David was awesome over the phone!! He was able to troubleshoot and help turn a scary frustrating repair (toilet flange repair), into an understandable and doable process, without concern for getting over here to get paid!!! I highly recommend him and the team here in Vista, CA!!!

We were very pleased with the service from roto-rooter the two technicians that came out Theo and Andrew were not only knowledgeable about our situation but they were able to give us options to resolve it. The work was done quickly and they were very professional and nice. They didn't leave until they were sure that our clog was gone. This is our first time using Roto-Rooter but after the service we received from our techs we would gladly use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

From our two phone calls with Debra to the time that Theo and Andrew left our home with the job completed, we can't be happier with the service we received from Roto Rooter. Theo and Andrew were beyond polite, they were enthusiastic and made extra efforts to complete our repair on a Sunday without taking shortcuts. Our sewer got clogged and we were able to get roto-rooter out within a few hours of the problem. When they got here they tried to charge me $845 to hydro jet my sewer lines. I told them I can have someone else do it for $400. They agreed to bring down their price to $495 and included a 6 month warranty and camera the line for me.

After they hydro jetted they cameras the line and told my my sewer disconnected the line. they said I couldn't use my toilets and that the break was underneath the road. They said the cost is going to be around $23k to fix the issue and they would get me a formal quote and also provide me with the camera shots that I paid for.

So 4 days now and I've called their office and nobody has gotten back to me. I ended up paying another plumber to camera my lines and we found out the disconnect was minor but the fix can be done with a sleeve rather the cutting into the city road. they also told me the guys didn't hydro jet all the roots correctly. They missed the last 5 foot of run which they said they couldn't get to. The new guy I hired was able to finish the job roto-rooter could not do. I don't appreciate how roto-rooter used these scare tactics to try and pressure their customers into committing to a overpriced job. I'll never use them again.

Update: After five days the manager finally gave me a call. I told him the situation and he was unaware that his crew told me I was no longer able to use my bathrooms or that they would provide me with a quote to fix the problem. His crew told him I was going to have someone else do it instead. He said he would get to the bottom of it. He offered to have his crew come out to do the camera. I Told the manager that I ended up bringing another Plumber and got the footage I needed and if you wanted to make things a little better that he should credit me for the footage I never received. He told me he couldn't do it since they had done the camera already. I told him to send me the footage then and he said they never recorded it. At the end of our conversation he said that either the customer is lying or his crew is and that he needs to take his crews word. Stay away from these plumbers as they don't hold accountability.

Got to our house within an hour of making an appointment. We needed a new water heater- they replaced promptly. The techs were very professional and courteous.

After getting several inspections for other companies, it was great to have Joe come out from roto rooter. The other companies said all the lines needed to be replaced and quoted the job at $12, 000 or more. Joe came out and started simple. He put water down the line that we thought was clogged and it cleared it up. I know that water down the line isn't going to fix most peoples issues, but its the fact that he went through little steps to figure it out. These guys rock. I will be using them again for all my plumbing needs.

Very thankful for the Roto Rooter team's help today. I had a high pressure line burst under my sink on second floor that caused major chaos.  Elbert responded promptly to help us contain the leak. He was very professional and courteous, and even pointed out other parts of the plumbing system in our home in case we ever experienced another emergency in the future.
Elbert then referred us to the restoration part of the team.  Eddie and Ivan showed within an hour and put in a long day and into the evening hours to start mitigating damage and walk us through the insurance claim process.  Glad they came because damage was not visible to the eye, but their equipment clearly showed the amount of moisture retained in the floors, walls, and ceiling.  Everyone was very polite and respectful in our home, and left the workspaces clean and tidy before leaving each day.  I highly recommend their services.

For me what a rip off. The tech was very good but the cost to have 1 line cleared which took about 2 mins or less was well over priced. Even at a discounted rate the cost was well over 3 times the cost to have had a name brand company come out and do the work. Very disappointed with RR

the vista location was amazing to work with to assessing and ultimately replacing our garbage disposal. The tech Abraham was friendly extremely polite and great to work with. I would call them again with any future issues and request him if I could.

I had a problem coming back from a trip - my washing machine's drain got clogged up, and you know how that goes when you want to do the wash. Jose came out and was able to identify the problem and snake the drain out, and had no problems with the number of drain tests needed to ensure that the job was done right. That is what it is all about - exceeding customer's expectations!

They came out to our rental in Oceanside and charged me $375 for a camera they say they couldn't get down the line, for a cleaning they couldn't complete and they Recommended excavation or rerouting the sewer line per their notes. Didn't sit right with me. Called a competitor (check my recent review for their info) and they went through the roof and cleared it in 30 minutes.

Please don't use these guys for clogged pipes, look for better reviewed companies and read reviews to look for description of your issue. $375 down the drain (pun intended).

Shout out to Jaime for helping us out with our water heater with our internal leak issue. Jaime and Al came out very shortly after scheduling an appointment on a Sunday afternoon & had a new water heater within hours. Thank you!

Tub faucet handle broke while the tub was running. Couldn't shut off the water so had to turn the water main off to the house. Called Roto-rooter on a Friday night and they were very responsive. Could've sent someone out that night but based on my description of the problem they could tell that they would need parts not available at night so saved us a night charge visit.
Sent Fabian the next morning. The stem of the cartridge in the valve broke at the base. Needed the valve behind some tile replaced. Was a pretty big job and he did a great job.

The Receptionist was super helpful and made sure everything was done promptly. She sent technician Frank for a moisture inspection in my unit. After months of dealing with other companies, Frank was really knowledgeable and upfront about the inspection. He kept me informed about what was happening. I'm really satisfied with the service. Thank you!

No quote received prior to repair. After repair we were told we owed $414. Gave tech $420 cash. Requested and received an invoice a few days later stating we were only charged $304. Spoke to manager, he stated that's all the tech gave him in cash.
Company is not responding to me anymore. Asking for company pricing...no response. Asking for call back...no response. Very unprofessional and I will not recommend them or use them in the future.

Thomas came out to clear a main line blockage at 1am.  He arrived all smiles and happy to help us.  Price was very reasonable and all is clear. So happy!!

Steven Villa was our technician. We could not be more pleased with the service we received. He was super helpful in assessing our problem and explaining what was going on with our drain and quickly brought out his tools to fix it. He left the sink working and clean. Super professional and helpful.

We had a clogged sink drain that was very difficult to fix. Another plumbing company came out but couldn't fix. Fortunately Steven Villa from Roto-Rooter was able to successfully clear the clog. He was polite and very professional. He had all the tools he needed and left the bathroom clean when he left. I will definitely use this business going forward.

This is more a review about Roto Rooters policies rather than the plumber that came out.
When I first called, I had asked how much to clear a clogged kitchen sink. They were unable to even give me a general idea. They said that the technician would need to come out and give me an estimate at that time.
The quote from the technician was odd. Like he was ummmm it will be about x amount.... But I can do it for y amount..... It was not cut and dry. Come to find out, these guys work on commission. In the end I got charged over $800 for a clogged kitchen sink, snaking the main line, and snaking the shower. I have to appreciate the guy though, he was there for almost 4 hours. He seemed inexperienced, but worked hard.

It didn't occur to me to ask about a guarantee at the time, so I called Roto Rooter back. They were once again unable to tell me. They said that it was up to the technician.  This seems so very odd to me. Clearly they are subbed out guys that work on commissions, but if they are working under the Roto Rooter company name, Roto Rooter should stand behind their work. Or at least have a policy.

Also, I asked for a receipt and the guy said it would be emailed. The next day it had not yet come so I called Roto Rooter and they said it takes a few days. Weird, but ok... few days goes by and still nothing. I call again and they guy says it hasn't been processed yet but he will expedite it. Fast forward to NINE DAYS after my service and I just got my receipt. Probably because I wrote  corporate customer service and email and informed them that I am contacting consumer affairs. Corporate blew me off to some other person because the Roto Rooter I used was a franchise and they can't do anything about it. The person that he blew me off to, blew me off to another person who I don't expect to hear from. Oh- and the receipt has notes from the tech about conversations that never took place.

I will chalk this up to a hard lesson learned. I will NEVER use them again. And I'm telling everyone I know to never use them.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! My husband just home from surgery, giving him his first shower and bandage change and all the drains back up.  Nearly in tears I call Roto-Rooter and was greeted by the most friendly dispatcher who assured me someone will be right out. Within minutes I receive a text stating Edgar Castro is on his way along with a blurb of his experience. Still in a panic I call back and ask how long ( bear in mind it has only been minutes so yes-I am now that customer). The dispatcher answers the phone and without any annoyance tracks him and assures me he in en route. Edgar shows up could not have been nicer (and again reassuring).  I have had service techs at my house from other firms and the majority of the time they speak to my husband and dismiss my questions. Edgar did not. He looked directly at me, explained everything to me, answered my questions without one sense of dismissing me. He had the magic touch and got everything running for us and made suggestions for what we should do. Edgar didn't try and sell something we didn't need, educated me, was personable and professional thoroughly checking everything before he left. I could not have asked for more and honestly just having someone speak to you and explain how things work without any aggravation-not to mention on a 100 degree Sunday- and make sure you were good before leaving means so much! Our toilet started leaking a little after having family over. We figured it was backed up as we've had this problem once before when we initially bought our home. Our technician Anthony Escandon arrived less than an hour after I placed the call! My husband remembered him from the first time and was happy to see we were in great hands. Anthony was very professional and personable. It was so nice that he remembered us as well. In no time Anthony had found the issue, given us honest recommendations to avoid future issues and fixed the problem! What great service to say the very least. Thank you for everything, it goes without saying that we will continue to do business with Roto Rooters as well as recommend them to family and friends.

I had a main line blockage on a rental property forcing my tenants to stay at a motel.  I had called a number of other plumbers who did not seem to appreciate the urgency of my situation.  When I called Roto Rooter, they had 3 trucks at the property within 30 minutes.  They quickly cleared the blockage and diagnosed 3 separate breaks in the main line.  We agreed that the main line needed to be replaced and then that a lining should be added in the line to the main sewer in the street.  Adriel Lopez headed up the job and completed it in a reasonable time.  Clearly these guys were the right plumbers for my job.

Andrew V.  and Eddie V.  were great.  They quickly fixed the pipe in our wall.  They were professional and didn't mind wearing masks and booties as we requested.  Thank you.

Outstanding service! We were heading out of town for the long 4th of July holiday and two days before we were scheduled to leave our water main broke.   They came out that evening within an hour of us calling and started the process to locate the leak.  Next day they had a crew in and were digging and replacing the 61 year old line to the street.  By the last day only hours before we were to leave they wrapped it up and even replaced the damaged plants that were unfortunate losses in the process of the pipe replacement and were incredibly careful with the pavement that didn't need to be busted out.  They took their time to make it look great even though it was a lot of work.  They have given us a 25 year guarantee and it is transferrable to the next home owner if we sell our place.  Big shout out to Jayson Johnson who busted his back getting this work done in some epic 14 hour days.  Incredibly hard worker and really nice guy.  Thank you Roto Rooter!

We had a total plumbing back-up that could have been catastrophic, however , Tony C came out the same afternoon and assessed the situation . They cleared the clogged main and washed out all of our pipes . We even got to see pictures of the completed job - sparking clean pipes throughout! Thanks Tony C and your crew !

I experienced a plumbing problem which required extensive repairs over two days. Elbert, the crew chief, and his assistants, Adrian and Adriel, did a wonderful job. They explained in detail what steps were to be done to analyze and diagnose the problem. Once working to correct the problem had begun, they kept me informed every step of the way. Absolutly do not recommend! My rental property called them. They gave a quote of $285 then proceeded to do a job that took 15 minutes. I called and Roto Rooter did not return my call. I called again and they had the technition call me back. He would not discuss how they came up with a $285 price. Just to say we bill by the job not the time it takes. Then said he was busy, call back the office. The Supervisor had the same line. Even if it took them an hour with driving time and everything else, these are not attorney's or doctors! They should not bill as if they were one! Just ask yourself, how long were they at your property and how much did you pay them. Then you decide.

We had a clogged kitchen sink and needed help fast.  Root-rooter had a technician out to our house within a few hours and repaired the clog quickly. Andrew the technician was courteous, helpful, friendly, and efficient. Thanks so much.

We needed a simple drainsnaking as our kitchen sink was draining slowly.  The clean out is right outside the kitchen window and drains about 60 feet to the street sewer.  Roto-rooter would NOT quote me a price nor even give me a ballpark estimate for this simple clean out.  In the past we've paid $75-$79 for this procedure.  Their technician came took one look at our home and our property (Anaheim Hills) and said $350!  We told him he could leave the premises and he said, How about $250? We said No. He said, What about $200?  Jesus, what is this a garage sale??  THAT told us right there why they won't give a quote up front.... they try to see how much they can get out of you and then try to haggle with you when you say no.  MOST UNPROFESSIONAL company we' ve ever dealt with!  DO NOT USE!!!

THANK YOU, Jacob Perez!! We had a broken hot water valve under our kitchen sink with a VERY stubborn nut stuck onto the copper pipe. After the pipe became damaged, we had to shut off our main water valve to our condo unit, which was very distressing during a heat wave! Jacob was able to come out on a weekend, after hours, and worked hard to get our problem resolved. He was very professional, kind, and diligent in making sure everything was perfectly fixed. We will definitely use Roto-Rooter again in the future!

WOW!  These guys are the BEST!!!  AJ & Joel came out @ 11pm @ night because they knew I needed help (had company coming into town the following morning) and they took care of things.  I had been having a reoccurring issue & other plumbing companies could not seem to figure out what was happening, but these guys figured out my issue & fixed it!  From now on I'm calling AJ & Joel!

I can't say enough about Tony C and Fidel!  They stuck with my sump pump problem all day so I could run water in my tiny house on wheels without all the drains backing up!  Fidel even drove to Paris so I could have my pump and not have to wait a week!  Quality work done with expertise and friendly concern!  Thanks for solving my issue!

I have had service by the Vista location Roto Rooter several times and I have nothing negative I can say about the experiences. They know what they are doing, they charge reasonably, and they are courteous. Highly recommended.

I had a backed up toilet and clogged drain on a Saturday night. I called RotoRooter and got their answering service. I had a call back within 5 min and AJ was at my door in 30 minutes more. AJ was professional, polite, and had tje drain clear in no time. I would use them again.

I had a very bad experience with a plumbing emergency with the Vista Roto-Rooter.  The water supply line to the fridge sprung a leak at the connector.  The plumber said he was going to the truck to get an invoice.  I go outside after a bit to find no plumber, no truck, and no explanation.

Had major sink backup and prior plumbing service could not address. Called Roto-Rooter and Theo was out to my house same day within a few hours. He was not only friendly, courteous, and professional but for the backup fixed. We will definitely call in the future. Thank you Theo!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the experience I had with this company. Eli Ozuna was the plumber that came out to fix a leaky toilet and was extremely professional and courteous and fixed the problem in a fast and efficient manner. I will definitely be using Roto-Rooter for all my future plumbing needs.

Came out the next day after calling them at 10pm night before. Had a check valve failure that cause major leaking in bathrooms. Josiah was very professional. He knew exactly what was going on, found the problem right away without using any tools. Didn't even charge me!

Great service from all the employees involved!  I had a leak in a wall and needed immediate help.  The friendly dispatcher sent Levi over to my house within 20 minutes who diagnosed the problem and began the paperwork while assisting me in dealing with my homeowner's insurance.  The plumbers came, fixed the leak and Levi stayed until all the work was done.  He continued to check on the progress of the dryers and dehumidifiers and completely dealt with my homeowner's insurance.  What could have been a very frustrating and upsetting experience turned out to be very pleasant thanks to the honesty, integrity and strong work ethic of Levi and Roto Rooter.

Poor customer service. Good luck trying to get a call back...they no showed twice. Very difficult to work with. I cannot speak to their plumbing/drainage services because I haven't actually seen them perform any...

Tony was great easy to work with and always had an encredible smile. Professional, on time and very knolwledgable. I'm saving his name to request him in the future. Treat him well he is a keeper.

These guys straight up cheated my wife. Then when I called them on it the guy was rude, and said that the paperwork was signed so it was too late to do anything about it. He tried to lie about how much the part costed, but didn't realize we had pictures of the part he used. The receipt they send is NOT itemized, so they hide behind that. I complained and they said a manager would call me, which still hasn't happened even after I called again. Do not use these guys.

Thank you very much for your prompt service.  I called at 10:30am on a Sunday to have the shower valve cartridge replaced and also to replace the dryer gas line valve, and kid you not, he was here in less than 30 minutes.  Very respectful gentleman and knowledgeable. He made sure everything was perfect before he left. His quote was fair specially for a Sunday call.

Theo did an amazing job today. We had a really tough clog in the kitchen caused by some food particles that were stuck in the pipes. We reached out to Rotorooter when we discovered that we had a leak in the kitchen. Initially, we thought we had made the right decision, because every person that came out seemed knowledgeable, friendly, and like they had our best interest at heart. Now this was our first experience with a homeowners insurance claim and we really relied on them to help us make the right decisions. First up was figuring out the problem. I was told I had to pay $1600 upfront, but it would be reimbursed by the insurance company as soon as the claim went through. considering we have three kids and really needed a kitchen. I unfortunately paid the money. Next came to clean up crew. I still have a hard time believing that John wasn't such a good guy after all. As far as the process went, I was very impressed! Every worker that came to my house was friendly and I felt comfortable having them work. They communicated what they were doing very well and I felt comfortable using this company. However, I was assured that the insurance company would cover the situation. Much like the $1600 this turns out to not be completely true. I now have a $6000 lien on my house and while they are assuring me that this is a normal step in the process, considering that they were wrong about the $1600 I am not so sure. Finally, there is the rebuild crew. I will say they were punctual and friendly. We did not feel comfortable using them considering that they seem to have taken us for $7600 at this point. As soon as I let them know that we would not be using them for the rebuild. I cannot get anyone to return my calls, or emails. I'm not exactly sure what to do. At this point I have no kitchen and I feel completely taken advantage of. My adjuster told me that they did not bill correctly and that they billed for things that are not covered. I suppose there will be an update to this review at some point but for right now beware! Just because you grew up hearing this name does not mean it's a safe bet. Lesson learned.

I had complete blockage in my system, and with 15 out of town guests in my house, it was an emergency, with no toilets or showers suddenly and unexpectedly available.  On a Sunday, two days after Christmas, I had a technician at my door within 90 minutes ready help.  Matthew quickly diagnosed the problem as one that would require pump truck, and then worked diligently to get a truck to my home.  The driver of the truck was a real expert, and they took multiple hours to find the tank, and finally they found it.  The tank was completely full!

Both individuals were professional and very knowledgeable.  I am pleased to give them and Roto Rooter my highest recommendation.  You guys literally saved my Christmas!

Had an appointment for a simple job. Never showed, no one called. I called 30 minutes after the 2 hour window and the lady apologized saying they were busy and that the guy would be here in an hour and a half. I canceled. I get it, things get busy. I don't get why they couldn't call me to let me know.

Had an issue with our kitchen sink backing up. Landlord wanted us to use Mitch with Fallbrook plumbing. Well long story short Mitch snaked the drain multiple times and the issue kept happening. So I went on my search Saturday morning and called about a dozen plumbers. No one could come out till Monday and it would cost at least $85 just for them to come and look.

Called Roto Rooter and they said they'd have someone out in 2 hours to assess and it wouldn't cost anything. Sure enough within 2 hours they were at my house!

Eli O. Showed up and was extremely nice and listened to me bitch about why I don't think snaking it would work and how Mitch was an idiot. First thing he did was head out to the trap on the other side of the kitchen wall, he opened it up and it was FILLED with sludge. He offered to snake it for free with my 10ft snake that I had. It needs to get snaked further, which I will call him to do but I'm getting in touch with my landlord to pay for it since we've only been here a month and this is YEARS of sludge.  Had Mitch of Fallbrook plumbing opened the trap he would have found this. Glad we found someone capable.

I will never hire Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup  again. They're plumbing guys did a great job. The water clean up and reconstruction was and is a nightmare! Water clean up supposedly costed 17,000$ worth but all they did was rip up part of my flooring and put some fans up. Over next couple months my house smelled like mold. So I had to pull up rest of the flooring in the kitchen and eventually living room area and discard it on my own. Floor and some of walls were covered in mold. I think I did more cleaning up then they did. Construction team has been helpful with trouble I had with getting money from HOA but contractors are so unorganized. Told me it'd be a week when cabinets were ordered. We'll cabinets were wrong twice and still waiting. Just annoyed and stressed been without a kitchen since 30th of December 2022. Pictures of mold, flooring I had to clean up and discard. And wrong cabinets ordered first time second time wrong size cabinet was ordered. Somehow my sink just went missing! The owner/CEO of this franchise is ridiculously unprofessional, rude, offensive, and aggressive. I would never use his organization after seeing how he conducts himself to others. Our home was built in the 50's and we have had several plumbing issues over the years and have gone through several plumbers ... some good, some not so good, trying to solve the problem in one bathroom and our kitchen sink.  We were always told, at the end of the day, we have an old house and we are on a septic tank ... that is the problem!  Well, Dylan from (Santee) Roto-Rooter came out a couple of months ago and not only installed a new water heater (old one was 15+ yrs old!) but, he fixed that kitchen sink problem and it's never clogged up again!  I would highly recommend the (Santee) Roto-Rooter if you are in need of a plumber who knows what he is doing.  Thank you Dylan for a job well done.  Please tell your owner Dad ... We called Roto-Rooter when we noticed a water leak in our kitchen. Johnny M., from the water mitigation team, came out first thing the next morning and quickly identified where the water was coming from and where it spread to. Turns out, it spread to the majority of the cabinets and the entire kitchen needed to be demo'd as a result.

Johnny is easily one of the kindest, most empathetic, and efficient workers I have ever had at my house and I cannot recommend Roto-Rooter enough simply because of how helpful he was during this crisis. He reassured me that this would 100% be a covered claim through my insurance and he was right. He took time to answer every single question or concern we had throughout the process and he dealt directly with our insurance adjuster to answer any of their questions as well. His Water Mitigation team and the Plumbing team were respectful and collaborative when we needed it most.

Good job to Steven Villa and his crew had some major problems with my plumbing called Saturday night and Roto -rooter showed up the next day Sunday as promised the time I was expecting. Had job completed 8-17 2021 they did excellent job vary polite and professional .RR is blessed to have professional courteous employees.I will definitely call them when I have any more plumbing problems .I recommend them .

A friend based in Diamond Bar used Roto-Rooter to detect the leak in the slab before regular repair (for which he used a different contractor). According to this friend, Roto-Rooter charges a very reasonable fee between $200-300 and promised to NOT charge him a dime Unless they found the leak. Encouraged by this friend, we also called Roto-Rooter. The technician came, charged $800 up front. He applied his fancy Ulrasonic detecting device and could not find the leak. He charge another $175 to open the walls, and still cannot find the leak. He suggested we pay another $1700 for him to cut open the pipe (without promising if he could find the leak or not. ).  His surmise was the water supplying pipe was the one on the left -- which turned out to be TOTALLY WRONG when a regular plumber did cut open the pipe. They way he handled the matter made us unable to him anymore.  If his final solution was to CUT OPEN the pipe, who would hire someone with fancy ULTRASONIC Detector and pay for it? If he promised to WAIVE the initial $975 we might have hired him to cut open the pipes.  We ended up letting him go, with those ugly holes he made in the wall, and FEELING UTTERLY CHEATED of the $975. We hired a regular plumber for detection and reroute for only $3000. Would NEVER EVER recommend Roto-Rooter!

Theodore efficiently identified the plumbing issue under the sink and offered numerous tips to help us avoid similar issues in the future.

I had a drain clogged so I called roto rooter to come out and clear it.  They sent out someone who barely knew how to use the equipment and he wasnt able to clear the drain.

THEY CHARGED ME $375 and didn't even fix the problem.  The plumber was there for less than one hour.

I ended up calling someone else who cleared the drain in less than 10 minutes for $100

I called roto rooter two seperate times to talk to management about what happened but the manager wont call me back.  Ive been polite and calm the entire time but they refuse to talk about the issue.

Live and learn I guess.  Hopefully this review saves someone a couple hundred bucks.

These guys are awesome! Roberto, our technician and his supervisor Aaron, were both very knowledgeable and kept us informed of all they found and were able to fix things in a very timely and efficient way. . We had with back up of washer drainage pipes and they found large amount of roots growing into the pipes, and were able to get them out with a strong water stream and a Roto rooter clean out. They were very careful with the inside work, using plastic on the carpet, everything was clean after their work. Very Professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend. Will definitely use again if needed.

Everything backed up and flooded on a holiday weekend. Eddie came out and did a great job and then Andrew came out. The situation looked dire and Aaron got involved. Without going into the messy details these guys were pros and took care of everything very quickly. Kudos to all 3 for a superb job.

Pros:
Readily available when you need them in a pinch. Typically a two hour window which is very helpful when experiencing a plumping issue. The guys doing the dirty work are very polite and somewhat knowledgeable. The prices are straightforward despite being a bit high, but that's just industry standard.

Cons and our experience:
We had company visiting and we experienced a blockage. Classic.

We made sure to locate and uncover our access drain pipe in our landscaping before calling RR out. Had a nice guy come out and he explained that due to location of blockage seen on first look, he'd need to do the work from back of house clean o ut. Made perfect sense to us. We walked to back and pointed to the 'thing' and he told us it was not it. With that, we'd need to access via a toilet and toilet removal and clean out was an additional ~$200 charge. We agreed since that was the only option. Clean out was complete and we were back in business. The next step was to have another tech out to do the pipe camera work to diagnose the issue, which happened two days later. That crew spotted and utilized back clean out right away. It was the same one in question on first visit. They even asked 'why did you need to have the toilet removed?'. Great question, but a fixable business issue. Right?

I called RR to request a price adjustment, asking only to remove the extra charges for toilet removal option, seeing as how the toilet removal wasn't actually necessary and we paid a few hundred extra for it. I had to call 7 times to get a call back from management. That call back from management was the real treat. Someone named ROD (I'll save my joke) called and had a condescending tone from the moment he introduced himself. He opened up the call as if he didn't know what I was asking for, only to immediately demonstrate the he knew exactly why I had called. After speaking to me like I was the expert that made the mistake, he generously offered to 'split the difference' with me since we approved the toilet removal work. I explained to him that that was not satisfactory being that it was approved worked based solely on that fact that I trusted that the toilet removal was the only option. He then said 'well you seem very frustrated, what is it that you DO want?', which was just more condescension... for perhaps continuity? It was 100% clear cut what I wanted. He finally agreed to it and hung up on me BEFORE I could also let him know we still haven't received the camera work that we paid for. Charge on my card still says $668, and I will update based on if/when I get the $220 refunded.

Rooter at your own risk, but be informed.

when they came out and gave me an estimate for 950 to fix my shower valve it sounded high ..so I was smart enough to get another estimate and shocking

Absolute Rip- off ! DO NOT CALL ROTO-ROOTER!!! I had to call them after hours to change out bathtub handles that were stripped. My tenants called me but I was out of town. Roto-Rooter fixed the problem ( took the plumber roughly 45 minutes) I was expecting to overpay because it was after hours. He called me when he finished and told me the bill was $729!! I almost fainted! That's highway robbery. Bathtub fixtures (Moen) are about $150 so essentially he charged me close to $600 for 45 minutes of labor! To make matters worse, no one from Roto rooter will call me back to discuss the bill. I've called 5 times. Don't use these guys. Even if it's your last resort.

We have had a series of plumbing leaks in our current home. We decided to go with a more well-known, established name when it looked like our dishwasher leaked and damaged our cabinets.  There is never a convenient time for a big issue, but we were drowning with life. Roto-Rooter came to the rescue. We called 8 plumbing services on the day of the incident, and only Roto-Rooter returned our calls and agreed to come and assess the situation on the same day! When the team showed up, they were polite, direct, and quick to identify the issue and explain the next steps. Johnny Minafo was like a superhero for our family. He went above and beyond, and even contacted our insurance directly to help us with our claim.  He created the report, sent pictures, and stepped in to serve as our Project Manager since I was dealing with sick kids.  Johnny didn't have to, but he coordinated all of the moving parts, and was even there to speak with our contractor! The level of service was excellent. I am not an easy client and texted him likely more times than I should have... but he always replied and made sure we knew exactly what was happening.  Wonderful service from leak to restoration. We hope we don't have another leak, but if we do... we are calling Johnny at Root-Rooter Restoration.  Thank you for saving the day and helping us through a really difficult time.

I wanted to take a moment to personally thank Andrew Velasco for the outstanding job he did diagnosing and treating my plumbing issue. I've had piping troubles over the past few years and Roto Rooter have always provided good service at a fair value, but for this most recent problem, Andrew knocked it out of the park with clearing out the blockage. He was exceptionally friendly and very proficient and well experienced. He answered all my questions with ease and confidence. I had a longtime sewer line issue that became an emergency late one Thursday night. Called up Roto-Rooter in my area and they sent out a great team to get my home fixed up and working again by Monday morning. The supervisor Matt provided excellent service, technical knowledge, and information throughout while Fidel, Bryce, Jamie and their colleagues did an amazing job getting my lines repaired. Any inconvenience to me was minimized both while they worked and in the evenings between business hours. And they did it at a price point that couldn't be matched.

Robert from the same Roto-Rooter dispatch has also done awesome work for me in the past. I've tried several plumbers and plumbing services in the area and Roto-Rooter has always been the easiest for me to work with.

Way over charged.  But they came out same day. The repair was done adequately but at 2x the cost of the other plumbers.  Only use if it's an emergency and can't get someone else.

Today we had to have someone come out to snake our drain . What a blessing that they sent McGregor Santos , he was patient and determined to get the job done . After hours and lots of trouble he kept on until it was complete , thank you for being honest and hardworking.

I called 4 plumbing companies to fix my sewer backup. Roto-Rooter finally answered and was at our place within 4 hours on a weekend! I personally own a Construction company so I'm EXTRA critical on service, but the crew and organization is top notch from start to finish. Laura was extremely professional and quick to take care of me on the phone, Tony and his team was professional, transparent and upfront about what was happening. To me, pricing is irrelevant when service is KING. 5 Stars for Roto-Rooter

Wow, our kitchen sink was backed up and it was 4th of July weekend.   Andrew arrived earlier than he was scheduled .  Andrew was so polite as he clearly explained what  the problem was and what he could do to resolve it.  Andrew demonstrated a high level of knowledge and expertise in his field of work.

Andrew cleared the clog very quickly and took extra time to ensure it was resolved .  I was also impressed in the way Andrew worked efficiently and neatly and he carefully  cleaned up anything that did spill on the floor.

I believe Roto-Rooter Plumbing should be very pleased to have someone such as Andrew Barone working for them and representing them in such an outstanding professional manner.

$1400 Oversharge!!! We were about to sell our home in Feb 2022. Called Roto Rooter in a pinch and needed the service done to  flush the sewage pipes that weekend for our small single storey  older home. Well, they  charged us $2500 for this service as it was a camera guided inspection/water flush. Never having had to do this type of treatment before and. being on a tight timeline we were fooled into believing this was the market price for the service by the technician from Roto Rooter. We found out the very next week how much we were overcharged when we received a competitor's written estimate for the identical service priced  for less than$1100 . This was. sent to us by the buyer's agent based on their plumbing inspection .
I tried to call Roto Rooter repeatedly(March 1st, 2nd)  and emailed their technician too out of desperation on March 15th 2022  as I didn't have any other email id for them . I provided. him  with an electronic copy of a competitors' written quote to highlight how grossly RotoCo had overcharged us, but this was to no avail. My calls went unanswered . The customer service agent even refused to provide me with an email id stating No email id for customer complaints. You just have to wait for the Manager to call you back. The call of course never came :/
Needless to say, this has been an expensive  learning experience and  I will never use this service again.

If your willing to pay three times the amount other plumbers or handymen charge call these guys.  Unfortunately i was stuck with them when my tenant called them for a leak under the kitchen sink and stopped up drain.  They snaked the drain which took no time at all for $325!!!  Then wanted another  $650 to change out a garbage disposal, are you kidding me?  I had it done the next date for $250 including a quality MOEN 1/2 horsepower disposal.  They get two stars for being prompt and professional in spite of their excessive prices.

I had Jamie and Bryce come out and fix a issue with our pipes! They were very professional and if we have another plumbing emergency I will definitely be asking for them by name! 5 stars!

Initial visit cost $2,250.  They installed a clean out drain.  They gave us an estimate of $11,000 to install a 4 inch linear technology pipe inside the clay pipe.  Juan Rico, the Supervisor of the job showed me a camera that went as far as the tree in the front yard.  I asked if they would be digging up more of my lawn to accomplish the new pipe.  Juan said no.  He said everything would be done through the clean out drain. I told Juan that I had talked with my home warranty company and the highest they would pay for a job like ours would be $7,500.  Juan dropped the price to $9,000 and was going to give me credit for the $2,250 towards the $9,000.  Which brought the price down to a convenient $7,250 price tag!  Throughout the job Juan was on site for less than an hour total.  The day they did the clean out drain they dug up a 4x4 ft hole.  The dirt they dug up was placed on a tarp on top of the lawn.  When this job was finished Jose the worker cleaned off the tarp onto my lawn instead of taking it out to the street which is only common sense!!  When they came back to finish the 4inch pipe into the clay pipe I assumed that what Juan told me about digging up more lawn was what was going to happen.  After about an hour after their arrival, I went out to check on the progress only to see a worker digging up another 4x4 ft hole in my lawn.  I asked the worker why he was digging another hole he responded with yo no habla inglés.  I immediately called the office to find what was going on.  The person on the phone said she would contact Juan who was at another job site.  She thought she pout me on hold, but was on live to hear her say where in the F is his phone number, and then she realized she was on live then put me on hold!!  She came back and said she would contact Juan regarding the worker digging another hole.  Juan called me back and said the hole was necessary to clean out the main drain to the street.  I reminded him of our conversation about digging more holes in my yard, he denied that he said there would be no more digging and told me do you want me to have the worker close the hole and leave without fixing the problem!  To which I replied no finish the job.  I informed Juan at that time that Jose cleaned the tarp on my lawn and discussed that only common sense would tell you to take it out to the street and clean it!  He assured me that the worker would do so.  Juan then said he wanted payment for the job, I paid him and he said I would get a receipt with 24-48 hours.  I called the office on the 27th m, 3 days later because I paid on the 24th and didn't get a receipt yet, and was told they are behind and it should come to me within 24 hours.  On May 30th I finally received my receipt in my email!!  This company was shady from day one when they estimated the $11,000 job and took what the insurance was willing to pay!  I have very little faith that they  even installed the new pipe.  Stay clear of this company and Juan Rico and his employees!  To top it all off both days they were to show up at 8am but arrived at 10:30 the first day and 9:45 the second day, yet another reason not to hire this company!!  I give this company an F rating.  BTW the two holes they dug killed the lawn and will have to be re-sodded.

Roto rooter was quick to respond and that is the only good thing I have to say. They quoted me $575 for a clogged toilet which I then had fixed by Another location plumber for $89!

My kitchen sink was backed up. Made an appointment online around 6:45AM. Not even an hour later I got a very friendly call from Susan telling me that someone was on the way! Tony was at my door shortly after. Turns out I had a clog that was pretty far down the line, which took some time and patience to clear. Additionally, he discovered that my piping under the sink was glued where there should not have been glue, making it impossible to fully remove without cutting. He could have easily called it quits and said I needed new plumbing, but he didn't. Instead, he was able to work around the problem and clear the pipe successfully. Overall I'm thrilled with the service and would absolutely recommend Roter Rooter to anyone who asks. Thanks, Tony!

Advertising 24//7 service. I had an emergency with water flowing from tub faucet breaking. Was told they couldn't get out to do anything until the next day. Totally false advertising regarding emergencies. Luckily we got a hold of a local guy who took care of it right away. Nothing worse than lying about your capabilities as a business.

They made me wait 2 hours, but when the roto rooter  guy finally came he unclogged my kitchen sink in 20 minutes.

Before I called roto rooter, I called a 5-star yelp rated service which shall remain nameless. They were super nice but after 2-3 hours they said our drain was un-snakeable. They offered to hydro jet it for $1140. I said no thanks and called roto rooter, and they  came out and unclogged it with no drama.

Quoted me a price to replace a bathroom faucet that was twice the going rate!!!! Always get multiple bids on a project - even a small one!!!!!! I wouldn't use these guys unless it was a true emergency!!!!!

On third day of no hot water due to venting issue attempted to get fixed on a Sunday. After calling multiple plumbers advertising service 24/7 but not having availability until Monday finally called Roto-Rooter. Other plumbing companies made us wait to get a call back from the technicians only to be told they could not help us today.
Roto-Rooter technician arrived in under an hour from phone call. That is FAST and efficient service on a weekend!  So happy that we had hot water just a couple hours after our call. Chris was friendly, helpful, efficient, and professional.

I can not believe this people, they told me the service will be 300 just for see if the house that I want to buy has any plumbing issues, after the service they call me and told me that the total will be 697.50, whatttt????? I can't believe where the extra 400 came from, they said that they have to go to the roof or something like that, I am really upset about this, 700 for an Inspection???  Seriously. That is not the worst, they told me that the plumbing has some issues and to fix it will be 13000, I was not thank you, I already know you guys are a liars, I called other company and they went to the house for free and told me that they will charge 6000 for fix the same issue.
If you don't want to get extra charge and  throw away your money, don't use this people service. I wish I could give them cero stars.

They told me I would get one when the tech arrived. It was a minor leak. The tech said the minimum charge was $300 plus parts. I sent him away and called a local plumber.  He saw that the toilet tank was not properly installed and quickly fixed it. He gladly accepted $150 for  his work. When in doubt, call a qualified Immigrant plumber.

Professional and friendly. I would recommend these guys to everyone! They came out to Check a leak I had. Abel was fast friendly and professional the entire time.

I've used Roto-Rooter in the past and have always been pleased with their service. No one likes having clogged appliances!

My double sink was hopelessly clogged overnight and as it turns out, the middle drain parts were glued shut. Thankfully, Adriel was prompt, quick, and thorough with his work and had it back to normal function within 20 minutes.

The manager of the Vista location, I believe his name was Josh called me about a week or two after my service when he caught wind of a disappointed customer (me).  He was very courteous, apologetic and promptly offered to refund me since his team wasn't able to fix the problem I paid for them to come fix.

I think he totally redeemed his company by the phone call and gesture to refund me for the charges.  This is exactly the type of management model more companies should learn from when a mistake is made, just fix it and make it right, and Josh did.

Remember the song call roto rooter and away go troubles down your drain? They need to change to go away goes MONEY down your drain. We were charged $780.00 and they DID NOT unclog our drain! We will NEVER call them again.

Great start initially.  Came right out, diagnosed the problem (we had a main sewer line clog by tree roots) gave us a price and came out and fixed it after we agreed on their price.  The problem came after they finished and we tried our irrigation system.  Started out with 1 line leaking (wasn't upset yet, I realized that, since they used a backhoe to trench down to the sewer line, and there were liable to be some leaks.  However, that contract did specify that all landscapingwould be returned to pre-work conditions) Since it was only 1 I didn't bother calling.  Once I got that line fixed, I presssurized the line again and found another line that had to be fixed.  At this point we tried calling and were told the foreman was on vacation.  We tried to talk to his manager and never got a call back.  We finally talked to the foreman and he promised he would have a crew out the next Monday.  I took the day off on Monday and no one showed.  Wednesday, as my girlfriend was leaving the house, a crew showed up and couldn't understand why they couldn't do the work, even though noone would be at the house to give them access to the timers!  All told, I had to repair 5 or 6 sprinkler lines.  Nothing was even marked!  We started calling again to complain and were finally told to submit our receipts for the repairs and they would reimburse us but they wouldn't pay for my labor time. (Alright, being in the Service field I understand that one)  We're still waiting on a check for the matials we used.  Those were submitted almost a month ago.

Roberto and Andrew were a dynamic duo. Roberto was timely & knowledgeable, going above and beyond in helping me with my clogged drain and damaged disposal. He even was sweet enough to engage with my toddler who was amazed by the process and the big truck. Roto-Rooter was the only company who had same-day availability and their communication throughout was on point. Thank you Roberto

The worst experience! We had an issue removing and changing out an old bathroom faucet, which led to water everywhere . The plumber damaged a flawless sink in doing the job (the $400 to shut off the leak and change out a faucet was not in my budget; steep considering I vacuumed all the water Myself). He tried to paint the chipped porcelain, which didn't work and then took off the price of a new sink and offered to install it for free. I was so impressed at the time. But
I now had to buy a pedestal sink I didn't want (he wanted me to match the footprint) and a faucet I didn't like that would now fit this sink. He was nice enough to help with that. Unfortunately when I arrived home the pedestal sink was cemented in so crooked that the basin cannot sit flush. It's completely slanted. I've never heard of a contractor that doesn't use a level. He's so nice I feel bad, but now I have to have it all ripped out to start over. Plus he damaged the walls and new paint job. It's been awful!
