Antonio was fantastic. He initially tried to walk me thru trying to identify the problem more clearly. He gave me an appointment  and showed up early. While looking at the problem, he continously talked me thru the options and then did a great job fixing my problem.  I will have him back for any future  problem.

Jose is great.  When you call, if you don't talk directly to him, you leave a message.  And when you leave a message, he actually calls back promptly.  That alone should get him 5 stars.  

He shows up when he says he's going to show up.  If he needs to get more materials or tools, he tells you so that you know what's going on.  He's straight forward with his diagnosis of your problem and presents all possible causes and solutions.  

He works efficiently and thoroughly and completes the job even if its a multi day job.  He WILL return if he says he needs to to finish the job.  

He gives you a complete receipt including detailed notes of what the job entailed.  He is licensed and accepts all forms of payment.

Excellent service! My garbage disposal stopped working and appeared to have a leak, so I called several companies to get an estimate for having a new unit installed. I was given an estimate over the phone and The Pocket Plunger easily had the best rate.  Antonio, the owner of the company, even mentioned that he may be able to fix my old disposal without replacing it. I scheduled an appointment for a few hours later that day and Antonio arrived right on time, even a few minutes early. As it turns out my garbage disposal did need to be replaced, but he was able to finish the job in no time.  Professional, friendly, and reliable service! He wanted to charge me $350 to replace a bathroom sink faucet.  I did it myself instead.  Took about 20 minutes.

Antonio did an exceptional job helping unclog my sink after my son had dropped something down the drain. His fee was very reasonable for the work he did. He even took extra time to educate me and consult on another plumbing issue I have and did not charge me for this. I will definitely call him again!

He was very knowledgeable and fast. He explained what was the issue with my toilet and made sure it was working properly whole showing me how to fix it myself. Most importantly his charge was extremely reasonable.

Called him at 11:30 and he was at my door at 2:15 , well within the 2-3 PM window he gave me. He fixed the problem and suggested what could be done to avoid the problem. Very reasonably priced. I highly recommend him.

Outstanding Service! Our go to plumber for any future plumbing needs!

The request for Pocket Plunger service was for my home.   The first time I used his service was on rental property, which he performed a repair on garbage disposal.  The charge was $39.  At the time, I have not met him until my home had garbage disposal issue.  I was looking forward to meeting him for the first time.  I also hoped to have a good lasting relationship with this company for future repairs on the rental property and my home. The reason I chose him was his willingness to use text as the means of communication.   Not many plumbers are up to date with technology.  This was my favorite thing about him.  

On his first visit for an estimate, he took a look at my garbage disposal.  He said that it needs to be replaced.  The garbage disposal was crap.  I bought it from Costco two years ago.  He recommended Badger garbage disposal.  I offered that I will take care of the materials because I like to buy things on my reward credit card. He only takes cash or personal check.  So, he agreed to it, which it was a plus.  He offered $149 dollars for his labor to replace the disposal.  We negotiated it to $129 and scheduled another appointment for the repair.

I got the materials before the appointment. He showed up on time and was courteous. Unbeknownst to him, I bought power cord for the disposal because it was not included. I hid it and wanted to see how he responds to this issue.  You see, it's possible to remove the power cord from the broken disposal to install on the new one.  This doesn't apply to all cases, but its common.  He quickly pointed out that I needed the new  power cord., not even suggesting that the old dispoal's cord for the new disposal.  I asked him about using the old power cord.  He nodded.  Ummm... This says something about his character as a plumber.  I even helped him by installing the old cord to the new disposal without his request.

 He replaced the disposal and reconfigured the drain pipes.   On the last piece of drain pipe, the trap, it broke.  I didn't have the part for the trap.  He offered to close the deal by upping to $189 dollars if he goes to store to get the final part and install it.  I politely declined the deal.  I paid him $129 in cash, and then I went to the store to get the $5 part and installed it myself in under 2 minutes.  Then it worked perfectly.

In light of this situation, I decided that he does not have professional integrity for his plumbing business. I can imagine that it's easy to take advantage of people's ignorance on plumbing, which it seems to be his business model.

I wouldn't recommend Antonio for plumbing work.  We hired him for two plumbing jobs, and both times he struggled with technical aspects of the work.  During the first project, he went grossly over budget, and his pipe solution is much more crooked and fragile than it needs to be.  During the second project, he suggested an expensive and ridiculous solution, so we called another plumber for a second opinion.  The project turned out to be an inexpensive, straightforward fix.  I'm sad to write this review, because I really wanted to like his work because he seems like such a nice guy.

Also, we asked our local hardware store for a plumber recommendation when we were unhappy with his work, and they mentioned that they were familiar with his work and that they felt he didn't know enough to complete jobs efficiently and correctly.

Wow is all I can say!!! Our Kitchen sink was clogged and we tried to do everything possible on our own with no luck. We called several well advertised companies and received price quotes that were well into hundreds just to come take a look at our problem.That was not going to work for us. After reading all the great reviews of the pocket plunger we called right away.. Antonio came out fixed our problem for a fraction of the cost that the other companies were going to charge us. I will recommend this honest, kind working man to everyone that I know!! Thank you Antonio for helping our family out.

We had a very bad leak in the main water pipe to the house.  I called Antonio and left a message and he called back quickly.  It was a difficult and very messy job.  He gave me an estimate to diagnose, which included
digging an extraordinary amount of mud out from around the leak.  He came back on the weekend to pump more water out of the big hole.  Long story short, he was very knowledgable, good at calling me as needed, worked VERY HARD ( as did his co-worker) and got the job done as soon as possible so we could get the water turned back on!!  I would use him again!

A+.  Timing, price, and results where all accurate and reasonable.  He went above and beyond what was required.  Excellent customer service with a smile.

From other testimonials I decided to hire The Pocket Plunger, (Antonio) for three separate plumbing jobs in and around my house.  Antonio has been my plumber ever since.  

1.  The first project was a broken hot/cold handle for the bathtub.  I started noticing the handle was becoming loose and finally it broke.  This job made me the most nervous because I thought I would have to replace the entire bathtub faucet, but he was able to fix it without replacing the entire unit and it has worked great ever since.  That was over 3 years ago now.  

2.  The second job was an outside sprinkler pipe that was leaking.  I didn't even think at first that he could do outside jobs as well, but when I told him what was going on he immediately came over in the extreme outside heat and got to work.  

3.  The third job was a maintenance flush for my hot water tank.  I had recently found out that it is a good idea to flush your water tank to extend the life of the tank.  Basically you drain the tank and flush it with fresh water to clean all the minerals that are at the bottom of the tank.  What impressed me the most on this job was the fact that Antonio showed me exactly what he was doing so that I could do it myself in the future.

I spoke with him after I was having problems with another Plumber. It did not work out that I used his services, but he was very helpful and honest. He will be my first call next time.

Despite the positive reviews on here, my experience was contrary.

The work done was rushed, sloppy, and when it was done, Anthony left all the trash, extra parts, crud, water, dirt, etc all over the place. Never offered to clean it up. Just left. My house was clean before the job.

Any good contractor will always clean up after themselves and leave the place the same if not better than when they arrived.

Price was too good to be true.

Antonio, aka The Pocket Plunger is a true pro. He is available for emergency calls. floods, etc. I even reached him once when he was out of the country. I told him what was going on and he told me not to wait for him to get back as I'd planned to do, but to call another plumber immediately. He did such a great job that we called him back to fix a long term slow leak that she had with her kitchen sink plumbing. He was very through in his assessment of the problems and did not cut corners in the repair. He went the extra mile to provide the best service with a smile. He is a perfectionist in his field. We feel so blessed to have met such a skilled expert. He was very kind and fair with his fees for service. We highly recommend his professional services without hesitation.

After seeing the great reviews on here, I called Antonio to see if he could fix my leaky shower.  He came exactly on time,  with the tools and materials he needed to do the job. And it turned out to be a difficult job.  The cartridge behind my shower knob had corroded, and was very difficult to remove.  But after a huge amount of effort, Antonio was able to get the old one off, and then quickly installed the new one. It was a much tougher job than anticipated, but he still stayed with his original estimate.

NOTE:  Although everything I said above still holds true, I do have a complaint. My toilets had been running constantly. Antonio looked at them and said they were one piece toilets and would be very difficult to work on. He could replace them for me for $400 each.  I then had someone else look at them, and for $10 and about 15 minutes of work, the flappers were replaced and the problem was fixed.  So I have to amend my review, as I feel Antonio tried to sell me something I didn't need.

I'm so impressed that Antonio picked up the phone and was at my office in 20 minutes to give me an estimate. I had called 5 different places and he was the most responsive and professional. Definitely recommend him!

Antonio is amazing. He installed a clean out for me for far less than any other place in town. Best of all he was honest and didn't try to upsell me on any additional work. I would absolutely recommend Antonio to anyone and everyone!  As a real estate agent I have worked with Antonio for years and am always confident in his honest, reliable and top notch service.  I know he will take great care of our clients and don't hesitate referring him to anyone needing an estimate, repair or even second opinion.  You won't be disappointed!

To say that all of the positive reviews about Antonio are deserving is a huge understatement. My wife noticed a corroded pipe in our basement that had an infrequent drip, so we called The Pocket Plunger to come check it out.   Antonio replaced the corroded pipe and also pointed out how another pipe connected to our water heater was not up to city code.  He corrected this problem too and did not charge us extra for it.  Before he finished these, he noted that whoever was working in our home last appeared to have done a really poor plumbing job, and was concerned that we may have other issues based on the quality of workmanship he had seen thus far.  

As it turned out, he was absolutely right, and his initial repairs were the least of our problems.  When we turned the outdoor water source back on, water began pouring through part of our basement ceiling, which are wooden floor boards.  We shut the water back off, and Antonio determined that the leak was coming from the shower in our 1st floor bathroom.  After cutting into the wall behind our shower, we noticed that the pipes connected to the shower were completely unhinged, and no soldering had taken place!  We bought this house a couple years ago from house flippers, who clearly had novices work on our pipes.  Unfortunately, our home inspection did not reveal any of the issues Antonio discovered.

Antonio took the time to actually create a new connecting pipe, and soldered the pipes himself.  Since the pipes were propped up next to a wood beam, he had to be careful enough with the torch to not start a fire with the beam, while also avoid burning the back side of our shower tile wall.  This took a great deal of time and patience, and Antonio actually had to reschedule another appointment he had in order to take care of this unforeseen problem at our house.  

At the end of the day (literally, as he was at our house from around 8:30am - 6:30pm) he finished the job, and even recommended a person to come repair the hole in our dry wall.  Beyond this, he was more than reasonable with us on additional costs, as I imagine other contractors would have charged us through the roof for the job he ended up doing.  

Antonio is the first person we will call for plumbing issues, and definitely for a plumbing inspection when buying a property!  Thanks again for all your help, Antonio.

We called today with an exterior leak when our regular plumber was booked.  Believe the reviews!  Antonio is reasonable, prompt, and super helpful.  This will be our first call from now on when we need a plumber.  I highly recommend the Pocket Plunger!

Wow! Antonio really went the extra mile when he replaced my water heater. The old one was a mess with extra jury-rigged pipes to an extra sink, and it leaked all over the garage. Antonio got rid of the mess and had the connections to get the wet drywall replaced immediately so the job wasn't delayed. We had HOT water that evening!

I've never been so proud of an appliance, but my new water heater is a thing of beauty!  Antonio even took care of my garbage disposal at the same time. Thanks, Antonio!

I reached out to Antonio when I needed my valves/shower handles replaced. He was able to come out the same day to see the job in person and I really appreciated his honesty. I had a older home and he explained all the risks associated with the job and made sure I understood and felt comfortable before proceeding.

Wonderful service at a very reasonable price. Had a backup sink called on Monday morning they agreed to be at our house around 1 PM showed up right on time saw the problem and had it taken care of right away.

Hadn't been able to wash dishes or laundry without having disgusting black unidentifiable slurpy liquid fill up the sinks. Gross!

It's been some time since I haven't had to deal with a home warranty company and all the stressful time and money wasting that comes with needing home repairs. I canceled the contract last year with First American Home Warranty after 2 years of solid denials of claims & fighting with them to honor the contract. Freedom @last!!! ;)

Today was the first time out the gate with an independent plumber(this is a helpful consumer, homeowner tip for those searching for such a company; not a ramble).

The Pocket Plunger took the call late in the day; yesterday to be exact and arrived within 4 hours to fix the stopped up drain. He's located in the Arden area too which worked beautifully!

Payment? He takes cash or check and no credit cards. No problem as the money and uber fast service call is worth it's wait in gold. He was time efficient and didn't try to up sell anything. Loved the hell out of this.

Speak Spanish? So does he as well as English! The benefits just keep getting better and he's definitely my go to plumber from here on out.

I don't normally write that many reviews for Yelp, but I had such a great experience with The Pocket Plunger (Antonio) that I felt obligated to.  Reliable, trustworthy, with very reasonable prices.  He is definitely my new go-to plumber in the Sacramento area.  I'm so glad I called him!

It was the day after Thanksgiving and BOTH toilets were clogged....  not knowing what to do we called a number of plumbers on Yelp.  Many were not working, but lucky for us Antonio was available.  

We called in the morning and he said he could be here between 12 and 1PM.  I expected him to be late since that seems to be the norm with a lot of these service guys, but he was here as promised.  On top of that, he fixed the clog within 30 minutes and charged us a very reasonable price.

Overall a great experience AND he was a very friendly guy.

Antonio is the best. I called him based on his glowing Yelp reviews, and he did not disappoint. I had a leak under my kitchen sink that required immediate fixing. I left him a voice mail, he called me back in minutes, and expertly fixed the problem that same afternoon. The price was very reasonable. We even chatted about our respective professions and client service philosophies.  A+ service.

Sometimes when I see this many excellent  reviews , it makes me wonder, but this is the real deal. Antonio came when he said he would , diagnosed our problem , worked very hard  on a steamy day to fix it & charged a reasonable rate which he quoted right after the diagnosis. Best of all  his patientce , willingness to explain why the problem is happening & his friendliness inspire confidence and well being in a always stressful situation....great service , great guy!

We had a bit of a problem at our house and Antonio came over to do a free estimate.  He fully checked out the problem and gave us valuable advice.  He offered to beat anyone else's price as well.  We were able to fix the problem on our own after all, but if we ever need another plumber again in Sacramento, Antonio will be our first call.

Antonio was early,  and went right to work on my clogged up landscape drain.  He got that drain as cleared out as possible.  I appreciate his hard work, honesty, and skill.  He is someone I would recommend and use again myself.

Antonio did not go over his estimate even though the work was more than what was expected.  He put in a hot water heater for me plus did some extra work cutting and rerouting some old gas lines.  He is the best plumber I ever had do work for me.  I'm almost 60 so I know what I'm talking about.  Call him you will not be disappointed. Antonio is amazing.  I called to get a quote for him to fix our sink and clog a really bad drain (even though we attempted to snake it multiple times).  He communicated well as to when he could come out to our house and once he completed the fix, his pricing was very reasonable.  I would definitely call him again for future plumbing issues.

I hired Antonio because of all the great reviews. Maybe I just got him at a bad time, but he didn't seem to want to do the work. This was a simple snake out of a stoppage in the sewer line. I have used Happy Rooter in the past and they've done a great job at very reasonable prices but I decided to try someone else this time. Antonio's price of $49 was way below the only other price I got of $185 for this job so this made me happy and cautious. He came out, looked at the location of the pipe and told me it was the City's responsibility. I explained that even though I live in the City, the County deals with the sewer and that I had called them first, they had come out and told me it was on my side of the fence so it was my responsibility. I knew this from prior experiences, but always call them first in case the problem is on their side. I explained this but Antonio did not believe me, he was so sure it had to be their problem and was worried about getting in trouble for fixing something he shouldn't have. He called the County and left (asking me for gas money), they sent someone out who verified what the first guy had said so I called Antonio and told him I would like him to come fix it. When he came the next day he still was not convinced he should be doing it. He snaked it out but said there is still something blocking the line and I will have to get it fixed, did not offer to do that and again, didn't seem interested in doing the work at all. I paid him the $49 just happy to have the situation eased at least, but I will  not use him again. On a side note, I think the way any repairman treats his tools says a lot about him. When he got here Antonio's extension cord was so knotted up it took both of us to make is usable.

I got a washer and dryer but I needed to change the hookups. It was a little to difficult of a job for me to do on my own so I called the Pocket Plunger. He came out and did a great job. Very good work and price.

USE THIS PLUMBER!  I called Antonio in a panic when my rental unit had plumbing issues that needed immediate attention on a Sunday. He was friendly, professional and responded immediately.

I was making arrangements long-distance as I no longer live in Sac, which I thought would complicate things. But Antonio was so helpful and cooperative and communicated with me on what the problems were and what was needed to remedy the situation. His prices were more than fair and he showed up when he said he would. My only regret is that I did not know about him a while ago when I had to have the water heater replaced as I certainly would have used him for that.

Do yourself a favor and if you need a plumber call ANTONIO!

Definitely would recommend Antonio, he is very reasonable in price, performs great quality work and will refer you to someone else as necessary.  He came to my house at 7am to look at a laundry sink installation, took care of all the paperwork, and finished quickly.  Great work!

Antonio has done plumbing work for me on two occasions. Both times, he has been friendly, timely, and reasonably priced. I will use his services again. I had used other plumbers in the past, who were dishonest and tried to get me to spend outrageous amounts of money for unnecessary repairs.

Came out quickly, couldn't fix the problem so he didn't charge me one cent! Amazing guy, amazing company, highly recommend! Professional, kind, and very helpful. He couldn't fix the problem even though he tried very hard. He gave me advice on what to do and gave contact info to another company that would be able to help me further.

We had a major back up in our kitchen sink.  I tried to resolve it myself but to no resolve.  I searched out a quality plumber on Yelp and that is exactly what I got.  We had several days of Pioneer Days hand washing everything.  The Pocket Plunger is fantastic and Great Price.  I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of their services.

Antonio saved the day for me and my family this week!  Had a water leak which led to about one foot of water under my house.  Antonio helped me pump all the water out and once most of it was gone, threw on his superman overalls and crawled under to repair the leak.  It was cold, very wet, muddy and very cramped under the house but he never complained about taking care of what needed to be done to fix the problem.  He charged a very good price considering the four hours he spent fixing the leak and even plans on coming back to make certain its fully sealed.  Antonio is a real good, honest, and hard working guy...what more could you desire!  Thank you Antonio!!!
