Cor Cal Construction

Cor Cal Construction fixed a plumbing issue in my bathroom.  They were on time, communicated what was needed, fairly priced, quick, and best of all their work was amazing.  Chad and Justin were so nice to work with.  I look forward to many more projects I've put off around the house being done and plan to reach out them for all my future work.  Thank you so much, guys!

Cor cal contruction did a great job replacing my kitchen sink today. The crew was very professional and they cleaned up the area after finishing the installation. I strongly recommend them. See before and after pics.

I had an accident where my suv rolled into the garage entry door, broke the bottom hinge off the frame and cracked the frame, also put a big hole in the wall along side the door plus knocked two closet doors out of alignment on the inside of the hole in wall.  Cor Cal Construction was the only company (out of 10 that were contacted) that said they could do the job.  Chad and Justin are a great team.  It took a while to get everything fixed, but when they finished, you couldn't tell there was any damage done.  Chad and Justin not only do excellent work, but they keep you informed about what they are doing each step of the job.  The big plus was that the area where they were working was cleaner after they finished then it was before they started.

Chad and Justin did an amazing job rebuilding my front porch.  It had been nearly 30 years,  so it was out of date and looking bad.  They were so efficient,  clean work and very fast work.  Thank you for making this porch safe again,  and adding the beautiful handrail.

I hired Cor Cal again to remodel our hallway kids bathroom and I couldn't be happier. They showed up as promised and worked quickly. I hated this bathroom before and now I love it!!

I was able to communicate worn Cor Cal Construction via the Yelp app. Each message was answered promptly. I requested a new oven/microwave combination installed as the old one broke down. I was given a flat rate quote and agreed. The team arrived on time and immediately began work on the project. They were thorough and efficient. The new oven was still boxed and they carefully unboxed it and installed it in the cut out. They re-wired the new oven and removed all the plastic and tape. I appreciate they took all the cardboard and packing items as well. A very nice touch. Thanks team. Highly recommend!

Needed help with a sliding glass door that was stuck. Came out same week at a reasonable quote. On time. Honest that they may not be able to do anything given the type of problem but would take a look. Luckily, they were able to make a fix (with two quick runs to Home Depot!) and door is sliding like a dream when they left! Would hire again if needed.

Called to get a quote for a job in my kitchen. Chad came out next day, gave me options and a quote. He and Justin were out here the next week, and on-time as scheduled. Their craftsmanship, and work ethic is superb. Job was completed in three hours and made everything look good as new again. I appreciate their work and services. These guys know what they're doing and have excellent prices.

The two employees showed up a little early, which was great. They got right to work and did a fantastic job on my gate. The end result was a lot better than what I expected and the price seemed reasonable. I would call them again if I need other jobs around the house.

We asked Cor Cal to provide us with a quote for putting in shelving for our kitchen pantry. We sent pictures of the pantry and told them what we wanted, they quickly responded with an estimate and said they could be out in about a week. When the day came for them to do the work, the worker came in, looked at the pantry and said he needed to call his boss. He came back after a few minutes and said it was too much work and they could not do the work.

This should have been a very straightforward job to bid, and there should have been no surprises on their end to cause them to back out. Very disappointed and now we will need to try to line up other estimates after waiting over a week to have them come out, they need to work on their bidding and vetting process so they do not waste customers time in the future.

Had them fix our banister railing. He was able to fix quickly much more sturdy than before. Area was cleaned after work was done.

Cor Cal installed a dishwasher in my 100 year old house, where there has never been one before. My outstanding experience started with a prompt, accurate, affordable quote, which included all necessary components of the job. The installers arrived on time, wore masks, and were professional and conscientious. The job was finished under the estimated amount of time and they cleaned up, vacuuming and taking all trash with them. I could not be happier! They really went above and beyond! I'm already looking around the house for the next job so I can work with them again!

Chad was amazing and did a terrific job on building and installing our outdoor sauna. He also did the slate tile flooring in our kitchen and dinning area. Always on time and leaving a cleaned job site whenever he was finished for the day. Extremely knowledgeable and experienced  would definitely recommend CorCal to anyone looking for contractor services!

After they initially responded I tried to contact them several times and they didn't respond. I even drove to their loca and they didn't answer the door and I heard them inside.

Chad and Justin were fabulous. They were, on-time, on budget, professional and skillfully assembled my in-wall doggie door. There was a complicated part involving some cutting and molding of sheet metal and as you can see it came together perfectly... no gaps or holes and fully caulked. I'll hire them again!

Nor Cal Construction fixed my drip line in my front yard.  It had not been working for quite a few years and I've been watering by hand.  
I put out a request for the work and quite quickly Nor Cal responded to my Yelp request.  I am really impressed with people who get right back to you.
We made and appt and I explained what I needed done and I got an estimate and an appointment for the work within a week.  The drip is just the way I needed it so my tree and plants are all tied in and with the flip of a switch
I can even add to it.  
When they came for the job it was kind of a mess in front and when they left it was neat and tidy.
I will keep them in mind if I need another job done.  They are great.

Resolution Attempt: Final Entry

Jan arrived on time and quickly began working alone. (I requested Justin not be part of the crew that came back and that request was respected.) The stove is in and the gap left of the stove was closed up a bit. I will have to go back with stain and paint to try an camouflage the gap that should have never been.

I am am giving them 2 Stars because Jan did his best to fix the issue, moved the 220v, and my stove is in. However, I look at the side of my cabinet that should have never been cut back so far and will forever see a Franken-fix.

Would I ever use them again? Maybe, if they can guarantee Justin is never a part of the crew.  He canceled the appointment and we had to reschedule, he did not listen to my initial instructions of what I wanted resulting in the first fiasco, when I texted him about the issue he suggested countertop guys could center the stove, and lastly he simply stopped responding to texts.

Resolution Attempt - Day 1 - Part 2 (Placing my  updates at the top to let readers don't have to scroll down to see that Con Cal is working on the issue)

Received a call around 5 pm from Conrad (?), the owner(?)  (my Bluetooth was going in and out so I think that info is correct.) We had a pleasant conversation and he quickly understood the issue. He has committed to correcting the issue to center the stove, cut the backsplash, and lower the 220v. They are scheduled to arrive Saturday morning.

I will write an update after the work is completed.

Resolution Attempt - Day 1 (Part 1)

It has been 24 hours since I reached out to Con Cal Construction to fix a mistake made during my stove installation. The issue: They installed the stove full one-inch off-center and does not line up with the upper cabinets and vent.

Background:
First Contact: Using Yelp, I requested a quote to install my stove which would require them to remove a portion of my backsplash, move the 220v outlet, recess the outlet for the vent, and cut the cabinet base where a drop in stove was removed. Quote came in at $600-800. I hired them and agreed to arrive on 3/3 at 9 am.

Second Contact: On 3/2 at about 6:30 pm Justin texted me and said they would not be able to arrive on 3/3 and asked me to reschedule. I had a small dinner party planned on Saturday and asked if they could please fit me in. I asked if they would agree to a flat $600 since I had to reschedule. Justin said they would give me a discount and we agreed to reschedule to 3/8.

Third Contact: Justin and Jan showed up on time and were courteous. I explained to Justin I wanted a portion of the backsplash removed and he offered some excuse about not being able to do it. After being without a stove for weeks, I agreed to not have that as part of the work. I returned to my home office while they did the work. I came out periodically to assess the work and it appeared they understood what they were doing. They were gracious and accommodated my request to drill holes through the cabinet so I could run a water line to my refrigerator. They each took their phones out to show me the kitchen remodel they had recently done, so I believed they have the working knowledge that a stove should be centered. At the time I did not notice the discrepancy because they covered the countertop and backsplash with protective paper. (Appreciated the extra care but it made seeing the mistake impossible at that time.) They finished and paid them $700 via Venmo. ((My error: I did not realize they did not apply the discount nor deduct the cost of removing the backsplash which was part of the original quote.)

Fourth Contact: Texted Justin 3/8 at about 2:30p with a picture showing the 1-inch discrepancy and asked they return to fix the problem (center the stove), and if they could complete the original request of cutting out the backsplash and moving the 220v outlet.

I know this is a small company, about two years old, Justin and Jan seem to be standup guys so I honestly struggled with putting this on Yelp but after receiving no response 24 hours later decided to post.

If Justin and Jan respond I will update this post with the outcome.

Couple of my doors were offline and Cor Cal came out and quickly took care of them. I'm please with their communication, quote, and work.

Update. The owner reached out and had the door fixed as originally discussed. I appreciate the professionalism and quality job.

Chad and Justin were fantastic to work with and provided an exceptional service! Their diverse skill set made our complete kitchen remodel run smoothly from start to finish in less than 6 weeks. Services provided included: demo, drywall repair, plumbing, electrical, paint, backsplash tile, flooring installation and installation of new appliances. Communication was exceptional throughout the whole process. Chad went above and beyond to problem solve and step in when issues arose to keep the project moving forward in a timely manner. They left our work zone very clean at the end of each day. After completion, Chad promptly returned to address any issues that came up. Living through kitchen remodel with a family is never fun but Chad and Justin made the experience run smooth with a beautiful product at the end. We couldn't be happier with their work and highly recommend their service.

I Highly Recommend Cor Cal  for any home/handyman job. It just so happened that the company came out and there was some kind of misunderstanding as far as what kind of door I wanted hung but instead of rescheduling because they didn't have the right parts the gentleman immediately went to Home Depot and got the parts needed to do the job. He also completed the job quickly. I will definitely use Cor Cal in the future.

We are in process of getting our home ready to list for sale.  After living here for 10 years, there are various projects that needed the attention and expertise of contracting professionals.  

Chad and Justin were absolutely incredible.  Always showed up on time, and ready to work.  They completed about 7 separate jobs for us around the house in just two days (dry wall repair in guest bathroom, cabinet repair under kitchen sync, waterfall repair in backyard, outdoor gas firepit repair, and various other paint and floor repairs throughout the house).  The amount of detail in their craftsmanship is phenomenal, and I am so happy with how everything turned out.  High quality work on everything they touched.  I asked Chad to leave a stack of business cards so that I could hand them out to friends and family.  Will be recommending Cor Cal Construction to anyone that needs home repairs.

They finished on time, within budget, and were the definition of professional throughout the entire process.

For Cal came out and replaced some fencing around an out door hot water heater. Their price came in around what others did they were able to get it done the following week in a few hours and did a great job.

This is my brothers business, he has worked with a lot of special-needs families, not just mine, coming up with creative solutions to problems other people may not understand. I've heard a lot of parents not want to bring a stranger into the home for fear of their reaction to their home or child, this will not happen with this business! Keep this post saved and know that you can hire business that understand your needs and treat you with respect.

cor-cal has installed my lights, replaced my vanity, and set up some rly cool led lighting around my place.  super helpful in helping me understand the process with future projects I want done, too ! if you want a super well rounded team that knows what they are doing and could pretty much do any type of project (kitchen, bath, living room all have been my experience) these guys are it! they are fast, responsive and totally transparent and leave everything super clean ...highly recommended !!

We contracted (fixed fee) four separate projects with CorCal Construction over a 10 month period:

(1) Full bathroom remodel. Full tear down, including removal of toilet area divider wall. Install walk-in shower (48' porcelain tiles), inset mirror, lighting, vanity, sink, ceiling vent, toilet, flooring, baseboards, and accessories. Before/After pictures attached.
(2) Half bath remodel.  Full tear down.  Install shampoo sink, flooring, baseboards, and crown molding.
(3) Rewire breaker box - replace all breakers.  Trouble shoot/correct several electrical issues.
(4) New flooring.  Remove existing carpet and baseboards.  Install 520 Sq. Ft vinyl flooring and new baseboards.

We experienced an issue with the full bathroom remodel. The grout on the shower floor softened (like putty) after approximately six weeks of use.  We attributed this to a bad batch of premixed grout.  CorCal quickly resolved the issue - replaced the entire shower floor.

We are very pleased with CorCal's courteous, professional, and quality service. They show up on time, put in a good day's work, do a thorough job, pay attention to detail, and moreover, do a quality job.

Wow! I could not possibly be more pleased with the work that Cor Cal completed at our home today. They executed not just in quality of workmanship but also in design. I showed them a picture of what I was looking for and they required zero handholding to get it done. They should be loading pictures of our project (white kitchen island).

They were both so courteous, wore masks the entire time and left the construction area clean when they were done. I will definitely be referring Cor Cal to all our friends and using them on any other home projects we have in the future .
