update on my previous review from a few days ago...
NEGATIVE STARS..
HERO TO ZERO REAL QUICK
turns out their techs are just as rude and unprofessional as Lisa, who dispatches them.

we had issues with how they were going to fix the leak (that they caused) so while we were on the phone with our home warranty, the techs decided to up and leave!..

i definitely do not recommend this company what so ever.
they caused damage to our toilet, denied causing the damage and then will not take responsibility to fix what they broke..

unless you want to deal with an unprofessional team from dispatch to technicians,
call someone else..

BY FAR the worst customer service I have ever dealt with..
Its pretty disgusting how people do business.

Thank you Hero's!! Professional and knowledgeable! If you look at the reviews I think you will see that the bad ones all had to do with home warranty repairs. This is more likely a problem with the warranty company and policy and not Hero's. I've dealt with them on several occasions and have had all positive results. Yes, I'm working through a home warranty policy too! I'm just so happy that they will take these jobs for me as they have to travel one and a half hours just to get to my remote location. I've found them to be very good at diagnosing the problem and fixing it quickly. I definitely recommend them.

Absolutely horrible service through Heros Plumbing and home warranty AHS. Plumber sent through Heros plumbing was not knowledgeable about pipe leaks and didn't look like he wanted to do anything or look into the leak.  I had to coerce him about where to look and what to do because Ive had several pipe leaks before. Plumber JR was so reluctant to do anything and finally said that I should get a second opinion and he left.  I asked him to speak with his manager and he said he/she was out of town.  Left a message at the business and they called me back only to say that she (assuming the manager) said she could not address my issue at the time because her husband has cancer.  Well, sorry about the cancer, but you have a business and customers who also have loved ones who need a service that you say you can supply.  Collecting money from AHS for a service not rendered is theft in my opinion.  Manager basically hung up on me. Not professional and I highly do not recommend.

This business fixed my plumbing concerns efficiently and did an excellent job. The technician, Brent, was especially kind and helped me understand what was required and why. He listened and explained how the problems affected the faucet and toilet operations. I recommend Hero's Plumbing and especially their technician; Brent. I will ask for him again in the future.

This is the worst company to mankind! AMERICAN home shield sent these guys out months ago and they obiousoy didn't fix the problem. I made a new request for repair and they sent out some individual with tattoos all over hiS face and head that were gang affiliated, I have a huge leak undernwath my sink that has traveled all the way to my closet and created mold that's been happening for months before the sink even broke (of which we do not use) since it's only two of us and that's the guest bathroom that no one uses. I immediately called the home warranty and told themI'm not accepting  thiis mans diagnosis, but I'm no expert but I know that the faucet wasn't the only issue and that they neeeded to send someone else to fix the huge issue in my home. The man becomes really irritated irritated when  he heard me speaking to the home warranty and I really believed he was going to cause me harm. He calls someone else over and they just leave. I keep complaining to the home warranty and they say that the worker said I i cussed him out and argued with him, which absolutely DID NOT HAPPEN. I call today to ask if it's typical for tHeir employers  to lie on reports and this chick MARY answers and tells me it's not a lie and that I did cuss and create an argument, as if she was there. She was totally rude and had no type of customer service. I will be filing a complaint with the better busiNess bureau and STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!

Very impressed with the service.  Brent fixed the bathroom leaks which I had originally requested through AHS.  I had asked about my patio faucet that was leaking (which I knew would not be covered under AHS) and he got an estimate right away for me and had it fixed in no time.  Fast friendly service!!  Great job~

Home warranty company sent them out twice for 2 different problems, neither one of which was covered by the warranty. I told them the exact same thing when they got here as I told them on the phone. They could have told me then that it wasn't covered. It's pretty bad when the supervisor (or owner or whoever he was) went outside and his worker told me not to have him do any work for me because he way overcharges. Both times he quoted me $1000. Seems to be his magic price. First issue, someone else fixed it for $100. Second issue, someone else fixed for $175.

I had a leaking problem, so, I had to shut off the water to my house. The dispatcher said they couldn't come out the next day, but the following day. They ended up coming out the next day because of cancellations. The technician, Brandon, helped me find my problem and made sure that I didn't have to be charged more than necessary. I was very pleased with this company and am grateful for the timely service.

I had a major leak in the kitchen roof. I informed my Home Shield and first thing this morning the Plumbers office called. Mary was so pleasant and made appointment for me right away and she even called me before a Tech came to the house. About 15 mins later Mario came and he was just as pleasant and fixed the leak and poor Guy I have 10 feet ceiling and not to much room in attic but he took care of the problem and it was fixed right away! GREAT SERVICE thank you so much! I will recommend them to everyone. Thank you for understanding I have 4 kids and with no water and your roof leaking it is so overwhelming and I was worried sense I never used the Home insurance but it was easy like I said and the problem got fixed in a perfect timing. Thank you again and again!

Wish I could give it a minus 100. Worse experience with a contractor ever. Either the technician that was sent out didn't have a clue, was very lazy or unethical. Non the less they left us without running water and didn't care. The technician was here for less that 5 minutes on a emergency call out and wrote a extreme false truth. There was water damage over a period of time....I'm sure he didn't see that because he never looked. We plan reporting to the state, BBB, city and more for the way my minor son was bullied into signing a form.  I have never been so shocked in a handling of a situation you a company.

We have probably used Hero's plumbing at least six times in the past. They show up on time and have always been friendly and efficient and do excellent work. George their employee is great. He diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed it and was on  his way. I highly trust and recommend this plumber. We used American Home Shield  on our warranty for  the service in the past. Thanks Hero's.

Didn't wear masks. Otherwise ok I guess. As expected service, nothing exceptional or different than other services, but the lack of consideration entering someone's home and not even covering up their coughs (and coughing into the air or hands then touching everything) is a pretty gross thing to see. Lysol-ed everything as soon as they left, including door knobs and everything they touched. Not sure if I'd open my doors to them again because it was super gross.

They were also pretty rude when asking for things like a towel and cursed the entire time they were fixing the plumbing. If you're so annoyed by your job, change jobs ‍

Hero's is what our home warranty recommended and they are the worst.

1) we had to shut our water off and couldn't get them to come out for a couple days so we had to go to a hotel.

2) I would not recommend them. We filed a claim for home warranty, they came out a found a leak. He repaired that leak but reported that it's possible there was another leak because of how saturated the insulation was up there and to call back if it leaks when the water comes back on. Side note: I feel like the plumber should I turned The water back on and check for himself but he didn't. So anyways,
Sure enough, we turned the water back on later in the evening (we came back from our hotel) and there was another leak. We had to shut the water off and go back to our hotel. We called them the next day and said the leak was still there. They came back out (again after waiting several days) and found the other leak. Then the guy proceeds to say that he will not fix the leak because it's a separate leak. I tried to explain to him that this is the same service  call from the home warranty because he didn't fix it right the first time. Also try to explain to him he was the one that said there was potentially another leak but couldn't find it. And all he could say was to file another claim or to submit work to dispute his findings. The worker did say he would call his boss and ask and apparently The Boss was the one that refused him to fix the leak.

3) also, every single time I called the office and spoke to one lady or maybe there's a couple different ladies not quite sure but every single time they were completely rude. I was trying to ask questions and she disregarded my questions. The only thing nice they did was give me a 15 minute call to let me know the plumber was on the way.

TERRIBLE and I do not recommend.

I'd give zero stars if I could. Home warranty sent these guys out and they wouldnt even look at our leaky pipe until WE went under the house and made sure it was completely dry and tarped under there. Well it's not going to be completely dry because WE HAVE A LEAKY PIPE. They then went out to tell us we have stagnant water and to contact another company to clean it out. That company came out and said they dont know why they would say that and that there's nothing wrong with the water. Just that it was a little moist from the leaky pipe. Currently trying to request a company who doesnt expect us to do all of the work for them.

Very disrespectful company, from dispatch to front door being beat on like an animal !!! Dispatch was rude, had trouble getting appointment because I was working. Finally I asked for Saturday and she put me on hold, then agreed. I asked to give her garbage disposal size and model so we didn't have any issues, I had to travel home to meet them. She said no, were fully stocked for those. Wrong !! Plumber shows up, beats on door loudly and starts ringing door bell. Within 3 minutes he's done because he doesn't have right size. He was rude and I had to ask him to leave. They are very unprofessional and do NOT have any customer service skills. I will be writing a letter to Home Shield, it's the only way you can complain, it's a pain, but it needs to be done.

So I was totally worried about this call through my warranty service AHS. You really don't have options, it's not like pick company a, b, or c. It's you get who you get. After reading reviews I knew that I needed to form my own opinion.

Mario showed up and was very friendly, quick, and honest. I did have an issue and had to talk to the owner George who isn't the friendliest but I get he's busy and being nicey nice isn't a priority.

Best advice from them, just make sure you're clear on what you need done and make sure there aren't any discrepancies or missed items when you place the request through the warranty company.

Best advice to them is that not all customers are jerks or understand the process, please be a little patient with us laywomen and I guess some laymen.

Mario was really knowledgeable and had very organized tools, which is usually not the case for most technicians. Made me feel like he had pride for himself and his work. I am waiting for parts for some of the stuff and the other issue was fixed quickly. After this experience, I'd choose and trust Mario at Heros Plumbing even if it wasn't a forced option. He wasn't sketchy or lazy and I feel safe enough to leave someone else home when he returns to finish... which is a lot for me because I am usually the one that needs to approve work or is usually a hard person to please.

Worst experience ever!  Our home warranty sent them out a month ago for clogged plumbing. The tech has been out twice and still hasn't even opened the clean out or snaked the lines. He spent half an hour scraping calcium deposits off of our toilet. What does that have to do with sewage backing up into the tubs?!?!  Incompetent & useless plumbers. Also the customer service is non existent. The woman answering the phones seems annoyed to have to schedule or even answer the phone. She seems to have a miserable life. Poor thing.

When American Home Shield dispatched Heros Plumbing to repair my water heater I immediately looked on Yelp and began to panic a bit because of the negative reviews.
Don't be fooled by the negative reviews left by people that failed to read the email sent from AHS explaining what's covered and what's not. Getting you water heater up to code is the owner's responsibility before any services can be provided.

Brent was our service technician and was very pleasant and attentive to our questions and concerns. He fixed our thermostat and valve that was causing water to consistently flow out of the over flow hose on the side of the house.

I would recommend this company to friends and family and even though I hope I don't need them again anytime soon they will be my go to for plumbing needs.

Heros's Plumbing Service, was sent to our home by our home warranty insurance company to fix our kitchen sink, to fix the kitchen faucet that sprang a large leak on November 4, 2021, we had two wait two days for them to come to our home, then the technician was not able to fix our faucet, the technician called our home warranty insurance the same day and they informed him how much they could spend to purchase the faucet, we located the faucet needed at Lowe's just down the street from our home, of course, the tech could not just go and purchase it he had to get approval from HPS, well guess what when I called on Monday regarding the status I was informed by the rude female that it would have to be ordered.  I called back on Tuesday (today) and now the rude female stated that it would take 7-10 days for the faucet to be received, REALLY I do not think we're aware of how much we depend on our kitchen sink.  I complained and asked to speak to the owner and this very rude unprofessional female hung up on me.  So their ad says they care I beg to differ, so run from this company if you ever referred to them or think of calling them for service.

Very rude! It took two weeks to get my water heater fixed! Then, while the technician was working on it, a lady called me to request the payment, and I was Informed that they only accept payments on cash or card with an extra fee because the company gets 'charge' for payments with cards. Isn't it supposed to be part of being on business ? I explained that due to the short notice we did not have the cash at home, but that we will get it. Her response was that she would call the technician to stop the work! She was very rude and unprofessional, after I wait for two weeks for them, they cannot wait for us even when they notified me at the last minute!  Finally, the technician agreed to follow my husband to the bank and finish the work.
By the way, my sister got the same work done by another company a lot less expensive! I got stuck with Hero's plumbing because of the insurance, but I hope to never have to deal with them again!!!

Poor  knowledge.  Did not give correct information to my home warranty company.  Misdiagnosed my hot water heater, because they didn't know how to fix it.  Found out a week later it was full with calcium deposits and sediment.  They need more education.  Just all around unprofessional.

Mario was our technician. We used our American Home Shield warranty for a toilet that wouldn't stop running, and our toilet is built under a counter that prevented me from making any repairs.

Mario found a way to use tools and get the problem fixed, and was nice enough to check every other faucet and shower and toilet in the house. Everything was good. Mario was phenomenal. A great first home warranty experience as well.

They were chosen by my home warranty company. The two guys sent out were quick to say it was not covered by the warranty then asked how much would it cost they said they did not want to give a quote. I think they were very lazy honestly waste of my time a money. I would have been better off trying to pick some up at Home Depot. I would never refer them period.

BIG ZERO FOR HERO'S PLUMBING. Not only did this company damage my personal property and tell me to deal with it. They left my home in a flooded disaster and now major mold issue. LAWSUIT TIME ! Fixed nothing, left me and my family in a flooded house and no water (expect what was floating on the carpet) and said CALL ON MONDAY AND SEE IF CAN COME BACK OUT Called office, same attitude. Do not pick this company to do anything in your home unless you want overcharged, ripped off, horrible service and you like your personal property damaged. BEWARE STAY AWAY !!

They should be called ZERO Plumbing, instead of Hero's Plumbing. And I'd give them ZERO stars if I could. My home warranty company dispatched them for a leaky pipe in the wall, and Hero's plumbing misdiagnosed the problem. I called the warranty company back and they sent Honest Plumber, who was the real hero and came to the rescue. They correctly assessed the problem and fixed it. So glad I didn't trust what Hero's Plumbing said was wrong!

I would give them 10 stars if I could. My shower faucet broke late on Friday night and spewed water out all over tub and bathroom. I had to turn off main water supply. I could see that this was a repair for a professional even though I am a YouTuber DIYer. I thought to myself well it's time to use my home warranty plan. Read reviews about AHS and figured here is where I will find out how they operate. I went online to set up a weekend emergency plumbing repair and crossed my fingers. Guess what got up Saturday morning to a phone call from AHS saying the plumber was on his way..Not 5 mins later Mario from Heros plumbing shows up at the door. Man that was fast. He asks what is wrong and as I show him. He says no problem I have the parts on my truck and have the know-how to finish the job. He treated me more like a friend than a service repairman. Showed me every step he needed to take and in less than no time I had water again. AHS and Mario from Hero's plumbing you are all my hero's. Better service than I could have paid hundreds of dollars for. If anyone is reading this and on the fence about a home warranty plan with AHS. Trust this guy in telling you they are worth their weight in gold. GET IT. Thank you AHS and Mario...

As with several other reviews this company was dispatched by our Home Warranty and I will be making an official complaint with them to hopefully remove them from their list of providers. Our hot water heater completely failed, water pouring out of it, so we didn't figure there would be any fixing it that it would have to be replaced.
Hero's came out and the plumber himself was polite. He provided us with an estimate of things that needed to be brought up to code and I have no issues with that, its the ridiculous prices that he is charging to do these upgrades. For an example he said we needed earthquake straps, which we actually already had, but for whatever reason he couldn't use those again and wanted to charge $98 for them. They are a less than $20 item at Home Depot, so his mark up is $78! That's just crazy! Basically the list of items he gave us that need to be done was $871 and the materials when researching prices was less than $100, so he feels like his time for less than 2 hours of work would be worth $700! I have no problem with someone making money so they can run their business but that's highway robbery. So because of this we were forced to do a cash settlement with the home warranty company. Amazing we found another reputable plumbing company to come out and he did the exact same thing that Hero's plumbing estimated for us for 1/2 the amount.
I literally have never posted to Yelp before, but do feel like this company is taking advantage of people who have no clue what a reasonable change for services are. We literally called 1 other plumber and paid 1/2 the amount and he said the prices Hero's quotes were way off.
As other people have noted the office staff is for sure not warm and fuzzy. I work in customer service everyday and if I had the attitude they do I #1 wouldn't have a job and #2 my boss wouldn't have a business.
I am trying to decide if I want to file a complaint to the BBB. I think this company is using its position as a provider for American Home Shield to overcharge customers. They should be ashamed of themselves. As many calls as they get from the Home Warranty Company, I am sure they could make a good living without overcharging people and essentially holding them hostage.

Absolutely NOT!  We called them out via American Home Shield, for lack of water pressure in the master bathroom and kitchen.  They said their was a lack of flow from the hot water pipes and they would need to clean them at the quote of a minimum of $750 which may not fix the issue.  We went there and were able to figure out that the valves were clogged, something they didnt even look into.  We are far from plumbers too.  So we had to pay that service call fee for Heros and then another $125 to get a competent plumber out to fix the issue that we were able to self diagnose.

Very bad - stay away!!

Wow, look at all THE BAD REVIEWS. Via home warranty Hero's professional walked in home, looked at leaky kitchen faucet and just said Home warranty doesn't cover valves. Whatever the F, that means. He didn't even touch the faucet. Cost me $75 service fee to have him walk in and stink up the room...

Our water heater was leaking and this is who our American Home shield sent out. My husband put in the order Saturday and they came out Monday (even though it was Labor Day)  and looked at everything. Apparently our old water heater was 24 years old and not permitted so the warranty covered a new water heater but we still had to pay $500 out of pocket getting everything taken care of. Better than worrying about it later. The guy did a good job and we were happy with the work? I'll update later if any issues.

Don't ever use Yelp to review a business that only shows reviews from non-customers.

We just had our toilet fixed by JR Amaya.  I could've done the work myself, but I would've used the wrong parts.  JR showed me why the toilet was leaking.  It had the wrong parts installed.

This was an easy job, but I didn't have to do it.  The work was done promptly, correctly, and all under my home warranty service.

Ask JR to be the guy who comes to your house.  Your plumbing problems will be solved.

THANKS!

Quick, Efficient, Very Professional! Had Mario out today to fix a leaking shower faucet. I received same day service, he had the problem fixed in a matter of 10 minutes! These guys are pretty good.    They are VERY by the book.  If you have something not up to current code - forget about it.  You either bring it up to code or they don't work on it.   I guess that's good business practice for them but, if you have an OLD house with original plumbing and need something tweaked, get ready for a lecture.

Edited to add:  I took one of the original stars away as  they are SO grumpy!  Greeted with grunts and that's as good as it got.   We had several issues and you would think we asked them to raise the house and replace all the lines.     Supervisor was a grump, employee was surly.   I was almost afraid to ask questions.    I really, really wish our home insurance company would let us choose our plumbers.      Like I said in my first review, they have always gotten the job done that's protected under our warranty but not always easily.   Quite often it entails negotiations and minor repairs to bring things up to current coded or just being firm when telling them what the problem is.

Don't ever use this company...But don't just take my word for it..Check the Better Business Bureau report. D- and I will also be filing a complaint..I wonder if that will give them an F. Unprofessional, lied about my mainline being clogged to charge additional money, I knew he was lying all of my toilets, and main bath were draining just fine only my laundry and kitchen sink were backed up..no common sense at all or maybe just uneducated in his profession. The next plumber came out and had the clog fixed in 30 mins.

I'm not sure which was worse, American Home Shield the home warranty company that I contacted for service, or Heros Plumbing who they dispatched at a cost of $75.00.  The guy that came out to repair the water heater which was still under warranty.  He contacted the heater manufacturer about the part and then advised that it would take 7-10 working days for the part to arrive, or pay fifty dollars to have it expedited.  I contacted American Home Shield about the delay and suggested that an expedite fee should be covered by them.  They were about as user friendly as a rattlesnake.  We then contacted the heater manufacturer who sent the part over night free of charge.  The entire episode resulted in no hot water for two weeks because Heros Plumbing never ordered the part to begin with.  Now just imagine living in a house with four small kids for two weeks with no hot water.  So much for Heros Plumbing as well as the useless American Home Shield warranty service.

They were sent out by our home warranty company, they are unprofessional, can not actually determine the issue or gain access to the pipes if the leak is inside the wall or floor. So we ended up having to call a separate plumber who was able to come out and diagnose the problem fairly fast. If you need an actual plumbing company save your self the headache and call Rotorooter cause Hero's has no idea what they are doing. Hero's even sent our home warranty company a diagnosis even though they never seen where the leak was coming from aka they said the leak was coming from the wall and there isn't a wall leak at all. They don't even deserve a 1 star review if they gave out negative stars they would definitely get them.

This was a horrible experience. We had to use Heros because they were the contracted plumber through American Home Shield. We put in the work request on Wednesday night.

The first issue we came across was that they weren't going to be able to come and look at the leak until Saturday. Meanwhile, I either have to have the water off to my house or allow it to keep leaking and damaging my wall. Despite the fact that this was an emergency leak, Mary wasn't helpful at all with scheduling and just kept telling me they were booked, unless AHS expedited our work order.

Eventually, I got lucky and Mary called to tell me there was a cancellation for Thursday evening.

When he arrived, the plumber barely looked for the leak in our crawl space, when he saw it, he said that he couldn't get to it (because other pipes are in the way). Next, he told us that WE would have to cut a hole in our wall or our floor. This is the report he sent to AHS, who then promptly said they wouldn't cover the cost of creating an access point. He went home, without fixing anything, because AHS would have to authorize the work. We were left to wait until Friday.

I won't argue the reasons why I believe AHS should have covered such a cost, if the plumber said it was required. This isn't a review of AHS.

It is, however, a review of this plumbing service and they gave an AWFUL assessment of the situation.

When we contacted our own plumber (from Bakersfield Plumbing) to assess the problem, he was able to locate the leak, identify that it was the line running to our refrigerator, and quickly found that the line could be accessed underneath our kitchen sink.

Absolutely NO HOLES were required to fix the problem, and he had it done within 2 hours from the time I called them.

Heros Plumbing and AHS would have had two teachers, with no home repair expertise, take a saw to our home rather than do the work they're paid to do.

Perhaps Heros offers better service to clients that call on their own, rather than the clients they have to serve via AHS. But if that's true, there's little integrity to a business like that.

I came home on a Friday afternoon at 4:30 to find my water heater leaking all over my garage. I called America Home Shield and they dispatched Heroes Plumbing. The technician immediately cut open my insulation to the water heater and said I needed a new water heater. He proceeded to tell me my water heater was not up to California code and I would have to pay out-of-pocket $635(New bracing straps$99, cement board$99, sediment trap$98, T&P headline w/union, permit & processing$150) in order to make it California code compliant and those costs we're not covered under my current home warranty  contract. He said they did not take credit cards and I would have to give him a check in order get on the schedule for first thing on Monday morning. I felt uneasy about this but what was I supposed to do on a Friday evening with no water heater and my home warranty company sent these people out so I trusted them. Come to find out they marked up all the above work so they could charge me & my warranty co. I contacted Hero's & asked for the owner george kubik to call me to explain the outrageous charges & was told he was conveniently out of state. I asked for a return call or email & owner never responded. I have filed a complaint with AHS & will be reporting them to BBB. I'm disgusted they took advantage of me & could care less about quality customer service. By the way you can get a 40 gallon gas water heater for around $600-700.

This company does not emphasize professionalism in their workers. Jack came out on behalf of AHS and became an instant headache to deal with. Prior to them coming out you are able to switch your assigned sub contractor if they have not yet arrived. Call AHS and have someone else come out. This company gives trade workers a bad reputation.

If you are here researching the company you are one step ahead of me. This was my first AHS service request that made our situation worse. Thankfully they had someone else come out and everything is working perfect.

I used Heros because they were dispatched by AHS.  I had a tiny drip in my root cellar that I was worried about. They sent out a journeyman, without appropriate tools to saw the pipe. It shook the whole house when he did so and knocked so much junk down the pipe that it plugged both my dishwasher and my kitchen faucet. He said those were separate repairs and he was not responsible. We cleaned the filter at the base of the faucet, and the aerator but I had to replace the faucet because it lost flow somehow. He turned the water back on, put away all his tools, and was going to drive off when I heard the water spraying in the basement. He never even checked after turning on the water. He then put on a fitting that failed in several months and flooded my basement. Longer story short, the awesome plumber from HPS who ended up coming because I refused to have Heros come out again said they aren't allowed to use those connectors because they always fail. Of course, I had to swamp out a flooded basement, living with the water damage, because AHS doesn't pay for that, and pay the additional service visit fee to AHS for having someone repair a problem caused by their contractor, Heros. So thumbs down for both AHS and Heros in the plumbing arena.

So frustrating!

If you touch ANYTHING at ALL (even if you're just looking at it to see if you really do need a plumber) then you can forget about it with these guys. Such and absolute WASTE of time and now they are trying to bill $100 for doing nothing.
Thanks a bunch, American Home Shield for someone out who won't do anything. I waited a week for someone to come out just to tell me he won't touch it. Garbage.

I recommend Heros Plumbing Service without reservation!  They have helped us a couple of times in the past  -- always courteous, friendly and competent, as well as sometimes going out of their way to make me a happy customer.  I must admit that in spite of our good experiences, all the sour reviews here gave me pause.  But again today Hero's came through with flying colors!  They came out this morning to see what they could do about a little water I noticed dripping down the outside of our hot water heater flue during the recent rains.  Their office called ahead of time to let me know they were on their way.  The gal on the phone was very nice, and they arrived soon afterward.  They were clean, on time, friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, and they quickly determined the problem.   Even though our problem was not covered under our AHS home warranty because it involved the flue above roof, they fixed it AS A COURTESY for no extra charge.  Really!!  Who does that?  Granted, it was a super quick fix, applying vent tape around the roof jack, but they absolutely didn't have to do that.  It involved climbing up a ladder and spending a little time and material, plus they gave me digital pictures of the roof jack that I can show a roofer should this fix fail.  They could have just told me I needed to call a roofer, which AHS does not cover, and that might cost me plenty.  I also asked for an estimate to replace our 15-year-old water heater.  He absolutely did not try to sell me, but provided me a courteous estimate together with a very helpful fact sheet of what is required to do the job up to code.  (To the complaining reviewers:  OF COURSE they have to comply with the building code -- it's the law, and they won't be in business long if they don't -- as well as comply with the provisions of your AHS coverage if you have it!  The building code is there to PROTECT YOU, so don't grump about it; if you don't like the terms of your home warranty coverage, take that up with the warranty company.  And yes, if you can do it cheaper yourself, fine, but then you'll be the one with the sore back and knees, the dirty hands, and no one to call on when the repair fails.  Also remember, their time and knowledge is what they sell, so they can't just stand around waiting on you while their valuable time flies by.  Courtesy goes both ways!)  I join the other reviewer:  Thanks Hero's.

Absolutely have had the best service and experience with Hero's! Brent has been the man that has come out all 3x. He is extremely kind, thorough, and is very competent in assessing the issue! There was another technician 2 of the times, I can not recall his name, but he is wonderful too!

I had an issue with my kitchen sink backing up. I took everything underneath out to make sure nothing was clogged first, then ran a 6' snake. Still Nothing. I contacted my home warranty company and Heros Plumbing was assigned. I was skeptical of this company after reading all the negative reviews on Yelp. I made a non-emergency appointment and got scheduled a few days later. No big deal. They usually give you a 30-minute heads-up. When I got the call, the tech was there in less than 5 minutes.  Communication was good from the office. The tech ran his powered 25' snake down the pipes. I am thinking it took approximately 15'  to unclog the drain. It took him a total of 30 Minutes from the initial greeting till he was done with the job. My home insurance covered the whole bill besides my copay. The tech was very friendly and answered all my questions. And just an FYI, do not put grease down the sink or wash your pet's hair in the tubs or sinks as it can clog very easily. Lol

Poor quality unprofessional dispatch. I am not sure about the workmanship and knowledge behind this company but the first impression when talking to the dispatcher or the office manager was: lack of knowledge, lack of customer service, lack of professionalism, arrogant.

I contacted American Home Shield on 02/14/2022 and was contacted by Hero's Plumbing in
Bakersfield, CA and scheduled for the soonest available of 02/18/2022. The technician went
out, removed the part and left the tenants without kitchen sink water access while the part was
ordered. During the visit, the technician turned on and off the main water line causing a leak in
my front yard (may have been done too fast)! I contacted American Home Shield and Hero's
plumbing urgently and I never received a return call from Hero's plumbing regarding the main
water line leak. It is 03/01/2022 and the part has not been received and no follow up call was
made to me since the 18th. My tenants, of course, are upset due to the lack of empathy of the technician.
After speaking with Dawn at Hero's office, I agree with the lack of empathy and would like to add had an unpleasant experience as I was hung up on rudely.  I attempted several times to call back only to be greeted by voicemail.

This company gets no stars from me. My home owners insurance uses them. I already paid 4 the services to install my outdoor water heater. I was forced to install a fire alarm in every single room yet the water heater is outside. I was then told I had 30 minutes b4 they would leave and was only gone 10 min to get the fire alarms and when I called there office to speak to them their rep who answered hung up in my face and did not give me a chance to explain. This is a garbage company with rude employees and I will be switching home owners insurance for sending such a crappie company to my home.

These guys were great. It took less than 24 hours from the time I called AHS to the time they were at my doorstep. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and fast. They figured out what my problems were and fixed them immediately. I would definitely recommend them!

Note: This review is for the Heroes Plumbing at 9530 Hageman Rd in Bakersfield.

be careful of the company Heros Plumbing Service they have workers such as Chris who ask for and takes the payments and doesn't give the money to the company as the company takes another payment from their workers keeping the money for themselves and telling the company that they weren't given payment which is why you should pay the company instead of the workers to avoid double payment. please be careful from the the untrustworthy company and workers no matter how many years they had worked for.

They took almost a month to fix a leaky tub faucet and when they finally showed up with the parts the job was sloppy and they didn't fix  the leak. It was also the drain in the tub and they blamed in on previous pipe work which was done correctly and they LIED about it! I would never have them in my house again. Also the owner is a complete B****!!

These guys are only interested in their contracted insurance clients approval.. They service American Home Shield home warranty, and try to get by with the most minimal repair possible, instead of doing a quality job for the homeowner. They say this is policy, but a bad one I feel.

Too bad there are no negative stars. Too bad they are still in business. Too bad home warranty still sends them. Since the water heater is covered by the warranty they decided to make up a bunch of severely overcharged items that wee needed to bring it up to code. After researching prices and codes my husband discovered that these charges were outrageous and erroneous. And the woman who answered their phone was so rude I wanted to slap her through the phone. Thankfully my husband was able to convince the warranty service that he can do the work for less than the plumber.  If your warranty service wants to send send these guys out, tell them no.
