Used them twice recently, 1st to replace my water heater and 2nd to replace a sink faucet. Work was done properly, price was great. I was quoted $320 to replace my faucet by another yelp recommendation, they did it for $150. Will be my go to from now on.
Had a clogged bath sink that I had tried to snake first but the pipes were large pvc glued at the joints and didn't wanted to destroy them nor had right tools for better access to the clogs.
Ended up taking out some gunk out while pushing the rest further down the drain.
This where I had to do a cost/benefit analysis of whether to invest in hundreds of dollars for better tools, getting correct type of brass replacement pipes easier to work with and twisting my fragile back into a pretzel.
Not too happily, decided to ask Yelp for available plumbers near me and was solicited by 6 good companies (Yelp was awesome in this case by the way).
Selvin won my biz bc of his availability and his super polite mannerism.
He showed up on time and replaced pipes w brass ones and drained it in less than hour. The price was very reasonable as I have a good ideal on what the going rate is.
I also like it that I think Selvin himself does most if not all of the jobs himself instead of sitting around the office/home/beach directing his harem of on-call plumbers.
Selvin provided 30 days of guarantee and confidant he will stand behind his work but 1 thing he could improve on is to provide written receipt wo being asked for one.

I initiated service call on a Sunday and received a response within 5 minutes to provide service. I ended up having the work done on the following day. Selvin and his assistant arrived exactly on time as plan. Before they entered the home, he assessed that he and his assistant needed to put on cleanroom shoe covers. Aside form listening to my explanation of the leak and drain problem, Selvin carefully examined and assessed the problems and took the least costly and most likely approach to repairing the toilet leak always maintaining himself in both a professional and courteous manner. He reassured me only the method that would solve the leak problem would be charge and not on diagnosing possibilities. After he introduce new parts to service that toilet tank that solve the leak, he quickly moved onto the shower drain. His persistent effort in clearing out the drain took great effort but he did managed to free the drain from being clogged. To sum up: quick, effective, professional, and affordable.
Excellent! He should up on time and was very thorough. Explained everything very clearly. The pricing was a little confusing as I added one more thing to do it was another $125. All in, it was a very good deal and I highly recommend them.

Our kitchen sink stopped draining all of a sudden, and after an evening of trying to work out the problem I realized that I needed professional plumbers' help. The problem was a clogged drain somewhere further down than the 25 ft snake I had at hand. Selvin Plumbing came to help, they provided the best price out of the 4 plumbers I contacted in the space of an hour. I hired them for the job and did not regret my decision. On day one Selvin use a snake as long as 75 ft but couldn't get the blockage to clean out. On day two he arrived with a team and the three of them got straight to cutting the drain open, installing a new cleanout for this drain. They used a camera and diagnosed that the problem was deposit buildup in our 2 drain - it appeared it had never been cleaned before. They went on to use a jetter to clean the pipe, and the drain started working like new! They cleaned up, made sure to seal the cleanout and made everything look nice. Thanks for a job well done!

I used Yelp's quote service after another plumber was a no show, and Selvin was the fastest to respond. They quoted me a price to install my new kitchen faucet within 2 hours. They showed up on time and charged me the exact price. They set expectations for the work they would do up front. Then I asked them to fix a bathroom fixture too, and the quoted me another price and fixed it on the spot. Even better they cleaned up the work site when they were finished (even though most of the mess was there before they got there). I think that's the sign of true professionals. I would definitely recommend them for future work.

Excellent service. From the moment I requested a quote, I never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a response through Yelp messaging. Based on the information I provided they gave me an expected rate (the other vendors I tried to get a quote from, they said they would do a free on-site estimate). I didn't want to risk a bait and switch with these other vendors so I went with Selvin who at least gave an estimate over the phone. Alex from Selvin arrived right on time to the minute. He immediately saw we were a no-shoe house and put on some disposable booties and put them on/off every time he went through the door - the little things are always a nice touch. He then proceeded to diagnose the situation and begin fixing. I asked if he could also fix a cracked pipe in the same assembly and he had the parts and gave me an estimate. He fixed both efficiently and held to the same estimate - no surprises. Along the way, he tightened a few loose bolts in the other sink. Great service.
Bad smell coming from crawl space. Possible sewer pipe break. Called Selvin. Prompt, on the spot service. Came when they said. Thorough. They spent 40 mins checking the house. Turns out the smell was from a dead rat so we didn't need repairs. But we will use them in the future. Give them a try. They deserve it.

I have an old condo in Daly City and because of it I have worked with many plumbing and rooter services. I have to say I finally found one one that I can rely on and trust. I contacted Selvin for replacing the existing toilet with a new one. The price he gave me including the removal of toilet was very fair. Have to add great and timely communication. He even showed up sooner than me to the job...this was the first time I hired a plumbing service and they showed up on time...but guess what, because of an issue with HOA he couldn't do the job that day although he had already booked the time for it. He was extremely understanding and accommodating. He booked another appointment for me and again showed up before me. They changed a valve, changed the toilet, removed the toilet and silicon sealed tHe bottom in less than 45min. Plumbing S.W.A.T team!

had a small emergency toilet clog that I couldn't deal with myself. They responded immediately to the quote request via yelp. Amazing! we quickly negotiated that they would arrive in the morning. I really appreciated that they texted instead of calling since I block all calls by unknown numbers. too many spam calls these days am i right? So they said they'd show up at a time and holy smokes they were bang on time. Very much appreciated and very unusual for service industry in general. They quickly diagnosed the issue and tried a lower cost resolution before immediately jumping to something that would have required more labor. PROBLEM SOLVED in less than 30 minutes. I am super happy with the service and would happily call them again and recommend them to both friend and stranger.
Upstairs toilet was leaking thru the garage ceiling below. Sent a quote request to Selvin and he replied quickly. It's the day after Christmas and I really didn't expect such promptness! He said he would send a team out to do a free estimate in the afternoon but that time didn't work for me. He quickly adjusted his time and the guys were here on the dot! They found the issue right away, explained how it needed to be fixed and gave me a reasonable quote. As they entered the home, they put on booties, they had floor coverings ... There was nothing I had to clean afterwards. I saw how good (and fast!) they were and asked if they could accommodate an additional request -- a clogged bathroom sink. Best reasonable quote and the quality of work is excellent! Called them to replace my sewer drain pipe which recently made me question why I was calling plumbers to clean out more often than usual. Found out since the drain pipe was clay it has been compromised due to age and stress of tree roots. Called Selvin for a 3rd estimate and he was very reasonable compared to others and saved me a lot of money. He is not one of the big well-known plumbing companies. I found him here on Yelp. Observing them throughout the process I found that they really take pride in their work. Selvin also went above and beyond and reinstalled the tiles on the stairway where he needed to access the damaged pipe. After close to completion of work and after it was done they were very thorough in cleaning up. I would highly recommend Selvin to anyone that needs this type of service.

Highly recommend. I posted that I needed help fixing a broken water heater at 7:45am. They came by around 9:30am, gave me a quote and fixed it all by 10am. Will call them again if anything plumbing or water heater issues come up again.
Came right away on short notice and provided valuable service and gave excellent quote estimate for my sink. These guys answer their phone which is quite extraordinary nowadays.

We had an issue with our kitchen faucet and after reaching out to Selvin Plumbing on Yelp, they responded within 15 min. They said they could come out the same day between 11 and noon. Prompt, clean, excellent value and friendly customer service! I was lucky to find Selvin Plumbing & Rooter on a Sunday morning. I'd been on vacation and came home to a clogged kitchen sink. Selvin, the owner, answered my text, calling me within 60 seconds! Selvin and his uncle Damios were at my home within 45 minutes flat! A spiffy van pulled up and they were both very professional and polite. Selvin and Damios performed the repair within minutes and cleaned everything up really nice. While working, Selvin educated me about preventative maintenance, I'd never heard of before, to avoid having to call him or another plumber to unclog my sink ever again! He even recommended a different strainer that works much better than the metal one I have. Besides being very attentive to get the job done soon as possible and a very professional and friendly attitude (he really loves what he's doing) Selvin was glad to share some secret tips of his trade useful to a home owner. Selvin also didn't charge me extra for the Sunday service. :) Selvin and Damios cleaned things up taking care to minimize the usual messes that happen when snaking a clogged drain, showing above average respect. Selvin fixed our jacuzzi, toilets and other sundry items in the bathroom. He and his assistant spent the whole day and were very pleasant to communicate with. Selvin charged us a very very fair price and we are very happy with his services.

Selvin was fantastic - I have a wall mounted kitchen faucet and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out where to get a nice replacement quickly (not the cheap version that seemed to be all that big box stores had in stock) and needed a plumber to install it - Mr. Selvin picked up the phone immediately and by the evening had sent me links to a couple places to purchase a faucet and also provided an estimate - I was able to buy one of the faucets he suggested the next day and two days later it was installed. Mr. Selvin charged me at the low end of the estimate. The whole experience was very good.

If I could give 10 stars, I definitely would! My experience with Selvin Plumbing was top notch. My shower knob broke on a Saturday (of course) and I had appointments I could not miss. I called Selvin Plumbing and he arrived in 30 min! I wouldn't expect that every time - I think I had good timing. Regardless, Selvin was EXTREMELY professional and fair priced. I have nothing but great things to say about him. When my next plumbing issue happens, he will be my first call.

Selvin and his crew are amazing. They came out on a Saturday night and worked so hard to find my leak. I felt like their attitude was a determination to find my leak and restore running water back into my house as soon as possible to avoid further inconvenience to my family. for that I give them 5 stars if not more! Selvin also clearly knows what he's doing and really understands his job. He's a great guy who takes his job and the situation at hand seriously. After 3.5 hours of jackhammering concrete, disconnecting a water heater and digging 3 holes (in freezing rain and winds) he found the leak and returned first thing in the morning to fix it with the appropriate parts. He also went above and beyond and patched back all the concrete we had to dig up. Definitely not a plumbers job but yet well done. Again, he went above and beyond just to make sure we had running hot and cold water asap! Trustworthy, hard working, determined, conscientious. I would definitely use him again for anything, even a large scale remodel. Highly recommend, he's now on my speed dial. Selvin's pricing is also honest and reasonable.
I have dual Kitchen Sink clogged. They gave an in person free quote to me and fixed it in 10 minutes after I accept that reasonable price. My house don't have external clean out but they are still able to snake it through vents.
Our shower, bath tub and garage sink would flood with rust water whenever we would use the the bathroom & kitchen sinks in our house. We would literally have to bail out water to prevent over flow.
Selvin was the second plumber we called. He came the same day and had a mask on (thankfully). He checked out the bathroom, garage sink and went into the crawl space. He immediately knew the problem and provided an estimate. We received three more estimates, all saying different things with different prices. Two of which wouldn't even check the crawl space without an additional fee. I felt comfortable choosing based on his no-nonsense approach, immediate diagnosis and review. It was a Friday when I gave him the go-ahead and he came the NEXT day. On Saturday! He immediate go to work replacing our pipes in the crawl space. We needed to replace three. The pricing was fair. He completed the job that same day and all of our sinks, shower and tub worked like normal! I am a very happy customer and will recommend him.

Highly recommended for any plumbing issues. Requested to have someone come to the house to provide a free estimate on a Sunday evening; Alex came on Monday at 8am; provided a very reasonable quote and beat the prices of other plumbing companies we contacted. It was a two-day job to excavate in the crawl space and replace the pipes; they did a great job. Everything was clean and properly installed and they were all professional and very courteous.
Will definitely hire them again for future plumbing concerns.
We bought a new washing machine and the discharge volume and pressure was too much for our old galvanized drain pipe. I contacted several plumbers, including Selvin. I got the usual response from most of them that someone would come out during a two hour window convenient for them (I guess they think my time isn't worth anything). Selvin agreed to come out at 7:00 one morning before I had to leave for work. At exactly 7:00 a.m. our doorbell rang. Within 20 minute he was under our house, assessed the problem, gave me a quote that was cheaper that all of the old established plumbers, and promised to be at my house at 8:30 the following Monday morning to replace the drain pipe and one other one I was having problems with. He showed up right on time with two of his people and all three of them worked hard to fix the problems. They were done in about four hours (this was no easy task with a lot of the work being done under the house) and did an excellent job. I highly recommend Selvin and they will certainly be our go-to plumber if we have another problem.

Who do you call when you need helping with a plumbing issue on New Year's Day? The answer is Selvin. I literally called a few other places and they were closed. This morning as I drank my morning coffee our kitchen sink faucet completely exploded and fell apart. Dang! Sink is super important, I have to get it fixed quickly! Selvin plumbing came at 1130am and worked for an hour to remove my old busted faucet and install a new one I had picked up at Discount Builders. Voila! Looks great and now we have a sink again! Plumber was professional - on time, wore a mask and even had those little shoe booties to keep our floor clean from his boots. Would recommend!!!

I received several quotes from many plumbers but selected Selvin based on the responsiveness for estimate, clear and confident approach, and small family business versus a larger company.
I'm happy with my interactions with Selving and Alex (brothers). The job was done on time and within budget. They explored any assumptions to ensure there was no uncertainties. Additionally, their job was neat and clean according to code.
I recommend for jobs. Mine was a laundry hook up involving extending a gas line. Update the water and drain.

Selvin did an excellent job fixing a nasty clog in my tub. He arrived on time, stuck with the job until it was done, and cleaned up after himself. I was particularly impressed by his perseverance and good humor. Would call again.
I had my skepticism in the beginning because Selvin (the owner) didn't have those fancy quote sheets (like other water heater companies i also asked for an estimate) to jot down in detail a list of work will be done on the quote he gave me. But I am so glad I went with his service over others. Here is why.
1) He is very considerate
2) He is very responsive
3) He is a local small business owner that I want to help support.
4) He handles all his work or supervises closely step by step which tells me quality of work is ensured and correct
5) Super reasonable/affordable pricing and would not let you overspend if not necessary
6) His work is super clean and very professional
7) Answers/explains all my questions and concerns
8) Prompt with updates if he is running late
9) Good customer service, even explained how to flush out the water heater to maintain without needing to spend on that kind of service.
With all that being said, I will definitely hire him again on my next project or repairs.

I needed a plumber to come on a Sunday morning and get our sinks and toilet working as we had just moved back in our family home and somehow things weren't operating as they should. I got a reply within about 15-20 minutes from my initial request for a quote and a plumber came out within an hour. He was able to fix all the initial issues mentioned as well as the drainage in the tub with the quote provided, all in a timely manner. I will definitely be using them again if an issue arises!

Recently we moved into a house that had a lot of deferred maintenance. The very first time we tried to use the kitchen sink, it immediately was filled with standing water. We have a drum auger but it was just not cutting it. Selvin was able to come over right away, no extra fees, and completely clean out the line.
We have since had a bathroom sink that needed a new drain and pipes, as well as had Selvin install a dishwasher in our kitchen. Each time he has been extremely responsive, professional and very reasonably priced. Very happy to have found a plumber for our new home.

Selvin helped us out with our main pipe that was 100% clogged. They did and awesome job, very prices and clean. They were also priced very reasonably and I would be happy to use them again.
Our pipe under the sink blew up and they came right away to give me a quote for a difficult job. He had to go do another estimate and then came back and completed the job. They worked quickly and did a great job getting my kitchen sink back up and running. I will be calling them for any other plumbing repairs I need in the future.
So far been great! Still waiting on an inspection as Permits is closed. Alex has been really nice to work with and they are available which is great.
We had a rusted gas and water pipe that needed to be fixed and a water heater to move and went to a few shops to get quotes. Selvin was one of the first to respond and came the next morning on a weekend to give a free estimate (which not all places were willing to do). His price was reasonable and was okay scheduling a weekend day for the job to accommodate my schedule. I highly recommend Selvin's services. His over 10 years of experience shined when we asked him to come diagnose a leaking pipe in our home. Alex and Selvin are awesome! Great prices, very prompt, professional, and courteous. I reached out to them at 6pm and they come out by 8am the next morning! They can easily handle snaking drains/sinks. My problem was bigger though due to construction debris (wood) in the pipe itself. Highly recommend Selvin plumbing for the professional and timely fixes to our plumbing issues. I called them after another plumbing company (Wizard Plumbing, San Mateo) left us with a leaking pipe and improperly installed p-trap ( we spent $2000 on services with Wizard that didn't fix the issue at all, in fact created more leaks)
I am so glad I reached out to Selvin, he arrived on time, gave a very reasonable estimate and fixed the issue immediately. The work was very clean, he explained what was done incorrectly by the previous plumber and even fixed the stucco after installing the new drain pipe. Selvin is great. They provided a quote very quickly, beat out prices from everyone else, and had our water heater changed out the next morning on a Saturday (after initiating the quote at 8pm the night before).
Selvin was also very courteous, professional, and quick about the install.

I hired Selvin Plumbing to install a water heater. I was not in a rush, so I asked him to provide me with estimates for tankless and standard water heater installations. His estimates were very reasonable for both types of installations.
I had him remove my standard 40 gallon water heater and replace it with a better model. He got the job done in approximately 2 hours.
While he had an excellent price and estimate for the tankless install, it was just not in the cards for us this time around.
I chose Selvin because he was professional, his price estimates were fair and his installation and knowledge was excellent.
I would hrecommend Selvin Plumbing to anyone looking for a full service plumber.

On 05/15/19 I hired Selvin Plumbing to replace a broken garbage disposal. He was easy to communicate with, set up a time to stop by and was able to replace the existing garbage disposal with a new one in under an hour.
Before leaving, they made sure to test all the connections for leaks and as expected, the job was done very well. The professionalism, quality of work and reasonable prices are why I continue to always recommend Selvin Plumbing and Rooter to others.
Selvin plumbing is the go to plumbing company. Selvin, the owner, recommended the least intrusive method to cure my problem. I believe another company would have gone to the more expensive choice. Very responsive and I feel ethical. Highly recommend this coming

Selvin Perdomo is excellent! Our house had a broken pipe in the crawl space, Selvin diagnosed it quickly and repaired the issue! Also besides his excellent skills and service, he was also VERY HONEST and RELIABLE! He did not recommend any unnecessary additional charges and I appreciated that! We will for sure use him again and recommend my friends as well!
We had an issue in our bathroom where the shower didn't have hot water, but the separately standing bathtub plus bathroom sinks did have hot water. We previously hired another plumber to fix it, who after coming out and fixing it, did nothing at all and still charged us $500!
This time we called 3 companies to troubleshoot and provide estimates. The first company came in at more than double what Selvin quoted, and they were just going to open up the shower and charge us for exploratory troubleshooting. They had no idea what was wrong!
Alex from Selvin came at the same time as the 3rd company. Alex is the only one who actually turned on the shower in his assessment to understand what was going on. He told us what was wrong immediately, gave us a quote, and told us he could start the work right away. We didn't even ask plumber from the 3rd company for a quote; we were so impressed with Alex that we went with him and sent the other plumber on his way. Alex fixed everything quickly.
The day after, we had a toilet that was making a noise (after he had fixed it during his previous visit). We called, and he came out right away to take care of the issue.
We are so impressed with Alex at Selvin. He is now our go-to plumber!

Selvin helped me with tankless water heater installation and complete brand new bathroom water/drain plumbing. Also he completely changed gas pipe. I am very happy his work for the following reasons:
1) fair price for great job: I interviews a couple plumbers and I found Selvin the most reasonable price, later I was very impressed with his work quality and his dedication to do perfect job, he was working fo about two weeks with two of his employees
2) Ontime: he starts working at 8am and sometimes stays till 7pm. he is a hard working guy
3) professional: he knows the best material to use and the cheapest places to buy material. he always suggests ways to save material and of course money. His conduct is very professionally
4) dedication: I felt he is doing the job for his house, very thoughtful, minimize cost and deliver high quality work - he owns a family business and he really cares to leave a good impression

I had contacted One Source Plumbing and Rooter Inc. based on Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, he (Moe) was busy. He referred to me to Selvin Plumbing and Rooter.
I called and Alex answer. I explained that i have a leaking Toilet sewer pipe under the Toilet flooring. He made arrangement to come on the same day for inspection and estimate. He quoted a price, after seeing the work that was needed, he said he could start work the next day. He was very courteous and explained what needed to be done. I decided to proceed.
He came the next day. He removed an old lead pipe and replaced it with a cast iron drain pipe. He also added a brace to support the pipe and re-seated the toilet.
I am very please with his professionalism and detail to work. His co-worker cleaned up the area.
I would highly recommend Selvin Plumbing and would not hesitate to use his service in the future.

I had a clogged shower drain. It's a simple fix, just needed a snake to power through it. Sometimes, it's not that simple to get someone to your house right away to fix it though. But, Selvin answered the phone right away this morning, and was at my house to the rescue within 2 hours. I thought that the price was fair, as well.
Selvin, I have to say hands down is the most professional young man that I have met in a long time. A few months back I called him about a stopped up drain. He was quick to respond, quoted a reasonable price and had it fixed within minutes.
I was so satisfied that I have now called a second time for a busted water heater to be replaced. Having a flooded garage and no water, Two days before New Years, He answered the call on a Sunday evening and was out first thing the next morning. Again, the price quote was very reasonable. 3hrs later, I have a new water heater and running hot water again.
