We just had Anthony from Roto-Rooter come out to clear a nasty clog in our main sewer line that was backing up half our house.  He came within an hour, and had us cleared shortly thereafter.  He also ran a camera through our line so we had a better idea of what had caused the blockage, and made recommendations based on what he saw.  Very professional, nice to work with, and I thought the $260 price seemed reasonable enough for the work done, especially considering the amount of time we spent over the weekend trying to clear it on our own, and the 60-day guarantee that it includes.  I would definitely consider calling them again - although hopefully we won't have to!

You should be given a piece of poo for a rating. Your plumbing staff, Allen that's you, is rude. I called for help with a plumbing issue and what I got was some dude with an attitude and a over priced estimate.  Read your yelp reviews, do some quality control, and good luck.  I hope people think twice about using your service.

First time using your service, very quick response and very fast service. Matt from your Tucson location was very professional and very knowledgeable, outstanding job at a fair price. Would definitely use your service again and would highly recommend your services to my friends, Matt's examples definitely brings great credit to your company. Thanks from Tucson

Matt was professional and super friendly and calming. Showed up quick, thoroughly tested clogged drain after fix. Price was reasonable for service.

I cannot recommend Rotor Rooter strongly enough.  I had a major plumbing issue (deteriorated/collapsed pipes) in my home.  I opted to try a local plumbing company, which turned into two...halfway through the job I switched to Rotor Rooter because of how badly the first two plumbers were handling the job.  Rotor Rooter personnel were professional, prompt, and did a fabulous job with the containment of all the mess.  With the exception of the (very small) area of the floor that they had to cut through, there is no evidence that they were there.  This is in sharp contrast to the other companies, who left dirt everywhere, damaged walls, and did not bother covering up furniture despite assurances that they would.  Rotor rooter gave status every day on the job and sent a manager to inspect it and ensure we were happy on completion.

I will never call another plumber for anything.

We had a big leak in our line and within an hour of calling we received a response. Salvador, AJ and Missle spent a long day digging and repairing the pipe.  They didn't leave until the job was completed and it was dark by the time they left our house.  The best part of their service was their great attitude; they wanted us to be pleased with the job they did and although they were tired, they were determined to complete the work in one day. They were thorough and responsible.

We are a mobile home park, and HAVE to unclog sewers! Roto Rooter couldn't come out yesterday, made an appointment for this morning. At NOON we called, and at THAT time, we were informed they could not get out until this afternoon between 4 and 7.
At 6:30pm they called to delay AGAIN, for TOMORROW between 4 and 7pm!!!

Call me crazy, but, seriously???? You KNOW you are short staffed, and you make appointments?? And then WE have to call YOU to find out YOU are short staffed and behind and have NO CLUE how long a job will take?? Ok, we understand things happen that are unexpected and jobs might take longer than expected. BUT where is your professionalism? A professional company would have called US to let us know EARLY that they were delayed. A professional company would not have scheduled an appointment knowing they were backed up (there may be a pun there).
Regardless, we are compelled by the state and county to deal with these issues, and your patronizing apology is not accepted and not appreciated. Calling early enough to let us know the issues so we could have called someone else is professional. Yes, you don't get THAT money, but, look at the reality: you STILL DON'T GET THE MONEY AND YOU DON'T GET FUTURE MONEY!

Btw, Drain masters called and wanted to thank you for sending them the business.

Our rental home drain was plugged. Roto cleaned the drain on 12/14/21 along with the $425 charge. Prompt service, excessive cost, but job complete. On 2/16/22, drain was plugged again. Told the dispatcher and later the technician, that the drain was plugged, but I could only afford another clean if they were able to determine the cause of the plug. If not, I would go with a less expensive plumber. Both agreed they could and would determine the cause and provide pictures. Tenant called to inform me the drain had cleared prior to the plumber's arrival, but kept the appointment to find out cause.

Technician calls later and tells me he has cleared the line, but could not determine the cause and charges me $387. He would return the next day to scope the line which was included with the line clearing work. Five days later, no one has called, so I call them. Tech attempts to scope the line, but says there are too many turns in the line to go beyond 25 feet and without a clean out at the front of the house, is unable to look at most of the line. I asked Didn't you know there was no clean out prior to cleaning out the line?. Yes. Didn't you think it important to tell me you might not be able to scope the entire line? We usually can. If you had told me that at the beginning, I would have had another plumber just clean out the line for several hundred dollars less. No apology for not calling. No apology for not explaining scope limitations. Nothing.

Now I am disputing the last charge since the only reason I went with expensive Roto is to determine the cause, on which they didn't deliver.

Don't be a fool like me. Save your money and go with another plumber which is half the price. Good riddance Roto!

We had a water line leak outside the house. The Roto-Rooter technician came out to evaluate and give us an estimate. He stated that
1. The leak is located under the paved driveway.
2. Despite us mentioning that we thought it was a PVC line from previous digging, he insisted that we had a galvanized water line because both it started galvanized and ended galvanize, so it is galvanized.  (That were used in 50s and 60s, not in the later 80s).
Because it was galvanized and it is impossible to fix, he recommended new water line for the price almost $8000. Another plumbing company came out and recommended a little bit of shallow digging at the beginning of the line near the box to see what it is. They also said that the end of the line was made out of cooper. Sure enough, it turned out to be a PVC line. Moreover, the leak was not under the driveway, but pretty close to it on the border. The whole repair cost $350 instead of $8000. I will give him benefit of the doubt and will not claim that his misdiagnosis was intentional, just not experienced.
I was reluctant to post this review and decided to call them first to notify the manager about the misdiagnosis and leave negative feed back that their technician needs training. Left a message with Dave. They never called back!

Roto Rooter does not accept responsibility for damages they create within a job! I called them out to unclog a drain. In clearing the drain, they broke the drain pipe which created a $1500.00 major repair.  According to supervisor David Burnes, RR is not responsible for damages they create. Manager Joe Villereal said he would call me the next day for a quote of the repair of THEIR damages. I never heard back from him. I did at least (through some effort) finally receive a refund from RR for the work/damage. I would, however, not call on them again nor can I recommend their services.

Free consultations and friendly servicemen! Although the problem identified did not require the repair services of my plumber, I am very satisfied with the customer service that I did receive.. The consultation was very quick and he even suggested some appliance repair centers for me to call.. The best thing about this company is that they were able to get someone to my house the same day that I called! I was given a 2 hour window of arrival and someone arrived within that time frame.. All other plumbing companies weren't available until later in the week or next week so I'm very glad they were able to send someone out today.. If I ever have a plumbing issue in the future I will definitely be calling Roto-Rooter, they even call you after the service has been complete to ensure that everything went well.. A+ for customer service!

**3/15/11 Update**
I had to schedule another appointment with Roto-Rooter today to fix another problem in the house :( Our kitchen sink was clogged with garbage disposal junk so we had to call a plumber to clear that out for us so the water would drain. Juve, my repairman, came early in the morning and fixed it in no time at all! He even checked other areas of our house to see if everything was running smoothly.. Turns out we had to clear our main line with a snake too so we could avoid any future backups.. Since I was approving a second job he gave me half off on the kitchen job.. For $294 we got the kitchen sink cleared, the main line snaked, and one shower drain cleared (for free!).. Juve was very nice and I will continue to use their services as needed in the future..

I had two gentlemen come out by the names of Will and Aj to fix a problem and I had nothing but the utmost professional experience with them. They came in and did an excellent job and I would refer them to anyone with plumbing problems. Thanks again for such a great experience!

I just needed two sinks and a shower drain snaked.  I suspected they were trying to 'up-sell' me for more work (he asked to see my water heater!), so before they did anything I asked for an estimate.  After sitting in his van for 45 mins he came back with a three estimates totaling almost $2800 worth of work which included a new water heater which I DON'T NEED.   My regular plumber (Gonzalez Plumbing) came out and charged me $160 for clearing the drains AND fixes two hoses that were leaking outside.  I suspect some 5 star ratings shown here are fabricated.

Called to repair a faucet in my bathtub. Came and gave me an estimate of $1200. They charge by the job, not by the hour. Called another plumber and it was a two hour job. Saved over $1000.

Saturday 22,2020 Dave and his crew came out to my elderly mothers home to help fix a backed up sewer. My mother was given a flat rate quote and was told she would not be charged more no matter how long the job took as it is advertised on their website. The sewage snake line was immediately stuck down the sewage hole as Dave attempts to clear it. After several attempts to pull the snake out Dave attaches the snake line to his truck causing the snake line to break and my mothers pipes to potentially bust as dirt began to emerge after that last attempt. Dave gets a call packs up and advises my mother he will be back Monday. Dave and his crew are yet to return, no calls no nothing. My mother was potentially been exposed to sewage gas, hydrogen sulfide, methane, ammonia, carbon dioxide. Since then my mother has complained about burning of the eyes, itchiness, and shortness of breath. In addition to that my mother has not been able to use her own facilities to bath, or use the toilet. I called to speak to a manager and nobody has reached back out. Next call will be to my attorneys office! What a disappointment!!!!!

These guys were awesome!! I have had to call them out on two separate occasions recently and both were top notch guys. Joseph just helped me and actually walked me through the process. So not only did he help me out but he was very informative and knowledgeable, which made me a more educated person in the long run. Tremendous customer service on both occasions, I will recommend this company to everyone and they will be the only plumbing service I'll call in Tucson.

This company kept promising to come fix a problem that was scheduled the day before, for an 8 am appointment.  I called around 10am to remind them that this was an empty house and I had 3 sick family members at home.  I suggested cancelling  for a day or two so I could go home and be with them.  They INSISTED  that I was next.  I called back every hour or 2 all day long and it was always the same story.  My husband came home from work and the two of us kept changing houses.  We were about six streets from each other.  At 7 pm, Roto Rooter called to say they would need to reschedule for the next morning.  I said NO.  Then they called me by my Mother's name.  My Mother had been dead for about 5 years.  I guess what I have learned from this is Roto Rooter Hates Children?

A serviceman came to our house and without even looking at the plumbing gave an estimate of $1500. Was that for both faucets? How about for one? That would be $750. Then $398 because it take 1 1/2 hours plus parts. We sent him on his way.

Not only did the tech show up very late and caused a major delay, no explanation was offered.  Too, we then contacted Silverado plumbing, they responded immediately, and their price was approximately half the cost.  Shame on you Roto-Rooter for gauging your customer.  Silverado was GREAT, absolutely no problems, job done and we now have our water back on!

They came, charged $300 to cut a hole in my ceiling, and left. For three weeks we waited for a diagnosis and estimate only to discover: OOPS, they're incompetents who think we are idiots or illiterate, possibly both. After my husband pins them down to get an estimate, they tell us $3682 to fix something we've gotten 2 estimates under $2,000 for AND the estimate didn't include cleanup or replacement shower tile. They really tried it. Avoid them --especially Shawn--at all costs. They're incompetent crooks.

5 star service all the way! The customer service was excellent from the call to the tech. I had called the Sunny Plumber and was not happy with them at all. They charged me $80 to come to the house, hardly looked at my garbage disposal and tried to charge me $530 for a new one. Sal from Roto Rooter had my garbage disposal working in less than five minutes and he didn't charge me anything! I will definitely be calling him next time I need a plumber! Thank you for the great service and for saving your customers money.

Had service 2 months ago to clear main line from blockage. Guy told me that I needed replacement on line and gave me $3500 estimate. I only paid for clearing blockage that day. Positive I paid way too much. Then last week I had problems again with line. I used 88 Drain company. I haven't had a sewage line break like rotorooter guy said and I don't think he did a complete job on clearing blockage. My recommendation is to stay clear of this company.

We used Roto-Rooter in the past and had a very positive experience but that was before the pandemic.  Today the company employee presented to our home without any safety measures: no mask or gloves on when he was allowed entry to our home.  Because we were concerned about the lack of safety measures, we asked if he was vaccinated.  He replied that he was not vaccinated and furthermore that the media was reporting overstated hospital beds being occupied by COVID patients. We asked him to leave and I called the office to report that their employee was not following safety protocols. I felt I was complaining to someone who really didn't care about the safety of their customers and the call ended when I was advised that their company would not be able to service us any longer. No concerns on my part as I will not be calling them again.

I called Roto Rooter to come take a look at my slow-draining kitchen sink. The guy they sent out, whom I found out later was not even a plumber, listened to my explanation of the issue and glanced at my wall and under my sink before proposing his solution. He said for $200 he would snake my drain and that he was 100% positive this would fix the issue. Midway through the process of snaking the drain, he said he ran into a problem and that his cable was caught up in the extra bend in my pipe. He proceeded to then force the cable repeatedly into the pipe until eventually he was able to get through. What he didn't realize, until after he filled my walls with water, was that he actually broke THROUGH the pipe. He didn't charge me for the service but he left my kitchen drain pipe with a massive hole in it, my walls filled with water and eventually leaking through my concrete slab foundation. The company has ignored my attempts to get them here to fix this mistake they made. They ignored the Registrar of contractors when I requested an investigation, they also ignored the Better Business Bureau's attempt to help resolve the issue. However, when I called to have them come out to assess the damage and give me a repair estimate --they responded right away. They even followed up later to see if I was going to have them come out to fix my drain issue for a mere $2,000. I can only assume that what they did was intentional. They came out here thinking I was weak, and foolish enough to fall for their scam. That I would pay them to fix an issue THEY caused, because what choose do I have? WRONG. These people are frauds, save yourself the headache and call a licensed plumber.

We used this company twice during the last 2 years. First time we were very satisfied wherefore we called them again when the main line was completely backed up.

The complete lack of acknowledging our communications is unacceptable and will prevent us from ever using Roto Rooter again.

The job itself was done to our satisfaction at a very high price, but in the process our concrete drive way was severely scratched.

Since then no call back nor reply to the following email:
12/19/19

Attn Mr. David Burnes

I called your cell phone (.......8195) on December 4, 2019 and left a voice mail request for acall back which so  far I have not received.

I am referring to the job your company did on April 19 at our house.

Our issue is not with the execution of the job itself but with the way the backhoe operator
removed the debris from our concrete drive way.

At the time, I pointed out to the operator the scratches he left on the concrete when he was removing the debris from the concrete slabs.

I was told that they would disappear with time. My unfamiliarity with the subject matter prevented me from stopping the operation right then and there.

Today, 8 months later, the scratches have not disappeared, and, to the contrary, are as visible as at the beginning.

I request that you or any representative of your company come here and  take a look at the driveway and hopefully can make a meaningful suggestion as to  how to remedy this unsightly surface disfiguration.

You may reply to this email, or call me on my cell which is ....2687, or text back to the same number.
regards

Jacob came to do work on our sinks and drains today - we are absolutely happy with the service he provided as well as his customer service skills. We have absolutely nothing bad to say about our experience - we appreciate the great price, the great job he did , the communication , the amazing explaining he did as he performed his job and honestly he was straight up one of the nicest and most personable people ever. Drains are working amazing - they don't smell anymore , we will be using them for further more work as we were told they are in need of some further repair which we were not aware of. Also AJ the supervisor stopped by and he was super cool and was able to give us a quote and  explained to us all the financing behind it and we will be calling the soon to figure it all out with them - needless to say we are very very happy about it.

The service men from RR were timely and professional.  But the value for the service was highly unprofessional. We had a severe drainage issue and when the clog was discovered by RR in the alleyway more than 140 feet from our historic property, RR gave a bid for over $13000 to fix what was expected to be a collapsed drainage pipe.

Upon further investigation on my end, I learned that Pima County in most cases covers work even on private drainage pipes of it is located in an easement.  It took only 24 hours for Pima County to determine our job fell under this program and to bring a crew out to fix it for us. Thank you Pima County!!

Roto told us they would bring the County out only after they dug the 7' deep x 6x6 foot hole to see what was happening.  They never mentioned or suggested that what have the County take a look first.  The other frustration was when they came to clear our clog they quoted me $280 for 100 feet.  $3.50 for every foot beyond 100 feet and never mentioned a charge for camera analysis and location of the clog.  So in the end we had to pay almost $700 for their service, received a bid for 13K and was never informed that with their initial discovery we should have involved the County.

We were seriously stressed over the possibility of such an expense at this time, facing hospital bills from a recent severe health issue.  THIS was highly unprofessional and unethical.  If RR doesn't know the policies of their own county to help out their customers, then they don't deserve to be licensed plumbers.

Call and asked if they can work on solar water heater, they said yes, great they were supposed to be out between 3 and 5. Call them at 3 and yes they were still coming out, called at 4:30 and was told they don't have anyone that can work on solar. Would give them no stars if possible.

I can't speak more highly of AJ from Roto-Rooter.  He is smart, kind, polite, patient and reliable.  We had major major work done on our sewer system (i.e. floors jackhammered etc) and were pretty freaked out.  AJ reassured us, and let us know what was going on, each step of the way. He and his crew worked their butts off. He was upfront about all the costs and options. Since that first issue, now whenever we have a plumbing problem, or just need something simple like a faucet changed out, we call and ask for AJ. We know it will be done correctly, up to code, and we won't get ripped off.

Called them to provide an estimate to fix a leak.  They diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes and wrote me up an estimate for $717.  They were going to charge me $180 for the part and the balance was for labor.  I looked the part up online and it costs $30.

I called Drain Masters and they showed up and fixed the leak within an hour.  All told, $270.

Taking financial advantage of a 70 year old woman with a guest in her house.  I was ready to like the polite and clean technician who came out on a Friday for a clogged toilet. Almost 200 dollars for the clog ANDTHEN another 290 for a valve.  At the time I didn't realize I should have just replaced the toilet that day.  It flooded the next morning and they came out on Monday. It became clear that any further dollars into fixing this was uncalled for.  I am angry and disappointed that i was not given the option of shutting down the bathroom and replacing the toilet.  I have requested to speak with the local managers with no results.  Poor customer service from a national franchise.

The plumber took 20 minutes to repair the toilet and charged me $345. He broke the flusher handle so it hung loosely and said just hold it down longer. After he left, the toilet still would not flush human solid waste. He came back and said the line was clear; we needed a new toilet. When I called the office about the One Year Guarantee on their work, the manager said the plumber had come out twice and she had no proof that the toilet wasn't working. I had 3 witnesses of it not working and a video but they wouldn't come out again and wouldn't refund any part of my payment. A neighbor watched a You Tube video and fixed it himself.

Scheduled a simple sewer snake for 1pm.  No one showed so I called and was told an excuse and they said 1/2 hour away.  An hour later, received a call with another excuse and said it would be another 45 minutes. I said okay, an hour still no one showed, called and received another excuse and hence I cancelled. 3 different excuses from 2 different people is hard to believe. I understand mistakes can be made, but own them and solve the problem. Don't make someone wait around for 3 hours. BTW, excuses were couldn't find me on the schedule , plumber was running behind schedule and finally truck broke down.

I was driving down Swan and one of the lanes was closed so I started to slow to let a Roto Rooter truck into my lane but then he started to stop so I thought he must be turning so I start to speed up to average speed. Turns out he was just slowing down to flip me off in a pathetic way to say I wasn't giving him enough room to get in my lane... smh what kind of employees do these guys have. He was driving a truck with a license plate #C10054 if any corporate guys are willing to give repercussions to this kind of behavior.
