William AKA “Billy” here, I’m the owner of the Total Plumbing Services & General Engineering. We are a family owned company, I work alongside my older brother, friends and family. I am a Berkeley High Alumni (Go Yellow Jackets!) class of 08. I enjoyed my time at BHS playing lacrosse and football. I enjoy spending time in Berkeley and at the local eats. We are in business to help others with our plumbing skills and solutions. We are not a full service & Repair company. We focus on drain cleaning, leak detection, trenchless and drain rehabilitation. Had to replace a kitchen faucet, and the TaskRabbit I had previously hired couldn't get the nut out (it had sunk into the wood underneath). He had a plan that sounded complicated and would have taken hours. I called these guys and they had same-day availability. The plumber Roberto came out, used his saw-cutter to cut the old faucet out from the top, and got the job done. Price was $325 for 1.5 hours of work. When you consider the commute time added to that, that is a very reasonable price. I'm happy with their service and would hire them again.

Billy and his team are HIGHLY professional, reliable, and thorough in their work. I needed a line installed to connect a water line to our fridge; it was fairly complicated as the line had to go from downstairs to upstairs. In the free estimate he provided options, and ultimately found a creative solution - better than expected. They're reasonably priced too! Definitely will be working with them again.

I highly recommend Total Plumbing Services based on my experience hiring them to do some plumbing work for me earlier this month. I'm remodeling my kitchen and I ran into an issue of the existing drain waste arm being too high for the new deeper sink that I installed. The waste arm was just barely low enough for the old sink we had, and with our new sink strainer baskets dropping 2-3 lower, the bottoms were now level with the waste arm and the dishwasher pump wasn't strong enough to drain the dishwasher effectively when connected with the new drain plumbing. We have an old house with old galvanized pipes, and cutting into the wall and installing a new tee lower down on the rusty stack felt a bit beyond my own DIY abilities. So I put out a request for quotes to several plumbers on Yelp who all had great reviews.

I ended up contacting 14 plumbers, and Billy stood out among them for his organization and attention to detail. He came out to check out my project a day after I submitted the request for quotes, wore a mask and shoe covers, and was thorough in assessing the scope of work and listening to what I had already done so he could suggest the best course of action for what I actually needed, not just what he could do. Not only was he extremely professional, but he was also personable and friendly throughout our communication. His quote ended up being the most reasonable of the 8 that I received, partly because he was willing to price out just the rough-in work itself and allow me to do the stuff I know how to do (move the sink out of the way beforehand, patch the drywall, reconnect the new waste arm to the sink drain pipes) in order to save on cost.

Billy came by to do the job a week later, as scheduled and clearly communicated. After he cut into the wall, he ran into an unexpected issue when he found that the vent pipe above the existing tee was corroded and leaking sewage air into the wall of the house. He wasn't sure at first how far the damaged old pipe would extend, but he communicated what he found clearly, along with what the potential solutions would be. He got my consent to do some more exploration outside of the original scope of work, and soon identified how much additional pipe would need to be replaced in order to correctly solve the issue. He made sure I gave the okay before he proceeded with replacing a significant amount of the corroded galvanized steel drain pipe with new ABS pipe in addition to lowering the sanitary tee. Even with the complication and having to run out to the store to grab a specific coupling part, Billy was done in less than 2 hours. He did a great job of cleaning up the area around the work site, and even honored his original quote for the final cost even though I was prepared to pay more for the additional work done. I reconnected the hookups to the sink drain after he was done, and everything is working great now. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Billy at Total Plumbing Services with any other plumbing needs.

I haven't seen the work yet, but this was a fix needed in a rental property. The toilet had a hairline crack causing it to leak and needed immediate replacement so the tenant could have a functioning toilet. We were able to talk to Total Plumbing and get them booked to resolve the issue, they did that in a 24hr turn around. Thanks so much for your speedy help! The automated scheduling reminders helped me communicate to the tenant when to be there!

Late on a Sunday night, we were suddenly without hot water, the water pressure dropped, and an odd buzzing noise occurred whenever we turned on the faucets. We called Total Plumbing Services on Monday morning, having found them via the internet, and they came out immediately. By two in the afternoon, we had a new water heater and trip relief valve installed, the buzzing diagnosed (air in water line) and cured, and general helpful advisement about other matters that had concerned us. Roberto was wonderful to work with. We highly recommend Total Plumbing Services, in Oakland.

Monday night I realized that I didn't have hot water and discovered my old water heater was leaking. I sent a bunch of quote requests through Yelp. The Owner William was very responsive and was able to secure the earliest time slot available among the other plumbers 9am to 10am. Roberto (plumber) was very Professional and Friendly. I figured since I had to replace the water heater, might as well go tankless. Roberto and his co-worker completed the installation from Storage Water Heater to Tankless Water in about 11-13 hours. (including sourcing the water heater and buying all the pipes and other required materials) He was very knowledgeable and explained what he needed to do, how it was going to be done, and why.  They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves and cleaned up the mess before finishing the job. I would recommend the company since they'll get the job done quickly and with great quality workmanship. I can't attest to the price I got, since currently there is a supply chain issue and everything just costs more.

If you are contemplating which plumbing company to call for help, GO WITH TOTAL!! The roots of the trees in front of our house was invading and clogging our sewage pipe for a couple days. We called in the morning, they came for the estimate in a couple hours, and service was completed the afternoon of the same day. Billy was genuine with his services, very professional and knowledgeable while being very friendly. Pricing was reasonable and I appreciate how the company keeps the cleaning process transparent to us and gave us advice on general maintenance.

Hired Total Plumbing to install a garbage disposal and fix a clogged drain that for the life of me I could not fix. Not only did they fix my issue but installed some new piping so that I can better snake the pipe myself in the future. The total for the work even came out on the low end of the estimate. Billy and Carlos solved a problem that may have persisted for years.  A leak in our sprinkler system beneath a tree and completely inacessible.  They rerouted copper piping (50 year warranty) and a 6 gallon per hour leak was eliminated. They worked really hard and completed the job in one day. Clean up was perfect.  They have decades of experience between them.  Thanks guys!

Had an issue with my sink and it wouldn't drain. Reached out to total plumbing and they showed up the very next day. Sink fixed in about 30mins and he told he a bunch of tips to prevent build up in the future. Would definitely reach out again no question. Worth every penny

We needed repairs and also sought re-piping of the entire house. Suggestions on our Nextdoor site led us to Total Plumbing Services (on MacArthur, in Oakland). Plumbers Roberto and Billy came to the house and performed stellar service. They were professional, efficient, patient with questions, easy to talk to, and they not only showed up on time--they gave gave text heads-ups as to when they'd be arriving. They stuck to the estimates. I was dreading the dirt and grit from the sheetrock tear-down that was required in two rooms (they upfront tell you that they don't repair this, so we needed to arrange this separately), but they actually cleaned this up each time, leaving no trace. I highly recommend TPS of Oakland.

Urgently needed a plumber to fix and replace a water heater in my unit due to a leak and came across Total Plumbing Service. I rarely post reviews but I am stepping out of my comfort zone to write this review for Total Plumbing Services. After various plumbing services came by to check out my home and never get back to me with an estimate (even though I would contact and hound them to do so), I was beginning to lose hope for a big job: re-piping my new hundred year-old Bay Area home. I was frustrated, but now I'm thankful those other plumbers flaked out because I found Total Plumbing Services. Billy and the crew were some of kindest, funniest, and honest people I've ever worked with. They were reliable, efficient, and diligent. It felt like family tbh. I cannot recommend them enough to everyone in the Bay. They really saved my family and didn't try to price gouge us or add on charges. I was so relieved to have met them and I will be calling them back for every and all of my plumbing needs. Do yourself a favor and call Total Plumbing Services. You will not regret it.

Also that response time and percentage is no Joke. They were THE most responsive and expedient plumbing service I contacted... and trust me I contacted a lot.

My air conditioning drain line needed to be unclogged. The clog was in an area of the pipe that went through the attic and behind a wall. My snake could not reach it, and that's when I knew it was probably best to call a plumber as I do not have confidence in my ability to cut through pipes in an attic, clean them, and seal them back together properly.

Total Plumbing called me and beat a quote I received from a different plumbing company. Then they came out and fixed my problem. They even stayed after the clog was fixed and helped me pour water down the drain so we could verify that the drain was completely unclogged. My air conditioner is working great now. Thank you Total for the great work, great price, and quick response.

Found out our washer hookup was rusted out the day our new washer was supposed to be installed. Called Total Plumbing Services and they came over same day to evaluate and fix. We had Total Plumbing come out and take a look at our house. We could not figure out how/where the leak was coming from. They evaluated our whole house, not just the area of the leak and found everything! He even showed us on the moisture device so we could better understand. I highly recommend this company. Carlos responded within 10 minutes and came to my house an hour later at night for an inspection of a leaking gas pipe, as our gas had been turned off by PG&E. He completed the repair the next day for a fair price. Very friendly and professional service. I recommend TPS highly.

I had a small gas leak in my house, which the gas company had to shut off the main line and would not turn back on until the leak was fixed. I reached out to Billy, who responded quickly, was very friendly and showed up same day. Billy and his team really came through for our family during an emergency.  The main water line to our house ruptured in between heavy rainstorms.  Billy quickly assessed the problem and worked with us to develop a solution that allowed us to stay in the house.  At the earliest opportunity he and his team replaced the line (not easy on our steep slope), and ensured that that all permits were in place before the trench was filled.   After the project was complete, we had a couple of follow up questions, and Billy was incredibly responsive each time.  Although under these emergency circumstances I was less concerned about the cost of the work, nevertheless the price of this extensive project was comparable to other quotes I received.  I could not be happier with the timely, high-quality work performed by Total Plumbing Services.

The waterline from the meter at the curb to our house sprung a major leak coming through the sidewalk.  TPS responded quickly, came out and gave an honest assessment and a very fair estimate. , so we went with them.  TPS, came out on a Sunday b/c we really needed the water back on. It was late on a weeknight, showers had been in use by my sons (as in these boys are the reason for droughts). The drains were all backing up. Of course this never happens at a convenient time and perhaps one member of our family went to a hotel nearby to use the bathroom. I digress. Suffice it to say, we were desperate. My former go-to plumber is super popular (another yelp review of mine and why I selfishly question doing yelp reviews on good people). I lined up a next day appt with a national company (with crap reviews). As some may know you can request services/bids through yelp and after not being able to reach a different company I decided to go this route. The cool thing is, you get bids from several companies. I immediately got a response from William, the owner. He was very kind, apologetic that he couldn't come that night, but willing to come early the next morning. Within minutes we had the details worked out. He showed up on time as promised, was very nice, quickly fixed the issue, and was affordable for showing up before most people wake up. I will definitely use this company again.

They responded extremely quickly and were willing to come to my house almost right away that evening in response to an emergency. They found the leak right away and stopped it. They returned first thing in the morning to replace the cracked irrigation valves and completed the repair. I definitely recommend them and I will call them again when needed.

Our four year old flushed a hair comb down the toilet on Saturday night. I wanted to get the resulting clog taken care of ASAP and reached out to numerous companies. William responded within the hour and booked us for the following afternoon, on a Sunday no less!

Not only did William manage to fix the clog quickly, he patiently explained the steps he took and the tools he used to save us money down the line when this all but inevitably happens again (because 4 year olds...). He genuinely wanted us to feel confident fixing or at least attempting to fix the issues that we reasonably can. I so appreciate this because as a homeowner, you want to have a set of basic skills to help in a pinch.

I got a DWP notice suspecting a leak because my water usage was unusually high. I looked at reviews and reached out to Total Plumbing. They responded right away with a next day inspection and found the source (an underground leak in the pipe leading to the street). They promptly fixed it that week, wrapping the new copper pipes and putting my lawn back together same day. Total plumbing service is excellent. I called yesterday evening for an emergency plumbing situation and before noon today my issue was fixed. Super fast, efficient, and thorough. We had Total Plumbing come out at to our  place earlier this week to install a new sewer line for our rv dump and new restroom that we are building for our pool house. He was very reasonable on his price and his work was excellent! It took a couple days to complete and the work area was cleaned up everyday after they finished. William and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with. We needed someone to replace an old gas line after a leak was found and our gas was shut off. He came out on short notice to provide an estimate which was very fair and honest. He got the work done right and quickly, understanding that we were in a rush to get our hot water back. William is knowledgeable and transparent, and explained his work throughout the process. The cherry on top - when PG&E came out to turn on our gas, their ridiculously incompetent technician couldn't restart our water heater and just bailed, telling me it was broken. I knew that wasn't true, and so texted William who graciously agreed to come out after hours that night to help bleed the line properly and get our hot water back up and running (so we could finally shower). One of my tenants had a clogged drain in their bathtub. The first one plumber I called didn't answer the phone or respond to the voicemail I left. The second one I called said they wouldn't be able to send anyone for several days. Total Plumbing sent someone out within half an hour and the drain was cleared out in no time. Excellent service.

They did a great job on re-piping the water lines on my duplex in Richmond!  Turnaround was very fast-2 days and they followed through with the City to get the permit signed off. There was a minimum of inconvenience to the tenants. Their price was vey fair and Billy Caceres was informative, responsive, and easy to work with!

William came out and replaced an ancient faucet and the plumbing in our upstairs tub. He also cleaned out the sewer lateral.

Whoever originally installed the tub had done a real Frankenstein job and it was a pretty complicated repair/replacement, lots of parts/pipes that no one uses or even makes anymore. After an assessment William worked really hard to track down all the necessary parts and kept us updated throughout the process.

It was an complicated fix but he did a great job for a fair price!

William was friendly, professional and just all-around on it! We're planning to hire this company again!

He spent a lot of time trying to thoroughly understand the leak detection problem (a generally hard problem), diagnose it, and then confirmed that everything was in order and didn't charge a penny. In addition, he investigated a faint smell of gas at the dryer, fixed it, and didn't charge for that either. This happened in this day and age.

Billy is the only person we will call for our plumbing needs as long as we live in the Bay Area! He's professional, fast, respectful, and stands behind his work. Fantastic service from this plumbing company. They managed to pull a root from my drain pipe. The root caused a ton of flooding in my backyard. I had my drains service a year ago from a different company and they did not find this incredibly huge root.

If you are contemplating which plumbing company to call for help, GO WITH TOTAL!! The roots of the trees in front of our house was invading and clogging our sewage pipe for a couple days. We called in the morning, they came for the estimate in a couple hours, and service was completed the afternoon of the same day. Billy was genuine with his services, very professional and knowledgeable while being very friendly. Pricing was reasonable and I appreciate how the company keeps the cleaning process transparent to us and gave us advice on general maintenance.

I contacted Total Plumbing regarding a broken kitchen pipe that must of been leaking for quite a while by the amount of water under my house. They sent out Billy for an estimate. I liked him right away. He was friendly and very professional. He gave me an estimate that I thought was very reasonable and so I agreed to have them fix it. It was late in the day so we we had Billy start the following morning. He showed up right on time the next day excited to start the job. It was a big job and was expecting it to take some time, but within an hour and a half the job was completed and my drain has never ran so good! Having your refrigerator's icemaker water line fail when you're 3,000 miles away, flooding your kitchen and requiring extensive insurance involvement, you really depend on folks being fast and helpful. That's Total Plumbing Supply.

After the flooring had been removed, I needed a pumber to diagnose the source of the leak. When I submitted a quote request through Yelp, Total Plumbing responded quickly and asked the right follow-up questions, and arranged a short time window for a technician to drop by that day. When Roberto showed up -- on time (!), with text messages and a call to tell me he was arriving (!!) -- he helped me reconnect the water line, then took video of the leak and explained exactly what was going on. Then he headed back to the office and wrote up exactly what I needed for insurance: a report on company letterhead detailing the issue, with accompanying photos and videos.

Even better: When he was packing up to leave and I asked him what I owed him for the visit, he just shook his head. I know it all fell under a free consultation, but Roberto could have easily have charged me an hour for writing the report -- but didn't. Shout out to Total Plumbing, and double extra-duty shout out to Roberto! No one ever *wants* to need a plumber, but the next time I do, I know exactly who I'm calling first.

We discovered a leak in our sewer pipe on Saturday, the day before a Mother's day gathering planned at our home. Total Plumbing was the only company out of all we contacted who would come out. The waterline from the meter at the curb to our house sprung a major leak coming through the sidewalk.  TPS responded quickly, came out and gave an honest assessment and a very fair estimate. , so we went with them.  TPS, came out on a Sunday b/c we really needed the water back on. I recently had the pleasure of meeting both Roberto and William/Billy under less than pleasurable circumstances. The drains in my 1925 triplex are a little worse for wear and clearly previous owners did nothing to maintain the system. They snaked a drain which then almost overflowed again for they offered the picote- essentially a d&c tool for old pipes that chews away the obstructions and sclerotic debris, rejuvenating the pipes and allowing shit and everything else to flow again.

They were very thoughtful and friendly and helped me think through the system and figure out a plan for acute care now to restore functionality as well as make a plan for yearly maintenance.

I was impressed by both their pricing and their flexibility in working with the situation and adapting the plan as we learned more about what we were dealing with. I'm putting them on my speed dial for household plumbing and gas lines maintenance moving forward!

We needed repairs and also sought re-piping of the entire house. Suggestions on our Nextdoor site led us to Total Plumbing Services (on MacArthur, in Oakland). Plumbers Roberto and Billy came to the house and performed stellar service. They were professional, efficient, patient with questions, easy to talk to, and they not only showed up on time--they gave gave text heads-ups as to when they'd be arriving. They stuck to the estimates. I was dreading the dirt and grit from the sheetrock tear-down that was required in two rooms (they upfront tell you that they don't repair this, so we needed to arrange this separately), but they actually cleaned this up each time, leaving no trace. I highly recommend TPS of Oakland.

Billy and Carlos solved a problem that may have persisted for years.  A leak in our sprinkler system beneath a tree and completely inacessible.  They rerouted copper piping (50 year warranty) and a 6 gallon per hour leak was eliminated. They worked really hard and completed the job in one day. Clean up was perfect.  They have decades of experience between them.  Thanks guys!

Carlos arrived on time and was great. He is clearly a very experienced and skilled craftsman. He explained everything he was doing and worked diligently to get the problem solved. Unfortunately, my drain will require repairing a root-infested pipe which is a more involved operation. Based on this first experience, I would gladly have them return to complete the more extensive repair.

This review is not for plumbing, per se, but business practices and ethics.
On Easter, we had a gross leak, and assumed due to placement that it was our kitchen pipes. No one from any shop could come out (it was a holiday on a weekend, so understandable).
They came on time (8am), ready to handle things. The gent took the time to *definitively* find the source of the leak. It turned out to be the roof, not our plumbing.
He showed us the imaging from the roof, down the wall, and on. He took his time, gave us suggestions for who to call, what to tell them, and why one specialist vs another.
I tried to pay him for his time, since he really spent awhile sorting this out. He politely declined payment.
I deeply appreciate their thoroughness and their ethics, and I think I've found a new plumber for my future projects.

Carlos responded within 10 minutes and came to my house an hour later at night for an inspection of a leaking gas pipe, as our gas had been turned off by PG&E. He completed the repair the next day for a fair price. Very friendly and professional service. I recommend TPS highly.

I rarely post reviews but I am stepping out of my comfort zone to write this review for Total Plumbing Services. After various plumbing services came by to check out my home and never get back to me with an estimate (even though I would contact and hound them to do so), I was beginning to lose hope for a big job: re-piping my new hundred year-old Bay Area home. I was frustrated, but now I'm thankful those other plumbers flaked out because I found Total Plumbing Services. Billy and the crew were some of kindest, funniest, and honest people I've ever worked with. They were reliable, efficient, and diligent. It felt like family tbh. I cannot recommend them enough to everyone in the Bay. They really saved my family and didn't try to price gouge us or add on charges. Roberto is amazing! I had a stove installation that did not go well due to the appliance company. I needed the stove connected to the gas line in a hurry and Roberto was to my home early and within 2 hours of my call. We also had a very old 1/2 inch line and he installed a new 3/4 line and a new valve. Everything looks and works great. I have Roberto on speed dial now for all of my plumbing needs!

If you give them a call, they're there within a couple of hours to fix pretty much any plumbing issue you can think of, leaking shower, toilet plumbing, clogged drains, and even re-running plumbing for a washer dryer.

They're also excellent for bigger projects and projects that require permits - they replaced an entire line in from the street, had to rip up and replace the sidewalk, and dealt with the permits and the inspections like absolute professionals.

You will have 0 regrets working with Total Plumbing!

Billy came out the same day I called, to investigate a leak that I thought was underground.  He was able to determine that there was no underground leak (thank goodness), and gave me some suggestions for tracking down the leak inside the house...of course leaving the door open to call back if I need to.  Always good to find someone who will tell you straight up that you don't need to spend any money :)

Billy was friendly, prompt and professional.  I will absolutely call again when I  need a plumber.

I needed a line installed to connect a water line to our fridge; it was fairly complicated as the line had to go from downstairs to upstairs. I asked for an estimate on repairs for my sewer line as another company had estimated two repairs total close to $10,000.
William, the business owner, also the one on the appointment and communication end, was very responsive. Carlos came to the appointment.
He performed the video viewing of the line. He listen to the water flushing coming from inside the house. He saw root invasion of the sewer line near the clean out area.
As I had already had anther company that did snaking and video inspection, Carlos thought it was an incomplete job they did. He pulled out about 10 roots! Their company will make sure the roots were cleared after the snaking.
He did not think I need the repairs that were suggested, I only need to do regular maintenance every 1-2 year with video viewing and snaking. They will monitor the roots invasion.
I appreciate that he waived the camera viewing fee as he was delayed by the previous job.
Their fees tend to be lower, with family business and lowered overhead.
Carlos' recommendation is a big relief for me.

William and his team are an absolute pleasure to work with. We needed someone to replace an old gas line after a leak was found and our gas was shut off. He came out on short notice to provide an estimate which was very fair and honest. He got the work done right and quickly, understanding that we were in a rush to get our hot water back. William is knowledgeable and transparent, and explained his work throughout the process. The cherry on top - when PG&E came out to turn on our gas, their ridiculously incompetent technician couldn't restart our water heater and just bailed, telling me it was broken. I knew that wasn't true, and so texted William who graciously agreed to come out after hours that night to help bleed the line properly and get our hot water back up and running (so we could finally shower). I highly recommend Total Plumbing Services based on my experience hiring them to do some plumbing work for me earlier this month. I'm remodeling my kitchen and I ran into an issue of the existing drain waste arm being too high for the new deeper sink that I installed. The waste arm was just barely low enough for the old sink we had, and with our new sink strainer baskets dropping 2-3 lower, the bottoms were now level with the waste arm and the dishwasher pump wasn't strong enough to drain the dishwasher effectively when connected with the new drain plumbing. We have an old house with old galvanized pipes, and cutting into the wall and installing a new tee lower down on the rusty stack felt a bit beyond my own DIY abilities. So I put out a request for quotes to several plumbers on Yelp who all had great reviews.

I ended up contacting 14 plumbers, and Billy stood out among them for his organization and attention to detail. He came out to check out my project a day after I submitted the request for quotes, wore a mask and shoe covers, and was thorough in assessing the scope of work and listening to what I had already done so he could suggest the best course of action for what I actually needed, not just what he could do. Not only was he extremely professional, but he was also personable and friendly throughout our communication. His quote ended up being the most reasonable of the 8 that I received, partly because he was willing to price out just the rough-in work itself and allow me to do the stuff I know how to do (move the sink out of the way beforehand, patch the drywall, reconnect the new waste arm to the sink drain pipes) in order to save on cost.

Billy came by to do the job a week later, as scheduled and clearly communicated. After he cut into the wall, he ran into an unexpected issue when he found that the vent pipe above the existing tee was corroded and leaking sewage air into the wall of the house. He wasn't sure at first how far the damaged old pipe would extend, but he communicated what he found clearly, along with what the potential solutions would be. He got my consent to do some more exploration outside of the original scope of work, and soon identified how much additional pipe would need to be replaced in order to correctly solve the issue. He made sure I gave the okay before he proceeded with replacing a significant amount of the corroded galvanized steel drain pipe with new ABS pipe in addition to lowering the sanitary tee. Even with the complication and having to run out to the store to grab a specific coupling part, Billy was done in less than 2 hours. He did a great job of cleaning up the area around the work site, and even honored his original quote for the final cost even though I was prepared to pay more for the additional work done. I reconnected the hookups to the sink drain after he was done, and everything is working great now. I wouldn't hesitate to reach out to Billy at Total Plumbing Services with any other plumbing needs.

He spent a lot of time trying to thoroughly understand the leak detection problem (a generally hard problem), diagnose it, and then confirmed that everything was in order and didn't charge a penny. In addition, he investigated a faint smell of gas at the dryer, fixed it, and didn't charge for that either. This happened in this day and age.

Late on a Sunday night, we were suddenly without hot water, the water pressure dropped, and an odd buzzing noise occurred whenever we turned on the faucets. We called Total Plumbing Services on Monday morning, having found them via the internet, and they came out immediately. By two in the afternoon, we had a new water heater and trip relief valve installed, the buzzing diagnosed (air in water line) and cured, and general helpful advisement about other matters that had concerned us. My air conditioning drain line needed to be unclogged. The clog was in an area of the pipe that went through the attic and behind a wall. My snake could not reach it, and that's when I knew it was probably best to call a plumber as I do not have confidence in my ability to cut through pipes in an attic, clean them, and seal them back together properly.

Total Plumbing called me and beat a quote I received from a different plumbing company. Then they came out and fixed my problem. They even stayed after the clog was fixed and helped me pour water down the drain so we could verify that the drain was completely unclogged. My air conditioner is working great now. We had Total Plumbing come out at to our  place earlier this week to install a new sewer line for our rv dump and new restroom that we are building for our pool house. He was very reasonable on his price and his work was excellent! It took a couple days to complete and the work area was cleaned up everyday after they finished. Total plumbing service is excellent. I called yesterday evening for an emergency plumbing situation and before noon today my issue was fixed. Super fast, efficient, and thorough. I got a DWP notice suspecting a leak because my water usage was unusually high. I looked at reviews and reached out to Total Plumbing. They responded right away with a next day inspection and found the source (an underground leak in the pipe leading to the street). They promptly fixed it that week, wrapping the new copper pipes and putting my lawn back together same day. Carlos arrived on time and was great. He is clearly a very experienced and skilled craftsman. He explained everything he was doing and worked diligently to get the problem solved. Unfortunately, my drain will require repairing a root-infested pipe which is a more involved operation. Based on this first experience, I would gladly have them return to complete the more extensive repair.

Had an issue with my sink and it wouldn't drain. Reached out to total plumbing and they showed up the very next day. Sink fixed in about 30mins and he told he a bunch of tips to prevent build up in the future. Would definitely reach out again no question. Worth every penny

I called Total Plumbing with a number of clogs & slow drains. The person I spoke to on the phone was knowledgeable and helpful and set me up just hours later (Saturday!), and Billy showed up right on time. They responded extremely quickly and were willing to come to my house almost right away that evening in response to an emergency. They found the leak right away and stopped it. Roberto is amazing! I had a stove installation that did not go well due to the appliance company. I needed the stove connected to the gas line in a hurry and Roberto was to my home early and within 2 hours of my call. We also had a very old 1/2 inch line and he installed a new 3/4 line and a new valve. Everything looks and works great. I have Roberto on speed dial now for all of my plumbing needs!

It was late on a weeknight, showers had been in use by my sons (as in these boys are the reason for droughts). The drains were all backing up. Of course this never happens at a convenient time and perhaps one member of our family went to a hotel nearby to use the bathroom. I digress. Suffice it to say, we were desperate. My former go-to plumber is super popular (another yelp review of mine and why I selfishly question doing yelp reviews on good people). I lined up a next day appt with a national company (with crap reviews). As some may know you can request services/bids through yelp and after not being able to reach a different company I decided to go this route. The cool thing is, you get bids from several companies. I immediately got a response from William, the owner. He was very kind, apologetic that he couldn't come that night, but willing to come early the next morning. Within minutes we had the details worked out. He showed up on time as promised, was very nice, quickly fixed the issue, and was affordable for showing up before most people wake up. I will definitely use this company again.

This review is not for plumbing, per se, but business practices and ethics.
On Easter, we had a gross leak, and assumed due to placement that it was our kitchen pipes. No one from any shop could come out (it was a holiday on a weekend, so understandable).
They came on time (8am), ready to handle things. The gent took the time to *definitively* find the source of the leak. It turned out to be the roof, not our plumbing.
He showed us the imaging from the roof, down the wall, and on. He took his time, gave us suggestions for who to call, what to tell them, and why one specialist vs another.
I tried to pay him for his time, since he really spent awhile sorting this out. He politely declined payment.
I deeply appreciate their thoroughness and their ethics, and I think I've found a new plumber for my future projects.

Having your refrigerator's icemaker water line fail when you're 3,000 miles away, flooding your kitchen and requiring extensive insurance involvement, you really depend on folks being fast and helpful. That's Total Plumbing Supply.

After the flooring had been removed, I needed a pumber to diagnose the source of the leak. When I submitted a quote request through Yelp, Total Plumbing responded quickly and asked the right follow-up questions, and arranged a short time window for a technician to drop by that day. When Roberto showed up -- on time (!), with text messages and a call to tell me he was arriving (!!) -- he helped me reconnect the water line, then took video of the leak and explained exactly what was going on. Then he headed back to the office and wrote up exactly what I needed for insurance: a report on company letterhead detailing the issue, with accompanying photos and videos.

Even better: When he was packing up to leave and I asked him what I owed him for the visit, he just shook his head. I know it all fell under a free consultation, but Roberto could have easily have charged me an hour for writing the report -- but didn't. Shout out to Total Plumbing, and double extra-duty shout out to Roberto! No one ever *wants* to need a plumber, but the next time I do, I know exactly who I'm calling first.

Total Plumbing helped me remove all of the mold from under kitchen sink. Fixed the leakage issue and water damage. All done with a high standard and quality. He also did some extra work beyond what he promised such as reset the garage door opener track for me. Billy came out the same day I called, to investigate a leak that I thought was underground.  He was able to determine that there was no underground leak (thank goodness), and gave me some suggestions for tracking down the leak inside the house...of course leaving the door open to call back if I need to.  Always good to find someone who will tell you straight up that you don't need to spend any money :)

Billy was friendly, prompt and professional.  I will absolutely call again when I  need a plumber.

Billy and his team really came through for our family during an emergency.  The main water line to our house ruptured in between heavy rainstorms.  Billy quickly assessed the problem and worked with us to develop a solution that allowed us to stay in the house.  At the earliest opportunity he and his team replaced the line (not easy on our steep slope), and ensured that that all permits were in place before the trench was filled.   After the project was complete, we had a couple of follow up questions, and Billy was incredibly responsive each time.  Although under these emergency circumstances I was less concerned about the cost of the work, nevertheless the price of this extensive project was comparable to other quotes I received.  I could not be happier with the timely, high-quality work performed by Total Plumbing Services.

I asked for an estimate on repairs for my sewer line as another company had estimated two repairs total close to $10,000.
William, the business owner, also the one on the appointment and communication end, was very responsive. Carlos came to the appointment.
He performed the video viewing of the line. He listen to the water flushing coming from inside the house. He saw root invasion of the sewer line near the clean out area.
As I had already had anther company that did snaking and video inspection, Carlos thought it was an incomplete job they did. He pulled out about 10 roots! Their company will make sure the roots were cleared after the snaking.
He did not think I need the repairs that were suggested, I only need to do regular maintenance every 1-2 year with video viewing and snaking. They will monitor the roots invasion.
I appreciate that he waived the camera viewing fee as he was delayed by the previous job.
Their fees tend to be lower, with family business and lowered overhead.
Carlos' recommendation is a big relief for me.

Our four year old flushed a hair comb down the toilet on Saturday night. I wanted to get the resulting clog taken care of ASAP and reached out to numerous companies. William responded within the hour and booked us for the following afternoon, on a Sunday no less!

Not only did William manage to fix the clog quickly, he patiently explained the steps he took and the tools he used to save us money down the line when this all but inevitably happens again (because 4 year olds...). He genuinely wanted us to feel confident fixing or at least attempting to fix the issues that we reasonably can. I so appreciate this because as a homeowner, you want to have a set of basic skills to help in a pinch.

Had to replace a kitchen faucet, and the TaskRabbit I had previously hired couldn't get the nut out (it had sunk into the wood underneath). He had a plan that sounded complicated and would have taken hours. I called these guys and they had same-day availability. The plumber Roberto came out, used his saw-cutter to cut the old faucet out from the top, and got the job done. Price was $325 for 1.5 hours of work. When you consider the commute time added to that, that is a very reasonable price. I'm happy with their service and would hire them again.

One of my tenants had a clogged drain in their bathtub. The first one plumber I called didn't answer the phone or respond to the voicemail I left.
