He showed up on time (a few minutes early), and was friendly and efficient. He explained what he was doing, offered some maintenance advise to keep my furnace running smoothly, and took 20mins for the whole thing. Very reasonable rates.

I called Maintech to see if they could come and give me an estimate to replace my broken furnace. Ron and Kenton came the next day and looked at what needed to be done. Ron patiently answered all my questions and explained things. He suggested moving my thermostat to a location closer to the furnace and would build a box for the furnace to sit on. This would allow me to remove the filter more easily. I received a quote in two days. It was reasonable for the work that would be done and the cost of the new furnace. Once Ron got the furnace in he called to schedule a date. They showed up right on time. They completed the job in a few hours and cleaned up thoroughly. Ron and Kenton are both very nice and I am very happy with the work they did. I definitely recommend them!

This is the 2nd time I've used Maintech and they deliver every time.  My water heater wouldn't hold a pilot light consistently and Ron determined it was time for a change.  Instead of trying to upsell me something I didn't need (tankless), he offered reliability and practicality.  

They were prompt, professional, and efficient.  They know what they are doing.

Ron is outstanding. I used him for furnace repair: he came early, handled the problem quickly and at very low cost, and did some extra inspection for good measure. He's also very polite and professional. Highly recommended.

Ron and grandson Ken were very professional, very knowledgeable and worked quickly. We have used them for many years always with a great outcome. We would highly recommend them.

Ron and Kenton came out and gave us an estimate on repairing our heater ducts in our attic crawl space and the return ducts under our house.  We accepted the estimate and Ron said he would order the parts he needed and schedule a day that wasn't raining.  This was, of course, during our period of an atmospheric river, one storm after another.  But, they scheduled a visit on Friday,  the very first sunny day, and completed the upper duct work that same day. Kenton came by the following Monday and quickly finished strapping up the return ducts in the below-floor crawl space.

My wife and are so pleased with Ron's and Kenton's quality of work and are so happy to have proper heating again.

Ron and Kenton came out to replace our furnace, and they both were prompt, efficient, and did an amazing job. They also cleaned up everything after doing the installation. We had a couple of extra small things that needed to be done, and they promptly took care of them as well.

Ron is one of the nicest guys I've ever met.  He has come over to work on various plumbing issues several times at my home.  He is very responsive via phone call or text.  He has excellent client communication.  His work has been excellent.  He has also been incredibly fair with price (almost to the point that I feel guilty that he is not charging me more).  I would highly-recommend using Ron; he's an excellent plumber.

Ron is the real deal!

He was the only one of the vendors that I reached out to give me advice first to try before his visit. I tried to get him out several times and because he was sick he could not make the first appointment. While sick, he was very responsive on checking in with him daily until I could get on his busy schedule.

Finally, when I had him come out to visit my house, he prioritize me and even drove out of his way from Pacifica to Oakland to San Mateo early in the morning (during a death in the family - wow)!! We ended up being ghosted by my Tenants and could not get into my house. He still not only gave me very good advice on the furnace but he gave me advice on how to handle my Tenants who locked me out!!! What great above and beyond service.

Now compare this service with CP Mechanical who was hired by my Tenants who said that I need a whole new HVAC system which first needed rodent droppings and asbestos abatement first. That would be $15K!

Turns out his original advise over Yelp would have worked if my Tenants would have let me in to try to change the furnace speed.

Ron's great service saved me $$$$!!

Ron is the real deal.  He is a genuine, honest and professional repairman whom I would send to my mother if she needed any of his services.  He was able to squeeze me into his schedule, kept in contact with me consistently on his arrival time, and did a thorough job at the right price.  Thanks again Ron!

CTP... competent, timely, and personal. Ron arrived right on time, carefully listened to my description of my furnace problem, then went right to the source and fixed it. He tested thoroughly, explained the problem, and then described what I might expect in the future given the age of this furnace.

At my request, he knowledgeably explained the newer technologies that yield greater heat efficiency. His was simply a competent, timely, and nice personal interaction. And at a reasonable price. Thanks Ron.

Would highly recommend this business for any HVAC needs you might have! I haven't had a chance to use their plumbing services yet but I'm sure they're equally as proficient and enjoyable to work with in this arena.

I had recently moved into my new home and was unsure of when the last time my heater had been serviced. As we're going into the cold season, I wanted to make sure everything was spic and span and ready to go so we wouldn't experience any issues at a time when we needed the heater the most. Also, safety is of upmost importance so I wanted to make sure that our heater was up to all compliance standards.

After messaging this business on Yelp, Ron got back to me quickly with some available times he was free to come and take care of my service. On the day of, he showed up with his grandson (I love that this is a family business!) The two of them immediately got to work with checking out my heater and were extremely knowledgeable in what they were doing and looking for. Luckily, it looks like my heater is still relatively new and is a good model and to save me money, Ron let me know that going forward, I really only needed to get it serviced every 2 years instead of every 1. They also found that there were two filters in my heater and I only needed one. Since they didn't have the filter I needed with them, they offered to drive to the nearest Home Depot to purchase one for me. They didn't even think twice about going out of their way to do this, which was a very nice gesture. I ended up just telling them I would purchase one myself on Amazon and they showed me how I could install it (super easy).

On top of the excellent service, they were also good conversationalists. I was very happy that I found Maintech on Yelp!

Great response time and made great recommendation while working on my water heater.  I called multiple companies and this guy was the best price and great to work with.  He didn't over charge me compared to other folks.  I'd use him again for sure!

Our home furnace had developed an alarming rattle and we called Ron at Maintech because we have had excellent and timely service from him in the past several years.  He and Kenton arrived and accomplished the needed repair in less than an hour to have it working perfectly again.  We will continue to call him when we need his expertise and service.

Called Maintech in the morning and they were able to come that afternoon to check my gas heater.  Ron & Kenton were on time, quickly found the problem and did the needed repair.
The price was reasonable and I'm so glad I've found a plumbing and heating service I can rely on.

Ron and his team put in a Bryant furnace for me last month. It was tough getting any good brand furnace the last two years because of the supply shortage. Ron kept me in mind and called me as soon as it was available. I needed a furnace that can serve my size house. He suggested a variable speed furnace over a single stage. The installation process was efficient, clean, and everything is working great. Ron and his team is a savior. Lucky he's in our area.

Heater stopped working overnight which was a chilly suprise in the morning.  After doing some quick searches in the morning, I checked the pilot light and circuit breaker to make sure those were ok. Called Ron and told him about the issue and while he wasn't able to come out for a few days, he offered some advice on what the culprit may be.
After getting off the phone, I tried out his solution and bam, it worked!

I'm so relieved I found Ron as he is now our go-to person for all plumbing/HVAC needs.  He is a genuinely nice, reliable, professional, and honest person who offers very reasonably priced services.  I always support local businesses like Ron's because there's usually little or no wait time and the prices are reasonable.

Ron responded to my HVAC inspection and maintenance request right away.  He showed up on time. He followed safety and health protocols by wearing masks and disposable booties before entering our home.

He troubleshooted and fixed all our HVAC issues.  He did a very thorough inspection of all our HVAC systems and cleaned all inspected areas afterwards.

My wife and I just moved into a new place and wanted our heating vents cleaned before moving in (I highly recommend this).  Ron the owner and his grandson was a great team and did an awesome job!  I watched their work first hand.  Ron also provided advice and consultation on what to look for with our heating and plumbing at no extra charge.  I ended up hiring them again to install a new garage deposal (we didn't have one before, so it required some extra work), and they went above and beyond to get it installed that day (including getting a new switch for us, when mine wasn't working).  Fast, Reliable, Honest, and Quality Service at a Great Value!  I highly recommend them for your heating and plumbing needs!

This was months ago and I am still amazed with the work that was provided. We bought a dishwasher and asked friends if they knew of a good plumber bc apparently you have to pay for installation nowadays. One of my best friends told me what he heard about Ron. I messaged him here and he responded right away and came out the day of with a quote. A few days later, he helped me with my dishwasher and did a fantastic job, a job he didn't really have to do but did it anyway no hesitation. A part of my dishwasher wasn't fitting and he actually did what he had to do to make it fit. Most companies or plumbers would have told me they can't do it and would walk right out the door. Not Ron.
