HISTORY

Established in 2001.
Jerry's Plumbing was founded in 2001 by contractor and owner Jerry Marinez. Jerry worked for many years as a CNC machine operator and programmer, he also held jobs as a locksmith and topograhic surveyor in the United States Army. While working in the aerospace industry the work became very unstable due to lost contracts. With the unstable aerospace industry and constantly being layed off Jerry decided to start his own business, he spent many nights in his garage of thinking how he could support his wife and three children. He started Jerrys Plumbing back in 2001, he didn't know how he would do it and what he was in for but took a step of faith and ventured out. I truly believe everything Jerry went through was to prepare him for his own business, his mechanical background and previous occupations have contributed to his success as a master Plumber & HVAC contractor.

I had a leak in my main water feed into the house. It's a 1 PVC pipe. Cracks had opened up. I tried to patch it myself but didn't quite get the job done. In total frustration, I called Jerry's. Miles answered the phone promptly and hearing about the problem offered to meet me at home ASAP. Took off from work and Miles, with Juan as a bonus, were right on time. Very nice couple of guys, who in their work showed they know their stuff. Showed them the problem, which I had envisioned would be a difficult repair, seeing as how I had a patch on the pipe that wasn't holding. We turned off the water and they had the bad section of pipe loose in about a New York minute. They ran back to the shop for parts and put it all back together right quick. And for a reasonable price. I'm glad I called Jerry's.

We recently moved into our dream home, only to find there was a leak coming from under the floors and emerging up onto the surface and seeping through our hardwood. There was definitely a leak residing in our kitchen, under our fridge, in the slab that our house sits on. We immediately started contacting everyone that we knew to call to get things done. Everyone that we called, from home warranty to home insurance, several contractors that we asked to come take a look was not able to give us any resolution other than demolishing parts of our new kitchen that is our focal point to the house. Finally we came across Jerry's Plumbing, scheduled for Miles to come out Friday after my husband and I had gotten off from work to take a look at what can be done. Immediately the magical words came out and he said 'Don't worry about it, it happens and we will take care of you.'

That following Wednesday, Miles came over to take some measurements and began work early next day with a team of professionals that were geared to fix our leak. They repiped the entire house and relocated our main shut off within two days. Before they started work, they prepped the house and when they finished their work, they made sure to clean up and sweep. Our front yard had a straight line that was dug from the meter to the main shut off and it was placed back like it was never even touched. They had to cut holes in our walls, however they were clean and precise so that our patch work was going to be straight forward and easy. There was a final walk through of the house to let us know exactly where and what the piping blueprint was.

We will definitely refer this family ran business to everyone we know that is having any doubts in their plumbing. We couldn't have been more happier about this decision made. As said, they took care of us and we don't have to worry about our plumbing anymore.

Just wanted to take the time to come on here and say Jerry's Plumbing was fantastic. They came down and gave a great price for installing a tankless water heater after my tank unit failed during the week before christmas. They came out the week following my tank failure and we ended up agreeing to move it out to the exterior of my house.

They expedited an installation time following christmas and were out to take care of it. They consulted me all the way through, we found a couple of hiccups with the old water lines being smaller than expected and the gas supply line hookups, which we were able to quickly address! I can't say enough great things about Miles and his teammate who did a great job on getting everything installed quickly and easily.

I had a couple of future hvac questions that they gave me some advice on as well, so I'll be looking to work with them when I'm ready to move forward. The unit is working great, the updated lines/gas supply changes are fanastic and I just can't say enough good things about them. Thank you again guys!!! You did a great job!

Jerry's Plumbing came highly recommended by my physician, and I'm so glad we found them!!

We had some major work done to fix what a contractor did (Cal and Milka Costello, who have worked under several names, R&R roofing, NorCal Construction... 562-712-7144. BEWARE!) Everyone at Jerry's Plumbing was wonderful and professional. They fixed the problem (water leaking thru walls) quickly, even though they had to break into the slab foundation, and professionally. They protected against debris floating around and left the house very clean. The price was reasonable too! Since then, I have only used them and would recommend them to anyone!! They are great people!!

Just wanted to Thank You for sending out both Miles and Juan to unclog and fix our dual bathroom sinks. They did great work and were very efficient & friendly.

Miles is a very honest young man and after seeing that the work was more complicated than the great price he had given me, he still insisted on just charging me that amount even with that higher degree of difficulty. Miles said that they take care of their customers always and not to worry about it. The integrity and good service mean a lot to me since it's very hard to find good and honest service people that will not rip you off. I've been ripped off by other plumbers and AC guys that come out and charge you a lot more than what they originally quoted you.

Jerry you and your wife did a great job raising Miles and also taking Juan under your wing and teaching them both the skills and knowledge of your business. I'm sure that both Miles and Juan will carry on the Legacy of Jerry's plumbing even after you retire.

I had a leak underneath my kitchen sink, which the previous plumber completely failed to account for during his last trip. Had Miles and Juan come over on time as scheduled, very friendly and courteous brother team. They didn't quote me any fee for initial inspection, just started working thoroughly, inspecting every nook and crannies and finally found the source of the leak; incorrectly drilled pipe. Managed to fix it quick, ran the dishwasher, the disposal unit and proceeded to double check their work again to ensure nothing was leaking, which it didn't. Payment was VERY REASONABLE, service was TOP NOTCH and found out it was family owned business with HIGH REPUTATION. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

UPDATE-9/12/2016
My mother found another leak in the same area, so had them call over to see if there was something amiss; came back again super early with the owner Jerry, who was very professional and friendly. They reinspected the work and found another leak, which wasn't visible the first time and switched out the pipe and fitting; NO CHARGE, this is how a business needs to run, with honesty and integrity. I can now say I have a plumber I know that I can trust with ALL of our house plumbing, THANK YOU MILES, JUAN AND JERRY!

Do not call this company! They are extremely overpriced and promise to fix your air conditioner for a price they quote you over the phone and then tell you a completely different story before they even see it. This is the second time I have been duped by them. They came out four months ago for a duct replacement and gave me a quote for $1800.00 when all the other estimates were in the $600.00- $800.00 range. They also complained about my review and sent me a nasty text about this review. Very unprofessional.

Our shower wouldn't shut off completely with a constant drip, they came out this morning. Miles called with an ETA which was spot on. They identified the issue right away and fixed the problem in no time. They were courteous, professional and left the area clean, both were very personable. Jerry went above and beyond to help my Dad's plumbing emergency. I told him, my father who is in his 80's, had an unusual leak when talking a shower. Not sure as to the problem, Jerry sent one his crew to investigate. Turned out, it was only a minor problem and an easy fix. The repair bill was very competitive and showed up at the time promised. What impressed me the most, was their integrity and honesty in helping a senior citizen when in need. These guys are great! We'll keep Jerry on speed dial, should something more urgent arise again.

i just had my AC replaced and it was a tough install due to the tight space that the furnace/coil was in my attic. Jerry's team of Miles and Juan were super professional despite the fact that it must have been 120 degrees or more in that attic. They made sure that they didn't take any short cuts in installing the system and showed me how to use the Nest programmable thermostat. I've had them work on my plumbing issues as well. They're always easy to talk to and friendly, but more importantly, they treat it like they would treat their own house!! I totally trust in these guys!!!

Jerry responded quickly to my inquiries and I was able to schedule an appointment on such short notice. Initially, I was just gonna have our kitchen sink checked (due to clogging/leaking) but his son Miles ended up checking our AC unit as well. They were honest, knowledgeable and professional. Their prices are also fair and decent. They actually didn't end up charging me for the AC inspection, because they said I could use that money towards buying a new one. I didn't feel pressured into using them for future services, but I will definitely call them when I'm ready to replace my AC unit. Juan and Gilbert came and were able to unclog my shower drain that another plumber could not. They even told me what I needed to do to prevent the issue from happening again. Jerry responded to my quote quickly, and his quote is the lowest thus his service was requested. I even trusted him so much that I wrote a check and let my wife hand it to him when I won't be available during the job. The job is fairly easy, replacing the water pressure reducing valve (PRV). After I came back and upon my first glance at the new regulator....gosh...why such an awkward position of the PRV that the adjusting screw of the PRV touching against the wall siding with no room to adjust (reduce the pressure)? Note, it's a double union PRV, thus can be positioned any better way that would not defeat the purpose of it (adjusting). I also did my own water pressure check, reading 80+ psi, which results that I do need to adjust it down a little bit (to below 75). Snapped a picture to Jerry and asked how to adjust it... Jerry responded quickly that the factory setting should be 50 psi and thus no adjustment is needed. I don't know if this logically makes sense to anyone. Apparently, a water pressure check was not done after the installation; the result was not verified and the ability of adjusting is disabled/impaired due to the bad position of installation. To be fair, I don't double Jerry's capability do this easy job, it's just the lack of paying attention to details and the omission of a final check of the results is a warning. If the job leaves something more to be desired, it's sub-standard, which should not be factored in any quotation. Also to be fair, Jerry did offer to come back on the following Monday to adjust the position, I politely declined as I know IF a corrective action was placed in seeking of revision of my review... neither of us will be satisfied.

Anyway, an advise is always be present when someone is rendering the service.. even if it's an easy job.

We were very pleased with their service. All the guys were very polite and hardworking. We had a water heater moved from inside of our house to outside of the house. I absolutely hate it when things break down, especially when my plumbing is backed up. Fortunately with yelp, I was able to quickly find a reliable plumber to hydro-jet my clean-out. They are relatively inexpensive compared to other companies but the reason why I chose them was because of their remarkable yelp reviews, promptness to the job site, availability, and their reputation. I especially liked the frequent text notifications I was receiving from Miles as it updated me on the eta of arrival and provided me a soft invoice copy. I hope to never have this issue with my sewage line again but in the event I do, I will definitely keep their number handy!

Don't make MY mistake.... call Jerry FIRST!

I came home after 11pm to my pool fill valve broken and water overflowing for over a mile! After calling ANOTHER plumber (24 hour emergency) I finally saw him arrive after 2:30am. He informed me that he didn't have the parts to fix it, but that for over $500 he could CAP the valve and send me a quote for him to return and fix it... I knew this price was insane, so I declined the service and was charged $206 just for him arriving (smelling like booze) over 2 hours after I called...

Next morning my wife found Jerry's on yelp and he was quick to say he could help me. Jerry came quickly and FIXED my broken valve for $225 and was friendly and understanding. I WISH I had gone with him first! A job that cost me $431 could have cost me only $225 WITHOUTthe headache and lack of sleep!

Jerry is a good man and I will continue to use his company for any of my plumbing needs and would recommend him to everyone I know!

Mike and Juan were great, arrived early and did a quality job replacing my old water heater. Made sure everything was up to their standards and improved some items around the area they were working to eliminate future issues. Would definitely recommend this company based on the quality job completed. Fast forward, Juan and Mikes completed a repiping job inside of a weeks time, thorough and clean, I would recommend them if you have this need. I'm currently developing a schedule with them for annual main drain maintenance, great catch to have a company you can trust with your plumbing needs.

I don't do many reviews, but let's put it this way.. If you have a plumbing or HVAC problem and you aren't calling Jerry's plumbing its your lost :D
As a local real estate investor, I always use Jerry's Plumbing for all my job's. They are fair in price but more importantly very honest and always does great work. The first time I met up with the crew was because of a slab leak in my house... I called them the next day they came out and then he gave me a price quote on the slab leak at the same time told me that this is just a temp fix and I should really do a Repipe.. I thought they were just like every other plumber trying to upsell me so I said no.. Well, guess what.. 2 months later, another slab leak at another location... This time I opted for the full package Repipe... They did it as fast as they could and left my house super clean.. (as clean as a repipe job can be). A few days after the re-pipe I get a call from the owner Jerry he wanted to come down personally to take a look at the property to make sure everything was done right and no shortcuts were taken... I have used them ever since. They are my go to crew for all my HVAC and Plumbing jobs.

Removing our old garbage disposal was difficult because of a low porcelain sink in a shallow cabinet, but Miles patiently chipped away at it so the sink wouldn't fracture. He successfully cleared a kitchen pipe to the main line and is coming back today to hydroflush it to postpone having to repipe and dig up the kitchen floor.

Highly recommended. Garbage disposal dropped plus there was minor leaking. Miles and Cody came out early from the appointment time, finished in less than an hour. No leaks and a new disposal, clean work and they hauled away the old one. Pleasant crew, doesn't hurt that Miles went to Rowland High School with my daughters. Miles grew up in Rowland Heights. Cody is a Fisherman, so of course we talked fishing. Great young men.

Side note, actually met Miles' dad. Very personable fellow, discussed growing up in Boyle Heights.

Anyways, will be asking them back to deal with other plumbing issues and a possible remodel of the downstairs 3/4 bathroom.

Had to call Miles and his team out again due to some crappy work the previous renters did to this house and they again saved my life! No more leaking pipes destroying my stuff. Everything is up to code and professionally done. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Jerry's Plumbing and HVAC was amazing from the beginning.
Miles came out on time and gave me a free estimate to repipe my house. It was fair and reasonable and their work was top rated. My contractor asked me who repiped because he said it was one of the best repipes he had seen! They were on time, polite, considerate to my floors and bedrooms. They used top rated materials and did things I would not have known to request. They were by far the best plumbers I have had. I highly recommend their services, especially Miles. Hw is fair, honest, on time and extremely knowledgable and competent. Excellent servicce in every way.

I had trouble with my double kitchen sink not draining and leaking at the same time. Found Jerry on Yelp and thought I'd give him a call based on his good reviews, and now I'm writing one myself!
Jerry fixed the problem very thoroughly and promptly. I could tell he's a very honest person and that he wanted to make sure that everything had been taken care of correctly. He doesn't take shortcuts on the job, which I appreciate as someone who has experienced not so great service from other rooting/plumbing businesses before.
I definitely recommend Jerry's Plumbing & HVAC, especially if you like to support local businesses and trustworthy business owners like him!

Great company . They are honest , reliable , respectful , and very knowledgeable . They have serviced my HVAC and today switched out my unit for a more efficient one . My old one was only 36 years old !!! Miles and his crew are great ! I highly recommend this company if you need their services .

I have used Jerry's service repeatedly for both our home and business place from small job to repiping the house. His technician Juan and Cody was just here today on the same day call and I was able to get things fixed within next few hours!!!! Juan and Cody was very respectful and professional. I can't speak enough about Jerry and his crew of how excellent they are with their services and professionalism. I highly recommend them for both residential and commercial job.
