I have to give Yelp credit for finding this great Plumber. Major main-line back-up and flooding on a Sunday morning and James was out in a flash.
He was very friendly and professional. No crazy over-the-top charge for the Sunday service call.

Had a lake forming under my house from a pipe gone wrong, called responsive plumbing and they fixed it and haven't had a problem since. They were very professional and even put on shoe covers when they came into the house. James explained several possibilities that could be causing the problem while his nephew was checking out the problem from under the house. It wasn't a very long inspection but their mannerism felt very friendly, trustworthy and made me confident that they can fix whatever was wrong with an honest solution. My plumbing problem didn't take long to fix, but during that time my dad was trying to get a huge heavy box out of the house and into my SUV. We couldn't find our dolly so they took theirs out of their truck and lend it to us to use. Maybe we looked like we were struggling so they came over and even carried this heavy box onto the trunk of my SUV. These guys were awesome! I'm sure my dad would agree to there awesomeness. I will definitely be using responsive plumbing in the future for any plumbing problem that may arise. Thanks again Responsive Plumbing!

I called and James was awesome! He was so nice and I felt really comfortable. He gave me an awesome price compared to another company that I called and quoted e almost 2x as much. He was so sweet and I definitely will be referring him to my friends and family!
William came in on time and very professional. I think this is a good plumbing company and will definitely call them again if I need their services.
William showed up early enough to start right on time, 9:30am. He was done in literally MINUTES. Probably a super easy plumbing repair that I could have done, but I'm far from a plumber and did not want to deal with the potential issues. Now I know exactly who to call if I ever have a plumbing issue again. James was also very nice and polite when I called the day before to make my appointment. Good local company! I'll definitely be using them again.
Got a quote from them, and although the work was a bit more than they anticipated they stuck with their original quote. Very few companies stand by their original quote, especially if the labor hours turn out to be a little more than they projected. I was very satisfied with their work and the professional manner of all the staff.
I had some HOA issues regarding a leak and I had Responsive Plumbing come right away to fix the problem William and Josh were very clean and neat with there work they fixed the issue I'm glad I found a new plumbing company better then Scott English Plumbing!!! That's for sure I will highly recommend this company!! Thank you guys!! Thank you James your workers are awesome!!
So I don't normally write reviews but Will and his colleague were very professional and patient. We had a clogged drain in our master bathroom and for some odd reason it was miracle and it cleared when there got here. Not only did they accommodate our afternoon schedule but represented the business in a very courteous manner. It was truly appreciated.

James and his crew are wonderful. They are honest, on time, provide great communication, and excellent customer service. We recently remodeled a bathroom - James and his crew were instrumental in the entire process. There were a couple small issues, but James stepped up to the plate and provided fantastic customer service, to me that says a lot about a company. I would definitely recommend Responsive Plumbing.

Called to replace garbage disposal, and James came the very next day. He came a little bit later than our initial appointment. It seemed like he had a really busy schedule but still managed to call me in advance to let me know that he was running a little late. Good price, very professional, and I will definitely do business with him again in the future.

Great job. We had a mysterious leak from the tub at our rental unit. Responsive Plumbing was exactly that and was able to respond to my inquiry within 20 minutes and schedule a visit for the same day. Of course my tenant was out of town that day but Responsive Plumbing was able to reschedule for the next day. And William arrived early, communicated throughout the process and once they determined the issue they were able to suggest a couple of different options. Good stuff.
William was very thorough, professional, and addressed all of my concerns. I will absolutely use their services again.

The faucet was leaking.Asked them check out. They said they could fixed as exactly as I required over the phone. I found no hot water as valve was turned off and nothing changed . Turned on the valve, still leaking,even much more. I later found that rubber washer missing from stem. The kitchen detergent dispenser device not working ever after that.

They said they would arrive between 8:00 and 9:00. They arrived at 8:30. They were able to answer all our questions and get the toilet unplugged in 15 minutes. Good prices too.

My drain used to always get clogged and we always call different plumbers every time. He came on time , friendly, and very professional. I haven't had any problems since then.
Responsive plumbing my a$%, excuse my language but honestly if your going to confirm a date and time and even text us the day before and your a no show you guys deserve a 0 star rating. We even called and left a message and still havent heard back, we were waiting at home and they never showed. Seriously bad service, I would not recommend.
Highly recommended. Called James at 4:20 pm on a Saturday. William was at the house by 6 pm. Main drain line was cleared and toilet installed by 7:15. Both guys were courteous and shared plenty of information. Could not be more pleased with the service. Thank you.

I haven't hired them for any plumbing issues so I can't speak to the quality of their work, but I can speak to the quality of the character of the people who work at this company. On my morning commute today I witnessed two men in a Responsive Plumbing truck help another motorist whose car had broken down in an intersection. They pushed the car out of traffic and into a residential area. Not only are they up and at 'em early on an overcast Saturday morning, but they are kindhearted people who care enough to help another person who needs a hand. We need more folks like this in the world. If you have a plumbing issue, these are definitely the people who you want to show up at your home or business to fix what needs fixing.
James had Humberto come fix our office toilets on a Sunday and was flexible on his price after a mistake understanding. Thank you I will recommend you.
After getting screwed by another company, we decide to call them to take a look. They were quick to show up and quick to fix the problem. They didn't try to charge us $3,000 like this other company did when they came out. I will be using this company from now on and also letting everyone else know about them! It was a great price! VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR SERVICE AND EMPLOYEES THAT CAME OUT.
I hired them for a big job. Re-route drain line from kitchen and laundry to main line. They were on time every day and completed job on budget and on time. Great job
James came out on Thursday. I requested flushing of my tankless water heater. He said that one of the two valves was the wrong part. Initially, I thought he was lying, but he explained why he couldn't do it. James did not have his soldering tools. So, he returned on Saturday, he did lot of re-piping and soldering. I stood and watched what he did the whole time. It took nearly two hours. He knew exactly what to do and I saw no mistakes. He checked and double-checked his work.
He didn't charge for the flush, which I initially asked for, but he did it. He charged only for re-piping-Very reasonable pricing.
It is so hard to find a decent plumber. He is the go-to plumber from now on, for me.

I had to call James out as my hot water heater he installed in Mar. 2014, stopped working. He said it had a six year warranty and told me it was probably the thermopile. He said he would pick it up on the way to save a trip. While there he got another part that was under warranty just in case it was bad too. He installed both units. He said he normally charges for his labor, but since it was not noted in the contract, he would waive the labor charges this time. I donot know too many companies that would be so honest. So I will continue to use James on my home and my rental. He is awesome.
William and Josh called and came early. Great job! They were so polite
And efficient. They got the sink unclogged and even fixed a pipe that was leaking under the sink. Very nice young men. Definitely would call again and recommend.

Had a plumbing emergency today and basically went down the Yelp list in panic trying to get someone out asap. James from Responsive Plumbing was fully booked but still made the time to come out and help us. On top of that, I expected to pay a high fee due to the emergency/short notice but his prices were extremely reasonable. We will use this plumbing service when we need help again!

Although we didn't get any actual work done by Responsive Plumbing, we contacted them thru Yelp on Sunday and William came over on Tuesday to check the problem at our house.
Turns out, it wasn't our water heater as he mentioned it was a slab leak and it was more work than we anticipated. So we are currently in our decision phase, even with talks from our Insurance. From our chat with William, we totally appreciate how honest our options are for a fix. Hence, a five star service just for coming out.
*Just an update* just received quote and it was a little higher than previously promised. Though most of these services quote blindly without having to seeing the actual damage underground

Noticed a leak coming from our main waterline and since we're new to the area checked Yelp for a local plumber. After several inquiries we received a fair quote from James at Responsive Plumbing to replace our waterline to the street meter and proceeded to schedule the repair for the next day. Alberto arrived on time and gave us a schedule for the expected water outage. About an hour into the the job he says good news you have PVC to the street and only need to replace the small section going into the house saving us a couple thousand dollars off the original estimate! Wrapped up the job in a couple of hours and we had water back online with no further issues. A local business with honest people will always get another call from me. Thanks again!

I needed a new gas line to my kitchen. James was very responsive in replying my calls and text and scheduling. William and John came and gave me a detailed written estimate - very polite and professional. Then, they came and finished the job on time and passed the Irvine city inspection. I am extremely satisfied with their work. Great job! Highly recommended.
I should have written this long ago. I have used Responsive Plumbing several times and each time the service is better than 5 stars! James and William are personable, straightforward, and don't charge an arm and a leg. The work is always top notch quality. They have even come out on short notice. This was my first time working with Responsive Plumbing. From the communication and responsiveness, everything was on point. William came over to clean a heavily clogged shower drain and was out in less than 30 minutes. The whole experience was very easy and straightforward. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Responsive plumbing again if I have any further plumbing issues, they were great!
Needed a local, honest plumbing company to snake a clog in our main line that was causing our bathrooms to flood. Messaged Responsive Plumbing 30 minutes before they opened and received a prompt response back that their team would arrive within the hour or two. William and Austin arrived within the timeframe, snaked the main line, and BOOM!...clog gone and bathrooms back to normal. These guys were great from beginning to end. Polite, informative of what they believe caused the problem, and fast. Responsive Plumbing is now our go-to for all our plumbing needs.

Had yet another great experience with Responsive Plumbing. My wife woke me up to alert me to our water heater's supply valve leaking in our garage. Since the supply valve was broken and fixed into the open position, I wasn't able to shut it off. I wasn't able to shut off the water main, either (user error). I called James and told him about the leak and he was able to come out within an hour and take care of the leak.
Since my water heater was nearing end of life, I decided to have James replace it, which he and Alberto were able to do the next day in less time than originally projected.
My wife and are very happy to have gotten this taken care of, and are happy with the work done.

We had the guys come out and change a few faucets in our house. Everything went well from start to finish. James was very responsive with the quote on a Friday night through this app. William and his partner called and were able to come earlier than anticipated. We were glad about that. We'll be calling again if the need arises.
So I had an appointment for RESPONSIVE PLUMBING to flush my tankless water heater. The guy came out, looked at the tank and said he can't open the valve because the handle is stuck due to the hard water. He then tried to sell me on replacing the entire valve. He said it would be $350 and he would do the flushing as well. Later I texted to confirm and he Jack up the cost to $375. I decided to to take a look at the valve and I was able to open it myself with not too much trouble. Since I was already at the unit, I went ahead and did the flushing myself. I support worker for their hard labor. But trust and honesty is very important to me. Bait and switch is just wrong. Very disappointing on this vendor. Be careful with Responsive Plumbing. Get a second quote or opinion.
They were on time and i didnt even have to call i just message them on yelp had good reponse time the cost (qoute) was reasonable for me ...although i must admit they can have others which would cost less.
I like them bieng responsive on yelp even on a saturday.

We've set two appointments to have a filter installed and nobody showed up for either appointment. We didn't receive a courtesy call to let us know that they're running late, or even that they we're canceling our appointment. They just didn't show up and didn't call afterward to apologize or reschedule. We gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first no show, but after the second time, it's pretty safe to say that we won't be begging them to take our money.
About a month ago my kitchen drains were completely stopped on a Friday evening. After another very large plumbing service wasn't able to snake out my line nor open my cleanout(and subsequently quoted me some high dollar follow up options), I called Responsive Plumbing. James came out and was able to snake out my stoppage by being much more knowledgeable about the drain system in my house, and by being persistent with the snake until he was able to clear the blockage.
Awesome communication and service. Responsive Plumbing will be my go to plumber from here on out!
James and Responsive Plumbing are as good as it gets. My dad had a pipe leak in the foundation of his home and when I called James on a Saturday he was able to respond in just a couple of hours. When they got there they were immediately able to stop the leak and gave me solid options on how to move forward. Since this was going to be an insurance claim, James said not to worry and left on a handshake! This is the kind of guy that restores your faith in humanity. We will be using Responsive Plumbing to finish the work once insurance inspects and approves the property and I'll update this review.
This was the best experience. Our water heater went out Thursday evening and I emailed via Yelp at 9:00pm and James responded back to me within the hour that evening! He sent out William the next morning and our water heater was fixed by 10:30am the next day! We couldn't have asked for a quicker response as well as amazing customer service. William was super knowledgeable and even ran to lowes real quick to grab an exact part for us. I would 100% recommend!

James was awesome. It's Christmas eve and I was expecting a lot of guests. Of course everything clogged up, but James was able to come within 30 minutes of the call and took care of the issue. Everything flows great now. Definitely would recommend this to others.
Responsive Plumbing lives up to its name! James was very helpful and sent Alberto out on a Sunday, which a lot of other plumbing companies would not do. James remained in communication with us every step of the way throughout the day. Alberto showed up on time (a few minutes early even), and was able to fix the issue in a timely manner. James even called after the job was done to follow up. I would definitely recommend them any time that you are in need of plumbing services!!

Easiest 5-star rating I've given this year.
Had a pretty significant clog out of nowhere that was causing grey/black water to back up in our kitchen and bathroom sink simultaneously. I called James at 1:30 PM on a Saturday and they were booked solid, but he assured me that he could have someone come out at 10 AM the next morning.
He clearly stated the price up front, which was more than fair and I really appreciated the transparency. He even gave some general plumbing recommendations that were helpful.
William showed up at 9:30 the next morning, face mask on and ready to get to work. Very friendly, totally professional and he stated the agreed upon price. Little things like that build a lot of trust and will definitely ensure repeat business from us.
He was done in less than 30 minutes and even went to go grab some cleaning supplies from his truck so he could clean up under the sink. How cool is that? We really appreciated his thoughtfulness and warm personality.
Really grateful that we could do business with Responsive, but I hope we don't have to call them again anytime soon!

what can I say. James and William are awesome. I just moved into the area and needed a plumber. Let me start by saying the landlord decided to try and do some of his own plumbing, which once I moved in I needed someone to fix. Found these guys and wont look anymore. James was extremely quick responding to me and sent William out the next day. I even had them come back a second occasion which I am very satisfied with as well. down to earth small business owners, Responsive plumbing is the way to go. I've already referred them to a couple friends around the area. Thanks guys
I had a clogged and they were able to come out same day. But what made Responsive Plumbing receive 5 stars from me was they stand behind their service. Since they're unable to access the main line the first time they had to unclogged thru the roof. After a couple of days the issue was back and they're able to come out same day and this time with a little help from me, able to access the main line and now everything is good. One of the plumbers, William, was awesome. He's friendly, professional, and most importantly knows what he's doing. I'll definitely will use them again.
Good service, on time, work completed timely and at a fair price, courteous crew. James was thorough on the work to be done and with what we should expect for a repipe of our home. I'd recommend them for plumbing needs.

We've had numerous plumbing issues over the past 3 years in our home and numerous plumbers out to fix the same problems & spent an unnecessary amount of money. Since then, we have called James for a few jobs and he is completely honest, does not try to up-sale us (like all contractors have in the past) and completes his jobs in a timely and efficient manner. I'm not pleased with how they installed the glass door of my new tub that they installed. Why would you install a handle that sticks out so much on the inside glass dooor of the shower?
The tub is so narrow bcuz of that inside door handle that sticks out so much I feel I can't even turn shoulder to shoulder without touching the sides of the tub .
Try to ask them to reinstall that door but no 'response.'
Will call another plumber to finish the job .
Extremely fast response time from inquiry to completion of work. The guys that showed up were professional and had a great attitude. I will absolutely call them whenever I need a plumber. A+++ service!

What can I say, they went above and beyond. First they showed up on time. We were given a window of 2-4 and they showed up at 1:50. We called them out because our bathroom sink was completely stopped up, Unfortunately it was not an easy fix. The plumbing in our house is 50+ years old and what was supposed to be an easy job ended up taking longer than expected but Josh took his time and made sure everything was fixed correctly. Because the house is so old some of the pipes needed to be replaced and they did it but I was only charged what I was quoted. As I mentioned before Josh was great, very courteous. Poor guy was here for almost 5 hours and never lost his cool, he's a better man than I am. I am pretty handy and can do most things myself plus I always feel like I am going to spend more than I should but I most say I would highly recommend these guys to anyone.
So I wanted to add to this review. Later that evening when we were going to bed we noticed the sink was still not draining properly so my wife called which was now 10:15 at night and left a message and she received a txt back a few minutes later letting us know that they would come back out the next day and fix the problem. The following day the owner showed up with two other guys. They spent about another hour and finally got the drain to completely unclogged. My wife said the owner James was great, she said he was very adamant that they were willing to do what ever was necessary to fix it because that is what they committed to do.
It seems these days good customer service is harder to find so it was so awesome to see these guys still knew what it was. I honestly can't say enough good things about this outfit, they are absolutely top notch. If you want a quality outfit I can't think of anything out there better than them. They have a customer for life.
I've used this company about 5-6 times now. William T. came out today to snake my storm drain. unfortunately he told me that i have a broken pipe in the ground. William is super polite and reliable. very skilled plumbers at this company. I'm just awaiting the estimate. Very solid company and great straight forwardness. difficult to find conscientious plumbers like responsive.

I will never work with Responsive Plumbing again and they do not stand behind their work!!! Caused me thousands of dollars of damage due to faulty workmanship and denied responsibility. I called them out to do a simple stem replacement on a shower diverter that was causing the shower head to drip water. At the same time I had them replace the hot and cold water stems in the shower while they were at it. A few days after they did this work the tenant below starts complaining about a water leak from the upstairs bathroom. I call Responsive back out to check their work, they said it was fine and then send me an estimate for thousands more in unnecessary work!!! I bring in another plumber at this point who finds the cause of the water leak to be a missing washer on the stem replacement by Responsive Plumbing. Responsive Plumbing still refused to correct the damage or even issue a refund for their defective work.
Called James after getting estimates from other plumbers (which were outrageous). He gave me a general quote over the phone that was a third of the other estimates, with the caveat that it could change if there were additional problems. He gave me a time when he would be out and was there when he said he'd be. He was nice, professional and efficient. And the repair cost no more than he said over the phone. Responsive is a good name for the company! If you need a qualified professional plumber call this guy.
If you want a good plumber, James is the man. Great attitude, very professional, knowledgeable, clean work!! He will be my plumber from now on and I will recommend him to anyone needing a plumber.

I read the reviews on Yelp and I'm so glad I gave James a chance. He came out today to replace our water heater and bring it up to code. He also fixed a ridiculously leaky shower. James is professional, knowledgeable, polite, patient (my dad was hovering over him while he was working), and his work is clean. I was impressed so I have also requested him to go check out a rental property. I would recommend Responsive Plumbing - at first I was hesitant because of all the great reviews, but they're true! I did get 3 quotes and Responsive Plumbing was the lowest.
***UPDATE*** James worked on the rental property and did awesome work. Our contractor was so impressed and said we have great plumber who went above and beyond.

Responded first to my request for estimates. Gave me straight numbers instantly, no games. Hired them again this time to do 2 new toilet install/haul aways on the 3rd floor.
Billy & Jimmy showed up at 9am sharp, friendly and ready to go. During install they discovered the need for longer supply lines and they hustled out to grab the needed parts. Later they found a gasket clogging one of the toilets and saved me a chunk of money by simply getting it out.
I appreciated that they didn't make up something random to charge me for extra work. Business honest and integrity counts for a lot today.

Responsive Plumbing is true to its name. I sent them an inquiry/message on Yelp regarding a leak issue at our business and they replied back immediately. We were able to set an appointment the next day. James, the owner got at the site early and was already able to diagnose the problem and gave me a reasonable quote. He came back the next day, earlier than expected again, and was able to complete the job at the estimated time.
I then contracted him to hydrajet my sewer line at home. Again he came by on time, inspected my sewer line with a camera, then suggested there is no need to do a hydrajet. But instead, he explained to me other options to fix whatever issues I was having with my sewer line and offered to send me a quote. I only paid him a small amount for that home inspection.
Responsive plumbing is very professional, prompt, efficient, and offers fair pricing. Highly recommend them.
As I said in my last review I would use them again and I did last week. They were on time, very professional, and did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend them to my family and friends. They make a unpleasant experience pleasant and take pride in their workmanship. I'd give this company 10 stars if I could they earned them.
I was very impressed with the speed that responsive plumbing gave me. I had an appointment at 11 AM and their men were here at 10:45!! Pretty good for a contractor in Southern California! Make a long story short, I needed a new fitting under the sink which rusted out and they fixed that in about 20 minutes, and they also repaired a bad valve that a previous contractor had installed less than two years ago which had failed. They were clean, they were friendly, and they were on time! That's five stars in my book!

1. Arrived right on time as scheduled. Not a minute late.
2. Diagnosed the problem, and quoted a fair rate
3. Got the job done and guaranteed his work for 30 days.
That's everything that I could ask for in a plumber. I would definitely use him again
I called James to come out and take care of a clogged bathroom sink. He said he would be there between 1-3 pm. the next day. We waited until after 2:30, then called a total of 3 times, throughout the afternoon to see if they were still coming, with no answer. As of this review, they have not called back to reschedule, or a courtesy call to apologize for having us wait around all afternoon. Wasted day. I won't be (trying) to use this company again. RUDE!
I had sent a picture to James, the owner, and asked how much a job will cost to repair what my contractor did. He quoted me $75 just to switch out that left/right nipple so we set the appt for 10:00am the next day. Next day, 10:20am comes around and I texted to see where the technician were and he said a job was taking more time. Well, I waited 11:30 rolls around and 12:30 rolls around and the technician showed and I was never updated on the status of when he will come or what was going on. I asked the technician what the problem was when he arrived and he said his car broke down. He looked at the job and said it will cost $215 since he had to go and get a part to add versus doing what James said. I rejected the job. Therefore I got another plumber to do the job that said switching out that left and right nipple$100.
Had a solid clog on kitchen sink and unit that shares same water wall was also clogged. This was in the early evening and I had a busy next day so needed it fixed pronto. Called Responsive Plumbing within 20 minutes had a confirmation that help was on the way and an agreed on price. Within one hour from initial call two plumbers were on my doorstep to fix the problem. Needed to tackle the problem from both units. Before the evening was over water was flowing freely and the recent problem of tiny ants invading my kitchen has not recurred

EXCELLENT experience with James at Responsive Plumbing! We have a 13 year old Water Heater that stopped producing hot water and some we called only wanted to replace with new. We thought a small repair was needed. We were unexperienced since we haven't touched it in 9 years. However, after gas was shutoff to the house we thought we couldn't get the pilot light turned on which was why it wasn't producing hot water. James thought it could have been a bad thermocouple so he brought one along to replace it. However, it was our inexperience in putting the knob in the correct position after lighting it; which we didn't even think was lit! James came and within 1 minute got it lit. Palm to face on us! He stuck around for 10 minutes to make sure there was hot water. It did of course fix our problem. I went to pay but he kindly declined because of operator error! I mean good honest people not looking to make a quick buck but establish a working relationship. He now has our business for any future plumbing project upcoming and I wholeheartedly endorse him for your project. Hopefully, we can get another 5 years out of this water heater and we will call Responsive to do the work on a new one.

Excellent!! William is so accommodating and pleasant to work with. They came out and installed the new drain and water access to the garage and moved the washer and dryer to the garage. They also moved the refrigerator to another part of the kitchen with the new water valve, this really opened up my kitchen. thank you guys for a great job!!
Contacted through yelp and replied with quote and time for appointment pretty quickly. However, scheduled a time and gave me a 2 hour window on a Monday. I left work early and no one came! No phone call either. Will not contact again.
I obtained three estimates to replace an unusual shower value. Out of the three I chose Responsive Plumbing because of their availability and the fact that they did not charge to come out to give an estimate for the work. The two technician, Alberto and Josh, that came from Responsive Plumbing were highly qualified, polite and friendly. Because the valve was not readily available, after going to a local plumbing supply place, they repaired the valve so that it would work. They took pictures of the valve, so if it needed to be replaced in the future they would be able to order the valve before coming out. I thought the charges were fair and I would definitely use this service again.
I wish I could give them 10 stars. Great service by both men who came. Only drawback is now we have to wash dishes. Lol.
We called Responsive plumbing as they were approved plumber by our HOA. I made an appointment for them to come out and explain everything I need it done. Confirmed on the day prior to the appointment. Day of the appointment I got a call that one of their employees had been exposed to Covid. This meant they had to come out the next day which we said was OK. They arrived on time and explained everything and did everything we needed them to do. They were in and out in less than an hour. Pricing was reasonable and James the owner was great.

Good company that was responsive in email and was on time
Right price and very professional
We had a hard clog in kitchen sink that would drain very slowly after backing up. I personally snaked it and it just got worse! would drain at all!
Booked Responsive Plumbing to help. Our service technician, William, was running ahead and called to see if he could come early. Of course!
He was courteous and within 30 minutes had the sink draining like new. He left the sink area very clean. I would recommend Responsive Plumbing to anyone.
