Established in 2016.
After years of being a service plumber, I would sometimes hear the same answer from customers when I asked how they felt when they called a plumber. Many would say that while their basic service was done, they missed the attention to small details, the personal one-on-one attention to their plumbing needs that sometimes goes by the wayside. Pocket Plumbing is not part of the rat race. So with that, I'm able to give you excellent, professional service, while not charging by the hour. I focus on the customer in front of me, not the next waiting call. Simply put, Pocket Plumbing's philosophy is that plumbing issues shouldn't leave your house wet and your pockets dry. I was a service plumber for 6 years then a state plumber for 3 years. My experience covers a wide variety of residential and commercial issues. My heart is definitely in service plumbing because helping people to keep their home running smoothly brings me a sense of accomplishment!

Charles came to the rescue!  Washing machine failed and then shutoff valves leaked like crazy.  Told me over the phone how to fix the leak in the valves so I could have water in the house, then came by between appointments to see what was needed, and returned early afternoon to do the repair.  All this after a 3-day weekend when he was very busy.

Woke up this last week to get ready for work, and found my water heater turned waterfall in my garage.  Called Charles first thing (as we had some excellent work done by him a few months prior) and amazingly, he would be free later in the afternoon to, not only replace our water heater, he would remove our current water heater, take it away, purchase the new water heater, and transport it to our house, all for a seriously fair price.  Oddly enough, when I called in the morning he was doing the same job on a duplex just around the corner from us.  

Charles is first class.  The man lives in our community, and serves our community.  In his own words, he wants to be able to look you in the face, months or years after he's done the work, and ask you how everything is going, and you'll still be satisfied with the job.   Customer service is one thing.  Charles takes it to a whole different level.  He will stay until the job is done.  He's a hard worker, a problem solver, and a great guy.  

He has a customer in me for life, with no hesitation, and I would highly recommend him to friends and family (and have).

I almost don't want to leave this review, because Pocket Plumbing is easily the best plumbing company in the region, and if too many people realize they are the best there will be fewer appointment times available. However, not to be selfish, Charles and Pocket Plumbing are the best, period. Charles is amazing when it comes to diagnosing and fixing problems. He is more than talented and professional - he is kind, and goes out of his way to help everyone he works with. If you are lucky enough to get to work with Charles, you will be totally happy with the repair and you will also be glad to have met someone who is both kind and dedicated. I would not trust any plumbing work to anyone else, and I am so glad that Charles and Pocket Plumbing are available. If there were ten stars available they would deserve all of them.

Unbelievably good service .  Same day !  Replaced a water heater within hours of calling . Was way below the quotes from other nearby companies and way above expectations .  Charles accommodated us above and beyond . Need a plumber ? Shop local and shop small . Don't use the big guys that advertise on the TV and radio as you are the ones paying for that advertising and you get better value with the small local businesses .

Hired Charles and his team to help with a house flip I was doing. First time working with them and they did not disappoint. Re-piped the entire house, completed installs of the kitchen and bathroom supply lines for the sinks and drains, set tub and shower pan and hooked up supply lines for outside sprinklers. These guys work hard, do great work and are priced well. Special thanks to David who was out several times and goes above and beyond every time. Toni is great to work with as is Drew. All my future work will run through Charles and his team. Thank you for providing me with great service at a reasonable price.

I gave five stars because I couldn't give 100 stars. That is how awesome the service was. I lost water to my house this morning when a PVC pipe for my sprinklers broke. Another company came out and it was going to be almost $300 since that's their base service price. The owner, Charles, of Pocket Plumbing came and fixed it for free. All it needed was some glue and he didn't feel right about charging his base fee of $75 for such a minor repair. Water is back on in the house and I have found my go to plumber. Honesty and kindness is hard to find these days. Charles is proof it still exists. Thanks for getting the water flowing and being so nice and helpful.

Quick and easy to make the appointment, showed up right on time, and fixed my leaky kitchen sink and replaced the fixture promptly. David L. was very friendly and professional. He communicated well about my various options and helped me understand parts, costs, warranties, etc. He went the extra mile. Cleaned up when he was done working, and also sweetly interacted with my 3-year-old who was fascinated by his tools. Great service, I will use them again.

Let me just start by saying that Charles is professional yet down to earth.  I called him on a Monday and he was out to fix my swaying/tilting toilet on Tuesday.  Less than one hour later and I no longer have to worry about my friends/family falling off the rocking toilet.  We had a scheduled time and he was professional enough to notify me with plenty of notice that he was running late and had to push back our appointment;  which he ended up being faster than he thought he would be.  He explained to me how he was going to fix the toilet problem and I appreciated being kept in the loop.  He came highly recommended on Next Door and after today, I know why.

Charles is an awesome man... We found ourselves with drainage and toilet issues. Tried everything, spent so much money on products and other things. Bottom line, nothing worked. I was pretty worried since it was Sunday that it will be a hassle to find someone to come and fix it but it needs to get fixed right away. With all the positive Yelp review I was reading about I gave it a chance and request a quote. Within minutes I got a no BS reply from Charles, talked with him on the phone and pretty much put my mind at ease regarding the financial aspect and the options that I have. Brandon the guy he sent to my house is pretty awesome as well. We found the clean out right away and the problem was over in mere minutes. Granted its not always an easy fix but I'm glad mine was!!!

Contacted Charles via Yelp on Saturday (because of his great reviews) to get a bid on replacing 3 toilets in our home (the last person we contacted said he would be back and is still MIA!). We had already purchased the toilets and had them sitting in our garage. Charles was one of the first people to get back to me with a bid (with in an hour). His bid was also the best beating most plumbers by at least 20% so we decided to go with him. What can we say except true professinal!  He was on time, respected hour home (we don't wear shoes and are pretty clean, he wore booties) and he knew his craft, never up selling us. What he quoted us is what we paid.

Super personal too the hubby (who does not care too much for people) enjoyed chatting with him. Elk Grove is not usually a city Charles services but, I'm glad he was our plumber. Charles you know you got clients for life right? Ha ha so we will contact you again need be, hope you will come this way :)

Our home's main drain was clogged. Charles Washington of Pocket Plumbing promptly responded to my request for a service call. He immediately spotted the clog's cause and then fixed it. Charles is my new go-to plumber.

I can only comment on my initial impression since I never got any services provided. I called last Friday requesting a quote for a service. Based on what I provided over the phone, I was told they only needed 30 minutes. So someone was scheduled to come by on Monday at 10am. I received an automated reminder text on Monday at 9am about the appointment, which asked me to click on a link to confirm it. I did. That was my last communication with them. 10am came and went. Someone called me about 12:30pm. No message left. I am all about first impressions and if a company can't bother to text, email, or call to reschedule an apt I'm moving on to the next person.

Awesome service from Charles!! He definitely deserves your business. My fiancé dropped a plastic cap to her body spray down the toilet as it was flushing, which was perfect size to get stuck in the toilet passage way, and overflowed her toilet. Tried to get it out myself by no luck. I called Charles at 5pm and even though I was out of his area and he was busy with another job he offered to come fix and for a reasonable price compared to everyone else who told me they couldn't make out till after the weekend! He kept in contact till he got to the house and was fast, professional and extremely friendly :) Even swapped out the broken toilet handle with one he had in his truck no extra charge. Can't say enough good things about him other than he more than deserves your business!! Thanks again man!

What more can I say... except that Pocket Plumbing is the best! I won a contest over a year ago for a 150 dollar credit on plumbing work. Charles an a contest through Next Door and I won. Fast forward to the present day and wouldn't you know I need a new toilet installed. The old one was leaking and generally hanging on by its toilet seat. So I broke down and bought a new one. I needed to install it and I knew that it wouldn't install itself. Then I remembered I had a credit from Pocket Plumbing. I message Charles and the same day he says that the credit is still good and just all his office to make an appointment. So I called and they got me in the next day! He came and he installed it will no problem at all and now I can go back to my business with a spanking fresh new toilet. Even though I had a credit, I would not hesitate to use them again when I need it. He was very professional and on time and did the job quickly and effortlessly. I am glad to have Charles and pocket Plumbing in my neighborhood.

I have to remind myself that sometimes the bigger companies aren't the answer to every plumbing issue.  After having to call one of the larger companies twice for what ended up being the same issue (2 clogs that lead to the same drain blockage) I decided to call Pocket Plumbing based on the reviews I saw.  Charles, the owner came along with an assistant which was great because there were a few times that this job seemed to call for two people in two different locations in the house. My issue had to do with a blockage in the water supply to a shower and Charles was able to walk me through step by step how he was going to find the blockage and the steps he would have to take to fix the problem depending on how severe it was, and he kept me abreast of the cost the whole time so no surprises (in the end it was very reasonable), he was also good enough to make adjustments to other fixtures in the same bathroom that would be directly affected by this new flow of water all at little cost or the cost of a replacement part. He also talked to me about options for other repairs if I couldn't manage the huge cost all at one time. Very appreciated.

If I could give bonus stars, I would do it in a heart beat. Charles is awesome. One of the few last honest tradesmen. He came in and fixed our shower after being run around by another company for over two months. He was able to fix the valve that the other guys could not find parts for. Turns out, if you just do the work and really check what's going on, you just had to fix the crappy installation that was done by the previous home owners in the first place...but enough about my stuff.

Charles is straight forward and like I said, honest. He will do the best work he can, and not overcharge or do more than needed to get the job done. I can not recommend him more for the plumbing work in your home. He cleans up after himself and makes sure your home stays nice and tidy, despite the buzz saws and squirting water.

The company may be new...but the experience and pride in his work more than make up for it. Again...HIRE THIS GUY!

David was excellent. You could tell from his work that he knew what he was doing.  He installed a sink, a new stove top, dishwasher and garbage disposal all in one day.  Additionally if he came up against an issue, as always happens, he was very good about asking us before just doing something.  The whole experience was great and I would highly recommend Pocket Plumbing. I know they will be my go to plumber from now on for sure

I agree with the other person who said this... I want to tell you about how wonderful Pocket Plumbing is but I almost don't because they get booked up, and for a good reason!  They not only do an excellent job but treat you like family. Charles and all of his staff are wonderful. As a young woman, it's often hard to be sure you're not getting taken advantage of when it comes to home repair issues.  I had a leak and Charles did not leave until he helped determine the source.  He even loaned me one of his personal blowers to help dry out my floor.  Not to mention he's just a genuinely nice person.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

We bought our home in south land park about three years ago. We knew an older home had the potential for plumbing problems, but we truly were not prepared! I've been through a couple good plumbers, but this is the first time I've found plumbers who truly care and are committed to getting the job done right! They've replaced our old water heater, snaked and unclogged our impossible bathtub, cleared debris from our shower heads and faucets (greatly improving our water pressure), and recently replaced our kitchen faucet and installed our new dishwasher. I am so incredibly impressed with these guys and grateful I found them. I'm a loyal customer and any and all future plumbing work with be done with them, exclusively. Plus, prices are totally reasonable and I trust them implicitly.

I found Pocket Plumbing from many, very high recommendations on Nextdoor. The owner Charles (CW) answered my Saturday call immediately and, because he already had a couple of jobs today, kept me informed as to his arrival very late in the day. He couldn't have been more professional, polite, informative, and, well, a darn good person! His work was clean, and he totally cleaned up after himself. He even put those paper shoes on each time he entered my home. He was here quite a while and was able to do a minor repair to solve my plumbing problem. AND, he didn't even charge me!

If the world had more people like CW in it, we'd ALL be better off!! I can't recommend Pocket Plumbing enough! Thank you, again.

These guys were great. I asked for a quote through yelp and my phone rang in literally a few minutes.  I got scheduled for the same day and Michael stopped by, assessed my problem, and had my drain unclogged quickly.  He provided recommendations to avoid future problems with approximate costs that were super helpful.  Prices are very reasonable I wish I would have used the company earlier.  Highly recommend!

Pocket Plumbing is excellent. I can't recommend them enough.  We had David come yesterday to replace our water heater that had broken and leaked everywhere.  He did a great job. We have several plumping issues, we bought this home in 2015 and were told at the time the galvanized pipes needed repipeing. After David replaced the water heater he went around the house with us (at our request) and checked things out and made recommendations and went over their process with us. From start to finish it was a very pleasant experience and I have to highlight Ahlisa who spoke with me on the phone and countless texts during and after our job, letting us know what to expect and answering questions.  She's so patient and lovely and made everything seemless. Charles came to our home on a last minute call after a well known company flaked, and no showed for their 4 hour window.   He quickly diagnosed the problem and arranged to solve, not only the immediate problem, but also make some adjustments to our 60+ year old sink plumbing.  His prices were very reasonable and he was very easy to work with.  With his professionalism, promptness, and affordable prices, we will use and recommend him in the future for any plumbing needs.  Thank you, Charles, and Pocket Plumbing for solving a mini crisis in our kitchen!

My water heater was about 28 yrs old so I thought to be proactive and get it changed.  Chose pocket plumber and couldn't be more positive about my choice.
Also during the water heater install I asked Charles if he could give an estimate on a leaking faucet.  He not only replaced a part but did not charge me any $ over the estimate of the water heater replacement.
Great customer service ... I would recommend this company (Charles) for any plumbing needs.

David was excellent! Punctual, very courteous and thorough in explaining what needed to done with options. Our bathroom sink faucet was 20 years old with huge calcium build up. It was much easier and less expensive to replace it. He went to the nearby Home Depot and purchased a replacement which actually fit my expense range (he knew cost was a consideration). Anyway he was super nice and very thorough! Hands down, I highly recommend, another plus, they utilize technology (email receipts, voice calling and text confirmations. Very convenient!

On July 1, I contacted Ace Hardware located in Greenhaven to see if they had a reference for a plumber.  Charles Washington was recommended for the job.  I called Charles and left a message and within 30 minutes I received a callback.  We discussed and agreed upon the cost to replace the toilet valve system.  

Charles came by at the proposed time the next day.  I appreciated that he uses shoe booties, because I don't wear street shoes on my floors and carpets!  In addition to the toilet repair, I asked Charles if he wouldn't mind replacing a garbage disposer, although I'm sure he wasn't expecting more work on his day off!  We looked up some disposer options and settled on one.  I was provided the receipt, and there was no upcharge for the unit.  

I, now, have a fully functioning toilet, and a properly installed garbage disposer.  Prior to the disposer install, Charles pointed out that the existing disposer was incorrectly attached to the sink, which is why there was water damage to the under sink cabinet floor.  It is nice to have someone that knows their craft, and to be able to provide knowledgeable and superior service!  It took roughly 2 hours from start to finish, which included travel to pick up the parts.  

I'm happy and very satisfied with the price and services that Charles provided.  He is very professional and super friendly!  I will definitely contact Charles if I need any plumbing services in the future!

Charles did a great job. The service, work and price were all excellent! I had a leaky water main pipe coming into my house I wanted repaired, and he was also able to replace the old shutoff valve and replace the old hose faucet for not much more $ at all. And this was all in the space of like 1-2 days after contacting him. I was able to get a quote the day after I called when Charles came by and I authorized work, which he began and finished- all before I got home from work.
I was really freaking out about not only the how much damage the leak could be doing to my house if it kept on, but also how expensive the job was going to be or how long it would take, or if something new would be discovered by the plumber. None of that is a worry anymore!

Pocket plumbing did an excellent job of installing our new toilets.  Took care of all the necessary lines, installed better seal rings, unpacked the new toilets and hauled away the old ones.  They were a little late due to complications on the prior job, but finished up and did a very good job.  Highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.

They were respectful and wore shoe covers to assure no dirtying of carpeting in the house.  All additional parts and work were disclosed prior to any charges.  Very reasonable prices for the additional parts and labor.

After looking around for water heater repair service, a friend of mine refer me  to Charles from my friend's co worker. Since my area is not in his area, Charles made an exception and repaired my water heater. He gave me good, reasonable price and he's very honest. You can't go wrong with him.

Charles was very professional and down to earth. He definitely cares about his customers which showed in the care he took repairing my master bathroom tub leak. I highly recommend Pocket Plumbing to anyone in the Greenhaven area. Price was fair, it did go up, but Charles was transparent throughout. My leak was a little complicated but he put in extra time in making sure we do not run into future issues. His care is greatly appreciated as our tub is above our Kitchen.  

Charles lives in Pocket and I believe he only serves the Pocket area. His customers are his neighbors and that certainly puts him apart from most other plumbing options. His only single negative review on Yelp was from a potential client that did not even have work completed. This mans' Yelp reviews are so good I almost did not even feel like I needed to leave a review. I'd give him six stars if he wasn't a Yankees fan.

Got an estimate are from a larger company in town who I had heard over charged people and suggested unneeded services. I called them and they charged me $55 to tighten a nut that didn't even fix the problem and estimated approximately $3K to complete my work. Frustrated, I sought a local plumber for a second opinion. Having Charles come out was just what we needed. First, he researched our rather complex problem and figured out what we actually needed. (By the way, that larger company that I mentioned was not only going to over charge us but was also completely wrong about our plumbing needs.) He presented multiple options and then set a day for the work. Not only was Charles efficient, knowledgeable, professional and very friendly, Charles figured out how to complete our complex plumbing job for a fraction of what the big company quoted to do the job. I am so relieved that I found Pocket Plumbing on the Yelp and Nextdoor sites. I was able to thoroughly research and feel confident in the plumber I was hiring. After having a somewhat shady near experience with another plumbing company, that wanted to charge me double what Pocket Plumbing was charging, I can tell you that it pays to check your sources carefully before allowing someone into your home. This experience rates in my top best contractor hires. David L communicated all the information I needed, was exceptionally polite and tidy, and showed up on time. The assistant that called to make my appointment was also very courteous. I am truly grateful that I was able to get an honest plumber to come help me for totally reasonable rates. I needed help installing a garbage disposal. Called and left a voice message at 8:00 am.  Charles called back within a half hour and scheduled me for after lunch. Charles knows what he is doing and is extremely professional! Fixed my water heater leak that we didn't even know about. He also took the time to help us hunt down a weird smell it was letting off and educated us on what is required for earthquakes and such!! Such a lifesaver in this crazy times. Charles is the man...company owner, field crew, billing department, scheduler, and secretary all in one package. Charles and David are great! We bought our first home (a fixer-upper) last year so we have needed a few different plumbing repairs, and Pocket Plumbing has always been outstanding. The prices seem very reasonable and the service/quality is always amazing.

They have done everything from toilet installs and flange replacement, to fixing leaking pipes and new sink installations. They even fixed botched repairs from the first plumber we tried, from before we found Charles...

Well I decided to give Pocket Plumbing another try - since I did hear back from the owner; after my review....  I had called Pocket Plumbing for a service for my mother - and I was lucky enough to be able to speak with Charles.  He took the time to explain to me as to what to look for and how to fix it; he also told me to go ahead and take a picture of a part and send it to him and he would be willing to come replace it if needed.  I really like the fact that he not only took time from his day to talk with me, but he explained to me what to do in a way that anyone could understand, etc....  Because of this experience - I will call Charles again if  I need him, and I just had to update my horrible review.

After seeing good reviews, contacted Pocket Plumbing for a second opinion on work recommended by another plumbing company. Charles was very helpful and honest about the work that did and did not need to be done. His prices were significantly less overall. We put in a tankless water heater and he stayed late the night before Thanksgiving to get it done for us. Will definitely be using him for all of our plumbing needs.

BEST EXPERIENCE WITH A PLUMBER! Came out the same day I called and came ASAP! Charles, the owner, spent time with me on the phone asking questions to understand what the issue was. When I asked for a quote, he was honest and explained the different prices based on what the issue might be- he didn't over promise and under deliver! When he showed up, he was very well dressed and presentable- SMELLED AMAZING! Even though I was the caregiver that called him, he addressed my elderly client that I was looking after and explained who he was and why he was there which instantly put her at ease. When he went into the bathroom which was full of personal items, he handled them with professionalism and respect!
He quickly identified the issue and solved it. My senior and I got world class service and did not feel nickel and dimed. His concern was to provide excellent customer service and he said he wanted to make sure my elderly client was able to use the bathroom with ease.

Note: I didn't end up using Charles but not for any negative reasons. I was desperate to get my water heater replaced and called another company, before I read some rave reviews of Charles at Pocket Plumbing. It looked like the other company wouldn't be able to come right away so I called Charles o schedule an estimate. In the meantime, the first company called back and said they could get me in the next day. So when Charles came for the estimate, I had to tell him I had just committed to another company. I felt bad because he was cheery and polite and enthusiastic despite my not hiring him. He even agreed the company I did use was an excellent company. No sour grapes at all. I plan to have him do work in the future, including an entire house re-pipe. I trust him and like his demeanor and knowledge. So 5 stars is for his customer service and knowledge.

Pocket Plumbing came highly recommended by a friend and now we can second that recommendation. As a structural engineer with a general contractor license, I can say Charles is a pleasure to work with. His motto is thanks for trusting the little guy and it fits. We were on a very tight schedule to remodel our bathroom before the kids got back from college for Thanksgiving break. Like most Land Park homes and older homes in general, the plumbing required some custom work and creativity. Charles kept us on schedule and even came back to fix a defective toilet part on Wednesday before Thanksgiving at dinner hour. Who does that? Just one thing though, he's a Yankee's fan, but I still give him 5+ stars.

Ridiculously over priced , I had to request for an itemized bill 4 times before we received  a receipt with paid amount only. They provide a quote then over charge an additional $90, our quote was $250, and we were charged $345,00 with no explanation as to why. Our service call was to replace  two wax rings and repair running toilet. ( toilet still runs)  Service representative was here and gone within 65 minutes. I inquired on the additional amount charged. They told me service representative would return to explain.. He did not!!  I called again and they reduced charge to the near to  the quote amount.. Of $265.00
It took over a week to get an itemized statement. . We feel as if they gouged us in their price and we received terrible customer service.

I had recently moved to a new home and went to put in our new range, just to realize that the gas line was up too high and the range would not push in. I contacted Charles on the Yelp messenger and he replied very quickly. He was able to come out the same day. He is very professional and kind, he told me he was able to bring down the line and could even do it right then! He did the job perfectly and even made sure that the heater worked when he turned the gas back on. I'm glad to know that I have found a reputable plumber for my area !

We had two showers taken care of by Pocket Plumbing: one repaired that was just installed totally wrong, and one new shower where there was just a bathtub.  Everything works 100% perfectly now!

Charles (the owner) was knowledgeable, thorough and considerate throughout the entire process.  Doesn't make a habit of coming out to West Sac where we are, but was VERY glad he made an exception and hope he does for you too!

Charles did a stellar job at my salon, Hello Curls Salon. I gave him a bit of a challenge since I was out of state when the work commenced and I was unable to meet with him face to face until after the work was completed. He provided excellent customer service, was in contact with me by text and telephone, communicated with me at every step of the way. He double checked my measurements for the shampoo room and also gave me excellent advice about how to create the best walking path for my clients. Plumbing is hard, dirty work, and his attitude and sense of humor shows this is a guy that loves helping clients and will do the best job. Charles was professional, polite and knowledgeable. He completed work on time and on budget. I was extremely impressed with his follow up about a week after I opened to make sure everything was working properly and I was happy with his work. If you are in the Pocket area, the only plumber you need to call is Pocket Plumbing.

I called Charles based on the reviews I saw on Yelp. He came to replace a gasket on a tub overflow valve that was leaking out the floor of a second floor apartment onto the ground below. He was very nice and easy to work with, competent, did a great job, and left the area neat and clean. He shared with me after he finished that he normally stayed very busy in the pocket area and that I was out of his normal work area. But I was glad that he came anyway (at a busy traffic time) to help me with this problem, and said he would help me again now that I've been a client. He said he has gone out of town before to help people with emergency situations. He literally charged me NOTHING for that job because he said he didn't do much! I was truly caught by surprise, since it did take him awhile, and he had gone out of his way and used up more gas than usual on his van. I paid him something, of course, but he wouldn't take much and it was little more than gas money. I called him a second time for another problem and he took good care of that as well and his charge for that job was very reasonable. I highly recommend him. Thanks, Charles.

Charles will FOREVER be our go-to plumber!   We noticed a sagging ceiling in our downstairs bath and called Pocket Plumbing.   Charles showed up at the appointed time, put his booties on, and went to work.   He was great explaining what he was looking for, why he was doing what he was doing, and I could not have asked for better results.   Charles is my kind of man-- his hand shake is his word.  Where I came from, that is the way we did things.   As I told him, you are just good people, Charles, and there aren't many of you around any more.  He totally got what I was saying :-)

The owner is the best there is! No one likes dealing with the super inconvenience of a broken water heater, a cold shower as an adult is the worst then to have a child and no hot water is dreadful.

Anytime I need a plumber, I accept that it's going to take too long to get the work done and in the end I'll feel like I was overcharged. For that reason I ignored a leaky faucet and leaking drain for months. It was like having a toothache that you hope will just goes away. You know it won't, but delusion is better than dentistry.

Pocket Plumbing proved me wrong. Help arrived faster than I expected and the dispatcher kept me updated on their status throughout the process of making an appointment and dealing with the typical delays of such a service. I may have been less tolerant of the one appointment change if I had an emergency, but I didn't.

The young man who showed up (Michael?) was quick and courteous and proposed practical affordable solutions rather than trying to upsell us. Bravo to Pocket Plumbing for how they've decided to conduct business and to Michael for fixing that nagging tooth!

pocket plumbing. if you have a plumbing issue ask for charles at pocket plumbing. we thought we had a
broken pipe under our sink and figured an extensive repair. nope. charles has integrity and is honest. we just had a loose connection. apparently the vibration of the garbage disposal loosen  the pipe fittings. he did a quick repair for a nominal charge. we need more service people with this type of integrity. i will definitely use pocket plumbing if a plumbing issue surfaces again.

This is the second time we have used this plumbing company and have been more then satisfied with the service.  Both times, they came right out and took care of the problem. This time we had a soap dispenser that had a crack in the container and leaked soap all over the floor under the sink.  I called first thing this morning and although Charles was busy with another client at the time, he called me back and eventually came out himself...diagnosed the problem, went and got the new part and came back and installed it. His prices are very reasonable and personally I'm happy to find a local plumber that I can count on to do a good job.

After a bit of slight initial difficulty contacting Pocket Plumbing through the YELP messaging service, I finally got through to Charles, the owner. Once that was squared away, we were scheduled by Charles' office at Pocket Plumbing for a visit to remove our two older toilets and install two new ones that we had selected at LOWES and paid for.

On the day of the job itself, 'David', the assigned employee of Pocket Plumbing who was to perform the work, showed up promptly on schedule at the appointed time, with our two new toilets (that he had picked up at LOWES for us in advance) and ready to begin the work. David is an exceptionally good person, with excellent communications assets, and he set to work removing the old toilets. The first toilet came out and was replaced with hardly any difficulty at all, but when the second toilet was removed, it became apparent that the floor fitting (being of a much older type), would need to be replaced before the new toilet could be installed. This often happens in older homes such as ours, built in 1959, but David went to work removing the old (cast iron) floor fitting and installing a new one (made from PVC). This involved considerable work, requiring some work under the house in its narrow and confined crawl-space (a dirty process!), but this was finally finished and the new toilet put in place.

After several hours (due to the unforeseen complication involving the old floor fitting), the work was completed and our inspection of the job was quite satisfactory. Although the original estimate was increased by the cost of the additional floor fitting work, it was well worth the time and expense in every aspect. David is a genuinely talented professional plumber and it would be impossible to compliment him too greatly on the quality of his work done for us. David's professional competence reflects equally well on Pocket Plumbing, in my opinion, and we have been well-satisfied with that business's excellent work on our behalf. If David's work is any reflection on the overall quality of Charles' Pocket Plumbing, I'd have to say Pocket Plumbing gets a well-deserved 5 star rating without any reservations! I have a regular plumber, but wanted a different brand of water heater than he offered.  Charles listed a good, better, best on his site and I liked the best that was listed.  He came out the next day and checked it out.  Took out the 24 year old water heater and took it away, then brought a new one back from his supplier.  His time estimate took a couple hours more than he expected, but he never changed the price of the install.  He answered all of my questions.

Charles is a rockstar. Very prompt service at competitive rates for snaking a main line. The previous owner had tapped the pipe to snake it by breaking the pipe and placing an abs riser over the hole, which is not legal. Charles notified and showed me it, so I had him fix it. He put in a legitimate clean out with boxes in case of future issues. I would definitely use him again.

I noticed that my dog had been barking at something in our backyard.  When I went out to look, our clean out pipe was backed up and spilling into our backyard.  

I called them in the morning and they were able to get to me within 30 minutes.  He accessed the problem and told me a price. He snaked the pipe three to four times and cleared the roots and baby wipes from the pipes.

Well...more great service from Pocket Plumbing. I was so happy with them the first time, I decided to call them again when my garbage disposal stopped working. I called Charles and he gave me a quick tip and I was able to fix it myself!!! Wonderful company! Keep up the great work!

So far, so Great!  
A quote request was answered quickly and I was lucky there was a cancelation so my problems were addressed right away.  An on-site survey was performed and an agreement on how to proceed was professional, Fair, and easily understandable.
The work performed is fabulous so far, and we scheduled a future project already.
I couldn't be more pleased.  Thank you and I will add to my review once our other project is completed.

Called for service speaking with a real person the  morning after our 22 year old electric water heater began to falter. The Yelp reviews looked good, so I decided to give Pocket Plumbing a go. I figured it was time for a replacement considering the age of the existing unit.
Charles called me back shortly and we set up an appointment that morning. After he arrived and we discussed further, it was decided to replace - not repair. Charles said he would return at 2:00 to remove the old unit. He was here at 2:00 and returned at 3:30 to install the new water heater that has a durable brass drain valve, separate aluminum drip pan and exterior overflow pipe.
All said and done, I was very pleased with Charles' timely service and the quality of the Bradford White
water heater that was installed.
I highly recommend Pocket Plumbing for this type of installation or service.

I have never seen so many Yelp reviews (101 and counting) for a company with so many 5-star ratings .... make it 102 5-star ratings!  
  I thought my toilet problem was caused by the fill valve, but Charles said it was a simple DIY fix - the problem was the flush valve - and the replacement part could be found on aisle 12 at my local Home Depot. (I would've been none the wiser had he agreed with my analysis and charged me for unnece$$ary repairs).  
  I couldn't be more pleased with Charles' customer service, timeliness, honesty, and no charge for the visit.  I also want to give a shout out to Toni (receptionist).  Excellent customer service all around.  
  Thank you Pocket Plumbing - you're my new go-to plumbing company!

Charles is the nicest most honest small business guy I've ever met. He came out to check for a possible leak under my house. Once he came out and I explained what happened we discussed what might be the problem. We went together and looked under the house. He then opened our clean out and the city main line. All of this took him about an hour. We agreed that our fears of a leak were unfounded. He then REFUSED to let me pay him! I told him no way, we agreed I would pay him to go under the house before he even got here. He told me he never went under the house so he wasn't going to take my money. I insisted and handed him cash for our agreed upon rate. He said if the problem happened again to give him a call and he will go under the house. Before he left he said, You've already paid for me to go under there so if you need me to to that just give me a call What a great guy. Came out the same day I called. Did a thorough job of trouble shooting. Charles is my new plumber!

I couldn't have asked for a better customer service from Charles. Charles was able to diagnose my low hot water pressure, in my kitchen and bathroom sinks. Charles showed me how to clean out the faucets. Charles also gave me very helpful recommendations, so this will not occur again. Very reasonably priced, for what he did. I wouldn't hesitate to use Pocket Plumbing in the future.

You do not even have to consider another plumber.  Charles is terrific.  Great.  We live in Carmichael, and our 30-year-old Myson tankless water heater finally died.  As in dead.  And we assumed there was little likelihood that there were even parts available, and we were in a bind trying to figure out what we were going to do.  In this case, it was Yelp to the rescue.

Based on Charles' 5-star reviews, we gave him a call and told him our predicament.  That man came out the same day, gave us a price for a new Navien 240A, but with no basis for comparison, we told him that we would call him back the next day.  The next morning we had one of the highly rated big plumbing companies come out to bid the job and they were way more than Charles.  As in WAY more.  Needless to say, we called Charles right away, he luckily had a cancellation for that afternoon, and he went out and picked up the unit.  Charles showed up at our place early afternoon, and in order to make sure we wound up with hot water that day, he worked until 9:30 at night to get our new unit installed.

Charles did an absolutely great job.  The unit is functioning much better than the old Myson, Charles completely cleaned up the area after he was done, and we could not possibly be happier.  We have already recommended Pocket Plumbing to one of our friends, and we will continue to spread the word.

This man is one of the nicest men you will ever meet.  His temperament is well-suited for dealing with people, and he handled the few unexpected issues that came up with total calm.  More importantly, he is a terrific plumber.  We strongly recommend Charles and his Pocket Plumbing for whatever your plumbing needs.  We only wish we had companies like Pocket Plumbing for all of our household jobs.

Our water main was compromised late in the evening and we were without water.  We had a large 24 hour plumbing company come out (rhymes with toto tooter) and they sent a young guy out who was unable to fix the problem due to not having the equipment.  We had another 24 hour plumbing company out who was prepared to charge (I am not kidding) 10x the amount Pocket Plumbing charged.  Charles with Pocket Plumbing came to our house on short notice after a long day of work.  He took the time to explain what went wrong and he fixed the issue.  We feel so fortunate to have found Pocket Plumbing.  We highly recommend Charles & team!

Charles replaced and moved our sewer line in the backyard to accommodate a pool we are putting in. This was a very large job and he was committed and stayed on the job until the project was completed for several days. His price was more than fair and he will guarantee all his work for one year. I really appreciate having a great plumber now to call. He was referred to me by my mom who had also hired Charles for several projects.

Pocket Plumbing was a pleasure to work with and very professional. Charles was extremely helpful and urgent when we lost hot water due to a 13 year old hot water tank. He gave us many options and we ended up deciding on the tankless. He worked diligently for 8 hours installing and was transparent about his price. Charles has been my go to plumber for years. My last call to him illustrates the reason why. Our plumbing was clogged so I called him. He came over and in a very short time diagnosed that it was actually backing up at the main where it was the cities responsibility. He called 311 got the city on their way out here and wouldn't take anything more than a handshake away for his trouble.

This is a late review but a well deserved one! It was late in the evening  with two kids & my plumbing completely had clogged.  No running toilets, shower was rising; it was terrible.  I was recommended to Charles from Pocket Plumbing. He was under a house when he answered my call and I explained to him my problem.  He came right over after he was done.  
Charles had his working van with his business name on it and ready to do the job.  Throughout the process, he is extremely knowledgeable at his craft and communicates in easy to understand plumbing terms.

He will forever be my first choice and my first recommendation for anyone with plumbing issues.

Awesome plumbing company! I had a minor repair to fix and I talked to Charles and even though he was busy, he had one of the other plumbers, Sean, come over within a day and took care of it and it was cheaper than expected.

Charles is so nice and so professional - I could not recommend him more!! After seeing the amazing Yelp reviews, and talking to my neighbor who hired him to install a new water heater, I gave him a call. I called him on a Saturday because I dropped my nose ring down the sink (I know it sounds silly, but it's actually quite expensive). He was out installing a water heater for someone else and doesn't normally work on Saturdays but said that he could stop buy on his way home, which I thought was very nice. He quoted me a maximum price of $40 when we spoke on the phone. When he arrived at my house it took him all of 5 minutes to get the pipes undone, find my nose ring, clean the hair out of the pipe (talk about above and beyond!!), and put everything back together. To top it all off, he didn't even charge me!!! He said since it was so simple and took such a short amount of time, that he would prefer that I write a review instead! I couldn't believe it. We will definitely be calling him when it's time to replace our water heater!
If you live in the greater Pocket-Greenhaven area, this is the man you need to call!

Charles is a great guy and plumber. He installed a reverse osmosis filter for my kitchen and everything went great. He's an honest guy and skilled. For comparison, I called a few plumbers before finding Charles and many denied the job outright as they didn't have the ability to do what I needed. Charles knew exactly what to do. He's the best. When we found that out hot water heater leaked on Friday, he was at my house tackling the problem first thing Monday morning. He gave me and my wife the straight story on how best to resolve it, giving us all options, patiently answering all questions. He does a clean, no-nonsense job the whole way through.

He will be the first call I make next time I need a plumber. The man not only knows what he's doing, but does can explain it in a way that I can understand, respect and feel comfortable with.

Charles saved the day! Due to the great reviews on Yelp, and the professional customer service and work background, we couldn't deny Charles Services! He was able to unclog and solve our toilet issues within minutes! Going to someone else would have cost us hundreds of dollars. But fortunately, we ended up saving a lot more with Charles! I am finally getting to this review after months of needing help with an in-between wall leak--or so I thought it was.

My call to Pocket Plumbing resulted in a super fast to reply to my quote request. The guy was nice. And when it came time to meet him at my home was punctual. If only his customer service was 1/2 decent, I'd be writing a very different review right now and wouldn't have had to scramble to find someone else to check out my leak.

As I mentioned, he was super fast. I talked to him by phone and agreed on a date/time for him to come check out my leak that was keeping me from using our clothes washer, which was a certifiable T.R.A.G.E.D.Y being that we are family of four in which two members are small children who somehow, someway wreck their clothes everyday!

Anyway, I give him my address and we agreed on a date/time. He then surprises by answering my question about cost by saying it will be FREE. So, he shows up on the agreed date/time and as I exit my home to greet and thank him he says, maaaan we are starting off on the wrong foot. I figure he's kidding and don't really understand why, but smile and ask why? figuring he will say that I'm wearing NINER gear or something like that. No, he goes on tell me he does free estimates for the Pocket and Land Park neighborhoods, neither of which I live in.

Despite his explanation, I figure he's playing with me. I say are you serious right now? And he starts to tell me something about he has his costs or some similar statement. I interrupt and tell him we are done here, good-bye. Not only was I pissed about not having my washer problem looked at, I was pissed I took time off from work, and pissed about the fact that he should have looked at my address, called me and said estimates are not free for Meadowview. And, by the way, Meadowview is closer to the Pocket than Land Park.

So, after that fiasco, and not being willing to wait for another plumber to come take a look, I decided to cut into my drywall and fix the damn thing myself and ended up saving myself some money because it turns out there was no leak in the wall. Instead, I just needed to purchase and replace a washing machine hose! Sliver lining?

Charles changed our leaking bathtub faucet. He also bought faucets which are hard to find as I prefer gold. At the same time, we had him replace the sink faucet, too.  We feel like we have a new bathroom with all the beautiful fixtures.  The parts were expensive but I thought his fee was reasonable. Less than I expected.

Charles Washington of Pocket Plumbing is legit.  He did an exceptional job replacing all of our old galvanized water pipes with vex tubing.  He worked his butt off until late at night, crawling around under our dirty cramped house. He made sure all of our faucets were cleaned of gunk, including the washing machine. Water is now blasting for once. From the research I did, his price was really good, not to say it wasn't pricy, because plumbers are pricy period. I believe most companies would have charged me $6500 or more, he was a lot less than that. Thanks Charles!

Charles came out to my house a few years ago and I loved the plumbing service he provided (see my previous 5 star review). This time around I did not even search for other plumbers, I just knew I wanted to call for his services again. First of all, I am not sure why Yelp is keeping them at a 100% response rate for quotes. I messaged them twice through yelp and there was no response. That didn't deter me from wanting their services so I reached out through their phone number and they were very friendly and set an appointment for me right then and there for an inspection within the week. That is when David came and he was very nice and extremely professional. He gave us a couple different options and he said that either that night or the next day he would send us a couple different estimates to give us some options, but of course he won't know for sure until he comes out to get into our walls and look at the actual pipes. I waited almost a week and decided to call the phone number again and see if there was a reason why we haven't gotten anything. Again, she was very professional and tried to get a hold of him that second but couldn't, and also said that she will try to get a hold of him again and she give us a call back and will let us know either way. It's been another week and still nothing. I know they must be very busy because I'm sure their business is booming. But, I would have appreciated them at least getting back to me and letting me know what is going on, even if it was to say that they would not be able to do the work. Again, I know from personal experience that Charles is great, but I will be finding another plumber because of the lack of communication and lack of customer service.

These guys are utter rockstars, let's call them the PLUMB MASTERS! I recently purchased a new home and contacted Charles' team to come out and estimate the work and fix my house. They came so highly recommended by friends I wasn't going to hire anyone else anyway. David came out and was able to give me an estimate and fix 1/2 the job that day. The remainder came later as it requires a bit more work. I started with a ghetto nightmare of DIY fixes, I finished with up to code, smooth looking plumbing. While no one will see what they fixed, I know it's sexy. And best of all, it was affordable. $865 all in, there were some cheaper fixes but I told David to simply redo it all so I didn't have to do it again.

Charles is THE MOST professional and proficient plumber ever!  Plus he has a wonderful personality!  I had a home warranty that sent me several plumbers who failed to address the issue. Charles did an outstanding job diagnosing and fixing our sink.  Zajic Appliance had installed a new dishwasher in the morning and in the afternoon we noticed no hot water from the kitchen sink.  Zajic came back immediately and said it was due to a broken valve which they had turned on and off to install the dishwasher.  Still, they claimed no culpability or responsibility because it was not directly related to the dishwasher, even though the valve broke during their use of it.  Highly debatable.  
Charles was superb in quickly coming, diagnosing and working to fix the problem.  It was so refreshing to have someone as dedicated, skilled and pleasant as Charles.  5 Stars without a question.

We were charged a lot of money for something that was never fixed properly. Then when we called to have it looked at again, they didn't call us back over the entire Labor Day weekend, and I had to call in again the next Tuesday afternoon, after the long weekend, to have to deal with the front office with a non-apologetic response. Then she said she would talk with the manager and he would get back with us, but I never heard back at all. We ended up having to pay for another plumber who told us the truth about the issue.
Furthermore, we had a very simple job  (took less than 15 minutes total) of getting an earring out of the faucet and was charged the same high fee for a repeat customer visit.
However, the owner did take time to call me back on another issue previously, so it wasn't completely a bad experience overall.

First of all, I am thankful that all of the reviews here are spot on; Second of all, I am SO thankful that we ended up hiring Charles to repipe our 1940s home and replace our tankless heater (even if it did not end up as straightforward as we had hoped through no fault of Charles).  First off, let me begin by saying that Charles' passion is to make sure his clients are well informed.  Although there were a lot of additional items I wanted him to do, he first wanted to know the reason for my request and what outcome I was expecting from it.  He ended up letting me know exactly what items (crossing off half of the requests I had) I would need to get more water pressure and most importantly, consistent hot water to our home.  He is not about selling more services than is needed.  

The repipe and installation of our new tankless ended up taking longer than expected due to the shortcuts the previous contractor ended up taking to remodel our home.  This resulted in a lot more work for Charles and his partner Loc who were at our house for over 12 hours (which should've been no more than 8) but did not stop until we had HOT water running in our home.  Regardless of the extra labor, extra parts, and troubleshooting that was done, Charles did not try and charge me more.

Because of the added complexity to this job due to the prior contractor, Charles has had to return to my home to optimize the settings on the tankless.  He wants to make sure his clients get exactly what they pay for even if it means sacrificing additional time on his end.  In the meantime, I have found my go-to plumber and he has helped me with many other plumbing jobs since (snaking drains, replacing fixtures).

Charles at Pocket Plumbing came out to update the bathroom valves and water lines under the sink cabinets. He was very prompt and professional.  I also asked him install new faucets while he was working; he did so at a very reasonable cost and even spend overtime trying to replace the sink drain with the new mechanism.  (Turns out the old one was so stuck he had a very tough time!) Great work and I will definitely call him again for any job -- big or small.  Doesn't matter if you are in the Pocket area or not, Charles will get the job done!

We called Mr Washington in the evening just to possibly see if he could help. He came to our home immediately to inspect our clogged drain and look for a solution.   With the sun set and totally dark outside we decided to hold off on the job until the following day.  At 9am he came back to my home. I have used Charles since he first started in the Pocket area. His business has certainly grown since and he has hired employees to handle his many calls. Initially, this concerned me, fearing I would not get as good a job as I would with Charles. But for my last two calls Michael performed the work. He redid the gas plumbing for a replaced built-in BBQ grill and today replaced a twenty year old water heater. For both of these jobs Michael displayed great skill, great attitude, great everything in performing the work. And, as has always been the case since Charles started Pocket Plumbing, the costs were reasonable.

Charles is awesome!  Today was the 2nd time we called him for his services. We had a leak under our kitchen sink.  He had it fixed within a few minutes. We will definitely be calling him again should we need him!

Our water heater finally died after living in our home for 16 years and the heater had been old then. We found Pocket Plumbing after searching on Yelp and were very impressed with Charles reviews. If we could give him 10 stars that wouldn't be enough . Charles was easy to get in touch with, came when he said he would, found the problem right away and explained everything in a manner we could understand . His pricing was great, his professionalism is amazing , and he was extremely friendly. It's hard these days to find an honest tradesman that truly wants to provide the best service for his customers along with the best price. It's usually one or the other a cheap price , along with bad work or great work along with the huge price tab. Not Charles though, he gives his customers the best service along with the best price. He takes pride in his business and it shows. He also happens to be a great guy and will be our go to Plumber from now on.

Outstanding service!  Professional, hard working and does the job right.  I called about replacing a water heater at 9 am and it was fully replaced by 2 pm.  Granted, I must have caught them on a good day, but great to have such fast service that is also quality service.  Thank you.

Pocket plumbing  is 5 star. Very honest very professional  does great work . My brother and I called Charles to look at my mothers water lines under the house  for the kitchen and wash room.  We had several other bids but he explained very clearly and honestly the problem and grave us a very reasonable price .  Very impressed  and grateful with his honest hard working very professional work.

Charles is the very definition of customer service. He was able to com the same day I called and fixed my problem quickly, competently and with good cheer. I was especially pleased at his texting of the solution that left me with  all my plumbing working as designed. I will call him whenever I need plumbing help.

The cost was very reasonable. It is always great to deal with someone from your own neighborhood.

Charles saved us in a pinch! We had a main sewer backup that we discovered in the wee hours of the morning. He was very accommodating and understood the sense of urgency (we weren't able to flush at all.) His communication about his arrival time was awesome, we knew help was on the way! He was professiona and courteous, the service was pretty quick, and his pricing was perfect! He will be our go-to plumber going forward!

After being disappointed in the customer service of a big box vendor, I called Charles at Pocket Plumbing for a water heater installation. I am so very happy I did! Charles was amazing in responding to my request, explaining what he would be doing and the cost (completely reasonable pricing!). He did a fantastic job! I have hired him before for a garbage disposal install and was happy then too! Same great service then and now! Will definitely hire for the future when needed. After years of living with slow draining, low water pressure, and clogged toilets. I started searching around for a highly rated and reasonably priced plumbing company. After a lot of research, Pocket plumbing ended up getting my business. They came to my house to give me a free estimate and David was great! He was very professional and friendly guy. (My dog liked him too) He was very thorough and walked me through everything that needed to be done.  My house is older so other issues kept coming up and he would show me and lay out my options. Every time he kept it straight with me on costs and made me aware of what range it could be depending on severity of the fix. I had so many issues that I had to schedule him to come back the following week. I called the office and the lady was very nice and helped me schedule David again. The next week she also called me to let me know David was on his way with my brand new pressure assist toilet, which I highly recommend. They provided great customer service throughout the process and helped me fix all my plumbing issues within a reasonable cost. I dont think I will ever need to call anyone else for my plumbing needs. We called Charles on a Sunday at 12pm and were able to get in touch with him within minutes.  He was so responsive and at our house quickly.  Before we knew it, he fixed our clogged drain, cleaned the mess and was on his way.  He is our new go-to guy!  Thanks Charles.

We just moved into a new home and we thought we had a problem with the shower not getting hot water. We called Pocket Plumbing on a Wednesday and they fit us in the next day. Turns out, nothing was wrong with the shower, but we didn't know how to use the controller properly! How embarrassing! But CW was super nice about it. He showed us how to use the shower properly and didn't charge us for the visit. I will definitely be using his company in the future for actual plumbing problems. He could not have been nicer! Customer service goes a long way.

If I could give these guys six stars I would. They are super organized. Very easy to schedule with. Actually pick up the phone with a real person versus others who never seem to return calls. They were available when I wanted them. DAVID came out he was very friendly and professional and saved us a lot of money by taking the least aggressiveApproach possible, which ended up doing the trick

Charles is AMAZING!!!! Our water heater pressure valve was worn out and we needed someone to come and help because it was running for over 24hours. Called a few plumbers around and they were charging between $250 and $275! I came to yelp and found Mr Fix it and since he wasn't able to help he referenced Charles. I called Charles and he answered on a Saturday night which was immediately a relief after getting answering machines for other handymen/plumbers. I explained the problem and he gave me a quote well under the quote I got from previous guys. I text him my address and he offered to come this morning on Super Bowl Sunday! He called while on his way this morning and told me he was running late,  he didn't realize that I lived over 20miles from his service area. But because he made a commitment to me he is making the drive which is why he was running late. I really appreciated that he didn't cancel on because at this point I know that my job was taking up more of his time during his Sunday than he anticipated. He kept his word, came out did the job quickly and effectively. We ended up paying  a little more than the original quote but I was OK with that because he drove so far and he came out on his day off to this for us. If you're lucky enough to live within his service area I HIGHLY recommend Charles the Plumber! The only down side is we live out of his service area.

Years ago I used some epoxy on a line extension, this resulted in a low flow situation on the hot side of the shower in the master bath, I explained what happened and was given a couple options, we started with the cheapest (which needed doing regardless) and after that didn't work, we moved on to option B.
Option B turned out to be probably a little more difficult and time consuming then he anticipated , but option C, aside from costing more, just wasn't what I wanted for other reasons, so I pressed him. Not only did he keep trying until he got it to work, he stuck with the original quote, no complaining or anything, good attitude throughout (happy to answer questions, and doesn't ~techno-babble~ you to death), smile and a handshake when he was done. The bill was fully explained, and receipts for the parts, and even the offending blockage are given to you before you settle up.
It doesn't end there though, I even received a call back to check on things a hour later, how cool is that?

I'm happy to be the first one to give Pocket Plumbing his first of what I'm sure will be a long list of 5 star ratings.

Pocket Plumbing!

What more can I say, except that we are very pleased with the service that we received from Charles of Pocket Plumbing.  Believe me, we did our research and decided to contract with Charles.  We needed to replace a kitchen sink that was over 30 years old.  We were told by reputable plumbers that it couldn't be done, and also that it would cost a huge fortune if we were to have it done.

Charles from Pocket Plumbing not only replaced our outdated kitchen sink, he also didn't break our bank!  He is an honest and hard working plumber for a small business.  He explained all things in detail and what our problems were and how he would be able to fix our issue.

After he completed our kitchen sink, we contracted with him again to do additional work in our home that also was outdated and needed to be repaired.  

So, if you're looking for a plumber, consider Pocket Plumbing for your services!  We're extremely satisfied with the work and the professionalism! One last note, we knew we would have to exercise our patience, as plumbers in general are of high demand.  It was well worth the wait!

Man if it wasn't for Charles this would be one of the worst days. After replacing the shower cartridge I ran into some trouble to where the whole shower piece would fly off. Let's just say if it wasn't for Charles stopping by on his DAY OFF! The day would have been ruined. Thankful for Charles service!!!

I had a non-emergency plumbing leak that they scheduled a week out, then sent a repair tech out, and got fixed quickly. Options were presented to keep the existing unit or replace with a newer unit but there was no pressure to go for the more costly option.

Yesterday, I had an appointment with Charles and he did not appear. Unbeknownst to me, T-Mobile had a complete disruption in service and I could not reach him and he could not reach me, which led to waiting for him and thinking he had forgotten about me. He could not access my information on his phone, but reached out to me this morning via phone, email and text. That was amazing. Although I already called a different plumber to deal with the problem, I wanted to note this unusual circumstance for which he was not responsible.

This review is well deserved. I cannot say enough good things about Charles Washington, owner of Pocket Plumbing. I contacted him to help me with a complicated bathroom addition and kitchenette add on project and he made an appointment to give an estimate. It was obvious from the beginning he was skilled and knowledgeable and I hired him on the spot after his reasonable and competitive bid. He maintained great communication throughout the project, showed up on time, every time, and stayed late when it was needed, and got the work done in a very timely manner. He showed how much he truly cares about the quality of his work and takes pride in doing the job well and correctly and was not only professional, but a genuine and friendly person. I will hire him again for any future needs and recommend him extremely highly. He took so much pride in his work, and he was just as excited as I was to show him the project after I completed all of the finish work. Thanks for being the reliable professional I needed Charles!! Had a water leak in the kitchen Island and had to gut out the whole island since the water damaged everything.  Found the leak where the PEX pipe connects to the copper fitting on the cold water line.  Called about 6 different plumbing companies but no one could make the time to come out same day.  Pocket Plumbing came and repaired the leak within a couple hours of me calling.  The repair was quickly completed and thankful the start repairing the island in a timely manner.

Pocket Plumbing was great from start to finish. Charles and his whole crew that we dealt with were professional and did quality work.

We had a new sink and garbage disposable put in as well as some bathtub fixtures replaced.

They were very transparent with any additional fixes that you may want to think about taking advantage of at a discounted labor rate while they're there.

We supplied the kitchen sink that was to be put in and upon opening the new sinks box, we all noticed a giant dent in the sink. The crew went out of their way to replace it at the Home Depot about 15minutes away.

It's hard to find quality service these days but Pocket Plumbing hit the mark in every way.

Call them, you won't be disappointed.

Used Pocket Plumbing to replace my water heater. Once again I'm very satisfied with their service. Communication (often a problem with contractors as many of you have probably experienced) was good, the service tech showed up promptly and was responsive to questions, and the quality of work seems to have been solid.
