Im giving Flowrite 2 stars because the first time we used him he was great. Second time we called him out he said he could be there on the day we requested. We called him mid morning of the appointment to see when he would be showing up. At that time he informed me it would be 4 weeks! A phone call would have been nice so we could at least find someone else. Good thing my house wasnt flooding!

Our water heater wasn't working. I called another company but they told me they'd work on it. I waited 3 hours with no information or updates. I then called Flowrite. Maybe it was luck but they said they'd have someone come within 2 hours. Nathan explained everything to me and what steps he had taken. While it cost more than I had hoped to fix the issue, it is fixed and comes with a 6 month warranty. Nathan was kind, quick, and honest. Would 100% recommend

I called yesterday and Jessie showed up this morning on time. I explained the leak and we discussed our thoughts. I didn't want him to cut through the wall first and requested that he try from the bathroom cabinet on the other side. He did that but could not see if there was a leak due to the insulation. He cut through the hallway wall and found the problem. He very carefully explained the options for remediation and was patient with my infinite amount of questions. What I thought may take all day, took about 3 hours. Jessie was thorough, tidy, kind, professional and made me feel very comfortable that the leak was repaired. I love hiring local businesses and I would highly recommend Flowrite! Thank you for the great work and Jessie is a definite asset to your team!

Flowrite gave us an estimate of almost $1700 for a job another company charged us $500 to do.  Everything is working perfectly now, for less than a third of the cost Flowrite would have charged.  Nice guy, but that's a huge price difference...

I am amazed that these people can get away with snowing the public!  We had a problem with our plumbing and called Flowrite for a review and estimate.  They said they charge a fee of $59, just to come out.  We agreed and they came out, on time I might add but what followed next was like a bad used car salesman pitch!  The plumber reviewed the plumbing issue and then said he'd have to call his office first before giving us our options.  That didn't sound good. .. When he came back to talk with my husband he said we had a major problem that couldn't be solved by just simply snaking the main sewer line.  The plumber gave us three options for the fix.  The first option would cost $500 (the simple snaking of the line), and the last option $2600!  Not only would the last option cost $2600, but he'd have to destroy our driveway in order to do it!  So, after the destruction, we'd have to pay to get our driveway repaired.   My husband said thanks but no thanks.  We were able to get a hold of a small independent plumber who fixed the problem and charged us only $150 with a 60 day guarantee!  He showed my husband that our pipes were clear of any issues and we are happy campers.

My name is Stanford Stephens. I am so glad to we were turned on to Flowrite.Plumbing. The times I have called for service I get to speak to a real nice person and she makes sure a plummer will be out very soon. Both of my calls were earlier than then appointment times and the work  was done with care and perfection. Also, it is nice to have a company come out to address the problem without charging a fee for this service. I met Jimmie today for a water leak and Jess last week for a gas line installation. No one ever wants a pluming  problem but it is great to have a company to work who is there to help the homeowner as opposed  to just making money.

Jimmy was an absolute pleasure to work with. We were having problems with our water pressure and weren't able to take a shower- AND I was 8 months pregnant at the time. Jimmy made time to fix our issue the same week! Thank you Flowrite!

I called Flowrite for a quote to change out approximately 60' of cast iron sewer line on my investment property.  They communicated well, showed up when promised, and did a great job. Jimmy will give you a fair estimate, and is an honest man.  When the job was completed, Flowrite actually charged me a bit less than I was originally quoted because they didn't have to change out a small portion of the piping which I wasn't able to see.  Go with these guys if your on the fence about choosing a plumber.

What a joke.  Yes they showed up but held us hostage with their repair plans.  The only reason we called them in the first place is because they are certified for Rinnai tankless hot water heaters.
We paid over $700 for the Band-Aid fix.  That is what they called it. Really?  I would not recommend this company to anyone.  Do yourself a favor and find another certified company,

Jimmy has a customer for life! He swooped in after we have battled for 5.5 weeks with warranty insurance to replace our hot water heater. He and Jesse were fast, friendly and we feel very confident that we're taken care of. I contrast this experience with another local plumber and it's like night and day. His price was fair and I trust that he'll be around if we have any problems.

I had a great experience. I had Jesse from Flowrite install a gas line extension from my main gas line in the attic to a fireplace. They were quick to get an estimate and quick to  do the work. They were not the cheapest quote I had but were close and they were resourceful in not needing to open up any walls to get the gas line installed (many other quotes I had were for more and said I would be responsible for repairing the walls after they opened them up).
To be honest it was Jesse who's professionalism and honest work ethic that made me choose this company. He did the job in a reasonable amount of time, it was clean, he was very good and the work looks great at the end, no messes left after. He checked his work and had me look over the end job. I'm happy with the work.
 I recommend using them.

Flowrite Plumbing has been a real pleasure to work with.  I had broken an old pipe in our backyard that required turning off the water to the entire backyard. They were able to come out sooner than originally scheduled which helped us tremendously.  Jesse was the contractor that came out to the house. He was very friendly, thorough, knowledgeable and honest.  He explained several different options to correct the problem and we went through the costs.  He was able to fix the pipe and replaced the valve within a couple of hours.  He cleaned the patio area when he was done and and made sure to put covers over his shoes when he entered our house.  We were very happy with the work he performed and how nice and respectful he was. We highly recommend Flowrite Plumbing if your have any plumbing issues.

We had a leaking fireplace gas turn on valve.  We were afraid that the fireplace hearth would have to be opened up because of how the pipes were situated below.  Jesse Portillo came and saved the day!  He carefully took off the church key valve, and found the leak underneath. He had a great deal of difficulty threading a new pipe on the existing pipe in the hearth because it was crooked.  He refused to give up until he got it all put together and sealed.  His outstanding work saved us thousands of dollars and much heartache!
Thank you, Jesse, and thank you Flowrite!
You are our go to plumbing company from now on !!

Jesse was punctual and professional when he arrived. He explained things and our options very thoroughly. He checked and replaced our garbage disposal after he fixed our clogged drainage in the kitchen sink. Hope we got a discounted price for the garbage disposal like he offered. He also checked out our sinks and plumbing under neath in the other bathrooms.

Having spent most of my adult life in apartments, I haven't had much experience with plumbers, but based on various stereotypes of opportunistic pricing, difficulty to contact, etc., it was never something I was looking forward to.

Flowrite came recommended by the company that sold us our gas insert to lay the gas lines. We had such a positive experience that, when our kitchen sink backed up on New Year's Day, we contacted them and had it addressed the next day. We went ahead and had him do some other work while he was here and were pleased with the experience and results.

A few months later, when there was an easily explainable manufacturing issue with one of the pieces he installed, he came quickly to address it, doubled up the effort to prevent it from happening again and didn't charge us anything for the work.

If you need a responsive, diligent, honest and thorough plumbing company who stand by their work then every interaction we have had suggests that Flowrite is that company.

I needed a new disposal and to have my kitchen drain cleared, as it was almost stopped up.  They were prompt in responding to my call and scheduling a mutually convenient time.  Their technician, Jesse, was friendly and courteous.  He put booties on before coming into my house, removed them at the door whenever he had to go out to his truck, and put them back on before coming back into my house, which I appreciated.  He wore gloves and a mask.  He gave me about 4 different packages to choose from calling them, as I recall, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Band-Aid.  The Gold (which was well over $1,000) and the Silver and Bronze packages seemed to include preventative services and offered me longer warranties.  I just wanted a cleared drain and a new disposal, not all the other bells and whistles, so I chose the Band-Aid package, which, by the time I'd heard all the other prices, seemed reasonable at $542.  Jesse also spent time checking out a small issue with a toilet and discussing drainage issues in my yard.  He was generous with his time in answering all my questions.  So, I'm pleased with the service I received and will call Flowrite again.

Sean came over on a Friday to run a gas line for our new fireplace insert.  We walked the job - there were a couple of options.  He priced up each one and fully discussed the pros and cons with each run.  Once we decided on the route for the gas line Sean got right to work.  He said the job would take about 6 hours and that's just about how long it took.
I was very happy with the work, the service, and the price.
Thanks Flowrite.

Shaun arrived to run a gas line to our fireplace as we recently purchased a gas insert. He was prompt, efficient and very neat. He also has a great sense of humor! He carefully explained the process, quoted a reasonable price and completed the task very promptly. We were very impressed! He was even kind enough to patiently answer our plumbing questions that were totally unrelated to the task at hand! We certainly would turn to Flowrite Plumbing when needs arise.

Jim has been a close friend for years and because of his great work ethic pride in his work , pricing, and reliability, he's the only plumber I refer to my customers for major plumbing issues. I'm a handyman and do a lot of plumbing repairs but when it's over my head and he takes over the job is done with quality and quickness and my customers love him.

Over the phone, yes, we have specialized equipment to find your leak. Turns out the 'specialized equipment' was man going underneath the house. Then said, we need to call a leak detection company - I was told over the phone I had called they WERE a leak detection company. In the end, charged me $350, told me what I already knew (the leak is between my well and the house) and left saying let me know if you want us to call a lead detection specialist. Do not use this company.

I have a two year old, a toilet, and I HAD an iPhone...

One of my toilets was not flushing correctly. My husband tried plunging it, tried pouring liquid plumber, etc. Nothing worked. It was time to call a plumber. We ended up calling FlowRite.

We were quoted an initial price to snake the line, and were warned that the price could increase if additional work was needed.

15 minutes before his arrival, Jimmy called to let us know that he would be there in 15 minutes. Before coming inside, he put covers on his shoes to protect my carpet. He went upstairs and checked out the toilet. He let me know that he would snake the line, and confirmed the price that was previously quoted. He also quoted a price in case snaking did not work, and the toilet had to be removed.

Snaking was a failure, and the toilet had to be removed. After taking the toilet outside, Jimmy used a camera to identify the problem. He showed me on the camera where the blockage was, and we tried to guess what it was... lego? hot wheel? little people toy?...

After spending over an hour working at it, Jimmy was able to remove the object.... it was an iPhone! The toilet survived, the phone did not! However, we both got a good laugh out of it.

Long story short, Jimmy was amazing. He kept me up to date as he worked, notified me of any pricing changes that could happen, and was very professional.  PLUS he fixed the problem, and my toilet is good as new... the iPhone, not so much!

I strongly recommend this company to anyone needing a plumber! Call FlowRite, you will not be sorry!

In 2014, Jimmy installed a tankless system in my residence for 5g, the process took 1 day. Although at the time I thought the price was on the high side, I went ahead & went with him based on his experience & knowledge. In 2015, I had a water leak in my front yard at the box where the water meter is located. County water agency dug a good sized hole & determined it was my responsibility to fix. County water agency diagnosed the fix, a 90 degree plastic elbow that needed to be replaced. I Called Jimmy. At the end of the day, Jimmys co-worker responded, looked in the hole & agreed same diagnosis as county. Co-worker went to the store to get the part, cut the old piece out, installed & glued new piece. Actual labor took approximately 10 minutes. Co-worker than sat in his truck for approximately 1 hour & talked on the phone before driving away. Jimmy charges me $400. County agency responds back out to inspect the work at which time they approve the fix. County worker asks me who did the work, I tell him Flowrite. He then asks me how much did they charge, I tell him $400. County worker responds with a surprised look & tells me I got gouged on that deal. I call Jimmy back & tell him what the County worker said. Jimmy gets irritated with the County worker & starts justifying to me why I'm being charged $400. Summary: Jimmy is knowledgeable experienced, & does good work. After checking with other plumbers, the $15 in parts & 10 minutes it took to fix the leak in my front yard should have been a $125 to $150 service call. I gave Jimmy a chance to make the situation right at which time he made excuses. Ohh & guess who got to fill in the hole & do all the clean up work.....me.

If money is no object, then this plumbing company may be right for you.

Our house flooded due to a water line break in our kitchen and I am thankful that Flowrite was timely for the appointment afterward to take a look and to inform us about the water pressure regulator, which after more than 10 years was no longer functioning and caused the water line to break.

The owner of the company excused himself to calculate a quote to repair the broken water lines in the kitchen and replace the water pressure regulator. He returned with an iPad presentation with five options, ranging from $500 (referred to as a band aid) to more than $1,600 (premium package). To say that we were shocked is putting it mildly.

When we asked why the work was so expensive we were told that overhead, including the $200,000 truck parked outside and the iPad on which the repair options were presented are part of the cost, in addition to his expertise, etc. When we asked about the cost of parts and the length of time required to complete the job, the owner told us that he doesn't work that way and that he wasn't comfortable completing the work for us because we weren't comfortable compensating him for his expertise. After a bit more discussion we decided that we would consider paying (significantly) more for the repairs than we had estimated if the work could be completed that day. When the owner checked on the water pressure regulator replacement, he didn't have it on his truck and said that he wouldn't be able to return with one for several days.

I'm more than thankful that the part wasn't on his truck because we picked up the regulator and replacement lines/parts at Home Depot for about $100 and we fixed everything ourselves with some help from a friend. If we had been experiencing an urgent plumbing emergency at the time, I'm sure we would have paid anything to have it fixed; thankfully, we didn't and saved a heck of a lot of money accordingly.

Fist of all, I live in Walnut Grove, it's not always easy to find services that will come here.
My story:
Doing small updates on home.  Had handyman out and asked if he could fix drain in tub. Lever was stuck (open, thank god, had been for quite a while). He tried but said it was beyond him and to try a plumber. I went and bought new shower head arm, new faucet and surround, new overflow plate with drain stopper, and new tub drain cover.

That done here's my review.
Pros-
Returned call, professional, they did make a change of date, calendar to confirm new date, called to update arrival time. Arrived at time given, introduced himself, presented his card, put on paper booties.
Cons-
He told me it sounded as if I had some little jobs and he is not a handyman, he is a plumber and charges plumber prices. Gave me a quote of $350. + 150.00 for the drain & shower arm and spout and faucet. He's here, I said fix it all.  Wanted it done.
Well, I know it was difficult to get the shower handle off, but it was done, shower arm, easy. Drain cover he said couldn't do.  Could cause larger problem. OK. Couldn't do tub spout either. Told me what to look for when I buy one. Didn't do tub drain either.
What I had bought evidently wasn't right.
I ended up paying $350.00. Think that's high.
Maybe I'm wrong, I went by reviews that said reasonable.
I'll call another handyman.

Found out after he left that I was gouged. I had an error code on my tankless water heater for an ignition problem. The regional tankless water heater rep recommended Flowrite. He came and said that the igniter looked fine but that the unit was dirty and that wouldn't be covered by warranty. I chose the cheapest repair option (which was just a dusting/cleaning job), and then later found out the cost was quite steep. He was very nice and wore a mask the whole time and was very professional however

Re: 3 leaking faucets (kitchen sink, bathtub, bathroom sink)

The technician (Jesse P) offered four options which the company literally called Gold/Silver/Bronze/Band Aid. Gold was $2400, and Band Aid was $1000. I already had the replacement faucet ($200), so the price does not even include the major part. I did not hesitate even a second to let him go. Oh ya, they charged me $90 for the estimates, which was fine... because they clearly let me know when I scheduled the appointmeny.

Long story short - I hired a different technician who did the whole job + parts for $300. He replaced the kitchen sink faucet, replaced a cartridge for the bathtub faucet & rubber ring for the bathroom sink.

What a waste of time/money... What a bitter experience...
