I hired this company about 2 weeks ago to fix a broken main circuit breaker. I paid over $400 for the emergency work and materials. One week later, the replacement circuit breaker that they provided was broken again on Christmas Day. There was not enough time to even get a new one. Call the company both days regarding the failure, and they never picked up the phone.

It is super unprofessional and unreliable, I would not hire this company again.

Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

Joe came out to provide me a estimate for a panel upgrade and add a extra 220 outlet for brewing equipment and was very professional.

Waiting for SCE to approve the upgrade was a nightmare, but then again it was due to covid-19.

The install took place a few days ago, crew showed up, did the work, cleaned up, explained the process, let us know when the power was going to be turned off, and was very professional and respectful. will definitely recommend to anyone!

I called to have an electrician fix a ceiling fan problem I had in my house. The person I spoke to on the phone got me an appointment quick. I was told the owner was coming. The gentleman showed up and 1. Acres like he didn't want to really be here 2. Fixed the problem but didn't fix it very efficiently or the way I explained it, and 3. He case another problem! The fan and light will not turn off!! As soon as I turn the fan and light on, it won't shut off! The remote to the fan isn't functioning properly either. It's turned into a bigger mess I've called and left a message but I've received no response from the company. I paid $135 for another problem. I'm very disappointed.

I called at 10:20 a.m. and was given the excuse that the appt. was between 9-11 a.m. and did I want him to come or not, because he was on his way. I immediately said NO. Just bought a house , was quoted 4-6 thousand for an upgraded electrical panel and we contacted Sonner Electric . Joe came out and told us that if we could move things around then we can add my Dryer and my EV car to the current panel . Great company, honest, puntual, profesional and they will not rip you off like other companies do and this is the reason why I called Mr Sonner I saw all the good reviews in here and gave him a call to fix some of my outlets that didn't work, he came and took care of the problem and gave me other recommendations, I thought that I was going to pay a lot of money and to my surprise it was reasonable he took his time to find the issue and I really appreciate all he did, from now on he will be the one that I will be calling and will definitely recommend them to my family and friends. we had an appointment on July 19 2021 with a appointment window of 10-2, now, an appointment window of 4 hrs. is not something we normally do, but we did it, because we saw some good reviews. We waited the 4 hrs. and no one showed up, that was a big waste of 4 hrs. that we could have been productive doing something else. we didnt even receive a call, letting us know that they were not coming. Sonner Electric is very unprofessional, and lost all of our future business, we only give our hard earned money to companies that are reliable!!!!!

After having Joe Sonner, owner of Sonner Electric, out to inspect the home for which we are in escrow, it's easy to see why his company has a 5-star Yelp rating. He did a great job answering our questions about the home's electric and he verified what needs to be done. He didn't make us feel like he was rushing through just to get paid and leave.

I will say this to all those who are in the process of buying a home in the AV and surrounding communities: If your home inspector recommends an electrical inspector, plumbing inspection, chimney inspection, take the advice to heart and do so. For that matter, even if the sellers already had X, Y or Z repairs made, do your own due diligence and bring in a licensed professional such as Joe Sonner to verify the work.

I hit home runs here on Yelp in locating fantastic professionals in the AV to work with for various home inspections (see my other reviews if you're in escrow and are in search of professionals with whom to work). Joe Sonner makes a good first impression and is the kind of professional you will want back out at your house (and you all know what I mean when I say there are a lot of people in various trades who don't give a good vibe). There's no question who we will hire if the purchase of the home for which we are in escrow goes through: Sonner Electric!

I called Sonner Electric for an electrical problem on one of my rentals in Lancaster, we made an appointment but they fail to show up, I called that night to complaint and they returned my call right away apologizing for the incident and assured me the next day will be there on time. Not only they were on time but they fixed the problem and the best part is they didn't charge me for the repairs to make up for the inconvenience of the previous day. Talking about customer service, I will definitely recommend this company to all my friends and clients.

I scheduled an appointment for an estimate with Sonner Electric and he confirmed with me a time, he said 2:30pm-3:30pm. 3:45 pm came along and no called and no electrician to be insight. So I called and I said are you close or stuck in traffic I had an appointment at 2:30pm. He said whats your name, I informed him and he said oh well whats your address..... I gave it to him again and he said okay ill send someone there in 15 minutes. That was unprofessional and unexceptionable. I work in the appointment and customer industry and this is a very bad no..no. He didnt care to send someone on time to a confirmed appointment and made me wait an hour for someone, if I hired him (which I will not) how do I know they would care enough to do the work properly and be on time.

As first time homeowners and not being too familiar with the area we don't have a go to person for any house repairs that we may need. Naturally, I went on Yelp & did my research. Based on excellent reviews, I chose Sonner & they did not dissappoint.
1. Joe responded very quickly to my questions.
2. We were able to schedule an appointment for service that was convenient to us.
3. The electrician that came out (didn't get his name, wish I did) was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and went above & beyond. Not only did he fix the issue we initially called for (recessed lights & light fixture not turning on in one room) but he also grounded a couple of outlets for us.

Called Sonner Electric our power had gone out to the entire house. Joe called back right away and he was available in the afternoon to help us. We blew a big fuse and new it. He came out assessed the problem. He didn't have the parts so he made some calls to find them and off he went. He came back shortly and got us back up. I had a previous tenant who was very dishonest and installed an illegal breaker on my rental house to bypass the meter so she could get free A/C, so I called Sonner and within 10 mins after his arrival the breaker was removed and all the illegal wiring gone and now my house/electrical panel is back to square one!

Absolutely love this company! I had just purchased a house and was a bit nervous about hiring an electrician to replace an old light with a new one. I was concerned that it would be costly and that I may be taken advantage of, because I do not know very much about electrical issues. I bought a light for my front porch area, to replace an old bulky one that was there. The owner that answered the phone was so nice and was able to give me an estimate of what it would cost over the phone. He sent his guys over that same day! They were so nice! They did the job efficiently and cleaned up the area afterward. I was so happy with the job they did, I went out that day and bought three more lights to be changed out. I called Sonner again and got the owner. His guys were already out on a job, so the owner actually came out himself and put in the three lights I had just bought. I couldn't believe how quickly I was able to get an appointment to have my work done. Not only that, but the price was incredibly reasonable! I appreciated his honesty, his kindness, and his great work! I used to feel so intimidated by having to hire someone to fix something that is electric at my house, knowing that some companies will take advantage of the fact that I am a woman. Now, I feel confident that I can call this company and know I am being treated fairly and I can expect great work to be done, at a very reasonable cost! Thank you! Awesome experience on my end.....gave sonner a call and a Sonner came out within the hour! I even live on the far eastside, while sonner is located on the westside. I wanted an outlet added on each side of my garage and thought it'd be pretty pricey. The quote I was given was so reasonable I wanted to schedule installation right away! Even better, Mr. Sonner looked in his truck, had the materials with him, and knocked it out in no time flat! One happy customer right here! I would like to thank Joe from Sonner Electric for such a quick response.
We were retrofitting 5-6 inch ceiling lights from 4 pin bulbs to led lights.
18 lights of which 7 needed the 4 pin socket removed and rewired, not being great with electric stuff we turned the circuit breaker off and on each time we cut wires and rewired. Of course on the last light the circuit breaker was either tripped or failed.
We called Sonner Electric and Joe answered, I explained what the breaker was doing or not doing and within 30 to 45 minutes Joe was at the house checked the breaker, replaced the breaker all in about 15 minutes.
We were back in business.

We would recommend Sonner Electric for all your electrical needs...........

Lost power to half my house. Called Sonner late on a Monday and Joe was here before our scheduled appointment the next morning which was a plus. He went room to room and inspected our main panel thoroughly including checking wiring on room outlets. Found the problem at our main panel which ended up being a bad wiring installation from our solar panel company we contracted. Definitely recommend Sonner if you need an experienced Electrician.

Originally we were very dissatisfied for the extra charges and made a promise not to ever go back.
HOWEVER, our rep. Joe contacted us an hour after we paid and explained that they overcharged us and reimbursed our money.

Let's start with the fact that Joe missed our original appointment, for an estimate on getting our kitchen lights replaced. Things happen, but he called the next day, and came over. His pricing was reasonable, so we thought, once we have our funds in order, we'll give him a call. Very glad we did. Our new lights are great. They all work, which for us hasn't happened, since we bought our house. The team that was here did a great job, especially since our lights were a mess. We are looking, in the future, for more electrical work to be done. We'll be asking Sonner back to work on our next project. Very happy with the work that was done. My husband got a quote from the owner to install an 220 volt 16 amp outlet to quick charge his Chevy Volt in the garage. Scott showed up on time and was ready to start. He was friendly and efficient and completed the job in the time frame he said he would. I had mentioned I needed some light bulbs changed at a very hard to reach fixture at the top of the stairs and also wanted him to check out our master bathroom as we had a loose wiring issue with the vanity lights. Not only did Scott look at the issue, he fixed it. He quickly found a loose connection behind the light fixture in the vanity and snipped and reconnected it. Good as new. He then grabbed a ladder and changed the lightbulbs on the landing by the stairs. I asked him what the extra costs would be and he said there wouldn't be any. Really pleased with how he went above and beyond. So appreciate his thoughtfulness. Will be sure to use Sonner Electric again if we need anything as well as refer out. Had me worried at first but at the end turned out to be great service! Had them scheduled to come out on Monday but i got a call that they will be two hours late which was no problem but after the two hours ended up being a little longer like close to 4 hours with no call I was worried that they was going to flake but we talked and I changed it to the next day, they came out and did an incredible job not only did they do the job that I was quoted for they also threw in a couple extra light fixtures and happened to just fix my front door!! They also told my wife if she would like to replace the front door light just go and get it and they will install it for free, they ended up having great customer service and I recommend them to anyone in the Lancaster area great job thank you

Needed another outlet for garage 'fridge and my doorbell transformer needed replacement. Good phone communication, quick and on time. Did the work in 20 mins flat and price was reasonable. I would recommend/refer to anyone I know. Great experience.

We needed a breaker replaced, our A/C was going off and the temperature outside was 98 degrees.

We needed some electrical items repaired in our office. My first stop is always YELP to see what others in our local community have to say. It was clear to me SONNER ELECTRIC was the best choice. True to their words they called me back within one hour. Joe said he'd be here about 8-8:30 the next morning and was right on time as promised. He assessed the situation within minutes, provided a quote and returned a few hours later with parts and handled all of our needs. JOB WELL DONE! I've been using Sonner for a few years and have always had a wonderful experience. They have installed three brand new ceiling fans for me and also some lighting in my kitchen that I recently remodeled. I'm always amazed by the great customer service that they offer. I appreciate them cleaning up after themselves, and always installing my items in a timely manner. I have recommended this company to many of my friends and family. I won't be calling anyone else for my electrical needs.

Excellent response from Joe and his crew. I called after hours, desperate for help. I must admit, I called a few other local electricians first, no answer. My husband and I have used Sonner Electric three times now. Twice with our rental and once with our home. It doesn't matter who comes out whether its Joe or Scott they are very personable, professional, timely and priced right. What was most refreshing is to deal with honest contractors that won't charge you for unnecessary things. We have had them fix a light switch to rewiring under a cabinet for an appliance, and bringing our rental up to code. Our next venture will be to add lighting to our tennis court-can't wait! I highly recommend them.

Great customer service is something that isn't easy to find in this industry and Joe provides it in spades. I called Joe to fix a ceiling light in a property that i manage. My tenants said it wasn't the bulb that was the issue as they replaced it with a new bulb and it still didn't turn on. Turns out that the new bulb was faulty and it was a bulb issue. My tenants were embarrassed as was i when i found out. Joe didn't make a big deal of it and was actually sympathetic. He also didn't charge me. Will be using him in the future. Thank you Joe!

Came out to research a faulty 220v line for a dryer. Fixed the faulty ground connection.

They also trouble shot two GFCI issues, and then I had them install two additional GFCI plugs.

Scott was professional and courteous.

I will call them again when I have more work for them.

Loved working with this guy! I needed someone to do a couple things at my mom's house because we are going to be selling it. He was flexible with his schedule and came on a Saturday, he was on time and easy to work with. You know how some guys come out, look at the job and kind of whine a little and act like it is going to be really complicated in order to increase the price, not Sonner! I had a bathroom light with an exhaust fan that my contractor swore could not be wired for both the light and the exhaust to work. It literally took him 10-15 minutes to fix it, NO PROBLEM!! I was in shock! He also put up a big ceiling fan on a vaulted ceiling for $90.00! This was the best quote and he was awesome! He even did a couple extra things (for free) that we asked because we did not have a ladder tall enough! Competent, fair price and easy to work with!!!!

After a slight slip in early discussions which was totally an honest mistake Joe and his team completed the job with stellar performance. Friendly, honest, great work, right on the money and right on time. I think this is very unusual in the construction trade so it is much appreciated. So, I live in west Lancaster. I can do a lot on my own, but when it comes to electricity, I suck. I took a dive and asked Sonner Electric to come out and add several additional outlets in my garage. They also hooked up LED lighting in my garage as well. Joe and his partner came out and knocked it all out in one day. Joe was very courteous and so was his partner. Just wanted to make this post finally about a great experience with this great company. I called Joe the owner and explained to him that I needed a row of can lights looked at and possibly repaired. He set me up for this past Tuesday at 3pm and was really looking forward to the arrival of the technician arriving after having bad experiences with other companies not even showing. When the tech arrived he asked a couple questions and also took a couple of readings and within minutes he found the problem to be a loose wire only. He charged me a very reasonable price and fixed it within minutes after squirming through a very tight attic space to get to the wire. I was so happy to have the lights fixed and working wonderfully. I will be using him very shortly to install ceiling fans in all of my rooms. Will definitely recommend this company to others.

I called Sonner Electric to schedule an appointment at my house for some flickering lights. He responded by scheduling for the next morning. Joe Sonner, the owner, came on time, was very professional and easy going. I had some loose wires in my circuit breaker box. He fixed them quickly. Then I asked him about another problem I had with my kitchen fluorescent lights, and he was able to fix them, too. He even had to go to the store to purchase new light bulbs because mine were burned out. I really appreciated his effort and patience. His price was very fair as well. I am very happy with his service, and will certainly call him again the next time. He has lived in this area for a long time, so he will be around. Great experience!

We needed a plug installed in our garage for our electric vehicle. Sonner electric got us on their schedule within a week and had the job done within an hour. They were quick, competent, and reasonably priced. We were very happy and would definitely recommend them. The only minor complaint is that they didn't arrive for the estimate anywhere near their window, and didn't call to tell me they were on their way. But this was a very minor inconvenience and their expertise and competitive pricing more than made up for that.

After calling numerous electricians sonner electric were the only ones to send someone out right away and give a fair price for the work that needed to be done . Our motion detector bathroom light switch went out and we had no power to our bathroom. I called Joe Sonner at 11 and he was at my house at 12:15 on a Saturday. He fixed the switch quickly and while he was here he fixed another problem we had in our garage. Prices were very reasonable and the quality of work was top notch. Definitely will be having them do all my electrical work in the future.

These guys are awesome. Called them in the afternoon and they came out within the hour. They were professional and got right to work. Within 15 min found and fixed the problem which ended up being a loose ground wire. Could have burned our house down. They pretty much saved our home. I definitely recommend these guys.
