Our sewer withstood the recent storms thanks to Precision Rooter. Our service person was knowledgable and considerate. He attempted old style rooter I requested, but our clog was too great. So he showed me and got approval for the water jet service. He finished the job in the dark, staying to ensure water was flowing out properly.

Note: One company wanted to blame poor workmanship of modern sewer pipe installation (by our friend who is a pro) and charge twice the price to redo his work from 10 years ago. They also incorrectly located a clog in the only place we had not replaced pipes. We declined and called Precision to do a simple rooter job for a fraction of the cost. We are satisfied customers that will remain loyal to this local company.

Come to find out, homes are suppose to have regular sewer line maintenance.

I'd rather have some preventative measures than deal with emergencies.

This company was responsive, competitive pricing, friendly and honest.

We had a couple of very slow draining situation's in our house and sought some quotes online. Precision was one of the only companies to respond with an actual approximate estimate rather than just promising a free in person quote. We didn't want to have to coordinate a number of different companies coming through the house and trying to make those decisions on the spot. We understand that a company can't make a firm estimate without seeing the scenario in person and perhaps even until the work is fully complete, but it was nice to have a reasonable range to go by.

They were prompt and snaked the drains efficiently, leaving no mess and offered us a 30-day guarantee. Hopefully we won't need their services for a long time but it's nice to have a trustworthy, go-to plumber.

I had an issue with our main line to the street line, caused by the construction in our neighborhood.  After going on Yelp and sending out a note to several plumbing companies, we went with Precision Rooter because they were responsive and offered a competitive quote.  I know there's always apprehension about choosing a company to perform emergency services like plumbing, but I guarantee you can't go wrong with these guys.

It was easy to schedule an appointment and Ray came by on time and was very easy to work with.  I had an issue with popping open the metal covering in my drain in front of our garage (it was full of dirt and grass was growing from it) because I hadn't been able to get it open.  Ray offered to look into it for me and he was actually able to open it with some tools he had.  How many places would try to charge you an extra arm and a leg for that?  I was so happy once he was able to do it and I told him I could clean it out while he worked on hydro jetting my pipe.  But Ray said he has a bucket and he cleaned it out for me too.  I had to give him a tip after that!

My pipe was serviced quickly and without issue and everything is working great.  I definitely recommend Precision Rooter and will use them again in the future for all my plumbing needs.

Scheduling was very easy and courteous. Unfortunately I paid them and they were unable to unclog the drain with a snake and left after 40 minutes without solving the problem. My handyman (who was unavailable before) came with his snake and unclogged it in one hour.

What happened? Mario came to snake my clogged drain pipe. He was very nice and friendly and stated that it would be one hour charge if there were no complications. He tried but was unable to unclog the drain with a snake from the drain opening. He then explained there would be a $50 additional charge for him to drill a hole inside another part of the drain pipe and I agreed. After drilling a hole and snaking he said there was too much mud in the pipe and he could only hydrojet for an additional charge of $1000 or I should have someone else replace the pipe.  So basically I spent $375 with no resolution.

As my wife was draining the tub, water started coming out of the base on the toilet. The bathroom was partially flooded before we plugged the tub. I messaged Precision that night, they got back to me with a prelim quote. Next day, I called to make an appt, they showed up the same day. The dispatcher was courteous and helpful. Mario, the tech, who showed up to do the work, explained everything to me and helped me understand why it happened, how to prevent it in the future and what to do if it happens again. Excellent experience given the potential disaster on a cold, rainy night/day in SF just as we were leaving for a trip the next day.

Had a shower drain clog and it was at 9 pm. Found Precision on Yelp and sent a message on Yelp to get an estimate. Responded within an hour and also setup an appointment for next day in the morning. Showed up and snaked the drain and unclogged in about 30 mins. Cleaned up everything and didn't not leave any mess. Price was very reasonable. Ray was excellent in and out very quickly.

Although the snaking done by Precision fixed our symptoms (slow kitchen drain), it didn't fix the root cause. It recurred after 4 months (work had a 30 day warranty), and when they came back their only suggestion was  snaking in the reverse direction

We had a clogged drain that was backing up into our garage. Precision Rooter responded late in the evening and sent Mario early the next morning during the 2-hour time period promised. He solved our problem (by unclogging the drain) efficiently and courteously. Highly recommend.

This native SF family run business is perfect. Scheduling was a breeze and very friendly, patient and accommodating of our needing to orchestrate multiple parties. Our downstairs drain has suffered from blockages/backups ever since we moved in, and last Friday it blocked in a way that no chemicals, and my my poor attempt at snaking could not fix.

I reached out to Precision Rooter and drain, and they responded quickly, and arrived exactly on time! Ray and his buddy hydrojetted the drain in no time at all, were highly professional and observed all COVID-19 safety guidelines (wore masks, maintained distance, wiped down surfaces), and hey, now I can flush the toilet again!

Superb service, would definitely reach out to them again with any future plumbing issues!

I am extremely impressed with the high level of customer service, sense of integrity, genuine care and professionalism that I received from Evelyn who answered my questions over the phone and helped schedule an appointment and by Raymond who actually showed up to fix the toilette. I had a problem with my toilette which was caused by the mistake that a handyman had made in changing a par and using the wrong part. Long story, Raymond, precision rooter's technician, called in advance of his arrival. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable and professional. He found the main problem which was the angle stopper of the toilette that needed to be changed before he could change the part. He was extremely fair and showed great sense of integrity because since they didn't handle angle stopper repairs he agreed to not charge me for his visit so that I could have someone who managed that kind of repair handle the whole job. I was extremely appreciative of his honesty and integrity. It means a lot that they care about their customers to the point of giving up profit. Later I received a very kind follow up text from their office despite the fact that I had not done business with them. That I call real genuine and professional care. I actually got the referral to Precision Rooter & Drain from Pipeline Plumbing, who said they didn't do the job I needed, but to try Precision Rooter.
Precision gave me a prompt estimate through Yelp, but was booked for several weeks and available later.  I also had 2 other plumbing companies visit to provide estimates.  One was very similar in price (and the owner followed up and was very diligent for the business) and the other was quite higher, but all were very prompt and professional.
I had a clogged toilet in our basement bathroom, being in the bottom unit in our condo building, which was possibly caused by a clogged sewer lateral in our building, as suggested by a previous handyman.
The plumbing job was to both unclog the toilet and to hydro flush the sewer lateral.
I tried using a manual toilet auger on our toilet first, but that didn't work, so a plumber was needed.
Precision came on time with Raymond and his assistant.  Both were very professional and hard working.
Raymond started with the hydro flush first, finding all 5 cleanout ports for our sewer in the building (2 more than I had noticed), and flushed all those plus the cleanout on the outside sidewalk.
He also tried snaking our toilet using a similar manual toilet auger, and with a little plunger work, cleared the toilet, without needing to remove it.  (It was a brand new toilet from Home Depot we just installed 1 month earlier.)
He charged me for the hydro flush job, and didn't charge me for the toilet unclogging (estimate showed a few hundred for that, 2 prices for keeping toilet on, or for removing toilet first), as that part turned out to be very quick and simple.
I really appreciate the quick responsiveness, professional and efficient work, and the mindfulness to do the right thing and charge appropriately.

sewer clogs are never fun. They answered my yelp request promptly, answered the phone a little after the official closing time.
They came as scheduled, right at the time announced at the courtesy call.

Great PRACTICAL knowledge of classic San Francisco housing.

Drain was cleaned, unclogged (dried mud), and tested within 20mn of arrival.

solid job, very thorough, run snake and hydro jetter both directions and run camera multiple times to make sure they got it all. Not a quick and easy job, very patient to make certain it's clear. told me where I got a flat spot were grease collects. will have them back  out when it needs another clearing hopefully later than sooner.

We called today at 10, Mario arrived by 11, and was essentially done by 11:20. He even helped fix a minor problem that wasn't connected to our clog. They had good communication, good COVID safety, and were prompt and helpful. When plumbing goes wrong, it's always a relief to have someone be able to come so quickly, with the right tools, and give the right fix immediately. The best $295 I'll spend this Christmas. There's not much else to say, but I'm very happy I called Precision.

I contacted Precision Rooter and Drain to repair my backed-up kitchen sink and dishwasher, based off of Yelp reviews. Mario came to fix it. It took a couple visits due to me not understanding that there cannot be any food in the sink disposal when the dishwasher is running (he explained this to me in visit two). I now have a working dishwasher and sink, and the problem seems to be resolved. Prompt, efficient service.

Precision committed to showing up on the day of my call (today) and arrived early to help us with our very blocked drain system in Crocker Amazon! Ray showed us exactly what was going on and proved they had fixed it. We're hoping that our problem won't flare back up, but they let us know what to do next and couldn't have been more professional. We had a toilet blocked because we used eco-toilet paper that didn't fall apart well and clumped in the pipes (sigh). After trying in vain to plunge and snake it ourselves, we chose Precision Rooter & Drain because of all the awesome reviews. Allow me to add another 5 star!

My wife spoke with Evelyn (the scheduler) on the phone late in the morning and set up a time for the same day between 2-4:30pm with Mario. He ended up running a bit late, and she called immediately to check in to make sure this was OK. When Mario arrived, he quickly surmised the situation and expertly cleared out the clog.

I called them to see if they could help with a clogged exterior drain that I hadn't had any luck clearing on my own. The person who answered their phone was quite helpful in talking me through the available solutions and the pricing for each. She then called back to provide a recommended approach after speaking with one of their technicians (the recommendation was to try the least expensive solution first).

The technician was at my house later that afternoon and had the drain cleared in less than 30 minutes. (and the cost was exactly what was quoted).

I'd definitely use them again. They were extremely professional and efficient.

I give big Kudos to Ray who took care of unclogging a drain that my regular plumber couldn't fix. He was quick to respond and had it working in no time even though the drain pipe was tricky. Evelyn who handles the office is lovely to deal with and helped me get a fast resolution.

Message Precision Rooter to clear my main sewer line. I usually have 2 licensed plumbers I work with but both were busy on a job for 2 days and the clog had backed up to the garage utility since and every time someone flushed the toilet, the garage utility sink will fill up. Yes, yuck!!!

Ray return my message within 10 minutes, asked me where I was located and gave me a quote for the job. They have set rates for the weekend, which is $45 more than week days. He came out 2hrs later and clear the main sewer line within 45mins. Our building were happy campers. Ray is a young man, who knows what's he's doing and is quick at getting the job done. He courteous and started with the easiest solution first and only if that didn't work, would he consider using the hydro jetter.

My wife has experienced the sewer getting clogged when I was out of town and she's gotten estimates in the $1,300-$1,500 range from the other rooter services. If we had needed it, the snake and hydrojet service would have been no more than $750. But the clogg was able to be clear by snake only, which was $250 for weekend service.

Extremely happy with the work that was completed by Precision Rooter & Drain. I found them on yelp and requested a quote. They got back to me in less than 2 hours. I also requested a quote from another plumber but they took much longer to reply. Anyway, at that point I had already called PRD and booked an appointment. The woman on the phone was very friendly and collected all the info she needed from me. I explained that we had a water main backup in our house. It was semi-urgent and she was able to schedule me an appt. the next day. She also explained 3 times that there would be a $65 travel fee for the technician regardless if work was done or not. I thought that was fair and standard but great that she emphasized that so there would be no surprises when it was time to pay.

The next day, the plumber named Ray called 30 min. in advance to let us know he was on his way. When he and his coworker arrived, they immediately knew what to do. They snaked all the drains in our garage and cleaned out all the sewer lines. He also answered all our questions and worked efficiently, completing the job in an hour. Our sleeping baby didn't even wake up! The fee was just as was quoted and we were very happy with the service. Highly recommend them if you are looking for a professional plumber!

Straight up amazing plumbing service. Super fast response time, fair price, professional and clean work - what else do you need?  Dealing with Precision Rooter & Drain was so easy and painless that I felt a little bit nervous that I was missing something.  

Called at 9:15 a.m.  Had an option for 10:00 a.m. appointment same day, but opted for the 12:30 instead.  Was quoted an hour window with a 20 minute call ahead of time.

Mario texted at 11:18 a.m. and offered to come early, or wait until 12:30.  Earlier wasn't a problem for me, and Mario said he'd be at the site in 15 minutes, which he hit almost right on the nose.

Once on the job, Mario was extremely professional and polite, did great work, and kept the work space clean.  Granted the job was relatively simple and I had prepped the site already, but I was still very impressed with the work and also the speed.

Price was fair and I was charged exactly what I was quoted over the phone.

Definitely going to be saving this number in case I have any other plumbing needs.

Mario is a LIFE SAVER!!!

Our double bathroom sinks were both clogged... as in not draining. At all. Not even a drip. My husband and I were reduced to brushing our teeth in the bathtub. Mario came out, called and texted *before* he arrived, and figured out that the pipes weren't configured correctly. ARGH!

Fortunately, we determined that he could access the pipes from underneath the house in our super creepy Blair Witch Basement. Mario bravely waded through stacks of things we're storing in the basement but can't give away just in case, figured out which pipe it was and cleared it out of its disgusting goop. Not only that, but he was polite, kind, timely and efficient. Precision Rooter & Drain is lucky to have a guy like Mario! I can't say enough good things about him. :)

I stupidly dumped one of those gel-based ice packs down my kitchen sink.  A day later things weren't flowing too well so I plunged the sink which caused a large volume of garbage disposal product to vomit forth from my laundry room sink.  

At this point things were really backed up so I called these folks at 930am they showed up at 1110am and were done by 1155am.  The call center folks were pleasant as was the plumber.  Couldn't ask for better service.

I am glad I chose Precision Plumbing they were  quick and prompt.  The technician was courteous and informative and very detailed  He saw other minor situations and was able to correct them.  The technician was very knowledgeable and explained what was going on.  Great attitude Toward working.

I called and Mario arrived in one hour. He was very polite and task-oriented, and observed all covid precautions. While working, he summarized what he was doing to me, which was informative. He had to snake my main drain line twice in order to access the clog due to the logistics of the way the drain was designed. The entire process took about 30 minutes and cost $275. I would definitely recommend this company and Mario in particular.

Our 100+ yr old house has a drain that periodically backs up. Before Mario started work, he wanted to understand the overall picture of the drainage flow. After showing him the pipes and discussing the history, he figured out the location of the blockage before he brought in his tools. This is what I'd hoped for when I called Precision Rooter and Drain.

After he was done clearing the drain, we tested to make sure. He offered some advice for addressing our drainage issues in the future. I recommend Precision for anyone with tricky drainage issues.

My backyard had a drainage problem. Mario was able to detect the issue right away and resolved it.  He dug through the soil to find the hidden drains.  He also provided great advice in maintaining my yard on a yearly basis.  Precision Rooter & Drain consists of a professional and nice team of people. We had a leak which we thought was coming from the roof, but turned out to be caused by a clogged drain. Precision Rooter was able to come out quickly and clear the drain, as well as others that hadn't been cleared in years. Not long after we had another drainage issue, which we thought was related to the earlier work. It turned out not to be, but nevertheless they cleared that issue too, and grandfather it under the previous bill. On both visits they were friendly, prompt, clean, and helpful. It's great to have another service provider we like and trust in the rolodex--we'll definitely call Precision again if we have any drain work.

Two nights ago I discovered a huge pool of water in the common back area of the apartment building.  Something was clogging the drain.
The next morning the pool was bigger.
I called Precision Rooter and Drain. Mario was able to come out that afternoon, and in about 90 minutes solved the problem.

Precision Rooter was recommended by another plumber who could not help us! We were without water because of a pipe leaking. They called 20 minutes before they arrived, dressed in a professional uniform. It took no time for them to fix the pipe and it was very reasonably priced.

You haven't looked up a rooter until you Really have an emergency and need a rooter.
I've been working with Precision Rooter for almost 10 years and they are the most reliable service company we have. We manage 65 rental units and multiple commercial spaces.
Ray and Mario have never failed to fix a problem.
You can go budget which is going to cost you in the end or can go with the overpriced folks that give you a fake book of costs and try to sell you on the $1,200 water jet.
Precision Rooter is honest about pricing and always fixes the problem.

Super happy and impressed with this company.  I called 2 previous plumbers who didn't have same day availability.  The woman I spoke to was very friendly and gave me a quote after I explained the situation and the plumber came out within the hour.  Mario was great: fast and professional and fixed our main drain backup in no time.  The best part is the price.  We had the same problem a few months ago and was charged twice the amount by the previous guy.  Will always contact PRD from now on.

We had Precision come out at the end of last year when the roots of the (city-owned) tree out front blocked things and the drains backed up in the garage. They did a great job after a previous plumber gave up. Last week we had to have them come out again, and Mario discovered that the sidewalk vent cover was missing and there was junk -- including a Monster drink can!!! -- down in there blocking things. He not only cleared it, but helped me get a new cover on there to keep it from happening again. Precision has been absolutely perfectly responsive and helpful both times we've needed them, I can't recommend them enough.

I did a dumb thing and put sour kraut in the garbage disposal.  Thought since it was already cut up small, what could it hurt.  Well, it plugged up both sinks.  It was a mess and wouldn't go down.  I called Precision and Mario came the very next day.  He was kind, understanding and also gave me pointers on what should not be put in the garbage disposal.  Heads up--any starch like pasta, potatoes.....they swell in the pipes.  No citrus peels.  Anyway, the pipe was clogged and he had to use the rooter to get the pipe flowing.  He was efficient and yet friendly.  He did a great job and his business card is definitely in my file to call him when I have a problem with a future drain.  Very reasonable price. In fact I had called my plumber for the bathtub drain that was slow draining and he charged me $100 more for that one drain.  Won't make that mistake again.  Call Precision.  You will be happy that you did!

Another great experience. I don't need them often, but Precision is prompt, professional and appear to know exactly what they are doing.
To start, the person holding down the office reviews the predicament, says exactly what to expect and offers a possible range of charges based on that info. All this without being asked to do so.
Then, after a heads-up phone call, the plumber arrives on time and does everything needed quickly and efficiently.
(I had a more difficult problem in 2014 and they worked for hours and the charge was hefty, but necessary).
In this case, the situation was not as difficult as it appeared and the charge were extremely low. That just proves that these people are honest and only want to do what is required so that the client will call them back again knowing they can be trusted.

And they take credit cards on Square.

.....and No, I do knot have any friends working for this company or any vested interest in seeing them do well.

Had an issue with water backing up and flooding 1st floor during heavy usage (dishwasher, washing machine, shower).  This issue created a tremendous amount of work cleaning up the mess. I suspected roots in sewer pipes, called Precision Rooter and Drain and they fixed the issue the same day.  The cleaning specialist (Ray) was very friendly and professional.  He gave me a quote which was reasonable and cleared the roots and fixed the issue.   Very satisfied!!  Thank you!!

Called a couple of other plumbers closer to where I live, who did not pick up or went to vm. Precision Rooter & Drain answered right away and the coordinator was polite, courteous, and organized.

Mario did a Super Mario job. He came within the specified timeframe, pointed out what the issue was -- a clogged main sewage line 15-20ft long -- worked efficiently, and helped clean everything up. Definitely on the pricey side , but totally worth it. After I contacted them via yelp they came the next day. Showed up on time, called in advance to let me know they are coming, brought all the necessary equipment with them. They knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. Fixed my clogged kitchen sink in 30 minutes , cleaned up and left. Very pleased with the service.

You can pay more, you might get a bigger crew or fancier uniforms, but you won't get a better job done than with Precision.  Mario was out 3 times for rooting (over several months).  He was nice, professional, and efficent -- he swept all the detritus into the clogged garage drain.  Finally, realized main drain pipe needed to be replaced, not just rooted again in another 5 months.  Another company made an estimate -- a higher one -- after eyeballing the job.  These guys used a camera and metal detector to figure out the exact location of the iron/clay juncture.  They explained the entire process so there were no surprises.  Work was done quickly.  Big barricades and extensive walkover boards were good for our neighbors on multi-day job.  And both Evelyn in the office and Ray on the job were courteous, friendly, and downright nice people.  I have the feeling that they really like improving life for homeowners.  You can't do better.

We found Precision Rooter & Drain on Yelp. An appointment was set up and a plumber from Precision came on time. Our problem was a clogged bathroom sink pipe. The plumber removed the junk/debris and that fixed the problem. We are happy.  We will hire them again in case any plumbing problem occurs in the future. They're professional and very efficient. I had a flooding issue under my washing machine and Precision Router came to snake the drain. I called at 9 and they were here by 12:30. They took care of the problem. Afterwards they cleaned up the mess. It was such a relief to get the problem solved. I was able to finish doing the laundry that afternoon.

Precision Rooter got back to us very quickly for an online quote request, and were able to come out the same day -- even moved up the appointment a couple of hours when a cancellation opened up. They were excellent at communicating throughout. Mario came over and snaked our main sewer drain, very thoroughly, fishing out tree roots, and gave advice for upkeep / what to do if this happens next time. Their pricing was competitive, their timing was perfect, and the service was overall great. Definitely planning to call Precision again the next time we need anything done with our drains.

Mario was very helpful to repair and unclog a toilette that was a mess. It took much longer than he expected but he honored the original quote Before leaving he got a broom and a mapped and cleaned the area where he was working for hours. Mario came out within two hours of my call, cleared out a backed up sewer drain and recommended we call the city next time because the blockage was out under the street where they'd been doing work lately. He also cleaned up the area more than I expected although the hose was too short to get everything. He was professional and helpful. I'd definitely use them again for rooter/drain/sewer issues despite the fact that the woman who returned my initial call hadn't actually listened to my message but had just noticed a missed call and called back, so I had to repeat everything (briefly annoying but maybe that's a sign of aging). Still, fast, professional service.

So my sewer line was plugged and backing up this morning. I Called Precision and was told that someone would be here between 5-7pm today.  I was given a courtesy call about 20 minutes before Ray's arrival.  I explained the problem and he went right to work.  Within 30 minutes he was finished and my sewer line was cleared.  

So that was what happened.  Here's my experience: The woman on the phone was polite, gave me a good estimate and a time that fit my schedule today (other plumbers were 'booked' until mid June).  When Ray arrived, he was punctual, attentive, polite, efficient and a nice guy.  Overall he was very professional in his appearance and demeanor.  Considering their fast response time and Ray's ability to quickly solve my problem, I think their pricing was *very* reasonable.

Folks, this company gets an A++ from me and I wish I could give them more stars.  What a great experience (esp. concerning a not so lovely problem: sewage).  Would I use them again? You bet.  Would I recommend them to a friend?  Absolutely.

Post-Christmas sink problem solved!  Called at 2:30, they had an opening window of 3-5.  She explained to me the pricing clearly, as it was listed on their website.

Mario called fifteen minutes before and was there by 4:20.  I was a little worried because he did say oh wow a couple of times but he worked on my janky old bernal plumbing, showed me what was weak, what broke and what he had to replace.

He had to snake the adjoining bathroom and replace the trap there as well.  It was also draining badly.  

All in, it was $245.  Was it cheap, it seemed fair.  Was it reliable, yes.  Was it fast, yes.

He cleaned up after himself, carefully told me what he had to move and suggested that I make sure I let the area under the sink dry before I put stuff back.

Wonderful service to a not so fun situation. Our drain had a clog at the city line and when it started to rain our bottom bathtub starting overflowing at 5am.

I called and was told an accurate time window as well as how much to expect the service to be which was welcomed information, no surprises when they actually came out. They called within 20 minutes of Marios arrival.

Mario was professional and very quick. He explained our situation with our home and then went along his business.

I chose Precision due to proximity to my house (so they're familiar with the neighborhood) and Yelp reviews. Called around 10:30am and they said someone would be over 12:30-2pm.

Ray gave me a courtesy call about 30 minutes before he showed up. He was really nice, respectful and helpful! Cleared out a giant hairball 15 feet down my shower drain and told me how to maintain my shower so it won't happen again. Awesome service, no upsell, and I felt very comfortable with having him at my house.

i had a clogged roof drain that needed to be addressed before the rainy season. I called Precision Rooter based on all the positive Yelp reviews. I called on a Monday morning and expected that it would take a few days to get an appointment but was surprised when he said he would be at my house in 20 minutes.

Ray showed up and I described the problem - after signing a basic estimate he got right to work. He was on my roof for about 2 hours trying various methods but it turned into a bigger issue and would require cutting the pipe to be able to remove the obstruction. An hour later the pipe was clear and draining and he was able to put a patch over the hole.

Even tough it took 3 hours he only charged me for two. Ray was also extremely professional, polite, and efficient. Well deserving of a Woohoo! As good as it gets! 5 star  rating!

Mario was amazing! We had a clogged sewage pipe which another plumber claimed would need drilling into the floor/concrete (and pipe replacement). We didn't really trust them so we called on Precision Rooter since they had great reviews. Mario was a star! He was on time, communicated very clearly, was polite and got the job done in less than 2 hours - where the previous plumber quoted us $3000+ of replacement costs, Mario got the job done for $325 and even left me 2 DVDs with recordings from the snake camera. We will definitely call him again in the future! Reliable, polite, clean, fair and efficient - what more do you want from a plumber?

I simply HAD to write about this experience..!

We called Ray to have a look at our leaking toilet. I was impressed he called to say he would be here in about 2 min, that was nice, and then I met him, explained the problem, and left him to fix it. He took the toilet out and put some parts in etc etc, its a rather old home and toilet. I think it was more than half an hour, and he had put everything back, and said the problem was more than he had expected, seems we will need a new toilet. He said there was NO CHARGE for the labour or parts he had already installed, this is amazing in today's world, what a NICE man... So i had to tell everyone about this wonderful man and this company...!

I intend to spread this good news to all and sundry....!

Just had Ray from Precision Rooter come by to clear some drainage problems.  I suspect my review will largely echo those before me but when someone does a great job, I believe in thanking him, redundancy be damned!  Here's why I am so pleased:

1.  I called a nine am or so and Ray arrived by 10:30 -- right on time.
2.  The woman I spoke to on the phone estimated the standard $145.00 fee and when Ray arrived, he said the same.  He did not, like many other rooter services, try to sell me up.
3.  Ray is very professional, competent, and friendly.
4.  He made some suggestions about what I might do in the future -- with no pressure, btw.
5.  He did a very thorough job of rooting the pipes from the house to the street.

So there you have it folks -- five great reasons to contact Precision.  Unfortunately, I am no stranger to backed up drains.  But I can say without question that Precision is the best of the services I have ever contacted.  Thanks to all you Yelpers who recommended Precision.  I add my name to that list of admirers.

After several attempts to unclog the drain ourselves, we were unsuccessful and decided to call the professionals.   Found this company on Yelp and Ray was able to come out the same day.

Ray is a nice young man and did the job to unclog the utility tub drain in less then 15 minutes.  He has the proper equipment and took his time to be sure that the clog was completely cleared before leaving.

He charged $145.  Mainly.... we're glad to have it fixed.

I would recommend this company to anyone who needs plumbing pipes fixed.

Our drains were clogged and we called Precision Rooter.

They sent Ray over and he was just so pleasant, calm and efficient that it was a really positive experience.  Ray called 15 mins before he arrived to give a head's up, then explained where he thought the problem was, ran the snake, cleared the clogs.  He was also extremely helpful and patient in explaining the other plumbing related issues we had.  We have more work that we're going to schedule, but in the meantime, I give Precision 5 stars, and Ray from Precision 10 stars!!!

My parents used these guys years ago when their pipes backed up. Apparently, pipes in older homes (most homes in SF are considered old) have piping with a diameter that is too small to work in conjunction with a sink garbage diaposal. So if you drop too much food in there, the pipes get clogged up, which is exactly what happened.

Precision Rooter came out and used a snake to clear out the pipes, and luckily none of the pipes needed to be replaced. They kept the kitchen clean while they worked and finished the job within an hour.

Once again Ray did a superb job. This is the second time we've made the call after 4 trouble free years. No fuss no muss. Beyond excellent service at a reasonable price. This time the sewer line was stuffed with ... tampons. Just throwing it out there as a helpful caveat - perhaps not everybody is familiar with the concept as to how properly .... you know ... where to put it.

There were a few things that I had always thought came with the territory for emergency plumbers:

1: They will never give you any idea of their cost over the phone, not even quote an hourly rate. They do this because they know that once there is someone at your house, you will pay more rather than risk waiting for another plumber that might charge the same anyway.

2: They all advertise some mainline clearing special which you later find out that you can't get for one reason or another.

That was until I called Precision.

Over the phone estimates
And the $145 mainline snake advertised on their website was actually what I paid.

Those two alone are what will get me to call them next time.

These are just extras!

They were at my house in less than an hour! (I know this is partially just luck but still)

Their technician was friendly and seems to know what he is talking about.

He expressed concern that there was some sand coming up when he cleared my pipes, that there may be a leak, but was not trying to upsell me.

I never thought I would give a plumber five stars, but these guys exceeded my expectations.

This AM, my wife had a clogged drain issue. The usual cleaners were no avail. Plunger to no avail. High pressure water thingamabob from Lowes to no avail. I took out the P-trap - all were clean w/o gunk due to the high power water thingamabob. Tried the high power water thingamabob in the outlet and it cleared a bit of the gunk; however, had backflow. So more gunk in an unreachable place. Followed it to one of the cast iron sewer lines which I don't have the tools to get to.

So I called Precision based on Yelp reviews of yore. Got a machine, w/in 10 seconds, a call back from Ray w/ a wknd rate quote. He arrived exactly on time - on the dot. He checked to see if other clogs existed. He said he doesn't have take out the sewer line - instead just go through the sink. He took out some gunk - hair, rust particles, et al. The sink now works and drains well. He restated that theres a 30 day warranty on the work.

And he cleaned up any mess that was there too. Plus, my mom had an issue w/ her toilet running slow - its one of those low flow kohler models. Ray looked at it, and tinkered w/ it and it now flushes better. He also chk'd the yard drain and provide tips on how to avoid potential issues. All for the price he quoted over the phone.  Cool.

I asked about future needs for the yard drain - as inevitably the drain may need the use of the industrial snake to clear out any guck.. he said its the same rate as for the sink at most - unless exigent circumstance arise like it being midnight on a holiday weekend thing.. I will definitely use them again.. That's why I've listed their number on the first line - so that I don't have to search for it. I just look up my reviews.. :)

Amazing!  The sewer backed up in my multi-unit building, letting sewage accumulate in my garage.  Called another plumber who tried to clear the drain and gave up, defeated.  At 2:30 AM I called Precision and left a message asking them to call me first thing in the morning.  Not 15 minutes later, Ray calls me back, making an appointment for the next morning, taking time to examine my problem on the phone.  Next morning, he shows up right on time and promptly clears the drain that thwarted the other guy.  Then he cleans up my garage floor and hangs out to talk to the guy from Dept. of Public Works about my drain system and how it might relate to the City's municipal drains!  And all for $75!!  (Note:  price has since increased to $145 due to economic conditions)

As I said, Ray's amazing!  He's prompt, courteous, professional, efficient and effective.  I will definitely use him again and I give him my highest recommendation!

ok so after 1 week of repairs from another plumber and $300 later i'm stuck with a clogged sewage line. All my sinks back up and i'm not able to use my own bathroom in my house.

I just about give up hope then come across Ray from precision rooter and drain. Not only does he knock out the clog in 15 mins but he also guarantees his work for 30 days!  I wish i called him first and saved myself $300.  I'll have his number ready for any other problems i'll have in the future and recommend that everyone i know use his service.  A+ on service and being on time!

This is my first negative review as I don't believe in giving poor reviews if I don't know how to fix the problem myself. I had high hopes for Precision given the Yelp reviews and how easy it was to make the appointment. All went well except for the actual repair. The plumber called me at work to advise me the toilet needed replacing. He said he adjusted something but it wouldn't hold for long.

I returned home and tested flushing the toilet. It still didn't work yet I paid $350 to  be told I needed a new toilet. The following day I called the office as the bill indicated I neeed to let them know within 48 hours if the repair didn't work. The office staff was rude and said she had no time to talk to me and that I needed a new toilet.

The Toto toilet was installed in a bathroom model 9 years ago and shouldn't need replacing yet so I called Toto customer service. Luckily Toto has plumbers answer the calls. The customer service plumber told me I needed a new universal fill valve and flapper and could easily replace it myself. He said plumbers make more money from toilet sales and installations rather than from fast easy repairs. Toto sent the parts compliments! I then looked inside the tank and touched the flapper and my fingerprints are the only ones on the flipper. Thus, it appears that the Precision plumber didn't open the tank!

The replacement parts were at my door today....YouTube showed me what to do, and my Toto toilet is flushing like new.

Lesson learned - precision plumbing is eager to upsell merchandise I didn't need.

I've used Precision's services for the passed couple of years and have nothing but positive experiences with this company. I have to say I've the utmost admiration and respect, especially with Ray Willis(who has come out to our residence in San Bruno.

  Let me state that I value quality customer service, and am so disappointed with the usual experience , in all facets of business in current times. I have been pleasantly surprised with Ray's work ethics and his pride in workmanship. Ray Willis has restored my faith in professional plumbers( In fairness, I really didn't have any horrible experiences, like I've read about on yelp) But the times I've dealt with Precision, and Ray, in particular, have all been very positive. Thank you Ray !!! I wish you much success in your future endeavors! I would reccommend Precision and Ray's services without hesitation. In fact, my neighbor had Ray come to his home for plumbing issues my neighbor was experiencing.

Kudos to Ray for his work ethic and perserverence in resolving plumbing, rooting issues you may have.

I am very happy to give this company 5 stars, Ray was very very nice , helpful and have the knowledge of how to fix blockage at our home .He came on time, fix the issue less then 2 hours. The other company which I use My home insurance came first, was bad and getting the place dirty and not willing to stay to solved the problem and give a lot of excuses how can not be fix...anyway,I am glad I use you guys And worth the money I spend then home insurance.. thanks ray！I will recommend to my friends for sure..

After another plumbing company couldn't fix my bathtub clog, I called Precision Rooter.  Mario came by the next morning, he called ahead of time to let me know he could be there even earlier than the originally scheduled hour which worked out great for me.  

Mario was super efficient, friendly and precise, he was able to figure out the issue and was able to unclog the drain with some hard work and expertise.  He left the bathroom very clean after the work and I was very impressed and happy with his service.  Thanks Mario!

Contacted Precision 3 days ago, appointment made the next day and quote given.  Ray shows up for the appointment right on time to unclog a shower drain.  He worked very hard on it and found that I had another problem.  The outside drain pipe is rusted out and cracked.  That's something that he can't fix but was able to clear my drain and it works like a dream now.  I'll just have to get someone out to replace that pipe but would have never known if Ray did not discover it.  His price is very fair and charged me exactly as the quote that was given even though he went beyond what any normal person in his field would do. I highly recommend him, he is fair, honest, and a good family man.  I can't say enough good things about him.

I wish there were 6 stars for Ray.

President's day weekend.  My kitchen sink was blocked on Sunday night and while I tried all the home remedies, there was only one thing to do and that was call someone.  I went on line and researched by distance, by rating, reading every comment..  Bottom line, I wasn't happy about having to call a plumber on my day off and deal with this.

Decided on Precision Rooter and Ray. This was the first service I called.  It was before 8 am on Monday (President's) day.  He was so polite and accommodating.  I felt sympathy in his voice. Seriously.   Said he could be there bet. 11 and 12 and that he would call 20 mins before.  And he did.

He arrived on time. He fixed my blocked drain in 20 mins.  He was extremely clean and left the cabinet under my sink, cleaner than when he got there.  The whole experience was just great.

If you need someone, please don't hesitate for a sec.  Call Ray.

I just got my kitchen sink drained cleared and it couldn't have been an easier process.  I called at 9:15am to set an appointment for the afternoon.  Ray called 15 minutes prior to arriving at my house and spent less than 30 minutes fixing the problem.  He found another problem with my garbage disposal and recommended that I try to save some money and do a quick fix with a new washer and some putty, but would gladly be able to fix it later in the evening if I wanted.  (I am opting to try to fix it myself, by the way).  But, I appreciated his honest recommendation and his fast, very friendly service.  

And, he left the area under the kitchen sink cleaner than when he first started working.  

Excellent service.  Thumbs up.  five stars.  Give them a call.

Our main sewer was flooding and 30 minutes later, VOILA! Ray did his magic. What a relief! He also gave me couple of tips! Oh and get this, I forgot to ask him about my laundry sink. I phoned him five minutes after he had left, and he came back to take a look at it. The sink had nothing to do with what he came for but he came back and addressed the issue. Just an awesome guy altogether!

What can I say about Ray.......He saved the day!

We needed help with our clogged shower drain and ended up Very Happy to find Ray with Precision Rooter on Yelp. It can be a little scary having to find a repair or service person out in the world. SO many bad seeds out there who are just plain untrustworthy.

But, Ray was everything we were hoping to find: Friendly, Honest, Skilled, Very Reasonably Priced, Prompt and Courteous. I heartily agree with all of the happy customers below and the best thing is that we knew there would not be any BS thanks to his flat rate service and guarantee as well.  We just knew there had to be a good guy like you out in the world and we found you!  I wish we had called sooner!!!

I found Precision Rooter & Drain on yelp and decided to call them because I always have trouble with my storm drains and we are expecting a lot of rain this weekend.

When I called someone answered and said he could come out the next day.   This person was Ray.   Ray called the next day to let me know he was on his way.  He arrived right on time.    He went on the roof and cleared the storm drain.  He found some old paint in there that was clogging the drain.   I cannot tell you how many plumbers I have called to clear that drain every year and not one has pulled something like that out.  I had that area painted about 5 years ago so it has been in there that long.   He then when and checked the drain in the yard and cleared that one too.   Since he was here I asked him to check the shower drain and that one was fine.

Ray was fantastic.  He was very polite, fast and professional.  I would highly recommend Precision Rooter & Drain to anyone who has clogged drain issues.  Now if I could find a great handyman like this.

Ray  was great.  He cleaned out my side storm drain in 10 minutes then went in again with the snake to make triple sure it was clear.  He came when he said he would and did what he said he would and charged what he advertised.

I'd had  another storm drain clog up about 6 months ago and called Discount.  They charged $205 to do the same thing on another storm drain.  Precision charged $75 for vs. $205.  Some Discount!

Great job, great price and they are 100% local company.  Precision is now in my house's rolodex.  They do work all over SF/Peninsula.

To all the yelpers out their, you got to give this  guy a try if you have any drain issues . As a bussiness owner i must say he always gets the the job done, he is fair and resonable with his rates. I would even say he is very cheap compared to other big companies. And most importantley I admire his integerity. I would never have an issue with refering some of my customers to Ray and if any person out their is second guessing themselves, its at least worthwhile to call and see if he can be any help and what is involved.

Again I would highly recomand Ray at precision.

Sunday morning bathtime turned into a mess when the bath & toilet backed up, spewing stinky water all over the floor.  A Yelp, then a call to Ray and we had a date - between 12 and 1, he said.  He called 20 minutes before arriving, as promised, and showed up right at 12:30.    Ray was polite, through & efficient as he quickly diagnosed the problem and identified his best method of accessing the clog.  Undeterred by a painted-over cleanout, he had us flushing freely within an hour, and even gave us a break on the weekend surcharge.  Overall, a very pleasant experience.

One note - the $75 deal is only for cleaning out easily accessed drains - they have a flat-fee schedule for a number of different types of services.  Ray was clear about this from the outset, and the service and expertise was well worth the $125 we paid...

No way! No holes without second opinion!

My mother needed some plumbing work and I figured Yelp would be my best bet. I've never read so many glowing reviews about any business until I found Precision. Decided to give it a go and it was the best decision I've made in a long time. All the glowing reviews about Ray panned out, my mother was so pleased and said she is so happy that she has found a plumber! She stated that since he is young he will outlive her, so if she needs help in the future he'll be around. He was friendly, helpful, fair, thorough and reasonable. Ray called, as previously agreed, 15 min before arriving. Our sewage was backed up. He asked a few questions to assess the situation and got to work. He gave me helpful advice on how to prevent the problem in the future and gave me a detailed description of his read on the quality of our plumbing. Before he left he made sure to clean up and offered a 30 day guarantee. Solid guy. Solid service. Highly recommended!

The sewer outside my house was backed up.  I called Precision at 9 am.  They gave me a 11 -1 window.  I received a courtesy call within that window and 15 minutes later Mario arrived.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me a quote of $195 to $225.   He snaked my sewer and fixed the problem.  I had a slow running sink upstairs and he fixed it for no extra charge.  I paid $195.  I am very satisfied and will be a repeat customer if I have any plumbing problems in the future.  I appreciate the honest, fair, and professional treatment.

When unpleasant things start bubbling up from the drains in the garage and next to the house outside the laundry room, who do you call? Precision Rooter and Drain, that's who!  
Seeing the muck on the garage floor and fearing the worst, my first move is always to Yelp. This is a job for...who?  I often rely on Yelp to help me figure it out.  I know I have had plumbers scare the hell out me with their cries of doom and estimates to match. I figure that some research to find the best service provider for the job is worth my time.  When you find the company with all five star ratings, do you feel pretty confident? You bet!
Precision was everything everyone said.  I called around noon, they promised to have someone there before 4PM.  Ray called at 3:30 and said he'd be there in about 15 minutes.  He was professional and courteous as he assessed the problem and cleared the drain in pretty short order, assuring me that he found no tree roots or other big issues of concern.  He explained what he had done, including hosing down much of the remaining muck from the garage floor, and told me how he tested the drain to make sure it was now clear.  I paid the $145 fee as estimated and off he went into the sunset.  My hero of the day.  Thanks Ray and Precision Rooter and Drain.

I highly recommend this company. Ray was absolutely amazing! He came right when they said he would and was able to fix the toilet in a record of 15 minutes flat. We compared pricing with other companies who lied and tried to steal money from us. It was only 135$ to fix the toilet with the 10$ off Yelp coupon. I will be using them from now on!!! If you have any plumbing problem just call them up and they can do a realistic and honest quote!!!

Wow.these guys are amazing! I called the other 5 star guy and he has yet to call back. A one man band and that is just fine. These people actually have someone answering the phone! Imagine that. When I asked to set up an appointment in the next week they said why not in an hour? They are there now.prices are the normal ($145) but that is what you will pay. Nothing sucks as much as plumbing work and I have done plenty with two houses over the years. The quick response was amazing. They are keeping me updated as they work. SIX STARS!!!

Mario came to our office in SOMA less than an hour after we called and helped us unclog our kitchen sink. He was very professional, friendly, and capable. He said it would probably take him about an hour to do and he did it in less, which was really appreciated! Prices are reasonable / good, and I was really happy with the entire experience. I think we have found our go-to plumbers and I'd highly recommend their services!

Basically the exact same review as most everyone else.  Our upstairs kitchen sink was somehow overflowing through our downstairs bathroom sink.  We called, were told it'd probably be about $145, Mario was out within the hour, he unclogged it, and we paid $145.  No complaints.

Oh, and he didn't try to upsell.  We told him that the bathtub next to the sink has been draining slowly for a while.  He tested it and didn't think it was too bad.  He said he could clear it for $75 more, but actually recommended against it.  And he also told us we could probably snake it ourselves if necessary.

I have used Ray 3 times to clear clogs. Each time he has been prompt, polite, friendly and efficient. He gets the job done quickly. I am always hesitant to call people to service my house as I just feel uncomfortable and out of my element. I would never hesitate to call Ray. He is a good guy.

Had a sewer clog and called a plumber who couldn't get the clog cleared and wanted $300.00 to use a high pressure snake. I declined and called Precision Rooter and Drain who had nothing but 5 stars and rave reviews. Ray called few minuted before arrival and got the clog cleared in 15 minutes. Ray ran the snake a second time for assurance the clog was completely cleared. As quoted the price was $145.00. Thank you very much Ray and Precision Rooter & Drain.

It is painful to spend money on drain clearing. Nothing about the situation is pleasant from the back-up to the clean-up. However Ray from Precision made it bearable by being on time, very efficient, super sweet and way less expensive than I expected. He came, he estimated, he conquered and he left. If I could have given him 10 stars I would have.

Cannot Complain. Had him come out over the holidays. I believe his name was Ray. Had a plugged drain. As advertised it was 75 bucks to clear the flooded garage. 30 day warranty on the service. He was on his way in less than 30 minutes.

A thing to note, I saw on the receipt that its 75 bucks for the first hour. If the job takes longer, I think the deal doesn't stand.

In any case, he seemed like a honest guy who wont try to get more work out of you.

We had a problem of clogged sewage system. Mario came and tried to fix it but the problem seemed to be of a broken pipe and bigger issue than he could handle. He was fair telling me that I did not have to pay but only paid what I thought was fair. I paid him about half of what I owed him if he had fixed the problem, but I appreciated the fairness and recommend them for this.

Ray replaced two toilets for me and did not charge me for some extra time he spent figuring out which toilet to use.  He was timely and efficient. He then proceeded to snake a drain which another plumber had told me could not be snaked.  He gave me his hourly rate, which is very reasonable, up front and his estimate for time spent was quite accurate.  I highly recommend Precision Rooter and Drain!

So after reading how Ray saved everyone's life from sewer disasters, I called him at 12:30pm to leave a msg and he answered!  Impressive. He came out the next day and spent two hrs clearing out the blockage -- a damn tampon created a dam, damn it.  Sewage also backed up in the lightwell which he cleaned it up for me--great, I didn't have to suit up and descend into that muck to clean it up.  I love this guy.

Watch out for Bait and Switch.
Receptionist was prompt and helpful when I requested her advise to provide services for an annual or semi-annual clean-out of my main line.   She advised this was a standard service with one price for no-stairs and another if stairs are involved.   When her technician arrived, the price nearly doubled, with him advising that the stair price quoted was only for two steps.   First, what house in SF does not have stairs or only a couple (I have ten)?   Second, why wouldn't she advise the quote might go up if more than two stairs (I note the stair price was already materially larger than the no-stair price, so I did not think to ask).   Thirdly, I can barely think of an easier stair price job, given my property has direct alley access to the backyard, the stairs are sturdy railroad ties and spaciously ideal for moving equipment (no turns or difficult spots at all), and all work can be done from a deck.   Finally, why would the price nearly double for an assistant to help move the equipment?   Perhaps the highly expensive assistant would have been apparently required in any case to move the equipment from the van and up two steps for the stair price.   When I advised I did not wish to proceed because of the significant price jump, the technician had the audacity to ask me to his cover travel costs.   I appreciated the phone call from the owner after the situation, although he felt absolutely nothing was mishandled by his firm.    Fortunately my job was not urgent so I did not hire them, nor will in the future.  If you're in an urgent situation, buyer beware.

Wow!  With all the rain recently and a clogged main drain, my ground floor bathroom was about to flood.  I tried calling some of the top rated Rooter companies listed on yelp and no one could come out the same day.  The forecast was calling for 3 more days of heavy rain!  Luckily I got in touch with Ray at Precision Rooter and he was at my house in 30 minutes.  Ray was very professional and had all of the equipment available to unclog the main drain.  What a relief!  Their pricing is very fair.  Ray is very friendly and professional.  He answered all of my questions.  I highly recommend Precision Rooter and will not hesitate to use them again.

Ran into a plumbing problem on Sunday and went into a panic, luckily, I was able to find this company on Yelp and Ray was there (as promised) in 90 minutes and took care of the problem in under an hour.  We did have to pay the weekend rate of $105 per hour, but Ray was helpful & friendly and we were able to enjoy the rest of our Sunday.

We called Ray to clear a kitchen drain that was completely clogged. It also started to leak below the sink after I vigorously pumped it with a plunger. Ray came out the next morning as promised, and fixed the clog, which took almost 3 hours because of the need to take the drain apart, then reinstall through some cabinetry. Ray worked assiduously and charged more than the $70 we expected, but considering the tough job, the $136 we ended up paying was a very fair price.  We will definitely use Ray again.

Clogged dishwasher pipe which caused a big mess in our kitchen.  I called them at 9am & Mario was here in 20 minutes giving me a call he was on his way.  The service was fast, clean and efficient.  He cleared our pipes, showed me the source of the problem and did some water tests to ensure the leak was repaired and backup was cleared.  Such a relief to find a professional plumber who is knows what he's doing and does it with a reasonable price (cost: $145).  When this happened last time, I tried another plumber (big mistake) & same service was almost $500--never again.  

You won't be disappointed in them & I will only use Precision & refer them to everyone.  I am so happy with the service!

Excellent service!

After reading all the great Yelp reviews, I decided to give Precision Rooter & Drain a call.  Ray answered right away and offered to come out that evening, over the weekend or during the week.  I was fine on waiting until a weekday when the hourly rate was lower.  

He called me back about 20 minutes before he was due to arrive to tell me he was on his way.  He showed up right on time.  Very, very nice guy. He's courteous, kind, and professional.  He had the bath sink snaked and leak free in just a half an hour, and it was affordable to boot.

I'll definitely give him a call again with any plumbing issues.

Top-notch service. Ray cleared a clogged drain that two previous plumbers said couldn't be cleared without opening a wall and replacing the pipe. And he did it quickly. On top of that, really friendly & easy to deal with. He showed up right on time and offered free follow-up service if anything goes wrong in the next three months. Five-and-a-half stars.

Ray gave me a quote, came to my house, cleared my main drain, and all is flowing great again!  He is a stand-up person and a great plumber.  He knows his stuff!  

I never wanted to call a plumber because I was sure they would charge over the estimate (or not give a estimate over the phone) and of course attempt to up sell me, but he didn't.  He said $145.00 over the phone and that's what it was.  Other plumbers I called gave me crap like I need to look at it first or it really depends on what I see.  I even called another highly rated plumbers from Yelp and they never called me back.  

I explained the situation to Ray and he gave me a quote.  He got to my house, got to work and got the drain running like I've never seen before.  He never was puzzled about what he had to do...he just did it...and quickly too.  Thanks Ray for not being like every other plumber out there.

Don't waste your time with other plumbers, call Precision...really!

Three cheers (and 5 stars) for Mario and Precision Rooter! I had a sump pump stop working on a Friday afternoon. Would've had to ask my in-law tenants to move out for the weekend if Precision hadn't come through so quickly. Fast, efficient, reasonable price, and the results I needed. I'm indeed grateful. And now have Precision on speed dial.

Absolutely great group of people! The biggest fear of any homeowner...the broken sewer line from the house...is it going to 5K or 20K?! Mario and Ray were over in under 30 minutes, had the problem diagnosed and in 4 days, had city permits pulled, my driveway dug up, the upper lateral repaired, the inspectors approval, and then my driveway put back in place. Great work and so easy to deal with.

Two toilets in two units are work were blocked. Precision responded immediately, came within their slot, called ahead, and even though it took more than double the time to solve them problem than initially thought they stuck to the initial quote. The quoting system was upfront and clear - $190 to $250 depending on what they need to do and where they need to insert the lines. If we need them again I wil definitely use them again.

I've had Precision Rooter & Drain come over twice - once to unclog a tub drain and once to unclog a toilet.  Both experiences have been excellent.  They arrived quickly (within a couple of hours of my calling) both times and had the problems taken care of within 20 minutes or so.  Hooray for Precision Rooter & Drain!  Call them.

Yesterday I had a toilet that would not flush, so I called and spoke with Ray at Precision Rooter & Drain based on all of the wonderful reviews I had already read about him here on Yelp. I told him the problem, and he said he had one job to go to first, but that he could come over right afterwards and look at my toilet. When he got here, he brought in his trusty auger and cleared the clog right away, and then he inspected the tank parts, and showed me that the flapper was not closing properly, so the tank was not filling up with water as it should, so the toilet was not flushing properly. He replaced the flapper for me, and voila, it was working perfectly again...:)

I am a Chief Engineer at a high rise in San Francisco.  I got my automatic drain cleaner stuck in the drain (60 ft down).  I called Ray and he showed up in 45 minutes.  He got it out!  Total professional and the most ridiculously reasonable rates.  He doesnt know this but he should be charging double!

I tried to endure a blocked drain to the sewers while awaiting the return of a trusted plumber from vacation but then the rains came and things got increasing ugly, flooded basement with grey water.... Biting the bullet I called Precision, leaving a message the Sunday morning after New Year's. It was clearly going to a painful and expensive process even if these guys were working Sunday; except it wasn't...Ray called right back, made an appointment for an hour later, showed up, cleared all the drains and charged a Sunday rate of $175--the normal rate was $105 I think. No muss, no fuss and I'm going to have a shower now. 10/10 for Ray. cheers

Ray is amazing!!! First off, two weeks ago I had a clogged drain and he fixed it. Secondly, I just called him to explain that I think I broke my garbage disposal.....well, he talked me through it and I fixed it! All by myself - well, with him on the phone with me, but still - I did it! He not only made me feel great that I fixed my own garbage disposal, but I didn't have to pay a cent. Thank you Ray! Had a partial clog in main line. Non emergency. Called Precision and they immediately gave me a 2-4 window but called about an hour later and asked if they could come out in 20 minutes.   Mario arrived with the electric snake rooter and went a goo 25 feet with it, freeing the clog and making it drain perfectly.  He was friendly, efficient and did the job expertly.  I highly recommend Precision and Mario and will definitely use them again should any plumbing issues arise.  Good to find and nice small business like this as a keeper.

After I worked on the clogged drain for over an hour, I was stumped.  We called Precision.  Fifteen minutes later, Mario showed up and after another fifteen minutes, he had the problem solved and he was cleaning up.  The next time I will be calling Precision and requesting Mario.

Outstanding service.  I called and they told me they could have someone there that day within a 2 hour time window.  The price was reasonable compared to what others were saying.  About 40 minutes into the 2 hour window their man called, Mario and said he was 20 minutes away.  He arrived, dealt with the problem quickly and efficiently.  He cleaned up after himself and was completely professional and friendly.  I could not have asked for a better experience.

My situation - snaking out a bathroom sink - probably wasn't the most complicated or challenging task in the world, but what sets apart this experience from my last plumber call was literally the precision. I called at 9:10 AM, was told they had an opening 11am-1:30pm, and that I would receive a courtesy call about 20 min prior. Literally at 10:40 I got that call. At 11:01 the tech knocks on my door. He looks at the sink, gets the right snake from the truck, and pulls out a hairball the size of a small rat a few min later. We're wrapping up at 11:14, and I've got the receipt in my hand at 11:17. I'll definitely call these guys next time.

OK, I found this company on Yelp, and my experience today confirmed the reviews I read here.  I called about my plugged tub and sink drains at 11:30am on a Friday, Ray called me back in 20 minutes and was over within an hour.  He was friendly, professional, quick, and didn't make a mess.  And the $145 quote was exactly what I paid; no upselling, no mysterious potential problems to have him come fix later.  Highly recommended!

I called Ray Willis about a kitchen sink leak that had been plaguing me for years. I had tried a number of fixes myself and only achieved temporary success. Ray came exactly when he said he would, systematically diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He replaced the worn gasket that was the cause of the leak. Afterward, he pointed out that the threads on my p-trap were stripped but that the drain wasn't leaking. I asked him to replace it and he promptly did with a part in his truck. There was absolutely no pressure to do more than what the job required. He thoroughly cleaned up when he was done. He is also very polite. On time, reasonable price, great quality, what more could you ask for?

Thank you Yelp and thank you Ray.  Responsive (within 90 minutes of my call), courteous, professional, reasonable, knowledgeable, positive, friendly, and equipped with the right tools - a perfect experience.  Ray came out to clear a basement drain which had clogged twice in the recent heavy rains leaving us with a bit of a flood.  He and his machinery recovered some large clumps of tree roots and soil from deep within our drain which I am sure must be the culprits.  I would recommend Ray and Precision without hesitation.

I called Precision Plumber this morning in dire need of someone to come out as my bathtub and toilet looked like they were about to explode.  Ray got out to the house about an hour after I called (right when he said he would be there)  He promptly diagnosed the problem and efficiently and professionally took care of the problem.  Due to the access vent he had to truck all his equipment through my house, but was very nice about cleaning it up when he left and asking if he had done a good enough job leaving the place as he found it when he got there (minus the clogged plumbing)  I will definitely use Ray and Precision if I have any more plumbing needs and would recommend him to anyone!

I called these guys mid-afternoon, hoping they could come out late afternoon (yeah, probably too optimistic on my part) but they were available, arrived a few minutes early, and were done in about 20 minutes.  Admittedly, my rooter issue was probably pretty simple, but Ray did a great job nonetheless and was very professional about it.  I have no qualms giving him 5 stars and hope everyone has such luck in the future.  $87 well spent.

We had major drainage problems in our house. First the kitchen sink stopped working a while ago, and after several attempts by my dad with a store-bought hand-grind snake and some other cheap services, we were told that the main pipes probably collapsed and the only thing left to do was to dig up the whole pipe and place new ones. Then the washer drain also clogged and backed up into the bathtub. I had had enough and found this company on Yelp and gave it a try.
Ray was very professional in every aspect. I called at around 11am and he said he could come in at 2. He called 15 minutes ahead to give us notice and when he was at the door. He was very friendly, courteous, and considerate, explained to me the problem and the process, and fixed the sink in a little over half an hour. And the washer drain/bathtub? 5 minutes. I had all but given up on the kitchen sink, and he not only fixed it but made sure it was completely clear. He also cleaned up after the work was done. Couldn't ask for more.
God forbid if the sink gets clogged again...but I would definitely call Ray for any plumbing problems. He's a great guy and does a great job.

What a great experience. As on-site manager for my parents' properties, I've had to deal with a bunch of other rooting services.  My experience with Ray Willis of Precision Rooter was as good as it gets.  The pricing is very reasonable.  One clog was difficult, and 70 minutes into it, he dragged out a giant and long cluster of hair.  He cleaned up well afterwards, and things are running smoothly now.  I was surprised to see I'm the first one giving a review.

I discovered that my kitchen drain got clogged on a Saturday morning.  I found Precision Rooter thru yelp and read the positive feedbacks.  I called and left a voice mail message for Ray.  I received a return call the same day and received a quote of $75 for weekday service, so I decided to have my drainage un-clogged on Monday rather than the weekend.  Weekend rate is extra $50.  Since I have to go to work early on Monday, I asked Ray if he can come early in the morning between 7 and 7:30.  Ray was very obliging and he finished the job in about 20 minutes.  Excellent service.  Friendly guy !

Great customer service and job well done!  Ray promptly returned my phone call, came out same day (with a 20 minute phone call reminder/alert), inspected slowly draining tub and pipes downstairs, answered all my questions, showed me what he found clogging drain (wow!), continued working more to be sure it was all clear, inspected pipes downstairs again to be sure no leakage... excellent all around, and I definitely recommend!

Must echo comments by Emily L. and Mike M.  Had a mainline drain blockage over the weekend a few weeks ago.  Imagine calling early Monday morning, getting an appointment with Ray for a 10-12 window that same day, he shows up at 10:30, gone by 11, $145 as advertised and no reclogging since, with 30 day guarantee were there to have been a relapse.  For someone who has suffered much and often at the hands of flaky/slippery plumbers and painters, the only reaction is Wow!

We had a problem with low water pressure coming out of our kitchen sink.  The water was trickling out, and it was impossible to do any washing.  We called Ray, and he came down the same day.  He was very friendly and professional.  Ray was prompt about the time that he said that he was coming out and fixed the problem within an hour.  He left a clean job. Ray called to say he would be late, then called again to give a few minutes notice. Replaced my archaic toilet, then looked at the stopped up garbage disposal and said I can fix it for $70 but you can do it yourself in a few minutes. Then he taught me what I needed to do! He was cheerful, clear, a fast worker, carried the old toilet out to the garbage area, and cleaned up any mess he made. Total cost was just his hourly rate plus parts: $159.00.

I called Precision (with a clogged kitchen sink) at about 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.  I was told that someone would be out between 10:30-11:30 a.m.  Mario showed up at 10:30 and went straight to work.  He had to go out to buy a part - which, unfortunately, took longer due to the fact that it's a part that not everyone carries - so he had to drive around to several places before he found it.  When Mario returned with the parts, he finished the job quickly.  Everything was back to normal in no time!  Thanks Mario!

I found this company using Yelp. It's as good as advertised. We had a dire situation; our sewer was backing up into our downstairs bathroom. We called and said it was an emergency. They said they'd be there in 30 minutes, but actually arrived in 15. Mario surveyed the scene, assured me he could fix it. Half an hour later, it was all done. There's a 30-day warranty on the work. Pleasant, professional, efficient.

Based on the yelp reviews for this business, I called Precision.  The person who took my call gave me a window from 2 to 4 pm and said that someone would call me 15 to 20 minutes prior to arriving.  A gentleman named Ray called me to give me 15 minutes  lead time, arrived, evaluated and explained our plumbing problem, and got to work.  Ray cleared the drain promptly, was neat and tidy, and could not have been nicer.  While I hope I do not have to use Precision soon again, I would call them immediately if I had another problem.  This company and Ray have truly earned their five star rating.

I decided to use a home auger to clear out the clog in the kitchen sink and augured right through the corroded pipe!. Mario arrived less than two hours after I called and replaced the corroded pipe in 15 minutes. He explained how commercial products can corrode the pipes and showed me the damage. I had to pay extra for the holiday service, but it was worth it. Thanks, Yelpers, for the recommendation.

These guys rock. Had a blocked sewer line and called a hack out  who used one of those snakes you rent at Home Depot, of course the line backed up again after he left, a waste of $$$.  Ugh. I feared our line had collapsed. But decided to try Precision and  their 30-day guarantee. Ray came out and started to work.His tools were a major upgrade from the other guy. He asked if the guy used his snake from the garage out to the street, which he had. Ray told me that was the wrong way to do it, and that it needed to be done in reverse. Right away Ray unglogged the line, but continued to go through the line to make sure it was clear, the he went through again for good measure! You can tell Ray liked to figure out the problem and enjoys his work. I'm one of those homeowners who likes to know what was going on and Ray patiently explained each step of the process. To top it off the prices were super low and Precision offers a first time discount and that 30-day guarantee. Again, cannot say enough nice things about my experience, these guys are good!
