When the hot water heater in our rental home broke, I Googled plumbers Temecula (I live in Carlsbad) and Wells Plumbing came up.  The Yelp reviews sounded too good to be true, but I called them anyway.  Now I'm sure that every 5 star rating is fully deserved!  Dana was professional, honest, efficient and truly a pleasure to work with.  He was timely since he knew it was an emergency and totally took care of the water heater as well as another problem that we found later.  His prices were extremely fair and I had full confidence in his assessment and ability.  I would recommend him in a heartbeat to anyone living in the area.  Thanks, Dana, you were great!

Called this company for a quote and they offered more detailed work to replace and check every aspect of installing a new water heater for equal amounts or less than other quotes we received.  They showed up on time, installed the water heater, new vent, lines, proper pan and drain lines.  They did more than expected for less money.  They made us feel confident, very professional and thorough, checking all potential problems.  We would recommend this company without hesitation.  They were recommended to us by a friend who has dealt with them and we are very happy to have them on our list for any future repairs or problems.  They made sure everything was up to code.

Wells provided excellent service. Bob is so friendly and my husband and I really appreciated his attentiveness to our ac issues in the middle of the heatwave. We made an appointment and Andrew showed up at our house and he was awesome. He cleaned up our evaporator coil and gave me an honest evaluation of our ac unit, never up selling, which I really appreciated. Our ac is working like a charm. I highly recommend.

We are new to the area.  My older AC unit was having issues.  I had two other companies come out and say there was nothing to be done except replace the whole unit at a very high price.
I had Wells come out and the tech Magic (his name) methodically and quickly fixed my current system.  Then gave me some good advice on how to keep it running well.  
I then asked for a price to replace the system as I know that day is coming and their quote was well below the others I got.
I have found my AC and plumbing team!

Just an update to my last review. Called Dana on two separate occasions to fix some plumbing issues. The first was a kitchen faucet replacement. The second was a water heater replacement. Both experiences were exactly as the first. He was professional, on time, thorough, did great work and his price was the lowest of all the bids I received (I always price shop). On top of that, Dana himself is a super friendly, honest guy who won't try to up sell you on any services or products. When my water heater broke and flooded my garage, he was very accommodating to my schedule in working with all the other contractors in order get the new water heater installed as soon as possible.  It's always nice to have someone you can trust when it comes to doing work on your house. Thanks again Dana!

Called The Wells because I had made it as far as I could DIY on a shower cartridge replacement.  Had decided I need a professional.  Dana called me within 10 minutes of my message.  Told him what I had done and what I thought I needed to do to continue (Cut the shower handle of with my saws all which I wasn't sure was the answer) Dana told me that from what I told him he would be doing the same.  I told him if that was the answer I was going to continue doing the job myself.  He said no problem if I had any other questions to call him.  Long story short I was able to complete the job myself.  Dana didn't have to give me that advice.  He could have easily just set up an appointment and charged me to do it.  I will only call The Wells for future projects that I can't handle myself.

We had no hot water we tried to light the water heater several times. Called Wells and a nice young man names Mike came out and showed us the trick to getting it to light. We were not even charged a service fee. The next day we had no hot water again. Mike asked us how old our hot water heater was we were not sure he told us there was a possibility that it was still under warrenty. We could not find the paperwork but Mike went the extra step had us give him the serial number he did the research and found out that it was and told us all parts would be covered for the repair all we had to cover was the labor. He came out the following day to determine what needed to be repaired and discoveredt that there was nothing wrong with the water heater the problem was a mistake that another plumber from the company that we are having remodel our bathrooms had forgotten to take out the test valve and put in the permanent one causing the hot water to constantly mix with the cold water that's why we had not hot water upstairs or in the kitchen. He was very proffesional and the cost was reasonable. We highly recommend this company and will be calling them anytime we have any plumbing issues and will refer them to family and friends.

I contacted Wells and spoke to Coleen, she was the most helpful and professional person in this industry. My HVAC broke down, she explained a few options and mentioned the HERO program... we had Paul as our technician. He was very knowledgable and thorough. They gave us a very reasonable price on a new system and within a few days we had a new system installed and running (with Temecula heat we needed it quickly). Not only do we have a new system, now the upstairs actually gets cool and we can sleep better.

We also had a plumbing issue with the upstairs bath and once again Wells to the rescue. Dana was our technician for this and he also was thorough and fixed our problem quickly.

Through this process, Mr Wells himself (owner) called us a few times to make sure we were happy with the qualitly of the workmanship.

Thank you Wells team for all of your efforts. We will use you for our future home problems.

Technician Mike was great. Quick response came an hour after called.  Polite, courteous, professional. Clear understanding of every step, he fixed the water pressure problem and demonstrated that I didn't need to replace the faucet rather than just charging me for a faucet. But because I knew that my faucet was old, I asked him to replace it anyway.  He was done within 30 minutes. Price of faucet consistent with what I would have paid had I gone out and bought it on my own.  Very, very satisfied.  Will using their service again.

Amazing, professional, LEGIT (repeat, LEGIT), trustworthy and super friendly service. I gave The Wells a call due to the reviews on here, and the reviews they have been awarded are a definite insight on their service. I request an as soon as possible appointment for a broken AC, and Colleen was super easy to talk to and very much on top of things, she set me up for an appointment the next day. Perfect. 15 minutes later I received a call from Colleen, inquiring if I was available since she had a ready technician that happened to be close by, and she was happy to send him over.  I accepted, very friendly guy shows up within 10 minutes, and all is fixed, explained clearly and done within 30 minutes, max. Payment was swift, easy, and receipt emailed. The price was 1/4 of what other companies had initially quoted, and I got no fishy garbage about additional services or hidden charges. Give em a call if you need this work, they won't disappoint! Thank you guys keep up the great work!

These guys are great!  First they took the time to try and help us fix it ourselves (who does that?).  When we couldn't do it with their help, they scheduled a tech.  His name was Paul.  He was very communicative, and showed up on time (on a Saturday morning, no less), and was able to fix our problem quickly and at a very fair price.  You will not regret hiring this company for your air conditioning repair.

I called this morning because my heater has not been working since yesterday, and it happens to be really cold in my area right now. I was pleased that someone could come out the same day to try to fix it. I was told by the woman who booked the appointment that someone would be out in the afternoon, but no time frame was given. I received a call from Rene around 1pm saying he was running late, but would be at my house soon, and would call when on his way. He was here about an hour later, and did indeed call before hand to say he was about 15 minutes away. Rene arrived and introduced himself, shaking my hand (this is a big deal for me). He listened to my description of the problem and set about quickly to resolve it. Turns out the problem was an easy fix, no new parts needed to be ordered. I asked some questions about our AC, and Rene patiently answered them, even giving me some tips on maintenance things I can do myself. I was charged a fair amount for the service call and labor fee. I will use this company again because I appreciate the prompt response and the customer service was outstanding.

Can't review the service because it was never completed. Called to request someone to unclog our sink and was given an arrival window of noon-2pm (my child's naptime, ok fine for a day). Waited up with my fussy kid until 2:30 with no call/no show. Finally, at 3:30, the plumber arrived with an attitude when we declined service as we needed to finally put the baby down for his nap and he was over an hour late. Only call this company if you don't value your time because they sure won't.

They were on time and friendly enough, but charged me $225 to tell me my breaker switch for the AC unit was tripped.

Trust me, you can find a better priced service call charge and I agree with the other reviewer that mentioned price gouging.

I won't be using this company again.

Was referred to Dana by another plumber in the area who couldn't get to my project but highly recommended Wells Plumbing.  Dana got back to me right away, arrived on time for our scheduled appointment and worked hard to solve the mystery of why my water filter wasn't working properly.  Quickly and efficiently changed my water pressure regulator and then ended up not changing me for his hours of labor on the water filter itself - the hours of labor being through no fault of his but instead due to sketchy info from the filter company itself.  Dana had a great attitude throughout, despite the frustration of the situation, and was a pleasure to work with.  As a woman dealing with plumbing issues by myself during the day, it means a lot to me to know someone isn't going to try to take advantage of my lack of plumbing knowledge in order to make more of a profit off me.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Honest, affordable, trustworthy, and helpful.  They saved me from being ripped off by other companies that take advantage of women.

Quotes are free and he spent an hour trying to correctly diagnose our heater issue; whereas, another company took 5 min to misdiagnose the issue and tell me it would cost over $1000 to repair or $10k to replace.

Bob was great!  Younger guy who totally knew his stuff!  He gave me a fair, affordable quote to get my heater fixed.  He was a true professional!  On top of the great service, price, and workmanship--he even gave me some helpful tips the next time something breaks.  I am definitely calling them back the next time I need help!

THE BEST DEAL EVER! I received about 4 estimates and they all were trying to charge me in the 2-4 thousand to fix. One company even said it was unfixable and I needed a new unit. Bob from Wells company troubleshooted for a while then said I got some bad news...it's the motor so I held on tight for price but after the service visit and parts it only cost us $277 That was a sweet deal! Adding these guys to my phone book! They are a very honest small company, you don't find that anymore with times like these. On top of that they have awesome customer service! They worked around my schedule even if it was after hours. Love these guys!

I cannot say enough great things about this company.
After calling, wells was able to show up a day earlier than quoted due to an abnormal cold spell in Temecula. The young man came and diagnosed the same problem, found the leak and stated exactly we would need. When the quote came in it was significantly lower than every other quote we had received. They replaced the unit as soon as it came in and spent a good amount of time making sure everything was up to code!

The employees are extremely honest, accommodating and skilled... Not much more you can ask for.

They also recently went to my parents house to diagnose a broken air conditioner, only to find out it was a broken thermostat and didn't even charge them for the appointment. If you need any work done I highly recommend this company.

When our AC stopped working on a hot day, my wife put out a call on FB for a good AC guy.  Within seconds a friend told us about Bob @ Wells Co.  We got right through to him by phone as he was leaving his last job and arrived 15 min later.  53 min after FB post, Bob had replaced a capacitor and our house began to cool again.  Price was very fair too.  I've plugged these guys into my speed dial.  Very pleased with their work.

These guys are fantastic. We've had Dana come in for some plumbing issues and Bob and his crew came in to install a new air conditioner and heater for us. The prices are fantastic and the quality can't be beat. They are hard working, thorough, friendly, and honest. They got to work usually same day or next day. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Dana is the most professional and honest plumber I  have ever had do work for me. Moved to Temecula 2 years ago, needed a plumber to straighten out a number of issues, then had him back several times since. Great work, fair pricing, and a real get it done attitude.

Dana came over to fix some connections for our water softener and he explained everything to me and told me what parts to order from Whirlpool. He was able to replace the parts and fix the leak in a lil over an hour. We now have a great trustworthy plumber!!

Saved me thousands!. Called Bob, but he was booked for a couple of days. Hired another company because they were able to see me sooner-Big Mistake. They told me I needed a new compressor. Called Bob about it and he said he could stop by the next day, but it had to be between 7-8am because he was booked all day. He checked it out and said it was only my capacitor (which the other company installed last year and was under warranty). He was almost as tickled as I was when he discovered it! He explained everything to me as he was checking it out and even apologized for others in his industry. He is the only person I will hire ever hire again until he retires,

EXCELLENT SERVICE! I googled and found Bob around 400PM...he was here 3 hrs later, figured out the problem, and fixed the problem. Great guy and was willing to explain everything to me; I appreciate that. Very reasonably priced compared to BRECKS...I will def use his services in the future. With Thanksgiving just around the corner I decided it was time to get the igniter replaced on stove. Used Yelp to find a repair shop and was very impressed with the reviews. You can not go wrong calling these people. Bob came out to get part number and it was replaced the very next day. Bob is one of those guys you hope would show up to your home. Not only did he sport a great smile but he knew his stuff. Within minutes he had my stove working again. He even helped me figure out my phone which wasn't ringing. Great service, great job and great price. I would call Wells first for any repairs.  I Am A Very Happy Customer

I'm a real estate agent and I needed someone in a hurry to give me an estimate on a heat pump problem on a home in escrow. I was told there would be no charge for the estimate. Somehow there was a miscommunication between the tech and the office and he did some testing, etc that I hadn't asked for. When he presented me with a bill I called the office and asked why I was being charged. We agreed that there had been a mis communication with the tech and Wells withdrew the charges even though they had done some work.

You can't ask for any business to be anymore honest than this!

I have to agree with all the positive reviews here. This is one company that people could really trust not to rip them off. Clayton was the one who serviced our AC. He did a very good job and the price he quoted was very reasonable. He was also good to our dog. We have been putting off the repair of our AC/heater for fear that we'll get ripped off. Now that we have experienced this honest company, I'm very confident that any time we need work done to our heater/AC and even plumbing (coz they do that too), I  won't hesitate to call them.

After having our local Heating and Air guy walk off our job because he under bid it and was in over his head on our job, we decided to look to Temecula for a reliable company. We had about 4 other companies give us a bid and my husband was impressed with Chris's knowledge and knew how to handle our situation. (1970's house) We had a new A/C, ducting and furnace installed. We also used their Plumbing division as well to move our propane pipes.  Dana and Justin were Great. Wells Heating and Air and Plumbing is Extremely professional, showed up on time, left the job clean. Colleen is a delight to deal with and her customer service is great! She follows up and is very professional. definitely give them a call, you won't be disappointed.

We had about 5 other AC people come give us quotes for a total replacement of the furnace and compressor. We just purchased the home and the AC system was completely trashed. Klayton was the only one that really insisted on inspecting the old system first to try to save us money. He never tried to up sell us on stupid options and simply gave his honest comments on what we asked. We ended up getting a UV light, variable speed fan, and thermostat upgrade in which all were competitively priced. If you are on a budget like we were on our first home and want the best bang for your buck service, you can't go wrong with these guys.

LOVE The WELLS!!!!!!! Bob and Dana are the best. I am a Manager of Jamba here in Temecula and they have been there for me everytime I call. They service all 3 stores. If you need anything they are there. They are a one stop shop from my A/C to Plumbing.

Professional. Knowledgeable. Courteous. Prompt. The Wells has customer service down to an art. The flurry of five-star reviews is no accident. We had a toilet that didn't work from the day we moved into our new home. Our home warranty referred us to a plumber based down in San Diego that had very poor reviews. We elected to circumvent the home warranty and go with The Wells. I'm incredibly glad we did.

I called The Wells late on a Friday afternoon, expecting that I wouldn't hear from them until Monday. They called back Friday night and we made an appointment for Monday morning. They gave us a two-hour window. Mike arrived at the front end of that two-hour window. Not only did he fix our toilet, he upgraded a couple of the worn-out components and then hooked up our new washing machine. He was a consummate professional and I can't say enough good things about The Wells. Other service companies could take a lesson from how The Wells runs their business.

Incidentally, as of this review, I have yet to hear back from the other plumbing company I contacted.

We will DEFINITELY be using The Wells again. It's too bad we can't give MORE THAN  five stars!!! Huge thumbs up! A+++++

UPDATE 11/26/2013 - The Wells came out today and installed our new dishwasher. As with our previous experience two weeks ago, the gentleman was a complete professional, the service was first-rate, and the price was very reasonable. In addition to installing our dishwasher (did I mention he also hauled it up from the garage as well?), the gentleman also hauled off our old water heater, which the previous home owner had thoughtfully left for us in the cellar.

We are VERY BIG on The Wells and can't recommend them highly enough. The service, experience, professionalism, communication, and pricing are all first-rate.

I will never do business with The Wells Company ever again! I had a leaking furnace, and called before they closed on 7-11-12 and left a voice mail to please call me back ASAP. I got impatient around 9:00 AM the following morning and called up and Bob answered. He told me he would be over between 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. I called at 3:30 PM to make sure he was coming as he hadn't arrived yet, and let me know he was running late and would be here at 4:30PM. He didn't show up until around 5:30PM.
Once here, he checked out where the leak was in my furnace, and noticed my air filter was clogged up. My bad for not replacing it sooner, but he assured me that that was the reason why it was leaking, and once I replaced it everything would be fine. He also told me if there were any leaks after that, to call him back and he would be over. So after he left, I went to Lowe's to get my replacement filter, and then came back home to pop it in. I let the AC run for 30 minutes, check the furnace, only to find the leaking is still there. I tried calling Bob right away, but went to voice mail once again. I figured I would wait until 7:00 AM today when they open to call so he could hopefully be over sooner. To my surprise though, when I called, I got hung up on not once, but TWICE! I called a third time, only to have my call ignored and went to voice mail. I left a message asking him to call me back right away because the furnace still had a leak. After an hour, I got tired of waiting and called another company over. Only had to wait 2 hours, instead of all day, and now I don't have any more leaks.
I don't recommend anyone call The Wells Company!

The thing that pisses me off more than anything, is that as a customer my calls were ignored, and so were my messages. It has now been 4 hours since I left a voice mail, and have yet to receive a call back. Not that I want them to though, since someone else already went above and beyond to repair my furnace.

My AC stopped working earlier today and they came out within 3 hours and basically my ac had just froze over and they did not try and sell me anything. No charge for the visit. Awesome.

This company is ridiculous. I spent hundreds with them on my AC and it wasn't repaired. I hired another company who fixed it immediately. I would NEVER use them again.

Dana was great!

My mother in law called around to a few places for a quote to get our hot water pressure fixed and install a pressure regulator per the home inspection that we got on our new home... Dana and Lisa showed up right on time and immediately noticed a leak near our water heater...

I authorized the repair over the phone and within a couple hours, both problems were fixed! I even stopped by during my lunch hour at work to see the progress and everything looked great. Dana explained everything he did before he left and I couldn't be happier with the work and that we now have properly working hot water!

If I ever run into any HVAC issues as well, I'll definitely give them another shot.

I called The Wells Company based on their on-line reviews because my AC was not working.  I was a little leery because I know sometimes reviews can be made up. However, I quickly found out firsthand how ethical and legit The Wells Company is! Upon contacting Bob, he sent out one of his guys to troubleshoot my AC and fix it. The guy fixed it immediately for a very small charge and got my AC working again. Unfortunately, later that afternoon I started having problems again. I was leaving for the evening, so Bob said he would come by first thing in the morning.   Bob showed up first thing and apologized for my trouble. He then spent several hours troubleshooting, replaced three parts and got my AC working.   He then left but said he would be back later on that day to make sure it was still working.   He came back at the time he said he would to double check and everything was still running fine.  Then he didn't even bill me for the parts or the labor! I couldn't believe that he spent that many hours and bought parts with his own money and then didn't charge me.   I'm still floored (3 days later) and telling everyone I know to use The Wells Company! I will without a shadow of a doubt use them anytime I have a need they can fix.   Thanks Bob for going above and beyond the call of duty you are a one of a kind company!!!

My heater was not working, so I called this company based on reviews.  The first time they came out, they wiggled a wire and it fired right up.  They didn't charge me, but told me if it continues most likely a part (they told me which part, I just can't remember the name of it) would have to be replaced, gave me a quote, and said they would appreciate the business if needed.  Very honest!  The problem continued, so I made another appointment a few weeks later.  They came out and replaced the part as quoted.  I highly recommend this company.

Dana is good at what he does and about as non-pretentious as it gets.  He arrived on time and replaced two toilets for way less than the Big Box guy would have charged.  He has done a few pieces of other work for me and I am always satisfied.  Highly recommend.

I wanted to build an outdoor shower thinking it would be a simple DIY project. I started by trying to remove the hose bib off the back of our house, which my DIY mind did not realize was soldered, and I promptly twisted the copper pipe and hose bib about 45 degrees. Luckily it wasn't leaking but I did want to have a professional fix it. Glad I checked Yelp and found Dana - he came out right away, is super nice and courteous and we discussed the options. Not only did he replace the copper pipe and hose bib, he installed the shower and the project is done, is very cool, and was under the original quote. We'll definitely call Wells (Dana) for future plumbing needs. Maybe my next DIY project should involve something electrical....zap.

I'll tell you what.  If you want a professional service with ZERO headache ..  HIRE THIS COMPANY to provide your plumbing needs.  I had such AWESOME customer service over the phone and the technician that was sent to my home was SUPER nice and informative.  I called many places before I settled on this company and they all seemed so sleazy and not straight forward.  This company gave my prices over the phone and had a toilet installed THE VERY NEXT DAY.  Once they were finished I got a call from the office to ensure my 100% satisfaction.  They are a locally owned, family run company.  I really like that.  They seem to really understand the importance of good customer service.  I could not be happier with our new toilet.  Stuff just RUSHES down the drain and it stays clean.  No leaks and hardly and flushing sound.  Tank fills fast.  GREAT recommendation!  Thanks again The Wells and we'll be sure to use your company next time we have a need for plumbing.

I recently had this company repair my A/C unit.
My first quote from a different company was outrageous. I needed some welding done to repair a leak in the line which had allowed all the freon to leak out.  They also told me I needed 15 lbs of the R22 freon.
Then I called Wells and so glad I did. The diagnosis was the same, a leak, but the price was a third of previous quote. Guess what I only needed 7 lbs of freon.
Their service tech, Andrew, was great. Very honest. Explained everything so well.
I will definitely call them with any future needs.

We had a couple of shut off valves and their handles rusting through and decided that it was time to change them. Upon closer inspection I noticed that our pressure regulator was leaking. It was time to call Dana at Wells. He was able to come out the next day and re plumbed the whole mess, added an other shut off valve and inspected the rest of the system. He went above and beyond. Very clean work too.

I also choose The Wells because of their reviews on yelp. I was not disappointed. Another HVAC company had quoted me $1500 to fix our system. He left the vent off our system unbeknownst to me.  I think because it was to make me call them back to fix it. What a snake.
On the other hand, The Wells technician was on time, fixed what the other guy messed up, super nice, efficient, didn't try to sell me something I didn't need, educated me on maintenance of the system and I only paid less than $200 for a new thermostat and every thing works great. We are thrilled. Seriously, don't try anyone else. These folks are rock stars in my book. Very pleased. I will be calling The Wells for all my HVAC & plumbing needs and telling all my friends about them.

Serious the BEST COMPANY EVER!  They are so honest to the point where they won't try to make money off of you unless you need their help.  Spoke to BOB today and he told me to check online first on how to do little things and if I need help, call them back.

And when I needed them last year, they came and took care of the mistake other contract left... (capacitor issue but they installed wrong one, causing fan to fail)  The came & fixed it and gave me discount because they knew I was being scammed by the other guy...

Bob (owner) is wonderful. I called him today after receiving a quote from another HVAC Contractor who told us that we need our entire system replaced. I needed some insight from someone with experience, and I found it in Bob!
He listened to the quote we received and asked questions and then explained his thoughts and ideas. He gave estimates over the phone, which was very helpful. He was completely no pressure, and it was clear right away that he absolutely knows his business.
We haven't decided which way we will move forward yet, but we were just so thrilled with his honesty and customer care that I knew I needed to write a review!

I have used these guys three times for both plumbing and AC issues. The first time our AC went out and a different company told me I needed a new AC unit ($2500). Wells came out and fixed the capacitor for about $100. The second time was for a major plumbing issue. Once again, great service. Today, AC Stopped working. Wells came out and got it running, but didn't charge me because they didn't have to fix anything. Great customer service, which will keep me coming back.

I choose to go with Wells Plumbing based on the reviews from other members on yelp. I prefer to hire owner/operator family based business' to do work around my house. I called for plumbing assistance on a Tuesday and received service by Thursday by Dana. Dana was professional, explained the job as he was working, and was on time. The last honest company left.

Our AC quit during a bad heat wave and we were expecting out of town guests the next day for a whole week so we could not be without air conditioning. We called around, got some estimates since I knew from past experience it was the condenser motor fan, that's exactly what I asked for but as always we got the usual BS from the competition claiming the entire unit was shot and we needed a new efficient one.

I was ready to order the fan and replace it myself till we found all the great reviews from The Wells so out of desperation we called them and spoke to Bob the owner, he stopped by and agreed only the condenser fan was shot and could get one right away, he replaced it cheaper at only $245 with labor than I could have since the fan alone for me was over $300 at the parts suppliers and two days to get. Our guests arrived just as the job was completed and the pressure was over.

Bob admitted with such a bad economy, he is not about to charge for something we didn't need, giving us time to replace the entire AC at our leisure and not being held hostage by unscrupulous sales pitches from all the other competitors trying to sell us a new one knowing we were desperate to get ours fixed. Bob is truly the last honest AC service left, we would not trust anyone else, neither should you.

I had an emergency repair in my condo that is located in Murrieta. The garbage disposal housing had cracked and serious flooding had begun below my kitchen sink. Dana came out within hours -- on a holiday. Helped me clean up the water mess under the sink, replaced the broken disposal and added improved drainage piping. He also observed that the main drainage pipe was not sloped downhill, so he corrected that. He also found a small leak on one of the water supply lines and replaced that for no service charge.
In other words I truly felt like Dana did these repairs with the care that one would do if they were working on their own home. The cost of these repairs was very reasonable.
The Wells will be my source for all future plumbing work.

So grateful that they came out on a holiday for us! We had originally gone through our warranty company to get our a/c fixed (always a mistake...). What was originally diagnosed as needed a whole new a/c unit wound up only being a small fix. The tech was quick, kind, and, most importantly, he gave us a working unit again-- kind of a must in the middle of the summer when you're 40 weeks pregnant.

I don't know about their quality of service since except of waiting for days, I did not have a chance to see it. Going to find someone that want to work.

The drains behind our washing machines at my business overflowed yesterday and I called Wells Plumbing for help. Colleen quickly responded and said she'd get the message to Dana who called letting me know he'd be at my office within the hour. He snaked the line clearing the debris blocking the pipe and we were good to go. As a maid service, we are in need of our machines to avoid interruption of our services, and I appreciate Dana & The Wells' response to help keep us running.

I called for an estimate, they asked for photos, and gave me a great price. They showed up when they said they would, and were done in 1 1/2 hours! This included draining/removing the old tank, putting in new water heater & added an expansion tank.

Travis came out on a Sunday to fix my AC in the middle of the horrible heat spell we had in Temecula a few weeks ago. He was AWESOME, his professionalism and honesty will keep me calling The Wells Family if I need them. A minor repair and I was up and running again. Top notch HVAC & Plumbing. Wells Plumbing Heating & Air has done a lot of work at my house at high quality, affordable, and on time. Whether it was installing a smart thermostat, changing air filters, performing routine maintenance on my central A/C system, replacing my water pressure regulator, unclogging drains, or even installing a water filtration system to replace my old softener, this company is the real deal. The problem we faced with our A/C unit was much more severe than what we had originally anticipated and we ended up needing to replace the compressor. We needed to repair it fast because it's a rental property. We handed this job to Bob and are very glad we did. He is very knowledgeable, professional and honest. Any texts or phone calls we sent Bob or Coleen, his wife, were always answered. It was so important for us to know that Bob was always willing to hear us out and help. Coleen was following up with our tenants to make sure A/C was working properly. She also sent a technician to recheck the entire A/C system after the repair was done and helped us with paperwork.  

Bottom line - The A/C repair was done very fast, the work is masterful, the service is very good and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend The Wells.

Thank you for your quick response time to our plumbing emergency! We had a small leak in our kitchen and needed it to be repaired, QUICK. Within a couple hours of calling, we had someone out checking on and fixing the problem. The issue was resolved quickly and well! Pricing was incredibly reasonable as well. I've worked in the home repair industry and I am incredibly picky about who comes to work on my home. When I attempted to go through our home warranty I immediately canceled the appointment due to who was going to come out and perform the service. My realtor said she would handle it (we're moving into our home this weekend) and I was so relieved when I found out she called Wells, because personally, that's who I was going to call anyway. I am going to be that guy. I first contacted the wells about a year ago for some heat pump problems I had been having. This included the returns blowing cold air when the system was defrosting, dust coming out of returns, and some trouble codes on the thermostat. I initially spoke with the owner and he said they would be out at a scheduled time (this was a while ago so I don't remember the scheduling details). The technician and the owner came out. I explained that my system is new and that I had a friend install it. Since my friend hooked me up I felt bad about calling for service calls. Anyway, I told the guys that I wanted them to completely check out the system along with solving the problems I listed above.

First, they said there was a ducting problem. Again, keep in mind that the entire system is new- ducting, condenser, thermostat, wiring, etc.

So they messed around for a few hours and then said they needed a custom ducting piece and that it would take a few days. I said ok and they came back and allegedly put this piece in. I say allegedly because this resolved nothing. I also climbed in the attic recently and took a look at what they did. The piece they installed was not sealed properly- supply ducting piece that connects to the blower unit was not the right fit. So they tried to tape the sheet metal to the metal blower unit, no screws. So I ended up taping it up myself and attaching some braces to keep it from coming apart. Horrible job. Side note: I had a broke foot and was not able to get up in the attic while they were completing this work.

Second problem: the cold air blowing in while condenser is defrosting. They said that this could be a gas exchange problem in the copper line between the co sensor and the blower unit. The tech said maybe there is water or air in the line. So they drained and refilled the coolant and added dye to check for leaks. No leaks and no issues resolved.

So after paying a couple bills and becoming more frustrated, I ended up calling goodman, which is the manufacturer of the system. They said that my unit needs heat strips added because the higher efficiency systems don't come with eat strips. I think they recommended 12-14k btu for a 5 ton system. I passed this information along to the wells who said they will order them right away. Heat strips arrive in the techs hands but they are 8k strips. I tell them again about what goodman said and they insisted that 8k is plenty big. Heat strips installed and paid for. A few days later when it got cold again what do you think happened? Yep, cold air coming out. I guess the tech didn't wire the strips in properly. So they come out and wire them so they turn on.

Long story short: the heat strips don't work very well at all; the system still blows dust in heat mode; the returns still blow in cold or barely warm air in defrost mode; and error codes continue to pop up.

This all adds up to a big hassle with zero issues resolved.

I called the owner a few months back when my foot healed so we could resolve all this. He said he would send someone out. Nobody ever showed. I called him and he said he made a scheduling error. I hung up and never called back.

I may be the exception here, but just remain skeptical and do your own research despite the rating. A true professional has the knowledge and experience to solve unique issues.

Based on the reviews I read on Yelp I called Wells to diagnose the problem with my air conditioner.  Bob was able to diagnose the problem quickly.  He had the replacement parts with him and the system was running perfectly in minimal time.  The final cost was right in line with what he had quoted me over the phone. I would highly recommend this company.

I agree wholeheartedly. From the initial phone conversation with Colleen to the visit from the technician, Chris, just a few hours later, I was treated with courtesy every step of the way.  
I was afraid the HVAC system would need to be replaced.
Chris was fast and  thorough. He diagnosed the problem, explained the needed repairs, gave me a detailed written estimate, and he had the AC up and running in no time - at no cost to me!
I am aware that it's a temporary fix and I am extremely grateful.
I will definitely call The Wells for complete repair and service when the time is right.

A tune up for $69 in 2013.  Less than a year, the upstair unit stop working. He did not even see the rusted capacitor and the dirty coils! Of course it stop working. The funny thing is I opened the record and found he wrote down working fine. It is totally waste of your money. Did not even do the basic maintenance, just pretend opening and looking at your unit.

We choose The Wells because of their excellent reviews and I was not disappointed! The pricing is reasonable, our plumber was friendly and on time (called to see if it would be ok if he could come by earlier) He fixed our clogged kitchen sink and gave me a few tips on how to prevent it from happening again. He cleaned up after himself and even though I told him we don't allow shoes in our home it was ok if he didn't but just to wipe his feet, he insisted that it was not a problem at all and took his shoes off anyway (very respectful) It can sometimes be awkward having a stranger in your home but I wasn't made to feel that way at all. Felt like having a family friend and would definitely use them again! Thanks so much for your help : )

Bob was great, when first I called him, he started to explain to me what to do myself to fix it, NEVER expected a free expert step by step advise for FREE over the phone. I couldnt fix it, well, I called back as I felt he showld be the one earning my business.
Sure enough I was very happy with the service, Job nicely Done, not expensive,
I guess its a family business, god bless them, as they do a good job.

I am not sure who I spoke to but the gentleman walked me through a few troubleshooting ideas and in no time my house was cooling again without any unecessary service call or fee. These people are great.  Set up an appointment in the morning for them to be there around noon.  Got a call from Chris the tech letting me know he was on the way.  HVAC unit was slightly low on R-22, which was corrected in short order. Showed up on time, fixed the problem on the first visit, and the charges seemed very fair.  I would definitely recommend them to other people.

This company provided excellent service.  Technician Paul spent a considerable amount of time troubleshooting our furnace a few days before a predicted coldsnap.  He gave me a reasonable estimate and I went ahead with the work, which was replacing a circuit board.  He ordered and installed the new unit but it didn't work!  Paul returned the next day with another unit.  The first one had been defective from the manufacturer!  I appreciate Paul's perseverance in solving my furnace woes.  He probably should have charged me for a couple extra hours, but he didn't.  He stuck to the original estimate.  Nearly all the Yelp reviews for The Wells are five stars.  I highly recommend The Wells for furnace maintenance and repair.

Was recommended to Wells by my ex-husband (good friend). He used Wells and they were able to fix his AC when every other company he had out said he would need a new AC.

I had them out to check the AC at my rental home. I knew there wasn't really a problem, but to satisfy my renters I had them check. Wells coordinated through my renters and were out in a jiffy. There was no problem with my AC said I could add freon and that was about it. The experience was so positive I recommended them to my Property Management Company.

I have always used The Wells Company for all of my AC and Plumbing needs.  Now I know why.  I had a split unit for my office/garage that could not be repaired because of Manufacture issues  the Mfctr. allowed me a great discount on a new unit for my trouble.  Wells sends out Chris and Andrew to install and get me going again.  They show up on time, are completely professional and work together like a fine oiled machine  They did their job efficiently and timely!  AND it was very reasonably priced for the scope of work they completed.  I recommend this company highly! I called yesterday and left a message thinking it was after 430pm I would not hear from anyone till the morning.  I get a call later from Colleen asking me about what the problem was with my air conditioning.  I explained the problem and said someone will be out there tomorrow afternoon.  Someone does show up in the afternoon a very friendly guy named Travis who was very well mannered when he came in looked the AC unit figured out the problem and worked on it right away!  Did not take him long to do that he explained everything to me and showed me how to open the panel to my AC unit.  It was a reasonable cost to me and the service of both Colleen and Travis was excellent.  I was very impressed by this company's staff.  I give them 5 star if not more!  I highly recommend them.   This is customer service at its finest.  With this heat and it being very uncomfortable this company was awesome.  Kudos!  to Wells!  Thank you for showing great customer service and being showing how great you all are!

I called The Wells Company based on Yelp reviews.

I called two other HVAC companies.  One kept me waiting for two days without at least calling and updating me on his arrival so I canceled (AM/PM-Joe) & the other rescheduled until after the Labor Day weekend, even though they called me the day before to confirm the appointment (Labor day weekend/car troubles...hmmmm!).  I understand there are variables in life.  I won't be to hard or unreasonable with them, but...

I then Yelped The Wells Co.  I spoke to Bob and we made an appointment for the next day.  He showed up at the appointed time (Sunday before Labor Day).  I explained I hadn't had my HVAC serviced in over six years.  There weren't any issues with the system, I just assumed it needed to be serviced.  He explained that the newer systems didn't need servicing like the older systems and that if it's working fine all I need to do is change the filters regularly.  He did however point out the issues I should look out for that would require professional attention.  He explained he could charge me for the service call/replace the filters, but If I wanted to save money, I could do it myself.  What do you think I did?

I greatly appreciate Bob's kindness and selflessness.  I even feel bad for wasting his time.  Sorry Bob and thank you.  I will definitely use The Wells Co. for my future HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing needs.

As a Real Estate Agent, I need things done quick, as in yesterday. When a buyer's home inspection came up with a bad HVAC unit, I needed an estimate fast. I called a couple of places but they all wanted to charge me $100-150 just to come out.
Seeing Wells five star rating with 60+ reviews on Yelp, I decided to call them.
Speaking with Colleen, who is very polite and highly knowledgeable, she informed me that they could come out and do an estimate for free.
It took less than 24 hours to get an emailed estimate in my inbox, that I'm now including in my buyer's request for repairs. Thanks Colleen and to the tech who got out to the property!
It's great to know that Wells works this hard and efficient for POTENTIAL customers, if this deal closes, Wells might be the guys we choose to do the work.

These guys are great!  AC decided to stop working during the current heat wave leaving our house at a very uncomfortable 92 degrees!   Same day service to diagnose and repair our system.  Paul was great and even said he would do whatever it takes to get our house cool for our 3 month old baby!   I will refer Wells to anyone in the valley.

Dana and the staff at Wells are the best! I have had Dana replace kitchen faucets, help with toilet issues, install water heaters, you name it! I have also used Wells to fix my heating issues during one of our coldest weeks ever! They got the job done as fast as possible for a very reasonable price! Wells is the only company I trust for my plumbing, air and heating needs! I'm even considering a water softening system, and will only have 1 company to call for that...Wells!

We have had several repairs and installations by Dana and Chris.  They were prompt, knowledgeable, have reasonable rates, and best of all nice people.  I would highly recommend them!

Bob, I want to thank your guys for being so wonderful.
Not only are they efficient, kind and trustworthy, but they did me a huge favor yesterday when it was discovered that I had need of an electrician.  Scott Johnson was here early this morning, as he said he would be, and is just as wonderful as Dana and Mike have been.  He charged a price I could afford, and since I have heretofore never had to handle such matters as plumbing or electricity I would not have known if he hadn't.

Please pass my compliments on.

I look forward to seeing you and the new swamp cooler, the latter of which turned out to be so much trouble.

Our a/c stopped blowing cool air on a Sunday afternoon during this recent 116° heatwave. We feared how long it may take to get service during this very busy time, as well as a possible multi-$1000 cost.

I left a message with The Wells hoping to hear back Monday morning. Much to my surprise, a very pleasant Coleen returned my call in a couple hours and an appt was scheduled for noon Monday.

Very friendly technician Andrew arrived early, calling ahead of time to let us know. He found the issue within minutes, clearly explaining the situation with the failed part and citing a very pleasant repair cost. Our a/c was functioning again within minutes of his working on it...less than 24 hours after my Sunday afternoon call. The cool air was an incredible relief, but not nearly as much as the very fast, friendly and economical service with The Wells!

Bob Wells answered my call at 9:30pm last night during the intense heatwave....he knew over the phone that it sounded like a capacitor and since everything was closed, he asked for the serial number of our AC unit and picked up the corresponding part first thing in the morning and fixed it in a snap! Plus, he was friendly and informative, which isn't that easy to find these days! I would highly recommend Bob... his prices, and services were fast and fair....we will use him for all our air, heat and plumbing needs from now on--Very impressed!!!

Called the Wells Co. based on the Yelp reviews:

HIghly recommend these guys for their honesty and fair prices.  Dana came in to install a shutoff valve on a gas line for our dryer and he had to make a small hole in the drywall.  He explained what needed to happen before doing anything and did it quickly and efficiently.

Later we had a water pressure regulator fail on us.  He came in to diagnose the situation and give us a quote.  This repair is covered by our home warranty which is unfortunately not allowing them to do the work on this, but he was honest and upfront and did not charge us for the time he put into the diagnosis.

Bob came in to do maintenance on our HVAC system, he came in to see what kind of filters we needed and purchased them, but when he climbed up to do the install he saw that the existing filters were fine and did not swap them just for the sake of swapping them.  We paid for the filters, but we'll just keep them for the next time they need to be changed.

For our experiences, Bob and Dana are skilled, honest and reasonably priced.
