Your rude and arrogant behavior is the first reason people shouldn't do business with you. The only person that lied is you. Everything was properly done and working beautifully as a $20 snake from Lowes fixed a problem that a supposedly trained plumber couldn't. As for your quality work and my satisfied referrals....another falsehood as I have spent many hours patching walls where you carelessly sawed clear through to another Apartments walls, left a muddy mess ect. You don't need to respond to my comments and probably shouldn't have as your temperament shows through and verified my review of same.

J&L was great! I tried my hand at providing my lovely new wife a home cooked Valentine's Day meal and even offered to do the dishes! Dinner went great, cleanup got a bit difficult when my garbage disposal starting guzzling up water and refusing to accept any more refuse. After trying some amateur trap-cleaning and finding nothing I knew this would be out of my league. The next day I called J&L and they were out within an hour! The gentlemen (named started with a T, but I forgot what it was) showed up, assessed the situation, battled large unfortunately-planted sticker bushes, and was able to send a snake down 80 feet. Turns out the blockage wasn't something solid, but rather an accumulation of grease! He snaked for a solid while to try to help clear out as much as he could, but advised a high pressure water jet in the future if it starts to act up again. Price was VERY reasonable, and he even honored the $25 coupon they have on their website. Prompt, courteous, professional, thorough, clean, and affordable. This place has it all!

Jose & Troy provides excellent service. I needed snaking for the kitchen and laundry pipes and to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. Extremely disappointed with the level of communication and attention to detail.

Called out to inspect a leak. Upon first vist, they said they would need to talk to the boss to open up the wall and would contact us. After a week of not hearing back, we had to call them where they told us the issue was the caulking in the shower and this was the decision they came to on site.

They finally came back and ran tests to prove where the water was leaking. We never saw any water leak where the caulking supposedly was leaking when we tried to duplicate the results.

When I spoke to them an additional 3 days later, they sent us a video to prove this and the video did not show any water just a video of my bathroom.

Felt like they were giving us the run around and we had to chase them down for answers.

If you are not sure exactly sure where the leak is, do NOT hire them. You will end up doing more searching than they will.

Jose provided me with exceptional and professional service. He promptly called me back and was able to schedule an appointment for the same day. He quickly fixed my toilet and set an appointment for two days later for the more complex work. He offered suggestions, which I appreciated. He estimated 3-4 hours to complete the job but they were done in less than 2 hours. He also called to let me know he was on his way. Highly recommend Jose and his crew!

Great HONEST company to work with ....called them out to fix a few things at my moms house. not once did they try to sell us things she didnt need. only fixed what we asked them to fix and did it in a timely manner. it was so refreshing to not be pressured into you need a new toilet or blah blah which is what has happened with other well known plumbing services. I hired J&L Plumbing to remove and replace my homes old galvanized piping in the 1940s part of the home. The pricing was good and they are one of the few plumbers that will patch the drywall once the plumbing work is finished. The crew showed up ready to go the first day. They were quick with the work and went above and beyond fixing the weird plumbing routing from when the addition to the home was done. The crew was professional and explained the work they were completing. The second day was the permit inspection. The crew told me they didn't need to be here for the inspection but the inspector required someone to go under the house. J&L Plumbing rushed over to complete the inspection. Then stayed to complete the drywall patching. They did an excellent job and I would hire them again for more plumbing work.

Really disappointed. Our home warranty company called them and they came out. They didn't ask too many details about what was going on and then stormed off after they called the home warranty company to verify some things. So awkward and we were left with a sewage leak in the basement, a garbage disposal that doesn't work and non functioning toilets. No explanation for leaving, just stormed off. We are very easy people to work with and we would have done whatever was needed to be fixed. Not sure what the heck happened.

Troy did some outdoor natural gas plumbing work for us several years ago to a grill and gas fire pit appliance. Excellent work, very responsive, priced fairly.

After the recent rainy winter, the gas fire pit failed to light. Called Troy again and he came out within less than 24 hours to check my non-emergency issue. He arrived early, checked all the plumbing and pressure and set the issue right, no charge for a previous customer. A++

I originally contacted J&L Plumbing as a second bid for whole house plumbing. Week before Thanksgiving, my plumbing went completely out on me and needed someone to do the work right away. Troy came out and gave me a price that was extremely fair and could start the next day. Troy and his crew were professional, courteous, and extremely helpful. With all of the work I had them do, they moved quickly and took care of all of the permits. I have since used them to fix my outside plumbing to the mainline and they continued to impress me. I should have contacted them first so that I didn't waste my time with anyone else. I will only use Troy and his team for any of my future concerns.

Don't waste your time as this company is unreliable!
So, I have AHS home warranty and this is how I git referred to them. I wanted to avoid a first visit where they just look then leave so they can have a second visit after ordering parts. I told them the problem, sent a picture of the shower, even a video of how the shower leaks after a shower but it happens two to four hours later (like a lose spring in the valve or something as it loosens over time then starts leaking--the best way I can describe it but I dont really know why it leaks). I asked if I should do a video. They said no.

First appt- no show. Followed up said there must have been a mixup.

Second appt- shower was leaking, plumber, turned it on and then off, not leaking again. Said nothing wrong with it. Told them the issue. They said they have to witness leak. I told them you did when you first came.

Third appt- came on a Monday when I was scheduled on a Friday?!? Only found out as I was called prior to the appointments-leaking again. Guy did the same and turned off and on, shook shower head. He was aware of the case. The office guy said just as long a she witnesses leak when he first arrives, Im good as he already saw the video. The video--Did a thorough video where I had it on, turned it off, shook the shower head to loosen up water, waited a few minutes did a close up of how the shower doesnt leak anymore, set the ipad watching the shower, after three hours started leaking again, did a close up of shower head. Said will contact AHS to get authorization and order parts. Waiting. No answer. Called AHS, they said this company said nothing wrong. Contacted this company and told them who I was and they hung up on me. Called again as I do not see why they would hung up on me as I didn't do anything wrong to them and I am just following up, I was forwarded to a voicemail.

Wow! What awesome customer service.

Please do not waste my time next time. Really?!? I took time to video it and go through so many appointments. And now I'm being treated in such a way that is not even called for.

J&L Plumbing & Drain Provides wonderful service! They come on time. And they explain everything very clearly and in as much detail as necessary. They have dealt with my water heater, and with a variety of other plumbing issues, inside and outside of the house.
In September I called them about several plumbing issues, inside and outside. They came (on time) to look at the situation, to prepare a bid, and to put it on the schedule.But I was really anxious to have it done that day. So they rearranged their schedule to get it done that day (sent extra people out) but stayed with their original bid---no extra charge for turning their schedule upside down. Troy also alerted me to some things I needed to be really careful of, and explained why. I could go on for pages, including coming to relight a pilot light on my water heater at no charge, twice, but I will leave it here. Excellent people, very reasonable prices, and I can think of nothing to complain about!

I was so impressed with the quality of work that J & L Plumbing did with a rental that I have in the So. Sacramento area. Troy and Dave come out and they worked a miracle on an old home with plumbing issues. The price was very fair and they did a wonderful job in the bathroom and garage. They had to get to the plumbing in the bathtub by going behind the wall so the tile over the tub was not damaged. The plumbing and fixtures work and look great. Troy and his entire crew at J and L plumbing are an incredible plumbing service. We live in a home that was built in the 1960s with pipes that are definitely showing their wear and need for constant maintenance. With that said, Troy and his crew have been out a handful of times since we have owned our home for the past two years. He is professional with every service he has done for us from snaking out our kitchen and laundry pipe multiple times to replacing 10 ft of pipe under our house. Whenever our pipes act up we know exactly who to call and he will be out that day or within 24 hours. Troy and his crew go above and beyond the job and I highly recommend them!

We had recently done some DIY home repairs/improvements in the bathroom upstairs which led to some water leaking down through our ceiling leaving a damp and light brown stain. Had no idea what caused this large water leak so I got ahold of our home warranty company. They ended up sending out J&L Plumbing to check out our problem.

I believe David is who came out and he called me when he was a little closer, 30 mins away, showed up promptly and prepared. He even had booties on! This was nice because some people don't like shoes worn in their house and I found it very respectful too. David asked what and where the problem was, told him our situation, and he brought his ladder to check out our ceiling pulling the fire sprinkler cap off (this where the leak was near) to see what was causing the leak. Then we showed him our bathroom which he did a great and thorough job checking all areas that could be wet. He also ran our shower going back downstairs to see if he could catch any water leaking which he didn't.

After about 30 minutes of inspecting he figured what caused the leak and stain through the ceiling was our recent job with our caulking. How embarrassing! It was a huge relief to know we had no actual plumbing or fire suppression system issues. However, after this recent DIY job we pumped the breaks and just had my dad (who has experience) redo all our caulking! Lol.

David was extremely helpful, kind and a breeze to work with. If all of J&L's employees are like him I highly recommend getting all your plumbing work done through them! Thanks again!

I contacted Troy to have him come to my home for some water backup, he was very responsive and planned to help me out until I realized my landlord was dead set on one plumber. I felt terrible for wasting troys time, but felt I needed to let people know how awesome and responsive he is. He got back to me asap at the top of the morning and I would have gone this route had my landlord not chosen one for us.

I have a 90 year old home that had galvanized pipes running under the house in the basement. While I was able to get plumbers over for a quote, I never heard from them again.

They are extremely busy as most tradesmen are these days, but they made time to come and bid several
jobs.

They showed up with a crew and worked hard under the house so I was not out of water for more than a a few hours. Their crew is professional and some of the best tradesmen.

I have a complete new system throughout my home now with no issues and passing inspection with zero problems.

They are one of the best, they show up and they get the job done. No flakes here.

To say that David just installed a new sink today is like saying that Neil Armstrong just took a jaunt. He not only cut and riped out our terrible existing sink, a big job in and of itself, but he then ground the granite to fit our new CAST IRON sink, which he then SINGLE-HANDEDLY put in. And then he proceeded to install all new hardware, check for leaks, etc.

And then, just because he's an awesome dude, he pulled out our clothes dryer and figured out why we had a gas smell in the laundry room.

American Home Shield assigned Budget Rooter when both toilets, my shower and my tub flooded. After five days of calling AHS and Budget with no reply, AHS finally assigned J and L Plumbing. They called within an hour, arrived within three hours and an hour later call my plumbing was working. Our injector pump wasn't working properly, and we requested a service through our warranty company. The technician inspected the pump by filling the tank and allowing the pump to empty the tank and everything was working. He tried to convince me to get a new pump, but i told him That it is working and why should i change it. He wrote in his report that i have roots in the tank and i had the tank cleaned by another company about a months ago and he never pulled the pump out to inspected and i was watching him at all the time he was here. When i called his office to question about his report, he was RUDE and hanged up the phone. they are not honest, and the service was bad.

Troy from J&L came 4 times to resolve a faucet issue. He mailed in warranty information and personally contacted the co. when the wrong part was sent twice. Excellent service and promptness. I needed a plumber who would not be inclined to sell me anything i didn't need.Needed a simple repair on my bathtub water diverter and Jose fixed my issue for @ $100. In retrospect I noted that quotes from other plumbers included work I did not really need,which is shameful.

Our water heater went out in the middle of the week, it's not like there's ever a good time for this but this probably was the worst time. Every company that we were calling wasn't available until next week until we got ahold of J&L who came out THE VERY NEXT DAY ! First thing in the morning at the beginning of the time window, he even called when he was on his way. I know it seems like this is standard, but these days it really isn't. Good customer service as far and few between and David really knocked it out of the park. He was communicative responsive and got the job done in 20 minutes. Will definitely be recommending to all friends and family, thank you David ! I'll probably make it through the whole Adele album while I take a hot shower

Today is a great day. Wasn't able to wash clothes for 4 days that's tough with a 6 month old baby. Jose and Jorge unclogged my washer pipes. I love their professionalism and competency as they completed this assignment. I like how they explained the possible problems and what my options were during the process. I could tell Jose and Jorge enjoy what they do, they displayed great attitudes and you could tell they like challenges. I would call these guys the pros of pros. They deserve for their work. I would recommend J&L Plumbing & Drain to anyone who has drainage issues. I'm a satisfied customer that's for sure.

I must say that Jose and his team are amazing. They did a full house re-pipe and sewer replacement. they told us that the job would take 5-7 days. however they finished the job in 2.5 days. They were honest, clean, professional, respectful and did and amazing job. We will call this company for all of our plumbing needs. They went beyond what was expected of them. They even put shelf paper under my kitchen sink to make it look beautiful... there were no hidden fees the estimate was exactly what we paid. We got 6 estimates from different local plumbing companies and they were the best price. So the old saying buy cheap get cheap is not the case. Troy's accounting of events is very untrue. Wow Troy I guess you are dishonest on top of it. You NEVER tested the tub, NEVER ran the water much less for 5 minutes. Furthermore it was NOT leaking when you arrived. You were literally there for a few minutes looked up at the ceiling started tearing sheet rock away and said yeah its the drain and left, stating you had to come back because it was a TWO MAN JOB!.I called you the next morning to state that it was still leaking and at that time you offered to refund my money and I agreed. BTW when I called you the next day it had started leaking again because it had started raining and it was a roof leak! But if you had checked that out originally it would have saved everyone a lot of time and trouble. It's bad enough to not do your job well and to not do what you are paid to do but then you cannot even be honest about the events and have to make up a story. Pretty pitiful!! If you could have just admitted that you screwed up and made a mistake, however big, that would have gone a lot further. On another note Troy says he's the owner however the license for this company is under another name. I have NEVER spoken to that person. His name is also not on any business card or paper work. It seems that maybe Troy is using someone else's license number for his business and this person is just a phantom partner. Not sure.

I feel so insulted by J&L. We had them out to bid a job that was half finished. It was a simple copper line under the house. They bid $1800!!!! I had another licensed plumber come and finish the job in TWO hours for a few hundred dollars and it works perfectly. I'm not sure how they can justify their prices.

We just bought a house and had noticed a leak issue from our master shower. Dave from J & L plumbing came to our house to evaluate as a second opinion as the first company we had look at it didn't seem to do a thorough job in our opinion.

Dave did do a thorough job and determined it was not a shower pan problem (this is what the first company said) but actually the shower head piping behind the tile.

He noted there was a bad solder job made from prior installation, he repaired the shower head pipping, tested for effectiveness and was finished in a reasonable amount of time.

Dave has excellent workmanship, demeanor, was very friendly, highly knowledgeable, and professional. HIGHLY recommend for anyone and we will definitely be calling J & L for any future plumbing issues.

FYI the first company we had look at was Allright Mechanical; we will not use them for any repairs needed.

I had one heck of a job for J&L asking
for a quote for laying above and underground gas piping over 90 ft to a new swimming pool heater.
They were prompt right from the get go as Troy showed up even before the set time! He surveyed the work had me a proposal the next day and it was def less than two other companies . Also I had a great feeling about the whole process and the way he explained the work. The funny thing is I found them when I was behind one of their service trucks driving around in Folsom! Sure glad
my wife wrote down that number !

So went ahead with J&L they sent a crew of four over, again right on time and they got to work! Their foreman Jose was all over it and so were his crew ..all uniformed and masked up!

Not to write too much they did a phenomenal job digging those trenches and respecting our property at the same time. The inspectors approved their work right away so that was very reassuring !

I can't say enough how good these guys are and how precise work
It is laying gas lines like they did.

If ya need anything done in regards to plumbing and doing it right give these guys a call! A++

My water heater suddenly blew out and needed to be replaced. After reading the two previous reviews I called J&L plumbing and got an immediate response. The price was very fair and Jose And Troy went right to work installing the new heater. In just two hours they were done. I highly recommend this company to anyone who has a plumbing problem.

Troy was great. After contacting our warranty company, we got a phone call from them right away. He showed up during the time frame he said he would to evaluate our problem. He then returned later in the evening and fixed the job in about 15 minutes.

J&L were called out by my home warranty to fix a leaky water heater. They scheduled an appointment quickly and arrived right when they said they would. They found and fixed the issue with minimal fuss and made sure to show me exactly what had gone wrong. Quick, professional and even made sure to wear booties in the house and clean everything up nicely. I'll be calling them first for the next inevitable plumbing problem.
