CM Jetting Services & Camera Inspections

Unfortunately my experience with CM Jetting was not good. I called CM on a Thursday and left a message, no call back. Exactly a week later I called at 11:29am and spoke with Carlos. Told him a plumber recommended I have my line jetted and was looking for that service. We agreed on a price and I said sounds good let's do it. He said he was finishing a job and had another but would be at my place after that.  It was my day off so I said I'll wait at home for him. As it was getting later in the day I text him did you want to reschedule for tomorrow since the sun is going down.  No response. I called the next morning and left a message saying I had an appointment yesterday, was hoping we could do it sometime today. It's been 5 days and no call or text. I called another jetting company on yelp with great reviews and they said a plumber would be there between 11 an 1, they showed up exactly at 11 and did a wonderful job, was even cheaper. I'm not sure why a company thinks it's ok to make an appointment and have a customer wait for them and not even show, call or text. There was no miscommunication and he had my number, if there was an emergency a 5 second text would work. That's completely rude and disrespectful.

Carlos and I spoke on the telephone, as I described my problem to him he was very confident that he could clear the clogged plumbing line. The previous Contractor wanted me to spend $3800 digging up my Front
Yard. He explained that we had roots in the plumbing and that it was hopeless. When I described my problem to Carlos he gave me a much better price, and the solution did not involve digging up my entire front yard.

Carlos came over, ran a Camera down the drain and told us that there was a huge glut of grease in the line. He fired up the 80,000 BTU Water Heater that is installed on his rig (think commercial jacuzzi style water heater) and spent nearly two solid hours working the clogged line.

I think the Project may have been a bit more than he bargained for but Carlos honored his quote at the higher end of the price range he had given me.

I told Carlos that I had read of certain Plumbing Companies that come out to a residence and tell people that they have much bigger problems than they really actually have. Some of them even showing Home Owners film footage of terrible sewer problems from previous jobs and making the Home Owner believe that they are looking at footage of their own Plumbing Lines.

Carlos was almost apologetic about the way the Drain Repair Industry works explaining that many companies have huge commissioned based packages for their Plumbers, in other words the more they charge the more they make.  

I have no problem paying for an item of value that I receive whether its Service or Goods. Hiring an Owner like Carlos and CM is the way to go whenever you can. I cannot recommend CM Jetting Services strongly enough. Top Notch Equipment, Top Notch Service, Honesty and Integrity. This is what you are getting with Carlos.

Carlos responded to my message quickly and despite being 40+ minutes away from me, he was able to schedule me right after his current appointment and make the trip up in the same day! His professionalism and customer service was top-notch!

Phenomenal experience with Carlos & CM Jetting!!  We had a clogged drain outside our house due to the recent rains which led to a flooded garage.  We received a few insane $$ quotes from other specialists but fortunately found Carlos.  He happily made a same-day house call at 7pm on a Sunday evening and assessed the situation.  He jetted the drain with his extremely professional rig (6k psi).  He not only cleared the drain but also explained how to fix the problem for the future.  He even dug a drainage ditch to help divert the water flow.  Way beyond the call of duty.  Carlos is refreshingly genuine in his approach, extremely personable and fair in his rates.  He followed up the next day to ensure the problem remained fixed.  I trust Carlos and highly reccomend his services!

Carlos had some valuable advice on garbage disposals and fixing  cast iron pipes without doing a major renovation. He answered all questions and was very honest and fair about advice.

Carlos came out with little notice on a Saturday afternoon to jet a clogged main line. The price was SUPER fair and now I'm getting a quote from CM on additional work. This is a solid, family-owned business and all of San Diego should show them some love!

I am very impressed by Carlos. We had an emergency sewer pipe issue and he came out quickly. He was able to diagnose the issue before even imaging the pipe. He cleared the pipe quickly by jetting it, and then imaged the pipe and found the issues. He then found a more serious issue in a different pipe that was causing flooding under the house. He captured a video of that so we can send to the home insurance company. We hadn't even thought to check that part of the plumbing until we talked with him. Like everyone else here, totally agree that Carlos is the best.  Came pretty late at night to help jet our clogged sewer line.  A great worker, who knows his stuff, and a great guy as well.  Communicates exactly what's going on and what the problem is, how to fix it and how to prevent it.
Don't get me wrong, I don't ever want to deal with sewer issues and the S*#$ that comes with it, but if I do he's the first and only person I'll be dealing with.

Cleared an outdoor downspout in-ground drain of roots and mud, and even helped locate the exit (buried in bushes far downhill).

CM Jetting successfully cleaned out a very complex system of blocked landscape and gutter drains.  I have a large property and our drainage system was completely clogged due to roots, leaves, and neglect, almost flooding our house last winter.

He was able to clean it out in a day. Several pipes and perhaps over a hundred feet. I was thinking it would take two days and might be impossible.  He saved me from having to excavate a lot of concrete.  All the drains now drain perfectly.

Carlos is a real pro and knows his trade.  He gave me a completely honest assessment of the problem and then went about and fixed it.  He was careful to not damage anything.  His pricing is very reasonable, and you have to consider that with the quality equipment he has, he gets the job done very efficiently, leading to more savings.

On top of all that, he is a wonderful guy.  He listened patiently to what I had to say and communicated what he was going to do.  A real pleasure to work with.  No reason for me to search around when I need drain work (and how many of us have never needed that?) again.

I've had a problem with my storm drains in my backyard. Major root problems. I've had at least 6 different companies check my problem and all wanted to cut the concrete to expose the roots and charge me 1000's of dollars. I got a hold of Carlos at CM Jetting, he came to the house today, and in 3 hrs, cleared all drains. Not for 1000's. $750.00... He is professional, has the latest equipment, cleaned up when he finished, and like me, he loves 70's rock. If you have a drainage issue, don't think twice. Call Carlos.

Carlos is the best. I got him recommended by a friend and I called him 2am in the morning. He answered and replied. Regardless our misunderstanding, I called him again in the morning at 8am to schedule for our emergency right away. Carlos was awesome from the beginning to the end! He showed up when he was supposed to and he originally was going to scope out the sewer under our older home not knowing what he would find. He was able to find the lost clean outs and remove sludge and buildup in the sewer by  in clean..
He took his time to find the hidden bends and clogs and was very thorough. I appreciate all of his hard work and plan to call him again in the future for other projects.

What a find!!!!
I found Carlos from CM Jetting Services on Yelp on Friday 12/2. I needed my main house drain and my main landscape drain's cleaned out. Carlos who is the owner and his son Jason came today Saturday 12/3. He was on time. He then outlined his procedures for both projects and completed them both within two hours. He is very professional, knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. I would definitely use his company again! My wife who is a Realtor plans on using him for his knowledge on her future transactions.

I find it rare these days when we find a service professional who meets, much less exceeds expectations. Carlos was very knowledgeable when I inquired about a clogged outdoor corrugated pipe that was running from our backyard to the street. He gave tons of helpful information and a very reasonable quote. When he came to address the issue he was courteous, informative and transparent every step of the way. He identified the clog, flushed it out and identified where the line ran underground to save us a lot of money and hassle moving forward if we wanted to make future adjustments. We appreciated the quality, the price point and the flexibility to do what was needed. Definitely recommend.

This review is long over due.

In about a months time living in my new townhouse (rented) the kitchen sink failed to drain properly. It was only a matter of time as there had been two different occupants before me in about a ten year span. My landlord got someone in there ASAP, but the problem returned after a day and the plumber recommended a betting service instead of a snake. Nervous about the cost of jetting, my landlord and I started searching up this service. Multiple well-known plumbing companies came out and tried to hustle him for $800-$1200 to run a jet through the pipes.

I found Carlos and decided to give him a call and I'm so glad I did. He's an honest business man and down right, hardworking. He gave me a quote that I almost couldn't believe. He came out right away and handled the problem in little to no time. He even took the time to educate us on the process. He's very personable and even shared with us his entrepreneurial journey.

I have used Carlos to do a sewer inspection 4x in the last six months and he is always professional, prompt and courteous.  He tells me like it is without drama and with suggestions on how to fix it (third party vendors as needed).  He is my go to guy for sewer inspections. My drainage pipes outside were clogged causing a huge flood due to the rain yesterday. Straight shooter! This man gets straight to the point, from cost to solutions. Priced it very fair and out beat competitors by price and class. Came first thing in the morning, on time, verified all concerns, and walked me through the entire process. He eased my concerns over the phone, solved my problems, saved me money, and schooled me all at the same time. I highly recommend him to everyone.

Carlos was extremely professional and worked very hard. He was unfortunately unable to unclog our patio drain but NOT from lack of effort or professional equipment (thick Palm roots from years of neglect by previous home owner). Carlos is a man of integrity and high personal values. He did not charge us the full estimated cost because he felt on principle he could not after hours of hard labor did not resolve the clog issue. We will have to dig up the pipe and lay a new one likely. I WILL be calling Carlos for future drain and pipe cleaning work. I highly recommend his services. All other drains and downspouts were cleaned to perfection.

Carlos did a great job in cleaning out an outdoor drainpipe that hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.  He showed me a place where the pipe had become slightly separated and explained the best way to fix it.  I'd recommend Carlos to anyone.

The hardest thing to find in a plumber or a specialist is trustworthiness. Carlos and his company are trustworthy. They did a camera inspection, jetting, and descaling of the pipe from my laundry. They scoped 50 ft of old cast iron plumbing and cleaned everything up. The old cast iron pipes are now opened up and all clear! He only charged us for descaling 20 ft instead of 50 ft of the plumbing. Solid pricing for all of his services!

We also enjoyed talking to Carlos about his work and life philosophies and can sense that he is here to do a good job, even if he has to leave some money on the table because he won't rush through a job to get to the next one.

Great experience.  My wife and I are trying to buy a house, but it is 60 years old and has cast iron pipes.  We wanted to make sure that there were no hidden surprises as we move forward.  Carlos and his son were set up for the inspection before I even got there.  They were quick, thorough, and very professional.  Carlos brought me around back to where he had run his camera through the lines, and I got to see the whole inspection.  It is kind of like a colonoscopy for a house, so it was interesting to see.  He called out some issues, and even a spot that had been well repaired during a previous break.  I spent a good deal of time talking with him after the job was done, and when he found out I was a veteran (20 years Navy), he was very grateful.  I was impressed with his work ethic, and willingness to hang around and answer some of my questions after the job was done.  I saved his card in case we need work in the future, or if I can recommend his business to anyone else.  In fact, our church has been having some backing up issues, so Carlos might be getting another call from us soon.  I know we can count on him for a fair price, excellent work, and honest conversation.  Thanks, Carlos!

Adding to my review- for years I was told I had a belly in my main line 100' up my driveway and that I should have annually cleaning done to prevent back ups.
It wasn't until CM Jetting came to clean my line that I was informed I need to clean the line to 140'. He took the time to camera and show me the line in detail, the belly and jetting process. I am very impressed with his knowledge, equipment and techniques. He is a true master of his trade. They do not make people with integrity like CM Jetting anymore.

I've been SO impressed with his service that I've always paid him MORE than what he has charged.

I am a very hard grader of service suppliers, and rarely write reviews on Yelp, but I would give Carlos more than five stars if I could. I had some landscape drainage that needed attention after about 20 years, and another hydro-jetting/drain cleaning service (which I won't name) accomplished absolutely nothing in over two days and essentially abandoned the job. In contrast, Carlos was responsive, came with very sophisticated equipment (unlike the other service), explained everything, had the entire problem completely fixed in about three hours, and was, I thought, reasonably priced. He also completely mapped out my drainage system (with several surprises to me, even though I built my house about several dead runs which had never been connected to any drains). THIS is the service to use. I would use him again without hesitation and would recommend him completely.

I called Carlos this morning to inquire about hydro jetting services for our main sewer line, as well as our backyard drainage system. An hour later he showed up and got the job done in a few hours. He took his time and did a very thorough job. All his equipment is top of the line. I highly recommend him if you need hydro jetting service or just your lines scoped. He has a camera too and gives you the video on thumb drive after the work is completed.

Called asking for a quote for hydrojetting (for kitchen sink/sewer line) and the technician who picked up my call was very knowledgeable!
They asked me some questions regarding the issues I've been having and after telling them all I know they were able to diagnose the issue.

Because I'm on a second level unit (condo) the technique to avoid flooding will be more troublesome and cost more. If i cannot find a better quote elsewhere I'll definitely contact CM Jetting!

We called Carlos as a repeat customer to clear our backyard drains.  He was punctual and very knowledgeable.  He has state-of-the art new equipment and is reasonably priced.  We are happy to refer him to our neighbors!

Carlos did an awesome job unclogging our backyard storm drain. Very prompt in communication and flexible in availability, they quoted us a very fair and reasonable price range based on expected work. They worked hard to clear out years of root and soil buildup in our storm drains and while they were unable to get rid of a final large root, they stripped it down as much as possible and provided a great deal of information about where it was in the pipe, where it was coming in from, and further options if we decided to try and remove it completely. Despite that root, the drains are clearing beautifully and we've been told by others that the root will likely run out of steam on its own (leftover from a tree we removed a few years ago) and we likely won't need to do anything further. All of that and they still came in at the low end of their quote! We are super happy with their service and professionalism and while I don't think we'll need them again for these drains, if we need them for some other drains we would not hesitate to call. Another number to add to our list of 'go to' local services!

Carlos was a true professional with exceptional customer service.  He is easy going and gets down to work immediately.  Even though we had a very difficult job here at Liberty Station, he stayed numerous hours on two different days until he finally resolved the clog.  He cleans up meticulously and leaves everything as near perfect as you can get.  Considering the time spent, his prices were reasonable and we are 100% satisfied with his work.  Knows his trade... highly recommended!!!

I had palm roots in my patio drain.  I first tried a plunber who used a snake, but that didn't work.  I called Carlos who was out of town but came to the house that night about 7 p.m.  In a short amount  of time, he used his specialized equipment,  and cleared the drain completely. I saw everything via his camera.  I was very pleased with his services and his job knowledge and experience.   He also gave me a few tips to help keep my pipes free of tree roots.  I highly recommend Carlos.  Don't hesitate to call him.

Our patio drains became plugged last year, and with all the rain we had, our patio kept flooding. We thought for sure it was tree roots, and it would be an expensive fix. Carlos came out and used his high powered hose to try and blow out the debris. He did, and he also showed us that it was not roots, but 23 years of debris that got jammed at an intersection in our drainage pipes. He showed us how to prevent this from happening. He worked quite awhile to find the issue, and then fix it.  I highly recommend CM Jetting Services.

Carlos did a tremendous job when he came to my house to hydrojet my downspout drains outside. We figured out that one of my downspouts actually drained to my garden bed and he suggested a quick fix which helped me a lot to deal with the rain from the storm. I called a few other companies and their price seemed very unfair compared to CM. This is definitely the best choice for hydrojetting in San Diego. Carlos is very honest, reputable, and a great professional.

Don't hesitate; just call them. We called 2 other services (who never called back), but when we called Carlos late on a Friday afternoon he answered right away. He came out on Sunday for no additional charge (!) to hydro-jet our old kitchen and bathroom lines that have given us trouble (slow draining and clogging) for many years. He was very professional and friendly, took the time to explain things, and was patient with our questions and concerns. He was extremely knowledgeable and corrected bad information that we'd previously been given by other drain cleaning companies. His rates were very reasonable and we don't hesitate to highly recommend him.  Great guy and stellar service!

Need drain work?  Look no further.  You have found the vendor you are looking for.  Seriously.

Carlos is gold.  Family owned and operated business.  He's a good person and values relationships.  When you call CM, you are getting the founder of the business servicing you personally.

His prices are easily HALF or less of the going market rate. He doesn't look for ways to screw you when you're in need (like changing his hourly rate when you need service most).  

But, most importantly of all, he does DAMN good work and uses the absolute best equipment available.  He's been in the business a long time and realized that specializing in hydro-jet work and buying the best equipment available and doing the work himself would put him in the position to do great work for people at a great price, and have a good time doing it.

Just call these guys and stop thinking about it.  Your house will thank you.  The only thing you will regret is not calling him sooner.

If your drain is clogged -- let's stop for a moment and look at your typical alternatives--

Call a regular plumber and get your pipe snaked.  This is what most people do.  The guy will show up and run his attachment on the drill and get the drain to unclog.  This won't really clean your pipes, but it will give you a quick fix.  The work will be overpriced, given that the job does not require much effort/skill and doesn't make use of any sophisticated equipment.  The guy will be in and out and make a quick buck.  Your clog will likely come back.

Call one of the typical fancy logo'd van rip-off plumber operations ... pay the big price for the big name, so they can send the B team there (who's getting paid the minimum, and likely doesn't have much experience) to either do what said regular plumber guy above would do, but charge you 2X-3X.... OR they will actually just call a guy like Carlos, and charge you 3-4X what he is charging them.  Trust me.  It's true.  

Yes, that is right.  If you aren't getting a quick snake job, chances are they are calling in a 3rd party like Carlos to do hydro-jet work and marking it up a TON.  Just go direct.  Call CM.

If you don't know what the heck a hydro-jet is - think about it like this - it's like an intense pressure washer cleaning the inside of all your drain pipes... whereas a snake is like drilling a hole through whatever is stuck in your pipe.  Big difference.  The hydro-jet can clean all your house drains and go all the way out to the city sewer, cleaning your underground main drain line along the way.  Carlos can also run a camera through the system while he's doing it so you can take a look at the state of affairs inside your plumbing.   And in a place like San Diego, where you have some serious mineral deposit risks from the city water, this is a good idea.  

And let me say this - I have NO affiliation with this business, and I spoke with 5-10 different plumbers on a Saturday morning, and Carlos had every drain in my house, along with the main underground drain line going out to the city... all clean as a whistle, by Saturday afternoon.  

I've worked with contractors for about 20 years at this point, and I've done whole house rebuilds.. and I can say this much - finding people like Carlos and CM Jetting is just a godsend.  These are the types of vendors that you hang on to for life and recommend to all your friends.  Trust me, I know.  I've been through it all, from dealing with the best to the worst.

Carlos quoted a good price, lower than big name plumber I called first, and was able to get to my house the next day, a Saturday.  He has some impressive equipment and clearly knows what he is doing.  Best of all he's a stand up, honest guy.  I was in the middle of a remodel and some of our drain lines were exposed. Carlos advised that if it were his house, he would replace/reroute our sewer lines...they were too old and we shouldn't have the lines jetted after all. So he made the trip to our house on a Saturday and then advised us that jetting would be wasted money.  We checked with our contractor, who agreed it would be much better to redo the sewer lines. Will definitely use Carlos for all future drain clearing needs.

Carlos is the man.  Had him come out three separate times because my drains are in bad shape and he cleared them every time.  Honest dude and takes his time to get the job done right.  Thanks Carlos!

If you ever have a drained clogged call Carlos, you can't ask for a more professional, honest, determined person to work with on a plumbing issue. We had a storm drain that a large plumbing contractor said that they had cleared only to test it after they left to find that it in fact had not been done. Carlos showed up as agreed, explained the issue and away he went. He successfully cleared the drain, ran a camera down the entire drain to look for any other spots of issue (even marked a couple of spots where we were having weeds go through the pipe that may be an issue in the future).  

Carlos is now my go to guy for any drain issues.

Carlos is the best!

After a few months of purchasing our first home, we had a plumbing catastrophe that left us without running water for three days! Our homeowner's warranty covered the cost for three plumbers to come out and tell us that they couldn't fix the issue unless we promised our first born. I mean, 3k to just assess the situation. We finally decided to go off the warranty grid and contact Carlos at CM Jetting Services.  After shopping around for someone who could come over at 4pm on a Friday, Carlos graciously agreed to load up his truck and meet us at our home...for far less than the first 2 hydro jetting providers.

Carlos was punctual, factual, and super dedicated to fixing our plumbing disaster.  He surveyed our area and identified different ports for entry before he started jetting...super important when you have old cast iron pipes from 1929! He gradually increased the PSI using a special head for his jetting hose and BAM! We were flowing once again :)

He is knowledgeable, informative, helpful, and patient. He was here for over 3 hours and never seemed rushed. He spoke of how he understands that that in his line of work, he has to be available around the clock and treat others' emergencies as his own.  He values his customers and his reputation.  When he left, we were dissonanced by wanting to see him again but not. lol.

P.S. He has other plumbing experience (not just hydro jetting) and heating and cooling.  We'll be calling him when we're ready to install our air conditioning.

Carlos is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything that he was doing. He was able to blast out all the dirt and rocks in my line that a snake just could not (can not) take care of. After he was done, his camera showed an extremely clean pipe. Great guy to work with, very customer service oriented, fair prices. If Carlos can't do it, no one can. Save money and get it jetted, not snaked.

Having your newly installed washing machine overflow is never fun. Carlos came out within an hour of me calling him. I explained that we recently had plumbing work done, new clean outs installed, sewer line replaced. He took the time to listen to us and explain what needed to be done. Carlos meticulously cleared the sludge from the lines and even stayed with us while we ran a test wash cycle to ensure the lines were clear. Carlos took pictures of the problem areas for our contractor as well.  I highly recommend Carlos!  He got the job done and fixed the sloppy work of another company.  Great work and super nice guy who cares about his customer service.

I stumbled upon their website in a desperate need of a plumber as my sink clogged and noticed some foul smell and dirty water coming out of the sink when i tried to use a plunger. As to my luck , Carlos came in like a few minutes after i called and fix it. I am so lucky that their business is very near my place. He is very professional and very attentive to very small details. Finally someone honest and willing to give advice without trying to sell or up-sell you. I am a Real Estate Broker and have had to deal with lots of different camera inspection companies in my 17 years of working as an agent. I am glad to see that there is still honest businesses out there. He reviewed a previous sewer line inspection we had done and gave me some advice for now and in the future.
