I hired Jason to install a line of recessed lights along a hallway. It didn't turn out well. The lights were crooked and the final bill was more than I expecting. We can debate whether the bill was fair, but there is no debate about the lights. A laser alignment tool showed that some of the lights were up to an inch out of line with the others. In the end, I had to pay another electrician to redo the light placement and a drywall contractor to repair the unnecessary holes in the ceiling. This was a rudimentary mistake that you would not expect from a professional.

I tried 5 different electrical company's before finally going with Oak Electric.  Kolie and Christine are hands down the best people and company for all your electrical needs. They were very professional, on time, everytime. They ensured our satisfaction  before, during, and after the job was completed. They went above and beyond at every phase of the job.  I cant say enough good things about this company. We couldn't be happier with the skills and workmanship that they provide. Great service! If you are looking for electrician to install your Tesla Wall Connector here is your man Ja owner of Oak Electric. Jason on very short notice (2 days) squeezed our job in his busy schedule. He was very easy to reach, no needs for leaving message just immediate direct contact. He with his helper come today 1/7/20 at 7AM and within 1 1/2 hr installed Tesla Wall Connector. I was prepared for this installation thinking that this will be difficult job and getting nice clean and not intrusive installation. I sent him pictures with explanation via text messages what I would like to have done. I bought stud finder just in case and have other tools. He did not need all this stuff. He has everything in his van, all tools  and all parts. Jason with his helper knows exactly how this could be done. This required to run wire from an electrical box that was unfortunately installed not in proper place when we originally built the house. Jason easily find out how to run behind the wall wire from electrical box to the place where Tesla Wall Connector was eventually situated. No condescending talks like you often hear from so called experts with years of experience. He run the #6 wire behind the wall and also replaced 50 amps circuits breaker to 60 amps so we could charge our Tesla with 48 amps. He did very clean job and after 1 1/2 hr Tesla had a new feed. Jason is a great communicator, very easy to work with, very professional and doing quality work. I highly recommend him.

Amazing service! Originally hired Oak Electric to sort out the power situation at our warehouse to handle a second 40 foot refrigerated shipping container. The prep work was done a few days prior to the container's arrival before Oak returned the day of delivery to power the reefer unit up. After seeing how they handled the power situation at the warehouse, we then hired them to help power up a commercial grade sauna unit at our house. The Oak Electric team was awesome to work with. Easy to schedule with. Great at communicating throughout the entire process. Very professional. High quality work. I definitely recommend Oak Electric and will be sure to hire them again for any future electrician needs.

We started out spec-ing a 240W electrical outlet in the garage for a new car.  Then the solar guys told us we'd need our main electrical panel moved around a corner and upgraded before they could install.  So we plopped a big job on top of a small one.

Jason took care of everything (permit, installation, inspections) in a very friendly and personable manner.  The timing was a bit loose-y-goose-y but we were the ones who'd trebled the size of the job, so I really can't complain.  It was all done with a minimum of downtime for us.

The city inspector complimented us on how well the job had been done and asked how we'd found Jason since good electricians are scarce these days.  (Our next-door neighbors had recommended Oak Electric, then I'd verified here at Yelp).  

We were charged exactly what he estimated and the whole system has been working beautifully for a month now.

I needed work done at my business and the existing electric was a real mess.  Jason came in and cleaned everything up, updated all of my lighting and made the space functional for my business.  He and his team were always prompt, neat and courteous and their work was top notch.  I would highly recommend Oak Electric to others!

Look no further, Jason is your guy! He was so prompt, professional and kind. I called hoping for a super tight turnaround on both a quote and an installation. He did both within 48 hours including 4 rooms that didn't previously have overhead lighting. He even Face Timed with me while I was at work to be sure I was happy with the placement. I neglected to buy the light bulbs (assumed they came in the chandelier box) and he went out of his way to buy them himself and didn't even charge us. He was super quick to respond on text too. We're very happy working with Jason and his team at Oak Electric.  The house we bought early this year dates from the early 90s and had lots of needs.  Jason has made our lives better by solving  problems.  We now have great lighting in the home office, daughter's bedroom and gym.  He is a can-do guy who comes up with ideas.  We had very different experiences with two local electricians who, for some reason, get good reviews.  The first charged a ton just to show up, talked a mile a minute, and listened to us not at all.  The other was very grumpy and everything was can't do that.  In contrast, a member of Jason's team came over to fix a minor problem with one of the installations and was gracious enough to also take care of a couple of extra things that they had not even worked on.

Called Jason a few weeks ago and he replied immediately. we agreed upon a time for him to come over and address some light switch and bulb issues. He was on time, did the job very quickly and professionally and charged me a very reasonable rate. He was great with my dog too which is a big plus :-) . I will call Oak Electric again as Jason is a super nice guy and did a great job for me.

I contacted Jason for several electrical issues and he called me one morning and said he could come over in about 15 minutes. He came over with several guys and a few of my jobs turned out to be a bit more complicated and it became clear to me that because Jason squeezed me in, he didn't really have enough time to take care of all of my projects, in spite of the fact that I had not indicated that my issues were immediate. He left having handled only 2 issues, but left 2 other issues, half finished. It was clear that they were having trouble figuring out how to fix them, and that they needed to be somewhere else and couldn't give those projects the time they needed.  He told me he would come back, but then I didn't hear back from him. I was really disappointed, because he has good reviews, and maybe had he scheduled me with a regular time slot instead of squeezing me in, I would have gotten full service and he would have had all of my projects completed.

I bought a new washer. After used it for only a few days, I cannot turn it on. My husband checked breaker panel and turn it on and off couple of times but the outlet still does not have electric. I think it is beyond our safety zone to fix it by ourselves, so I searched my nextdoor and found couple of recommendations for Jason. I am so glad we called him. He found the neutral line for washer outlet was lose, seems previous electrician did not tight it up and it can be pull off at the site. That neutral line has burned and it could cause fire if not been fixed! Jason told me that normally he will do diagnostic before he drove to client home to save their money if it may just need to reset breaker panel. I will definitely call him again if I need an  electrician.

Fast response to replace our hard wired smoke detectors that went haywire due to age I believe. Called in AM and there by noon.  Thank you for getting there and a job well done!!

After other electricians had been no-shows or no-callbacks, Jason was a breath of fresh air.

Our home's old Zinsco fuse box had to be replaced. After others has said they couldn't do it, Jason not only accepted the job, he came up with a genius solution by which we didn't have to change anything with the electric company AND he moved the box from outside our front door to inside our garage, which is far better.

We also had him replace a junction box and hang a heavy pendant light in our stairwell.

He was professional, always called back, was friendly and on time. I won't call anybody else when we need another electrical job done.

Jason helped us with a number of electrical issues (outdoor lighting, replacing a broken gfci outlet, fixing a pendant light in our kitchen)  - including some issues that previous electricians said were not fixable.  Jason was prompt for every appointment, resolved every issue and bonus, was very patient with my 14 year old dog sniffing around and sweet with my newborn baby's cries.  I would recommend Oak Electric to anyone, and will certainly be calling upon them for any future electrical needs.

My 84 yr old Mom had been experiencing periodic power outages.  On my initial phone call, Jason was both very polite and informative.  He was one of three that came by to give us a quote and both my Mother and I felt good about Oak Electric.  My line of business is working with Seniors and I truly appreciated that he was quite patient with my Mom (especially a few times when she got to be a bit chatty with him.)  

Jason and Jordan did an awful lot of work - as this house was built way back in 1949.  I rarely take the time to comment on Yelp about services I or my Senior clients have received, however in this instance, after seeing how well they worked together and how it all went off without a hitch, I'm happy to!  They are friendly and professional.  We will be sure to call on them for future electrical needs.

Wow is all I can say! Jason did an amazing job. He installed a new outlet outside for a pool cover, mounted my flat screen TV, ran a bunch of wires inside the walls and then mounted a new outlet for an electric car outside. His price was very reasonable.

We agreed on a price before the install which can be good for price control but can be bad for how long they spend on the job. But he was great... When he showed up he took his time and made sure everything was perfect. When mounting the TV he spent a long time making sure the TV was centered to 1/16 of an inch in all directions. He cleaned everything up and you couldn't tell work had been done.

I could not have been happier with Jason and plan to use him for all of my future electrical needs.

I called Jason for a small, non-urgent job and he was great about keeping in touch with me to find a time to come by and do the repair.  The job was completed quickly and perfectly, and we agreed on a very reasonable price.  Jason is very personable and dedicated to treating his customers and their homes the way he would like to be treated.  I feel really comfortable referring Oak Electric to my friends and will call them again anytime we have electrical issues.

Jason is awesome!  I was having a problem with a dimmer switch not working with some new CFL lights.  He had a small opening in his day and literally came to my home in an hour after calling him since he was working local.  He quickly fixed the problem and troubleshooted a closet light problem that I was having as well.  He is very friendly and I highly recommend him. I will use  him again for sure.

My husband thought he could install a light switch on his own, but instead he just broke it. I found Jason on Yelp and gave him a call. He was easy to reach, able to schedule me in quickly, reliable, showed up on time and fixed the issue in no time. I can't recommend him more highly!

Jason from Oak Electric did an excellent job of overhauling our electrical in our new home in Portola Valley.  Upgraded our electrical panel, distribution box, and updated all the sockets and switches as well as installing roughly 30 canned lights throughout the home along with several other lighting updates.  From the beginning Jason was professional and personable and provided a very competitive quote for all that work and frankly was a joy to work with.  He even handled a few miscellaneous items that i threw his way for no extra charge.  We will be using Oak Electric in the future for our needs and I would recommend you do as well.

Jason is a fast, efficient and most of all, super cool electrician.  He fixed a light fixture in 15 or so minutes while my boss worked right below him.  He even gave us a reasonable price in comparison to another vendor. I definitely recommend Oak Electric!

I spoke with four electricians before choosing to go with Jason at Oak Electric.  We hired Jason to tear out our old electric main panel and install a new upgraded panel to service our house.  We went with Jason for the following reasons:  

- honest and transparent with his costs in the bid
- responsive in both providing an initial estimate and being flexible with his timing to complete the project
- he didn't cut any corners and did a quality job

I would definitely hire him again for any electrical project, big or small.

Jason Sanchez, owner of Oak Electric, spent 2 days at our house working on various electrical issues, including determining a serious issue with our phone line (as in no line to the pole!), installing new phone jacks, outlets, outdoor flood lights and more! He was very professional and friendly and his prices are reasonable. I highly recommend him above the big name companies for superior service, quality of work and ease on the wallet.

Jason is our 'go to' electrician - always responsive, fair pricing - you can trust his evaluation of the problem and how best to resolve the electrical issue - plus, he's a pleasure to deal with!

The bottom line is that I trust him. I know NOTHING about electrical work so having Jason was a serious blessing. I would highly recommend Jason.

Jason seems like a very nice guy.  However, BEWARE his minimum charge is $150.  So, if he offers to come take a look at something understand that the charge is $150.  No matter what, that is his minimum charge.  Unfortunately, He doesn't tell you that in advance so it is quite shocking when he is in your house for 10 minutes and then charges $150.  Be warned that you need to ask upfront what the charge is, because he doesn't tell you.

We lost power to part of our house, and over the course of several days had two different handymen come out to try to find and fix the problem.  No luck.

I found Jason here on Yelp, called him, and he was able to come to the house immediately.  He was extremely knowledgable, worked very quickly and efficiently, and was clean and very pleasant.  His pricing was very straightforward and reasonable.

He found the problem (some faulty wiring inside one of the walls, which had caused that circuit to fail).  He repaired it and we were ready to go.  After days without power, and the previous two people, I was amazed at how quickly Jason had us up and running.

Two huge thumbs up from us!  Jason is a real breath of fresh air.  He is definitely going to the top of our list if and when we need electrical work.

Jason has done a number of small upgrades and electrical projects for the business I work at.  He is quick, thorough, and brings humor and joy to the job.  We have relied on him in a pinch many times for switch wiring gone bad, light fixture replaced, new emergency lighting, rewiring.  I will call him for anything at our home if we need it.

Jason came right on time (first thing in the morning so I could get to work on time) for our set of small jobs and took care of everything quickly and efficiently.  And his charge was reasonable.  I could not recommend him more highly.

Jason and his protege not only did an awesome job (as these many other reviews claim), but stands by his work even under changing circumstances.  After switching over our 240volt to support our switch from an electric to gas dryer, we discovered that our gas meter didn't support the additional BTUs necessary to do so, so switched it back without charging additional.   This along with the many improvements made along the way will make him our first call electrician in the future.

Quite frankly, I didn't know what I needed, but Jason pointed me in the right direction.  So, I have a really old all-in-one microwave/oven and needed help pulling it out, finding out if I have the gas option or not, and if not, do I need to up the amps to get a newer electric model.  Jason helped me pull the unit out, discover there is no gas, assess the balance of running a gas line or getting more dedicated electrical outlets for two units: microwave and oven.  You know, it seems simple, but it's not.  The whole cart before the horse thing...  You can't make a move or purchase until you know what you're dealing with.  So, regardless of what happens, Jason is now my go-to-electrician just based on being helpful, knowledgeable, and honest.  Thanks!

Jason Sanchez has worked at my house 2 times in the past month and I will continue to call him when I need electrical work. He repaired some electrical outlets, cable wire, and a defective circuit breaker assembly.
