I called Rapid Rooter to replace a shower mix valve and check the solder joints in the walls. There was a leak from the previous plumbing company when I did a remodel.

The tech showed up when scheduled, was very polite, friendly, and knew his stuff. He quickly pointed out that I bought an incorrect replacement fixture which made him unable to complete the project. After I brought back the fixture that fit, he quickly returned and finished the project. He cleaned everything up well.

I know I could have gotten a cheaper plumber, but then I could end up with the same problem later. I'd definitely use Rapid Rooter again.

A Rapid First Tech came to help my neighbors. I am extremely amazed to how inconsiderate and unprofessional he was. Not only did he block more than half of our driveway for over 5 hours, he emptied his wet vacuum on the street leaving debris behind. When I asked him to pick up the mess he made, he simply threw more trash on the ground and disregard me. Is this the type of customer service you guys provide?

Only reason 1 star is being given is because 0 stars isn't an option...came home to a surprise leak from an outdoor spigot into our partially installed porcelain tile floors in the kitchen..called this company and the unsure receptionist said someone would be out in 2-3 hours to the tune of $272. That was at 10:30pm. We agreed too it as there isn't much of an option when it comes to 24/7 plumbers. 12:15 am rolls around (45 mind before the 2-3 hour window is up) and receptionist calls to see if we still wanted to keep the scheduled appointment because if the repairman comes out still he can diagnostic the problem for $272 then would have to turn around and come back a few hours later to physically repair and charge again ...drove business away, wasted our time, and very unprofessional. We're supposed to have our tile flooring installation, hardwood flooring installation finished at 8am sharp. Not happening as our time was wasted, leak got worse! Bravo Rapid Rooter, bravo!

We were dealing with a clogged toilet in our upstairs master bathroom. I assumed because of was upstairs that it was going to cost me an arm and a leg for them to possibly remove the toilet and fish out whatever was blocking it. I called and requested a quote because I'd never seen called a plumbing service before. I thought the quote was more than fair. He then asked if I was ready for service within 30 minutes!! They came over right away. Solved my problem quickly and efficiently. Then gentlemen then educated me on what he thought my issue was and how to avoid it in the future. He was in and out of my home in less than 15 minutes. And charged me about 20 dollars less than I was quoted over the phone! I'll be calling you guys again if I'm ever in need of your services. Thanks!!

The technician was good, and did his job well. My problem is that I paid with credit card, gave my email address and never got a receipt. Easy to take my money but no receipt? The paperwork had the wrong first name. Not even close. I feel disrespected since I hate that name. Will think twice if I can't get a receipt for what I paid, especially went I type the email on his tablet.

I called them in the early afternoon for a non-urgent issue, and they were out and the problem fixed by evening. Very responsive! Ronaldo did a great job, answered questions my husband had (and he tends to have a lot of questions!), and was friendly, even to my dogs, who have to greet everyone who comes to the house. I will definitely use them again - keeping that business card handy!

After my home warranty assigned me a plumber that didn't answer their phone, I reach out to Rapid First because I had heard from a neighbor that they're exceptional. Sure enough, the whole experience was perfect.

Cheerful receptionist said they could send someone out immediately and less than an hour later my stopped up kitchen sink was fixed. Smooth, professional, painless, and affordable.

They maybe rapid, but beware, they are expensive. They charge hourly fee additional to the work itself.

When you go change your oil on your car, do they charge you $29 for oil change and $200/hourly rate ? No... they charge you $29 for oil change.

A huge thank you to Rapid Rooter and Steven for fixing my laundry room issue this morning. When I called this morning I didn't expect to get an appointment within 1 hour of my call. Steven was punctual, professional, and explained in detail the problem and the fix. The total bill came in much lower than his estimate. As a new home buyer, I'm not savvy with plumbing and will definitely be contacting Rapid Rooter the next time I need plumbing help.

If I could give 10 stars I would but since I can't 5 will have to do. I had Jake come and service my home this evening (Mothers day) and he was absolutely amazing.! Not only was he here 2 hours later (only because he was on a job when I called) but he fix our plumbing issue and cleared our lines in less than an hour. He had EXCELLENT customer service skills and didn't even mind my 4 and 5 year old sons bothering him.! If you need any plumbing issues resolved please call Lisa and ask for Jake. Both Lisa and Jake turned this graphole (literally) situation into a very stress free visit.! Thank you guys again for coming on such short notice when you should've been home at this hour.

Absolutely wonderful customer service. I had called another company 2 days ago. They did not fix the problem. Told me to buy a shower guard. Today the whole bathroom floor was flooded again. Called Rapid First they showed up within 3 hours of my panic call. Fixed my problem. They will be my plumber of choice! Manual was marvelous and kind..

Called at 7:05 to inquire about having a service person come out and snake a line. The phone was answered by a woman who said how can I provide excellent customer service? It went downhill from there. Lady on the line was snotty, demeaning and generally a cranky, pissy person. She said on average it is 90 minutes for each call so no one will be there until after 10am. Hmmm 7-10 is 3 hours not 90 mins but putting her inability to tell time aside, I said fine. Then I waited, and waited. 10, 11, 12 ... no service person. I call back, she responds, oh yes we tried to call, no one answered. I asked what number she dialed (since I have put off everything waiting for rapid Rooter and haven't left my phone,) and she recites back wrong number, hinting that I must have told her the wrong number. Yes lady, it must have been me since I am unfamiliar with my own number and haven't used it for the last 11 years?? Unreal. Then she said she will have a person right over. 12, 12:30, 1...I called her back and told her to forget it, to which she replies,that's just fine.

Customer service, zero. To Rapid Rooter owners, tell the inane pinhead answering the phones to get her act together. Ill never use Rapid Rooter and I suggest you look elsewhere too. There are a lot of nice, professional plumbers out there that treat you with respect. Go to them, not these rude, unprofessional pinheads.

We had our water heater go out, and needed a company who could figure out how to fit a newer, maybe bigger more efficient water heater into an older home. They sent over two guys that looked over the spot, gave us a bid, and although it wasnt the lowest bid-kinda the middle price bid- I went with them because I knew from previous times I have called out Rapid Rooter, for sewer backups, that they were FAR superior to the penny saver guys I have used long ago, and frankly, better than at least TWO of the big plumbing companies we have called in town. They got it installed, cleaned up, and I can relax because I know it was done right, with no hassles. Best experience with any sac area plumber, hands down.

So disappointed in their dishonesty. I've used them for a few years, but today their quote was $175 an hour plus parts. What they didn't disclose was they grossly mark up the parts price, adding over $100 to the parts cost. Crooks. Won't use them again.

First time we have ever need a plumber, contacted Rapid Rooter and right on schedule, Marshall Mickelson, Jr. arrived.

I explained the issue to Marshall. Personally uneducated in the field of plumbing, I was prepared to hear him to start talking about technical terms i did not know and ask me to give him all my money. complete opposite!!!

he simply explained that what we where experiencing was not an issue and was harmless and that it did not need any repairs. He also gave us some future tips on things we should prepare to replace as the home gets older and we plan on renting it out.

Marshall Mickelson is and honest man in an industry which has a bad reputation for taking advantage of uneducated consumers. Thank You!!!! my myself my wife and the dobermans.

Rapid First Plumbing has been serving our Davis home for several years, inside and out. Their service has always been prompt and prices fair (sometimes even voluntarily discounted). As these problems go, we often called outside of normal business hours. Office support has always been friendly and efficient. The one time a large plumbing problem delayed their usual fast service, our normal plumber, Michael, still made the time to come out and do a quick check as to the seriousness of the problem (upstairs toilet soaking ceiling). We were given an assessment of the problem, offered another plumber within Rapid First Plumbing who could come out immediately, or a timeframe when Michael could return. We waited for Michael. We're happy with Rapid First Plumbing.

Short version:
Meghan from rapid first plumbing was dishonest. I do not recommend rfp bring your hard earn honest cash elsewhere
Long version:
I had a leak in my toilet and was recommended RFP by friend and by yelp. Called and Meghan picked up. I told her my issue and she was going to send someone out. I then asked her about the cost for them to send someone out and she said 175/hr plus parts. That didn't answer my question about how much it will cost for them to evaluate my problem. So I asked her again about the fee for the guy to come in to diagnose the issue and she says 175/hr and they will give me a quote on the total fee before I start. Again that didn't answer my question so I asked her how much will it cost me for the guy to come out today. Then with a slight annoyed attitude, she says it's free for them to come and look and once they have a quote it will be 175 an hour plus parts. Skip forward 3 hrs, the tech came (Travis s5) and I showed him the problem. After checking it out he told me I should buy a new toilet and they can install it for me. I was like great I'll get it and call them back. He said it'll roughly take an hour so about 200 to get it installed. I was okay with that and he told me to call them once I buy the toilet. Then he proceeded to write me a bill for 75 dollars for today's evaluation (service charge). I was a bit confused and told him what Meghan told me. He calls Meghan and she tells him she only told me about the hourly rate. At this point I am extremely disappointed. I don't mind the service charge. The guy came out and did honest work and should be compensated with the fees set. However, what I am livid about is the dishonesty Meghan showed. If she would have just told me the truth or told Travis the truth, things would be easier. In this type of business, trust is far more important. Needless to say I will not be calling rapid first plumbing anytime soon and I will definitely not recommend this dishonest place to anyone. I will also make sure none of my family/friends visit rfp. You never know when they will perform a bait and switch on you. STAY AWAY! More honest plumber out there!

Called three other places to clear a clog before calling Rapid Rooter. All others were unable to come out the same evening due to scheduling conflicts. Michael arrive in less than 90 min and immediately got to work. He spent a good amount of time attempting to find my clean out drain in the front of my house. He event went as far as to go down the street to ask my neighbor, who had the same layout, if they had a clean out. Unfortunately, they didn't which meant my house didn't either. He was kind enough to do all this before charging 100$ for a scope to find the clean out, saving me 100$!

He offered to put in a clean out, but we weren't ready to do that at the moment. So we opted to have him pull the toilet and run a snake to clear the clog. Michael was fast, CLEAN and very friendly.

My wife and I were extremely happy with his service and will be using this company again.

The technicians are all careful and the one who came today showed up in a mask. He had to work through the drain clean out in the back of house, so was careful to come through the back, as to not soil the carpet. This company is very competent and always call to confirm close to appointment, as to when the technician/plumber will arrive. They are polite as well. And the best part of all is that they come quickly and know exactly how to solve any problem you may have. My family has used them for years and we live in Davis. Thanks Rapid First!

First time getting a plumbing service. Yelp has proven to be so helpful! The lady (Sabrina) who picked up my call was extremely courteous and walked me through the process. Same day appointment was set up for my parents house. (Water from washing machine came up from the bath tub drain) The guy showed up on time and cleaned the main drain for my parents'. He was in and out in half an hour. Super friendly and professional. I would go to them again should there be another plumbing problem. (Though we are hoping we don't have to use their service again soon)

Total rip off. Be careful with these guys. They use to charge a flat rate to clear a drain, but are now $175 per hour. Now there is nothing wrong with charging by the hour, but you have to be honest about it. The plumber they send out to me was not very experienced and in my opinion was a crook, because he probably gets some cut of commission. So there is a conflict of interest and no incentive to be honest.

I recently called these guys out to clear a drain for my business and the plumber that came out wrote down his arrival time a whole 12 minutes before the actual time. And when he left he took another 11 extra minutes to write up the invoice for a single drain which should have already been pretty much done in the proposal. Doesn't seem like much right? But in the end I was billed 1.5 hours. After the 1 hour minimum they bill in increments of 15 minutes for a total of $262.50 (43.75 per 15 minutes). I didn't have a problem with $175 and I probably would have been okay with 1.25 hours at the most. But 1.5 hours was a total rip off and you can just tell when someone is being dishonest when we asked about how did he came up with 1.5 hours he couldn't really explain why his time on the proposal was different from the time he arrived on our parking lot on our security footage. When we called the company the next day, we were able to confirm that their own GPS tracking on their van has a time stamp that supported our security footage. They had no explanation, but we were told to leave a message for the Service Manager, which we did but didn't receive a response.

So I figured since I paid 87.50 more than what I know was right, it's probably not worth the hassle to pursue this and if I can just prevent 1 or 2 potential customers from being ripped off then I've done my part for my fellow yelpers. I will not be and will advise others not to use Rapid Rooter ever again.

Rapid Rooter is our go to company for plumbing problems! Their servicemen are professional, knowledgeable & efficient. Dustin spent almost five hours replacing a rotted out piece of pipe under our house, and he was very friendly, honest and patient. His estimate came in $150.00 less than originally quoted and we couldn't be happier with the outcome of having perfectly clear & clean plumbing. I will certainly recommend this company to all my friends & neighbors. Companies like this Sacramento Rapid Rooter stay in business because of the excellent service & service technicians they hire!

Okay, you have heard it before, but hear it again. All toilets in the house backed up and was coming back out the tub. Yes, my morning business was now floating in the tub.

I needed someone to come out quick to handle the issue and solve the problem right away. Many companies I called said we can be there later today...Not what I wanted. Yes, I am demanding as most may know, but Rapid Rooter handled it very quickly. I was told the technician would be out to my house in about an hour, and bam! There he was On Time. (Master) Luke was my technician and he helped to diagnose the problem and went straight to work on it. He cleared out the main drain line and everything was flowing as it should. He even had me test it out multiple time to double/triple check the line was clear. I got to see the problem as he showed me what the issue was. Roots were getting into the line causing a blockage. Luke Rooted it out and cleared the lines in no time.

This was my first time using Rapid Rooter, but will definitely not be the last. They are going into my book for helpful people to call.

Pros:
1. Wore boot covers into my house to not get it dirty. (Much appreciated)
2. On time.
3. Reasonable Rates.
4. Quick diagnosis and repair.
5. Personable technician willing to educate.
6. Not having to shower/bathe in my *(&&(%!

Cons:
1. I had to go back to work.

Trust me, if you get (Master) Luke from Rapid Rooters, you will not be disappointed.

I had a leak in my front yard by the main shut off valve so I called Rapid First Plumping. It was too late in the day for someone to come out so they promised to arrive first thing in the morning and at least diagnose the problem. They arrived on time and explained how they would figure out the source of the leak. After some digging they found that a 90 degree pvc pipe had cracked and needed to be replaced. They were very accommodating and offered to continue with the repair even though it was a last minute appointment. They gave me an estimate and completed the repair quickly for the price they quoted. This is not the first time I have called them for an issue that needed an immediate response. Great people to work with, very professional and they are very fast to respond when you need them.

I was referred to Rapid First by Pocket Plumbing, who was booked all day.
My bathtub and shower were clogged and flooded my bathroom.
Rapid First came out the same day and within the hour.
Sci was friendly professional quick and I believe honest.
I would definitely recommend Rapid First Plumbing. And kudos to Pocket Plumbing for the referral.

My toilet decided to back up and have me plunging for 2 25 minute intervals to no avail. Realizing the clog was going no where and desperate to use the bathroom, I had no choice but to find someone to come out. I called after my mini meltdown, still upset at the situation and spoke to the dispatcher. She asked a few questions then we hung up. She called me back less than 5 minutes later to see if my apartments had a contract with their company. Unfortunately they did not. I asked her how long it would be until someone arrived. She told me about 30 minutes or so. Approximately 30 minutes later the gentleman showed up. I apologized for the lingering aroma floating in the air. Ya you know where I'm going with this. So I will spare the details. Anyway he took a look, gave me a quote, went back to his truck and returned with a snake. 2 minutes later my toilet is unclogged, I'm paying and he's on his way. If I need them again I will call but I'm hoping I don't. I would recommend this company.

A minor leak in my 16 year old water heater turned into a major leak today. I contacted several companies to get some rough estimates of the cost of replacement and find out how quickly they could install. Tyler and Chris showed up ready to install this afternoon (once they procured the water heater). They were not the least expensive but were in the ballpark and their deal includes an annual drain and preventive maintenance service along with a commitment to provide free labor on any repairs that may be required over the life of the unit. They installed a Bradford White Defender water heater which has a solid reputation as a high quality American made water heater. I also appreciated the time they took to explain how the system works and, especially, the procedure for lighting the pilot which is very simple on this particular unit.

We had some tree roots growing into our main drain. Kevin Bailey was dispatched out to our home the following day. He was very friendly, helpful, and professional. He addressed the problem with ease and finesse. The drain was unclogged within 30 minutes. I found Rapid Rooter thanks to Yelp. And based on their great reviews here I decided to get them out for an emergency - to unclog a backed up sewage line.

Jake came out about 30-40 minutes after I called Rapid Rooter, arriving at around 7PM. He was friendly, efficient, honest and very professional, and he did an excellent job in both unclogging our blocked sewage line and in assessing the health of the sewage line.

I would definitely called these guys out again, and would certainly recommend them to others.

Our toilet backed up and flooded the back of the house about a month after fly by night plumbing guaranteed all was well. It was well after hours and a nice thunderstorm was drenching the property. Rapid rooter was the only only company that would send someone out that night. We were lucky enough to have Charles Mitchell sent out to us. From the moment he arrived he made sure we understood that wherever the problem was he would fix it. He was correct. He was courteous and considerate throughout his entire visit. It took over and hour to find and fix the problem and at nine o'clock at night those are admirable traits. If we ever have any plumbing issues again we are going to give Charles a call.

This company was recommended by our usual plumber as they had no openings all month. Called in the morning, and we were given a time of 4-6 and they would call if there was an earlier opening. We got a call that someone was available and en route. 2 hours later, I called to check, and was told that there was an emergency and we still had our initial time slot. Called them back again at 6:30 and got the same story, but now they would come in the morning at 11. In the meantime, our problem worsened, spreading to another room. And throughout it all, no communication about the delays unless I contacted them. Very unprofessional practices and now we have a really extreme mess that could have been minimized with timely service.

I called them out to get an estimate and after getting a few estimates we decided to go with them because they were the lowest and I felt comfortable with their technician Jeremy. We had had a spraying spigot main in front of the house and our water line to our refrigerator was leaking. A total puddle job! He had if et done in less than 30 minutes and he even lowered the estimate 25 bucks on the spot! This is a reputable way of doing business! Thanks!

Chris was the plumber that showed up
I heeded a hot water line replaced in the bath. His work was slow as molasses, he cut up some pipe but couldn;t repair the problem. making the problem worse. He wanted to use flex pipe to a bathtub facuet that required some structual support. After he spent an hour doing about 20 minutes worth of work he claimed he needed to tear out my kitchen wall to do the finish the job,. At this point it told him to go away, I finished the job on my own with out needing to tear out any kitchen wall.
Needless to say this plumber is more then a little incompetent. I ended up paying $175 to make he problem worse then it was and ended doing the repair my self.
Also he pointed out a problem that would have been a 15 min repair but made no offer to do the repair

I will avoid using the company in the future and would never recommend then

Coming back from short weekend trip out of town, the last thing I needed was something to remind me why I even left in the first place. Well, that's exactly what happened when I came home from a short relaxing vacation to a leaking toilet. Granted, it wasn't over flooded with poop and other nasty stuff. It was just when I flushed it; water would just start seeping out and get all over the baseboards and cabinets. So I immediately get on Yelp and start searching for a plumber because this is the last thing I want to deal with at 11:30 p.m. after half a day of traveling. I came upon Rapid Rooter plumbing which happened to be open 24 hours. I was greeted by a friendly customer service rep, and I proceeded to give her all the information she needed only to find out that the previous owner of the house have had service done before (no, I am NOT Cynthia, thank you!). She informed me that a technician can come out that very night, but the hourly rate would be over $200, but if I wanted a technician come out in the morning, it'll be $164, not including parts. I chose the latter, obviously.

The next day, the technician came out at the time frame promised. They called me prior to him coming to let me know he was on his way. Steve, the guy who came out, was very friendly. He assessed the damage within 5 minutes and gave me the cost of everything and then proceeded to fix my toilet immediately. He was done within maybe 15 minutes, and he did a good job of cleaning everything up for me.

If anything in my house breaks again that requires a plumber in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to give Rapid Rooter a call again, even with the crazy hourly rate! I'd rather pay a large upfront cost than having to spend more money in the future for damages done if I don't get it taken care of immediately.

Purchased a new gas range just to find that because of the previous gas line placement, the new stove stuck out 6 from the wall.

I called Rapid Rooter to get an estimate, and an employee, Dustin, was there within the hour. After seeing what the job entailed, he said he could do it immediately and that it would take under an hour. By shortening and repositioning the existing line, he was able to get my new stove to fit nicely and to my liking. It was especially great not to have to wait for a future time slot, and I may have just been lucky with timing, but it was very nice to have such prompt service. I also feel very confident with any of the safety issues that may be involved with gas line repairs.

Thanks again for the courteous, speedy and thorough service. We will definitely contact Rapid Rooter for our future plumbing needs.

We strongly recommend Rapid Rooter and plumber Charles Washington for their excellent service. Charles scoped our sewer pipe and carefully explained his diagnosis. He installed the new clean-out and repaired a root damaged pipe. You could tell he took great pride in his work. He was friendly, efficient, and experienced. A few weeks ago a neighbor- friend had Rapid Rooter come at night for an emergency sewer backup.
Charles impressed me with his service then too. Their receptionist was wonderful to work with too. This is a five star company!

oilets in my upstairs bathrooms were plugged up. Tried for hours to snake myself with no success. Called Rapid First Plumbing and they were able to schedule to come out that same day. The technician was very polite, wore a mask, and booty. The technician, Joe, was equipped with the right tools and heavy duty equipment for the job at hand.

Joe was very knowledgeable and provided me with a fair estimate before proceeding with the job. The final cost was within the amount estimated and was reasonable, but more importantly, the blockage was removed and both toilets are now flushing perfectly.

Rapid First Plumbing will be the first plumbers I call for future jobs.

Charles Washington, Tech #73, showed up within an hour of placing the call:-) He was extremely professional, polite and knowledgeable. This is the second time we needed to have the sewer line cleared and I really wanted to know why this keeps happening. Charles suggested that he could snake a camera through the pipes so we could actually see what was going on. As disgusting as that sounded I agreed. It turned out that the line from the house to the street was fine but the city clay pipe was disintegrating and had roots growing right through the pipe walls. Charles patiently allowed me to video tape his live camera feed so that I could share his findings with the city workers when they come out. A big thanks to Rapid Rooter and Charles and, I mean this is the nicest possible way....I hope not to see you again:-)))!

Had a blockage in the main line yesterday, and one of our shower drains was backing up badly. Had a lot of disgusting looking stuff in the shower pan! I called my regular guy, but they couldn't make it out until late Monday. That was going to be a 4 day wait! Well, my wife wasn't going for that, so I started a search for another company. Long story short, I read reviews about Rapid Rooter, and gave them a call. The nice lady who answered the phone, said she could have someone over in about 90 minutes. So, in about an hour, I got a followup call saying the tech would be at my house in 30 minutes. And sure enough, he was right on time. His name was Travis, and he was a very nice and professional young man. He went right to work after introductions etc, and proceeded snaking my line from the main clean out out front. The culprit was a small ball of tree roots. He cleaned the lines out thoroughly, and also, which I didn't expect, dropped a camera down, and let me see the whole line going out to the street. It all looked good. He also said it would be a fairly easy fix later on, if I wanted to repair the joint that was allowing the roots to come in. He also pin pointed right where the joint was so if I wanted to dig and expose it myself, it would save me a lot of money when I decided to have it repaired. The total cost was more than I usually pay, but just the fact they came out when I needed them, seem to make it all worth it. Plus, having the camera there, was a bonus. No one really wants to ever have to call a plumber, but when you have to, it's nice to know that there's good ones out there like Travis and Rapid Rooter! I wouldn't hesitate to call them again!

All other plumbers are pussy compared to Jeremy at Rapid Rooter Plumbing. If you're reading this, you have a situation you need handled. Guess what? I don't have a problem anymore. Because I called whatever their number is and shit GOT HANDLED.

He also had a tool that was half the size of his van. In a horror flick, that van would come alive and kill you. Like really easily. Picture like, your car. THAT was the size just some random tool he had in his van. WHO HAS THAT KIND OF STUFF?

Rapid First Plumbing was able to schedule a plumber to come out to our home immediately. We were so grateful for this as we were in the midst of a bathroom remodel that required immediate attention as to not cause a delay. We had the pleasure of having DeMarcus fix an annoying leaking plumbing issue that another company failed to resolve. The dispatcher communicated with us estimated arrival time and kept us informed making us feel apart of the process. DeMarcus arrived on time, with a mask on, and had a great personality. He didn't perform a rush job or take any shortcuts, and made recommendations that were missed by the previous company. He was patient with us, as we were not totally prepared with the shower kit needed to complete the job. The company name says it all - they are RAPID! I had a septic tank cleaned and the provider detected roots in the leech line. He recommended Rapid Rooter and I phoned before he left. Raymond was at my home in about 2 hours!! He provided a quote for the services before he began the job. He worked his magic with the rooter and replaced a toilet valve within in hour.

Worst experience ever. EVER. We live in an upstairs apartment. Our pipe started leaking on a Friday night and flooded our downstairs neighbor. We were told by maintenance that Rapid Rooter would be out Monday morning. They showed up during our 7pm dinner Monday night, stayed for 10 minutes to tell us yes, there is a leak and told us they would be back Tuesday. But wait- it gets better: we had to work Monday, so our apartment complex let the plumber into our unit. We came home to drywall and leaded paint chips all over our kitchen floor (we have little kids, by the way!), our tupperware was used as a drip pan (Yum!), and our air conditioner was not only turned on but also turned down to 73 degrees (it's OCTOBER! really couldn't open one of the two Windows in our kitchen?). That wasn't even the best part. We have a handheld stirrer for our 8 month old son's formula. The plumber dropped it down our garbage disposal and didn't tell us. After searching our kitchen high and low, we discovered it when we ran the garbage disposal and it was destroyed (along with our garbage disposal). I would recommend hiring a hobo before hiring this company.

RAPID and VERY EXPENSIVE !

As a property manager in Sacramento, I called for a price to pick up a will call paid for toilet at Home Depot near the property with accessories, remove and haul away old toilet , install new toilet. Rapid First Plumbing will not give a quote on the phone, so a technician came out to give an estimate. ( ok)

Pros- Estimator -Rapid and nice

Cons- Charges minimum of $240/hr plus parts. Anticipates job will take a minimum of 3 hours to pick up and change out a toilet.

With so many other more fairly priced plumbers in Sacramento, I do not know how they justify this hourly rate? Good for them if they can get it- but as a property manager of multiple commercial properties, I could not recommend this company due to the cost.

2ed time I have called out Rapid Rooter. Put in a call at 5 pm and was planning for next day service But no the dispatcher said we can be there in an hour.
And right on time Luke showed up I showed him the clean out and away he went. About 40 min later clog is gone and all is cleaned up.
Now for the best part the bill was 20.00 dollars cheaper than last time they came out. Luke you did a wonderful job and are a really nice guy.

Monday morning. Everyone is in a hurry to leave. The sewer was clogged and everything turned pretty messy. I called Rapid Rooter who I had used before not only for our home, but also for my Mom's. I called the local number which is 916-334-3140 and was given friendly helpful service immediately by Amber. She said not to worry she would dispatch Kevin right away. Kevin arrived within about 15 to 20 minutes and had the problem fixed in no time at all. He was professional, friendly and clean. I asked for several cards to use for referrals. I highly recommend their services and their prices we very reasonable.

They showed up and Steve the Plumber handling the problem was very professional and efficient in fixing the problem. In addition, he pointed out a few potential issues I need to be aware of. A very positive experience. The charged a bit high on the quote, but they backed it up, fixed my problem and didn't try to add on or charge more. I knew exactly what they were going to do for the work before they started. I was very happy that I called them to fix the problem within the hour!

In the past month it seems my house has decided to fall apart around me. I have had three separate plumbing issues and had called these folks each time. The gentleman who was sent out to look at my hot water heater spent less than 10 minutes doing nothing but attempting to relight the pilot after he scoffed at me when he found that I installed it myself two years prior. Still without hot water, I had PG&E come out the next day and their technician had it working in less than 5 mins. Although I was quite disappointed in the initial hot water heater service I was highly impressed by the technicians that came out to fix my 4 inch and 2 inch sewage lines. Sean was friendly quick and efficient and very understanding of my frustrations. I don't think I will be calling them again for hot water heater problems but any other plumbing problems, they would be my first call.

We made a second call a couple of weeks later for the same problem, again they came out in a jiffy. This time they found the problem and fixed it. I called Rapid Rooter after my normal plumber was too booked to deal with an emergency sewage back up. Fortunately, my normal plumber and a city plumber had given me information to provide to the Rapid Rooter plumber to facilitate the job I needed done. Charles from Rapid Rooter showed up at my property and was incredibly vague in his estimate could be one hour, could be six....we never know, also quoting me what appeared to be ridiculously high prices. When I asked for clarification and justification of his explanation, he was condescending. He also provided me with information that completely contradicted what two other plumbers (whom I trust!) had told me earlier in the day. I asked Charles if he could give me five minutes to call my other plumber just to confirm his information, to which Charles replied, If you get on the phone I'm going to start charging you by the minute because I've been waiting long enough for you to decide if you're going to use me or not. I then asked for the name and telephone number of his supervisor, to which Charles stated, call the 800 number yourself to get it.

As it was after hours, I could not speak directly with a supervisor. But the supervisor did convey to the company's operator that Charles was, in fact, overcharging me by $125 an hour. The supervisor confirmed a lower price and confirmed that the job would take no more than two hours to complete. I allowed Charles to do the work, but only because I had no other options and it was an emergency situation as the tenants had no water.

Unfortunately, I believe that Charles was trying to take advantage of me and the situation by overcharging me and being vague in his estimate. Had I not questioned his poor customer service tactics, I undoubtedly would have been overcharged. The job was completed to my satisfaction, hence two stars and not one. But I will not use this company again.

I have had a problem with a clogged pipe for months. I have had it snaked twice by another company the past couple of years and it still continue to clog. Christian came out and did his best to undo the clog, but it just wanted to show how stubborn it was. He didn't give up and had reinforcements show up. After multiple attempts and a snake getting caught, a camera was used and they found a hole in the pipe. If it weren't for the clog being so stubborn a camera may not have been used and the hole would have continued to go unnoticed.

We made a decision to fix the pipe and put a clean catch in the same spot. I was extremely happy that the break was outside the house. Travis was awesome. After having the concrete cut, he took over and cut the pipe, put in the clean catch, cemented the area back up, removed all the old concrete and debris and it looks like nothing happened.

It was reading the other positive reviews that made me choose Rapid Rooter and I'm extremely happy I did. And the overall cost was very reasonable.

Oh, and the girls at the office who answered my multiple calls were very friendly and informative.

I am so pleased to share our experience with Rapid First Plumbing. We were the classic Thanksgiving story of getting ready for our guests and realizing our toilets were backing up. After a creative access to a bathroom, we were able to make Thanksgiving Day work. First thing this morning, we called for help. Within an hour, Travis walked in and got to work. Unbelievable. He was energetic, good humored and determined. What a Godsend! He was incredibly thorough.
Travis even told us how to cure our dribbling faucets.

My shower drain and tub drain (two different bathrooms) were completely clogged and flooding. I tried reaching my regular plumber who was unavailable to come out - he referred me to another who also couldn't come out that day but they referred me to Rapid First! 3rd time was a charm! Called in the morning - a technician was out within a couple hours....professional, helpful and even answered some questions I had about other things I wanted to do (remodel type things in the bathrooms). He fixed the clog no problem and is writing up a proposal for a couple of options for another job that I mentioned to him (more of an annoyance that I've been wanting to get fixed) and said I should receive that tomorrow or by Friday. I look forward to giving more business to them!

Well first off my problem happened at 6 pm after we got home from work. I called 3 other places and they all had ads that said 24hour but were not. I called and got right thru to a very nice lady that took my info and said the guy would be out in about an hour. Im in woodland and rapid rooter is out of sacramento so its a good 30-45 min drive. Sean was the name of the guy they sent. And he was by far the coolest guy ive met doing this crappy work. He was incredibly nice, very informative, and was a first class act! He wore boot cover when he came in so he didnt track anything in our house. Oh did i mention its raining!! Never said a word about being out in the rain. Seriously, if you dont use this company for any and all repairs or services they offer then you are probably going to get screwed and rightfully so. I will repeat my business to them and refer anyone i can! Its 930 and he just left and after all said and done it cost me 164 bucks! 5 out of 5 stars and thats an easy call! Call them!

I woke up this morning, on a Saturday, at 6am to take a shower and the water started coming up through the drain, and through the other shower drain, and the toilets wouldn't drain either. ICK!!! I had used Rapid a few years ago and thank goodness I kept their card. I called them at 7am, totally expecting them to tell me they wouldn't be able to help me until Sunday or Monday. But instead, they were at my house by 8:20am! He fixed everything quickly and efficiently and the cost was definitely reasonable. It's rarely a good day when you have to call a plumber, but I'm thankful that I have Rapid Rooter there when I need them. My landlord has used Rapid Rooter in the past because our yard has a lot of tree roots growing through the pipes and causing clogs. So, when my bathtub and toilet water levels began to rise as my washing machine was rinsing, I knew I had a problem.

I called Rapid Rooter on a Saturday morning and spoke to Allison, who was super friendly. She said she would send someone out. It took a few hours for the Rapid Rooter guy, Jake, to arrive because he was on another call. He spent about an hour grinding the roots out of the sewer system, plunging the bathtub, and checking his work both with a camera in the pipe and by running water through the system.

It ended up costing $164 (which was the price Allison quoted me on the phone), but they guarantee their work and are efficient. I give Jake a big thumbs up for explaining the situation at hand and for being friendly in his interactions with me. Rapid Rooter will always be the company I turn to if I have another plumbing problem.

Toilets backed up and shower and tub backed up with waste water. Called Rapid First Plumbing on a referral from Pocket Plumbing. They are awesome! $165 seemed a little steep to have my sewer line cleaned but it was worth it! They stood by their guarantee and came out 3 times (in total) to help us. The machine was getting the job done but with the camera we found out the issue was a root that was growing down the pipe from the cleanout we didn't know existed. They came out within an hour each time we called and were friendly. I would definitely recommend!

I usually never write reviews but this is one I had to write. Months ago we had Renaldo out and we had a previous company who told us we had to jackhammer our driveway etc. Well Renaldo came out and worked on snaking our pipes out for quite awhile. He did mention if he couldn't fix it there would be no charge! He continued and he brought out out a clump of tree roots (we have no trees in front) and the problem was fixed with minimal charge! He was fantastic!

So today I find myself needing a Plummer again. Wendy (the person answering the phone) was friendly and so nice. She even told me where to go to save $15 off. I had been staring right at it. I love this company and if I could give it 10 stars, I would!

We needed a plumber after I put potato peelings down the disposal and it plugged up. The technician that responded to my plumbing problem was very fast and friendly. Nice vehicle, well dressed and helpful. The reason for the three star rating is the strange company policies that did not allow him to actually come in the house to address the plumbing problem. I don't know how a plumbing company makes money when they're not allowed to bring equipment inside the house to fix the plumbing problem. I do most all my own work but did not want to deal with this clog which is why I called them and after they confirmed that they were unable to bring the machine into the house to unclog the drain they left without charging me. I proceeded to go get my own drain auger, remove the toilet, run the auger down the drain and clear the clog myself which wasn't horrible but it was tedious and dirty and I simply didn't want to do it myself. They could've made some easy money by dealing with a simple clog but chose not to. Three star rating for strange company policies that don't allow plumbers to actually fix plumbing problems inside a house.

Technician Damarus showed up on time and wore his mask the entire time. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and polite. I would highly recommend Rapid First Plumbing for any main line snake job. If possible, request the services of Damarus. Also, I was able to use a coupon from their website for $15 off any service over $100.

I have to absolutely recommend Steve Yamamoto at Rapid Rooter. I have a 60 year old house that is very hard to work on. I had two companies and 5 different plumbing people out before someone said, You need Steve Yamamoto. He knows his stuff and is diligent. Not afraid of hard work. Very determined. I give him a 10!

I want to thank a specific employee, Charles, for being good at his job and smarter than the average bear.

Over the course of a couple months I had two guys from another company come twice, and one other guy from Rapid Rooter come by twice because our kitchen/laundry clog issue kept returning.

Charles was the first to look under the house and notice that the drain pipe had been poorly repaired by an amateur, and also see that the entire underside of the house was soaked. By repeatedly bashing a snake down a pipe system repaired improperly with irrigation 90 degree fittings, the other guys had broken a connection at the head of the drain.

I'm a fix-it kind of guy and was able to lay plastic out ahead of myself to stay out of the mud and I properly replaced the connections that day, including adding more support. In cutting out the bad sections I found a 90 degree bend near the end that was completely clogged--nothing was getting through it. All the laundry and dishwasher water was dumping under the house!

Rapid Rooter is very business like. They responded to my request for service. The technician called ahead on the scheduled half day. He completed the work, showed me the work and I signed off. Less than two hours.

Matt did a great job last night. I had a couple pipes sticking out of the concrete in the garage from when I bought the house and I had to finally yield and have a professional work on them since I had nothing else I could do. He came out, diagnosed the situation, and was at my house from 7:45 until almost 11. He took care of the entire situation and explained every bit, so I knew what he was doing and he showed me each piece of the process. From that I knew he wasn't just trying to make a few extra dollars here or there. He worked hard the entire time to get it done as fast as possible. He even told me, he tells people the worst it could be, then tries to make it a lot better than what was originally thought. Well he sure did that. I thought it was going to cost around a thousand dollars because it was coming up from the foundation and required extensive chiseling and jack-hammering. Well it was less than half of that, which is great because I didn't really have the money for that to begin with. I would absolutely recommend them. He did a great job and refused to offer second rate service which could have resulted in more repairs needed.

My property management company for my Apartments called Rapid First Plumbing to unclog my kitchen sink! first the office was quick to call me to notify me the time the plumbers would be here, and they showed up fast great Jalen and Bernardo were totally professional I felt comfortable with them in my home also they were very thorough the clog was cleared very quickly they cleaned up very polite I think all plumbers should be like this!

Friendly service and they try to get the job done as fast as they can.

My main sewer line kept getting backed up which caused my toilet to bubble and my bathtub to fill with water through the drain. Basically, they had to come run their rooting machine thought the main drainline from my house all the way to the main sewer (about 20 yards away).

The downside: I had to have them come back 3 times... The problem would seem fixed for a few days or even up to a week, but then it would happen again. I eventually had to have a different service come out and they fixed it completely the first time they tried and I havent had any problems since.

The company that fixed it for good was Armstrong Plumming
