Established in 2007.
As a Poway long time resident I decided to start my Handyman business in 2007 ,I grew up in PQ/Poway as a young teen attending the local middle school, Black Mt middle school and then Mt Carmel, and then into Poway to finish my high schooling, During my Middle School/Highschool years I would work with my Father who owned a Professional handyman company,I worked with him after school and basically every single weekend I had a pretty good understanding of the trades after many years of grunt work,so once out of high school I was hired on as a apprentice for Kraft General Contractors, where we would do anything our customers would request from us, 6yr I was Promoted to Job manager to Job Foreman. Wanting a change I worked with a Handyman company for 4 years servicing RB,PQ,SD, Also working for a Property Maintenace company for 3yr I needed a new change So I stared my own business . and now 13 year later I am truly blessed to be successful and busy to this vary day. I called to get an estimate for installing bathroom ventilation fans. The experience was completely unprofessional, and indicated that they are not taking on new work.
The gentleman answered the phone with Whaadup! I stated that I would like an estimate for an electrical installation. He, in a mocking tone, mirrored my words exactly, what sort of electrical installation would you like an estimate for. Then, as I began to explain, he interrupted me, saying, I don't wanna do this, I'm retired, and hung up the phone.
Not sure why this business thinks this practice is acceptable, but I definitely won't ask for any work from them now.
I called. Christian called back, and we agreed that I'd email him a list we needed completed. I do so promptly -- ten routine items.
Didn't hear anything back for two days. Called and left message.
Again, no response.
Now the DE FACTO coronavirus lock down has taken effect, and so I won't get anyone to take care our rather routine projects.
Unsat.

UPDATE: Christian responded to my review. I guess this is a he said/she said situation at this point. I'm not going to go back and forth with him but I will post a picture of how one of our hinges was carelessly installed by him with the shims left sticking out.
Original Review: We called upon Christian to hang two doors for our master bedroom. Our original appointment was on Friday at 9:30, he text my husband at a few minutes before he was supposed to arrive and let him know that he could not make it due to car problems. Not the greatest first impression but life happens so we agreed to reschedule to today.
Christian arrived this morning about 15 minutes late. He got to work on our doors. My husband went upstairs to check and he realized that Christian had cut a hole in the wrong door. My husband mentioned this to Christian and Christian acknowledged the issue. The only solution was that he get a different type of doorknob. Christian left to Home Depot to get an alternative type of doorknob.
Accidents happen and I understand that but here is what I have a problem with. When he was all finished and it was time to pay he charged us an extra $20. When my husband asked what the extra charge was for he said it was for the doorknob that he had to buy due to HIS mistake. He told my husband that when we returned the doorknob that we originally bought we would get a refund. While that is true, we now have to be inconvenienced to make an extra trip to return hardware because he made a mistake. Also, he should have run that by is before he decided to buy a new doorknob. I do not agree with this business practice. Also, he told us there is a $7 charge to use a credit card. That was not advised before the job. My husband came to tell me and I told him that I would write a check including the $20 for his mistake because I am not going to get into a fight about $20.

- He is unprofessional
- He canceled our first appointment
- He was late to our second appointment
- He made a mistake and cut a hole in our door
- He charged us to fix his mistake
- He charges a $7 fee for credit card transactions
Had Chris come by today to install a bedroom ceiling fan and install a bathroom faucet. Its been awhile since we contracted his services, but pretty happy with the result. Price quoted for the work was excellent. He worked quick, efficiently and the final installation looks outstanding. Second time we've requested his service and can't be happier!
Had Christian replace some insulation foam and fix some corbles. Replies in a timely manner. Shows up as scheduled. Friendly and easy going. He stands by his work.
He does a wide variety of repairs and remodeling. Highly recommended.
I tried for hours fixing my garage entry door after I gave up I decided to call This place and I am so happy that I did , it only took the guy about 10 minutes. He was fast , easy, affordable, and my dog even liked the guy and my dog is hard to please:-)

Christian is THE BEST! I called him near one hour prior to even being open this morning in a panic! I needed him to install an under the cabinet microwave. He responded promptly. I texted him a picture and said he would come today. He let me know what time I should expect him and was on time! This was extremely reassuring because I contacted three different companies and no one would help me! When Christian arrived, on time as promised, he was extremely professional, knowledgeable, efficient and within less then a half an hour my new microwave was installed! I am so incredibly thankful for his dedication and his willingness to help me! I know I now have Christian's Handyman Services for any and all my future needs! Thank you Christian!
This guy has gotten such good reviews that I decided to give him a call. He might do the best work ever but since he didn't get back to me I guess I'll never know.

Christian is a true professional. He has completed a variety of jobs (plumbing, cabinetry, electrical, wall repair, and other basic handyman jobs) over the past few years for me. He's never disappointed. He's always on time with a smile and all tools necessary for the job. His prices are fair and he does an outstanding job! Christian was super helpful and did an excellent job! He was really easy to work with and was flexible working with my difficult schedule. He showed up on time and was here for several hours as I had a huge to do list. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good handyman!!!
Christian came to install a door for me same day I reached out to him days before the big holidays. Very easy to work with and price was very reasonable. He came when other big companies told me I would have to go weeks without a front door. Christian saved my holiday and most likely all my personal items. Thanks agin Christian! Needed some hinges replaced on a shower door and Christian came through in a big way! Great communication throughout the entire process (locating the hinges and scheduling an install date). Christian installed an automatic cat flap in the interior door leading from our house to the garage. It was done beautifully. Highly recommend.

We really appreciated Christian's willingness to come over and hook our washer and dryer. He also installed a dog door in the door of our utility room. Courteous, on time, and easy to work with. He went the extra mile to help us get the right sized dog door the same day.
I've programmed his number into my phone and will definitely call on him again.

I called Christian to trouble shoot a light that was not working at a rental we have in Poway. Within 30 minutes he was at the rental, had the electrical switch on his truck and the problem was fixed within the hour. I will be calling him again soon. Thanks Christian!
Great work! I purchased the wrong size toilet and he exchanged it for me. I felt comfortable enough to give him a key because I had to go to work and everything turned out great. Will definitely use again!

Called Chris to handle a shower door install. Did a great professional job. Kept his work area clean, and made sure the shower area was clean once he left. I've also had Chris do some painting and other fixes around the house. Great and reliable... you can't go wrong!
Christian responded very quickly to our call and was able to quickly and efficiently fix our two doors in our garage. They were sticking due to the heat and he did a fabulous job fixing them - we don't have to push with all our might anymore trying to get in or out! We would not hesitate to call him for any other home repairs that may come up.

I hereby proclaim Christian the best handyman I've had so far -- and I've had some great ones. I called him on the basis of the Yelp reviews. I had nearly a half dozen things that needed to be fixed, including securing a mirror to a dresser (I didn't know it had been unsecured for 5 years and was a reason I called him), putting in a new thermostat, fixing one screen and making and putting in another, and fixing some shelves etc. He was very fast on his response, did a superb job and after at times trying some of those big handyman companies his price was reasonable. NOW I'm in entertainment and I know sometimes when someone says reasonable, it means the tendency is to undercharge. No, in the case of handymen (or handypersons) there are companies that do put a big FEE on top. He gets an a plus on response, showing up on time, fixing the problems (including in some ways I didn't think of). HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I'll be using him as THE person if I need the help. Also, he needed a few things and he zipped out the door to the Home Depot neaby, zipped back in -- and as I write this sooooooo much is now fixed in my Penasquitos condo.
I called Christian today for the first time, based on the positive recommendations I read on Yelp. He called me within less than two hours, made time to come within an hour after that and fixed a closet door, toilet, garage door, floor molding and doorbell quickly and without any issues. He's very friendly, knowledgeable from what I can tell and his rate was very reasonable. I will be putting his info in my contacts for sure, and will happily call on him for future work. Christian was professional and courteous. He had an excellent sense of design. He tackled multiple decor picture hangings, as well as mirror placements in record time. I was so impressed. If you want a reliable honest person that truly takes pride in his work, look no further than him. Thanks to Christian, my home looks like I had a home stager come in as well.
Christian is a wonderful person and he is very skilled at what he does. We had a leak in the plumbing and he did a thorough inspection and figured out where the leak was coming from. Our shower upstairs was leaking behind the wall so a simple fix ended up becoming a very time consuming repair. He was very patient throughout the process and explained what he was doing step-by-step. Then he made sure that everything was good before he left. He also did not charge us an arm and a leg for his job. Considering how extensive and time consuming this job was, we thought that his fee was very reasonable. While working on this project, we got to know Chris well and we can say that he is a very honest and friendly person. He doesn't do much advertising but he gets many clients through just word of mouth which is a testament to the quality of his job and his great personality. I have worked with a few unfriendly and shady handyman before but he is someone you can trust. You can't go wrong with him. Trust me.
