Back in March we had Dr Piper re-pipe the entire house, approx 4 bedroom 2400 sq ft. I wish I was proficient enough with writing a review to express how happy we were with their work (Peter, Radi and entire crew).

From dealing with our cats, one dog, to protecting our floors, to working with me on additional dry wall work outside of the plumbing, all done 100% professionally and quickly - always with a daily cleanup

A really fair price (after I did 4 quotes with other plumbers), and having no greater praise then when the inspectors from the county came out and stated that they had not seen a better plumbing job in recent years, this was the best!

Added bonus, an associate I work with is both of our friends, small world!

We found we had a slab leak and wanted to re-route water pipe. After getting a few estimates we went with Radi. He did a great job, and tried to make a little number of holes as possible.

He was punctual and was willing to work during hours outside of the M-F 9-5 time slots (for both  the estimate and the actual work).  Some other guys gave me a 2 hour time slot during an awkward time, just for the estimate.

Radi's estimates are also very reasonable compared to the other quotes I got.

Nobody wants to face a whole house repipe, but that's just the unavoidable situation we were in from a PEX system that was failing with leak after leak. We needed to entrust the copper replacement with someone that treated our house with the same care they'd treat their own, and that is EXACTLY what we got with Radi and his team. We had a few other plumbers scope the job, but nobody else gave us comfort and confidence. The minute that Radi walked in and started checking things out and answering our questions we could tell immediately he had the expert qualifications AND good-person qualities we sought for the task. No attitude, no smarmy sales tactics, no pressure...only talent and integrity were conveyed.

After a chaotic week of demoing walls and swapping out pipes, Radi and his team got our house happy and humming again, putting our PEX nightmare permanently in our past. Radi and his team were 100% timely, swift, respectful, friendly, organized, and just about every other positive adjective you can use for a home service team.

His pricing was absolutely fair for the quality and speed of work provided. We've read about other providers sneakily selling a repipe job at a really low quote, then adding in extra charges along the way to inflate the bill at the end by thousands of dollars. With Radi, the job ended up costing us exactly what was quoted, ZERO surprises, so for anybody looking for a plumbing team that does NOT do bait-and-switch price gouging, Radi is the honest and fair guru you are looking for.

My condo HOA was replacing all common area Quest plumbing with copper piping and encouraged all homeowners to replace the piping in their privately owned areas.  Based on a recommendation from a neighbor I called Doctor Piper.  Peter came out and looked at what needed to be done and gave me a written quote with the scope of work.  (Which included replacing all drywall cutouts, which not all companies will do and was not included with the company doing the common area for the HOA, they have to hire another company to come just to do that!)  They also included a shut-off valve for just my unit, previously if I needed the water turned off for any reason, it had to be turned off for the whole building.  They even put in a box behind the refrigerator so I could finally use the ice maker!  I accepted and they started the job just a few days later.  All during the project Peter showed me and clearly explained everything they were doing as they did it and made everything make sense to me.  Peter and his entire crew were polite, friendly, professional and very knowledgeable.  They finished repiping my entire condo in 2-1/2 days for exactly the amount they quoted.  I could not be more happy with the final work product and highly recommend Doctor Piper to anyone and everyone!

When i bought my house the main shutoff valve was inoperable. Hadn't had time to fix it until now. Unfortunately I hired a cheap craigslist plumber (uncertified) to try and replace the valve, but after a couple of days of work and hours of being in the house without water we finally made the call to Radi. He looked at the previous work like a third grader installed the new piping. Took just 30 minutes of work for Radi to replace all the piping and install new shutoff valve and pressure regulator. So amazed at how quick he had completed the job. Major lesson learned.

This is a great company!  I had my entire home re piped.  The first night they worked until very late to make sure I had a working bathroom for the next day.  They made sure there was minimal damage and they put all walls back in place.  You would never know the work was done.  I was very pleased with their professionalism and the quality of the work.

Dr. Piper donated work at my doctor's non- profit medical practice. He responded immediately and was so friendly and helpful! He is professional, honest and always completes the job on time. He worked around my doctor's busy practice. We are so thankful for his help as they now enjoy full access to all of their exam rooms because he fixed the sinks. Called to set up an appointment. I believe the owner answered. I explained that I had a leak in the shower. He asked the model and to send him a picture. I get a call back explaining how to simply fix it without any specialized tools. If I need anything more that i can't handle I'm calling this company. Thank you.

Of course it was late Friday afternoon . . . and I spoke to at least three other companies that would not come out to look at my (relatively) urgent involving a water pressure regulator leak that turned into a leak to the water shutoff valve for the house.  Peter took my call, came out and assessed the situation and showed up first thing Saturday morning to replace the regulator and fix the valve.  Solid work, reasonably priced.  Thank you Peter - you saved the day!

I'm so glad I found Dr Piper. A tub spout in the condo I just bought was leaking and I had no idea how to fix it. I got several outrageous quotes from other plumbers but the price Radi offered was very reasonable. He even suggested I contact my home warranty to have them repair it, even though he is not contracted through them. I thought that was very honest. The home warranty plumber had terrible Yelp reviews so I did not go with them. The repairs were super quick and now my tub spout is no longer leaking. Thank you!

I needed my La Jolla house completely re-piped from 25 year old plastic pipes to high-end copper pipes. Dr Piper had been recommended to us from a very satisfied neighbor who had a re-pipe done about five years earlier.  There was no immediate leak or other urgency except that we knew we needed the faulty plastic pipes out. Of the six bids that we solicited and explored, Dr Piper was well-priced but not the cheapest. We choose Radi because of (i) his confident, honest, and clear-thinking assessment of the overall job and (ii) the way that he approached and explained the re-pipe work (where the holes would be, how he would get to a couple of very challenging areas, etc) prior to his bid being accepted by me.  He was not afraid to tell us things we may not have wanted to hear. In the course of a week, Radi and his team were done. In short, the guys were impressive in their attitude and work ethic. They stayed late some nights in order to complete section(s) that were stopping points for water to be working in other areas of the house while the overall job was continuing the following day. They worked weekends and never said 'no' to any request. Separately, although it was not on my initial list, they advised on and then installed a new water filtration system as well as a Navien tankless water heater. Their team was pleasant throughout and their drywall guy makes walls look like brand new! I look forward to recommending Radi and George and the others to as many folks as I can. Radi's team just completed a whole house repipe with L grade copper and installation of a tankless water heater -  we couldn't be happier! His crew is a well-oiled machine that gets the job done quickly, but also takes their time to make sure it's done correctly. I was hesitant to spend the money on a tankless water heater but am now happy that I did. Luke warm showers are now hot within 15 seconds due to the unit they installed with the recirc system. It must be said that the City of San Diego inspection was a joke.  Not that the work needed to be inspected, but the inspector wasn't at all interested in inspecting the job. He walked around, made sure there were no leaks, asked if the system worked, and then left. Radi's crew offered to show him the attic where the pipes were ran, he declined - but left his number in case I have any issues. I'd call Radi if there were any issues before calling an inspector. Radi will tell you himself that he is not the cheapest, but he is also not the most expensive. He wants to keep the cost reasonable for the homeowner and still provide a top quality service. This is definitely a go-to plumber for anyone's needs.

Our kitchen complete renovation was not going to happen without the immediate reaction from Radi, which happen to be Dr Piper's owner. He acted right on and in two days our walls were rebuild and resurfaced. Did I mention he worked both days until midnight? I honestly cannot even dream of a better service. Highly recommending his company to anyone in need!

Working with a small window of time while our tenants were on vacation, Radi and crew completely repiped a large two story house. The plumbing work was first rate and the drywall repair and texture to match the existing was the best I've ever seen.  Highly recommend this company.

This is the company you want to do your repipe. Peter was very clear and professional when writing the estimate. He broke out the cost for optional work and sent a simple and easy to understand quote. Peter arranged city permit and inspections and all went to plan. Rudy and Alex showed up to do the work. They were on time, friendly and very skilled at their work. They worked clean and were very considerate making sure we had water every night before they left. They did great drywall patching and everything is ready for paint. It is nerve wracking to contract for a job this big but the Dr. Piper team did a great job for me.

Woke up to a slow main water leak.  After the insurance recommended plumber came out and located the leak in the slab I checked Yelp and DR PIPER looked good.  Called the number and a real person answered.  In fact it was Radi Mintchev, the man mentioned in most of these reviews.  I gave him a quick run down....he was in the middle of a job, and he agreed to meet me at the property the next day.  Radi was on-time.  Thank you.  We reviewed the situation and he gave me good information about fixing the leak and/or re-piping the main line.  His estimate was free.  

This is an old house and we were not sure if we had found the main shut off valve or not.  The valve was very corroded and no doubt would have failed if we had attempted to close it.  I recommended replacing it.  Radi gave me a good price and set to work.  In less than 20 minutes he was done.  We closed the new valve and the water to the house ceased to flow.  Finally, an important piece of information I could use to make a decision about what to do next.  This property is a two on one with pipes running everywhere.  I thanked Radi for his information and we parted ways.

Radi is a nice person to begin.  He was on time.  He was honest.  He was skilled.  The reason I did not have him fix the leak or re-pipe the main is because we only received so much money from the insurance company.  We decided to re-pipe the main and myself and several friends did a log of digging this last weekend.  We made several trips to HD for supplies...laid the pipe, installed a new pressure regulator and finally found the T connection connecting the back house to the main.  Mystery solved.

I would expect Radi to be nothing less than professional in all situations.  Give him a call for your next job.  I will.

We discovered a slab leak on Christmas Day, the 2nd pinhole in less than three years.  The idea of repiping was daunting, but after meeting with four different repipe companies, my husband and I decided to go with Radi at Dr. Piper.  Though he was not the least expensive, we felt most confident in his ability to do a quality job because he spoke to us extensively, educating us really, about all that we need to know about plumbing and pex vs. copper.  He gave us his recommendations and allowed us options to make the right decision for us.  Radi told us upfront that his crew was engaged with other projects for a couple of weeks, but upon us pushing to get the work done, he personally came out and got the project going himself.  What prompted me to hire him over others was that I felt he would take care of my home as if it was his own, using only quality parts that he would himself use.  I was not disappointed.  Radi went above and beyond; where other plumbing issues existed, he identified them and fixed or replaced the parts without charging me extra.  When all the work was completed, he and his team thoroughly cleaned up and disposed of all the mess.  Because of the extra work and attention Radi did, what I thought initially was a higher bid than some of the others that I'd gotten, after all said and done, I decided we got a better deal with Dr. Piper than we would have with anyone else!

We wanted to do whole house repiping and requested quotes from multiple service providers. Dr. Piper has stood apart from the day of my request. They were quick to visit home and providing us with the quote while others took some-time.
Further, Peter from Dr. Piper was in touch answering any questions on the quote and followed up through-out. This was the first positive experience and given their reasonable rates (sits in the middle of quote spectrum), we have finally decided to go with Dr. Piper.
The moment I have accepted the quote, Peter was quick in scheduling. The work started within 10 days. Dr. Piper crew is very personable and professional. Team ensured we have water through out in one or the other bathrooms. They have planned it meticulously and wrapped up everything within the timeline they have indicated.
Given our experience, I highly recommend Dr. Piper for whole-house re-piping.

I don't do a lot of reviewing, but Radi is a truly exceptional service provider.

After moving into our new (old) home we discovered that getting the right temperature from different faucets throughout the house was a challenge.  We had one plumber out multiple times with no success.  We called Radi who showed up, went straight to work and in a couple of hours the problem was resolved.  

Several weeks later when we discovered a wet wall, Radi took my call at midnight, let me know what to do (turn off the water) and was there the next morning to fix the issue (pipe with a pinhole leak).  

Today we had a leak under the sink.  Radi couldn't be here but he sent George, who after a full day of work was obviously tired, but he had a big smile on his face as he fixed what turned out to be a minor issue... for no charge!  Who does that?!?!  

These guys have my trust and my deep appreciation.  Thanks Radi!

Can't say enough good things about Radi.  Needless to say, having someone cut holes all over your house to repipe is a scary experience, but Radi made sure to walk us through every step in the process.  His crew was hard working and polite and made sure that we had water at the end of everyday.  Unlike most plumbers that don't do drywall, Radi's crew closed up every access hole in the drywall and retextured everything so it was like there were never there.  Do yourself a favor and if you ever need to repipe (and I hope you don't) make sure that you give Dr. Piper (Radi) a call.  You will be glad you did.

I called dr piper and believe I spoke with Radi. He was so extremely helpful!! Highly recommend! I had a tricky situation with my condo and after talking with him for a couple of minutes he advised me on the situation, asked me to send him a picture and got right back to me with an estimate and helpful hits to try first! Saved me a ton of time and money!! I spoke with several plumbers before calling him and he was by far the most informative and had excellent customer service. I will definitely give him a call with all my plumbing needs from now on.

My wife and I called Radi around 6:30 at night in dire need of a plumber to come out that same night and give us an estimate on repiping the entire house. Our house had a slab leak, we had been denied coverage by the insurance company(AAA) and the first plumber we had hired didn't want to put anything in writting and started to flip-flop on his previous statements after I insisted we put everything into a contract.

Radi came out that same night and took a look at what was involved, gave us a quote in writting on the spot and we hired him. During the course of the project we found that the old cast iron drain lines were cracked and had been hastily patched by the previous owner with silicone, cement and expanding foam... Radi gave us a very fair quote to do this work also and in just a few days we had all new copper pipe throughout the house, and new ABS drain lines.

Radi was upfront and accommodating throughout the project, and on a couple of occasions stayed late into the night to finish what he was working on. He's a very hard worker, an honest professional and a really nice guy. Do yourself and/or your family a favor and hire him to do all your plumbing!

Radi, Peter, Alex, and the rest of their team did an excellent job with the re-piping and drywalling of our home. We could not believe how quickly they completed this job in just three days. They were punctual, arriving every day at 9:00 am (the time was per our request). They always told us what they would be working on every day. They were very friendly, polite, and respectful. My Realtor contacted Dr Piper to get an estimate on Monday morning, before 10:00 Radi and Tusha were in my condo ready to find the problem, (Cold water pressure in the master bathroom) they tried all the possibilities to find the problem. Around 11:00 they were ready to work, at 3:00 pm problem was resolved and work was completed.  AMAZING. I am so pleased to say that Radi and Tusha did above and beyond service. Plus these guys did the patching and texturing the wall. WOW what a guys. From now on Radi will be my plumber. Thank you Radi and Tusha you guys are the best !!!

Excellent work from the time they did the estimate all the way to the final inspection.  Radi and Peter were very responsive and provided great info about different types of pipes and my options.  They provided a complete and thorough estimate.  They moved up the scheduled repiping job a week ahead of time so I was able to get the work done sooner than expected.

They repiped my whole house and all the work was completed on time. The team (Rudy and Alex?) covered the floors, walls and furniture for protection, in addition to moving appliances.  My family and I were able to stay in the house while the work was being done, as they made sure to keep at least one bathroom available for use (toilet and shower).  They were professional, friendly, considerate and respectful, constantly giving us updates.  I was very pleased with the overall work.

There's a reason some companies get 5-star ratings and Dr Piper truly deserves it.  After 5 pinhole leaks in our copper piping (flooding our family room, garage and ruining drywall ceilings), we decided to get our house re-piped. Obtained several quotes from plumbing companies along with Dr. Piper's.  In the end we felt it best to go with Dr. Pipe because this is their specialty.  
A crew of two (Stefan and Simon) showed up on time and worked through each day for the entire re-pipe project from protecting areas with plastic, covering the floors, cutting out the drywall to access the pipes, installing new copper from the water main to all fixtures and patching/texturing the drywall. These guys worked exceptionally hard each day and cleaned up each night before leaving (true professionals).  I've had many contractors work on our house and there always seemed to be something; but with Stefan and Simon, there was absolutely nothing.  They were very polite and everything was of exceptional quality. Absolutely no issues throughout the project.
These guys really know what they are doing and because of it we can go on with life without worrying about when/where the next leak will be.
I very rarely post online reviews but a company like this deserves recognition because of the quality work they do.  I highly recommend them for a re-pipe project.  A huge thank you to Stefan, Simon, Peter and Radi!

Dr. Piper is legit. The re-pipe was insanely efficient (the water was only off for one day) and the drywall work was very good. They were very conscientious about cleanliness as well. We also paid for them to re-do a bathroom since it made sense and their attention to detail was impressive. The tile work was awesome. These guys really know what they're doing. Can't recommend enough.

Showed up on time, takes pride in his work and cleaned up after himself. Very knowledgeable! We had a tankless hot water heater replaced and Radi totally went above and beyond. For example, we had an existing exhaust pipe that would have been crooked with the new heater--it didn't matter in terms of how the heater would have worked--however, he cut a new hole in the ceiling, making the pipe straight, then mudded the hole back up for a nice, clean look. He also took the time to clean up a wall full of old pipes that was around the heater. We called out three different plumbers and immediately knew that Radi was the most qualified of all of them to do the job and we were completely happy with our decision to use him. Would feel comfortable recommending to family and friends so feel comfortable recommending him to all of you.

My condo had Quest plumbing and our HOA decided to change all common area piping to copper piping and they recommended all homeowners do the same with their privately owned plumbing.  I contacted Doctor Piper based on a neighbor's recommendation.  Peter and his crew were quick, polite and professional and they did an excellent job.  I would highly recommend Doctor Piper to everyone!

After a decade of procrastination I finally felt confident to have found a plumbing company that I could trust with the re-piping of my 29-year old house. The new pipes had to be routed to 19 outlets. Back in May, Radi's three-man crew worked diligently and conscientiously ten-hour days Monday through Friday and left me with a completed project that has restored my faith in the existence of good workmanship!  Do I need to say more?

My tenant called me and told me there was a leak somewhere in the house.  Their latest water bill was 3x the normal amount.  We took a look at the water meter and the blue dial was still spinning even though no water was turned on in the house.  

Since there was no visible leak in the house I hired a leak detection company to investigate.  It turns out to be a slab leak underneath the master tub.  I had Radi come in to seal and reroute the pipe.  He was able to come the same day to cut and seal the leaky pipe.  He came back next day to finish the pipe reroute.  Excellent work and did good job patching the walls he had to open to gain access to the pipes.  

Pricing was reasonable.

I would definitely recommend.

I am considering having him do whole house repipe in the future.

Radi is the best! This is my first Yelp review ever but I signed up because I felt so strongly about the great service I received. I was in a huge bind tonight. I have company coming to visit tomorrow and my kitchen sink was clogged. After many attempts to unclog it ourselves, I started searching the Internet. Either no answer, voicemails, unavailable tonight or extremely overpriced is what I was encountering. I finally Yelped and found Radi. He picked up right away. He said he had a few other clients tonight but was nice enough to find some phone numbers to refer me to. I thanked him and told him about the bind I was in and he said that if I couldn't find anyone else he would try to help me. I called around more but no luck. I called Radi back and he said he would be by in one hour. He texted me to let me know when he was on his way. He was very nice and got the job done even though it was challenging (old house and old pipes). He was working hard for an hour and a half, got the drain clear and charged me half of what I was quoted from other companies. This guy is a hard working, honest guy who is not trying to get over on people and actually came to help me. I wish there were more people out here like him. If you need a plumber for anything, don't hesitate to call Radi. Great plumber! Great guy!

Radi the owner is a hard working business man-Especially for the Big Jobs. He came to my home for a complete re-pipe estimate all prepared with booties on since we dont wear shoes inside. He also wore a mask when he was around me since I am one of the high risk groups with the Corona virus scare. I chose him out of many because he knows his trade and provides quality products like the Best Copper pipes which I wanted. He didnt try to talk me into the pex piping-He is upfront, friendly and caring. He wrote everything up that he was going to do with pipe types, warranty and even a required permit which I needed. One company didnt want to get the permit so I  Iost
trust and chose him instead. He gets busy for follow up issues because he is in high demand so get him while you can because He is Honest and trustworthy.

We were on our fourth pipe leak in less than 18 months, so we decided to repipe the entire house and replace our old water heater with a tankless water heater. We were not impressed with any of our previous plumbers. I called Dr Piper and Radi was very responsive and quickly sent a technician out to assess the problem and provide an estimate. Radi and his crew are honest and work extremely hard. They were sensitive to the fact that we were still living in our house through the construction/plumbing. We have 3 young children and two dogs and the crew was polite, professional, and conscientious at all times, they felt like part of the family. I would highly recommend Radi and his crew at Dr Piper to anyone that has plumbing needs. They are experts and take pride in their work.

Radi did a superb job with a full copper repipe of my 41 year old house in Del Mar 4 years ago (see my previous review), and I was thrilled when he was available to check out a new leak inside my garage wall last Friday. He came over immediately (Friday night at 6:30) He wound up making two small drywall cuts, one in the garage where the drywall was wet, and one above it in our living room. He knows where to cut, so no unnecessary holes. He found a leaking glued joint in 3 PVC drain pipe (old houses settle...), repaired it, and patched and textured the drywall so perfectly that it doesn't need painting! I remember the same after the repipe, where half of the drywall in the house had been opened - I did not need to call a painter when he was finished. Left the garage clean. Reasonable, reliable, pleasant - highest recommendation.

Just wanted to add to this review. I ended up calling Radi for a different issue at my mom's place because I was so impressed with his efficiency and honesty with the faucet. A week later, there was a huge backup in the kitchen sink and disposal that was beyond my ability to fix. So I called Dr. Piper again and he came out the next day and despite it being a VERY messy situation, had the issue fixed in under 30 minutes and also did preventative work to prevent hopefully future issues. I know there are a lot of plumbers out there, and some are very good, but I know it's also hard to find an honest, efficient, thorough, and very reliable plumber. I have his number now on my cell phone and for any of my friends and family's plumbing needs, Radi is going to be my go to.

Radi is hands down the best. The most honest, kind, and dependable there is. When I detected what I thought was a potential shower leak, Radi came by my house the same day to have a look and provide an honest assessment. He was transparent and warned me of potential upsells from other companies. He was also very available to answer texts and phone calls for any questions that I had regarding the job. He fixed my shower drain, installed new shower fixtures, redid my drywall, and installed a new toilet wax ring. He's also super personable and an all around good guy. Highly recommended!

I recently had a total home re-pipe job. I received several estimates. I chose Dr. Piper because of the affordable quote but most of all their professionalism during the estimating process and their favorable review on Yelp.

Radi and his team were on time every day, gave me daily progress updates, worked extremely hard, took on addition work requests from me and kept the water running when we got home from work for the day. I also liked their drywall work. Even though they don't do re-paint jobs their drywall was so good there was no need to get it re-painted right away.

I highly recommend Dr. Piper for any re-pipe work, the job couldn't have gone any better.

After having several pinhole leaks in our copper water pipes recently, I decided to look into having the whole house repiped. I contacted a handful of repipe companies, all who get excellent reviews in San Diego, including Dr Piper. Peter from Dr Piper came out to hear all of our requirements and carefully look over our large house to give an accurate estimate. It was evident as he walked through the house that he had a very good handle on what needed to be done. A few days later Radi came out to verify a couple of Peter's assumptions. Their bid came in pretty much in the middle of the pack of the five repipe companies that we had asked to bid. Their knowledge of the ideas that we had on how we wanted things done was right on point, leading us to go with them. Radi was the lead on our project. As he and his team cut holes in the walls to install and repair copper pipes and fixtures, they carefully cut the holes in rectangular shapes so that drywall and stucco repair would go smoothly at the end (it did). The team covered floors with drop cloths, and even created plastic sheeted partitions floor-to-ceiling to keep any dust confined to the small work area. Their precision techniques to minimize cutting into tile while successfully installing new copper behind shower valves showed their years of successful experience. As I looked at the copper pipes that they put in the walls and attic my first thought was, these guys aren't plumbers, they're craftsmen. So true. Their pipes looked like precision workmanship in the walls. Watching the crew do soldering was also an opportunity to see craftsmen at work. Their joints are all perfectly soldered, looking as if they were each done by a machine. They added a Navien tankless water heater perfectly, and their repiping included instant-hot returns. At night we always had both hot and cold water (and were rarely without either during the day). And when they were finished with all the piping, their drywall and stucco and painting subcontractor came out and returned everything to its original state. Their schedule estimate was right on the nose. The perfect job, resulting in showers with hot water quickly, and the end of worrying about water leaks.

I can't recommend Radi and his team enough. They're excellent at what they do, and have an honest, trustworthy, and friendly attitude throughout the job. Their excellent reviews are all true. They have an integrity that makes you grateful that you found them to do foundational work on your home.

Radi and this company were given the contract to my old condo complex to replace all units plumbing with copper rather than pvc (due to numerous breakages).  he did a fantastic job - crew was polite, accommodating, respectful to my home, and knowledgable.  i started a remodel at the same time, so had him put all of the new sinks, toilets, fixtures in while he was there.  i ended up giving him the code to get into my condo while i was at work, and never thought twice about it.  his crew was completely trustworthy and completed all of the work perfectly.
a year or so later, i called Radi back to do a complete master remodel.  he put in new tiled shower with rain shower head, 6 1/2 foot beveled glass sliding doors, and a new hand shower.  it was gorgeous!  my husband, who is 6'4, was able to step in and out of the shower without ducking under the door frame.  and the rain showerhead was from almost the ceiling, so he actually took a shower from under the water without again ducking.  the tile crew was especially detail oriented about how the tile was cut and where it ended vs the shower door, the pattern, etc.  it was exactly as i had drawn it.
we had a second house that we had rented out that had a leak.  i called Radi with an address. he went to the house, checked it out, repaired the small leak, and billed me.  i never even had to show up.   I cannot say enough about how trustworthy and fair this crew is, and about how dependable their work is.  love them!

After two slab leaks within a month of moving into our older home, we decided to prevent further damage by repiping our whole house.  Peter was our sales rep and he was pleasant, honest, easily accessible, checked in with us frequently.  Stefan and his sons were on time, polite, professional, hard working late into the night to always ensure that we had water at the end of the day.  It was a big project and it took them more than 10 hours a day for a week to complete.  There was never a complaint.  They cleaned up after every work day and left our home spotless at the end of the job.  All the other companies could not figure out how to reconfigure/ repipe our kitchen, but Dr Piper took on the challenge and the problem was solved!  They are not the cheapest but not the most expensive either.  We are super happy with their service and would recommend Dr Piper without hesitation to friends and family

We had a flood from a leak in our quest pipes and we needed to repipe our house with copper. I went with Radi because his bid was reasonable and they seemed very experienced with repiping. I couldn't be happier with the whole process from start to finish.

The guys showed up everyday and worked the entire day to get the whole house done in less then 3 days, which was much faster than I expected since we have a two story house. Everyone was friendly, efficient and beyond professional. I felt at ease having them in my home. I was amazed at how clean and organized they were in the house during the three days. Every night they cleaned and organized their tools in the garage and not all over the house(if you have ever been around construction you'll know rare this is).They hung plastic everywhere as well as drop clothes even on my concrete floors (due to the flood) to cut down on dust going throughout the rest of the house.The patch job looked great. Radi was so professional and checked in everyday to make sure everything was going smoothly, and to thank me for my business.

I'm so impressed with their quality of work and professionalism that I will have them back for all my plumbing needs. I have a couple things lined up already. I would highly recommend Radi and his crew to anyone.

We had our regular plumber come out to troubleshoot a leak coming from the ceiling in our half bathroom. He cut out 14 of the copper pipe that had a pinhole leak with spots of corrosion on the inside of the pipe. He took photos of other pipes in the attic and said many of the pipes had deteriorated and we would continue to have leaks. He suggested that we consider repiping our house. Our house is 51 years old with M grade copper pipe that usually lasts 50 years. He said that our house would look like Swiss cheese when the repipe was done and that we would also need a drywall person to finish the job.

After doing some research we found out that there are plumbers who specialize in repiping. We read reviews on Yelp and had 5 companies to consider. We ended up contracting with Dr. Piper for a number of reasons.

We had a consultation with Peter and found him to be very honest, even to the point of advising us to do your homework on the company that we chose.

Peter told us that Dr. Piper does all of their contracted work; they never subcontract any of their repiping. He cautioned us about any company that recommended a PEX system because it is more economical.

Peter told us about the pros and cons of a PEX repipe, which is what we thought we could afford. Because most of our plumbing pipes are in the attic he said there could be the risk of rodents getting in to chew through the PEX to get to water.

We then realized that PEX was not an option for us and we were dreading the price tag on a repipe with copper. Peter told us it might be an additional $2000 to have copper instead of PEX. We had been told by another company that copper could be twice the cost of PEX, totaling $20,000!

There was no question that we would go with a copper repipe with the higher quality L grade copper. We now have peace of mind that we won't have continual leaks, and we have added value to our home when it is sold.

We have a slump stone brick house and Peter pointed out that it could be problematic to repipe the kitchen without having to demo some of the brick and possibly have a pipe on the outside of our house.

Todor, Dr. Piper's main plumber for our repiping job, was able to figure out how the original plumbing was installed in the kitchen through existing openings in the brick. Todor, and the owner, Radi, worked extremely hard in dealing with the challenges they encountered with the kitchen repipe.

Our repipe took a full 5 days, due to the complexity of dealing with our brick house. Todor came back the next day to patch and plaster all the drywall. He did an excellent job with the drywall, making it ready to be painted.

The following evening we noticed that we had low pressure in both of our showers and that one shower had the hot and cold water on the reverse sides. We texted Peter, and he asked if Todor could come over to check it out. We were happy that he didn't mind coming over after hours to assess the situation. Within minutes Todor was able to increase the water pressure in the house. He took the cover off the handle in the shower and switched the hot and cold to the correct positions. This is customer service that goes above and beyond.

Todor was punctual, arriving everyday by 8:30. He always told us what he would be working on that day and what he would accomplish by the end of the day. There were no surprises, and he was very respectful of us and our home.

My husband and I feel like we have learned so much about the plumbing in our house thanks to Todor, Peter and Radi. So, like Peter told us, do your homework, and if you do, I believe that you will come to the same conclusion that we did. Dr. Piper is simply the best.

I found this company after searching high and low on the internet and After having our 3rd leak from our old piping system, I called Radi to see if he'd on honor our quote from almost a year ago.. which was very competitive. he did! Stefan and his crew were able to start the next day and made the whole process seamless. They were able to work around all the other equipment  (drying fans, sectioned off) and kept it extremely professional. Answering any concerns I had and they cleaned up like they were never there. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering a repipe. Thanks again fellas!

Sort Version:  Re-piping due to slab leak. Also got tankless water heater and whole house filter and conditioner. Several estimates. A little concerned by Radi's and George's 'we'll take care of it ... we'll do it right ... don't worry communication compared to some others. So we called them back for details, and they spent all the time we needed to go over every step and every hole in the wall. They were right: the did it very well in exactly the way they said the would. They took extra steps they didn't promise or have to in order to make sure things were aesthetically pleasing, and it was fast. Happy we chose them. Have recommended to friends.

A couple worth reading examples:
1)    For the showers (valves), others said that they would have to cut a bigger hole in the tile and use an oversized retro work cover plate (ugly) or get a tiler in to redo some tile. Radi said No, you won't have to do that. We'll do it through the existing hole. Others said no way. So, we were skeptical of Radi's answer. And ... they did exactly what they said. The re-piped the valve with no expansion of the hole. I looked at every step and too pictures. Awesome! No ugly mega cover plates.

2)     We just renovated the kitchen and were not keen on pulling out the new wall cabinets that were trim scribed to the ceiling. Others said no option or cut into the outside wall for 8 feet (house is not stucco). Radi said, we'll work it out, and they did with no cabinet removal and no outside work.

Repiping, tankless water heater, and whole house filter and conditioner, but never out of water at night at any fixture! On top of that, the guys were really friendly. Sat with them having a beer at the end of the day one day.

You should go with them.

Late last year, I was told by my insurance company that they wouldn't renew my homeowners policy if I didn't repipe my house to bypass the pipes in the concrete foundation that had sprung two leaks in the past three years -- a very scary and expensive proposition. One contractor shook his head as he toured my 3200 sq. ft. place, noting that its size and complex layout would make a repipe very expensive. He didn't even want to quote the job. But he did me a solid and recommended Radi Mintchev's Doctor Piper service.

Cool Thing #1: Radi showed up, was personable and knowledgeable, and promptly sent me a very reasonable quote. I gave him the job the next day. Unfortunately, just over a week before he was to begin, we had an illness in the family and I had to call and ask him to postpone the estimated 10-day project. He was extremely cool and flexible about it, and seemed more concerned about my sick family member than the colossal inconvenience to him.

Cool Thing #2: We rescheduled for June. He and his crew showed up on time and spent the first day systematically covering the floors and walls with protective plastic sheeting. The next day they got down to business, moving furniture, opening up walls and ceilings, and installing new high-grade copper pipes. They worked long and hard for several days, each day making sure I was updated on the job's progress. Several times, I was impressed at Radi and his crew's innovative solutions for some of the thorny plumbing obstacles my house presented. And Radi doesn't just supervise -- he gets as dirty as the rest of the crew. These guys work together like a good-humored, well-oiled machine, and they finished a few days ahead of schedule.

Cool Thing #3: As a layperson, I know next-to-zip about plumbing, but I had a very good feeling about the work they were doing. For instance, they cut the drywall out in tight, numbered rectangles that allowed them to repair the holes perfectly and efficiently. But the good vibes were clinched near the end of the project when the building inspector arrived to approve their work before they closed up the walls. He made a point to tell me that Doctor Piper is the only company he carries business cards for, in case he's asked for a recommendation. Then he showed me two examples of the extra care they take. Plastic insulators were installed on both sides of each 16-inch separated wall stud where pipes went through them, and he said they're only required to install them every four feet. And he pointed out that the pipes had been polished to minimize water noise. His enthusiasm about Doctor Piper was striking and reaffirming.

Bottom line: A very grateful and happy customer!

I just recently had my 2nd slab leak in two years and decided it was time to bite the bullet and re-pipe the house.  After getting bids for the project I settled on Dr. Piper because their price was very fair for a copper re-pipe. I called Peter on a Thursday and he scheduled the project to begin the next Monday.  Rudy and Alex showed up on time, they were very nice and respectful, and they took great care in minimizing the mess.  Took them two days to complete the project and on the 2nd day they were cleaning up and ready to go home when my VERY old water heater started to leak!  They called Rabi who gave me a good price on a 40 gal. water heater and Rudy went out and bought it while Alex removed the old one and they were at my house until 8:00 in the evening installing it for me.  On the third day it was wall repair day.  They did an expert job and once I painted you can't even tell there were holes in the walls!  I am very pleased with the job they did and highly recommend their services.

Their service was great!

First of all, Radi was very responsive and it was easy to set up an appointment.

Stefan and Todor were on time and ready-to-go for my toilet installations. But at the time they arrived, the new toilets (from somewhere else that messed up) had not yet been delivered! They were very patient about waiting for the toilets to arrive to even start the job. Then, a few more unexpected complications came up with the house and it ended up that we needed to shut off water to the whole complex in order for them to finish the job!

Fortunately for me, they were very patient and tried to continue the job while we scrambled to get HOA and neighbor approval to shut off the water. As soon as the water was shut off, they quickly fixed a valve and finished the job.

Even as a bonus, it was rainy weather and my mom had set out some rags in front of the front door to wipe her shoes off before entering the house. Without even being asked to, Stefan and Todor were wiping their shoes on the rags before walking in. It was very considerate and well appreciated!

Don't bother with any other company- just call Dr Piper!!  Just days before Labor Day Weekend our five year old tankless water heater stopped working. The search for repairs started, but turned into a search for a new WH. Several companies didn't even bother to come out and the ones that did, didn't even bother to open up our water heater to see what was wrong. They just wanted us to buy a new water heater, which they couldn't install until after the holiday weekend. Then a friend suggested we contact Radi Mintchev at Dr Piper. He came over and immediately opened up the WH to see if he could fix it. He found the problem, said he could call around to see if he could find a replacement part, But wasn't sure any could be found since the company had gone under. He didn't charge us for the hour of work! Radi quoted a price for a new water heater, lower than the other companies we contacted. He didn't want us to go without hot water so he offered to get it done for us the next day. Radi came at 11 this morning and was here for several hours installing our new water heater, fixing pipes and other problems from the previous install. When he left, our garage was cleaner than it was before, and we had hot water!! I would highly recommend Dr Piper! Radi was so helpful, took pride in his work, and his prices were very reasonable! Thank you Radi for the quality work, AND for hot water!!

Our experience with Radi and his team is in line with all of these other glowing reviews.  The house that we bought had old pipes that over the course of the first year of ownership had 4 leaks in the garage alone. In order to not worry about potential problems in areas that I cannot see, i went ahead and got some quotes to repipe the house and also get a new water heater.  Radi's quote was a very competitive quote, notably it was the only quote that included dry wall.  
We selected Radi and his team for the job.  
A couple of things that i really liked about going with Dr. Piper were as follows, Radi, as the owner, not only came out to do the quote, but he was on the job site doing a huge portion of the work.  His team is all in-house, he does not subcontract.
Radi is very responsive, punctual, professional, and transparent.  there were no surprises with Radi.  
Be ready to move fast with these guys.  Repiping is a big job; it was bigger (more invasive; has bigger holes in my walls) than i expected. But that's probably because i have no experience with this.  But the way that they did it, made it so that everything was contained and they were so fast that the inconvenience was minimal.
Radi worked with us on scheduling so that it was convenient for us.  
The job started on Tuesday morning, and in essence was completed thursday night.  Friday was reserved for final walk through and inspection.  our house is a one story, needed plumbing to 2 bathrooms, kitchen, laundry, and 2 outdoor hose bibs.  The job included drywall and texture.  We painted ourselves on saturday, and had everything back to the original configuration by saturday evening.
After pulling the old pipes out and seeing the condition of them, i'm so glad that we had this done and did not wait any longer.  And i'm glad that we went with Dr. Piper.
It's rare to see a team work so hard to meet the schedule, and do it with such a good attitude, and quality.
Radi's approach to customer service is held by his team members as well.  they were all very polite, and very respectful of our home.  they cleaned up perfectly after the job as well.  the house was cleaner when they were done than what i gave them to start.  they dotted all of their i's and crossed all t's.  
the water situation in our house makes it feel like a new house all together.  much better water pressure, hot water comes in faster and hotter, but most importantly, we can sleep well at night not worrying that we'll have a busted pipe over our heads.  
Without hesitation, i HIGHLY recommend Dr. piper for your re-piping needs!

Look no further - Radi and Dr. Piper is the only company for a house repipe. I had a slab leak, and had received crazy quotes from others. Luckily, I can across Dr. Piper through a google/yelp search. Radi reached out to me within 30 minutes, and was in constant communication throughout the process. He was able to start the job within a few days, and completed an entire house repipe in a few days as well. His quality was second to none, and his prices were much more reasonable than the larger plumbing companies.

Radi and his team are incredibly hard workers, and very thorough. I'm extremely happy with the work they did, and am fortunate to have stumbled across them. The guys were great to work with, very kind to my family, and treated our house as if it was their own.

I had a slab leak and needed help.  Could have just bypassed the leak, but decided it was an investment to re-pipe the whole house.  Got a bid from a large company that only uses PEX.  Could not find independent evidence that PEX was safe so I called Dr Piper for a quote using tried and true copper.  Response time was quick and I had an estimate in hand the next day.  Price was more expensive than PEX, but I felt it was fair and reasonable (Copper is much more expensive material than plastic tubing; and coppers rigid nature makes it more difficult to install as each angle-bend in the pipe has to be soldered, whereas PEX is a bendy kind of tubing.  These differences are reflected in the price)

They sent two plumbers out.  Friendly guys who worked very, very hard.  Took them three days.  Re-piping is a bit inconvenient, with water being on and off.  We all did the best we could with it.

The plumbers were terrific.  I noticed little things, like replacing a 90 degree elbow with 2 45 degree elbows (this helps maintain water pressure with a softer curve) that were a testament to quality.  They actually took something that was there, looked at it, and said: that could be better.  They made it better.  I was having water pressure issues in on shower.  It was a problem with the valve.   They said that if I bought the new valve (with fixtures at Home Depot) they would install it for me No Problem.  They already had the wall opened up, so the soldered in the new valve and fixture.  Water pressure problem solved.  This was definitely going above and beyond.  They even had to Undo some of the work they had already completed to make it happen.  This took them about 30 minutes, but it was not part of their job.  But same thing, they said: we can make this better and they did.  Water pressure in that shower has never been so good!

So I'm not a plumber, but it's those little things that made we believe that they did high quality work.  They did not cut corners were they easily could have.  Instead they took the time and effort to do it right.

They patched all the walls and did a nice job with the texture, including a hole they did not open (the guy from the leak detection company did that one).  They do not paint, but they tell you up front.  I painted all the surfaces.  Their texture work was pretty good.  I was impressed, knowing how hard it is to match.  They also did a great job of minimizing hole size and picking less obvious locations.  I doubt anyone walking through the house would ever notice. Great work.  

They also cleaned up after themselves.  

I think a lot of reviews allude to old world craftsmanship and service.  A business owner that delivers high quality work and good customer service at a fair price.  It's EXACTLY what you want from every business transaction you engage in.  It's what I got.  I would highly recommend.

We bought a ~50 year old home and had a leak our very first day.  I decided to do a full repipe rather than fix issues as they arose.   After getting several quotes, we went ahead with Dr. Piper since his quote was very competitive and he had photos on Yelp of himself with his many satisfied customers.  We are so happy with our decision.  We were so impressed with every facet of the work.  The high quality, the attention to detail, how nicely he cleaned up and even how well the drywall texture matched at the end.  From start to finish, everything was performed to our complete satisfaction.  Radi and his team are plumbing artists!!!  Thanks Dr. Piper!!!

Radi responded to me the day prior and offered to come out after business hours or before I opened. Long story short, he came out early this morning before my business opened and repiped a wash sink I had and installed a new p-trap assembly. We had sewer smells coming up out of the sink for about a year. He made the transition quick and easily. Very fair priced. Very clean work & clean-up. I respect honesty, and this is a very hard working businessman. I will definitely be calling him for any future plumbing work. He even helped me go through a list of tank less water heaters to purchase and verbally told me how to install it.

I had a water leak in the leaving room and I was in need of a house re-piping. Radi came highly recommended from a friend who had a similar issue and he totally met all my expectations. He is very responsive and a super nice guy. He and his guys were able to do the whole house re-piping in 1 week and now I can barely tell at some point there were 58 holes in my house. We had our whole house repiped and had a tankless water heater installed. As a licensed Architect who works for a large Design/Build General Contractor, I was very impressed with this company. They were eager to come and provide us with a quote, when other plumbers never showed up, cancelled, and never followed through with a quote. They followed up with us in a timely manner and answered all of our questions. Radi and Rudy were extremely pleasant. They worked long hours and made sure that the day they turned off the water that we had a bathroom up and running before they left. Is Dr. Piper REALLY as good as the other reviewers indicate? Very simply, YES!

When we discovered we needed a full re-pipe of our home I found Dr. Piper on Yelp and requested a quote through the app at 11:20pm at night. No joke, less than 5 seconds later my phone rings and it's Radi. After jumping out of bed and running down the hall to avoid waking up the wife and kids I gave him a few details about my home and we arranged a time to come over the next evening (again, after hours to fit my schedule).

After explaining his services in detail and providing an estimate on the spot we chose to go with Dr. Piper because:

1) We wanted copper, and he uses only the thicker type-L copper, not the thin cheap type-M copper you get at the big box stores.

2) He is the only plumber we found that patches their own drywall holes and textures them (quite flawlessly I might add - even the popcorn ceiling)

3) The expansion tank that others didn't even mention or want to charge extra for was included in the price.

4) Everything is installed per current plumbing code and he gets all required city inspections along the way. Everything is done on the up & up.

5) Dr. Piper's estimate was not the lowest or highest, but was very competitive for the services he's providing.

As soon as I saw the first section of pipe meticulously routed through the ceiling joists I knew I had made the right choice. And his crew worked long days and got the job done in slightly less time than Radi estimated up front.

After dealing with some hack plumbers in the past I can safely say I've now found my go to plumber for life.

Radi and his crew were fantastic- they showed up when they said they would, did what they said they would, for the price they said they would- very unusual, in my experience! This was a re-pipe for my business, and I have 2 apartments above my office.  The tenants were only without water for a portion of 1 day, and I only had to close down for 1 day.  They worked weekends and evenings to keep my business up and running, and cleaned up after themselves so that business could proceed each day- and are really, really nice people, on top of it all!     MY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION!

This was our second slab leak and knowing what our neighbors went through we decided to go with a complete re-pipe.  I called around to some of the big-name outfits as well as Dr. Piper (found on Yelp).  Radi was the first to call back and the first to visit our house and give an estimate.  The other guys took their time and I had to schedule around them.  After getting the quotes and discussing the job we decided on Dr. Piper.  He wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive but after he described how he was going to re-pipe, add an expansion tank, replace the pressure regulator, handle the city permits AND give a start time and duration, we decided to go with them.  

His crew showed up on time and finished on time.  I couldn't be happier with the outcome.  They kept the holes in the walls to a minimum and the work was quality (no sloppy solder joints, used pipe hangers, added pipe insulation, replaced all the valves,etc.).  They put up plastic to contain the dust as much as possible and were very good about cleaning up at the end of the day.  After the city inspection all of the holes were patched and textured.  

Having your house re-piped is very intrusive and a big job.  Radi and his crew kept the disruption to a minimum.   I would recommend Dr. Piper to any of my friends or family if they ever needed plumbing or re-piping.

I've had leaks every three to six months and the last one at the end of Janurary destroyed our kitchen. Since we had to remodel the kitchen and replace all the downstairs flooring, we decided to repipe first. I received numerous quotes, but the quote from Radi was the most complete and thorough quote I received from six quotes. With Dr. Piper repiping your house, you can go Type L copper or pex. We went for the copper. All new valves, boxes, pressure regulator, thermal expansion tank and more are included! They also do the drywall repair, texture and take care of the permits.

I cannot stress enough how great Radi and the rest of the Dr Piper crew are. Extremely professional and friendly. You will get warm fuzzies with them working at your house. The work is outstanding. From the repiping to the patch work, which is outstanding and surpasses people who just do drywall repair. I have a two story house and it took just three days from repiping to the patchwork! They are extremely hard workers and basically work nonstop.

Repiping is already stressful, especially when you have to remodel after it. I am so happy that this went smoothly and was not stressful at all. I now have peace of mind that I will not have another leak for a very long time. If you want peace of mind, excellent workmanship and the best possible repiping experience you can get then I suggest you get a quote from Dr Piper. In the end all you have to do is just add paint!

Now that we are in the middle of remodeling and decided to change the fixtures in two other showers, I just might have to call them again about installing the new valves. ;)

We recently had a full repipe done by Radi and we could not be more pleased.  Having never had this done before, we were understandably stressed about it but the whole process went like clockwork and was handled beautifully.   We really feel that we made the right choice by hiring Radi and his crew.   Everyone was polite and considerate and they worked SO hard to get everything done in a very timely manner. Radi definitely has that work ethic that isn't always easy to find these days.  He is an incredibly hard worker.

We chose copper piping and Radi uses type L, which is the best.  Everything was included in the estimate that we were given on the spot and communication back and forth all went smoothly.  Something else that we really liked is that EVERYTHING was included and handled by Radi from setting up the city inspections to repair and finishing of drywall.  By the way, the finished drywall work is absolutely fantastic.  

We feel we got a fair price and excellent work in return.   We highly recommend Radi and his crew!!

We had to replace all the piping in the house because of a leak in the slab under one of the bathrooms. Radi came out to give an estimate and explain the process. The next morning, he and his crew arrived on time, introduced themselves and started working. When we got home at 8 pm, the crew was packing up and...ALL the pipes in the house have been replaced. I couldn't believe that they were able to install brand new copper piping throughout the house in just one day! The next day, they came back and, after an inspection, patched all the drywall, sprayed the texture, and cleaned up all the debris. I am so grateful to Radi and his crew for doing a great job and also for finishing it so quickly. We got our house back (with all new piping!) in just two days!

I bought a condo in San Diego while living in the bay area. I knew I needed a new water heater and wasn't sure if I wanted a tankless one or not. I read so many great reviews on Dr. Piper so I gave them a call. I spoke with Radi who was incredibly nice and patient with me on the phone. We must have talked for at least 20 to 30 minutes. I explained my situation to him, about being in the bay area, and needing the water heater installed in San Diego. He said I just needed to send him a photo which I did immediately. After looking at the situation and discussing with me in detail what kind of showers and how long I spend in the shower, he decided that the tankless water heater was not right for me. I really appreciated him being so open and honest with me.  We discussed different brands and gallon capacity, and came up with what would best for me. Today Radi came over and took away the old water heater and installed my new Rheem water heater. He and his crew did a great job, and it looks beautiful. Very neat and clean work too. If you are looking for a repipe company...congratulations! Your search is over. These are the guys.

Dr. Piper took on my large, complicated 2-story 1970's slab house - with disconnected plumbing systems due to several unconnected major remodels and additions done by various owners over the decades - and unified it all into one copper plumbing system that snakes smartly and efficiently through walls and floor joists. The demolition was as minimal as possible. Yes, my house looked like a plastic-walled construction site for a week, but that's because they carefully seal off all the work areas so nothing gets damaged.  And, NOTHING got damaged.

I can't even begin to describe all the heroic time and effort Peter and Rudy put in to get this complex job done in time for us to leave on a pre-planned vacation. Their dedication to our project was at a level I haven't seen in, well, forever. You'd think it was THEIR OWN house they were repiping - and THEIR OWN vacation they were working all hours to save.

A bathroom was available at all times and a shower was available before they left each night. Peter and Rudy are super considerate, friendly, professional, accommodating, and SMART.  They have this repipe thing down.  Very talented plumbers.

I guarantee that your repipe job cannot touch the complexity of mine. After a slab leak last year, we were advised to just dig up our expensive marble bathroom floor and repair the leak, given the difficulty of a repipe for this house. But after a second slab leak, we contacted Dr. Piper and now we have a brand new, cohesive plumbing system. And yes, the price was very reasonable. These plumbers are repipe specialists. They have perfected their methods and can complete the repipe much more efficiently than an ordinary plumber.

I don't care who your neighbor used, or what other companies' reviews you have read...do yourself a favor and at least get a bid from Dr. Piper.

Nobody wants to repipe. But now that we are looking at this in the rear view mirror, I'm really glad we did. It helps that the process (and price) was as painless as possible.

After much researching and gathering of multiple quotes, we made the decision to entrust Dr. Piper for the re-piping of our home. We were rewarded with a job well done, excellent customer service and good COVID safety practices.

When I first contacted Dr. Piper, I took a chance and called them at 7:30pm at night. Radi answered and by the next morning Peter was at our house for a thorough walk-through to generate the initial quotes (one for copper and the other for PEX). We went with copper and the job started a few days later during the week of Thanksgiving. They worked long hours to ensure the job was completed as soon as possible. As an aside, there was a delay in the city inspection because of the holiday, otherwise work proceeded along the same time estimates that were promised. Also, no new expenses were added to the final bill.

A whole-house re-piping is not a fun experience to go through and it causes a temporary upheaval in one's home and life. However, I would recommend the services of Dr. Piper to other home owners that are seeking re-piping at a competitive price, value honest feedback, rapid communication and expect high-quality work.

Very recently we've got re-piping after we experienced pin hole leaks four times. I've had talks with three companies and estimates. One of them is widely known Re-Piping company and the other was known to be low in quote. Dr. Piper was in the middle in price but gave as much technical confidence  as the  most expensive one. Dr. Piper presented the options, plans and pros-n-cons in detail. It was very helpful for me to investigate further for final decision.  

We have a 2 story house with 3000 ft sq. It took a day for preparation of entire house. It took 2 days for re-piping and another 2 days for finishing and cleaning. Painting was left for someone else.

I am an engineer and watched their working meticulously. Their workmanship and work ethic impressed me. At busiest time 7 member of crew worked together and were efficient. Their job was clean and my wife and I are more than happy.

Later we found a new bath tub faucet makes hissing sound and called Dr. Piper for fix. The after service was responsive and very satisfactory. It was found a faulty gasket in the assembly was the problem.

It was regretful we didn't re-pipe earlier. The job was not as much messy as expected. They reviewed the house layout and figured out the most efficient routing. No more piping under the slab!  No more anxiety when coming back from long trip!

I am proudly recommend Dr. Piper for re-piping and plumbing work.

Radi at Dr. Piper was AWESOME. I called and scheduled an appt with another plumbing company yesterday for 1 pm today. They kept extending my appt time throughout the day. By 4:30pm they stil hadn't come! So I decided to call other plumbers to fix my flooding hallway that was seeping into two bedrooms. Radi replied the fastest and was at my house in 20 mins. He searched all the piping in the house and came to the conclusion that it wasn't a leak in my bathroom as I had suspected. It was my A/C condenser, some dufus had unplugged it. He called and connected me with a guy to come out and assess all the water damage so I could get everything back in order as soon as possible. He didn't even charge me anything, but I tipped him some gas money for the drive out. I would recommend Radi at Dr. Piper any day of the week and will most certainly use him again. Thanks again Radi. My home water heater started leaking late yesterday so last night I used Yelp to get quotes to replace it. I described the situation and included photos of the old installation. Within 15 minutes Radi from Dr Piper provided a quote. I later received 3 other quotes but selected Dr Piper based primarily on price and good reviews. I asked for the work to be done this morning and by noon had the new water heater installed by George. The work was done very professionally with no hassle. I have several rental properties and will certainly give Dr Piper a call for future plumbing needs at those rental properties or at my home. Highly recommend Dr Piper.

Update - the water heater at my new home was nearing its end and the pressure regulator and stop valve were corroded. Because Dr Piper did such good work on my previous home water heater replacement I had them replace the water heater, stop valve and regulator at my new home. Our sixty-year old home started having a leaks. After having drying out and having it repaired twice, we decided to have the house repiped, bypassing the slab completely. I gathered a few quotes, and Radi's was the best and most complete. He told me exactly what they were going to do, and what they were going to install. George and his associate did all of the work to repipe our house with copper, install new valves and braided supply lines, hot water heater expansion tank, pressure regulator, and outside hose valves in three days! They even patched and textured all of the holes in the walls! They also obtained all permits and had the inspector come out. They were very accommodating and incredible workers.  They took great care to keep things clean, and did a great job of cleaning up and putting everything back together.   We are thinking about remodeling a bathroom, and when we do, I'll be calling Radi.

Contacted Dr. Piper for help to investigate the cold water line low flow/no pressure in the master bedroom shower and faucets.   Called at 9:30am.  2 trucks were on site at 10:30am.   Re-piping of the line was necessary in our case.   No one does this the same day..  These guys did.   Very reasonable costs, same day completion is just simply amazing..   These guys know their work.  And know it very well.   Very happy to have found them among many companies that charge a lot more, that don't know what they are doing, turn around and leave you behind or simply do not show up for their given time frames.   All patched, textured and we are very happy.  Great job guys..   Very much appreciate it..

Our home was built in 1989 and the builders used Polybutylene pipes (plastic grey color pipes). At the time it was believed to be a great choice but it was the cheap choice. These types of pipes after years of usage, especially on the hot water supply side tend to weaken and can create small puncture holes because of the flucation of the pipes.
After many years of repairing at the source of the problem- we finally decided to re-pipe the whole house when we experienced a massive leak above the hot water heater.
We had looked into repiping the whole house about a year and half ago and looked at quotes from a few different companies. Dr. Piper was by far the best one. For one reason or another we had put the re-pipe on hold until the massive leaked happened.
I got in touch with Radi on a Monday night when this happened and by Tuesday morning his crew was at my house ready to work. Radi mentioned to me that the job would take until Sunday to finish and i was fine with that. To my surprise they had finished re-piping, redrywalling, and retexturing  by Thursday night - it only took them three days to finish and they did a great job!!!
The guys on the job were very professional, friendly, and took me step by step on what they were going to do. There were never any dumb questions from my side, gladly answering any i had. Thanks Radi and to your crew at Dr. Piper. I would recommend Dr. Piper to any one. Great Quality work!!!

I had just purchased a property to discover that the replacement water heater was improperly installed and missing the expansion tank. Going on Yelp, I contacted 4 plumbing company at the same time for a quote. Not only was Radi at Dr. Piper the first to respond, he came in at the most competitive rate and with raving reviews on Yelp! So far so good.

When I was finally ready to fix the water heater, I message Radi again and he again responded within minutes. He made himself available to come within the same day to do the job. Radi showed up on time, was very friendly and got right to work. Not only did he do a fantastic job, he also helped to fix the sloppy strapping work done by the previous guy. What great service!

Radi was very professional, personable and honest. He took the time to make sure I was happy with the work and did not try to up sell or do the bait-and-switch I've experienced with other plumbers. As far as I'm concerned, he's as good as it gets! I will be recommending him to family and friends.

I had a plumbing issue that needed to be fixed, so when I called Radi, the general manager had sent out someone within an hour. Joseph got straight to work and did a great job in fixing my front yard irrigation problem. He was also nice enough to inform me about what he was doing and why the problems were happening, which is always great to know to prevent this from happening the next time. And as he was working, he found another issue we weren't expecting, but he was professional about it and fixed that issue for me as well, no problem. If there's anything else I could do to make sure they continually get clients/customers, I would, but Joseph instead asked me to write a yelp review, which I never do. But for Joseph, I definitely will- their work ethic is worth this effort!

These guys worked harder and did more to investigate where our gas leak was coming from during a free inspection than most plumbers would ever do on a paid job. I've used Dr. Piper several times over the years. I had a pipe blow in my hallway on a Sunday and Radi was there for us and super helpful. Peter showed up in no time and had us back up and running with water. Amazing responsiveness. Peter warned me about the condition of my pipes but I rolled the dice. Fast forward less than a year and I had a pipe elbow blow in my kitchen ceiling again on a Sunday. Radi again managed to find someone to come out and get us back up with water. I learned my lesson and scheduled to have my whole house repiped with Dr. Piper. Peter made it happen for us so our home could be done in time for Christmas. Rudy and the other Peter were worked super hard and were simply fantastic plumbers. Dr. Peter has been there for me every time, and I give them my highest recommendation. I'm still considering a whole house filter to protect my new pipes and will surely work with them in case we do. My only regret is not getting repiped sooner so as to avoid damaged kitchen cabinets and flooring. Finally I'll mention that everyone was honest and transparent about the entire process and any issue that arose. I really value that and appreciate it. Thanks for all of your help!

The amount of time without water was minimal considering the size of the project. One unexpected issue arose and the guys immediately began to troubleshoot and quickly solved and fixed the problem. After interviewing a number of different companies for a repipe of a residential condo, we decided on Dr. Piper and could not be more pleased. They work hard, take their time to do it the right way, and take great pride in their craft. They followed all COVID protocol to make us feel comfortable and went above and beyond when installing the water heater and actually built a small shelf in the water heater closet for storage for us. The quote they gave us included every pipe in the house and there were no surprise costs or changes. Their price was very fair, it was much less than some of the large plumbing corporations, but more than the unlicensed handyman.  They are professional plumbers with years of experience and specialize in repipe jobs. This means that every week they do a repipe job at a house, an apartment complex, or an industrial building, making them very experienced professionals who will work hard for you. These guys are simply amazing. We just purchased our 1st home knowing it had bad pipes. Radi quoted us for the amount of work instantly and at a very fair price. This included the thicker walled copper piping, all fittings, and expansion tank. He understood time was of the essence and started work as soon as possible. I highly recommend this company for your repipe project. From start to finish, Peter and the work crew were a pleasure to work with and they worked so well together as a team.  Their response to my initial imquiry was immediate and I got a cost estimate the same day.  They provided a very reasonable estimate. After our 3rd leak in our house we knew we had to do a full re pipe, we got about 6 quotes and finally met Radi he not only gave us the best price but was also very friendly and professional, he completed the work in the time he had promised and when we needed a helping hand with additional work he was happy to do it for us. Our house now looks like nothing ever happened his drywall crew covered all the patches flawlessly.

So yesterday I discovered that I had a small gas leak and called SDGE to turn the gas off. I talked to the technician and he told me that a plumber can fix the problem. So after a few failed attempts, not being able to get here soon and getting overcharged I called DrPiper. First off Radi was very nice and had no problem getting here when I needed him to. He was on time and even called a few minutes before arriving. When he got here I explained the problem and he got right to work. He replaced an adapter and gave me pointers on what to do next. His fee was almost 70% less than previous quotes and only wanted me to pay when SDGE turned the gas back on and verified that there was no more leaks.

I had water seeping up from the carpet in my condo. I believed it was a slab leak and I would need to re-pipe the condo. Radi was great about calling back and coming out to see the problem. When he showed up to start the job, I pointed out that an area near the wall was still wet when I had shut off the water main two days ago. Radi opened the wall and found that my neighbor's water pipe to her toilet was leaking. He stayed for 45 minutes and helped explain the problem to my neighbor. And he didn't charge me anything for the visit! Dr. Piper will be my first call if and when I have a slab leak, or other plumbing problem.

Radi Mintchev is an angel!!! Had to repipe my house that was in escrow.  He came in immediately, explained exactly what he was going to do and at a very reasonable price.  He and his team worked tirelessly to repipe my entire home and  get it back on the market. Had a problem with my hot water pressure all over the house. I called Radi and he took the time to discuss the problem and even suggested a couple of possible fixes, and suggested that I might try some myself before he came out. I had tried the basics, as inspecting the hot water outlet for corrosion build up and flushed the heater's tank. I declined to try additional things.  Radi came out and fixed it in an hr and charged a very reasonable price.

I am a first time customer. I picked Dr Piper because of the great reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed. I called Radi on a Friday mid afternoon about a leak on a pipe somewhere between the main water meter and the shut off valve inside the garage. Radi walked me through a few things on the phone and gave me a very reasonable quote and said he would have his crew out the next morning which was a Saturday morning. His crew showed up in the morning did a fantastic job and cleaned up after they were done. They were friendly and professional. Radi and his people are totally professional and they have all of the knowledge and the tools to do the job.  They are amazing with how they protect your house and how neat and organized they are.  They work long hours, work in harmony, and provide fantastic results.

I had a couple of difficult areas and no other plumbing company had a solution for me other than a very expensive process of tile and cement cutting.  Radi know exactly what to do and did it so that I had no cement  or tile cutting.  WOW!

He is honest, hard working, responsive and has a very friendly fashion in which he does business.  You will become family with him and he treats you like you are special.  

My job was a big one and he put 5 people on it and it was finished in 5 days.  They worked long hours but they did not leave until they had accomplished their goal for day and restored my system to being usable for the night.

They did all of the drywall patches and texture and again, their work was first class.  They know what they are doing and they do it well.

Lastly, when it came time to settle up I was surprised as there were no extras or any pricing games.  He simply says what he is going to and then he does it!

His materials were the best and he cuts no corners.  When it comes to a serious plumbing project you want Radi and his band of merry men on the other end of the torch!

I cannot recommend Dr. Piper enough. I had to repipe my newly purchased home due to it having poly-b piping. Peter came out immediately and got the estimate to me same day. Radi and his team did a fantastic job quickly replacing all the pipes and doing so in a way that minimized the amount of dry wall and stucco repairs. The work was high-quality and done for thousands of dollars less than other companies quoted us, and that doesn't take into account that Dr. Piper repairs the drywall and stucco which wasn't even included in the proposals by the other companies. Radi is professional, friendly, and very knwoledgable. He was consistently patient with answering our questions and made us feel reassured throughout the process. Fair price, no upsells, and quality work. A win all around! Don't waste your time with other plumbers, just hire Dr. Piper.

Had whole house repiped with Dr. Piper. Radi is super responsive & very professional. His repipe crew worked day & night to get the job done. They were always very respectful of our home & our family while in our house.  Plumbers that repipe may not offer drywall repair services (or need to be contracted out). They do both which is a good sign. This means they are experts at what they do because that is what they specialize in.  I usually don't post but its hard to find honest people that do quality work so wanted to give them their kudos. We have a home built about 25 years ago, when it was customary to run the copper piping under the foundation.  After three separate slab leaks, we decided it was time to re-pipe our home.  We got four different estimates from plumbing contractors who came highly recommended.  Radi and his crew at Dr. Piper came with the very best recommendation of all.  HIs estimate was the most complete and reasonable, given that he included the drywall, texture, and paint necessary to restore our home to its original outstanding condition.  I was a little concerned that while Radi may do a great job with the re-piping, he may not know how to do the hand-troweled finish I wanted to match the other walls.  He assured me that he could do the job, and furthermore, I was to pay him when the whole job was finished and I was happy with the work.  How could I argue with that?

He and his crew went way above and beyond to do a first class job for us.  Just to give you an example of some of the extra effort that they went to for us, we had replaced our heating and air conditioning system about 5 years ago.  We had two furnaces in the attic and the two air conditioning units on either end of the house which had been replaced; however, the contractor who did that job 5 years ago left all the old ducting and furnaces in the attic, instead of removing them.  We never go in our attic and were not aware of the old junk left up there.  Dr. Piper removed everything that did not belong there, which was beyond the scope of their job.  

Additionally, they brought in a county inspector to make sure everything was done correctly (NO other plumbers offered to schedule and bring in an inspector!).  When I asked Radi if that was necessary, he said, No, but how are you going to know if we are doing a good job?  Hmmm...good point!

Furthermore, they bagged up all their trash and removed it in their van.  I had seen it mounting up over the course of the ten days they were here and was frankly dreading the task of moving it out to the curb for the trash collectors.  

We waited two months to get on his schedule, and it was definitely worth the wait!  They were neat, pleasant, efficient, and very hard-working!  They even worked over Memorial Day and Saturdays to get the job done as quickly as possible.  We were very impressed with the job they did for us and, without any reservation, can highly recommend them!

Update
We called Dr. Piper back to do a quick fix on his work. He came out immediately and sorted out the problem with no fuss. Above and beyond great service!

Wow! 5pm on a Sunday I sent a message and within 5 minutes had a reply. 10 minutes later Rabi called me and was able to answer my question. Fortunately, I didn't need his service BUT anytime I need a plumber, I will certainly use this company. Thank you.    

When I needed a gas line I called Radi who came out and did a great job with a minimum of mess and fuss. Great work.

I can't say enough great things about DR. Piper and his team!  We had a leak in our bedroom from the unit upstairs and it was an emergency situation, I called Radi and he sent his guys within 2 hours.  Mind you, it was after 5pm and his guys had been working all day.  They came in, did assessments very quick and were working on the issue within 10 minutes.  In another 45 minutes the issue was fixed, the leak was stopped and we were cracking jokes!  
The best experience I've ever had with a plumber, ever!!! They are professional, fast, polite and they leave you feeling like you just made a new friend! BEST in town!!!

Radi was great. He worked within my time schedule. I knew I could not spend a small fortune on fixing the leak. I sent him a message for a quote and he got back to me quickly and asked for some photos which I sent right away. He was out the very next day and he fixed the leak. His price was unbeatable. I was very pleased with the excellent service from Dr. Piper.  I contacted with Radi(owner) on Saturday and he sent Peter(sales) to inspect our property the next day and Peter provided us an estimate with proposal.  Because of the cost and complexity of repipe job, I did my homework and got few bids.  Peter did a very good job to explain repipe and answered all questions we had.  He also served as a good communicator between customers (us) with his company. The crews (George and Todor)started this project on Monday.  They were very experienced and professional on the top of everything as well as patient with us.

The bid from Dr Piper was comprehensive - City permit and inspection, new Copper pipes (type L) and fittings with a lifetime warranty, new main shout off hose valve, new pressure regulator, drywall repair and texture, and stucco patch, and other they still came in this competitive price.

I would definitely recommend this company to anyone needing a repipe in their home.  They were very competitive bit with the quality was absolutely perfect, no corners cut.

I called on a Saturday after my contractor failed to coordinate sink hookup with countertop installation and I did not want to be without a kitchen sink for 3 days.  They responded within an hour and Radi came out about one hour after that conversation.  He was very respectful, insisted on removing his shoes, cleaned up after himself.  He explained work, gave me an accurate quote and finished the job the right way (made some minor adjustments to work that was previously done incorrectly) in a reasonable amount of time.  Sent me an email receipt as requested.  No hassle, job done right for a competitive price.  I am pleased.

Water heater broke down Thursday night and was back to taking hot showers again the next day thanks to Dr. Piper!

I've been wanting to upgrade to a tankless water heater for a long time and when the old water heater went out it was finally time.  Called my long time repair man Mark from Re-Nu Renovations and he highly recommended Radi from Dr. Piper.  Met Radi at the house and he recommended the NAVIEN tankless water heater.  Radi suggested that I could install the water heater in the attic (we have an attic space above the garage where the old water heater was).  What a great idea.  He re-piped everything and now my garage seems much larger without the massive 75 gal tank there.  All the drywall was repaired and patched perfectly (he doesn't paint).

Our main concern with a tankless heater is that it would take a long time to get hot water to some showers that are quite far from the heating unit.  This NAVIEN unit has an internal circulator so there is NO waiting for hot water.  It takes the same amount of time to get hot water as our tank unit on a circulator (7 seconds).   This is to the furthest shower away from the heater.  It also has a condenser which makes it more efficient (90-98%) vs. non-condensing (80% efficient) vs. regular tank heater (50-60%).

We found water in the storage room on Sunday and didn't know where it was coming from.  We called a few plumber but everyone was busy or not returning our calls.  Most plumber  just bust walls open and go!  Long story short it was coming from upstairs neighbor.  We called Radi early Monday morning he returned my phone call and came out quick.  We had to open up some drywall since the water made the walls bubble in the master bedroom.  He was able to locate the leak and took care of all the drywall work afterwards.  He is very fair and he keeps the job site clean!    He is now my go to plumber in San Diego!

I just had my entire house repiped (from Quest to Copper) by Dr. Piper, and I highly recommend them.  I had 5 different companies come out to give me quotes for the job, and I ultimately chose Dr. Piper because of their competitive price and the fact that Radi explained everything to me.  He was very patient in explaining what needed to be done (as well as what was not needed), and what he recommended.  I really appreciated his honesty, because it saved me a lot of money in the end!

The other thing that I really appreciated was the fact that Radi came when he said he would, and finished the job on time, as promised.  I have had a lot of contractors work on my house for various jobs, and I have found that 90% of them are unreliable or shady!  I did not have this problem with Dr. Piper.  We were throwing a party on Saturday, and Radi and his team worked tirelessly to finish the job on time before the party (they were done by Thursday).  

The pipes work great, and the dry wall was repaired nicely.  Also, Radi was the only contractor willing to repair the tile in the shower that needed to be removed as part of the job.  All the other contractors were just going to put a plate over the hole they would have created in the shower wall!  Everything is as good as new again!

It is so hard to find dependable contractors these days, so I am very happy to have chosen Dr. Piper!  I will definitely use them again for future plumbing jobs!

I called Radi after my pipe burst in the master bathroom. He quickly calmed me down, walked me through turning the main supply to the house off and was at my house in under 1 hour. He was professional, courteous and took the extra time to explain why the pipe had burst and what I needed to look for in other area's of the house so something like this doesn't happen again.

Hopefully I'll never have a problem like this again, but if I do Dr Piper will be my first call.

So after three hours of trying to clear a kitchen drain ourselves with no success,  we were left with a clogged sink and a big 'ol stinky mess. Desperate, we searched yelp trying to find a plumber who was open Sundays and with good reviews. Dr Piper to the rescue!

As it turned out, Radi wasn't actually working Sunday (I think there was a mistake with the timing listed on his yelp page), but he answered the phone right away.  After hearing that we got his number from yelp, he agreed to come over anyway. As promised he arrived in just 20 minutes and got to work. Just a little over an hour later our drain was clear and the odorous goo-water was gone!

Radi was punctual, professional, personable, honest and fairly priced. He even charged us the low-end of his phone estimate.

After our Home Warranty failed us and would not send a technician out on a Sunday like they told us they would, we found Dr Piper through Yelp.  We were looking for a plumber who would actually work on weekends when people typically are home.

That morning we were awoken by our neighbor to find out our water heater was leaking.  After searching online and getting quotes, we moved forward with Dr Piper.  The owner kept in communication and sent out an employee who removed our old water heater and installed a brand new one without any issues.  It went very smoothly which we were very grateful for.  Additionally he was very friendly and explained how the new water heater worked compared to our old one.

We attempted to contact some of those big name companies for the job but the work was completed and we were back to enjoying hot water before they even returned our call to provide a quote.

I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a Plumber.

Okay, I read all the other 5 star reviews and said, sounds like an honest guy, but really?.  Anyways, I thought I'd give Dr. Piper (Radi) a shot because no one else could solve my problem and short of a remodel, I was game at paying what is was going to take to fix my problem.  My wife and I own a vintage cottage in La Jolla.  It is so vintage that the plumbing parts are over 80 years old and finding a replacement for the bath/shower diverter was presenting a huge challenge.  I first called out Bill Howe and their plumber said the fixtures were so old that I would have to remodel.  To do that I would have to ask my tenants to vacate the cottage until the remodel was done.  Seemed to me a lot of cost and work for just a shower/tub diverter.   So I took a chance and called Dr. Piper (Radi) out.  He arrived on  time and look at the situation.  He took apart the assembly and asked if I would be happy just to have the shower working.  The tub was rarely used anyways so talked to my tenants and they said it would be satisfactory.  Radi manufactured a plug for the diverter and installed it so that water only came out of the shower head.  It worked!   He gave me the broken part and said that there was a huge Plumbing Supply center in Chula Vista that could probably help me locate the part and get the divert working again.  He also mentioned if and when I was ready, he and his crew would be happy to quote me a remodel cost.  I thanked him for his time and honesty and then he blew me away.  I asked him how much I owed him for today's work and he said nothing.  I said WHAT, you drove all the way down here to La Jolla; you worked on this for over 20 minutes, and you say I owe you nothing.  He refused to take any money.



Dr. Piper is an old world business man.  You don't find many of these around.  He is a gem of honesty and I am so very grateful to have found him.  When we do decide to remodel, he is my first call.  I can't give a higher recommendation than this for any anyone.  I wish Yelp had 6 stars, cause I'd give him 8.  Trust me.  You can't go wrong calling Dr. Piper.  He is for real!



My 3rd experience with Dr. Piper....it only keeps getting better....
I first called on Dr. Piper(Radi) about a year and a half ago.  Since then I have used called upon him to solve/fix 3 plumbing issues.  Whether it's Radi himself or one of his associates the works has been impeccable. He and his staff have always shown professionalism and care for your fixing whatever needs to be done.  From a small job like replacing a faucet to repiping, Radi and his crew have shown exceptional service.  My latest issues was a cracked sewer pipe in an interior wall of my personal residence.  Radi came out on a Sunday and opened to wall to investigate the problem.  We discovered it was not an active leak so could be handled a couple of days later. On Monday one of working associates, Louise, came to the home, inspected the problem and scheduled to come back Tuesday with the proper cast Iron pipe to do the repair.  It took a little time over an hour and I was back to functioning.  Fast, efficient, clean, professional, that's what you get with Dr. Piper and at a reasonable cost.  If you are tired of dealing with large plumbing contractor companies never know just who you will get, I say call Dr. Piper and get personal consistent service.  I have a great doctor, I have a great mechanic, and I have found a great plumber.  Life is good.

I truly can't remember the last time I had such great customer service. We called Dr. Piper on Sunday morning because we suspected a leaking pipe in our main water line. Radi offered to stop by to assess the situation at no cost. As part of his free assessment, he grabbed a shovel and dug a 3-4 foot deep hole to confirm where the leak was coming from. He gave us a very reasonable price to fix the leak. Radi knew we are on a budget, so even started explaining how we could fix it ourselves if we really wanted to save some money (mind you, this is all before he knew whether we would be hiring him). We decided to go ahead and hire him, and he went straight to work. He completed the job in a very timely but thorough manner. In addition to doing a great job, Radi was incredibly friendly and had a wonderful sense of humor. Would highly recommend!

We had a hot water pipe leak under the slab.  5 different  contractors provided an estimate.  One of the bids was almost 3x as much as Dr. Piper's bid, the other 3 plumbers were too quick to jackhammer into the foundation.  When Radi showed up, he knew where to find the manifolds.  He seemed very confident.  We also decided to install a tankless water heater.  He and his crew finished the pipe re-route and install of new water heater within a day.  They left my house as if they've never been here.  No more leaks and we love our new Navien tankless  hot water heater.  We noticed corroded pipes when they opened the walls and ceiling so we are planning to have our whole house re-piped in a couple months.  I highly recommend Dr. Piper, you will not be sorry.  I will definitely call Dr. Piper again for our future plumbing needs. A BIG Thank You to Dr. Piper and Radi!!! I reached out to Radi in August when I was having an issue with my tankless water heater. Although he did not have the parts to repair, he did have the insight to my problem and the resources to locate the needed valve...in Boston. He sent me the link to the warehouse and within 2 days I had the part in San Diego. On top of explaining how to get the needed part he also came by my home and installed the replacement part with expertise.

I work with a variety of contractors in my 9-5 and it was sooo refreshing to speak and work with a contractor of high ethical and business morals! Thank you Radi and Dr. Piper.

I highly recommend Dr. Piper and give 5 stars for all levels of sales and service. Peter came to our home and provided us with a detailed quote for a whole house hot and cold copper re-pipe that included a city inspection and permit.  The price quoted was not the highest nor the lowest. We went with Peter and Dr. Piper because of his honesty and transparency and we are glad we did. The two re-pipe specialists (Rudy and Peter B) are professionals and came in and completed the job in two days. Very respectful and focused on doing a great job, which they did. The city inspection and permit made me feel everything was don correctly. My brother, a licensed plumber, inspected the work and said it was some of the best re-piping work he has ever seen. I had my condo repiped 6 or 7 years ago by a plumbing contractor after a series of pinhole leaks in the cheap condo copper piping.  Unfortunately that first contractor left some of the cheap copper piping in place and I had another leak this spring.  I called Radi for advice and he was able to tell that there were other places that hadn't been repiped by looking at the drywall patches.  He recommended I contact the previous contractor and have him fix the problem.

In the end I decided to have Radi and his crew do the job.  They were on time, professional, and you could tell this was not their first repipe rodeo. The work was permitted and inspected, they finished a day earlier than expected, and the crew cleaned up afterward.  I sleep better at night knowing I'm not going to wake up to a big bubble of water in the ceiling thanks to Radi and his crew.

Dr Piper is the real deal.  I recently did a major remodel and own three rental properties. Hence, I have engaged A LOT of contractors and Dr. Piper is among the best.  Dr. Piper just finished re-piping one of my rental condos.  Below is where they stood out among the pack:

There is a separate person, Peter, who does the quotes versus the person who does the work, Radi.  I was able to schedule a specific time to have Peter come look at the place and provide a quote.  Everyone else scheduled a four-hour window to do this which held a good chunk of my day hostage which limited other business I could conduct.

They do the piping and the drywall and they have a tight relationship with a painter.  The whole project was coordinated through a single channel and completed in one chunk.  Otherwise, I would have had to work with three different contractors, coordinate their schedules which most likely would have had gaps prolonging how long the condo would be in disarray, and deal with the gaps and finger pointing that quite often happens when dealing with multiple separate contractors.

They pull permits and schedule the inspections which gives me peace of mind that everything was done properly behind the woodwork as well as adds value to the property should I ever sell.

Radi was a dream to work with.  He is extremely responsive, communicative, stayed on schedule, and when it was time for the final walk through EVERYTHING was completed and EVERYTHING was cleaned up.  There were no loose ends.

Their prices are excellent.  Even with the extra items mentioned above, their quote was on par with my three other quotes.  Also, during the job, we uncovered some additional issues with the plumbing that needed to be addressed.  The prices for the change orders were extremely fair.  I've had other contractors gouge me in this situation knowing they had me over a barrel.

This outfit was a pleasure to work with, their work is excellent, I would engage them again in a heartbeat.

Radi and his team are awesome. They're fast, efficient, clean, extremely polite and shoot you straight on the amount of work required and the costs to expect.

I first used Dr. Piper when we had a leak in our upstairs bathroom. They came in, fixed the issue and patched up the wall afterward to a point where I couldn't tell the wall had been touched (aside from needing to be painted).

Most recently they came out to handle a corroded pipe for my water heater. They arrived on time and were in and out in less than an hour.

They do good work at a fair price while communicating well throughout the process. I have nothing to complain about.

I had whole house repiping project done by Dr Piper. Radi and his team did great job! He is very knowledgeable, professional and experienced. His teammate, Misho, worked very hard and carefully. Dr Piper's quote also includes drywall patch and texture, which is usually not included in other companies' quotes. His partner drywall team from San Diego Drywall Solutions also did great job and recovered the drywall perfectly. They completed the project as the expected timeline with great quality. I highly recommend Dr Piper for repiping project.

I had a leak in the supply line running from the curbside meter to the shutoff valve going into my house.  It was easy to tell where it was from the wet spot in the lawn, and water usage was up.
Radi replied quickly to my quote request and was responsive throughout the process.  Another 5-star plumber also replied but told me to first hire a leak detection company to locate the leak - which had already been located!  This would have cost another $200.
Radi came out and provided two quotes - repair or replace.  The quotes were reasonable and competitive.  He did not pressure me to perform the full replacement at higher cost.
His crew completed the repair the following morning.
Radi was polite and helpful.  I recommend Dr. Piper for your plumbing needs!

We just did a total home re-pipe and remodeled our three bathrooms. Our home was built in a small area that had the PVC or plastic pipes and several neighbors had experienced leaks so while we were remodeling the bathrooms we thought we would just get the re-pipe over with so we did 3 quotes and Dr. Piper was the winning bid. We didn't quite know what to expect but what we got was amazing. Dr. Piper came in and finished in like four days and he worked his butt off (Saturday and Sunday too)! He was super clean and blocked off areas to keep the mess at bay and this is important because I have 2 small children. He handled the city inspection with no issue and did a beautiful job on the drywall repair you can't even tell where they cut the holes but we do notice a whole lot better water pressure. Since we were doing the remodel Dr. Piper was also hired to come back and finish up installing all the sinks, showers, and toilet and even though we had paid him in full after the re-pipe he still came back with no issue and finished up the other items. I have to say Dr. Piper (Radi) was wonderful to work with and would bend over backwards to make you happy. I have found a plumber for life and am so happy that we hired him.

After four leaks in the past 12 months we knew it was time to re-pipe.  The thought of replacing all of our copper plumbing made me extremely nervous about finding the right company to do the job, especially since I had some rather frustrating contractor experiences in the past.  During the selection process we spoke at length with several local companies, and finally chose Dr. Piper based upon the knowledge and experience Radi (the owner) demonstrated, and all of the great reviews we had read about them.  Radi could tell we were nervous about the job, but he was so patient with us, and took the time to thoroughly explain the process to ensure we would know what to expect.  It was obvious he took great pride in his company's workmanship, as he even invited us to visit him at one of their job sites to view the quality of their work firsthand before making any commitments.  As this is my home, I am a somewhat picky person, but let me tell you, I could not have been happier with our decision, THESE GUYS ARE GREAT!! We had a terrific experience with this company, and I was so relieved to see that everything we had read about Dr. Piper was true.  Here are a few things that stood out to us:

Scheduling: Once we agreed upon a start date, we became their full-time commitment.  The workers showed up on time every day, and went right to work.  They were obviously experienced, as there was no doubt they knew what they were doing. Scheduling and timing of the tasks was very carefully managed, and they were very good at minimizing the time we would be without water, which was usually for just a few short durations.  The job progressed quickly without delays, and they even offered to work over the weekend so they could finish sooner if that was okay with us.

Cost: We received bids from a few different companies. Dr. Piper wasn't the cheapest, but they quoted a fair and reasonable price, and were definitely in the range we were expecting.  On top of that, we just had a very good feeling about Radi.  The job was completed within budget, and there were no surprises at the end.  The price quoted was the exact price we paid.

Quality: I have high standards, but am happy to report the finished work exceeded our expectations and was in all respects better than we envisioned. The workers were pleasant, cheerful and committed to doing the job right.  They clearly gave their best efforts, and their attention to detail was exceptional.  All the materials were brand new and of good quality, their solder joints were very clean and professional looking, and when it came time to put everything back together their drywall and texturing looked fantastic!! The best part is these were all long term workers, so Radi knew exactly the type of work quality they would produce, and of course he was right there on the job with them.  It was a trustworthy, professional and smooth running operation.  
 
All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience.  Radi is a very likable person, with a great team.  Don't hesitate to give him a call, and you can even tell him that Dean referred me, as I'm sure he'll remember me as that nervous (but satisfied) customer who asked all those questions.  We are very pleased with the work Dr. Piper (Radi) did, and without reservation would choose them again for any future projects on our home.

I called these guys after the couple we rent our condo from didn't have any plumber recommendations. George came out and ended up diagnosing the issue, which was more work than we thought. He came back and replaced our sink shut-off valves and installed a new kitchen faucet, while I was on my lunch break!

Radi is super easy to communicate with and George is clearly a master plumber - he even had to navigate the water heater room at our complex and main water street shutoff, without ever even setting foot in our complex before.

I can rest easy knowing we've made a good plumbing contact!

What an incredible company! I've used Dr. Piper's services multiple times (tankless water heater install, whole house re-pipe and a whole house water filter installation) and will continue to do so in the future! Here are the reasons why I like them:

1. Very polite and friendly (with the occasional corky sense of humor :D ).
2. The quality of work is amazing and the prices they've given me so far were very competitive.
3. Always on time and really accommodating when it comes to my schedule
4. Honest and really cater to your needs. They do not try to sell you work that you do not need. (which is a major problem that I've experienced with other companies)

I can't say enough good things about this quality company. I have had 3 major pipe leaks in the concrete slab and walls of my home over many years. I've had repipe patches done in the past. In Oct I lost the entire interior of my home. With the flood company opening all the wall down to the studs, removing everything I owned and removing all flooring I saw what a mess my plumbing was. I had multiple repipe companies come to give me a quote on a complete repipe. This company was the only company who would use the already opened walls and do a repipe with 100% American L copper. Other companies wanted to cut my concrete front porch and further demolition the few parts of my home not already destroyed. I saw & learned how badly the plumbing was originally installed with cheap chinese copper. Radi and his employees repiped my home and it was a work of art. The copper pipes were installed straight and thoroughly cleaned of flux. I no longer have any pipes in my post tension slab. This was also the only company that would repair the drywall and texture completely. I highly recommend this repipe company!

Great experience with Radi and his entire crew. Did my research in finding someone that knew what they were doing, was not disappointed. They repiped my condo, kept the dust contained well, and it became clear after the first day that this is what they do. If you need repiping these guys are specialists. One of the workers told me I was their 105th repiping job in the past 365-day year. Don't hire a plumber that sometimes does repiping, maybe for a little less, if you can get these guys and be sure it's done right. Some of the larger companies even charge more. The crew is a great bunch of guys from Bulgaria and would otherwise be struggling in what is considered the poorest Eastern block country. These guys work hard, was impressed from start to finish. Waited a few weeks from completion of work to see if any issues. No issues -- perfect job.

We hired Dr Piper for a whole house repipe because of their great reviews and we were happy we did. Radi came out to give us an estimate and we scheduled shortly thereafter. We got three quotes; their pricing was in the middle. They used all copper and the pipes were installed on our flat roof. They were able to use the minimal drop ceiling space in the kitchen and hallway to minimize roof penetrations. The crew (George, Stephan, and Todor) were hardworking and courteous, and they kept the house as clean as possible throughout the week-long installation. They scheduled the inspection with the city and did a really nice job patching up the holes in our drywall/ plaster walls. We were very pleased with the work and would not hesitate to recommend Dr Piper.

Updated review: received another service May 2020

This time Radi sent his crew to help us re-pipe the shower for bathroom renovation. Over the years, his professionalism stayed the same and his team is great.

Communication: excellent, fast reply, on time arrival and quickly got the job done.

What sets them apart: everyone is super friendly and provide great service. Left the area cleaner than when they arrived. Guys also identified some leak in the garden that we were not aware of and helped us address it on the same trip.  It also helps these guys are really funny. Price for service was quoted and when the job was finished, they charged the same amount and extra for the additional work.

Glad to have good plumbers to watch over our house. Strongly recommend that you give these guys a chance.

There's never a convenient time for your water heater to start leaking and right before a Charger game the weekend before Thanksgiving is no exception! Two friends referred me to their plumbers, and I did some of my own checking with Home Depot and Sears.
Once the lever was switched and the water stopped leaking, I had some time to research and I'm so glad I did as now I'm 100% positive I made the right choice by choosing Dr Piper.
Radi was the only one who didn't try to sell me on why his brand was the best, and the only one to tell me how to even stop the leaking! Clearly he cared about helping me instead of just selling me a water heater.
Radi and Peter arrived early, were professional and friendly and I will never use another plumber for anything! These guys ROCK!

I cannot recommend Radi (Dr. Piper) highly enough.
I had a problem with a leak in one of my showers and called him.  He took a few minutes out of a very busy schedule to come by and look at the problem.  He said that it was in the tile and he does not do tile work.  He did recommend a great tile man who do a fantastic job - so his recommendations are very excellent.  While he was here looking at the shower he took the time to fix a problem that I had with a sink. a couple of weeks later I called him regarding a similar problem with a sink in my other bathroom. and I had company coming for an extended visit.  He was booked solid but said that he could come by on Saturday.  He gave me a time frame that he would be here.  He called when he was on his way and arrived at the lower end of the time frame.  As I said highly recommend Radi, he is fast, efficient, reliable,very cost effective.

Radi at Dr. Piper is my go-to plumber for any job. When I found my water heater leaking all over the garage this morning, he was able to fit me in same-day, showed up with the replacement water heater, and hauled out the old corroded one. He also replaced all the fittings from the plumbing and gas line, so those are new and reliable, and replaced the wall straps to bring it all up to code. Radi's attention to detail is reassuring, and his promptness, professionalism, and fairness are why I continue to rely him.

We chose Dr. Piper based on Radi, his knowledge and the reviews on Yelp. Radi is one of the rare individuals that stands behind his work and his word 100%. At one point I tried to pay him for some of the work that had completed and he said he will not accept any payment until the work is complete. That is a testament to how dedicated he is to his work and his customers. Occasionally we all come across businesses that we are excited to promote and tell others about and Dr. Piper is one of those rare companies. We highly, highly recommend Radi and Dr. Piper.

Radi and the team are definitely the best!

Our house had the polybutylene pipes which started leaking in the bathroom. After talking to different plumbers, we decide to let Dr. piper to repipe for our house with copper pipes.

The workers came in on time and covered the furniture and the walls to avoid the dust and any potential damage from the following works.

They are so efficient and professional and work hard. They worked to 10pm on the first day and accomplished half of the repiping jobs. And in the next two days, they kept the same working status and finished all of the work in 3 days.

After the inspections, the workers patched all of the wholes so perfectly that we cannot tell the color difference without looking closely. At the end, our home has the high quality copper pipes and is restored to the situation before the project. We are ready to cook and have dinner immediately.

We will recommend Radi and the team for their 5-star works.

Radi is experienced, quick and talented.   He replaced both of our 50-year old shower-faucets (along with stuck built-in shut-off valves) with new moen shower faucet with built-in shutoff valves and a nice new moen trim.   He never expanded the wall hole bigger.    We may have to wait for a bit for his available time.   But it was worth it.   Thank you Radi.

I received a number of quotes for the re-pipe of my house and choose Radi and Dr Piper for the job. This was the right choice! Radi arrived at my house and began with surgical precision to open the heart of my house and perform what I call bypass surgery on my water system. The entire experience was good. My experience with Radi and Dr Piper has been better than I could have thought possible. From a complete re-piping of the house to a leaking shower head, Radi has come to the rescue. He and his crew were prompt, hard working, capable, and efficient. They did the re-pipe of my 2300 sq ft 30yr old track home in 3 days (including passing final inspection) and after repairing the drywall you would not know they had been here. Radi manages to remain completely professional while making you feel you have a friend for life. He truly cares about the quality of his work and will settle for nothing short of perfect. So YES, do call Dr Piper. And if Radi comes to your home know that you are in for a treat!

We had a great experience with Dr Piper and their prices are reasonable. Before starting the repair, Peter laid down mats to avoid getting the area dirty. He wore shoe covers and a mask as well. Despite a small obstacle, Peter went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the result. He was friendly and knowledgeable. I most appreciated that he cleaned up after himself once the job was done.

A couple other plumbers said I needed to open up my tile shower wall to get at a clogged pipe. Dr. Piper did more troubleshooting than he expected to do, and figured out the true problem. He fixed the shower valve (or some other related part), and it works perfectly now.
