I reached out to the Honest Lee Handyman team to help on a number of projects that had been on my To Do list for a number of months...Just could never seem to find the time (or inclination) to get them done. I needed a ceiling fan removed and a new one installed, a light switch replaced, a bathroom faucet removed and replaced, a screen door handle replaced and a couple of smaller jobs. I was given an estimate before they performed the job and the price was worth it. They came to my house and in 3-4 hours had everything on my list done! They were professional, courteous, cleaned up after the job and hauled away the old items and boxes for the new materials. I can't speak highly enough of the job they did! I'll definitely be reaching out to them if I need any more work done! I highly recommend them!

had a few odd jobs in the house , called a few handy man and their rates were astronomical however handyman lee was reasonable.
He did a good job, my family felt safe with him in the house a big issue this days.
he has great personality , very friendly , good customer service and he is quick to finish work and do it right . This guy is not one of those rip off guys or bad attitude people.

I've had quite a bit of work done with Allen and he's always gone above and beyond. New flooring, lighting, door knobs, plumbing, electrical, major demo work and kitchen counters! His prices are fair and he works hard. I'm a single mom in my first owned home with my 2 daughters. It's a scary endeavor knowing I'm going to have someone in my home with my girls. He's very professional and I trusted him completely. I will absolutely be doing work with him in the future! If your looking for someone he's your guy!

I hired Allen Lee over the summer and have had him back several times for numerous repairs. He performed the following (but not limited to), removing and hanging ceiling fans, removing and hanging bathroom lighting, replaced garage door opener, hung window blinds, enlarged the attic entry, repaired gas line to gas stove, replaced electrical outlet, cleaned out dryer vent, removed electric stair chair lift, and replaced door locks. He was professional, and did very good work. I will definitely be hiring him again.

This review is overdue. I hired Allen Lee to take care of a honey do list of several small jobs. He was on time for both the estimate appointment and the repair and replace appointment. He took care of all the jobs quickly and efficiently and also repaired a light fixture base that broke after the estimate. He is very professional, personable and takes pride in his work!! We recently moved to CA from OR, so are setting up another house, making it suit our needs. Once again I was searching for a good, reliable handyman. Unlike previous times when it was a long search, this time I got lucky the first time! Frank of Honest Lee Handyman put up several blinds and shades for me. It wasn't easy because some of them were complicated with poor instructions, but Frank figured it out and did a great job! He is also very pleasant, which makes working with him a pleasure. I have a growing list of things that need fixing or installing, so I will be calling on Frank for a long time. April, who answers the phone, is very good to deal with. We called Honest Lee Handyman Services after we purchased our home. We were in need of a UL rated 20 minute fire door for the attic and additional items. Within a week, Allen came over and viewed the home. Within another week, he provided a reasonable estimate. A few weeks later, Allen and Frank came over and performed all the work. They are both very friendly and completed all tasks in an efficient manner. Additionally, they performed last minute fixes that we requested the day the work was performed. When completed, Frank and Allen cleaned up their work areas. It was like nobody had been there! All the work was excellent! I'd recommend Honest Lee to anyone in need of handyman services.

Allen is great. He is professional, polite and also organized and does quality work. I had him install and attic ladder and demo out some old overhead storage that I wanted to replace. He did a great job. My only criticism would be he is very busy and you have to be patient as he is generally booked a month out. Worth the wait if you can wait.

10 stars. They installed my new sub flooring under my sink added flooring under the sink and it looks awesome. They installed new wheels for my huge sliding glass doors and now it slides like brand new. Amazing work.

We contacted Allen for a ceiling fan installation and new interior door installation. From the beginning, Allen was very quick to respond and after getting a few quotes, Honest Lee Handyman had the best prices. They also took care of buying the needed materials and didn't charge a crazy amount to do it. That was such an amazing weight off my back. I was stressed about finding the right door and trying to fit it in our car, so I was very grateful that Allen took care of all of that.
As far as the finished product, Allen and Wesley were very punctual and friendly. They also worked very quickly and got everything installed much faster than I expected. We were so happy with the whole experience and we'll definitely be using this company again for other repairs around the house.

I have no doubt they will do the work well and guarantee it, just severely over-priced for local very easy quick work. I called, they asked for pictures and details, said they would call a day or two later with a quote. Ok, no problem. People are busy. Me too.

The man who called back tried to strong-arm me to schedule an appointment *before* he gave me a quote. I had to ask 3 times. I am a straight shooter, not an dumb gal, and know the items I asked for were not at all more than a day's work. Maybe 4-5 hours tops. They wanted over $400 for less than a day's worth of labor.

I'm all about fair pricing, handymen are $40-$80 depending on difficulty level.. but gouging is unacceptable.

Based on our original experience with 'Honest Lee' two years ago - removing an unneeded doorway giving us more needed wall space; when we recently discovered a water leak inside a wall, we did not hesitate to call Mr. Lee to fix this dangerous situation. From start to finish, the work was done in a professional manner. I would not hesitate to recommend this excellent Handyman to anyone with a nagging issue - whether it is an emergency or just an improvement you want to make around your home, you couldn't do any better than Honest Lee!

I reached out to Honest Lee Handy Man to have my dryer vent cleaned out and to have 3 light switches replaced. It turns out that the switches didn't need to be replaced, instead I should have been using dimmable bulbs. There is a $384 minimum for work performed. For people with small jobs (which is what handypeople are for), they will ask what other work you need done to get up to the amount up to the minimum. I didn't like this process. I do most my own work in the home. But for somethings that I am not strong enough to do, that is all I need help with. Sigh*

Great experience with this handyman company. We moved into a new home and needed quick and affordable services for installation of closets (shelf and rod) for several rooms and installation of a new water line from he kitchen sink to the fridge. I hired Honest Lee to install industrial garage shelving and some electrical outlets in my front/back yard. The communication was excellent from start to finish. Frank was the handyman and communicated with me during the entire install day. The racks came out awesome and electrical was ready in time for the Christmas lights season. Amazing crew starting with the company owner. We were very impressed with every step of the process. They replaced all of our ceiling fans and redid one of our electrical outlets to 3 prong. The estimate we got was much higher than we ended up having to pay because one of the steps was not needed after all. It's a double blessing to have a job well done and for a lesser price than was expected. Highly recommend this company.

These people are AMAZING!! I needed a garbage disposal replaced, and I called Honest Lee because of all of his great ratings. John answered my call, and said they have a 2-hour minimum, so he asked me to have a bunch of jobs lined up so that he would not waste my money. He told me it would take 30-60 minutes to replace my broken garbage disposal, and he was right! I ended up getting THREE jobs crossed off my list. John worked SO hard the entire time. They are really busy, and now I know why!! Thank you!!

We contacted several vendors (even fireplace and chimney specialists) to get a wood stove insert removed from our fireplace, and were surprised to find most people weren't even willing to do it. The few that were, gave us really high prices. When Allen came out, he said it would be no problem, and gave me a very reasonable price. He and Frank were able to take it out, without damaging any of the surrounding area or making a big mess, within about 20 minutes. I also had them replace a small wooden gate on the side of our house that was falling apart. Everything was done properly, in a timely fashion, and was very affordable. Plus, Allen and Frank are super nice guys. I will definitely be hiring them again for future projects.

After the big windstorm earlier this year, I noticed my fence was not looking right. It turns out that most of the posts were not set deep enough when it was originally called. Andy came out and his suggestion was exactly what I had in mind for the repairs. He was up front that it would take about six weeks to get to the job (which to me was a good sign). Frank came out yesterday and was great to work with. He was personable and professional. The fence is straight again and with the steel fenceposts will keep it that way for years. I would definitely call Honest Lee for future work.

Look no further, Handyman Lee is your guy! I can't thank these guys enough, I had major gutter issues and I reached out to handyman lee and even though he was booked all month he made arrangements to get Frank out to my place as soon as possible. Within 2 days Frank was on my roof (in the dark) cleaning out my gutters before the next days storm. Handyman Lee cleaned my gutters, trimmed my trees, braced my falling fence, dug out a dying tree and parasitic rose bush changed my hoses, got rid of old debris in my backyard for one very low price. These guys go above and beyond. A special thank you to Frank for spending time teaching me how to take care of my trees and helping me come up with a game plan for next spring. I enjoyed working with them so much, we came up with more projects and ideas for next time.

We have had a couple of small jobs around our house that honestly, were so small that I, as a guy, was embarrassed to ask someone to do. One was to add weather stripping to the bottom of the door that goes from our garage to the side yard and the other was to balance the gate that goes from the backyard so that it would close and latch properly - the latter was definitely above my pay grade - so we found Lee's business on a google search. Lee came out to do the estimate. He was very professional, pleasant and let us know that basically no job was too small for them. He has a partner, Frank, who does much of the work. It took about ten days to fit us in to the schedule. Frank showed up actually five minutes early and did both jobs in less than an hour and supplied his own parts. I thought the price was fair because the parts (weather stripping and various parts for the gate job) were included, plus you are paying for the expertise of someone who can do both these jobs in less than an hour. Frank was super nice. My wife and I had a short conversation with him when he was done. The point is that we were comfortable having both Lee and Frank in our home and actually when Frank left, we were walking around our house trying to figure out what else we could have them do. We are very happy to recommend this business without any reservations and are planning on using them again.

Allen continues to deliver top-notch service. A reoccurring plumbing leak saturated the wallboard to the point of crumbling. This leak has been addressed by at least 5 service providers, 3 of which are prominent businesses in the Sacramento area. Each previous repair (shower door replacement, extra caulking, tile re-grout, etc.) appeared to correct the problem. However, the problem recurred.

After removing sections of wallboard to determine the source of the leak, Allen discovered what others had missed. Fixing that problem required fitting pieces of wallboard, taping, retexturing, replacing baseboards, and painting.

The tasks were expertly accomplished. It is not possible to see where the wallboard pieces were removed and replaced.

The tenant commented, without prompting, that she appreciated Allen keeping her informed as to when he would show up and in his manner of communication. Not all service people are polite and respectful.

I will continue to use Honest Lee Handyman Service s.

Had been searching source for bathroom glass shower door installation. Found a great one and after representative came to my house, it was recommended that the bath tub be caulked prior to doing the glass door installation. The glass company recommended this source as they have used their services many times and highly recommended it. Thus I went on Yelp and requested a quote. Unfortunately a caulking job must be a minimum of $300 charge. I was requested if I had any additional jobs in need of caulking. Oh yes, the kitchen is in definite need of caulking. To make a longer story a little shorter, Frank came to my house today to complete the task. He is a very personable and knowledgeable individual. Even my dog agrees! He did a great job. Both the kitchen and the bathtub look great. Especially the kitchen as there so questionable issues and it worked out exceptionally well. After completing his tasks, I asked him for his opinion about another job that needed addressing. I was not sure how to write up the request. Frank gave his honest opinion and I have since submitted another request for quote. Hopefully I will have another opportunity to write another outstanding review.b Great experience. Thank you!!!

We had our estimate and work completed by Honest Lee Handyman, on time and professionally completed! We had 4 can lights installed, 4ft Fluorescent lights replace by LED lights, replace a ceiling fan/light, and replace a chandelier, (also Allen's professional recommended fixes!), all within Allen Lee's estimated time! The estimate work projects were individually listed with cost breakdown, and everything went like clockwork! Allen Lee was promptly on time, very courteous, very knowledgeable, and very professional!! We were totally happy with the work performed and cleanup, and we would highly recommend Honest Lee Handyman! Honest Lee fits Allen Lee very well!!

I found Allen on Yelp for urgent same day repair of smoke detector alarm going off intermittently. He was able to get it fixed same day within hours though he was fully booked he fit us in. Found the faulty detector and replaced all three in the condo Incase another one was faulty. We have other jobs lined up now and glad we found him.

THEY are over prices for senior price of repair or installation. THEY are pushy too as to get the job that you cannot do they are not worth getting in to your home as they will not leave as wants more work when they are there. I had a hard time with this company as they wanted more money to hang up a light that was already half done. I had to pay more than I had budgeted for the job that I could have done for half of that they wanted while in my home

I have used them twice for odd jobs around my home. The second time they came was because my retractable faucet came completely out. They came and he put the faucet back together but told me he can't guarantee how long it'll hold and recommended I get it replaced. He left without charging me a dime to come out and look at it. He gave me and estimate to fix it along with a few other items. I scheduled an appointment and they came in did the work and as always I'm satisfied. I highly recommend them. I hardly ever give any company five stars but if I could I'd give them twenty.

I wanted to start by thanking Allen and Frank for coming by to help us rebuilt the fence-line in front of our new home. The old fence was dry rotted and just about to blow away in the wind. These two gentlemen were very kind. Customer services was beyond what you would expect from people provider services now a days. Felt almost like my neighbor came over in time of need to help with our failing fence (then have a bbq to celebrate afterwards). I have a few other projects I'll need a hand with and will be calling these guys back. Fair on pricing and good communication. Very cool!!

What can I say, it only took us five years to find somebody that we can actually trust, that was on time, reasonable, spoke English, and not a threat to our personal security here. He is awesome, not only did he do the TV mounting for half the price, he also did another plumbing job that the plumber the next day was going to do. And I saved $50 on that plumbing job. Might I add that he also helped me clean up and took the old TVs & junk out. Then I sent him to my dad, he did my dad's gutters for a real reasonable price and my dad was very impressed. This guy is top notch and very professional, you won't go wrong with him. Thank you Allen!!!

We are very pleased with installations of two new low flow toilets by Frank. He arrived on time, helped me correct the parts I had acquired (I had mistakenly gotten a valve for copper pipe rather than iron), worked neatly and cleaning. The finished work was excellent. He took away the old toilets and all the packaging materials from the new units, leaving everything as clean or cleaner than he found it.

The price was right and the work was great. We will definitely use these guys again.

I'm just going to get to the point. The response time wasn't too great. I know handy man services are always quit busy, so I understood. I first talked to someone and they said I would have a technician in about 2 weeks time. A week before this appointment I called to confirm and they had no idea who I was and nothing was on file. The associate was very nice and said she would try to figure it out and communicate with other associates, and would contact me when she knew something. I never was contacted. Then, I got a TEXT MESSAGE saying they would not be able to help me.

Excellent, professional service, and I got a number of jobs needed done beautifully, completely, and in record time.

I was impressed as not only are they capable and competent, courteous and friendly, they were able to troubleshoot a couple of things with thoughtful analysis of the problem. They also gave me good advice on everything.

The repairs varied from fixing a doorbell to caulking windows, and a couple of plumbing items, all done expeditiously and without issues.
If they needed something more to complete the work they just ran out and got it.

I couldn't be more pleased, highly recommend them, and will readily use them again.

I have tried HONEST LEE Handyman service based upon seeing all ten reviews on YELP! I was disappointed when he indicted that he was busy but would schedule me for service in August. He wanted make sure before scheduling his appointment that it was not an emergency. I told Allen it was some detail repairs that my wife and I need done before selling our home. Allen work was detailed and very good at what he does. His estimate really blew me away when I received his statement! For that reason I told Lee I was going to Give him the highest rating on YELP. Plus I was going to provide him with a special cash bonus for being so Honest and he was worth every dollar he requested! Since this original review, I have used his service several times and have always been pleased with his work.

This was our second job that we hired Honest Lee Handyman services for, and Frank came again to install a new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal for us. He was able to do the work quickly and cleaned up like he was never even there. He even re-caulked our sink so that it now looks almost new. Great work again!

I highly recommend Honest lee Handyman Services. Allen was professional, gave us an accurate estimate, and performed excellent work. The job he did involved plumbing and carpentry and he did a beautiful job. He responded quickly and kept us informed through the entire process. He also stuck to his estimate even though he ended up having to make a trip to home Depot to purchase a replacement part. We originally were going to attempt the plumbing job ourselves and realized it was out of our scope of knowledge. We told Allen we had the parts not realizing one of the parts was incorrect. He not only had to go get the part but he paid for the part and didn't charge us for his time. I will definitely call Allen again next time we need any handyman work done.

Work took a long time to complete. Quality was so/so not horrible but overpriced and not all of The work I needed done was able to be accomplished. I used this company when I was moving in for several jobs. Most were okay (hence the two stars), the last caused me to call PG&E because I thought I had a gas leak. I decided to give them another try for different job that came up, and the lady answering the phone rudely said it would be 6 months before I could even schedule an appointment. No loyalty to previous customers, or even kindness on the phone if they were really that busy. Now they seem to have availability and I am constantly spammed to get work done and positive write reviews for them. Reviews done. Do yourselves a favor, find another handyman!

We purchased a new in the wall oven and countertop microwave. The installation was to much for me so I called Allen at Honest Lee handyman for his help and expertise installing this combo. I couldn't be anymore pleased with the entire process. This job turned into a bit more than I expected when we discovered the height of the microwave with a trim kit was not tall enough to fill in the hole left by removing the old combination unit. It was all so very simple to Allen and his employee to use the trim kit stand bolted together to form a taller stand and the results were a perfect fit. Part of our fence blew down in the storm last night. We called Honest Lee Handyman and within a half hour Frank was in our backyard fixing our fence. He was able to get it temporarily secured and will be getting us a quote to install new steel post. We have 3 dogs and our neighbor's have 2 dogs, needless to say a secure fence is REALLY important to us. Only note: if you want to keep anything that comes in boxes that they put together, let them know in advance or it will get tossed. I like to keep all extra parts and instruction manuals. I've used Honest Lee Handyman Service several times and have been very happy with the work done. Everyone I've talked to has been professional and kind, and they're good about following up with you if you leave a message. Frank has been my Technician each time and he is super knowlegeable and helpful. He goes above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly, and he was kind enough to help me with something right on the spot (tightening my shower rod so it would stay up). It only took him a moment but it was something I'd been struggling with and I appreciated it so much. I've had them install a dishwasher, garbage disposal, kitchen sink and faucet, replace old pipes under the kitchen sink, put in a new GFI outlet, put up outdoor lights around the patio, and at my next appointment they will clean my gutters and install a Ring doorbell. I have more on my to-do list and will definitely be using Honest Lee Handyman Service. Be prepared to pay a good amount for their services, but I like supporting a small local business and the service they've provided is worth the money I've paid.

During the Covid era, I'd called Honest Lee about assembling a Costco gazebo & switching a ceiling fan.
I'd ordered the gazebo online and MANY reviews said the assembly would take two people between 6-8 hours to assemble. The website had the manual. When I explained the job need, they asked for the link so they could give an appropriate bid.
Customer service was great: effective communication with a quick response. The bid was emailed and I approved via email. They had forms of payment in the email as well.
Both gentlemen texted when they were a few minutes and they arrived on time. They showed all Covid safety choices. Gazebo assembly was fantastic. It's very sturdy. They asked where I'd like it. They cared for the details to ensure it was parallel to the platers nearby. I appreciate the meticulous workmanship.
We had a couple of quicker tasks with a switching out a ceiling fan & partnering the switches correctly. These tasks were completely properly and communication about what I wanted was double checked before completing. I was super happy that they asked about the fan speed before the ladder was put away.
All tasks were completed with an eye for detail. I'm super happy with their service and the completed tasks. I'll be calling them again for handyman needs. I have recommended their services to others, so I'd suggest you also call them for your handymen needs.

I've had a non-working bathroom fan since we moved in to our house. I replaced the fan myself but had challenges getting it to run. Turns out there was a busted wire in the attic.

Honest Lee had availability and came out the same day. He spotted the issue quickly. Had the right parts on his truck to repair the issue in real time. They did a great job with project clean up, and Alan was very friendly and professional! Five stars!

And I now have a working bathroom fan (and a happy wife).
