Fix-It 530 Remodeling and Maintenance

Walter did a lot of odd jobs in my house that I am remodeling. From changing all the doorknobs and hinges for more modern look, to changing the faucets and plumbing issues, backsplash installation etc... Best part is his communication. Promptly came by for a quote, always answers his phone. Keep you updated with the work. Some unexpected difficulties, even after we paid him, he would come back to work on what was needed to finish his job. He is a perfectionist! Very professional, will not leave you hanging. He has my business for life!

Walter was such a pleasure to work with, and I will definitely call on him in the future for any and all home repairs. Not only did he fix my bed frame in less time than predicted, but he graciously fixed my sliding closet door and repaired some loose boards on my back fence for free. I am glad to now know such a multi-talented handyman.

Walter replaced my microwave/range hood with a new range hood. He encountered some unexpected difficulties during the installation. He had no complaints but kept solving each problem. He finished his work in great condition. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The owner is not reliable about showing up as agreed.  Called him on Wednesday of one week, he said he'd come the following Thursday at nine AM.  After waiting an entire week for him to arrive, he texted me that he was running late.  I called and he said it would be between 10:15 and 10:30.  When he hadn't arrived at 11:45, I called. He said something came up and he had something else to do.  Don't waste your time.  Find someone else.

Stay away from this guy. He says he knows how to do work that he cannot do and or perform... I had to pay somebody to fix the work that he did it turned out to be a nightmare. He also comes with a very scary Entourage.

Walt is awesome- he did my bathroom tile and baseboards. Knowledge of a contractor at handyman prices when you go with Walt- I'm already planning my next project for him and wouldn't recommend anybody else.

Walter is reliable, professional, and seems capable of doing anything regarding a home (and more!). He can repair or replace anything.  He has helped me deal with a complicated plumbing situation, floor repairs, carpet repairs, electrical repairs, and always leaves everything cleaned-up when finished.  He even put together some electrical-assist bicycles for me, when they came in a box, completely unassembled.  Walter is creative and brilliant, and I feel I can always count on him to find solutions that are beyond excellent.

I hired Walter to remove an old bathroom vanity & install a new one. He put down vinyl plank flooring in the bathroom and laundry room and replaced the baseboards in two bathrooms and laundry room.  I was surprised by the reasonable estimate he gave me.  He explained that he and his associates would be able to do the work quickly and they did.  I am happy with the work they did and the price.  I'm happy with the job they did.

Had Walter fix a few things at a rental property including hanging drywall, repairing the kitchen undersink cabinet, fix a fence gate and replace a door. All tasks were completed quickly and efficiently and he was very accommodating to my schedule as I work in a different town. I would definitely consider him again when work needs to be done at the rental and my own home.

You should know that Walter is not a licensed contractor, but he IS an AWESOME handyman.  I'm getting ready to put my house on the market, and my regular guy had moved.  I had a lot of little projects, and I needed urgent help.  Walter was able to arrange his schedule to get everything done in time.  He even went an picked up a piece of furniture for me.

He repaired my fence, built a new gate, fixed my front door which was badly stuck!, covered up some dings in my walls, fixed up my attic entry (which was wrecked from furnace install) and wall-mounted a television,

Reasonably priced, quality work, performed in a reasonable time frame.  I'm happy to have found him.

called Mr fix it to get a project finished and they scheduled me asap and came over.  great personal service, and when we had an issue with something, he came right over to fix it.

Walt was able to jump in and get several jobs done on short notice and time constraints.  Can-do attitude and recognized when help was needed instead of over promising. Walter delivered as promised.  He gave me a quote for the cost very quickly and could get the job done on my schedule.  His work was high quality and he was as professional and efficient as possible.  I will utilize his services again.  Specifically, Walter removed a water softener unit, the water lines, and looped the water lines inside the wall.

Walter was great to work with. On time, courteous, straightforward and reasonable with pricing. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work he performed, which included some touch up painting, ceiling fan installment, and fixing a hole in the drywall. Walter went above and beyond what was expected of him, returning the following day free of charge to help out with a small project. He's got a good personality and attitude. Highly recommend.

I had loose handrails at my stairs. Walter let me know that the handrails were really old, and it might be best to install new ones sometime soon. But he got the existing banisters rock solid! Great job!

Walter responded promptly, came over the next day, fixed our freezer door without fuss, and charged a reasonable rate. What more can you ask for? I'm so glad to have found a good handyman.

Walter lived up to all of his sterling reviews for me.  He stopped by the house to give me an estimate on a repair, but when he saw what needed to be done, he just jumped on it and fixed it, no muss, no fuss, no wait.  I could not be more satisfied... or impressed!  The bill was very reasonable, too.

Walter did a wonderful job fixing some window fixtures in my home.  He was very nice.  I will call on him again for any future repairs I may need.

Walter couldn't have done a better job on my kitchen cabinet.  I hired a handyman from West Sacramento to remove some trim and he messed it up badly.  Walter was able to come in, repair the damage, and make it look better than it did before.  He gave me a very reasonable price for his work.  I am definitely plan on hiring him to do other jobs in my new house.

This review is long overdue!! Walter is awesome.  He put in my dog door.  I didn't have the right size door the first time and he was really understanding about it.  He even did research to be sure he put in the door correctly.  He's super nice and explained how to lock the door so it would be secure.  Reasonable price and very friendly!  Thanks Walter!

Walter did two plumbing job for me ( garbage disposer and leak in toilet). His rates were reasonable and service was very good. Prompt in returning call. So far I am very satisfied with his work.

But one thing that bothers me is that you think it's my fault you didn't respond to my request for services and that if you can't provide for your family that's on me too. Walter is a super nice guy who helped a lot to install our ceiling fans. It was really happy to work with him :). He gives many other home advising information and He was the best handyman I have ever seen.

Walter did a great job fixing my leaky toilet and replacing a GFI switch. Very reasonable rates. I highly recommend him.

I made a request through his website, and we set up an appointment by phone.  Walter was prompt and professional.  We had him fix three doors in our house.  Reasonably priced, all-around good guy, a definite thumbs up!

I have called on Walter two times recently. The first time he installed a 30lb decorative mirror for me. He did a very good job! I was so worried about the weight of this item but he made sure it was secure, answered all my questions, and put my mind at ease. It looks perfect.

I called Walter this morning because my front porch light went out yesterday evening. I mentioned in my voicemail I was concerned because it left my front yard so dark at night! He immediately responded and fit me into his busy schedule. When he arrived he found that a new fixture was all that was necessary. All wiring was fine. Walter even went to local hardware store to purchase the necessary replacement fixture!! Thank you Walter!!
