I reached out to Gavin to help with several electrical issues I was having.
In one visit he (1) moved my outdoor motion sensor security light to a new location on a different wall, (2) replaced 5 old bulb-based motion sensor security lights with new LED versions throughout my backyard, (3) and added 2 new indoor light switches for my garage. Not only was he punctual and courteous, he also completed the job perfectly, and charged me less than half of what two other Bay Area electrical companies wanted. Would highly recommend Gavin!!!
Gavin replaced outdoor dimmable lights on the upper and lower deck backyard. It was complicated job with three-way switch, with 3 separate light fixtures. He was meticulous in figuring it out, and super-clean and neat and efficient in getting it done. I highly recommend him.

This review is long overdue but Gavin helped us tremendously in getting our Ring camera floodlights installed and fixing an issue with our outdoor plug not being weatherproof. Gavin did a great job, was communicative and offered to help and even close our garage door when we couldn't be at home for the whole job. I had a faulty switch to a disposal, I wasnt sure which was broken since the switch didnt turn the disposal. Gavin fixed both the switch and installed a new disposal for a GREAT price. He was professional, quick, and thorough. 10/10 would hire again, hes been over before to fix another faulty GFCI outlet. I would go to Gavin for all small / large projects, hes very upfront and knows what hes doing.

Gavin was fantastic! He was able to diagnose and fix the wiring in my garage which prevented me from charging my EV. He was on time, set expectations about pay clearly and transparently up front, and explained to me what was going on and the changes he made.
I will definitely plan on calling him again if I need another electrician!
Gavin has now hung two light fixtures for me and has done a phenomenal job.
They have both been vintage fixtures from overseas and he was very careful and walked me through every step of the process.

Ring Doorbell: Installed a new mechanical doorbell chime, a transformer, and wired everything up.
Ring Floodlight Camera: Displayed his creativity where he had to run an electrical wire from a backend outlet in the garage towards the front of the house. Keep in mind that the garage is all drywall.
Google Nest Power C Wire Connector: Seamless installation of the unit to provide constant power to our Google Nest Thermostat.
Light Switches: Quick installation of our ELV dimmers to get rid of the buzzing noise for our recess lights.

Gavin individually solved an electrical problem for us that 2 other electrical companies could not. He took the time to carefully diagnosis the issue, whereas the other companies just seemed to do a superficial once over before trying to charge us an exorbitant amount for a huge, unnecessary project.
We were having an issue where whenever the garbage disposal or microwave was used, the circuit breaker would trip in one of the bedrooms. We called 2 bigger name companies whose electricians could not figure out what was wrong. Their only solution was to suggest breaking open the walls and installing dedicated lines, but they even admitted that they weren't sure that would solve the problem. It would also have cost thousands of dollars.
Gavin really seemed to want to solve the problem instead of just trying to gouge us out of our money. He took the time to look at different areas of the house and was able to trace the faulty wire to a different bedroom. He fixed the issue and we didn't have to break open any walls.
Very nice guy as well, considerate of our space, and he just genuinely seemed to care about solving the problem.
Gavin fixed our doorbell. After I called he set an appointment time via text and arrived when he said he would. He asked good questions to diagnose the problem. He had spare parts in his truck and finished the work quickly. His price was fair. And he told me how to avoid the problem in the future (don't hold down the doorbell or you will burn out the chime). Five stars, and thank you!

Gavin was very easy to communicate with, straightforward, and finished the job no problem. Highly recommend.
Our place had a socket that started smoking and burned out, along with the power going out of the room. We contacted Gavin after looking up Yelp, sent him a picture, and he was able to find time in his schedule on short notice, since the room is used as an office and we were hoping to have it fixed asap.
He came, fixed promptly, and costs were fairly reasonable. Will definitely call him up if we have future problems!

I was looking for a reliable electrician and looked on Yelp, I'm so glad I trusted the other reviews! I reached out to Gavin to install recess lighting in my kitchen, an outdoor outlet and an indoor outlet.
Gavin was responsive when I first requested a quote and later in the week, came by to examine the areas. He asked a lot of good questions and was very detail oriented. He stated his job scope very clearly.
On the day of the work, he kept me updated on his arrival and came on time. It took him an entire day to do the work and I'm appreciative of the Covid precautions he took. I definitely will reach out to Gavin for future work. I speak English and Mandarin and it was very helpful that Gavin is bilingual. Gavin just replaced the light fixture in my kitchen over the July 4th holiday weekend. I couldn't be more satisfied! Working with him was great. We communicated several times via text about the job, made arrangements for the time for him to come, he came on time, did the job quickly. No fuss at all! I highly recommend Gavin.

We recently moved into an older home that needed outlets to be grounded. The job was not an easy one -- there was a need for holes to be opened in our ceilings and walls and we were given an estimation of the job taking at least a week by another company. Well, we found Gaven who did the job in one long day of hard work. He was professional, direct on what the expectations were, and executed the job perfectly.
Weeks later I had a DIY emergency working with exposed live wires -- he was responsive, and was able to come the same day to fix my issue and educate me on electrical 101. I am now a safer person because of it.

Gavin installed an outlet in our upstairs bathroom. He was quick to respond, professional, and easy to work with. He gave us fair and reasonable hourly price estimates and finished installing the outlet faster than we expected! His work was clean and he did a superb job.
It's also helpful to send him photos and videos of what and where you want something installed, so that he can bring the proper equipment and materials. I highly recommend Gavin for your electrical need!

Highly recommend! Gavin is always prompt, a great communicator, and extremely reliable. We moved into a 100+ year old home that had its original doorbell removed and replaced with a non-functional wireless doorbell.
I reallyyy wanted to add a Nest doorbell which would have required physical wiring. After sharing some photos, Gavin was honest to me about how potentially tricky it could be. He came out anyway, and managed to drop down a new wire and hook everything up (very neatly too)!

Gavin was extremely efficient with fixing multiple electrical issues throughout the house, some more complicated than others. Gavin responded quickly to our need to replace halogen light bulbs in a very high ceiling, and he did excellent work. We would gladly hire him again.

I had a minor emergency recently -- the outlet that my washer and dryer plug into died literally while I was in the middle of doing laundry. I contacted several electricians and went with Gavin in part because of the strong reviews on here and in part because he was one of only a couple who could do the job the same day -- by coming to my house after normal business hours (7 pm) to get it done.

Gavin was the best! He was able to troubleshoot my power cut via text and sending video and help me fix the problem quickly! I thought I drilled through an electric wire and broke my electricity but he was able to point out quickly the issue. He was also super responsive! Would definitely recommend him!

We have just moved into a new house. Couple of days later, the lights in kitchen and garage went out. We were panicking not knowing what to do. We got Gavin's number from one of my friends.
Even before the visit, Gavin he asked the details on the issue and status. He came to my house on Friday night at his extra working hours. Me and my husband are so grateful for him!! Otherwise we would have to survive the darkness and inconvenience of kitchen and garage door not opening during the weekend.

Gavin helped us install a drum light on very short notice. He was prompt, professional, and quick. I will be calling him again for any electrical needs.
We had an urgent situation and the repair need to be done before end of the day. We called Gavin around noon time, told him our situation. He accepted the job and had to go to multiple Home Depot stores in the bay area to get the part he needed. All along, we kept in communication and he ensured us that he would find the part. Due to supply chain problem these days, the part was hard to find but Gavin found it eventually. By the time he found the part and came, it was close to 8:00PM. He made the repair. He is definitely dedicated and reliable. Will use his service again when the need arrives.
Gavin came and installed a 240V outlet with up to 50A for my EV charging block. He did a thorough job and explained the whole process. Everything from the conduit to the outlet were installed very neatly. I will definitely hire him again for other electrical needs.

Gavin was extremely hardworking and went the extra mile. I had a number of things he helped with e.g. installed recessed ceiling LED lights, converted outlets, re-wired coax cables, etc. He was busy with his other jobs but still found time at night to swing by my house to complete my projects in 2 days (initial estimate of 3-4 days). In addition, he spent hours at Home Depot picking out equipment for me, while I was on the phone with him. He cares a lot about doing the job right yet also saving me money. A part of my house was out of power, and Gavin helped me fix it.
He's responsive, on time, courteous, and professional. His charge is also very reasonable. He methodically went through places that could be causing the power outage and found the issue in just a couple of tries. He also communicated very clearly to me in the process what the problem might be, how he's approaching it, and showed me what he did to fix it.

Gavin installed several complicated smart thermostats for our rare radiant ceiling heat today. We had two electricians in our home before Gavin, neither knew how to install the thermostats or perhaps weren't willing to explore the complicated set-up. Gavin spent time before arriving to make sure he understood the job and very clearly communicated what he would need from us to be successful. Had a great experience with Gavin who helped us install a floodlight + camera on the exterior of my parents house. He was very responsive, polite and professional. Hired Gavin to fix a minor electrical issue. I say minor, but another General Contractor was unable to fix the issue. Gavin was proactive and responsive in his communication. He was upfront with expenses and the total cost of the work was exactly what I expected given our initial conversation. He showed up on time and wearing a mask given the pandemic. Gavin just finished a job at a rental for us. We could not get the dome cover off of a kitchen ceiling light and gave him the okay to replace it with a new one as well as put in a dimmer switch.
