They are very friendly and helpful here. They have plenty of good reviews which inspired me to try them out. Their customer service was prompt, courteous and friendly. They make it easy to get a quote, I just sent them a few photos from my phone and they diagnosed the problem and told me what needs to be done as well as the price. Then I was able to set up an appointment for the work. They kept the work area clean too which I really appreciate, a sign of professionalism. I definitely recommend these folks.

These guys are professionals, and do a terrific job. The prices are very reasonable, & they do a thorough job. I was having an issue with my hot water lasting more than 5 minutes for a shower, but they found the problem & fixed it, no more timing the shower :). Definitely recommend.

THEY SAVED US FROM TAKNG COLD SHOWERS!! Seriously our water hasn't been hot like normal for some reason and my roommate and I couldn't handle just praying our water would be warm that day anymore. My roommate and I attend UC Berkeley and are so busy with summer school and volunteering it had been the last thing on our list to take care of. They were super friendly plumbers who work hard! I wasn't exactly sure what was wrong or what happened to my water heater but their guy on the phone helped me out a ton. They responded promptly and he gave me a short rundown of what was happening and how much it would cost to get it fixed. It was super helpful as my roommate and I had never felt with a plumber before! Thankfully it was a cheaper repair!!! Can't express how easy they made everything!

WOW, I can now appreciate a hot water heater! Brrrr! I called them at around 10 am and they were able to come to my house in about 2 hrs.

Mike came and was very courteous and sincere. I was glad he was able to assess the problem right away. He found that the dip tube that supplies cold water to my tank was cracked. He said that this plastic tube is supposed to direct cold water to the bottom of the water heater tank, but, if it breaks or splits (which he said commonly happens over time), cold water pours in at the top of the tank and mixes with the hot water that is on its way to the hot water pipes.

Well, yes, my hot water heater is over 20 years old. It was a pleasure to deal with someone who really knows his trade!

To summarize everything up, they do a great job. They have a great schedule with lots of room to be able to choose your appointment and time. They also give you a two hour window of when they will arrive but they sent a text message before showing up. Their plumber was well trained and had a lot of background work repairing water heaters. He did a lot of work for a short amount of time being at my house. Everything seems to be working great again so far. They met my expectations and then some. Definitely recommend them for any water heater repairs, you won't be sorry.

Seriously, great service. If I can give 10 stars, I would! I highly recommend the East Bay Water Heater. My water heater stopped working and we only had cold water. I called and I was really happy that they were able to come out the next morning to repair it! This company is professional, responsive, and their prices were fair. Jeff, the serviceman, was extremely professional and had the job done in only a few hours, and I was really impressed Jeff cleaned up after the job. I could not have asked for more. These guys had a reasonable price, and they are overall excellent company. I had a great experience with their team. Really good job! Much better than Lowes, Home Depot, or General Plumber! A HUGE thank you to Jeff and the East Bay Water Heater Team! If you're in need of a water heater repair, I highly recommend this company. More businesses should follow their operation model.

Totally agree with the other Yelpers here- I had a last minute need and they were so accommodating to my work schedule, which is regular office hours. They did an awesome job too!!

Also, I asked a ton of questions because I had no idea how anything worked, and they were so patient and answered all of the questions I asked in an easy to understand way.

Highly recommended and I'll be calling them if this happens again!

I had a leaky old water heater when I purchased a condo. Spoke to Mike on the phone and he gave me an honest assessment of how much life I have on it and how to prepare for the inevitable replacement. That gave me some room to budget and research on what to replace it with . When the time came, they made it so easy - I chose a time , they came on time cleared the clutter around the old heater, removed it and installed the new one in a jiffy. Very reasonable prices on labor and heater. I would go back there for my next property right of the back, instead of waiting for an emergency replacement. Highly recommend!

This place Rocks with their customer service!
When my water heater stopped working I was worried I would have to go days with out warm showers or running the dishwasher. But they made the whole process fast and painless. I called to get a quote and was scheduled for an appointment the very Next Day!
When Mike and the other service guy came to my residence they were both friendly and professional. They kept me informed about the process every step of the way.
The replacement water heater was installed quickly and conveniently. I especially appreciate how they disposed of my old broken water heater for me since I had no idea how to trash that huge thing.

This establishment has very accommodating workers who make sure your needs are fully taken care of. I was housesitting and needed the hot water back on and I had a friend give me the thumbs up - a great recommendation for them. When I called in, they requested some shots from which I got a quote and an appointment time via text message. Their tech seemed really sincere and you could tell he wasn't just out to get your money / over charge /anything like that. Their tech left everything super clean before he left too. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to get such a great company working for me and that they have such great availability.

Really nice staff here! When I called in they were full but put me on a cancellation list. They ended up not having a cancellation but one of the plumbers just had an opening because he got with a job a lot quicker than he thought he would. So I took the appointment for Saturday and everything went great! He repaired my water heater without any problems. Great family business.

From their customer service to the actual plumber on the job, I found their whole team very honest and professional. I was having trouble with the hot water in my shower-it would suddenly go from hot to cold while you are in the shower without any warning!! I called East Bay Water Heater to discuss the issue and they seemed to understand the problem right away. The plumber came by the next day and fixed the problem very quickly. It's very difficult to find a trustworthy service these days and I'm really glad I came across theirs. If East Bay Water Heater offers services in your area- I would definitely recommend giving them a call, you won't be disappointed!

Great business for getting water heater services done. I knew I made the right choice after they gave me a great price and they offered to come look at my water heater that day. I wasn't exactly sure what was wrong with it but after explaining it to the guy, Mike, he seemed to know what it was right away. He came over to my house that evening and sure enough it was just what he thought it was.

He offered to repair the part that night or to come back in the morning cause he knew how late it was, which I thought was great. I had him repair it that night though since he was already at my house and I didn't want him making a second trip.

Overall they are 5 stars because they were great at communicating with me, they got me in for an appointment super fast and Mike was just awesome all around.

I'm hoping I don't have any water heater problems for a long time but I have their number saved just in case!

He was different than the guy my mom got but just as great! He did the repair efficiently and was able to take a card. These guys are for sure our go-to plumbers now!

The customer service was beyond what I expected! They never tried to beat around the bush when it came to my questions and were upfront about the price. I love when I know exactly what to expect, especially in a time where I need something like hot water. They were able to repair my water heater without any trouble. I was honestly so frustrated when I first found out it wasn't working cause I thought I was going to have to go DAYS without hot water but they made sure to get me in the same day! They do great work at great prices! The plumber who was sent out was very friendly, great attitude and really knew what he was doing. Attentive staff along with great customer service goes a long way in my book. They have fast availability as well as good prices. Having no hot water is such a pain but they made it simple by getting me in fast and not charging me an arm and a leg. When they came out the next day they were respectful and turned my hot water back on fast. I have no clue what exactly they did, all I know is that I have hot water again and I'm happy again! I liked the repair guy a lot so I even tipped him a small amount. What can I say? I'm super impressed!

I had the pilot light on my water heater repaired. I would recommend them if they work your area. They did a great job!
