Gateway Rooter

Daniel and his his team is the only plumber I rely on, and I've been working with him for the good part of a decade. Tried others, but nobody is a thorough as he is and will never gouge you. Gas, water, troubleshooting, or extensions/construction, he is a complete pro for all of those situations. He is worth the wait if you don't have an emergency but will always prioritize you if you have one. Easy 5 star rating.

I used Gateway Rooter recently to fix an issue of smell in the garage.  Old house, we had no idea which direction the sewer line was running.   Daniel, the owner did a great job.    Work was done timely and well. His price was fair.  
He is a very nice person and would use his service again if needed.
I met with a few other sewer repair companies;  I chose Gateway because I felt he knew what he was doing.   I was not disappointed.

Daniel and his team have done a lot of work for us over the last ~10 years including water heater, installing new toilet and even clearing pipe which caused flooding. He is professional, tells me where to get best supplies and work is 100% high quality. If he installs something, it is done well and I do not have to follow up about that item, maybe never. I can't believe I've never written a review for them. Highly recommend!

I found this plumber somewhat unconventionally. We had an issue with moisture getting into the exterior wall of our finished basement room, which is below grade. We do have a French drain, which was installed by the prior owners. But we knew nothing about it - where exactly it was, whether it was clean and functioning.

I had multiple contractors come take a look and most of them said we need to dig out all the concrete outside to locate the drain, and then waterproof - or even replace (!) our foundation etc. This is all because of a tiny bit of efflorescence on a wall.

Feeling stressed, I went for a walk. I turned the corner and saw the Gateway truck parked. I went up to the guy standing outside and asked if he could come take a look. To my surprise he said yes, he'd be there in a half hour.

The plumber, Daniel, showed up right on time. He took a look at everything, told us where the French drain was located based on the location of the catch basin, and said he could do a camera inspection for us. He came back a few days later and ran his cool camera thingy through all our pipes (I called it a house colonoscopy.). He climbed the fence and inspected the opening of the French drain, which is in our neighbor's yard. He gave us some ideas about how to mitigate the moisture issue without breaking the bank, and put my worries at ease.

Daniel was professional, on time, and extraordinarily reasonable for the amount of time he spent with us. I will be sure to call them to fix plumbing issues in the future.

It's easy to say that Daniel and Gateway Rooter are a solid company with a professional staff. We are very pleased with the scheduling and the job itself. During this last visit, he installed a new kitchen faucet, garbage disposal, and an ADA toilet. In the past, we have also had him installed a water heater and fix exterior sewage pikes. We will continue to use Gateway Rooter. He also was very respectful about safe practices during Covid 19.

We were fortunate to have Daniel, the owner himself, help us with a backed up sewer line. Not only he cleared the backup right away by snaking close to the trap, he took care to run extra water from the offending drain. He then inspected with camera the main connection far under the street and went right and left there. When I asked him to do jet cleaning of all the lower sewer drains he was super thorough: He patiently guided the snake/camera/jet upstream into the building 30-35ft with hot water cleaning and rechecking carefully. Great to see someone have this level of skill and put in the effort. The charge was reasonable and Daniel gave us a 6 month warranty. Highly recommend!
