Used Jim in August 2013. In addition to the requested work, Jim recommended installing a clean out. Excellent suggestion because our call to Jim today was much easier and less costly because of the new clean out!  Jim is very responsive, even early.

Quick, efficient and honest.   Took care of my plubming needs on several occasions for multiple properties.    And when it got to a point where the problem was beyond his scope, he called in another professional for an opinion instead of leaving me stranded.   Much appreciated.

Had a plumbing problem on New Years Day of all days, and not the kind of plumbing problem that you could put off until the next day.  After calling the company I usually work with and being told sorry but I'm watching the games today but can you wait until tomorrow, I called Jim, left a message and he called back and was at my  house fixing the problem within the hour.  I was very satisfied with his work as he got in there and got the job done.  He will now be my go to plumber.  Sorry other plumber, but you lost my business.

Jim was hired to rough in and final the plumbing on our ADU and was efficient and professional allowing us to have options that we would have never thought through until mentioned.  I can highly recommend him and his services

Almost 3 years to the day from my original review, I hired Jim again to do additional work (replace a series of very old wall connections.)  Once again, he did a fantastic job and stands by his work.  There was a minor issue with one connection and he came back immediately to square it away.

If you've found this, stop looking and call Jim now.

I held off writing a review until I had Jim service my plumbing issues a couple of times.  He's been out twice to my duplex in Long Beach: once to install a clean-out and once to clear a mainline stoppage.  

The first job he quoted and did for me  was  in January 2014.  I priced out the clean-out job with several other highly recommended Yelp plumbers and, by far, Jim was the most reasonably priced.  He was also the only one I felt I could trust. A couple of the other plumbers made the job sound like it would be huge, would cost more, and would take a couple of days.  Jim's suggestion seemed reasonable and logical and he didn't make it sound like it would be a huge job.  He completed the installation of the clean-out the following day within a couple of hours.  He was punctual, professional, and friendly.  

The second job he just performed.  The mainline was backing up and sewage was coming out of the clean-out valve as it was designed to do.  I called him to schedule an appt to have him clear the mainline.  He came out the following day. He tried to resolve the issue by doing the work from the outside only since he didn't have access to the inside unit, but after working on it for 15 minutes he decided that it would be best to get access to the unit.  I put him in contact with my tenant who, unfortunately, can be difficult.  There was a misunderstanding between them and Jim kept his cool and remained professional.  He squeezed me in the following day and resolved the issue once again.

Jim picks up his phone when you call him, he responds quickly to text messages, and he took time to explain the issues and solutions.  I completely trust him with my plumbing issues and am so glad I now have a reliable and trustworthy plumber in the area.

Jim is ethical, hardworking, responsible and an overall great plumber.  We call him anytime we need a job done right and I have him programmed in my contacts!

Jim was on time, efficient and priced fairly. He was over to install a water heater and needed also to install a shut-off valve. The whole thing took a little over an hour.

Jim is the absolute best. As a new homeowner, it's scary to deal with all of the random problems that come up, especially plumbing issues. Jim came to deal with a plumbing issue that was very obvious, but not noted in our inspection (it should have been). He presented me with all of the options, and found the best solution for the lowest cost. He has since come back to do a few minor things, as well, and everything has been amazing. He is such a nice person, and I wish that every vendor that I worked with was as great as him.

I've used a few different plumbers over the years. Most I've found on yelp and have been happy with them. However, Jim will be my first review of one. Simply put he did his job fast, efficiently, and well. There is a no-nonsense kind of workmanship quality about him that I really appreciated.

On this particular job - replacing a kitchen and bathroom faucet that I had previously had checked out by another plumber and received a bid for the work. I couldn't afford the first plumber so I sought out a second opinion. Jim's price was half of what the other plumber wanted for labor not to mention the first plumber told me that the bathroom faucet had to be replaced because it was a cheap Home Depot faucet that plumbers do not carry parts for. Well when Jim came by I had the new faucets purchased and ready to go.

This is the good part: Turned out that Jim was able to fix the bathroom leak. He didn't need to replace the bathroom faucet because he had the replacement parts in his truck. What? Of course I was ecstatic about saving $70.00 on not needing the new faucet and to add to this good experience, he charged me less than quoted for labor. He added $3 for the faucet parts. I thought that was more than fair. Needless to say I will be calling Jim first for all of my plumbing needs from now on. Thank you Jim!

I called Jim to fix a backup in my kitchen sink. After several attempts by my Brother in law and sister while visiting from out of town we decided it was best to call Jim, he had completed another job a few years earlier, a main line repair turned out great and the pricing was spot on.
Jim completed my kitchen sink quickly and efficiently even went to buy a part to repair another part of the sink which had been leaking for several years.
Jim is also helpful with recommendations and suggestions, he's prompt honest and priced extremely reasonable, I highly recommend him for all plumbing needs.
Don't waste your time with checking out others, Jim is Bixby's best!

Thanks to a recommendation from a neighbor, we called Jim to install a new garbage disposal and faucet. He was on time, professional, and did a great job! We will definitely call him again to take care of any of our plumbing issues. Glad he is right down the street. He is officially our go-to plumber.

Needed a plumber to install a new Tankless water heater.  Called Jim and left a msg.  He got back right away to tell me he was unavailable due to being out of town.  He didn't want to leave me hanging waiting on a call back.  He listened to my problem and gave me some recommendations which I really appreciated.  Wish I could've used him if his professionalism was any indication of his workmanship.  Would use him in the future based on call alone.

Jim is a great plumber! His prices are good, he is very honest and he is great about recommending what we need and don't. Jim just installed a tankless water heater and explained everything, the pros and cons and what we should expect.

Jim Aldahl was very fast and professional. One of my tenants had a damaged water heater. Jim got there the next day, called me with an estimate and got the job done all in the same day. I priced shopped to make sure i was not being taken advantage of, and his rate was as good as any or better.

Jim is the owner and worker. He is professional, punctual, clean and he charged by the hour and was fast so ended up being a great deal as well.  I paid him $87 for a job that I was getting quotes up to $300 for.   I was comfortable with him in my home and around my animas. I have a 1927 home and have had a lot of plumbers here over the last 5 years since I bought the place.  Jim is the only one I will call back for my future needs.

Jim is professional and punctual.  He's a straight shooter with very reasonable pricing...a honest guy.  There is no job big or small and will see it all through.  He covers most of the Los Angeles area too.

I had a gas leak at my rental property.  Since time was of essence, I first hired another plumber because he was the one who was able to come out right away.  That guy just fixed one issue and had me call the gas company instead of fully troubleshooting.  Well, if it wasn't for Jim, I probably would have gone through multiple tries with the gas company before they turned the gas on for my tenants.

I had Jim come out the next morning and he did it all thoroughly and professionally.  He went through the whole gas system and found the real problem.  He even continued to test and check everything to make absolutely sure we had it solved.  Good thing for that because he found one other issue the other guy didn't even see.  I'm all buttoned up because of Jim.  He's saved me a lot of time, effort, and MONEY.

Jim is an amazing plumber! His prices are very reasonable, is punctual, leaves the work areas very clean and above all he is very honest! He has worked on 2 projects for me and I will definitely hire him back whenever I have need a plumbing project completed.

My kitchen sink was clogged and I don't have a go to plumber. I read reviews on Yelp and thought I'd give Jim a try. He was a local guy with good reviews. I'm glad I did. He was here within the hour and was honest, fast, thorough, and totally reasonable. I now have my go to plumber!

Jim saved the day!!!  We just moved into our new home and this morning I found a pool of backed up sewage water in my office!!!! SICK!  I was frantic trying to find someone to come out ASAP, but was also very skeptical.  Only calling places with good Yelp reviews, Jim was the one who got back to me in a timely manner and was able to book a time with me only a couple hours from my phone call.  He was very professional, personable, and helpful.  He helped to move some boxes out of the way & I noticed he picked up trash that didn't even belong to him.  He didn't try to sell me anything from what was necessary.  I will definitely call him in the future....hopefully only for remodels though.

Called based on stellar review and Jim wasn't professional enough to return a phone call.
