Leaving this review nearly 2 years later. I searched for a lighting installer and found Shannon on yelp. He seemed more like an electrician than a lighting installer at first. But he got the job done and my high end Restoration Hardware lights look great! My dining room chandelier light did not come with a hardware mounting kit, so he ran to Home Depot, picked up some parts and got my light installed nicely. 2 years later the lights are still up with no issues.

You literally cannot do better than hiring Shannon from specialized creative power electrical. 100% this is the guy. Shannon was on time, professional, had the absolute best price, and even went out of his way to make sure the job got done properly. We've had to get a lot of work done on our house and it's crazy how much people are willing to screw you. Shannon was the exact opposite of that and I am so relieved that he did the work and not someone else.

Shannon was the ultimate professional. We had requested a few different bids for a few electrical upgrades in our house. Shannon was prompt and his expertise helped us to decide on a few items that we were trying to decide on and he actually saved us some money. We had Shannon come over to our house and give us a quote after our previous electrician failed to show up for a job.  We asked Shannon for a quote to install  a very heavy chandelier as well as install ceiling fans and 3 island kitchen pendant lights.

Shannon came over and provided us with a vey good quote so we went ahead and scheduled the install.

We are extremely happy with how the job turned out and we will definitely be using him for future projects in our house and will refer him to family and friends as well!

Shannon worked on our garage and helped clean up and mess of wires that were strewn across haphazardly across the top wooden beams and installed some nice LED lighting. Was able to install three new external outlets for our new sprinklers. Would def use again in the future

Shannon was fairly booked but was responsive on getting me an appointment. He sent a reminder, came on time, and listened to the problem. I bought a new house with a built in NVR system that I was seemingly locked out of. He was able to recognize it, get in, configure it, and set me up with the corresponding app that worked  with it based on his experience. Certainly worthwhile for me and happy with his service.

I like that prior to the appointment, Shannon answered all my questions very well. He took some extra time to help me seal an outdoor conduit that my AC guy didn't seal properly back then, which was very nice! Our new NEMA outlet is up and running within a few hours. I appreciate his explanation of what went wrong with my washer & dryer outlet as well. Glad that everything was fixed/ installed within a short amount of time and with a fair pricing.

Awesome experience overall - from my Yelp request to project completion. I was in a jam trying to install 3 new switches (which I had done before but this was a different beast). What I didn't realize was the wires in the box also went to my fridge and outdoor lights (thanks to a 30 year old home and bad flip). So I tried a few times to figure it out but needed a pro. SCP Electrical was first to respond and with a quote that seemed very fair to me. Others did responded later but after sharing the attached picture wanted $100+ more and couldn't show up till 3 days later (SCP showed up in under 24 hours). That said, I half expected  the amount to jump after completing the work today. NOPE! Kept the price the same which ended also including having to work on another switch. Happy to have found a great electrician today. Will be calling again. Highly recommended.

Shannon is awesome! He has done various electrical jobs around our house including installed a Tesla EV charger, fixing broken outlets, installing ceiling light fixtures from Europe (and needed different voltage), and general electrical troubleshooting. We also enjoyed working with Cameron. They're highly knowledgeable, work quickly and do a great job. We highly recommend SCP Electrical and will always think of them for our electrical needs.

This is a tough one. He showed up on time and he did a good job, but the communication around the charges was poor. He quoted me $150 but when the job was done about an hour later he asked for $375. I recognize that some of this was for cables that I asked for, which he told me cost $30 each, but I see on Amazon they cost $13. In the end he accepted $300 but I wish I didn't have to negotiate and would much prefer for greater transparency. As I say, he did a good job, but I was left with a bad taste so while I appreciate his negotiating somewhat I love Yelp so much, I feel it would be wrong to give a five star rating because  that is why I called him in the first place..

Shannon is a brain dead worthless electrician who almost burned our house down and caused us to have to stay in a hotel for 6 days while another electrician had to come and make our home safe again. This kid gets in over his head then walked off our job because he was embarassed in front of the other contractors who got very upset with him for putting them at risk and causing a fire.

Beware of this guy he will cause you a lot of headaches.

Wins:  The electrician responded to my initial quote request very quickly. He gave me a reasonable price and included an additional quote for some other work that I wanted to do.

Opportunities:  Unfortunately, when we scheduled an appointment, he tried to reschedule at the last minute (just a few hours before the appointment) under the guise of needing more time for the additional work. I informed him that the original appointment would be the only time that I could do it and requested to just do the original work, and leave the other item until a future appointment.  The story then changed to, oh well, I can't do ANY of the work at the original appointment time.  I was forced to reshuffle my entire day and make other arrangements.  

Recommendations for improvement:  If are required to make a last-minute cancellation, please do your best to notify your clients as early as possible. When that occurs, please use full disclosure when discussing the issue.

I had a problem with making the proper connections for a 3-way switch in my kitchen remodel. A pair of electricians were at my house in under 2 hours and corrected the issue quickly. Time IS money and it was money well spent.

I needed a 50amp 240V outlet installed in my garage for EV charging so I contacted several electricians on Yelp for a quote. SCP was among the first to respond and they provided a reasonable price for the work to be done. Another company responded with a much lower estimate, but when they came out they boosted the price by 3x the original quote! I'm glad to report the SCP stuck to the price quoted except for about $15 extra for tax on parts.

Service was scheduled quickly for the next day and they installed a new breaker, ran about 50' of conduit and wire and put the NEMA 14-50 outlet exactly where I asked them to. Shannon was very easy to work with and efficient! I highly reccomend SCP and would use them again in a heartbeat!

This was by far the most responsive electrician that I have worked with. Most of the calls I made to other electricians, I felt like they were really not interested in the work. I was in need of repairs because our entire kitchen was down. Shannon asked me to text a photo of the electric panel. Early the next morning he came out and fixed it. His price was fair and there were no games. He will be my first call next time I need an electrician.

Shannon was awesome! My husband half-installed some giant pendant lights over our kitchen island and got stuck. Shannon came first thing the next morning, fixed the lights quickly, was so nice, and the quote was totally reasonable. We recently moved and I would love to hire Shannon again for all of our upcoming installations.

These guys are amazing! I had some electrical problems at my mother-n-law's house that took some finesse. The technician, Shannon was so good with her. In addition, he spend extra time explaining options to her that made her day. They are super knowledgeable and the best!

In November 2017, we contacted four contractors to install a new 85 4K TV, receiver, surround sound speakers and Blu-ray player, but we also needed help coordinating all the equipment for the size of our room. Shannon was the first to respond to our request for quote, and readily shared his knowledge and helpful recommendations over and over again as we had questions all along the way. This was a major purchase for us and we wanted to make sure we didn't regret it, so we had lots of questions. Shannon was patient and responsive to all of our inquiries, and suggested recessed lighting in our entertainment room (which we love!).

When we were settled on the equipment and the plan, he showed up as promised and got the job done as expected. He even reinstalled other existing equipment we used with our old TV, and set up the new system to recognize it. Subsequently, when we had questions about the equipment or how to use it, he responded promptly and respectfully. We never felt like we were asking dumb questions.

We've been enjoying our new entertainment system for four months now and have had a couple of hiccups, but Shannon has always returned our calls and even made a house visit to help us resolve one issue. We believe the sign of a good system is that it works smoothly and consistently; ours certainly meets this standard.

My request for service was answered in less than 30m...Shannon the owner, was in my kitchen within an hour...half-hour later problem was fixed at a very reasonable charge. Shannon is easy going and took the time to answer all my questions.  I highly recommend him.

We had Shannon come mount our TV above the fireplace. He did a fantastic and clean job. The work is guaranteed so if anything happens later on he will be able to fix as well. I would definitely recommend him over TAKL and Costco mounting services.

Shannon was very polite, punctual, and everything installed seems to work. I'm giving three stars for service which I feel was substandard overall, particularly when factoring in price. We had a new outlet, 6 fixtures, and a new doorbell installed for $1450. Shannon was here for just over 5 hours and we provided all the fixtures. That is a high price; this company's estimate did not come in at the lowest price, by far, but the reviews here swayed us to go with Specialized Power. Unfortunately, I did not come across some of the issues of concern until after Shannon left. With regard to the new doorbell, the wall in which the speaker sits behind the register is broken. Not a big deal if it was necessary to do the install, but I wish he would have spoken to us about it. Further, the new doorbell ($175 on the invoice) was installed with the same brass faceplate from 1977 when the house was built. I would expect that a new faceplate would come with the new doorbell kit. If not, again, you would think that this would be discussed with us. I believe most folks requesting a new doorbell would expect a new doorbell in its entirety. The ceiling fan installed in our bedroom had a part come loose the first time it was used. Lastly, trash was left everywhere. Small screws and other bits of hardware were found in every room, on the floor, on dressers, counters, etc. I understand it is our job to get rid of the packaging but leaving screws and pieces of metal for people to step on (or pets to eat) seems like something most folks would know not to do. Definitely not worth $1450.

I realized that I missed doing a review for Shannon but man, he's incredible. He helped install a soundbar and get my wires all dialed in for a TV wall mount as well as fixed some light switch issues we had in less than a few hours. Friendly and reliable. Am using him again and again for any future jobs.

I cannot overemphasize how impressed I was with Shannon.  Within the first 20 mins he had stuff fixed that I hadn't even asked him about yet...stuff that I was told could not even be fixed!  He is extremely knowledgable in his field. He is an EXPERT.  He pointed out all the errors in the original installation of my remodel.  He got us back up and running in short order and is currently helping us with our long term plan to get our place outfitted properly. Contacted specialized creative to install a security system in our office. Came out same day owner was extremely professional explain the process and the best places to set up the cameras. Shannon was great to work with for my solar inverter repair. He was fast responding to my quote request and was able to come out the same day to repair the inverter. Our bedroom ceiling lights flickered than went out completely.  Called Shannon and as his other reviews said, I was not disappointed.  He came as scheduled and on time.  His knowledge and expertise top notch.  Most of all, his charge to me was very fair.  I would recommend this company to anyone needing electrical service.

I can't believe how much of a nightmare this idiot Shannon turned a simple job into. We hired him over 8 months ago to upgrade our electric panel, program our already installed cameras and add a sub panel with 4 outlets, 1 to our bbq island. This should have been a simple weekend job but with his mistakes and slow pace 8 months later the job is still not finished.  I just kicked him off the job finally fed up with his excuses and poor workmanship.  
 The cameras are actually worse today then when we started. The PTZ cameras were programable and he couldn't get it right so he said the cameras were no good. Come on guy all 12 cameras are bad? I don't think so. Then he couldn't even get the cameras back the way that we had them prior to him touching them.
 The electric panel is a mess, the calking around it is extremely sloppy, the ground wire failed inspection 2 times and now we have a cluster of metal studs sticking out of our pool decking causing it to be unsafe.  The roof all around the panel is destroyed from this moron not knowing how to walk on a metal roof. He trampled all over it stepping wherever grinding all the grit off the shingles as well as denting them. The roof is not only visually unappealing it is physically damaged. The flashing all around the pipe coming threw the roof looks like it was the first time he ever put flashing up (see pics I post). There is calk all over the roof, flashing just very sloppy and ugly.
The sub panel goes to nothing. He claims that we didn't tell him why we were putting in a sub panel and he was just following orders. I had to ask him if he was kidding or just stupid. Why would anyone install a sub panel for no reason with not one thing attached to it, duh. We get him to at least connect the bbq island and he attempts to run conduit on top of the concrete across our patio to the island. I'm not sure what he was thinking once again because the inspector said he was a idiot and I think its pretty obvious you can't have a trip hazard on a patio.
 Not one of the things this clearly slow whited, sloppy, unprofessional, over priced jack off did was acceptable to me or the inspector. In order to get the job to pass inspection I had to do some of the work myself so we could get on with life. I am so disappointed in my fellow yelpers to have given him good reviews because that is how we met him. I hope someone who knows what they are looking at can avoid hiring hime because if you know what he is doing you will be very upset with how he leaves your house looking.

SCPE is one of the most professional and skilled companies I've ever worked with. Shannon was fantastic! My first job involved installing a heavy crystal chandelier on a 16 foot ceiling in the master bedroom. The job included moving the junction box. Initially, a pair of electricians from the store where I purchased the light came out to do the job. Once they saw the scope of the project, however, they told me they couldn't do it. I was concerned I'd never find an electrician willing and qualified for the job. Thank goodness I found Shannon. He did it with confidence and made it seem like no big deal (though I think it was!).

My second job involved installing a crystal chandelier (and moving the junction box) in the middle of a large wooden and mirrored medallion. I was a bit nervous because if the medallion was damaged in the process, I didn't know how I would fix it. Shannon did a beautiful job with no problems at all!

Shannon did a wonderful job installing a ceiling fan on a 10' vaulted ceiling for me!  He was clean and his work was impeccable!  His prices were reasonable and competitive.  He even offered to clean dirty fingerprints on area of my ceiling that an air conditioning worker had disgracefully left behind last year!  I will use his services again and recommend him!

We recently had an electrical shortage part of our house that caused all the outlets in the bedrooms and bathrooms to stop working. This has happened in the past, but we were always able to fix the problem ourselves. This time, we couldn't get the outlets working again and decided to call SCP after reading many, many reviews online.  

Shannon was professional and patient as we explained what the problem was.  He investigated the problem and started to repair the problem by going over the basics to make sure he didn't overlook any of the more basic repairs just so that he could make some extra money by recommending a complicated (and lengthy) solution to fix our problem.  It only took about 30 minutes for him to get all the outlets working again!

Since he charges by the hour (as most electricians in the area do), he asked to see if there were any other electrical issues we have been having.  We had an outlet in our family room that hasn't worked in the 25 years my family has been in this house, so we asked if he would mind looking at that. He agreed without any complaints and was able to hook the outlet up to the correct wires so that it would provide power to anything we plug in. He also corrected a light switch (the off position would turn the lights on while the on position turned the lights off) AND helped with a small exterior lighting problem by explaining why the light fixtures weren't working and how we could easily replace them without needing an electrician because of how the fixtures are built!

All in all, I have found my go-to electrician! I will definitely be calling SPC again for any future electrical needs, whether it is a remodeling project or just another problem that we cannot handle ourselves!

I went through a month of calling every electrician I can find to install a restoration hardware chandelier on my tall sloped ceiling in my townhome. None of them could do it. Seriously. I called this business and I got Shannon on the phone. Told him I bought a new chandelier and wanted hung above stairs and remove the old one. He came by my house and the next morning my new beautiful chandelier was up. I don't write many reviews but service was great and Shannon takes great pride in his work. My GFI breaker went out the night it rained. It controls the power to my internet service. I work 2 jobs and had very little time the next morning to waste on hiring an electrician. I began my calls at 8:30am, made 3 phone calls and when that produced no results I used the Get A Quote function Yelp provides in this App. With in 5 min I received text messages back from 2 of the companies I had already called with still no offer to call me back with a date or time to repair. I needed a 220V outlet replaced in my home. Shannon responded in less than 24 hours with an estimate. I scheduled the work with him a couple months later. I hired Specialized Creative Power to install a new power outlet in order to hang a TV in my backyard.  The job included cuts in drywall, studs, and stucco, along with the electrical work.   They conducted themselves in a professional manner, were friendly, and charged a fair price.  I would use them again.

Beware! Do not let Shannon enter your home!  If for some crazy reason you do hire this crook, do not let him touch anything without someone keeping a very close eye on him. I mean watch him like a hawk. Record him if you can, so you can catch his quick grubby hands deliberately causing damage to your property, so he can rake you across the coals for services.

We called him for a power-outage problem at my aunts house and while he thought we weren't looking, he switched a breaker that turned the lights back on. We were so excited that that it was simple fix, but before we could even say anything, this crook, literally ripped the breaker out and said that it was broken, so we had to pay additional money for him to install a new one. We couldn't believe what we just witnessed right before us! We argued that all the lights just came back on and that everything was good a second ago, what the heck did he just do?! He had the nerve to tell us that the lights never came back on! and that it was impossible that they were on because the breaker is broken...see?, as he held up the piece he just ripped out! He basically said we were just imagining that the entire house went from only having natural light from outside to lit up like a stadium! OMG! We were completely dumbfounded, shocked, appalled and floored by how brazen he was about what he just did! Holy crap, it was like the devil himself was standing before us!  The scary thing was, he didn't even flinch or lose his calm composure as he lied straight to our faces. Talk about PROFESSIONAL CROOK!!!

We felt like we were being held hostage, as we were already $150 in just for him showing up, he's now deliberately broken things we don't know how to fix, so we had to allow him to install a new one. It literally took him 3 minutes to install it and he charged an additional $200+!!! He did a sloppy job and left a mess to boot! The jerk also had the nerve to put one of his ugly stickers inside the panel, which I'm grateful he did, so we can send out pics of his sticker and social media to warn everyone about his unethical tactics.

The only thing that Special and Creative about his services is he's especially creative in ways to cheat people!!!

We should have known his slow talking calm voice was to gain our trust and let our guard down, so he could rip us off! Pay attention to the way he talks, he's putting on an act like he's trustworthy, not desperate for your business, and giving you good sound advice. There's nothing worse and more shameful than service men who target trusting people! After he just appalled us with by DELIBERATELY DAMAGING her property, he then had the audacity to try to sell my aunt lights and more services.  

PLEASE, PLEASE do yourself, your friends and family the favor, stay far away from this guy! He's 100% a wolf in sheep's clothing.  Do not allow this liar and scammer into your home!

I needed an outdated four bulb fluorescent kitchen lamp replaced when it's ballast (motor) burned out. I called a local Huntington Beach electricians service (which will remain unnamed) to get a free estimate at around 4:00 pm in late September 2019. They told me they closed at 6:00 pm but they would have an electrician stop by my house after 6:pm since he lived in Huntington Beach not too far from my home which also is in Huntington. I thought this was great customer service. At around 6:00 pm they phoned me to tell me that their tech was delayed in Irvine and could not see me that same day. They rescheduled me for the next day at 11:00 am. Around 11:00 am the tech called me and said that he was outside my home. I went out to look for him but he was nowhere to be found. It turned out that his dispatcher had given him the wrong address and he was somewhere in Fullerton !! We rescheduled for the third time for the following morning. He showed up, said he could put a new ballast (motor) in my broken lamp for 269.00 plus labor which was about 120.00 $ dollars. I told him that I wanted to get some more estimates. I then called Shannon at around 10:00 am and asked if he could help me get my new L.E.D. lighting installed that same day. He said that he was pretty busy but come by at a

Shannon installed recessed lighting in 7 different rooms in my home - most of them at high and odd angles. He worked alone on ladders while wearing a boot on one foot but got it all done and great work. Additionally he installed speakers 3 rooms along with their own receiver zones and all work great and sound amazing. He installed an LED string in the kitchen and pulled TV cables through the wall in one bedroom which made a great aesthetic difference. SCP was not the cheapest quote I received but not the most expensive either. I highly recommend Shannon and plan on using him again for future electrical or sound needs. The speakers are life changing!

I have to give Shannon a big shout out for the great work he did in our kitchen remodel. I got several quotes for our electrical work. When I ask for a quote I want a complete quote. IT seemed the 2 other guys I talked to gave me partial quotes to keep the price down initially but when I would call them and ask if certain things were included the answer was always oh, that's extra. So even though Shannon's quote wasn't the lowest initially, I think it was fair for all the work he had to do and the follow-up calls he made.

Secondly he gave me the best advice for the type of lighting to use in different areas. Once again I received advice from the others that would just end up in the lowest price, not the best lighting. I am in my kitchen a lot and I told them I wanted good, not just cheap. I didn't want incandescent lights but that is what the others quoted me. I guess the good lights would have been extra.

I had a major issue with my old intercom system when it broke along with my doorbell. Before I found Shannon I had called another company who came out said they couldn't fix it, offered to get a new system for me and then never heard from them again. Then I called every guy listed from Google asking if they could come to the house and take a look and everyone said the same thing I don't work on old intercom systems. Finally I went to Yelp and found Shannon through other customer reviews. He came out as fast as the weather would permit, agreed it was busted, ordered me a new system and was back out here to do the job all within a short time frame. It was when he got here that the job went sideways and turned out to be a bigger job then we thought but he figured it all out and installed an entire new system that looks amazing! My system is hardwired not running on WiFi, it's old school with brand new equipment and Shannon was able to get me all dialed in within hours at a reasonable rate too.

Shannon of SCP Electrical showed up as promised to replace a breaker in the main panel.  He also fixed the looseness of the outlet box for no extra charge.  I will definitely bring him back for my next project.

Shannon showed up on time with a smile and a firm handshake. He troubleshooted a very strange problem where one outlet went out under my sink, another in the garage, and another in the hallway. I work on boats, so know how the troubleshooting process works, and he is a master. He checked everything in a logical and quick manner, went into the attic with all sorts of special measuring devices, went outside, and within an hour had the problem diagnosed and repaired. I've used several different electricians in the past and have never been impressed with the way they would get stumped and hit dead ends at my house. Shannon knows his game well.

So this is my very first Yelp review.  Shannon just left a few minutes ago.  I'll try not to be too detailed...

THE PROBLEM:  The entire power to the office, 1 bedroom and garage went out this morning and I couldn't get it back on after fiddling with my Bull Dog Pushmatic Circuit Panel.  I just bought the house 2 months ago and this is the first electrical emergency.  That's when I turned to Yelp and picked Specialized Creative Power Electrical.  He's suppose to be available on weekends, so let's try.  Left Shannon a message.  He called an hour or so later and after hearing me describe the problem, he said he could be there in 30 minutes.  Wow.  Great.  It's a Saturday afternoon and I found someone, but his rate is $125/hour minimum and he may not even be able to fix it if a new circuit needs replacing--these pushmatic breakers aren't sold at Home Depot.  

HIS WORK:  Shannon arrived on time and went to work, looking and testing power to the wires in the circuit panel.  He fixed some minor problems and got my washer to work again--I accidentally turned it off earlier and couldn't get it back on.  It's not the panel, he said.  He wanted to check this outlet that I said sparked a lot this morning when I was vacuuming.  Turns out, whoever installed it did it wrong and the outlet sparked like fireworks when Shannon moved it around.  After that outlet got replaced, power was restored to all 3 rooms.  Yeah!

FIVE STAR SERVICE:  I still had about 45 minutes left before my $125 service call was up, so being Ms. I-Want-My-Money's-Worth, I asked if he would check out another problem I had.  One of the ceiling fans in the family room stopped working 2 weeks after I moved in.  The summer heat is coming!  Another electrician said it's probably an old fan (true) or the motor's died, but he didn't even check it out.  Shannon looked at the fan from afar and could've easily just said the same thing, but he had an idea and went to work.  After opening the fan up, he confirmed that electricity was going through.  Thank you for at least doing this.  Electricity's good, so I really thought the fan was a goner, but next thing I knew the fan blades were moving.  OMG, what did he do?  He got the fan to work!  What?!  He explained the problem, how the switch had died and also how he can get it to work w/o replacing the switch.  Now I don't have to pay the $65 service call to have the home warranty people come out.  He even took time to edjumacate me on Wiring 101.  This wire is the slow speed.  There's 2 more wires...purple and brown.  Which do I think is medium speed?  After I understood the wiring, I quickly black sharpie labeled the wire caps he put on for future reference.  

Now I still had 20 minutes before my hour was up and had him look at another fan that started having a strong electrical burning smell when turned on.  Shannon gladly went ahead and checked it out.

$125/hour seemed like a lot, but I gladly had my husband pay it :)  That was so worth it for all that work and it was an emergency call on a Saturday afternoon.   Yes, his regular rate is a lot cheaper.  My husband had checked out other Yelp electricians and the others either didn't work weekends or didn't work past 2:30.

Shannon, thanks for coming out when you could've been golfing and for being on time, thorough and for going the extra mile.  Got my money's worth and now have your number saved on my cell.

Shannon was great..   He installed a remote to control all viewing and intertaining units.  He is exceptionally knowlegable.  My receiver is old and did cause issues but he overcame that and has the units running great.       Highly recommended.      He is also scheduled to put in securinty cameras.

On a rainy afternoon my father's kitchen suddenly had an electrical problem, half of the kitchen lights and the TV weren't working.  My husband tried the circuit breaker but it wouldn't reset.  He called Shannon (based on the Yelp reviews) to see if he could come out.  Shannon was at the house within a half hour.  He thoroughly checked everything, found a bad ballast (actually melted) in the light above the kitchen sink which he took care of.  He also found a bad GFI in the plug by the sink, fixed that and checked out everything else.  Professional, friendly and very thorough.
As we live out of state, it is comforting to know that my father has an excellent and honest electrician to call if he should have any future issues.

Shannon was the electrician used by our contractor when we were adding a room to our house before we moved in.  That's how we met him and we've never called anyone else.  He has installed wall sockets, switches, a chandelier, and track lighting in this same home.  He's tracked GFI's and the outlets they're connected to for us, installed a high-capacity charging station for the car, installed our pendant office lights on a slanted beam, and put in motion-sensors for us outdoors.  He'll ring when he's done and say, Oh, I also noticed this...so I fixed it, too.  He's as knowledgeable and dependable as the day is long.  We're grateful; electrical problems are just something we don't have to worry about now with SCP.

Shannon deserves 6 stars for his work to replace a 40-year-old electrical panel at our home. The extra star is because he went way above and beyond to get the job done. Shannon walked us through the process, which included scheduling an appointment with Southern California Edison to shut off our power, inspect his work and turn the power back on. While this sounds like a straightforward process, SCE took forever to get back to Shannon to schedule the work. But Shannon didn't give up. He found out that there were several SCE personnel changes in our area, which was the reason for the hold up. Shannon continued to follow-up with SCE until they finally committed to a time. He installed the new panel yesterday. In addition, Shannon's estimate was comprehensive and fair. We had other bids on this project and two other electricians gave us inflated estimates and were not willing to give us a breakdown on the cost of parts. Shannon's dedication to getting the job done, his polite demeanor, his knowledge and skill are all reasons why we will call SCP in the future for our electrical needs.

Shannon was extremely professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. He came for same day service even though it was not an emergency. He provided a basic quote over the phone and it was exactly what I was charged at the end of the service. He explained everything he was doing and why. He found the problem, which was complicated, and solved it very efficiently. I will definitely be calling him for our future electrical needs and I recommend you do the same.

I rarely write reviews, but I use them often to choose services, restaurants, etc., and the service and quality of work I received from Shannon at SCP Electrical was so great, that I thought I would let others know about him.  I got Shannon's info from Service Magic originally, but another electrician called within seconds of my placing a request and since it was an emergency, I went with the other guy.  Shannon called me within a minute of the first guy and I was so impressed with his personality on the phone that I saved his contact information and thought that if I needed anything else electrical done during our remodel, I would give him a call.  Well, after we had our new appliances installed, the installer told me not to use our new wall oven/microwave combo until I called an electrician out to change the fuse at the breaker box from 50 amps to 30 amps.  I gave shannon a call, we set up a time and day and he gave me a quote that I felt was fair.  He showed up on time and even did a little extra for me at no extra charge.  While he was there, I asked him if he would be able to wire our TVs so that we could hang then on the walls; the cable outlets were on completely different walls from where we wanted the TVs to be.so that meant the cable and electrical would have to be routed to the areas where we actually wanted to mount the TVs.  He looked at the situation and said it was something he could do and that he would send me an email with a cost.  He did that within a couple of days and again, I thought the price was fair considering what all needed to be done.  When the day came, he again showed up on time and worked through the day to get the wiring and installation of 3 TVs finished.  They look amazing and we're enjoying them.  I've run across a couple of other small issues and am in the process of setting up another appt. with Shannon to take care of them.  I'm sure you've all made appts with service people who either don't show up or show up very late, don't do quality work, leave a mess and charge an arm and a leg.  Shannon did none of these things.  He is on time, reliable, courteous and cleans up after himself.  If you need any electrical work done, give Shannon a call; you won't be disappointed.
