Very disappointed. I called in the morning and let the office girl know that BOTH of my toilets were not flushing, and that I needed someone right away. She gave me a window of 12-5 pm. when they would arrive.
I waited until 4 pm to call and ask if they had forgotten about me? The girl huffed and said they would be there in 1/2 an hour.
Called again at 5 pm, this time she gave me lame excuse; something w out how it's hard to find workers right now, and told me I can either wait, or they would come out tomorrow.
No thank you! I called another plumber and he came out right away.
Good riddance! I will not be calling you again!

Excellent company. Hired them a month ago to clean a drain. A month later water was draining slow again. They came out and determined it was a continuation of the same problem and fixed it under warranty. I'm 110% satisfied and highly recommend them. Prices are less expensive than most companies but their service is still top notch.

Stan's Plumbing is very professional. They always call you back and are pretty quick about getting someone out to your place. The guys that come out are clean and very polite. Work is done before you know it. They are very good on price too.
I have had then do a lot of work at my home and I know people who have used them too. They are also very satisfied with them. I highly recommend calling them and at least get a quote before you call anyone else.

They were fantastic.  I had a very difficult situation of detecting a leak.  Their man Pedro worked until he got my situation resolved.  I really appreciate his efforts and kind way.  Very respectful and hard working young man.  Hats off to Pedro and Stan's Discount Plumbing.

Our house had a hot spot and our dirt and grass surrounding our house became moist so we called quite a few plumbers since my husband knew we had a leak somewhere. All the plumbers except one were either not so knowledgeable or were trying to steal money from us but they said the hot spot was from the water heater and the problem was a leak from one of the bathrooms. The amounts they wanted to charge us were crazy!
Our last plumber to call was Stans discount rooter and Austin, the plumber was knowledgable, very friendly and went straight to the problem. He knew the hot spot was NOT from the water heater and he located the water leaks. He drilled, he fixed the leaks and cleaned up his mess. Austin was great, I give him 5 stars
My number one advice to people is shop around!

I had tried everything in my power to fix the sink and washing machine drain. Nothing I did worked. Mike at Stan's was the best. He didn't make me feel stupid. He listened to all the things I had tried and then he fixed the problem. Also, his attitude was superior. My experience was so good I question if I'll try to DIY it again.

With an old house, we've had most of Bakersfield's plumbers here at one time or another.  Stan's was the best experience so far. They were fast, reasonable, personable and efficient.  Our water heater needed to be replaced and things brought up to code. They got the permits, parts and installation done in record time and at the right price. Everyone I spoke with or dealt with personally were professional and courteous. I would not hesitate to call them back for any future repairs.  They were the best.  Thank you, Stan's!

Now heres my up date on this greedy company. They never installed my sink faucet right ,took my old brass swan away  which I call stealing it was still good just needed the wing welded back on and like new ,but I had a new one so I just had then install the new one  Easy $70.00 job no never installed right they refused to waste there time to come back to fix it, cause as they say its been to long ,so I just got another guy in here told him what they did he looked at it and within 5 minutes it was fixed problem Stans guy never put a sealer on it to keep it tight and from water leaking under cabinet , The guy didn't charge me a cent and said shame on Stans  Plumbing they probably lost more sales on my review then just fixing it. When I filed a complaint to BBB then they offered to send someone over I refused because  they lied to BBB and there guy stoled my stuff and the items in the new box ,he could of just put them in my trash no he walked out the door with them Im retired lady wheelchair bound and was afraid to say any thing I was alone. Now its fixed

I had a very bad experience with this company, that necessitated two other plumbers having to come out to rectify their mistake.

I just have to say these plumbers have got to be the best. Great rates and great customer service. The man that came to our house was not a primadonna plumber like the plumbers at heroes plumbing. I will definitely use these guys for every plumbing need. Thank u.

Called at 4pm dispatcher said a plumber would call me back with an eta and estimate. Pedro call back within 10 mins and said he'd be there within an hour.  Yeah!!  He arrived within 30mins and finished the plumbing within an hour.  Job well done Pedro and thank you Stan's.

Both bathrooms were clogged and I needed someone immediately. They were at my house in less than 20 minutes. The service technician was friendly and very efficient in the work he did. He cleared my clog and the cost was very reasonable. I was extremely happy and will call on them again if I need a plumber.

Pedro had to come out after hours and still only charged us $220, not a bad deal when your bathtub is full of shit and your previous guy (Tommy's) wouldn't come back out for whatever reasons... thanks a lot. But Pedro is a stand up guy. He came back out the next day... still clogged, but did not charge us. I will call these guys again!!

We had Stans re-pipe our entire house. We went with them because they had the lowest bid. Well, as they say, you get what you pay for. The pipes are not secure and clunk every time the water is shut off. The amount of damage they did to put the pipe in was unnecessary. Sloppy cutting past the studs in all the drywall. It's been a nightmare to repair. They left trash and messes everywhere and did not clean up after themselves. Now I'm having fittings come loose and leak. I've had to shut the water off in the house and they don't seem to care. They said they won't be out for hours. I guess I'll have to find a restroom somewhere else in the mean time. Never again. On the other hand, I used Poes Plumbing to clean up some stuff and do finish work. His work has been impeccable. I would not recommend Stans to anyone.

We called Stan's this morning for a little plumbing emergency we were having with shower and toilets backing up. They were here by noon and quickly unstopped the drains. Their fees were very reasonable! We would definitely use them again!!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.  They used to be good.  Now their customer service is horrible, they are very expensive, and the work is shoddy.  I was quoted $520 to replace a kitchen faucet that was installed 3 years ago for less than $200.  The repairman admitted they jack up the price of parts really high and it would be better if I bought them myself.  They charge $120 to come out and diagnose, when they come back to do the work they charge $120 again on top of parts and labor.  You can do better with another company.  I recommend EHS and Sons.

to replace the drain fitting for a shower pan and then expected the 70.00
estimate fee. after I called the office and complained  the secretary Waived the fee I  think there should be a law against price gouging

Very impressed with this company. They came out quickly and assessed the problems we were having  then fixed them quickly and completely. They were able to bill our landlord without difficulty. Mike was very outgoing and competent. He explained what he was repairing and why. I will definitely call them again for any problems.

The employee I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me. They need serious work on their customer service and they need to inform ALL their employees exactly how their pricing system works.

Been using Stans's for many years and they offer EXCEPTIONAL service. Originaly they were going to bust out my tub to fix problem but they went above and beyound  and dug underneath and fixed it. They did a good job cleaning up after there job. always have been happy with there work.

We called Stan's to look at a toilet that was difficult to flush, plus a bathroom sink faucet that was difficult to open. The technician (Mike) came out and corrected both problems in no time at all. Mike was very personable and did an excellent job explaining to us what was causing both problems. The repair price was reasonable as well. We definitely will be using Stan's for any future plumbing problems and give major kudos to Mike as well!

Had a bad experience with another plumber. The other business put me off multiple times and when they did arrive (late) I felt the price was too high. I told the other plumber he could go. I called Stan's and within ONE HOUR they had not only arrived, they had completed the job for less. I've used Stan's many times and was kicking myself that I tried another plumber. Save yourself time and money-just call Stan's.

Had a toilet fill valve leaking, the line itself was in bad shape. Called them (after-hours), Matt arrived a couple hours later. He listened to the problem, gave recommendations, and got right to work. One of the parts he didn't have on his truck so he quickly replaced the valve, turned our water back on, and went for the other part. After returning he quickly completed the job, cleaned up, and asked if there was anything else we needed... this was after 7PM on a Friday night. Very professional, experienced, friendly, and reasonable prices. We have a home warranty but can't always wait 2-3 days, so we'll definitely call on these guys again for service. Thanks!

We had our house re-piped with PEX by Stan's and they did an amazing job from start to finish.  They gave us a quote the day after I called, and about  a week later they were able to start the job. Christian and Andy kept us informed throughout the re-pipe project, and although they encountered a few unforeseen problem, they always came up with a workable solution.  Also, they were very peasant to deal with even thought they were crawling through the 100+ degree attic.  At the end of the job, they actually reduced the quote because they were not able to re-pipe a couple of spots because the water line ran under the foundation. We highly recommend Stan's for any plumbing project.

Stan's came recommended by a friend.  I contacted the office and they were able to schedule an appointment for my day off. The technician arrived within service window (and the office calls before they headed over which is a plus for sure). The technician was friendly and seemed to know what the issue was quickly. 30 minutes later my kitchen sink was clog-free and they installed a new hose that he had available in his truck. Great company! I needed a main line clean out, called them on the recommendation of a friend and they set up an appointment for 8am the next morning. Carlos showed up right on time & had my issue fixed quickly. Price quoted was exactly what I paid, very professional & they have a warranty on their work. I'll call them again if I need anything!

Andy came this evening when we had a bit of a plumbing emergency (drywall and pipes affected) and absolutely fixed all our problems. He was fast and super kind. Pricing was extremely fair. From making the call to him leaving maybe 2.5 hours. Would recommend to anyone! Thanks!!

Completely reputed my 1960's home with Pecs .  They use the authentic product.  The guys are friendly, courteous and explain everything clearly.  They also clean up behind themselves daily, (three day job)

I was quoted one price over the phone for their hourly rate and then he decided when he was here to raise that rate. He said they assess when they arrive. Ummm that seems pretty shady to me. I got charged almost $200 for something that took him 15 minutes to fix. He could tell I was upset with the bill but didn't seem to care or make it right. I would NOT recommend this business. I had a much better experience with Bakersfield Plumbing Co!

Curtis was great! He helped us with our sink, drains, and the replacement of 2 main valves. We have used Stan's a number of times over the years and have always been pleased.

WARNING:  Stan's Discount Plumbing charges $119.00 to tell you what kind of faucet you need and then another $119.00 and up to come back and install it.

Had shower and toilet back up ... plumber came I explained what was the problem he went up on the roof he jumped around so badly my wall shook..then he comes back and tells me my pipe is broken.. I asked him why does the water from two different sinks drain just fine with no back up.. he couldn't give me an answer... I asked him to take the toilet off and go down it .. he stated I DONT HAVE THE TOOLS TO DO THAT .... pretty bad a plumber with no wrench.. he demanded $100 took my and left.. I still had no toilet or shower.. went to the store bought some acid put it in shower drain and we'll 3 hours later my toilet and shower draining perfect.. called to get any of my $100 back .. told me to bad so sad .. I don't recommend Stan's discount plumbing

We've used Stan's three or four times and really like them. They get in, get the work done, and get out. I'm glad we found them.

Here I go again! We have had a continuing root problem, and Trevor has tried more than once to get the insurance to cover replacement of the line. FINALLY, after Jacob had been to our house again, within thirty days, he and Trevor were able to convince the insurance company of the seriousness. Once approved, Trevor, Jacob and Jose (second day on the job) came and stayed until after 10:00 p.m., to get the line in and temporarily hook it up pending inspection. Stan's hires terrific people. The work ethic is without a match in our experience. I cannot say enough in praise of the company and the people they have sent to resolve our problems. Now, since the line is replaced, we will probably not have as much contact with them! Too bad for us!

I have used Stan's over the years for every plumbing need from root clean out to installing a new hot water heater and pipe repair...

The young man Matthew seemed really nice and very polite. I tried to make sure he had water and a fan on while he did his work. Seemed pretty upfront and honest but here is where I am having a problem. My original quote for the job started at $336.00. Nothing went wrong nor did he have to order anything extra while doing the work. I was originally quoted $68 for the earthquake strapping which we didn't need because he used my ones that were previously there. (Charged me $35 to strap in the water heater that he replaced. Wouldn't that be part of the labor that my insurance was paying for?) That should have saved me $68. (Or $33.00 if my insurance didn't cover it) Then they charged me $82.00 for the hot and cold flex lines that's including labor of $35.00. (I bought them for $22.00 myself. So technically all I should have paid for is the $35.00 labor fee. So here is another $47.00 I should have saved because I bought them and he installed them) They also quoted me for a drain pan @ $72.00. I also bought that myself. So even if he charged me $35 to sit it on the shelf I still should have saved $37.  They quoted me $50 for the sediment trap that cost $14.99 in stores and he claimed he only charged me $12 for and another $35 in labor. So $3.00 difference in that. They quoted $47.50 for the cement board that cost $15.00 plus their $35 labor fee. So I saved a couple dollars there.  So let's just say I add up the $68+$47+37 only that equals $152 I should not have had to pay according to the original quote of $336.00.  I should have paid only $184 vs $269 which was the end result I got charged) That is a $85 difference. Well here is just an honest and fair review. Oh if they gave me back the $85 difference they would have definitely got at least 4 stars.  I'm not mad at the fact that it took almost 4 hrs because of some of his own small mistakes that he apologized for on several occasions nor the burns on my wall where the copper pipes were soldered. I know it's part of the business but please be fair. You worked hard for your money just like I did but $85 is $85. And that's not including the $35 labor fees for the earthquake strap labor fees the insurance company should have covered.

I do not recommend this place at all and would give 0 stars if I could. Significantly overcharged for what was an easy job. Be wary.. they charge per job and not per hour which leaves almost no accountability or honesty or protection for the customer.
Also, a free tip to your plumbers.. keep the rude comments about my house to yourself. You'll seem more professional overall, believe me.
