I recommend Heros Plumbing Service without reservation! They have helped us a couple of times in the past -- always courteous, friendly and competent, as well as sometimes going out of their way to make me a happy customer. I must admit that in spite of our good experiences, all the sour reviews here gave me pause. But again today Hero's came through with flying colors! They came out this morning to see what they could do about a little water I noticed dripping down the outside of our hot water heater flue during the recent rains. Their office called ahead of time to let me know they were on their way. The gal on the phone was very nice, and they arrived soon afterward. They were clean, on time, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and they quickly determined the problem. Even though our problem was not covered under our AHS home warranty because it involved the flue above roof, they fixed it AS A COURTESY for no extra charge. Really!! Who does that? Granted, it was a super quick fix, applying vent tape around the roof jack, but they absolutely didn't have to do that. It involved climbing up a ladder and spending a little time and material, plus they gave me digital pictures of the roof jack that I can show a roofer should this fix fail. They could have just told me I needed to call a roofer, which AHS does not cover, and that might cost me plenty. I also asked for an estimate to replace our 15-year-old water heater. He absolutely did not try to sell me, but provided me a courteous estimate together with a very helpful fact sheet of what is required to do the job up to code. (To the complaining reviewers: OF COURSE they have to comply with the building code -- it's the law, and they won't be in business long if they don't -- as well as comply with the provisions of your AHS coverage if you have it! The building code is there to PROTECT YOU, so don't grump about it; if you don't like the terms of your home warranty coverage, take that up with the warranty company. And yes, if you can do it cheaper yourself, fine, but then you'll be the one with the sore back and knees, the dirty hands, and no one to call on when the repair fails. Also remember, their time and knowledge is what they sell, so they can't just stand around waiting on you while their valuable time flies by. Courtesy goes both ways!) I join the other reviewer: Thanks Hero's.
