Drew was friendly, professional, intelligent, and got right to work. Job was completed in under 2 hours and the work appears to be quite clean.
Drew took the time to do a walkthrough of the completed work and even pointed out the important pages of the Wallbox manual and marked the page with the OCR barcode to download the software.

We hired OHMS Electric to install several ceiling fans, add outlets (interior and exterior), hardwire some new Nest smoke detectors, and troubleshoot and correct the previous owner's weird electrical configurations.  What makes OHMS Electric stand out is the flexibility to address issues and the expertise that allows them to pivot and problem-solve while always communicating and explaining what they are doing as the work progresses.  We recommended OHMS to my sister, and they removed lighting and installed new can lights, which came out spectacular.  Drew and his team at OHMS Electric are always friendly, responsive, and professional.  I'm not surprised they have a five-star rating on Yelp!  We found our go-to electrician and will continue to use them for our future electrical needs.  I would highly recommend them to anyone considering a project that needs a licensed electrician.

OHMS Electric was great to work with! I called Drew about a faulty outlet in my home (which was connected to my garbage disposal--everything stopped working), thinking the project might be too small for an electrician to take on. But OHMS was more than up to the task.

Drew scheduled me within a week, arrived on time, and fixed my issue promptly! I especially appreciated how he talked me through every step of the diagnosis; his explanations were  clear & helped clarify some electrical oddities about that outlet I'd never been aware of! Thanks to Yelp, I was able to get in touch with OHMS for a quote to install our Tesla Wall charger. We finally decided to get a Tesla and started looking on Yelp for quotes on wall charger installation, inquired on Amp and gauge of wires they use and fees. OMHS Electric was one of 5 that contacted us right away.

Drew the owner, was easy to communicate with. Communication was all via the Yelp app then all through text due to images given. All easy. No hassle quote. I checked their reviews on Google and as well as their images. They seem to do clean work.  

Decided to do it with them and didn't regret it. Didn't ask if they do it with permit. Felt like we didn't needed it like some people did as they had HOA. Really friendly guys according to my husband. Met Drew briefly and was easy to talk to. Was charged $50 more than his text quote given but it was clean decent work. These guys were fantastic to work with. Called Drew on Saturday and they were able to fit me in on Tuesday. What I really appreciated was that they were very patient in answering all my questions about pricing and what would be the plan for the electrical work they were going to do.

Day of, Drew and Morgan and their team were punctual and got right to work. We had just moved in and our landlord organized the installation of an EV charger. It was a larger job than described, but the team showed zero signs of frustration. Actually, the complete opposite. They jumped into problem solving mode, worked with our landlord on the phone swiftly to ensure we could get the install done the same day. They took zero shortcuts and approached the install in the best possible way to hide as much as the electrical work as possible to maintain the look of the house. They had a proper size team that allowed for it all to happen well before the close of the day. Young crew with the highest level of professionalism. These guys will go far. Keep them in business and work with OHMS. We need more teams like them.

Great group of guys. I sent a request on Yelp for an electrical system analysis after a massive water damage event and Drew did an outstanding job, very professional. I had 2-3 other electricians out to quote the same job and they barely touched the electrical and charged an outrageous site fee but never followed up with a report. Drew followed up with a detailed report and continues to stay in touch as we wait on Insurance. Since that time, I had other issues in the house including some lights that were acting goofy and a project to install a Generator transfer switch and Drew was quick to provide a reasonable quote on Yelp. Can't recommend these guys enough, you'll be in good hands. Also -- Drew usually shows up with his cute pup in his backpack which is pretty dang cool!

Quick response. Honest. They noticed a problem that could be fixed for free by PG&E and told me to call them instead. The work they did do was quick and Drew was very transparent about it. Would not hesitate to call them again.

I was in need of getting the home EV charging station installed. Use Yelp project feature to request quote. Most of the customers like me probably prefer someone who can come asap and at a fair price. Many shops responded to my request right away, starting to ask more info that I already entered, or set up an appointment just to do a walk through. I believe my small project don't need such extensive walk through and can be done by pics or videos. Morgan from OHMS responded later and share some photos and asking some questions. They actually available the same day. Two you g gentlemen show up and start getting to work. Because of the special parts required, both of them pick up the phone and call all over the places to find parts. They end up driving to Oakland and spend extra couple hours to get the part and back to complete the job. They both learn the trade from their family and start working even before graduating from the high school. Now after years of experience, they have their own company and working hard to do the job. I really think young gentlemen like them who work hard and treat customers nice are to be encouraged. I would recommend them to anyone based on my experience and my personal interaction with them.

We needed quite a few outlets and switches replaced, a light installed in the garage, 3 new flush mount ceiling lights installed, 2 cans replaced with LED lights and 2 under the counter lights installed.
Drew and Morgan were able to fit us in within a week. They were good on communicating, came prepared with everything that was needed and completed everything in the initial quoted price and time. We would definitely use them again.

Wonderful wonderful! Where do I start?

Scheduling: Quick& Professional. I called on a Monday and they came on a Tuesday.

Initial Inspection: these guys are truly experts! They asked detailed questions and within 5 minutes they knew what the problem was and gave me solutions. They also took the time to answer my questions which is great because I hate feeling rushed when I'm trying to understand a foreign concept like electrical wiring ! But they were so courteous and detailed.

The Work & Price: Love it! Everything looks great, they didn't leave a mess, and everything was reasonably priced based on my research. Now I can finally run two appliances without wires constantly tripping. I am very pleased and would use again.

Drew had a Quick response and good communication. Arrived during the window he scheduled with me. Very knowledgeable. Drew took the time to explain to me some of the different options to solve some ongoing problems I've been having. Will be trusting him with all my work moving forward.

The WORST contractors I have ever come across. Do NOT work with this company. Not only will you get ripped off in price, you'll end up in a position of filing a police report against them and figuring out how to take them to court. Literally, they're criminals.

I had Drew's brother Morgan come to my house to trouble shoot a power issue. What was a 15 minute job splicing wires ended up running $600. They initially said it would take several hours. That was not the case. Literally a wire nut and that's it. There was a GFCI outlet not working, he took a couple of minutes to look at the switch and realized this was to the outside outlet. Charged me another $100 for this. For turning on a switch. I said if it's just the switch, don't worry about it... and I was told if I don't pay for the outlet replacement, I would be charged a diagnostic fee. To turn on a switch. Pool guy said that I was totally taken advantage of on price. Yeah that I know, but it wasn't the worst part.

In the end the power issue did not solve my problem and I was on the phone FaceTimeing with my pool guy. I did not realize they were still waiting outside of the house, but 15 mins later they made me hang up to phone to go process payment. Fine. They don't take credit cards so I needed to login to my bank from my laptop and set them up as a new contact in Zelle to send money. While I'm doing this, there's a knock at my door. I called these guys back and let them know that I was in the process of doing it, and that this was just delaying us more...  the response was if we don't get payment right away we're shutting your power off. That's where I lost it. These guys really had the nerve to threaten to shut my power off. I told them if that's what your going to do, do it. A minute later the power in the house went off, and I came outside to find that they'd stolen the electric meter. All this, because they had to wait outside for 15 minutes. After they spent an hour on a job that they claimed would take several hours.

I called them back and let them know without internet there is no way I could pay them. The response ? Go to Starbucks. Yeah sorry. Not going to do that. Have another electrician here fixing the issue right now, and the police coming by to take photos and take a report for larceny. I'll also be working with the courts to file a claim as well. Called the owner. So did the police. No response.

Luckily the camera system has a backup battery. Saw what looked like the business owner drive by the house staring at it in a black car a couple of hours after the incident. Probably seeing what other damage could be done.

Definitely do NOT do business with these guys. Was left in a worse off position than anything they fixed. Not at all worth it for a spliced wire and a changed outlet.

Just spoke to Drew About testing faulty outlets here at home after being quoted an exorbitant rate by the other, company. Drew very helpfully recommended that I get a plug tester from Home Depot before proceeding with any service, which is hugely valuable information for people like me who really don't know what they don't know! Thanks Drew you guys earned my trust and great review. Should I ever need service I'll call you first.

I called Ohms Electric to add a new circuit for a garbage disposal and to replace an outdated sub panel for one of my rental units. They gave me good advice and a reasonable quote. Furthermore, I was super happy that they had a slot in their schedule to do the work on a day that was good for my schedule, which I really appreciated.
On the job day, the team arrived on time, got right to work, and knocked out a big job in one day.  I value skill, efficiency, reliability and good communication on a job like this and felt that the Ohms Electric team brought those qualities. I will definitely call them again for future upgrades.

For reference: they replaced a very dated and dangerously installed circuit board in order to prevent further danger and to support my project of adding two large appliances to my miniature kitchen in SF.

They were able to dramatically improve the flow of electricity in my home and add more slots for any future needs. Incredible work. Very quick amount of time. They got back to me within hours and followed up with availability that matched mine. They also worked with me for the time span of a month while we figured out what we wanted to do.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

We used ohms electric to replace our recalled panel. We chose ohms based on there fast response. Morgan and his brother drew are easy to communicate with and are extremely knowledgeable young men. There work stands out. My new panel is very neat and clearly labeled. I will use/recommend ohms electric for all electrical needs.

Excellent service. They installed a Nema 14-50 outlet in my garage for EV charging. The get the job done fast and clean, showed the test result, and explained the future connection with a charging station clearly.

Drew arrived within the time scheduled and did an excellent job installing an outlet for my new KIA EV6.  Explained everything and showed me what he was doing.  He did this for a reasonable price and discussed various alternatives to NOT doing a full upgrade of the electrical service which could cost Thousands.

These guys are great. They came out the day after I called to run a 240V outlet into the kitchen for my new induction stove. I spoke to Morgan the day before and he asked for a facetime walk through and photos of my panel. They came prepared with everything they needed to update my electric panel and install the plug and they finished the job in the same day. I will definitely hire them again when we are ready to have a home backup system installed.

Side Note: Morgan quoted me a price over the phone and that is what I paid when the job was done. They took Apple Pay which made it super easy as well.

Got back to me promptly and I was about to set up an appointment with them when I asked what their rate was.  He replied that for the City their rate is $650!!  Why advertise on Yelp that you serve San Francisco when you charge such an outrageous amount.  I wonder if anyone from SF actually pays this?  I was able to get another reputable company to come out for $200/hour.

I didn't hire or do business with OHMS Electric because their minimum fee is $300 just to come out and diagnose the problem.  So if the work itself was less than $300, they would still charge a minimum of $300.  I have no idea if they are good at what they do or not, but clearly $300 is a bit steep just to provide a diagnosis of the problem.

I hired OHMS to install a Tesla wall charger and repair a dryer outlet that was on the fritz at my house. Within a day of calling them, we had a full quote, confirmed the parts they needed, and they were at my house the next day and done within a couple hours. Because of the way my house is wired, the work required some special parts, and they were able to accommodate and execute without a hitch. The price was extremely fair and competitive, their communication and explanations throughout the job were top notch and the work was the quality I expected and more. For any electrical work or repair, I highly recommend them.

After dealing with issues for over a month with the gfci tripping we decided to contact an electrician. Morgan and Drew were able to figure out the issue and fix it. They were very professional, knowledgeable and very nice guys. Thank you!

Needed troubleshooting on our power outage for only part of the house, they came right out and replaced a circuit breaker. Knowledgeable and  personable technicians. Very recommendable.

Drew and Morgan worked through a list of electrical tasks I'd collected for some time, ranging from running ethernet cable to installing new ceiling light fixtures.  They did the work over a couple of days late September/early October.  They were pleasant to work with and most tasks were completed satisfactorily.  They clearly knew what they were doing and had good suggestions to deal with problem situations.  However I have to give them a mediocre review due to a few flaws.  Little things were that they were a bit sloppy, leaving wire strippings, packaging, etc. lying around in some places and dumping trash into my recycling bin leaving me to sort it out.  They installed a mis-matched switch in a 4-gang switch box.  An outdoor security light was not set properly.  There were some leftover parts in boxes for new fixtures which the instructions indicating they should have been installed.  They failed to install one of the new outdoor light fixtures.  They never provided the promised detailed scope of work invoice I'd asked for when they were done.  When I contacted them about the mis-matched switch and outdoor light fixture, they said they'd order the correct switch and would come out when it arrived.  After several weeks with no word, I texted them and was told they were too busy right now.   After another month I texted again and have received no response.  I finally gave up and either did the work myself or will get someone else.  So shame on me for paying them before doing a more thorough evaluation of their work.  If you hire them, don't make the same mistake.

Very good, very knowledgeable. I had them install an electric car charging socket and they provided a quote to upgrade and move my electric panel and gave me their input on what things I will need to watch out for and what sort of things will cause issues in the future.

Andrew and Morgan replaced 11 recessed lights in my family room. They are professional, efficient, friendly, and respectful. One of the outlets in our business wasn't working properly and I needed someone to come quickly. I found OHMS on Yelp and they were very helpful. When I called to discuss the problem, they took the time to listen to the issues we were having and explain what they thought might be going on. We recently used Ohms Electric to install a Tesla wall connector in our garage. They were very responsive in providing a very reasonable quote and didn't require lots of photos or details to get a quote like some other EV charger installation electricians. They finished the job very quickly and honored the initial quote, and even spent some time chatting with us and answering our questions on what to do if we decide to add more electric loads. The best part was they responded right away when we had a follow-up question days after the installation, and offered to come back if we needed it. We wanted to update our kitchen lighting. Their bid wasn't the lowest, but was good. No visit, only discussion by text. I gave some final conditions for agreeing, which it turns out they hadn't read. Thus, they wanted to charge more. We compromised as I didn't want more hassle, but I was sorry about that lack of responsiveness. The work went fine, otherwise, and they were pleasant, thoughtful, and polite.

Nice guys very responsive.  Young team starting a business and filling a need in the area.  We asked them to come over to review a situation with our  breaker and replace some outdoor lighting and some lights inside.  

Internal cans were replaced except for one in the kitchen... they left the new light sitting on the counter.  We didn't realize that they had not made the change until we where throwing out the light (yep, they left the box and other mess in the kitchen) and noticed it was the new one.

They installed weather hoods over our outdoor electric panels... that work was great.

They did some work to our outdoor lights, they needed to get to the garage attic and we didn't realize that they left the attic entrance open.

Replacement light was accomplished and they did clean the area where they had to install a new switch.   They installed a new motion detector light and switch outside, but there was a bit of a mess left in the work area - wood and metal shavings and some wire pieces.  The cost for the installation of these lights was pretty expensive... we've had work done since that time and we know what they charges for time / materials was very high.

They are young, they did not clean up a number of areas after the repairs and a little in experienced about handling some tougher electrical issues - the individual we had after them fixed a number of issues they were not able to figure out.

They are competent and I believe they would be good for most of the repair work required for most homes... but you may want to make sure they work on the clean up after the job is done.

I had a faulty light switch that had been bugging me for couple months, finally decided to hire an electrician to come fix it and came across this company while researching.

Really professional, efficient and honest. They came and inspected after a PG&E blowout that shorted a bunch of home appliances. Wrote up a report so we could get compensated by PG&E. They discovered old wiring for our hot tub that wasn't to code and later came to fix that. They will be my go to electricians from now on.

We had some pendant lights in our family room that had been rewired a few years ago to accept LED bulbs but they didn't work dependably.  They would intermittently go out which required a ladder to jiggle the bulb which would then function for  awhile.

The Ohms crew was able to find a wiring system that allowed us to keep the glass globes that we liked and are now functioning well.  We are very happy!

I needed an electrician to come out and help me re-wire the breaker box for AC install. I submitted a request through Yelp and Morgan contacted me within 30 minutes, after sharing a picture of the existing breaker box he was able to walk me through what would need to be done, give me a quote and schedule for a couple days later. Him and Drew arrived within the scheduled time, we're friendly, and efficient. I asked them about some other work I was considering and they gave me another quote. The total cost to fix the box was exactly what Morgan initially quoted - NO SURPRISES! Would happily use Morgan and Drew again in the future for electric work. Thanks guys!

Drew and his crew arrived on time and got right to work  running new wire and a dedicated circuit for 7 new smoke/carbon monoxide detectors.  Kept us updated throughout the project and checked with us for personal preference on location and placement of the alarms.  When finished, we asked if they could add an electrical outlet at another location in our home.  They knocked it out, same day!

Great service, professional & friendly workers, and cleaned up after themselves.  I would highly recommend their services to anyone, and will call them again for our future needs.  Top notch company.

I loved their service! They showed up with their masks on  for safety due to COVID. They are so organized and very professional. I noticed that since I talked to them over the phone to make the appointment. They were very punctual and brought their tools with them ready to work. I liked how they explained to me everything in detail so I would know what to expect and that makes you feel very comfortable to ask questions. I loved that they are not rushing and they did a great job. They fixed the outlets and wiring problems to get the kitchen working again and also gave some recommendations. I would definitely call them again and recommend to other people! I give them five stars.

I had a wire come loose in one of my light switches, resulting in a loss of power in just my front room.  I needed the help of a qualified electrician to help troubleshoot the problem.  I contacted the guys at OHMS, and they were happy to help.  We had conflicting schedules, and they were extremely accommodating.  When they arrived, they were professional and vary polite.  They found the problem in no time, and was super happy with the help.  I'm glad the issue was small and I didn't need major repairs.  Thank you guys at OHMS

The outlets in our master bathroom stopped working, the light bulbs in that bathroom started blowing out one by one, THEN we discovered our outside lights didn't work as well all Thanksgiving day!! After trying to get several electricians to come out to our home, to no avail... we found OHMS. Their initial response time was within a reasonable amount of time, we exchanged some text about the issue and pricing and they were able to get me on their schedule the following week. OHMS arrived to the exact minute they promised and had everything up and running within 20 minutes. While here, I asked about another outdoor electrical issue and they promptly gave me a price (that we were ok with) and went to purchase the parts needed and did that job as well! Punctual, knowledgeable, flexible, upfront and good attitudes. You won't be disappointed with this business and I look forward to working with them in the future for my electrical needs. These guys are the real deal!  Even though there are not enough hours in the day we had an appointment that was kept and they came solve the problems we had.  Not only that they wanted to save me money by not going to get material and delaying the job.

Well have been trying to get this company to respond and provide an estimate for a job for 3 weeks.  Every once in a while someone from the company sends out a we can help you feeler, prompting me to provide them more info, essentially wasting my time.  
I gave up.  
Writing this review because I hate it when companies blow off customers.  Customers willing to pay money for essential services dont deserve this.  Hopefully enough people will read this review and stay away, prompting the business to change its business practice, customer service or fold

I called them to install new fan for a bathroom in my second story bathroom that I am updating. The gave me a good quote, and they were able to get my on the schedule quickly. The install was great / done quickly and efficiently and it works flawlessly. Will definitely coming back for electrical needs to updating my house.

Found them on Yelp and out of the multiple businesses that responded, they were the most of front about cost estimation.

After the initial Yelp messages, we switched over to text messages and communications was great. Even when they were running late, they called to let me know instead of letting me assume.

They came in and did the work. Now here is where I rate the work and speed.

Speed was very efficient. No nonsense just hit each spot one at a time.

Work. I tested and visually inspected the work, the work was done really well. Everything worked as it should and looked brand spanking new.

When they are not sure of the ask, they stop and ask me to clarify. This shows a lot of maturity and again, great communications.

They even cleaned up after and took out the trash.

For bonus, they accepted payments via Venmo.

Very satisfied at the work and speed. I would call them again.

Drew is very knowledgeable, professional, and tidy.  I wanted the previous homeowner's spa wires converted into an outlet for a small fountain.  He thoroughly explained what he had to do and why, in a way that made sense.  (I know some things about electricity from my own job experience, so I knew that he is knowledgeable!)  He made sure that everything was working properly before I left, and cleaned up after himself!

Morgan and Drew came to our house and helped set up connections for three fans, one of which was a very tricky installation but they worked together quickly and efficiently to get the job done right.  They were very courteous and professional.

These guys were great.  Knocked out 4 tasks of varrying complexity in very short order.  Were reasonably priced.  Had masks and very respectful.

I needed a 14-50 NEMA outlet install for my new home build. Drew assessed the site, installed the outlet, and even went to a nearby hardware store to get the extra parts I forgot to order. He was awesome and I highly recommend!
