I recently had several companies come out to provide an estimate to run conduits from my house to posts near my fence and install lights on the posts. I chose SD based on the estimate provided and the professionalism of their employees.

They went above and beyond on the job itself, even finding and correcting some other minor issues with wiring at my residence (it's an old house). I will be using SD for all my future needs.

I don't know where to start other than by stating that I am beyond impressed with this company. I dealt with the following 3 people, Nars and Leo by phone, and the final was Aaron, the electrician.
I cannot put one above the other as each one went way above and beyond all expectations in every area; professionalism, knowledgeable, respectful, courteous, just to name a few.
Clearly Nars and Leo established that vote of confidence to move forward with my fan installation (new install and wiring was needed) and I spoke to many companies but not one came close!
Truth be known I am quite finicky and I wanted that fan centered within the area of my living room set up, not the actual room but not a problem for Aaron, he measured it with precision with a very cool gadget I might add but wanted to make sure it was perfect and measured again old school. Really, I can't say enough about SD Electric Technologies, this company is a stand alone. If you want a job done right and very professionally, look no further, STELLAR will sum up your end results.

Leonardo and his talented team of electricians at SD Electric Technologies have done a wonderful job on our old house. From replacing the electrical panel to adding outdoor outlets and updating indoor outlets to GFCI, etc. they did it all! I find them very easy to work with. They showed up on time and completed work to our satisfaction, on budget, as quoted. Everyone on the team has a great attitude, worked well with other trades also at the house, and cleaned up after every job.

I'm very happy with SD electric! Originally I had them trouble shoot loss of power of electric outlets on a wall, but I also had them quote me for a panel upgrade (something that was recommended to me years ago). They came out the same day I called them to fix the loss of power and provided the estimate for panel upgrade at the same time. They did a great job, pricing was fair, and they were flexible on scheduling!

Summary: No called-no showed twice, sloppy workmanship, and possible code violation.

On the first day, neither electrician spoke English, making it difficult for either of us to ask questions and understand what was happening. day, SD Electric ended up misdiagnosing the problem as a bad circuit breaker. The circuit breaker they used as a replacement is clearly used and somehow looks much older than the 50-year-old breakers already installed. The problem returned that night.

I scheduled a second appointment and while SD Electric initially scheduled an quick follow-up appointment, they ended up not showing up without so much as a phone call. I reached out again and scheduled an appointment for another day and again, SD Electric no-called, no-showed. Once they finally showed up at the third appointment time, the new electrician found the issue was with the kitchen outlet.

SD Electric did a sloppy job replacing the outlet, leaving electrical tape hanging out of the front of the outlet. Finally, they also used a standard outlet on a kitchen countertop where I am fairly sure the electrical code requires a GFCI.

I really do recommend SD Electric Tech, but the thing that prevents me from giving 5 stars as opposed to the present 4 stars is just that the worker they sent out was literally unable to use GPS and read parking signs. It took me longer to direct the worker, including 3 calls to the main person, just to locate the worker who bizarrely parked in a fire zone 4 blocks from my house. The work done was great, but translation through phone calls was required. Regardless, I do recommend this company. They're fair and trustworthy.

Overdue review, I received an estimate from various companies including SDTecs. This company's quotes were comparable to all that i received to replace an old electrical panel. A few things stood out from the other quotes. Options, I asked a lot of questions and I always want options. They explained the process and after electing to file for my own permits to save some loot, they offered a good price fora 30 panel instead of a 20. I dont think ill ever use all of it but glad I am future proofing.

So I got the quote in Dec 2020 and it took me 6 months to get a permit through the City of San Diego's new online portal application. I kept in contact with the technician and answered my questions. They were patient with me and my estimate did not change after all that time.

Finally I was able to get a city inspector and SDGE line up on the same day. well, guess what, it starts raining in the morning when its all suppose to happen. its San Diego so i figured it would not last. I was correct. SDTecs asked me if i wanted to proceed or reschedule. I opted to proceed and glad I did, as it could have taken months to reschedule everyone. It took them a day to replace the entire panel taking the time to answer my questions as they came up. I wanted to know what does what. After it was all set and done they cleaned up and the city inspector came out a week later with no issues. Im confident this company's ability to complete any job you throw at it. The prices reflect the work they provide.

1. They responded right away and fit me in the same day. I had called another company and by the time that company called me back, the electrical inspection had been completed by SD Electric Technologies.

2. They are respectful and professional. The two gentlemen that came to the property were respectful and got right to work. They worked as a team and gave each other verbal information while also writing it down. They were thorough and did not miss a thing.

3. After they finished, they gave me an update and wrote down my possible to-do listed based on what electrical work I wanted done. They said they would get back to me with a written report and a quote and followed through.

4. The follow up has been excellent. Every time I have called, someone has answered and I also received a detailed report with pictures.

I highly recommend this company and plan on continuing to use it for my electrical needs.

If I could give these guys 10 stars I would. We purchased a home and it has an addition in the back the addition does not have lighting, and the wood roof makes it impossible to add recessed lights. We have had a few electricians and contractors come to our home to try and figure out a way to put up lighting without having cables and cords hanging all over the place. I found SD electric technologies here on yelp and realized I hadn't called them yet, so why not give them a shot. They were able to come out within a day, have a quote ready and offer me solutions on how we could get lighting up. Nars directed me with what type of lights to look for and answered all questions about our quote and any changes we needed to make. Was having a hard time isolating a GFCI issue and ended up needing to call in the pros. Did a quick Yelp search and saw great reviews for SD Electric Technologies on Labor Day and Nars was quick to offer services so we set up an appointment for Tuesday since my issue was not an immediate priority need.

Nars arrived in the window of time he quoted and immediately got to work. He quickly addressed the issue and squared everything away in short order.

We had a few outlets that were out and our bathroom light was out. They came in on 1 day notice and troubleshot the issues we were having and within 2 hrs had the repair estimate ready and called to confirm the work. Once approved, they repaired the necessary items and all of our issues are now resolved. They were also able to troubleshoot and repair one our outdoor outlets that has been giving us issues for a while now. Great work and would refer and use them again in the future.

I picked SD Electric Technologies for help with my home's electric panel / circuit breakers, based on the company's Yelp ratings .... and very glad that I did.
When I first called, Nars was very attentive to my problem, regarding a room AC unit tripping the circuit breaker of the circuit it was plugged into. And when he (promptly) came to my house, he soon resolved the problem with an upgraded CB.

Leo and his crew are amazing. Professional and great communication.

I had to find a new electrician when I had one cancel the day before the job (panel replacement) was permitted. Leo and SD Electric Technologies, in short notice was able to schedule me in and get me booked. Unfortunately, since the previous electrician didn't schedule an inspection I had to reschedule with Leo, but no problem.

Leo then walked me through the step by step of the process for everything so I wasn't surprised by anything else. Permit application, permitting and scheduling he walked me through everything. I'll be getting more electrical work done and I'll be sure to call Leo and SD Electric Technologies!

Highly recommend.

They did such an amazing job last year with fixing and helping fit a new chandelier that we decided to reach back out for some more work.

This time around, they were able to replace four pendant lights with some recessed lighting and completely set and install two new pendants on a dimmer over our kitchen counter (was just ceiling before- so they had to route electrical somehow). They even patched the walls and ceilings and matched the wall texture with their patching.

They were prompt with their response and professional with their work, and they did it all fairly quickly on somewhat short notice. When we realized the new lighting we picked out wasn't a good color tone for our space at night, they even offered to help us replace it.

Again, couldn't be happier with them.

I definitely recommend SD Electric Technologies for electrical work. I needed to upgrade my 100 amp electrical panel to a 200 amp, solar ready panel. I called many electricians, but Leo from SD Electric Technologies gave me the best price for the work. In order to get the job done, the schedules between SDGE, the inspector, and the electrician had to be choreographed. Leo was able to take care of all the scheduling without any issues. Leo also took care of the permit that was needed. On the day of the upgrade, the electricians were on time and professional. They completed the work quickly and had my home powered up sooner than I was expecting. I will be contacting SD Electric Technologies again for other electrical work that I need.

Leo was very professional, responsive, and courteous. He was able to quickly come to my house and give me an estimate. I had a previous bad experience with an electrician falling through my drywall and leaving me with a mess. Leo did an outstanding job installing my new recessed light and dimmer switch. His nephew did such an amazing job on my drywall that you can't even see that it was repaired. They are also super careful and clean. They are honest and true to their estimate. Communication between the contractor and the client is key to establishing a sound relationship. Unfortunately, SD Electrict Technologies does not grasp the concept. I had an appointment with a 2 hour window for them to respond to a bid request to install electric meters on some rentals. You would think that since everyone is equipped with a cellphone, an inability to arrive on time would necessitate a courtesy call to the client. Not these guys!
I waited 2 and 1/2 hours and no show, no calls. When I finally contacted THEM, I received an immediate response: Sir..I had a fender bender, I'm on the way. (My dog ate my homework?). This is not the company I want to hire to install something as important as electric meters. Find someone that respects you and acknowledges your time is as valuable as theirs.

I decided to delete my original negative review. After writing it, the company contacted me via text to see what they could do to make things right. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and was willing to still work with them. We set up a time the following day and they were able to correct my electrical problems within a couple of hours. I received text messaged pictures of the problems and a receipt immediately after completion.

I was desperately in need of an electrician for my home- at 2:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. I called around numerous electrical companies (ones that were still active/open) and could not find one available.... Until I called SD Electric Technologies. Leonardo answered and asked what the problem was and the location. He arrived WITHIN 15 minutes of texting him my address. Once he arrived, I showed him my breaker panel outside and instantly he knew what the problem was, stated he has the 100 Amp circuit breaker in work vehicle and provided a quote within minutes. I agreed and he was done within 20 minutes. We went inside, tested and troubleshoot a few items and BINGO- problem resolved. Leonardo is the definition of a true professional and not only was efficient and prompt but after speaking with him I knew he knew what he was talking about Electrical wise! After 17 years, my water fountain pump needed to be replaced. I bought the pump, prepped the fountain, was about to swap it out, thinking it was an easy swap based on the general contractor who installed the original, 17 years ago but... I checked for a GFCI breaker or outlet for the new pump and NOTHING.

I was a little disappointed I had never checked the general contractors work, and was shocked my original pump was not hardwired to a GFCI outlet or breaker.

Enter Leo and his electrical team. They came when they said they would, gave me options, and provided an email for the estimate.

I approved, communication was clear, they came in and took all Covid-19 precautions, and handled my electrical problems.

Ran new line to replace original corroded lines, two GFCI circuit breakers, one for my new fountain pump and the other for the circuit running my 4 porch lights and outdoor outlets, as well as a separate switch for my new fountain pump.

As a public school teacher, I appreciate their honest work, prompt service, and price for work completed. They buttoned everything up and I'd recommend them to friends and family.

SD Electric Technologies did an amazing job helping us out when the outlet for our dishwasher was not working. I sent a message via Yelp and they was so responsive and got back to me in less than 30 mins. They were able to make a same day appointment and came out and had the job done in under an hour.

I recently purchased a condo and it had some electrical issues. Half of the wall did not have power and I checked everything and could not figure it out.

SD electric came out the next day, covid ready, and diagnosed the problem right away. They also installed a new electrical box which allows me to use more power and be up to code now.

I felt like SD electric was upfront and honest and gave me a really fair price. The work was done in timely matter. I am happy and very satisfied with how everything turned out. I would definitely recommend SD electric!

I tried to install a vanity light but ran into trouble with the junction box. I searched Yelp, saw the great reviews and contacted SD Electric. Leo contacted me and an electrician was able to come out the day after. He arrived within the stated time frame and went to work immediately. He was able to update the junction box and installed the light and made sure it was level. All within 45 minutes. The light works well and he left the area clean. I will definitely use them again.

My wife and I finally decided to add hard wired lighting to our house. I called around and got numerous quotes for the work we wanted done (12 flush can lights, 1 fan, and 1 fixture). Leo gave me multiple quotes for the different versions of the project we were considering. he was professional and honest about how everything would be done.

The work was all completed in one day. They worked some magic and only needed to remove a very small piece of drywall which he was able to expertly patch. We would definitely hire him again.

Leo did a great job repairing and re-wiring the lights in my outside kitchen. The work was done to my complete satisfaction. Wow. What great service! Let me begin by saying that when I requested a quote it was a holiday weekend. Leo responded and told me that he could be in the area within 10 minutes. He came by and gave us a free estimate to install shower vents in both showers. His quote was very transparent, and lower than other quotes that I was given. He had pictures of his work and the steps of the process that would be necessary. We set up the appointment and he and his team were timely, clean, wearing their PPE and ready to work. They prepped everything well and the installation was neat and professional. When they were finished, they promptly cleaned everything and reviewed the service and invoice. Leo replaced the wiring and gave us reasonable and safe OPTIONS. He could have just told us the priciest fix but he didn't. The install was clean and looks great. Our house experienced an unexpected blackout and our breaker switch was no longer working. I was especially worried if we would be able find any electricians working on a late Sunday afternoon, and during the COVID-19 pandemic. I put in a request for help through Yelp, and within 5 minutes, I was greeted by Scarlett over Yelp messages. Right upfront she took the time to listen to our concerns, provide an estimated quote readily available for us to see, and was able to dispatch someone within the hour. It was such a relief to know that I would be helped on such short notice during this time, especially when San Diego weather was already warming up, and all of our electrical power was completely shut off.

Our electrician, Leo, arrived promptly, and he was very professional and courteous. He also had a mask on to comply with the county health order. He assured us that he would be able to fix our breaker and gave us a reasonable quote. We were curious about upgrading our breaker since our house was pretty old, and he gave us the breakdown on the prices of each service. Not once did we feel any pressure to upgrade, and he listened to our needs and concerns, which is very much appreciated.

Since our breaker is very old, finding a replacement part readily available in stores would take some time. But Leo was able to provide us temporary electrical power in the meantime. The work took two days total, but we were not left stranded without power.

This is a family-run business, and I highly recommend them for any of your electrical service needs. The fact they were able to respond quickly, and assure us that they were able to fix our breaker problem, and give us peace of mind especially during these different times, were enough for me to ensure that they get the praise and recognition they deserve for their business and quality of work.

Leo also informed me that they're able to install surveillance cameras, if needed, so at least I know who I can refer for that service, as well.

Leonardo helped me with a problem Ive had for a long time. basically i whenever i used my microwave and someone had a heater/ac/blow dryer on it would trip a switch, i had no idea why this was happening, as i had just upgraded my main panel when i installed solar panels. Leonardo came by and told me the problem was the solar company had done a horrible job and hadnt routed all the breakers from the old panel to the new one. he told me the reason my breakers kept tripping was because i didnt have separate breakers for all my rooms. he broke it down in a way my electricity-ignorant brain could understand. he was done in a day and said i could call him with any problems i might have. ive recently called him again to install a new outlet and he installed it in less than an hour. the prices are fair and the work is honest.

Leo did a great job installing our ceiling fan junction box and wiring. He did three rooms and they all came out great. One room did not have attic access so they had to make a few extra cuts in the ceiling drywall and they repaired the drywall and texturing very well. A couple of weeks ago Leo and his nephew installed 2 RING Floodlights/Security Cameras on my driveway and backyard. Their work is very professional. Their cost is reasonable and Leo gave me a veteran discount. I am definitely going to recommend them to my family and friends who may need their services in the future. I called This company because the outlet in the kitchen at my house is not working.As when they show up I didn't ask for any quote that I should ask before the work start.He show up with his guy and just take a look only 5 minutes every thing sudden working fine like nothing broke at all.He don't need to even turn off the breaker.I mean I happy that it work, However During that time I was asking his help for the favor if he can help me change the light ball at the ceiling since it too high and he helped me just fine BUT the last part was the bill come up like 350$ and he said he give me 10% off for first customer for the first customer.I ask him why so expensive Then he changed to 15%. He said that because his guy really good and he has knowledge about this.(Of course if you open this business you expected to have the knowledge to do your job otherwise I wouldn't call you. I should pay for the work that you doing not your knowledge !!) I expect to pay for reasonable price of service since I search around and it should cost around 65$-130$ but I end up pay 314$ just for checking 1 outlet that only 5 minutes work and he keep saying he didn't charge me for changing light bulb.Imagine if he charge me for changing light bulb how much would that be.The reason I decide to share my experience because I was not happy with the price that he charged me .This is just ripped off price!!! Never do anything without asking for the quote before the work start!!!

Leo helped me get a hard wired smoke detector fixed for a client. Then, gave me a free estimate to replace bathroom vent fans for another client selling a home. I have now hired SD Electric Technologies to install new plugs at my home, move a tv and fix the drywall after. Our pool pump connection to our breaker fizzed our and he initially said the breaker needed to be replaced, which was going to be an expensive fix. Then he discovered we had a secondary breaker in our garage and figured out how to hook our pool pump to that breaker. A much cheaper fix and now our pump works great!!

I was so impressed with the level of service we received from Leo and SD Electric. I called for an estimate and he was able to come out to the house the same day. We had them quote installation of a ceiling fan, installation of a 240V outlet for an EV charger in the garage, and a simple outlet repair in the kitchen. Their prices were on par with other contractors and they were able to come out that same week and get the work done. They were able to get the work done on day one and day two came back for the dry wall repair where they had to run wiring. The technicians were all super friendly and professional. We had one mix-up with the outlet in the garage where a 120V outlet was installed instead of the 240V we requested. When I brought it to Leo's attention, he had a technician out within a couple hours to correct it. Overall, super happy with the work these guys did. I had Leonardo from SD Electric come out to do a whole house inspection on a potential house I was going to buy. The house was old and had a lot of past work, rewiring to do, and panel to replace / upgrade. I was mainly concerned about any safety issues. He throughly went through the house, inspected all rooms and attic space, identified many issues. He provided professional opinion in verbally and in writing, a full report with photographs, and even a quotation for repairing everything in a menu format, so I can choose which repairs I want done by a professional, and which I can take on by my own (like light fixtures). We were originally going to have a friend do some electrical work in garage before the ceiling got drywalled, but that fell through the day before the drywall project was scheduled. I contacted SD tech via yelp, and Leo called me back within 5 minutes, and was at my house within 1.5 hours. After giving me a quote we hired him to do the job, which was moving an existing light to another location and hiding some wires. He started right away (at 2:30 pm) and finished at 8 pm.

The electrical in the garage was a mess, with wires hanging out all over the place. Without charging extra Leo cleaned up all the wires and hid them so they would be behind the drywall. He also moved the location of an outlet and another hanging wire, and closed off some random wiring for a defunct alarm system. All in all I was very impressed with both Leo and his nephew and the work they did. They left the area clean, went above and beyond to do the job right, communicated well, and worked efficiently.

My wife and I finally started to do some work on our kitchen. We got rid of the old and ugly looking tiles the were leaking all over the place and installed quartzite countertop. The work is still in the progress, but we knew that we had to have old light fixtures be replaced as they were not working properly. This where Leo comes in. We shopped around. Leo was very flexible and accommodating. The price he gave us was reasonable compared to others. But what made him standout from other companies is that came to inspect and gave us the quote right away. He was also ready to take the project. His nephew, Isaias, came and did an amazing job on installing/preparing light fixtures.
As we proceeded with the backslash, we found out we had to relocate two light switches. Leo again came through and sent Isaias to take care of the job. This is a great company and I look forward to having them do more work for us.

Leo and Isaias did a fantastic job running new wiring so we could replace our old hollywood style light strip with two new fixtures. It we was only 3 days from initial quote to completing the work. Highly recommend this company.

Thank you for coming same day for the initial inspection of circuit breaker issue and also for coming on a holiday afterwards for the additional work. Pleased with everything from wearing PPE to the clear explanations of the problems and solutions. Safety was always in mind. Pricing was reasonable and I really appreciate the upfront quote. So my Wife and I have been experiencing electrical problems in our kitchen lately. So I decided to contact several companies and was unhappy with the rates I was getting just to come out. In these days it's hard enough to allow people into your home during this pandemic. So it's even harder when they charge so much just to come. When I called SD ELectric the first I said out of frustration was How much are you going to charge just to come out to my home, are you like all the others I called? His response was $75.00 followed by I can come today just text me your address. I was very happy with his rate and knowing he was coming today. Leo Estrada was very nice and professional. I always judge a business by my first impression and his Energy was good. Not only did he quickly resolve our problems, he went a step further and waived the $75.00 fee. I highly recommend Leo and support his Business. It's hard to find honest reliable people and he's one of them. Respectfully, thanks Leo

The service is excellent! One of our breakers malfunctioned and some of our outlets were not working. I called them to obtain a quote. Leonardo came over in less than an hour. Because of the exceptional experience I had with Leo and SD Electric Technologies, I reached out to them again to install 3 Ring floodlight security cameras at my mother in-laws house. Leo again did a fantastic job with communication, providing an estimate and installation. After installation, we found out that one of the floodlights was defective. Leo came back later that day to uninstall the light and offered to come back to install the replacement which he did yesterday. Great customer service!

Leo and his assistant were great. I had an issue that came up on a Sunday afternoon that I was not able to troubleshoot. 2 hrs later, Leo was at my house. He diagnosed the issue and fixed it in under 1.5 hrs. The price was even cheaper than expected for a Sunday afternoon call out. He take before and after pics to show the work he did and this was very comforting. I will reccomend Leo in the future.

I had SD Technology come out to give me an estimate for some cameras at my business place . They came out on time and they were very professional. I agreed to proceed with the work .
