I had a wall charger installed. Service was great, price was lower than the others and came with one year warranty.
Can't beat that. 100% recommended
This was a good experience. My search for this revealed that ev charger install companies charge in two ways. One is a flat charge with no extra cost for installing away from your electrical box. The second way is a base fee with an extra charge per foot for chargers installed away from electrical box.
The cost for OC electric was on par with a few other install quotes we got so we went with OC Electric because they had good reviews and the comments of others seemed satisfactory. $395 for a base install and $18 per foot away from the electrical box.
Scheduling was done via chat through yelp and after a phone call conversation. They had availability within the week of calling and were able to accommodate a specific time frame. A two person crew showed up exactly on time. Two young guys who were professional and listened to my specific request about placement. They were quick and did the job to about 99% of my satisfaction. There was one wall clamp on the electrical conduit that could have been a little straighter and the hole they patched that brought the wires through from the electrical box could have been a little smoother. But both of those things are negligible in my experience.
Tips: Have a photo available of your electrical box when looking for quotes.
Pros: Easy to schedule, showed up on time, work was clean and professional. Cost about average.

One of the receivers on the fan died and I've been waiting to get it replaced with the wall switch. At the same time, I also wanted to switch out all the CFL to LED for less energy. This has been one of the home improvement projects that has been lingering on my to-do list forever.
I've reached out for several quotes and I realize this would be a pricey improvement. Ruben responded and offered to come by for a free estimate. After the initial assessment, I found his quote was very reasonable. Ruben was very prompt with providing answers to my additional questions. In the end, I decided to get it done and entrusted the project with Ruben.
His team came earlier than the promised time to start and worked non-stop throughout the whole day. The work was professional and they also did the clean up.
The fan switches had a little slight problem but Ruben and his team came out on the following Monday and got it taken care of within minutes. One of the wall plates was cracked and Ruben had it replaced.
Overall, I am very impressed with the quality of work and promptness of getting it done. I highly recommend them for future electric work.

First, they are Tesla recommended so that's a plus. Also, they will give you the best price for panel upgrade and ev charging port installation. I know it because I called at least 10 companies in OC area. They respond very quickly. They also process and comply with the city permits and requirements. Highly recommend.

They did a great job in helping us replace 8 lighting fixtures including 3 high celing ones! Also very fast in response and reliable!
Can't say more about their outstanding customer service. Ruben was very responsive and clear during the quoting process. He and another employee came out and installed the NEMA 14-50 outlet with the gcfi in less than 1 hour, with zero issues. Ruben also submitted the city permit and scheduled the inspector to come out. On inspection day Ruben took it upon himself to be present, and answered all questions from the inspector. Can't say enough about the outstanding service. I would highly recommend OC Electric to everyone!

Ruben and Ruben came by in the afternoon very clean job knew exactly what they were doing. They had the right breakers to switch out what my existing panel had. They install the Tesla wall charger right where I wanted it to be and gave me advice on what to do for the second car charger in the future which I will be referring back to them. They also had a great price and we're very efficient.
Out of all the EV installers I got quoted from, Ruben from OC Electric gave me the best price. He was also available on short notice. I communicated with him through Yelp messaging and he was very responsive. He answered all my questions as well.
Install day came and he gave me a 2-hour arrival window, but he (Ruben himself and a team member) arrived first thing in the morning. The installation was quick and flawless without any issues. Ruben left the area cleaner than what it was before the install.
I highly recommend OC Electric if you're thinking of getting a wall charger for your EV installed or need some other electrical work.

They quoted a good and fair price to run 1 dedicated 20amp circuit to a room with a 2nd refrigerator. They did the job within a week of giving me the quote. 2 guys came out and did the job within an hour and a half. We are very satisfied with the work that was done and their service. Really great experience with Ruben's team. I needed an ev level 2 nema plug installed. His team came early and gave me a good recommendation. They were fast, reasonable priced and reliable. I was very happy with the service they provided. They took care of everything I needed to get my charger working for my tesla. I would happily recommend them to anyone anytime.
I got several quotes from Yelp. Some has minimum charge of $285, some charge $195 for first hour, another charges $120 for first 30 minutes.
OC Electric is by far the most affordable one. They charge $120 for the first hour. My problem ended up taking one hour and half to diagnosed and fixed which costs me $180. Very fair, will definitely contact them in the future.
Have used them twice now on 2 different NEMA 14-50 installs. The work took about 1-1.5 hours in each instance. One was done last year and has been working great since then. The other one was just installed. Pricing is competitive. Would highly recommend OC Electric.

I posted on yelp an online request for an electrician. Ruben from OC Electric was the first to answer, with price details, work warranty etc... I asked a couple of questions and he was quick to reply in a very polite manner.
He showed up at the appointment on time, was courteous and had his booties on. He checked the outlet and wires in question as well as the electric panel. He didn't find any problem. Thank God.
He cleaned after himself in a very meticulous way.

Great experience with installation of a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging. I got connected with Ruben Jr. through Yelp. He was very responsive and gave a competitive quote. Our house was built in 1975 and our main panel had no more space for new circuit breakers so this was a bit complicated but they installed a subpanel in our garage from which they ran the 14-50 outlet. Ruben Jr. and Ruben Sr. (Father-Son duo) did the work for us and we were very pleased. It's been a couple weeks now and we've had no issues. See photos of a job well done!

OC Electric was great to work with. They came out to install an outlet in our bathroom. They finished the job quickly and cleaned up afterwards.
I also asked them to debug a problem with other outlets in the garage which were giving me problems. They tested things out, found no problem, and didn't try to sell me on work that was not required. I really value honest people and companies, so this was most welcome.

precisely the placement of the lights on the ceiling and marked the area with tape for me to see before any cutting. They wore plastic shoe coverings to protect my home and completely covered my furniture in protective plastic. Their attention to detail and concern for my home helped diminish my anxiety level. Upon completion of the work they cleaned up to a point were you wouldn't know any work was done. They even patched the wall.
The gentlemen did not stop working until the job was completed. It was obvious they were skilled and cared about the quality of their work. Ricardo was the younger individual....a nice young man and the senior fellow just happened to be the owners father...whose first name I don't know.
I intend to have additional recessed lights placed in my dining room and intend to have OCelectric install them. I will be asking for the same two individuals.
What can I say folks.....I not only highly recommend this company but, I truly want them to do additional work in my home. I have found an honest and ethical
company that performs quality work.

I hired OC Electric to install a Tesla EV wall charger. They offered a very competitive price for the type of install I required compared to the other electricians I reached out to. They arrived on time and were very courteous. They explained the installation process and discussed with me the type of materials they would be using. The gentlemen did not stop working until the job was completed. It was obvious they were skilled and cared about the quality of their work. Ricardo was the younger individual....a nice young man and the senior fellow just happened to be the owners father...whose first name I don't know.
I intend to have additional recessed lights placed in my dining room and intend to have OCelectric install them. I will be asking for the same two individuals.
What can I say folks.....I not only highly recommend this company but, I truly want them to do additional work in my home. I have found an honest and ethical
company that performs quality work.

I hired OC Electric to install a Tesla EV wall charger. They offered a very competitive price for the type of install I required compared to the other electricians I reached out to. They arrived on time and were very courteous. They explained the installation process and discussed with me the type of materials they would be using. Ruben and his team quickly installed the charger and were very meticulous in picking up after themselves when they had finished. I would definitely hire them again.
They did a great job installing a 14 50 nema outlet for EV charging. I will definitely use them again for other electrical needs. Highly recommended.

I needed a Tesla wall charger installed and OC Electric was super responsive and had the most competitive pricing. The electrician who did the installation did a great job. A couple of weeks later, I had questions about how fast my car was charging and reached out to OC Electric. They sent the same electrician first thing the very next morning to double check and make sure everything was working properly and that I was getting the best charge possible. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Would definitely use them again.
