When they contacted me, I asked them to remove the $75 fee for driving to my property. Which, he combatted with telling me they've discounted the after hours fee - obviously wouldn't be charged to begin with - had they been on time between 9-11am as we agreed upon so yes....im glad you were discounting that fee. However, I am still not paying $75. The representative then waived the fee, which I thought was entirely fair since there may be other organizations that would show up on time.

I then get a FaceTime call from the residents at the property to walk them through how to start the dishwasher (beside the point), which I understand Affordable Plumbing doesn't handle appliances (I worked for a cell phone company not a phone manufacturer but could still help customers who's phone wasn't working). Anyways, I relied upon them to making judgement calls through transparency & integrity. My dishwasher was spraying water on the floor of my kitchen - which I had mentioned on the recorded call, and prompted my initial request for their services. They continued to run a cycle on the dishwasher before clearing a pipe with a minor buildup charging $195 for that service.

The first thing you do when attempting to resolve a dispute is understand alternative solutions. Had the rep informed me that regardless of the pipe clean, the dishwasher appears to be broken - BEFORE we executed the service, I would have happily paid $75.00 for the initial arrival / diagnosis. I rely upon their expertise to make an actual judgement call with the customer put first. I talked to a manager, he connected me with someone who handles the disputes in the CO region.

When explaining this to the dispute manager, Mr. Jason. He explained that its services rendered. In my perspective, it was a tough luck we did what we did, which didn't even resolve the issue. We didn't need to even do a pipe clean if it wasn't going to fix the issue because my kitchen sink (apparently sharing the same pipes as the dishwashers wasn't backed up by this minor buildup). Mr. Jason informed us that he would get started on sending a refund form, which he would send via email to me. I also asked SEVERAL times to have the owner of the business contact me due to my experience and he refused to provide me with his information - which he said in a disgusted tone I AM DONE WITH THIS.

We haven't heard anything until we reached out today, which we received a very unprofessional & rude text message back. Apparently, I am a liar, scammer, and am harassing him for following up on a commitment he made. What a surprise. The authorities aren't relevant - I have been upset but have not intended to be rude. Nor am I scamming them on anything. Jokers. As consumers, you're free to pick whoever you want as a provider to service your needs. It wouldn't be bad to scroll a bit further down the Google list when searching for plumbers!

My neighbors ran into my gas meter and damaged the threads on a pipe. They come out on a Saturday and fixed the wrong thing.  We call them back and explain what happened and how we needed a pipe to be re threaded and made an appointment for Tuesday.  They never show up so we call them again and they come out on Wednesday. When they actually come on Wednesday and I explain that we needed the pipe re threaded the guys says he wished he had known that and that he didn't have the tools or man power to fix it. We then  have to wait another day and when they finally come out on Thursday they say their tool isn't working and that we will  have to replace the whole pipe which will be very expensive and then just leave.  We've been waiting almost a week for this repair and it is too much work to deal with these guys. Look for someone else to do the work in a timely fashion. I don't recommend them at all.

This is the second time that I have called Affordable Plumbing and Heat- this time for heater issues. They are extremely professional, timely and knowledgeable. I can not say enough good about them, and I will continue to be a loyal customer. I'm so happy that I have found a company that can be trusted and called on when needed!

I highly recommend Affordable Plumbing & Heating. Everything from start to finish was flawless. Scheduling the appointment was quick and easy. I even got same day. I was told they will call 30 minutes prior to arrival. They did. When the gentleman arrived they were very friendly and professional. I even got a couple of laughs out of them. Hopefully I won't need to call out their services again but if I do, it will be Affordable Plumbing & Heating. Thanks guys! (Taco Bell)

Words cannot express how unprofessional the Colorado Springs office was with me. We schedule a day for them to run cameras down a main line at a commercial property. I emphasized over and over this was for a real estate transaction and I have a deadline. I needed feedback upon completion of the inspection. I called for two weeks after the scheduled inspection asking for someone to call me back with feedback from their inspection. No one would call men back. I finally had to call their Denver office and complain how unresponsive they are being. Then a manager called me back. It was then informed to me that no one did any inspection at all. So they went to the site and then left. No one called me.

Then the manager from the Colorado Springs location basically said oh well and didn't even care they left me high and dry. Not a professional way of working on any level. Call anyone else but this office in Colorado Springs.  They don't deserve any stars.

The plumber who came was prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable, but if I had known how much they were going to charge, I never would have hired Affordable.

When I called to make an appointment for an estimate, I mentioned that the problem was a leak in our upstairs shower going through the floor to the ceiling below.  I was told by the dispatcher they don't have an hourly rate, but charge by the job.  Two other companies I called told me they charge $150/hour, so since Affordable could come sooner than the others, I asked them to come, thinking the rate would be the same.  I was shocked when the plumber told me they charge $203.12/hour to find a leak--more than is charged to fix a problem!  Why is that?  And why didn't the dispatcher tell me what the rate would be?  She knew what the problem was.

Secondly, the plumber left us with a hole in our ceiling that we had to pay someone else to fix and a small caulking job we had to do.  Another company told me they wouldn't have fixed the hole in our ceiling, either, but would have caulked our shower if the job wasn't very big (it wasn't).

Sorry, but all things considered, I won't hire Affordable again.

12/29/20 Charged $250 for 1 hour's work ... I supplied all materials to change 2 GFI receptacles and 3 electrical switches. The job was completed promptly, but way, way, way over priced. Called to talk with someone about what I was charged, was told the manager would call ... never heard back. Most certainly should have checked the reviews before I called this company.
01/24/21 update: Customer service person Mindy stated on 12/30/20 that I had been overcharged by $75 and I would receive a check within 2 weeks. Her instruction was that I should call 719-471-0713 if I did not. I told her I would EDIT this review to indicate there was resolution when I received the check. No check was received so on 01/19/21 I called to follow up. Several days later (after some back and forth) Mindy said that general manager Drahn would not issue the check unless I REMOVED this review. I reminded her what our agreement was previously, and she said that I had to email her to state that I would take down the post and when I did, the check would be mailed if not delivered to you today. No acknowledgement of email received, no refund check received ... why should I delete this review? This company RIPS PEOPLE OFF.
01/25/21  Apparently general manager Drahn changed his mind about trying to use coercion ... the check was delivered. I'm making good on my statement that I would edit this post when there was resolution. If the check doesn't clear the bank, I'll be back.

If I could give 0 stars I would.  I scheduled an appointment online for an air conditioner repair.  I took off of work to be home during the time span allotted.  Nobody ever showed up, nobody called to communicate that they wouldn't be coming.  They then have the nerve to send me an invoice stating that I did not answer the door, when I have a ring camera and a dog that would surely alert me and record if anybody had showed up.  What a joke.

Affordable Plumbing and heating serviced a furnace for me as part of a winter check up. I was told I needed a total replacement. I got a second opinion from my previous long time heating company in Colorado Springs who told me a replacement wouldn't make sense. It's working fine.

Made an appointment with Beth and was told that Mark would come out the same day between 3-330. Not even 30 min after that I was receiving texts from Mark that he can't make it due to personal reasons. He texted multiple times while I was driving wanting an answer on rescheduling. Tried to call Beth to verify this and of course no one answered my call, so I left a message and zero response. I finally had a chance to respond to the text and said never mind I will use another company that can come out , While I understand personal emergencies happen, I found it suspect that it was so close to having made the appointment and that Beth couldn't return my calls. After another company came and provided service that plumber wanted me to call Affordable and let them know the job was completed. I did as instructed despite already having done that and no response from Mark or Beth. Had Beth just confirmed that Mark couldn't make it I probably would have stuck with them, however the sudden emergency and expecting me to accommodate instead of trying for another solution or apologizing for their ineptness in scheduling, I chose to go with Amy gut after seeing so many poor reviews and go elsewhere!

Don't rip your customers off. I paid $450 to fix a leak, the tech came out did work, then the leak moved to another part of the pipe. I called back, I was charged another $468 for repair. This was in a span of three days. Total scam.

The technician and team on the phone were nice. They knew I was in a bind to get something fixed.

Do not hire this company. Scammers. Quoted roughly 4K higher than other reputable plumbers in the Colorado Springs area. Out to get your money, if they know you are in a bind. This is why they say to get multiple quotes before just hiring someone. Got what I needed completed and saved thousands not going with this company that will up charge you.

I had two different services on the same day and they came out on the same day I called.  I was told I would get a call about 20 minutes prior to arrival but neither of the gentleman called before arriving.  I'll start with the more positive experience.  The purpose of the visit was a furnace tune up which was completed efficiently and there was a problem found and after a run to get the part fixed immediately.  The other service was to check on a leaky recently installed toilet.  After a couple of minutes of inspection it was determined that the bolts holding the tank to the base were not properly tightened during installation.  The bolts were finger tightened.  No tools were used and no parts required.  The total charge for fingers?  $175.  Highway robbery in my opinion and blatant exploitation of a recently widowed single mother.  I have been a loyal customer for over 11 years.  After this experience, I think no longer.

we went round and round with these guys when it came to fixing our sewer line. They would Promise one thing, not deliver and we had to do the calling to them to find out anything. it took way too long. I think they may have caused more damage doing the repair and the fact that they said they would  hydrojet the line again, it didn't happen. Their invoices are sloppy at best and their customer service isn't there. I don't want want cutsie excuses or promises not followed thru. don't use these guys

Not affordable at all. They charge $75 to come out to your home and then $125/hour to diagnose and fix. I had a guy come out and he told me nothing was wrong with my system (even though the pipes were freezing!) and proceeded to charge me $200. Had another company come out that was way more honest and better priced to fix it.

2 1/2 years ago Affordable Plumbing & Heat installed a tankless water heater for us & did a great job.  Up until our recent experience with them we were very satisfied customers.

About 2 weeks ago it quit working - still under warranty.  We called Affordable Plumbing & Heat the next morning & were told they didn't have anyone available to work on it until the next day.  When the technician arrived the next day he did some tests & determined that our flow sensor was bad - said it was crusted with scale & couldn't move freely.  He didn't have a replacement sensor, so he cleaned the scale off & got it working again.  The fee for this service call was $175.

The next afternoon the water heater quit working again. When we contacted Affordable Plumbing & Heat we were told after they got the correct part in stock we would be charged another $50 trip fee, 1 hour of labor plus about $300 for the part.  When my husband questioned the charges he was told 'You clearly don't understand the service industry.  We cannot afford to stock every part & we cannot send our technicians out for free.'  The manager didn't seem to care at all that we were being charged extra because they didn't have the correct part in stock & didn't believe my husband when he said this was only a $25 part.

At this point we found the part online for $21, it arrived 2 days later & it took my husband (NOT a plumber) 15 minutes to install it.

We are now in the market for a new company for all of our future plumbing, heating & cooling needs.  Affordable Plumbing & Heat is only good for installs of new equipment, not for any repairs!!

My plumber told me later that I should not have called this company, that they are not truthful to women especially. The first engineer told me that the filter was just dirty and I needed a new filter. Right away I must admit I was pretty stressed out this week, and didn't read all his notes. I paid him $229 for replacing a filter. I am a busy single Mom who works full time as a software engineer taking care of this home for them. So I should have read the fine print- I could kick myself. . I try to find people and companies I can trust but I didn't take enough time for this one so women please beware. . So when the technician left, he told me it was just a dirty filter.

After he left though the heater would never shut off and then I had to turn it off because it was almost 90 degrees in my house.

Then I called affordable heating and plumbing  back and they told me at 8:30am that no one could come until 9pm to 11pm. I said ok since I don't want to travel on business leaving my family without heat and I felt like they should have fixed it the first time.

So then the scheduler leaves me messages that the heating technician will not show up. I call them back and the in call manger was very nice, very!  And made sure the technician showed up, at 9:30pm but I was grateful.

But then the technician shows up and tells me I need a new induction motor and that the first technician told me this and I signed something to that affect. The first technician absolutely did not tell me that at all!!  But sadly with my busy life I probably trusted him and signed something. Then this technician tells me this motor is $500 - $700 but I should just replace the entire furnace!!! He then told me that furnaces never last over 10 years! What the heck! I know my furnace  is old but that is an outright lie! He tells me his comfort specialist can give me an estimate tomorrow. I told him I need an estimate tonight not a replacement furnace at 6k. So I will be looking  for

Then he goes to the van to call his supervisor. Finally I just need to put my kids and myself to bed and walk out to the van to tell him no need to come back in. Then he said will you just sign a couple of documents? I told him no, not after what I've been through with your company?

Excellent service, honest and fair. It's good to have a trustworthy company that I would do business with again. From Andrea in the office to technician Dakota, I was treated with respect and courtesy. Appreciate the consideration for customer safety as well as following CDC guidelines during these uncertain times. Thank you kindly.

Your less than 2 year old furnace was short cycling, they first cleaned because it was dirty and was assured that was the problem.  That was $125. Tech didn't even stick around to make sure it worked, another 48 hours before they can come out. Master tech came out. It was the motor, but the parts are under warranty, we will just pay for labor. Took 20 mins to fix and $440 later is was fixed! We asked why we were charged for 2 hours when it only took 20 mins. Well that's the minimum! What a joke! THIS COMPANY IS ANYTHING BUT AFFORDABLE! We will tell everyone we meet not to use this company!

Was great they could come on a Saturday  and they two guys that came were very nice and friendly but will never call them again. $300.00 for 10 minutes of work and we had the job completely prepped and ready to go for them when they got here. Had a leaky pipe in the ceiling, we found the issue cut the hole in the ceiling to expose the pipe all they had to do replace the small piece of pipe with a coupling, Took longer to write up the invoice, They get you when they say they will waive the $75.00 call fee because you think your getting a deal but they don't give you a price over then phone. They they get here and give you the set price and you either accept it or pay the $75.00 for them to do nothing. Unfortunately we had to have the leak fixed before the pipe gave out so we had to pay but will never call them again as we feel we were taken.

Horrible!Horrible! And no this is not just because I'm upset but this business is a disgrace. They charged $75 to just literally step into my house, take a picture and refuse service till I cleaned the wet area. No problem, I did so and they came back. The issue   was quite simple: replace a half foot pipe with a dime size whole. The guy first looked at the whole for fifteen minutes than spent ridiculous amount of time texting and talking on the phone. I called his boss and told him that I don't have time for people who take hours to fix a simple problem and that he needs to tell his employee to leave cause I do not want any services from them. Before I finished the conversation the guy left slamming my door shut not saying a word to me. Than 10 minutes later  he comes back, constantly ringing my door bell till I opened. He in a very rude manner gave me an ultimatum saying: you have two options, one you will take our services for $760 or you need to pay us $120 for diagnostics. For diagnostics? Looking at the whole and not knowing or being equipped to cut a small peace of pipe is not diagnostics!
Warning for all out there: you do not want to deal with this company. They may have some technicians that are good and some that are horrible but bottom line their response to harass and demand money for absolutely no service preformed after a complaint is made and clear communication of no services wanted is just not acceptable by any business. If this is how they make their money   I would stay away from them as far as possible. It is a shame that a simple everyday consumer like myself, a single mom of two, is not protected from this kind of businesses.

Love doing business with Affordable Plumbing and Heat! Easy to schedule an appointment. Service technicians show up on time, are professional, and courteous. I specifically want to call out Jeff B. He completed our last service, and did a wonderfully efficient job. He was in and out in about 30 minutes to replace the pressure relief valve on our water heater. You don't have to pay commission or tips, which as we all know is greatly appreciated. Instead, they are very open about their pricing so you know what you're going to pay upfront to cover materials, labor, etc. The only issue I had this time around was the need to reschedule an appointment because there was a misunderstanding on Affordable Plumbing and Heat's side as to the need to bring a new valve with them.

I am extremely happy with the service I received!  I had 2 experiences about a week apart.  I was happy enough with the 1st experience to request the 2nd.  Jeff replaced our toilet.  The process couldn't have been more easy.  We didn't even have to go shopping.  When a rare manufacturer flaw happened Jeff came back to fix it and was really great about it.  My 2nd experience was today with Kurtis.  He replaced our water heater and a couple of extra pieces.  I am extremely impressed with his knowledge and helpfulness!  It was a great learning experience  as he explained things.  He was awesome!  Both Jeff and Kurtis were very professional.  I'd never used this company before but I will use them again if I need help.  They don't just do plumbing either.  Great to know!  Both Jeff and Kurtis are very committed to doing the best job they can do.

When the technician called with the price, I told him they are not affordable.  He laughed as if he heard the joke before.  I paid $1,060 to replace a board that the part was $300.  Over $700 labor and it did not fix my issue. I only agreed to the price because of the freeze warning.   I will not be using them again.  If you want to be overcharged, you are welcome to use them.

Our furnace quit in the middle of one of these most recent winter storms.  The office was polite and able to schedule an appointment for the same day.  They even contacted us with ETA when the tech was running behind.  Eddie got our furnace up and running while teaching me a few things as well.  I would definitely recommend Affordable Plumbing and Heat for home heating issues.

I had an issue at 1am, sewage coming up shower.  Called Affordable as advertised in telephone book as 24/7 hour emergency service.  A lady answered phone and said she would have a manager contact me within 30 minutes or call back.  Never got a call back so I called them back in 30 minutes.  Was then told no one was responding to the messages and to call back in another 30 minutes.  I said forget it.  Dependability--zero.

We had affordable plumbing come out to fix our sewer line backing up. They said they could clear it out with a snake line. I was quoted at 353 for the service. When they started working the guys that came then said they didn't find the block and had a camera guy come out. The camera guy said I think it's somewhere in your yard. It'll be 2,500 for us to dig and find it. That does not include repairs. We declined, and they still charged us the 353. At no point did they ask for a signature on the invoice. When I was emailed an invoice my signature was FORGED, under the statement of I agree that these services were preformed to my satisfaction. WHAT SERVICES? They didn't offer any sort of solution! My husband had to rent a evac for $600, dig up 6 feet and found that they had collapsed our line! We had to replace it ourselves. The worst of it was they had an employee burn out our driveway and then when he walked up to the house he said to us what the f*** you going to do about it?!. All of this is entirely unacceptable!

Unfortunately, prices have exploded since new owners took over years ago, according to one employee. Very rude manager trying to justify new price policies. He acted like they're the only game in town. Found a much better company and they're now an approved vendor by my management company and my exclusive plumber for several of my homes.

Kelby was absolutely wonderful and a great informative person. He deserves 5 stars! I can tell he is passionate about giving great customer service and loves what he does.  The company he works for is disappointing. Their rates are 2.5x higher than other plumbers on top of a trip fee. I have learned my lesson. I should have known better when I called and they wouldn't give me their per hour charge over the phone. I will never use this company again!

On Friday December 16, 2016 in response to a complaint from a tenant in my 4plex apt. building I called Affordable Plumbing to repair the furnace. Michael Reeves responded and told me that a circulating pump was defective and to replace it would cost $510. The pump is attached by two bolts and replacement should take less than hour. I have since researched the price of the pump to be $150 so they must have been charging $360 labor. I asked the company to explain how they determined their charges and they flatly refused saying they did not divulge charges for parts and labor charging only by the job.
During the repair one of the two bolts broke. Mr. Reeves told me that the bolt could not be repaired and that I had to buy a new furnace. He sent me an estimate for replacement furnaces ranging from $11,000 to $15,000. I told him that I had four families without heat in subzero temperatures, that I would not buy a new furnace, and that the repair had to be done.
On Saturday December 17, 2016, Ray Martenson came and removed the broken bolt. He charged $400 to remove it plus the original $510 for a total of $910. After minor adjustments a final amount of $895 was charged to my credit card. On January 08, 2017 the company added an additional unauthorized charge of $210 to my credit card. On January 11, nearly a month after the work was done, I received an invoice stating that I owed $210 as payment for diagnostics that that were done on Friday December 16. That was when I was told that the furnace could not be repaired and I would have to replace it. None of the $360 labor was applied to the diagnostic charge since they claim they only charge by the job. The total charges to remove one bolt and install a $150 part are $1,115 and since I refused to pay the unauthorized credit charge I am being threatened with having the $210 charge turned over to a collection agency.
Affordable also gave me a list of estimates for repairs and maintenance to the furnace they had claimed could not be repaired and had to be replaced.  Their estimate was $1,787. I had the work done by a well established plumbing company and the actual charges for the work were $357 for materials and three hours labor for a total of $662.  They said that there is absolutely no reason for the furnace to be replaced. Affordable was estimating about $1,400 more than what the work actually cost.
Summary:
1) Affordable Plumbing charged $1,115 to replace a $150 part and remove one bolt.
Of that, $210 was a diagnostic fee to falsely tell me that I had to replace a furnace that did not require replacement. They are threatening to turn that fee over to a collection agency.
2) The company's exorbitant charges are demonstrated by their estimate of $1,115 versus the actual charges of $662 to do maintenance and repairs. The reason that they refuse to disclose and justify how they determine their charges is obvious.

We have had a fair amount of plumbing work done since moving into this house four years ago, and always with Affordable Plumbing and Heat, and have always had great service. When we needed work done this week, I called, and they weren't able to get to us for two days. That's fine. We scheduled an appointment for between 8-10, but by 10:30 I hadn't heard anything. I called to find out when they'd be here. They told me there was an emergency, and they wouldn't be here for another hour and a half. My biggest frustration is that they didn't bother to call me to let me know there had been an emergency, and that they needed to push my window. Assuming that they show up when they say they will this time, that's two hours past my first given window, meaning that my entire day has been on hold waiting for them.

My kitchen faucet would only divert about half the water to the hose when the hose button was depressed.  I replaced the diverter valve and cartridge, which didn't solve the issue.  I called AP&H and fully explained the issue.  The plumber arrived the next day (on schedule), took a brief look at the faucet, and said that the diverter was probably worn out.  I told him that I had just replaced it (like I forewarned the scheduler who apparently didn't relay any info to the plumber).  He then poked around (briefly) before declaring well, I don't know what the issue is...best bet is probably to replace it.  Then he proceeded to bill me $175.  So yeah, I'm not happy and won't be using their services again.

EDITED: 18 May 15

I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 stars due to the good follow-up by Affordable Plumbing & Heat Inc management.  Would I use their service again?  Yeah...probably.

We hired affordable to clean out a backed up drain.  They had horrible service habits; drug in a filthy wet used rag to wipe our floor and wall. No protective floor tarps or shoe covers. The guy traipsed up my carpeted stairs and I found him walking around my upstairs!  I think he was scoping my home looking for signs of our financial situation. I consider this trespassing. He had no business upstairs and could have called for me from downstairs. After the drain was cleared they sent another guy out to scope the drain. It was a scam. He used lies and fear tactics to try and pressure me into  believing his fake video which he showed  me on site but warned me he would not be able to provide a copy. Of course not! Company refused to follow up with a written report or an actual copy of the video. We kept having to speak to a woman named Frankie and she gave us nothing but excuses and acted all innocent.  A local TV station recently/ earlier did an investigative report about exactly these types of scams or we might have been tempted to believe these con artists.

Fortunately no one in my household is gullible except for trusting this company to help us. Never again.

I am a long time customer of Affordable Plumbing and I am very disappointed with my last appointment. On 09-01-17 I called to have my drains cleaned and as usual, they were more than willing to come help. After about 45 mins, the guy came up from downstairs and said there was a very serious problem that could cost thousands to fix. He called for the video guy who showed me a video of my drains. Said I was underwater and had to get this done right away. Advised guy I was calling for a second opinion. Called Leo's plumbing and they came out  and cleaned my sewer lines. No mention of the serious problem or any problem. Affordable charged 245.00..Leo 's 119.00.  Leo's did more to locate the problem in the first 15 minutes than Affordable.  I now question how much I was over charged for work that I needed or did not need.

Had a main-line clog @ home. First available appointment was 24 hours after I called. The tech was a nice guy but had very little experience or training. He snaked the main line once. As he retrieved the cable from the clean-out,roots and sewer water sprayed the surrounding surfaces (washer, dryer and cabinets). He had no way to clean up the mess he had created so I loaned him a rag which he used to smear the gunk further. He was satisfied with snaking the drain once but never actually ran any water into the drain. The tech informed me that part of the service (and charges) included putting an inspection camera into the drain but he didn't have the camera and the person available would not be able to do the inspection until the next day. I waited around the house until 2:00 pm for Chad to show up although I had asked drain tech to please have the camera guy come out first thing that morning. Chad did the inspection with his camera and recommended that I have clean-outs installed in my front yard, have my main-line Hydro-jetted and even have the drain pipe sleeved from the clean-outs to the city main-line. the cost of the clean-outs installed would be $3000 and installing the sleeve would run another $5000 -$7000. Chad even had a finance company waiting to loan me the money in case I didn't have $10,000 in cash available.
I called another plumbing company (FlowRight, Pueblo, CO) to have my main-line cleared again. The tech was on-time,friendly and professional. He snaked the main-line 3 times pulling out more roots until the final time when the cable came out nearly clean. To confirm the drain was clear, he filled the washer with water then drained it, turned on other faucets upstairs, flushed toilets, and let a vast amount of water into the main-line. He cleaned up the mess the tech from Affordable Plumbing had made with disinfecting wipes and charged me less money.
I've had problems with roots in the main-line before. I had the main snaked 3 years ago for the same problem. Chad may be correct that  this problem may continue to occur and the best fix is installing clean-outs and sleeving the clay pipe to the street. I mostly believe that Chad is a fast-talking salesman and Affordable Plumbing hired him to up-sell customers on expensive and over-priced services. BUYER BEWARE!!
FlowRight Plumbing also recommended I have clean-outs installed in my front yard but thought $3000. was a ridiculous price.

Great plumbing services.  We had approximately 15 projects completed with them throughout our time as home owners in the Springs.  Anything from addressing issues from our galvanized plumbing (our home was built in 1909), setting a toilet for our upstairs bathroom remodel, to hooking up our new dishwasher as a part of our kitchen remodel. They also saved us when Roto Rooter gave us a $15,000-20,000 quote to dig up and replace our sewer system.  I called Affordable for a second opinion and they came out right away.  They told us our lines were fine and just needed to be snaked.  The technician was honest and sent a scope down after the lines were clean just to show me that everything was in good shape.

I had a large plumbing issue. I called another company first. The tech they sent out was very rude. They weren't going to honor their discount as first offered to me. They upped the estimate because they said the tech added wrong. They were going to charge me a whole lot more than Affordable. And Affordable did more work than was on the other companies estimate. I am a single Senior and am often taken advantage of. They sent Brandon. So polite, just a real sweetheart. He worked about 5 hours. Hopefully it is finally fixed as I've have previous issues with this water heater that is only 5 years old. Thank you Brandon! (Guess who I will be calling in the future to snake out my sewer line and for Plumbing and Heating issues)?

Just wrapping up one of the most awful experiences with a plumber I've ever had.  I have used Affordable Plumbing for about 30 years for home and commercial building plumbing help.  This last time they cleaned out some of our sewer line and we paid the bill, however the same problem happened 3 months later.  Again they came and took care of the problem, but this time the charge was about half of the first visit so I have called the company many times now asking for an explanation.  Each time I was promised that a manager would call me back before the end of the day (because they were in a meeting or on the phone), but they never did.  They also said that our problem would be recurring and gave us a bid for a permanent fix.  We got a second opinion and were told the problem was totally different than what Affordable was telling us and we had them fix it.  Their cost was about 10% of the Affordable bid!!!!  So in short Affordable is anything but affordable, DON'T USE THEM.

Do NOT use this company.   I replaced my water heater 4 years ago and it already needs replaced because it wasn't installed correctly.   They left it leaking which caused corrosion and rust.   When I called to ask if it was under warranty the reception was rude and accused me of being hostile and also accused me of tampering with it causing the damage.   I am now out thousands of dollars thanks to their mistakes.

We called Affordable to find out why the main floor  toilet was gurgling only after water use in that bathroom and in other parts of the house. When  he came, the tech said it was because the toilet was failing and that it could be replaced for $700 dollars. I stated that I wanted to shop around for that, would not likely do anything about that today. The main tub was draining slowly and I asked if that had anything to do with the toilet issue. I was told that the tub could be snaked, but it would have to be from the overflow valve not the drain and that being an old part might need to be replaced in the process. The tech went downstairs to check the water pressure in the house. He said  the main valve packing nut was leaking, was tightened down all the way and would need to be replaced asap. We saw water on the valve pipe and floor. The cost for this repair was $500- 1500. However we had the furnace serviced this morning an hour prior to the plumbing appointment. The main valve sits about a foot and a half  away from the furnace and in clear view. After the furnace service I had vacuumed that whole area and saw absolutely no moisture at all. None. And now several hours later there still is no moisture . We told the tech we were not interested in doing any repairs today, needed to think about it. We then got two calls from the supervisor who wanted to know why not. After all this, I still don't know why the toilet gurgles after water is run in another part of the house. And we are seniors.

HOW SAD - AVOID USING...The New Ownership Does Not Stand Behind Their Work.
This used to be a good local company with very good customer service (that I had referred people to since 2003) until recently...most likely due to the new ownership.
Now their customer service is awful and they do not even attempt stand behind their work.

Had a pump replaced and installed by them 14 months ago at an outrageous cost of $1200.
One of the parts they installed was found to be leaking and apparently has been for at least a few months as evident by rusty screws and dried deposits on it.

Rather than come out to examine it to determine if it was a defective part or something else before making a determination, they immediately tried to blame it on anything and everything else even using accusations that another company must have come out and done something or you must have hit it...in other words...knowing nothing and having not even looked at the issue they determined over the phone that it must have been ANYTHING but something they did when they installed the part or even the part itself.
This despite the fact that the pump pit and lines are in a dedicated locked closet with NOTHING else in or around it.

This is the kind of hucksterism and unethical behavior that consumers are tired of.

I have to say that this business needs to change their name to UNAFFORDABLE . I received a call saying their tech was on the way. 45 minutes later he arrived. Saw the van pull up. Didn't come to my door for probably another 20 minutes. I showed him what needed fixed. The line from the water source to the toilet was leaking. Old line I believe. He was in and out of my house several times. Each time he went to his van...another 20+ minutes. Said he had a bad part and had to change it again. Said it was a manufacture defect?! Any way, for less than an hour of time actually performing the simple task and a $25-30 part I was given the bill for $307. And that included a senior discount. I could find an attorney for less per hour!! (Maybe not these days) I won't use them again and recommend if you're reading this that you DON'T!

My Mom made an appointment with AP&H for 12-19 between 2 and 4. They didn't show up. I called at 4:05 and was told that she didn't have an appointment Saturday and it was actually Sunday between 4-6. My Mom felt horrible that she got the dates wrong and was confused because she wrote it down. I called AP&H Sunday and asked if they could call 20-30 min prior to showing up. The lady said could and then stated that she was the one who moved my mom's appointment because there was an emergency gas leak. I get it and understand about emergencies, here's where AP&H dropped the ball big time. The lady stated that she called my mom once and wasn't able to leave a message, and so she changed the appointment time and date. She would have never known about the change unless I called. She apologized and stated that she was going to talk to her management for a discount for our troubles because of their screwup (changing the appointment time and date without informing the customer, and not informing the customer when AP&H was contacted Saturday at 4:05).
I informed the technician, of the situation and conversation that I had with the customer service representative. BTW the service was actually good and was very efficient but never called prior to arriving. He stated that there is no discount that could be given, and the prices are $168 for a visit which includes 1 hr of work without any parts, and $312 if he has to replace anything. I asked him to contact his office and they can explain. He kind of blew me off, and at the end (22 minutes at my mothers residence and no parts used) that he is going to charge us the normal rate, because he should be charging the higher rate, again 22 mins inside and no parts were replaced or used. I didn't want to continue arguing so I paid for the service. I immediately called and asked for a manager I call me when they come back into the office on Monday. The customer service representative said I should receive a call Monday between 8-10, and still haven't received a call.
I would highly suggest not using this company unless you have to, good work, horrible customer service.

The company name Affordable should be a sign, they are Expensive compared to other Furnace repair companies.  My Carrier Furnace was cycling often and displayed a fault code.  I researched the issue on-line
and a known problem with this manufacture pointing to a bad inducer motor.
Called Affordable Plumbing and Heat and let them know the issue and requested they bring the part for a quick fix.  They did not and took the technician over one hour to confirm it was the inducer motor.

That initial diagnosis time was not a concern for me because Affordable has a special offer which states Free Furnace or A/C Diagnosis ($75 Value) with repair service. on their website.  The actual printed special offer just states Free Furnace or A/C Diagnosis.

They came back the second day and installed the part that was under  warranty in 30 minutes.  The charge was $260. I immediately thought that was high for 30 minutes of work.

I talked to the managers to resolve this and they would not acknowledge their stated offer Free Diagnosis instead insisting that the first and second day hours had to be charged.  He then said that the charge was really $260 + $75 equaling $335 but I got a good value at $260.

After checking with another Furnace Repair company to get a cost estimate to Diagnose and repair the quote was $90 Diagnostic fee and  $60 to install the unit.  Basically less than half of Affordable.  The name of the company should of been a trigger because they are definitely Not Affordable

Suggestions to Affordable:

Don't state misleading or false advertisement of special offers.  The words in your offer have no bearing on how long it takes your technician to determine the cause the problem, its suppose to be Free.

Don't offer your customers (me) $25 to compensate for a $185 difference in charges from your competitor.

Positives:
Affordable's website provided convenient website links that allow customers to leave reviews.

So when you ask a company to send someone out for a repair quote and they give you an amount, isn't that what you would expect to pay.... Well not with this company, they added on an extra $250, and they took longer than they had told us! My husband called the manager, a lot of good that did, now we know why they didn't have a long wait like the other companies did, they are sitting around waiting for business that they can give the wrong quote to. This is a terrible business, and they are crooks. Their equipment broke while attempting to drain a pipe in my front yard. They return to my place close to 10:00pm at night with an e-form to sign for permission to get their equipment. In the process, they say it will cost me about $5,000.00. I'm signing, believing it's permission for them to collect their equipment all the while saying that I need to discuss this new fee as it was not my fault that their equipment broke. Two days later, they showed me an updated contract, one that I had never seen but containing my e-signature, saying that I will pay $5, 500.00 for their mistake. Added to this, their boss would not return my calls until I submitted a poor Google Review. He then contacted me to threaten me to take down my review but not address their extortion nor the added damage to my yard.

Billy H was the most helpful plumber I have ever been in contact with! I called affordable plumbing to help me with a water tank that has leaked all over the floor in my basement. He was not only on time but asked to come early if it worked for my schedule. When he arrived he was efficient, thorough and took the time to explain everything to me(as a woman who knows nothing about plumbing this was worth more than gold!). When talking to my crappy home warranty company he was super knowledgeable and helped me get them to actually answer my questions instead of dance around the question and give me vague half ass answers(I think politicians and insurance companies are in cahoots). I would highly recommend him to anyone! He is professional, polite, compassionate, efficient and a great advocate for his customers!!!!!

Worst company ever!! I had a plumbing issue in my house. I was told I had low pressure by my tenants . The diverter to my shower was upside down. I called affordable plumbing and told them the issue and was told it would be 50$ for someone to come out and give me an estimate. I had already purchased the equipment needed to resolve the issue.  The employee came to my house walked downstairs and verified that I had low pressure in the shower and verified what I had already told them. Then proceeded to tell me that what I bought was ok and tried to sell me a different brand and then quoted me according to Patrick the manager $400+ for a $200 job and then charged me $125 after being told it would only be $50, after I denied service. I told the manager that I would like a refund because I was never explained to about the $125 and 4+ days later I am still awaiting my refund. Also according to another manager who called me had no clue what I was talking about because he was just told he was supposed to call me, he stated he would look into getting me a refund. Little did the technician know I have cameras on my house that showed him verifying what I have already explained to be wrong for 25 minutes. Lastly I would not recommend this company to anyone.

We sprung a leak on the weekend. When it's an off hours like thiamin always worry about getting someone who does shoddy work or being taken advantage of. We had someone at the house in less than 2-hours and he did a nice job. Our plumber was extremely nice as well.

Called Affordable Plumbing to have my leaky water heater looked at. My appointment was made, a window of time for arrival was given to me and everything was professionally handled. Within 5 minutes and a few questions, it was determined the leaky unit needed to be replaced. The person that came out to the house, looked at the water heater, turned off the gas to the water heater, gave me his opinion, checked on the manufacturers warrantee, and looked up a flat fee estimate. Afterwards charged me for a trip charge, $50 (I was aware of this charge) plus an hour of labor, $125 (not aware of this charge). I didn't witness any labor performed, unless it was labor to give me an estimate. This was a scheduled appointment and during normal business hours. I did not use Affordable Plumbing because the estimate that was given to me to replace exactly what was existing, was $3210.50 for a 50 gallon power vent high efficiency natural gas water heater. I wasted $175.00 on an overpriced estimate. After getting a second (trip charge $40) and third (free over the phone) estimate, I got the job done for $1800.00. I will never know why this company would charge so much for someone to come out and look at it to determine it needs to be replaced and give such a high priced estimate? Wasted time and money!

We had a new water heater, new furnace and new AC, and sewer line repaired. All the techs that came to our house were friendly, professional, and very clean. We had failed inspections on both the water heater and furnace. They seemed to be easy fixes, like it was just a careless mistake or a someone got in a hurry. So it was a hassle to try to continually schedule a time to be home for the inspectors. Also, some poor communications between the office and the teams out in field led to some scheduling problems and we had to call to get them to send us our receipts. Overall we are happy with everything now. I'd give all the gentlemen who came to our house 5 stars, except for failed inspections.

So responsive and kind. I have not heard a company be so appreciative to be selected for a job. Came the same day and Dean came to our home as scheduled. He was so polite and professional. Very considerate of our home as he completed the repair. I genuinely feel that he was honest about all that needed to be repaired. Dean was exceptional with his service attitude and took the time to explain everything to myself and my elderly parents. Highly recommend!

I know next to nothing when it comes to plumbing (literally, I didn't even know how to shut off the main water line before Affordable Plumbing and Heat came to my house) so when my bathtub faucet wouldn't turn off the water anymore I panicked.  Water was coming out and all I saw was my water bill going up and up and up.

I looked up emergency plumbers and found Affordable Plumbing and Heat, so I gave them a call.  The lady that answered the phone was very helpful and friendly, and was also upfront with the fee they charged for an emergency service call.  So I knew what I was getting myself into.  They set up an emergency appointment and the plumber was here within 30 minutes of my call.

Raymond, the plumber they sent to my house, was friendly and professional.  He showed me how to turn off the main water line and then explained everything he was doing as he fixed my faucet.  If I ever have a similar issue in the future, at least I'll know how to fix it myself now thanks to him.  He even let my 4 year old son play with some of his tools (with my supervision, of course) and showed him how they worked.  Then he went out to his truck and brought in a kids wash-off tattoo for him.  My son thought he was pretty cool!  =)

I don't know much about plumbing prices (never called a plumber before today), so I can't say whether they're reasonable or not (or affordable as their name says).  I've heard plumbers are expensive though and I expected to pay more than I did, so I was ok with the cost.

All in all it was a great first impression from the company and I'd be happy to call on them again in the future.  5 stars because I can't think of anything negative to say at all.  =)

Wow! My toilet messed up bad. I called them and they sent Derek on Sunday, he came early and was done very fast. He was amazing and no surcharge for a Sunday service. These guys are my plumbers for now on. Others come and go, this company has been here for a long time and they are reliable and customer service oriented.  I asked my friends if anyone ever used them, the ones that did gave them raving reviews. I'm now one of their fans and customers. Don't  hesitate to call them.

I had a second opinion after Affordable Plumbing and Heat wanted to replace my entire heating system and update it. They told me that I was leaking carbon monoxide in the house and I should probably move out. They wanted to charge me over $5,000 dollars for the job. The second opinion came from another professional plumber from a different company and he tested my house for carbon monoxide and told me there was nothing. I bought more new detectors and still nothing. He told me I didn't need to update anything and that this was nonsense. Affordable Plumbing and Heat are NOT trustworthy. Do not hire them because they use fear as a tactic to get you to immediately use their services. I was fortunate to receive a second opinion from a reliable professional!

Total scam! Was told that my entire shower unit needed to be cut out, a new one soldered, to the tune of $800-1000. What we really needed was a $9 part and some elbow grease. Wouldn't refund my service call money even though they agreed that the information I was given was bogus. DON'T CALL THEM!

Diagnosed problem with leak above water heater.  Was told the $75 trip fee would be waved.  Upon reviewing the bill the trip fee was not waived.  When questioned the tech I was told he did not charge me for work done worth the $75 and came up with a bid after the work was done that was $250 higher than the charge.  Reported the irregularity to their customer service and was told I would receive a call from a manager.  No call was received.  To top it off the technician unplugged the freezer and ruined over $200 worth of food.  Not a good experience..won't use again

Wow!  Our furnace crapped out the day after Thanksgiving.  They had a guy out later that day to do an estimate and go over our options.  Turns out that replacement was the best choice and we scheduled the job.  Saturday morning, Adam and Chean showed up, quickly surmised the situation and best options and go to it.  They said it would be about 6 hours.  Turns out it was closer to 11 (!) hours.  They worked in the snow, the wind and the night until it was done and done right!  Super comfortable with our new furnace and A/C unit and can't recommend these guys too much!  Super great crew, great price, and unheard of work ethic.  Great job!

My parents called them for a leaking T and P valve on their boiler. The tech called ahead and showed up early--great so far. He did some diagnosis and concluded that it was not the valve but the expansion tank. To replace the tank (a $30 part) and 15 minutes labor was $375. After that, the valve was still leaking. So now he thinks the valve is bad. So he replaces that for another $200. There was also the trip fee of $75 and a system flush for $150. So now we're at $800. My dad complained a bit and got an $80 discount. All told, the tech spent 3.5 hours (including a one hour trip to get the expansion tank). I looked up the parts cost online and they would cost under $100. So it comes out to $620 for 3.5 hours labor.

Day 2--the valve is still leaking. Tech comes back and now says it is the regulator and it will be another $350.  A $40 part and maybe an hour labor--we declined.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

We called about a leak in our ceiling, and Affordable adjusted their technician's schedule to respond to us same day. The problem turned out to be a leak in our upstairs toilet, which had dripped down and damaged our ceiling and drywall. The technician, who was friendly and professional, diagnosed the problem, and it was a simple, quick fix of tightening some bolts. Unfortunately, we were then told we owed $150. This is NOT what we were told when we hired Affordable over the phone. We were told by the office staff that there would be a $75 trip fee which would be refunded once the work was done. The technician told us this was not the case and we would have to pay the trip fee and $75 for the turning of some bolts. The latter was not unexpected considering that plumbers are among the highest paid technicians. However, the technician explained a complicated rationale for the $150: that Affordable was charging for a diagnostic fee we were not told about, which was in addition to any work that had to be done. Because the technician didn't consider that he'd actually made a repair, the trip fee would not be refunded and we would pay the diagnostic fee. We called the company to complain and were given a long, convoluted explanation by a manager that confirmed the technician's explanation. When we explained that we had NOT been told there would be a diagnostic fee, he would not refund the trip fee and allow us to simply pay the $75 for the non-repair the technician did. He said this arrangement was standard practice for any other plumber. What is affordable, then, about Affordable Plumbing? The name of the company is misleading if they are no more affordable than any other plumber. We will not hire them again or recommend them to others.

There are not enough to express my gratitude for this company and the guys they sent out.  Imagine...Saturday, 6pm, doing a load of laundry and you realize that your basement is flooding.  Water totally backed up.  Call these folks on a recommendation from a property manager and I don't even call around to price shop.  They schedule someone for midnight with a fairly reasonable $150 afterhours trip charge.
Justin calls - super nice and friendly - and let's me know he's on his way.  Despite 2 hours of attempts to scope, clean, and clean the line, there was still standing water :(  THE SOLUTION:  Justin does not charge me for work he could not complete, but instead schedules his partner Dakota to come first thing in the morning, with a bigger, badder roto-rooter.  It still took them time, too, but problem temporarily solved.  Follow up is a scope Monday afternoon to really dig in to what's wrong.  So, more to come, but I cannot state how awesome it was to be served, communicated with, treated kindly and then charged reasonably for the services.  I'll recommend these plumbers any day!

Had a hot water heater installed with a code venting upgrade. They came out on a Saturday (which was scheduled in advance) and installed the new one. I was told it would be good to go and they scheduled the inspection. The day of the inspection I called to see when they might be by and it was never scheduled. No big deal. Inspection came the following week and failed it because it was the wrong venting gauge. I called affordable immediately and had to argue with them that they had put in new venting (they claimed they just installed the water heater when venting upgrade was clearly on my invoice. Luckily affordable came and fixed the issue that day (and almost charged me even though it was something they did not do correctly). Next week the inspector came out again. It failed for combustion venting. This is when it got a little frustrating. Called affordable and they said that they could have someone else come out to fix it. The day of the appointment affordable called me and said that they didn't have the proper venting and that they probably couldn't fix the issue because their supplier was closed on a Saturday. I told them out of convenience I would happily provide the vent they needed. They said they would call me right back to see if that would work for the tech. I waited 1 1/2 hours before I called them back to see if someone was actually going to come by. Couldn't get an answer and was forwarded to the manager. Finally (and without a call) the tech showed up. I was told that putting in the vent wouldn't be free (even though I was told it would be taken care of because of all of the hassles I had dealt with already the day prior) and that my best option was to just remove the door while the inspector was present. Super shady. Hopefully my water heater will finally pass after dealing with these people for over a month. I would not recommend them in any way.

Stay away from this company!!!  I hired them to fix a small leak in the upper reservoir of a toilette at my rental house.  It was an easy repair that I could have done myself for the $15 in parts that it would have cost.  I'm military and was traveling outside of the state however, so I hired what I thought was a reputable company to do the job.  Instead of giving me a price quote for repairing the leak, the plumber called me and told me he had already done the work at a cost of $189!! I could have bought a new toilette for that.  And then the plumber told me that the tenant wanted him to install new sink facets for her and that he could give me a good deal if I let him do the install.  I told him very clearly NO, that no additional work was to be done.  When I received my bill, it had an additional charge of $125 for the sink faucet!  Affordable Plumbing and Heat is anything but affordable.  My bill was over $350 for a $50 job at best.  After repeatedly calling the manager, Pat, he has yet to give me a reason for why they charged me for work I didn't authorize.   I will be going to the Better Business Bureau and taking these crooks to court.

Boo! Save your time and money. Use BPR Services LLC. Stephen came in a Sunday and took care of me, literally saving me hundreds of dollars, he's my go to from now on! The Best part about Affordable,  was that they put on booties over their shoes...for my homes protection, but they left sewage on my back wall and the sides of my cabinets, and the front of another. BUT...most importantly, they were SO wrong on their diagnosis. Guess what, Jerrold, Casey and all the others I dealt with, NO GREASE TRAP!! At all, but I guess had your camera guy, actually ran a camera, he might have found out himself, but it was suggested to me that they did that just to line up business. I was also told that rerouting the pipes to the main, NOT POSSIBILE...with out excavation. Lesson learned, don't find out the way I did!!

Affordable is not so affordable.  We had a kitchen sink clog on a Sunday evening.  Tech came out and claimed he couldn't fix it, so we ended up paying the full-service fee for after hours, plus a service fee the next day, plus additional fees for opening up line.  All in all for a kitchen sink clog we paid 400.00.

If I could leave zero stars I would.  Name should be changed to UNaffordable Plumbing.  The tech showed up without proper equipment to finish the job but didn't inform me he wouldn't be able to go the entire distance to the street then tried to blame it on my pipes and wanted to up-sale more services.  Charged me $300 for an unfinished job.  Called a competitor who was able to complete the job in half an hour for half the price.  Hey Affordable guess what.  Nothing wrong with my pipes.
Called the office to speak with someone and spoke with several ladies who all told me Bill and later his boss Braun would call me back to discuss further.  Didn't have any issues cashing my check but guess the phone lines don't make outgoing calls just like their tech's. can't finish simple jobs because Bill and Braun never called me.

Be wary and call a competitor.

My wife and I are working on attempt #4 with this company to finish a job that was never completed all the way. They have only been able to meet the time window once that was agreed on and all other times they got the time wrong or their previous appointment ran longer then expected with an emergency. I understand if the company has short notice emergencies or something takes longer than expected but, for it to run through my entire appointment window without a courtesy call is unacceptable. I have had to take time out of work to wait for the technicians 4 times now and It will take days sometimes for someone to call me back. This is unprofessionalism at its best.

Wouldn't even give them 1 star if I had a choice.  Appt was for a 2 hour window between 10 and 12.   Dispatch called morning of and said technician had court and wouldn't be able to make it until 1.   Called at 1 and was told it had now moved to between 3 and 5.  This was after it was explained to 2 different people that we had another commitment in the afternoon and needed the technician to come first thing in the afternoon.   Also called at 130 to find out why someone had not let us know when they would be at home, was promised a call back.  Did not call back.  Technician did not show until 330 making us miss our other commitment.  This is horrible service with no regard for customer.  Don't ever use this company.

I've used Affordable before and they have been okay.  The scheduling person is delightful. However, this last plumbing issue turned out to be just a loose screw.  The plumber laughed and said this happens once a month or so.  I was happy to pay the $89 trip charge.  Then the plumber said let me get a wrench to tighten that for you.  After one quick tighten he said that will be $200 because, technically, I did some work. Suddenly, not very affordable and I felt rather dupped.

All I can say is Affordable Plumbing tried to rip me off twice over the years. It first occurred when I lived on Sunnywood Lane, where I was told I'd be refunded and never was. Then, back in November or December of 2017, they told the person from whom I bought a townhome the boiler needed to be replaced when it absolutely did not & was in great shape. I'd never recommend them to anyone after their showing extreme untrustworthiness twice. I would hope for everyone else's sake they've stopped such bad practices by now. I also wish they'd finally return the money owed back to me from years ago.

John, Travis and Pat came to do an install of a Bryant AC unit at my house on 5 Jun 2018. The three of them were very professional and courteous towards me. During the course of the installation, they had to change the route that they had to run their lines to due to a metal beam being in the way. They came to talk to me about it, offered me a couple of alternative paths. I gave them direction after making my decision and was happy with the results. They had to cut a hole in the baseboard to allow for additional cables to be run and after they were done, I wasn't even able to tell where they had to cut.  John and Travis took me around to show me the entire installation, explaining everything that they did. The installation of the lines was very neat and tidy. Pat's installation of the electrical boxes, cables, etc was also very tidy. All three of them completed the work as I asked and to my satisfaction. Overall my experience was great and I would highly recommend them to anyone else.

I am very happy with the service and attention we were given by Barry with APH.  Our main issue was a clogged drain, in our new (used) house, which proved to be full of food and grease.  Barry arrived right on time, quickly quoted me the price for fixing the clog, and got to work.  He ran the snake to its full length (75ft) and offered helpful tips I could follow to further flush/dissolve the build-up and what I may do to lessen the accumulation of build-up in the future.  He explained that if the clog came back quickly (within 6 mos) then he would suggest a hot water jet treatment at that time and he quoted the price ($225, I think he said.).  Barry was clean, easy going yet professional, helpful in sharing other offerings of the company without being salesy, and looked at a few other, minor fixture and spigot issues I was concerned about.  He also guided me through the questions I had about APH coupons and, because of that, I was able to save $25 off the bill.  Thanks Barry and thanks APH!

Affordable Plumbing and Heat came to my home on Sunday August 13,2015. I had discovered that my hot water heater had started leaking badly on Friday August 11th. Talk about an awesome organization. The technician Mike Dunn they sent was so professional, knowledgeable & smart. Not to mention patient with my many questions. You see, I'm newly separated after 25 yrs of marriage & was use to a man doing the plumbing, electrical and heavy lifting. I expected Mike to get impatient with me and all the questions so i could learn a few things to do to help myself. He not only was patient but took the time to repeat without any hesitation or irritation if i asked for further explanation. If all the technician's are as professional and helpful as Mike Dunn then Affordable Plumbing and Heat will be in business for many many years to come. They worked with me on financing as well. Being single now and not the same income as once was it takes me a little more to pay what i need. What a great recommendation to any and everyone. Affordable plumbing and Heat will take care of your needs. Fantastic Job Colorado Springs!!!
Thank You,

The local managers from Affordable came out to look at our main sewer line that needed to be re-pitched to the correct angle. We discussed a few things and they stated that they could have one of their technicians come out and do the job for approximately $300. They stated that they would need to install some inexpensive hangers that basically hold the pipe up to the bottom of the floor. Per code they stated that the hangers need to be hung every 3ft or so (I dont remember the exact spacing so this is approximate from my recollection). The day comes that we have the appointment for the tech to actually do the job but NO technician. We call Affordable and they tell us that the tech cant make it and needs to re-schedule. Would of been professional for them to call and let us know instead of the time passing and we have to call them to see what''s going on. (Dont you think?) So we end up having them re-schedule for another day. The tech finally show's up and we explain to him what we need and what is going on. About 1.5 hours later the tech comes out of the crawl space and say's that he is all done. We assumed incorrectly that the job is done and done correctly so we go on with our life. Sometime later we get a bill in the mail from Affordable. At that time I go into the crawl space to examine the work and I saw only 2 hangers for a 30ft long pipe that should of had at least 10 hangers installed. None of the 2 had any affect on the pitch/angle of the pipe. The pipe is literally at the exact same angle as it was before Affordable came by. We contact them and state that the job was not done. Long Story short, this has gone on for months and the job still has not been done that we asked for. VERY DIS-SATISFIED!!!

Company is incompetent and not affordable.   The only person who knew what they were doing was the technician who did the work.  They made 2 appointments with me and didn't show up, for various reasons, but never let me know they had cancelled.  I had to call them at least 10 times just to get the work completed.  Then when I call to pay balance due, they bill me for more than the invoice shows due and simply argue with me.  I assume they just hope I'm foolish enough to pay more than my invoice states.   We finally clear this up and after I pay bill they tell me they will send me an invoice showing balance due of zero.   Invoice never shows up!! and had to call them, AGAIN,  just to get my cleared invoice. Zero stars for the company itself but I'll give them 1 star because they have a technician who finally completed the work.  Don't do business with this company.

Went with ths company because was on Best of the Springs and needed a plumber.  Well we were quoted a time frame latest being 5:30 and the plumber called and confirmed that he would be at our place by 5:30, well he showed up at 5:50!!! He never talked barely introcduced himself and we had to ask him what was going on.  He completed the task but left my bathroom a MESS! I have pictures of it! I had just cleaned my bathroom about 3 days before and when he left, he left his items behind, and had muddy (or at least hoping it was mud!!) footprints and a mess on the walls as well as the potty.  he had to cut the potty off and left dust from it and never trightened it down. He then said we have other tasks we should look into.  The next day they called about SIX times!! Leaving a voice mail once.  I called and said I wanted to talk about the issues I had and also emailed, they have never followed though.

I was seriously disappointed with this company. Our boiler wasn't working or getting past the purge cycle. The technician sat in my garage for over two hours fiddling with the boiler. I came out finally and he says he thinks we need a new blower. While fiddling with his iPad he didn't seem to know how to use- it took him another 30 min to tell me it would be 959 bucks for a new blower. I asked him to turn everything back on and it worked fine. I told him from the beginning I was sure it was an air blockage per the manual. In the end he charged me 275 bucks for basically doing what the manual said. Waste of money and so overpriced. Pretty sure we were being scammed for a new blower.

The technician was courteous and professional, however his problem solving left much to be desired.  When the tech arrived we explained that there was a small leak, and the sink was slow to drain.  He looked at the situation and found the pipes were not correctly installed, and that a replacing the T and a few 90s would solve both problems, as the improper way these were installed had likely caused one of them to become clogged.  He completed the replacement/glue work, then reported to my wife that there was good news and bad news, good news being that the leak is fixed, the bad news was that it was slow to drain (this was not news as it was part of the problem statement).  The tech wanted $90 for an additional hour so he could drive across town to get a snake to address the slow drain.  I'm disappointed that a plumbing technician didn't have a snake in his truck, and that he didn't take more steps to ensure the slow drain was fixed while he still had the pipe open with easy access for a snake.  Since we didn't want to pay the extra $90 given the explanation that most of this time would be spent driving, we elected to try finishing the job with a DIY snake from home depot.  I'm giving an extra star for courtesy and politeness, the the majority of the score is based on the merit of the work itself.

Was on time, polite and got the work done quickly. Now to the reason of only 2 stars. THE PRICES ARE THRU THE ROOF. $259 to install a $8-$12 valve. It only took about 15-20 actual minutes of labor. Then a quote of $500 to hook up the water supply and drain lines to the dishwasher, maybe 20-30 mins. I really don't mind paying a professional to do professional work, but I can't justify these prices

Affordable must be a relative term here... I needed plumbing replaced for an entire house after all the copper pipes were stolen out of the walls by renters and was quoted ~$38,000! We got a second quote and it was around $3,700 for the exact same work. I was absolutely floored at the difference. I had them reset a toilet for me a while back as well and was charged $450.... Upon speaking to other plumbers in the area they all agree that affordable plumbing and heat dramatically overprice their services. I will say- everyone I have interacted with has been pleasant and the work has been acceptable(setting a toilet should be pretty standard I suppose) but my goodness, ain't nobody got money for those kinds of prices!!

Avoid this company at all costs.  They are either incompetent or sharks that tried to take advantage of an 80+ year-old potential customer, whose furnace was working only intermittently or not at all on the same night as below-zero temperatures were hitting Colorado in early February 2020.  She was quoted by Affordable Plumbing and Heat a repair costing $3900 to replace the entire electrical box for the home, and also would need to lower the electric meter outside the house to be at eye level. They wanted half down on $3900 before they would start the work. They also told her permits would have to be pulled which meant they couldn't start until END OF FEBRUARY.  Keep in mind the furnace WAS NOT RUNNING because of a problem at the breaker box and the expected low that very night was BELOW ZERO temperatures - so she gave them half down!!!

The next day after talking with her son, she put an immediate stop-order on the down-payment with the card-company.  Then a reputable, known-to-be-trustworthy electrician was called and came to the house that afternoon.  He removed the panel cover to the electric box inside, replaced a cheap 15-amp breaker switch that the furnace was powered through, and also identified that one of the two power cable legs in the electric box that originates running from the City's transformer outside the home was not hot such that the house was only receiving 110 volts, not the required 220, and half of the breaker switches in the electrical box were not being supplied with power.  The City arrived and fixed the problem at the transformer in the backyard within about an hour that very afternoon.  TOTAL COST OF REPAIR:  $20 -- NOT $3900 !!! as quoted by Affordable Plumbing and Heating and it WAS FIXED THE NEXT AFTERNOON NOT the end of the MONTH that Affordable quoted her the day before. Both the City and the trustworthy electrician assure us that NOTHING is wrong with the electrical box, and the meter outside the home does NOT need to be lowered.  Just so you know I didn't mistype - the actual cost of the repair was 195 times lower than the price quoted by Affordable.  This is a case of disgusting incompetence -OR- a gross attempt to take advantage of a declining elderly widow, or both.  AVOID Affordable Plumbing and Heating at all costs.  THEY DON'T DESERVE ANY STARS.

I called with a sewer back up needing the drain snaked out and they had someone where that afternoon. Kurt showed up, explained everting to me completely and thoroughly. He was very nice, polite and efficient. He laid floor protection down and wore booties inside my home. He was a pleasure to have in my home. He did an inspection in the crawl space for a clean out, found one and it was not easily accessible for his equipment so he opted for removing the toilet and going into the drain that direction.  When he was finished the toilet was reset securely and the all the drains were cleared and free of any clogs. The service cost me, $261.00 after a small discount of 13 or so dollars. Kurt let me know that with this service included was a camera inspection of the drain, and he called and set th appointment for me, the appointment was set for that Friday at 4pm. This is where my review goes south. At no fault of Kurt who represented this company perfectly and gave me all the confidence in the world that I would have a good experience, I was let down. No one called or showed up for the appointment on that Friday. The appointment was only 2 days later so I did not feel I should have called to confirm the appointment and assumed (my fault) that if there was an issue someone from this company would have contacted me.
In addition to no one showing up for the camera inspection of the line, I had also contacted the office about having my furnace inspected. There is/was a coupon online for a Free Furnace or A/C Diagnosis ($75 Value) with repair service. When I arranged for the appointment to be set, Lea Franks informed me the service would have a charge of $125.00. When I said the coupon online said it was free this was the response - Unfortunately Ms. Elicia the coupon is to for a/c or furnace diagnosis not for annual check/inspection. Hmmm interesting that when I replied, 'I do not know the difference' I did not receive any further information.
So, 5 stars for Kurt the service gentleman, 0 stars for the rest.
I am unsure of how affordable it is, as I did not get any other quotes but I am sure of how unreliable it is.

This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with.  They installed a $20K system for our house about 2 years ago (New ducting, A/C, furnace) and the A/C unit already does not work and this company refused to come out to service our unit because we are out of their service area...but they INSTALLED the ENTIRE system.  After multiple phone calls and being passed around the people they want to charge over $350 just to come to our house and that does not include diagnostics and labor fees.  THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE and has the WORST customer service.  I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Buyer beware!

Called for furnace diagnostic and was quoted $75. The gentleman Dillion concludes that my gas valve needed to be replaced. He quoted me $611 and that he needed to go get the part. I looked online and found the part for under $100 and felt confident doing the repair myself. I called the company not even 5 minuted from him leaving to cancel the request. Over the phone Tom said no problem it will just be $75 for the diagnostic. I agreed to that payment. When the tech returned he said it was now $150 for the diagnostic, in which I told him what I was told. I get on the phone with Tom and he says: I was thinking about it, and I'm charging double for our time because we left to go get the part. I advised I called literally five minutes after he left and felt charging me double was absurd. He said ok I'll lower it to $120. Still felt that the original quote of $75 was more than fair, considering all the tech did was wait on hold for Lennox support, and that was all I was going to pay. He then tells me that's fine, I'll just send the rest to collections!!! Which is ridiculous. Tom was incredibly rude and I will not be recommending this company to any of my friends or clients.

Affordable Plumbing came out to repair my backup sewage. Marco is absolutely wonderful.  He looked at the best way to approach opening/cutting my drain without having to open drywall.  The excavation team really was thoughtful, prior to tearing up my yard, I believe it was Wyatt  saved my rose which was very nice.   Most of the team worked really hard to restore my yard after digging it up which was appreciated.

Call someone else! I get the $75 service call, but what I don't get is them charging me $200 plus dollars for a sensor that I could have purchased from Amazon 3 for $8.  He didn't bother to show the part he replaced, so I can't even guarantee it was replaced. The technician then tried to tell me I needed a new thermostat that he could install for$350. I bought one $85, and found I didn't need it.  The one I have works perfectly fine. He proceeded to tell me that the igniter, switch, and a couple other parts were needed, and I was looking at $1600 for just those parts and I should consider a new furnace.  I looked those parts up, from the manufacture, and they were less that $300.  The technician, in his report, stated that my furnace would not last the night.  It's been chugging along.  These people prey on you when you are vulnerable and should be drummed out of business.  I will be filing a report with the BBB just for good measure.  Unless you have money to burn, shop around.

Had a broken water line for my sprinkler system. Called and receptionist said that they had a cancelation and could have someone out the next day between 10 and noon.  Said they would call when on the way.  Waited and technician showed up around 11:40. (I never received a call).  Showed technician broken water line and he said it was an easy fix. Completed the repair in approx. 30 minutes.  Used the on line coupon to save $25.  He did give me a quote on replacing the manifold assembly for my sprinkler system, but I passed as the cost was higher than I was willing to pay.  I do not know who they compare to other plumbers in the area.  $50 just to show up and then add labor and parts charges on top of that. Work he preformed has a 1 year guarantee.
Stephen was the technician and was very professional.

CALL SOMEONE ELSE!!!
Hired Affordable Plumbing & Heat to come out and attach new Honeywell humidifiers that were replacement through a recall of humidifiers we had purchased from Affordable years ago that never really worked.  We had the new humidifiers installed but they were not plug and play so we needed help.  The tech arrived around 4pm and got them working within an hour but didn't have a piece of wood to mount the RO system.  I said I had wood in the garage but he said it was an easy installation and seemed to want to leave.  I assumed because it was after 5pm. He talked my husband into finishing the work and the bill for just over an hour (including instructions to my husband) was $375.00.  The installation was anything but easy.  3 hours of going online to watch videos and finally the RO was installed but it was constantly flowing water into the drain.  I called Affordable and they said that there would not be a charge if this was a continuation of a job not finished, I assumed it was.  Upon coming out and looking the tech told me that the system was a steam system and that was bad.  He said the water is supposed constantly run because 70 percent of the water is wasted and tried to sell me another better unit. Since this one is brand new I asked him to bypass the RO system which was removing the tube from the RO and putting back on the old filter.  It took him minutes.  Came upstairs and asked for an additional $150.00.  He never told me he was going to bill me before he started.  We could have easily moved the tube from the new system to the old one.  When I called to speak to a manager they listened, called me back and told me that the tech told them that my husband volunteered to finish the job. OH NO... that never happened.  He agreed when it looked like the tech wanted to leave.  The manager agreed that I should have been told about the $150.00 charge in advance but oh well, they felt it was a fare charge for the service.  I would never have called their tech out again to finish the job if I knew they would bill an additional $150.00 for less than an hour of work (which they lied about how long it took). So for $475.00 we did more than half of the work to install these humidifiers and would never work again with Affordable Heating and Air.  Ever!  To bad for them because I am a property manager with several properties that I was talking to their tech about before he started working on and not finishing the job.

I called Affordable Plumbing and they said they'd have someone out in a couple of hours if not sooner. If not sooner meant 30 minutes. Delbert came and accessed the situation. He was knowledgeable and very courteous. After diagnosing the problem he didn't try to push any services on me or try to sell me anything; just matter of factly gave me some options.

I was impressed, and I will call them again for future plumbing needs.

We called Affordable Plumbing to look at our furnace that stopped working the night before.  They told me that two specific parts were broken beyond repair, and that it would be well over $1,000 to fix.  They led me to believe that it would be much cheaper and a better decision at that point to get a new furnace at a cost of three or four thousand.  Our furnace was not that old, so we decided to get a second opinion, and we're so glad we did!

Another tech came out later that day and had the furnace up and running within minutes.  He did a full safety inspection and said that both the parts we were told were broken were totally fine, and that the only issue he saw was a pipe that was disconnected.  I'm glad we trusted our gut and got another opinion, it saved us several thousand dollars.  We will not use Affordable Plumbing & Heat in the future, and feel they are very dishonest.

We have used Affordable Plumbing on two occasions. Once for a big project and once to fix a toilet, and both times we have been very, very disappointed. We should have learned our lesson! With the big project, we were really impressed with the plumber who was both knowledgable and enthusiastic but electrical and mechanical both failed inspection several times. That is completely unacceptable when you have to take time out of your day to wait on the inspector and then turn around and wait for them to come fix it. For the second project (the toilet fix), the plumber just flat out tried to rip us off. I actually noticed that the water valve was not turned all the way on and that was the main problem but then he still recommended rebuilding the entire toilet tank mechanism because it would eventually wear out(!) What?! No, thanks. Also, their call support staff we dealt with was neither friendly nor competent. Hard pass on hiring them again.

BEWARE! We used affordable plumbing and heating service cause we just had a water T-pipe leak by our furnace/water heater last month and it was around 7/00pm on a Sunday. I get it it's at night time and weekend but the price we paid for a small water leak and less than an hour worth without difficulty or challenging work, no wall cutting, no reaching for right places, no disabling heaters/water, etc) just replacement of a T-pipe type of work. The price we paid was OUTRAGEOUS!! The company charged us $600 and that's with military discount. So Keep note of this company and BEWARE and Never again!!

Affordable is the the BEST! I have been a customer of Affordable Plumbing and Heat for over ten years and they have always provided excellent customer service and completed each job with the utmost of professional expertise. I just had a old hot water heater replaced in a tight space and it was a difficult install but the technician was very competent and was also able to advise on current code and upgrading of the vent and location of the gas shut off. I feel safe knowing the job was done right the first time. You get what you pay for and Affordable delivers!

I sent an email to set up an appointment on Saturday. I was called back & scheduled for 8-10 Sunday morning. So far, so good. No one showed up or call by ten, I called them and they said they were trying to get in touch with me but didn't have any good contact information (really?) Their excuse why no one showed up was bc the technician they scheduled couldn't get in a crawl space and the soonest they could get here was 4-6 pm! So we go from first to last, not pleased about that. Guess what⁉no one showed up by 6 pm either! About 8:15 pm someone left a message to the effect of yeah, we see you were on the schedule for service from 4-6 & I'm just checking to see if you still need us to fix your problem. WOW! No apology or mention how they completely screwed up our entire Sunday.

If you're thinking yes, this is what I was looking for, an affordable plumber, don't let the name fool you.  First call with plumber he indicated the riser pipe to the drain in my utility closet had broken loose from the floor drain and that was the reason for the leak into the lower unit. After explaining to him that the drain primarily service the condensation from the AC unit, I recommended he look at the drain itself to see if he could see this separation, as there should be no water coming from the condensation line anytime in recent months as it was too cold to run AC. He subsequently identified the slow leak from my hot water heater. Water was leaking between the drain and the floor, and so minimal it did not pool on floor.
So, $2160 later I have a new hot water heater. From a quick survey of to other plumbers in the area, approximately $600 over market price. (yes, all included permits and disposal of old unit)  In addition they refuse to break down invoice for parts, labor and permit.
NOT affordable, and perhaps not as competent as one would hope. Would NOT recommend

I work with a real estate agent who had clients in Colorado Springs who needed to repair their sewer line per this company's inspection.  We were told the work would be completed before the closing which was just about two weeks away.  They didn't start when they said they would, and they did not finish (or even repair the line before the closing date).  They tore up the driveway.  I can see how things happen but what added to the stress and frustration was the various messaging from Ben, the Project Manager, and the guys at the site.  The Friday before closing, the guys said the job could take up to two weeks more,  didn't know it was supposed to be done by a certain date, and that they didn't have the right equipment to expedite the job. Ben kept assuring us it would be done on time then only a day or two late. He kept citing weather as the reason for the delay, but that's not what the guys at the site were saying??  They told me they were going to work the weekend so I drove down from Denver, but then nobody came. In addition to the delay, they broke the water line which created a hardship for the folks in the house as they had no running water for about 2 days.  I would look elsewhere before using their plumbing service- especially if time is of the essence as it is in real estate transactions.

This was the first (of every future) calls to AP&H. After the winter, turning on the hose brought a waterfall to my basement. I found AP&H from yelp reviews and was impressed with people's comments. I called for an appointment and was handled by a knowledgable phone attendant who explained the visit cost and set an appointment foe the next week. Victor arrived with a pleasant demeanor, used house shoes, gave an explanation of the leak and options for repair. All was clear, up front and without mystery. He made the repair efficiently and even showed me the break in the old pipe with advice on how to avoid future breaks. I asked him to take a quick look at the other sprinkler/hose manifolds to see if I was all clear to turn on the water for summer. He identified a small fix i could handle with a Lowe's visit and another issue with an obviously broken ball joint, quoted a price but wasn't pushy about fixing it then. I went ahead and sprang for the ball joint fix with great appreciation as it was not something I was comfortable doing myself. Throughout the entire process the AP&H office and field agent were a pleasure to use. Recommend highly!

Worse company ever. Nothing but a scam. We had a minor backup in our basement and called them to snake the main drain to make sure there was not going to be another or bigger problem. First we were charged $460 for a basic snake service where they found nothing wrong and then we were told that we had bad sewer lines and it would be between $16,000 and $21,000 to fix. We decided to get a second opinion and I am very glad we did. We had a company come out and scope the lines and were told that there was a back up of toilet paper further down the line (that they somehow missed) but other than one small detail the lines were good. I will never call Affordable again and will make sure everyone I know does not either.

In arranging some landscaping, I was encouraged to have the exterior faucet connections looked at by a repair company.  Since I had a positive experience previously with Affordable Plumbing and Heat, I phoned that office and was pleased to obtain an appointment within the week!  Also a very kind and experienced plumber came to repair the faucets.  My only negative was the price - I was unprepared for a small item repair to cost several hundred $.  In the future I plan to ask for a ballpark price or minimum since the person I spoke with to make the appointment declined to give me any idea.  I was grateful that the trip fee was waived!

One star simply for the guys on site. DO NOT HIRE THESE SCAMMERS! From requesting two days off so I was home during the work and them not showing up, to leaking connections to them charging me for unperformed work and having their regional manager Jon-lise call me and being very rude. This whole experience was terrible!!!! Their invoice lacks verbiage. The breakout work to be done on the invoice is included in the price. One would believe, if the work was not done then a deduction of the price should be applied. No not to Jon-lise. She says that the invoice means if the work needs to be done not that it will be done. They didn't pull a permit, did not hydro-jet, or recamera after the work as stated in the invoice. Yet they say they can't deduct those charges from the overall bid! Please do not do work with these guys.

What a huge mistake I made even calling Affordable Plumbing!!!!! I had an outdoor faucet that was spewing water, and I was concerned. Not being a plumber, I anticipated that the faucet would need to be replaced. I was given a quote which included their extra money just to come to my door. I was curious to see what all the tech was going to do (he was very nice) and watched him in disbelief when he spent all of 10 minutes replacing a plastic piece that I later googled to see how much it was. I was charged $439.25 to replace a $19 part (which by the way is made in Colorado Springs). I checked to see how long he was there by watching my security cameras, and he was there for no more than 20 minutes!!!!! That comes out to $1092.75 per hour. I stewed on this for over a week and finally called to see if they would reduce this price because it was such a simple fix. WHICH I NOW KNOW!!!!! And did not get anywhere. They stand by their prices and do not have a problem charging such a high price to screw people over. BE AWARE OF THIS COMPANY! I even asked the guy why they called themselves Affordable Plumbing. His direct quote was Affordable Plumbing doesn't mean it is the cheapest. That was NOT affordable!!!!! I think they have no integrity at all. To screw over some customers to probably cover longer repairs is just plain dishonest and downright greedy! I will never call them again, and will post this to as many places as I can!!!!!

Absolutely appalled. Affordable Plumbing and heating? The 239 dollar invoice for a square inch of caulking that I could have done MYSELF says otherwise. Never received a phone call when the technician arrived at the house. No phone call during to describe what needed to be done. No phone call after he left. Problem wasn't fixed or apparently he couldn't be bothered to try to diagnose it because hey, it was Friday I guess. Cut a hole in my downstairs bottom closet and left pieces of wall all over the floor. Why? I have no idea because he never called me or alerted me that he would need to cut a hole in the wall! Home owners beware! Steer away from this company. Dealing with their AR department is going to be a headache.

Affordable plumbing and heating is so much higher priced (well over $600 more) than other companies. We are wanting a gas line ran to the backyard for a fire pit.  It was sketchy when the estimator came out. After he measured how much pipe I would need, he asked what my budget was for the project and how much I was paying my landscaper to do the project. He then proceeded to tell me that it would cost me about the same price as I was paying for that landscaper. None of that information should have mattered. Additionally, he said if we didn't have the landscaper trench the hold then it would be an addition $3000 for them to trench it!  I completely don't trust the quote. Make sure to get quotes from other companies to make the best decision for your project/needs.

We recently had a major furnace, a/c, and humidifier installation. We had a late start because the team was dispatched to the wrong home causing me to receive an email that our project had been completed when they hadn't even come by to start. So, with that the team started 2 hours late but were very apologetic and rushed to get started as soon as they arrived.

While the team was very polite and efficient there were 1 few item that we'd ask more mindfulness surrounding. Smoking. The job we had was significant and during the course of the work we at 1 point had 6 technicians in our home. Every single one of them reeked of cigarette smoke. While their myriad of smoke breaks were outside, the smell was so strong when they came into my home, I might as well had been standing out there with them. The kicker was when my mother in law found a cigarette on our kitchen floor. I get it, it just fell out of their pocket but having a 2 year old, I am grateful my mother in law found it, and not my child.

On the positive side, the first day the technicians didn't leave our home until 10 PM and when I asked them to please stay quiet so our daughter could get to bed, they were EXTREMELY respectful and quiet. I was very appreciative.

We would use these guys again but I would probably see if I could request non smoking techs in the future.

The reason Affordable received 4 stars rather than 5 was a scheduling issue at the main office. I had scheduled a call on Thursday, but somehow it ended up on the books on Friday. When I called to ask what had happened they did get someone out as soon as possible on the correct day.

The young man who turned up was Brandon.  He was knowledgeable, polite and efficient. My AC was up and running again in a few minutes and I had a clear understanding of what had happened to it.  Thanks, Brandon! I would have him come by to repair my HVAC anytime.

We recently decided to remove the bathtub from our master bathroom and install a walk in shower. After we completed the demolition, my husband and I looked at each other and realized we would need a plumber to move the valve and the drain. I called Affordable Plumbing and Heat right away because they recently installed our water heater.  Lance answered my call and he sent Troy out. He arrived at our house within 10 minutes and had the job done within 2 hours.  Lance also called us and gave my husband advice on how to do the shower pan liner. Thanks guys! Great experience and I love my new shower! Lori Phelan

Last November I needed my furnace tuned up. I usually use a different company but they couldn't fit me in until January. I scheduled with Affordable.  HVAC professional came out said I needed a new capacitor. No problem. It's a Trane and was 14 years old, never had an issue. Tech told me if we bought the Club Gold for $269, that would get me a discount and then my AC check would be covered come summer. Done.

2 weeks ago, tech comes out for AC check. Mind you, everything is running great. Tech comes in says I need $1200-1400  worth of work but because of the age of my unit, I should probably consider replacing the unit. Then he adds, well the furnace is pretty old too. So to save on labor costs, you really should do both. Well of course we did not do any of that it was running just fine. The tech never cleaned or serviced the AC unit. My husband called to complain that we never got the service we paid for. We were told a manager would call back. That never happened.

A week ago, AC goes out. Call a different company this time. Waited for a very hot week for a company with better reviews and recommendations to come out and for only $240 we are up and running.

Moral of the story, get a second opinion!

I have used Affordable many times and they are an amazing company. They have clean technicians who are very professional. They were able to diagnose my drain problem and offer a fair solution. Are they really affordable...I think so given the quality of customer service. I would recommend them to anyone.

Brandon did a great job with our humidifier repair and was very knowledgeable with all heating/AC and plumbing components. It was great that he was able to do the plumbing repair on the spot instead of needing to call out for parts or another qualified repairman. He can do it all. Definitely recommend!

I am from Colorado Springs, CO. when this review appeared it said I was from San Francisco, CA that is not true and I do not know why it said that. here is the review, from Colorado Springs, CO.

in the fall the pipes under my house backed up and affordable plumbing came out and told me that it had to be snaked out and that since the pipe was 16' down it would cost be $5200 instead of the $3000...something because pipes are usually only about 8' down and mine was 16'. so the first day they spent ALL DAY digging an enormous hole in my front yard. NO PIPE to be found, by the end of the day another person was sent to my house and using a new tool (what I was told by the man working the excavator was that the tool to find where my pipes were had not properly found the pipes and that it has been sent to repairs and a new one was being used right now to locate your pipes again...his exact words). this was the entire first day. Upon using the new tool to locate my pipes...it was found 2' over and 8' down!!!

what I want you to know is that they still charged me the $5200. I called and said that this was wrong and the only reason I was quoted the amount of $5200 because the pipe was 16' down. I said that it wasn't and that it was on Affordable Plumbing, not me. His voice got louder (as if I was stupid) and said yes, but we DID SPEND THE WHOLE DAY digging in your yard ! AND this was the OWNER who I finally got someone to put on the phone after numerous calls.
I told him...yes, but that was on your company, not me, your equipment malfunctioned. He yelled at me and told me that all the (whatever they are called) were brand new and did not malfunction! and then said that your mother had no problem paying it, and it was okay with her. WHAT??!! You are a crook, my mother is dying of cancer and you robbed her, you made a mistake and you want her to pay for it. He repeated that she was okay with it.

do not trust this company, ever! they are crooks and will say anything they want to, do anything they want to and bill you for it. they said that they would put my yard back the way it was....???!!! my grassy area is no longer. It is April now and no grass, there is grass on the rest of the yard. Crooks and criminal. Do not even entertain doing business with this business.

I will NEVER use this company NOR recommend them to anyone I know! We had them put in a new furnace last summer and when putting it in they tried to tell me I needed a whole new AC unit which was NOT true. When explaining that we had, had the AC unit less that 2 years the employee began to yell at me in my front yard, in front of all the neighbors, which I then went into the house to avoid a further confrontation, he followed me into the house continuing his rant. The AC unit was only 1 1/2 years old. All of a sudden when I call the manager and he comes out the AC is magically working just fine. We had also purchased their maintenance program for $200 at that time. They call this spring saying I needed to call them to set up an inspection per the agreement we had purchased. When I called them back she said I had already used the 2 inspections in May (last month), which I hadn't and in order for someone to come out and inspect our AC we would have to renew the maintenance agreement for another $200. Why would they call for me to set up an inspection if we supposedly had them come out 2 times in the same month (last month May), which they didn't. The list of complaints goes on and on with this company but I would have to type a book to list them all. This company seems to be ALLLL about the money and don't give a hoot about the costumer. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the two guys that put in the furnace were very nice and don't deserve to be part of this complaint. I wasn't going to leave a bad review but having just gotten off the phone with the service person in regards to the maintenance agreement, that was the last straw.

Affordable Plumbing has a not honored their warranty or website advertisements. They have failed to respond to multiple calls and e-mail for well over a month.

I purchased a complete home furnace and AC system and water heater from them and have hired them to do multiple plumbing jobs over the past 7 years. We even paid them to join their customer loyalty club that includes discounts on service.

On November 5th our furnace stopped working and I called them and made an appointment for the next day at 8:00am. The technician arrived late in the afternoon and said the motherboard for the furnace was bad and it was covered under warranty. When he came back with the part, he said the office was telling him it would be about $500 to replace it. We had freezing temperatures and it was late in the evening so I told him to go ahead and replace it, and I would contact the office because I was sure that was an error and we shouldn't pay anything for a warranty repair. I told him we were in the loyalty program and we were charged $454.50 which included a $75 diagnostic fee.

When I called to get the billing corrected, they told me that was the price they charge for the specialty labor for that repair. I told them I shouldn't have been charged that, & certainly not a diagnostic fee on top of a repair fee. They said they do charge the fee on top of any repair. I said I wanted to speak with a manager and was told he would call me back.

Several days passed before he called me. I explained I thought I was just charged the standard repair price for the control board as if it wasn't under warranty. I also told him their website says there is no diagnostic fee charged if a furnace repair service is done. He said he would check into it and call me back. He never called back.

Over the next week my wife and I both called multiple times and he still never called us back. I gave up on the their office and called the Denver location and asked to speak to the owner. I explained to the guy that answered what my problem was and who was supposed to call me back but hadn't. He told me that wasn't the manager and told me he would have the Colorado Springs Manager give me a call that day. I never got a call from him.

My wife called the company again and I ended up getting a voicemail from someone saying they would refund the price of the control board only and that the diagnostic fee is only taken away when a plumbing job is done, not furnace repair. Their website says it will.

Because we had made about 10 calls over three weeks at that point and still hadn't had a manager call, and I was given information that didn't match their website advertising, I gave up on calling to speak with them. I emailed through their website and said I wanted to speak with the owner. I told them their website IN FACT shows the diagnostic fee is waived with furnace repair. I have multiple screen shots of it on several places on their website saying EXACTLY Free Furnace or AC Diagnosis With Repair. I have received no response to the email.

My wife called them on December 4th and was told she would get a call back. I checked that day and the credit back for the control board had not been done, so I called Chase to dispute the charge. The Chase rep did a conference call with the Affordable and the lady told me my wife had called and said Jeff would be calling her back that afternoon. She also said she thought we would be refunded back everything except the $75 diagnostic charge. A week later Jeff has never called.

We were charged $454.50 for a warranty repair. They charged us for the diagnostic, the part, and the labor. No reasonable business would say a warranty equals no work without being charged a diagnostic fee, the parts cost, and the labor cost. That is simply NO WARRANTY! They have not returned our multiple phone calls or an e-mail in over five weeks. They didn't refund the price of the part yet either. They have done absolutely NOTHING to make it right.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

I am a senior citizen, that called the SO called AFFORDABLE plumbing and Heating to replace my garbage disposal.
When I first called them, I asked if there would be a problem if I purchased the disposal myself, they said no problem.
Anyway, the serviceman called his office to get the cost of replacing the disposal. I could not believe that they wanted $ 275.00 for about 40 minutes of work. Talk about price gouging, this is it. I still paid their $ 75.00 trip fee. I say about 40 minutes because this is about the time that it took the other plumber to install it for me at a cost of $ 100.00
I would not recommend Affordable Plumbing and Heating to anyone.

We came home to a pipe spewing hot water above the water heater. We called Affordable Plumbing & Heat and Cecil arrived within the hour. He immediately repaired the leak and showed us all the issues with this particular installation which he indicated would not have passed code & other significant problems that would cause problems.  We had them come back and install a correct heater & plumb lines correctly and to code...Cecil and Kenny were very meticulous and clean in what ended being a full 8 hour remediation project.
The work is now done to code safety standards and we could not be more pleased with Affordable Plumbing & Heat....they will be our plumbing and heating service!

We have had a journey trying to fix ground water coming up through the basement. I can't express how grateful we are for Affordable Plumbing and heat of Colorado Springs. In the spring of 2013, I had a new gas furnace installed (not by Affordable) which had some flakey performance when the temperature dropped.  The original installer came out twice but could not correct the problem.  This week, the furnace died.  Based on the reviews, I got Affordable to come out and troubleshoot.  It took three trips, but there were actually three separate problems (a failed gas valve, a misinstalled drain cup and an intermittently failing curcuit card) which they fixed under warranty.  Troubleshooting something with multiple failures is very difficult, so my hat is off to Victor, their technician, for staying with it and correcting all three.  It was also nice that Affordable didn't keep hitting me with additional labor charges.

I would highly recommend Affordable to others in my situation

Mike at Affordable was great.  He was very courteous, timely, and patient explaining things to me.  Another company sent out a tech, gave an estimate and then informed us that tech went on vacation and we would have to wait a week.  Huh? Only one person can do it?  Not an option for us as our hot water heater was already leaking!  Mike with Affordable came in, told me what it needed and came back the next day completing the job in less than 2 hours!  The only reason the rating is a 4 is it took some time and a few phone calls to the office to get the regional inspector here. Not sure if that was an issue in the office or at the county Regional Office.  But I would use Affordable again based on the work and my experience with Mike.

Pros
1. Made it out quickly for a non-emergency job.  Flexible when I had to reschedule.
2. Very friendly staff. Lady who answered the phone was informative and nice. Billy, the plumber, was professional and friendly. No hassle and thorough.
3. On time. Gave a 8-10am window, was here at 8:10am. Called 20 min prior to say he was on his way.

Cons
1.  Maybe a little more than anticipated. I know they have to make a profit, so I can't say anyone else would have been cheaper. I'd give 4.5 stars if allowed, but this was my only complaint.

We needed a new boiler this past winter and called Affordable.  The sales guy was nice and got us set up with financing.  From there it went downhill.  The system wouldn't work correctly after the installation.  I kid you not, it took over 25 visits to our house to get things right, with two failed inspections, and a lot of people who didn't know what they were doing.  They bled a line near my husband's Harley and ended up scratching the bike.  They swept so much stuff down our drain in the furnace room that the next time we tried to use that drain to drain the hot tub (which we had been doing for years), the drain stopped up and the basement flooded.  They denied damaging our home and the bike, and of course we couldn't prove it.  They insisted on full payment even though we insisted they cover our damages and time missed from work.  Well, they bought themselves a bunch of bad publicity from us.  We would recommend avoiding them at all costs.

My wife and I have used Affordable Plumbing and Heating twice and each time we have received fair pricing and great service. Jonas has been our plumber both times. He has done great work and has great personal interaction skills. He explains exactly what needs done and best and worst case scenario involving pricing and time to complete the work. Great plumber and great company.

We are currently working with Brahn from the same company who is providing us quotes for a new heater and air conditioning.  He also has been very professional and straight forward with accommodating our needs and not pressuring or up selling us. He and Jonas both either take their shoes off or wear shoe covers regardless of us telling them it's ok. As my wife and I finish our rental property we look forward to building a long term relationship with Affordable Plumbing and Heating as our go to service providers.

Quick service, probably a little under 30 minutes between when I called and when Steve had his eyes on the problem. Quick work, no fuss. It turned out to be solved by a simple snake cleaning. There was a service fee and considering the ease of the work I probably could have found someone cheaper. However I was amazed how quick it went. Probably around an hour after I called to make an appointment I was saying good bye and had a quick moving drain that was flowing in the correct direction.

Overall I'm happy with what I got and I would call them again if I had another problem.

Dustin came in and gave us a quote, then was our installer.  He was a professional the whole way through, and it was great having the guy who gave us a quote also be the guy who did the work.  Complex problem was fixed in 3 hours at a very reasonable cost; he explained everything before hand and the work matches exactly what he described.

Called about getting my ac unit serviced and the fans cleaned.  The first time I called, I was given a date and time by a technician for service.  He never showed, so I called  back and set up a second date.  This time they came out and serviced the ac unit and and cleaned the condenser coil.  Time on:2:14pm  Time off:3:19pm.  When they arrived, it took them about 5 mins to get to the door and 5 mins to get me my invoice.  Price: $232.10 with a $99 ac service special.  I wouldn't exactly call affordable $132 for cleaning a condenser coil.

Affordable? I think not. I was charged $150 for diagnosing a water heater problem. The tech couldn't find anything wrong, although the pilot light keeps going out and I STILL don't have hot water. Do yourself a favor and call someone else who can actually fix a problem.

This is a Colorado Springs review - I'm not sure why my location appears as Oregon, but I'm unable to change that.  I wouldn't use this company again if my life depended on it.  We have always previously had good luck with this company and have referred them many times, but that will not happen again after the shady situation we just had with them.
We had them come out to service our furnace and a/c.  The technician told us that we needed a new circuit board - cost $800+.  He tried multiple times to get it to fire and nothing happened - only the fan worked (supposedly).  Note that we never had an issue with the heater, but we trusted him.  We told him we have a home warranty, so we would call them.  He came back 10 minutes later and miraculously it was firing intermittently.  The home warranty tech came out and discovered NOTHING WRONG.  He tried for 30 minutes to get it to get it to fail with absolutely no luck.  We had to pay them $185 for nothing.  I think the Affordable tech was trying to make a little extra money and we won't give our money to a company like that.  The management wouldn't do anything about it.

Had a great experience with my water heater in my first review. But second experience not so much.
I got a new dishwasher and called them to install it. I asked for the same person who installed my water heater. But a new guy came to the door. He hooked up the water plugged it in and then just pushed it into the space -and did not secure it. So when I open the dishwasher, it tips and sometimes the bottom rack even comes out completely into the floor. I contacted Affordable Heating and asked if they were going to fix this - and crickets.

What an excellent couple of experiences we had with Bruce and Affordable Plumbing as a company. We had an emergency pipe burst in New Year's Day and they didn't charge us extra for the holiday. They're so responsive and they're actually able to track their plumbers to give us a good ETA. Bruce was an absolute pleasure to work with. So professional, so kind, and really knows what he's doing! We had to have him come back for a second project and he did another excellent job and gave us a great rate. They have coupons too and honor them to the fullest! They give you pricing upfront so we were never surprised with the invoice. Absolutely amazing. We will use Bruce for all of our plumbing needs!

I have used this company a couple times. Both for home inspection purposes. One, plumber told me the sewer line looked good, when it fact it did not and was riddled with roots and intrusion. They didn't even take the time to review the sewer scope video, because you could plainly see the sewer was in bad shape. They also chose not to use the better sewer scope because I didn't specifically ask for it. Where is the integrity in that? When someone purchases a sewer scoping, its almost a no brainer that the depth and length of line should be reported. I also requested a video, which I had to pretty much pry and pry to get. When I finally got it, it didn't even match what the plumber had reported to me.
The plumber quoted me $1600 for a hydro jet estimate. I called someone else and they quoted $260.  $1600??! That is insane.

I requested them to come out and check the line again. This time they charged me a traveling fee of $60. I refused to pay it AND I REFUSED the service because of this fee, and now I have a debt collector calling me for services not even rendered, almost 6 months after the fact.

We recently called affordable plumbing and heat to fix a leaky toilet.  We called on a Saturday - and they said that it would be an extra $75 to come on the weekend.  I was able to create a temporary fix and was able to wait until the week.  In fact, I just had them come today (Friday).  Victor was the plumber they sent, and immediately he made good impression with my wife as he carries a pair of indoor only shoes with him.  He quoted prices for different scenarios (fix the flapper, fix the flapper and fill valve, etc).  I told him what I wanted done - and he fixed it promptly for the price he quoted.  All in all, couldn't have asked for better service.  Thanks Victor, and thanks Affordable Plumbing & Heat!!!

I'd like to take this opportunity to offer Affordable an offer they can't refuse. I can work with your management staff to teach you how to actually communicate with customers in a timely manner, and with time and effort, your staff can learn the concepts of efficiency, follow through, and overall quality service. This will be a challenge, and the path will be long. However, take heart! When your service is already at rock bottom, there's nowhere to go but up! I honestly feel sorry for the good folks who work for Affordable and try to do the right thing. One of them even slipped us a competitor's business card and urged us to go in a different direction. We foolishly kept faith in the sinking ship that is Affordable. Lesson learned! But I believe in turning that frown upside down. Affordable, I can help you treat customers right, follow through on promised work, and avoid the pitfalls of threats, hanging up on your customers, and blaming everyone but yourselves for what must surely be low profits and angry mobs at your door. This review is a genuine offer to help a business that clearly needs support and guidance.

We needed estimates on extending a gas line and moving some water lines.
My initial appointment was scheduled in a 2-hr window, with a thirty minute call-ahead.   When the time window started I wondered how soon I'd receive a call-ahead.  After the first hour of waiting, I called them to confirm time.  They said a technician was still scheduled to show.  I called again 20 minutes later sine the clock was reaching the final hour and no call ahead.
Eventually I received a call explaining was at an emergency call and wouldn't be able to make it.  They didn't have the forethought or courtesy to call much much earlier to inform me of that.  Although I was upset,  I accepted a reschedule for the next day.  That appointment went well but the plumber needed another plumber's expertise to make the decision on moving water lines.
The next appointment was also scheduled with a 2hr window.   Again, after I entered the time window, I called to confirm time, day and location.    Was informed 'yes, plumber is scheduled to show up and you will receive a 30-minute call ahead.   I waited two hours.  No phone call, no plumber.
One full day later, still no phone call, explanation.  Nothing.
I know everyone is busy, but time is valuable and I recommend you search elsewhere for your plumbing needs.
This company wastes your time, is not dependable,  and lacks the customer service courtesy necessary for a good customer relationship.

Like many people who own a house I suddenly and unexpectedly found myself having to replace my hot water heater. With no warning it started spewing water everywhere. I called Affordable Heating and Plumbing and heating and their technician Manny Was over in just a few minutes! I Was amazed at their attention to detail and also getting same-day service especially since it was getting close to 6 PM on a workday. Manny did all the work in about two hours and even hauled away my old hot water heater. The staff on the phone were also very friendly and very customer orientated. I would recommend Affordable to anyone who has a plumbing problem.

I am a business owner and have used this company a few times before at my shop to fix my paint booth and that seemed to be OK a Lil expensive but they did the job.i had a plugged up sink at my shop and asked if they could fix and they came out and snaked it and couldn't get it then they used a high pressure water jet and still couldn't get it and the tech had told me that he was hitting concrete and it would have to dig up the bathroom and put new pipes in.then I had a sewage back up at my personal house and affordable plumbing came out and snaked it and told me they could not unclog it and the pipe was broken and they would have to tear up my driveway and dig the broken pipe up and replace it.at this point I called a second company out to see if they could fix it and they cleared the clog and said there was no busted pipe as they showed me with there camera and they stated that the affordable plumbing is trying to take advantage of me so I asked the same company to come out and take a look at my shops clogged sink the same one that affordable plumbing had said they had to dig it all up and the second plumbing company had it cleared and clog free in 15 monutes.i asked affordable plumbing to refund at least half my money because I'm 700$into them for poor work and I have spent well over 5000$ with them this year so I'm not some cheapskate trying to get a handout I just can't justify paying them for poor work and them trying to up sell me on things that were expensive and not needed and they made every excuse in the book why they could not refund me at least half of the 700$ I had invested in them for nothing.affordable plumbing are crooks and con artist and will take advantage of you and I'm second guessing the repairs that were made on my paint booths and I'm currently having someone else looking at it to see if they ripped me off on that as well.if your a business owner don't forget your commercial account with them they are expensive and will have you doing unnecessary repairs just to milk you so BEWARE Of THIS COMPANY they are frauds

AVOID THIS COMPANY!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND INSANE PRICING!! I was charged $600 dollars for 2 drain assemblies ($15 dollar part) 45 minutes of labor. I called 4 separate occasions to request a breakdown of the pricing to which they would always say, A manager will call you back. Of course, that has never happened. I will be spreading the word so no one has to deal with this headache.

I met these guys at the Home Show in February.  Caleb seemed very helpful at the time. He came to my house for an estimate to move some A/C lines at my home.  He came, said they could do the work and would email me an estimate.  I never heard back from him.  Thanks for wasting my time. I definitely would not use these guys for anything.
I ended up using Brothers Heating.  Much better experience.
