Another great job by Nestor! Called Presidents Day morning and they were open! I had a water heater problem and they scheduled me at 230. Nestor texted me at 1030 and said he was ready to go now if I was available. Needless to say I met him and there and were were fixed with 20 to 30 minutes.

I recently needed to have the dripping faucet in the kitchen and a dripping outside outlet fixed. I called California Plumbing, described my problem, received some idea what it might cost, and arranged service appointment. The plumber showed up promptly on time.I showed him the faucet and dripping outside outlet. He said he could repair the kitchen faucet, but because they were an older Ghroe model, he had to get a type of cartridge not in his stock. He called and ordered the cartridges and said he would return next day to install. When he started repairing my outside outlet, he also tested water pressure, as the regulator is at that location. He determined I had very high water pressure, which would explain some minor plumbing issues we noticed occasionally. The regulator was at least ten years old, so he advised replacing it. Told me what it would cost, and I said OK. Job completed that day in short period of time. Next day, he arrived on time (perhaps a little early), and installed the new cartridges, and everything was complete. The plumber, whose name I do not recall, was extremely professional, polite, efficient, and knowledgeable. He did what he said he would do, when he said he would do it. I can see the improvement in my running water as a result of the new regulator. Thanks to the plumber from California Pluming.

I had a leak in a wall / ceiling and Chris came out and handled it like a boss. He was straight forward and answered all my questions. Such good prices and work that I had them take on a second job I had been waiting on tackling.

Second job was for a gas line to be moved to a more convenient location. Nestor helped me out and was quick and efficient. He was cool and did a solid job.

My bathroom sink was clogged, I called at 4pm and was able to get an appointment the next morning, quick service! The deduction of stars is due to the receptionist trying to charge me a fee for a plumber to come out. On their website it stated free estimates. The receptionist then said she would ask her manager if she could waive the fee when I said never mind I'll go somewhere else, and then came back on the phone to say they could waive the fee .
However, the plumber that came out-Robert was awesome. He deserves 5 stars. Robert took the time to explain how to resolve the issue and best treatment. He didn't try to upsell me or overcharge me. The price was reasonable and the problem is fixed. Robert was great and I'd call again if I had another issue.

We had previously had our shower repaired by another plumbing service. After that repair, the shower made a horrible screeching noise every time it was turned on. We called California Plumbing and they sent out Joseph R. to do an estimate. He was on time, professional, friendly, and helpful. We got the estimate and booked the repair for two days later. Again, Joseph R. was on time and helpful. He completed the repair quickly and correctly, leaving no mess behind. No more screaming shower.

It's a new house for me with lots of things to figure out lol. One of those being the main garbage disposal that decided not to work anymore. California Plumbing is the place to call, make sure you request Devan, he's amazing! He quickly diagnosed the problem as well as identifying a couple other things that were beginning to wear out. I had already purchased a new disposal as well as the push button that controls the on/off. Both were in need of replacement which Devan handled quickly and efficiently. I had asked for a quote before the appointment, and that's what I paid.

Can't speak highly enough about Devon's professionalism and expertise! He's my go to from now on!

I would give 6 Stars if I could because I felt informed, a sense of trust and honesty. I will 100% call California Plumbing for any future needs.

I had a leaky outdoor shut-off valve and I needed two toilets installed and while I had one estimate which said I was going to have concrete remove for the outdoor effort, the way Chico explained it made it more understandable versus the other company which stated the cost and actions to be taken. Without explaining why, it raised suspicions and I sought other quotes and I'm glad I did.

I had only need the outdoor shut-off valve fixed since it was leaking and I decided to just continue to have the toilets installed. I was very happy to learn the cost included removal and disposal of the original toilets and the boxes the new toilets were shipped in.

Chico was very professional, took care in my home and his work and while the cost was not cheap, it was equal to value of effort and quality. The estimate was clear, fair and California Plumbing will be the name I share when a friend or neighbor asks Do you know a good plumber?.

My Technician Mikey Reyes was professional, helpful, and knowledgeable on all the issues I was having with my old water heater and provided affordable solutions in a time efficient manner.
I had no hot water in my house and the issue was fixed the next day with some upgrades to my piping system in my house.
Things like this can be stressful in the moment and hard on the wallet however California Plumbing made me feel comfortable and gave me honest advice tailored to my situation. I didn't feel rushed, pushed, or persuaded to spend more than I Had to.

Benji and Ernesto are amazing -- extremely professional, hardworking, and pleasant to deal with. We were remodeling a room and bathroom which required completely removing and relocating the existing plumbing and water heater. It was a lot of work but they finished it quickly for a very reasonable price. Throughout the process, it felt more like they were partners in our project than service providers. Benji came out to give me an estimate and walk through different options, including reinstalling the water heater in a way that will allow me to switch over to tankless in the future. When they started the work, they discovered that I had a large leak in my main water line and again gave me options for fixing it and walked me through the process. I'm thankful they discovered this and they were able to replace it while they were doing the other work. Not only were they quick and reasonable, but they take a lot of pride in their work making sure everything is done right. California Plumbing is definitely now my plumber for anything I need in the future and the name I will pass on whenever anyone asks. (For reference, I had reached out to another plumber that was referred to me before I found California Plumbing and that plumber never even showed up.)

What a great Experience!

I called without cold water pressure in my kitchen sink/fridge and some issues with a reverse osmosis system installed by Culligan. I spoke with Rachel and she was super friendly and helpful. She quickly got me an appointment and had Jaime out to my house the next business day. Jaime was amazing, speaks clearly, clean, kind.. (no sweaty butt crack hanging out!) and HONEST. He worked quickly, got everything working and even corrected some mistakes made by the Culligan guy. Honestly I couldn't be happier with the service, experience, and price. THANK YOUUUUU! ( Did I mention he was right on time? Called me by my name and already knew what was going on from the small bits I had told Rachel when I made the appt? California Plumbing is a great plumbing company. The owner Aaron provides great service, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We noticed that the two sings in our master bathroom were leaking from underneath. Seeing as my husband and I both work full-time jobs and have kids - we didn't make it priority. I finally realized that the problem was out of control and needed help. Aaron was referred to me by one of my best friends. He was super responsive and very well priced. Before he came out to our house, he diagnosed our problem over the phone and told us to buy two new faucets. He came to our house the following day, fixed the faucets and was done in less than 15 minutes. If you have minor or serious plumbing issues - I highly recommend Aaron. He is very knowledgeable and professional and will get the job done. So great to know that we have a trusted team at California Plumbing to take care of our plumbing needs moving forward. You guys... USE THESE PLUMBERS!!!
I have a crazy money pit house story and have had at least 6 different plumbers come out to my house mostly sent by Home Warranty companies. Aaron and his hero of a crew were recommended by a friend and I am SOOOOO happy I made the call to have them come out and test my drains after the warranty company's plumber found and fixed the leaks. They are diligent, hard workers. They have actually found and fixed a ridiculous number of leaks and have promised not to leave my home until they find them all and complete the repairs. I have such confidence that when they are done I can put the walls back up without any more water in my walls! They have been kind and sensitive of my budget and situation. Aaron even brought a couple big fans out on his weekend to make sure everything got dried out from all the wet work locating all the leaks! Seriously the best crew of plumbers! Keep up the good work and integrity! Thank you for the help and peace of mind!!!

First off... The name... California Plumbing, at 421 Date Ave, Imperial Beach 91932. Be sure that this is the California Plumbing you are looking for. I noticed several other California Plumbing businesses with variations on name or same when I went to write this review.
Second, the price quoted is the price I received even though other plumbers would and have in the past added on to the bill.
Narration: I needed four half inch angle valves replaced and have the water lines reconnected. Not only were the lines reconnected but my plumber replaced the old ones with new. Flanges to the wall were also replaced. The job was QUICK, QUIET, PROFESSIONAL, and CLEAN.
LASTLY the communication was mostly via YELP messaging and worked great. Fast also, and little chance for miscommunication as everything is in writing already :)

Everyone is nervous when they call a plumber, well don't be California Plumbing is a name you can trust. (Note: As I said earlier be sure you are getting the right California Plumbing as there are more than one.)

For years our tub kept clogging, even when using a hair trap. After trying a few different plumbers in San Diego, we called California Plumbing to see if they could fix it once and for all. Benji was our technician and he was so nice, explained everything clearly, and went over pricing before he completed fixing his diagnosis. After he unclogged the tub, we haven't had any issues whatsoever! We will definitely call him next time we need any plumbing work done! Now I see why they 5 star reviews! My tenant's garbage disposal stopped working yesterday. Typically when having any kind work done at the unit it's a pain. They'll only communicate w me versus the tenant they're meeting so I'm playing middlewoman coordinating schedules, which leads to a couple of days delay. I like to fix any problem my tenants have as soon as possible so I can't stand when there's delays for non-Sensical logistics.

Not California Plumbing! They were there the very next day in the perfect window of time we needed. They included my tenants right from the get go. Sent us both a message with our technician's picture. They even contacted my tenant for their arrival time and came early!

The price was incredibly reasonable, and then even gave me a discount on the replacement they see coming in the near future.

Fast, friendly, reliable, common sense service. It doesn't get any better than that!

I needed to have the sink in my master bath worked on. It was not draining properly, one of the faucets was stuck, and both handles were leaking. I called California Plumbing, and they scheduled me for the following day. I then received a text with the technician's name and photo. I appreciate this extra security step. The following day, Michael called to tell me he was on his way. I showed him the sink, and what I was hoping to have done. He showed me some corrosion on the handles, and suggested I have the faucet and handles replaced. Sounds good to me. He told me he would get the items and come right back. He then texted me photos of handle options. He came back and finished the job. He also noticed my water pressure was low. He'll come back and fix that, and also replace the handles and faucet on the second sink in the bathroom so they match.
Bottom line, I have never met a technician in any field who was as professional and helpful as Michael. He went right to work, and made sure everything was working properly. Thank you Michael, and thank you California Plumbing! I couldn't be more pleased.

Benji gave us a very fair and competitive quote to replace our old water heater. We also had a mystery leak somewhere in the house. Benji had an idea of where the leak was and how to fix it so we decided to use California Plumbing. Benji had the water heater replaced within an hour and then found a bad seal on an upstairs toilet that had caused the leaking. He had to raise the wax seal by elevating the mount, which he did in short order. We will definitely recommend and use Californian Plumbing for our future needs. Thank you Benji!

As part of a major renovation in 2008 Aaron did an extensive plumbing upgrade on our condo. His work was really fabulous; it was amazing how he made a difficult plumbing job in a very small place look great. A small area is difficult to work and Aaron really did a great job at the Condo.
In 2008 we bought some rentals in Long Beach and we decided to repipe and remodel them. We like Aaron a lot so we had him drive-up from San Diego to do the work in Long Beach. On the two units, he installed a tub, fixtures, hot & cold copper and complete drain system. Everything was great and the most cantankerous building inspector even said it was a good job and he found a lot of faults with the electrical and other construction items, but the plumbing sailed through the inspection.
Over the next few years we bought several more rental units in Long Beach and Imperial Beach and in each case we had Aaron come and do some major plumbing upgrades. At different times I have had to hire him to replace 4 water heaters, toilets, shower valves and a few other things. Aaron is very neat and very personable so it is easy to send him to a tenant's house and they all like his work and his most pleasant personality.
Over the years we have recommended him to people at work and friends; everyone is most satisfied with his work. If you hire Aaron you will be most satisfied with him.

My experience with this company was a nightmare and is costing me thousands of dollars to remedy my problem. I hired California Plumbing to perform a sewer camera inspection as a final check before moving forward with a home purchase. Aaron, the owner, hastily performed the inspection and reported there were no issues. At that time I took his verbal report and his statement on his receipt (provided in attached photos) as dependable proof that the plumbing was in good condition. Short of two weeks after purchasing the home, dirty water started to come out of my bath drain and my toilets started to gurgle and regurgitate toilet paper and waste. I found another company and they discovered the pipe Aaron inspected was the wrong one and they are digging over 6 feet underground to expose where the problem is. If you want someone that truly cares about the quality of their work and isn't centered on churning customers, do not hire California Plumbing.

Aaron has been extremely uncooperative, unhelpful, and non-compliant. I have asked him for a copy of the sewer scope video and he has yet to produce it. I am certain he does not have a copy and is anticipating me to stop requesting it. He actually tried to defend his shoddy job and absolve himself of any wrongdoing. I hope this review finds those who are searching for a plumber and deters them from moving forward with this company. Also if you are a victim of his shoddy service file a complaint against him with the BBB or DCA! This is the only way we can stop these businesses from continuing their operations.

I called California Plumbing and they came out within an hour and Zaby was very helpful and upfront. The pipe I thought needed to be repaired ASAP turned out it went to the sprinkler system.
He capped the line and told me to get PBC at a later time which saved me lots of money. Oh and he did not charge me for the visit.
These guys are straight shooters and I appreciate that very much.

Very happy with the service provided by California Plumbing. We had Stan Smith come out the very same day we needed assistance and he was able to fix the issues with our fridge valve. He was efficient, but above all extremely professional, friendly and courteous. He took time to explain to me the issues as well as how to best remedy them. I was 70 miles away from my home when I realized my bathroom sink hoses were leaking in my motorhome. I contacted several companies I found California Plumbing who was willing to come out the next day. Robert met me at my motorhome. He was on time and very pleasant. California Plumbing is a company who thinks out of the box with their customer service to be willing to work on plumbing in motorhome. I have been using Aaron and California Plumbing for a while and every time I am more impressed. Jaime and Aaron have completely re-piped one of my apartment buildings and have replaced old cracked cast iron pipes in my house. Every time they are professional and on time. Steps we took to clear clog which did not work.
1. Plugged both sinks with toilet plugged.
2., Pour Drano down both sinks.

4. Used 1 cup of Baking soda, 1 cup of hot boiling water with white vinegar into sink. then boiling water on both sides of
the sink.
5. Plugged both sides again. No go
6. Took apart two sessions of the pipes under the sink drained the water. Could not get into pipes.
7. Garbage disposal does work.

Absolutely the best experience I've had with any plumbing service and any other plumber EVER. I called California Plumbing to fix a kitchen sink that was leaking buckets from underneath the sink and had covered my whole kitchen floor with water. After the cleanup, I was constantly having to empty out containers catching the water and replacing towels to keep it somewhat under control. I live in an apartment, so I have to go through the (terrible) property management to resolve maintenance issues. They sent a plumber who seemed baffled by the problem and tinkered around for all of 5 minutes before getting up and telling me -in the form of a question- uh... I think it's fixed? Keep an eye on it. And was out the door. He actually ended up finding a way to make the problem worse! I was not about to call him back to work on the issue as he clearly had absolutely no idea how to fix. So I did some research and, based on other very positive reviews, called California Plumbing. They had a plumber at my door within the hour!

His name is Devan Elson, and not only was he a complete professional and a really nice guy; he was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain what the problem was in detail so that I could better understand what was going wrong and why! On top of that, he took the time to exhaust every other possible remedies, tested them in every way possible and made absolutely sure that nothing was overlooked before he left. AND the cost for the work at the end was totally reasonable and fair! I will be calling them for any plumbing needs in the future and I cannot recommend this company enough!!

I'm sorry that I am late in posting a review for this company. Last year I was having issues with my plumbing. My house was built in 1939 and some of the piping was cast-iron. Also I learned that the wrong types of connections had been used in the areas they had updated. I was getting lots of stopped up toilets.

I got three or four estimates. California plumbing was not the most expensive nor were they the cheapest. I contacted them for the work and I have not had one problem sense! Maybe it is good that I waited a year so that you know that The work they did is of good quality.

What a great find. Yes, the 5 star ratings are valid. Communication: great , promptness: great, price: great and they stick to their quote, quality of work: great! Devan did a great job moving our laundry room gas line. Have a 25yr old condo with a 25 yr old laundry room design. Problem is our 2022 washer and dryer were just a tight squeeze and the doors wouldn't quite close. The existing gas line stood out too far from the wall. Devan worked on redoing the pipes so that they would be snug to the wall. Now our front load washer and dryer fit and the doors close. Problem solved. I will definitely call these guys again when I have a plumbing issue.

I HIGHLY recommend California Plumbing! My experience from start to finish has been great.

My service technician Benji Escale was the absolute BEST - he was knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy and very friendly. From quote to project completion he was a pleasure to work with! I went through about 5 companies to get quotes to convert a linen closet to a washer/dryer room, all of which overcomplicated the work and used scare tactics on me to increase the price. This was my first time doing any major plumbing work, so I was very nervous. Benji came in and knew exactly what was needed for the job, and took the time to explain the work to me in a way that made sense. I am so happy I went with Benji - if you're looking for high quality work for a fair price you have to go with him.

Aaron, you are being disingenuous. The first person who did the leak detection was your subcontractor. The technicians told me they couldn't get the best guy to come out, so the first guy was not so good. The 2nd person who did detect the leak was from your same subcontractor. I paid you, California Plumbing; therefore, you are responsible for the work of your sub.

California Plumbing knew there was a leak in the culvert from the previous time (December) when you fixed the neighbor's leak in the same spot. (The large rectangle sinkhole on the east side of the road) At that time, you took precautions with the culvert, putting rocks and concrete paper on it. When you repaired both leaks this time, California Plumbing only put dirt with asphalt on top. 5 neighbors helped us repair it. We were all astounded that California Plumbing that knew about the issues with the culvert, would not use gravel, rock, or any other commonly known materials to plug up a large hole with water near it. The reason was the French GM did not want to spend another second on the repairs.

From the first request for information they were prompt and professional. I received a reminder notifications the day before and prior to arrival. Benji arrived and quickly looked at everything I needed. Within just a short while he was able to provide me an estimate for the handful of plumbing issues I needed worked on. We were able to come to an agreement for those items and he got straight to work. I did find one of the items to be a little too expensive for me at this time so we decided just not to do that one. I had an errand to run and left Benji to complete his services. When I came back he was just about complete. He worked quickly and everything was just as we agreed. Our shower drain got clogged (after 3 weeks of moving into the new house).

I contacted them the day before the service and it was past the regular business hours.

I got a reply within less than an hour.
They were upfront about the price and informed me that depending on how clogged the drain was it would be more.

We scheduled for the Friday ( I contacted them on Wednesday).

Chico was out plumber.
He arrived on time, went straight to the shower and started working on the problem.

He was fast, friendly and knowledgeable.
He told us because the house was built in the 60s the plumbing was wearing out. (Same thing the insurance plumber told us but wanted to charge us $800 to clean the drain)

He gave us options as to how to avoid the problem both short term and long term.

Very satisfied with the service.
I would definitely recommend them.
If I ever need plumbing services again I will not hesitate to contact them.

I would give California Plumbing 10 stars if I could. They identified the root cause of a plumbing issue I've had on and off for over 20 years. You can imagine I've had a lot of other plumbers out in that time period!

We had a bathroom faucet that needed to be replaced. The catch was that is was a pedestal sink and very tricky to replace. Aaron at California Plumbing was quick to get back to me on Yelp and super responsive with messages. He sent Devan to my home the next day to do an estimate and actually Devan ended up doing the replacement. Devan was extremely polite, professional and courteous as well as super knowledgeable. Our faucet replacement was a pain but you wouldn't know it by Devan's personality and demeanor. Great guy who even took the time to ask me how my day was going, all while in the midst of a complicated faucet replacement. We have more faucets that need to be replaced so we will be having California Plumbing back to do those faucets as well and hopefully we get Devan again as he was wonderful! There was a bathtub leak and they came for repair. Tech tried to charge $1500 for repair, when the only issue was a $20 leaking tub spout. Tried to tell me the shower valve was bad and too old and needed replacement and the tile had to be cut out. The valve is a Moen and only 3 yrs old and was in perfect condition. Repairman tried to scare me saying he will report to the HOA unless I allowed the billing. VERY dishonest company that tries to screw you and then threaten you. Watch out !

I needed my new home to be scoped as soon as possible before contingency were removed. I'm talking about having someone come out the next day! I called about 5 different places and almost all the prices were between $250-$300 which I was expecting already. The only issue was no one was available the next day... Sent a request to fix my clogged bathroom sink through Yelp over the weekend and received a very prompt response asking for my number to start scheduling an estimate first thing Monday morning. I called California Plumbing yesterday because I thought there was a leak in our laundry room pipes. They sent a technician within 2 hours and it turns out the pipes were not leaking but the drain had a blockage. The technician (Nestor) was on time, polite and explained the problem. Since I own a snake I decided to do it myself and he was fine with that, i was not charged for having him come to my house and quote me like some other companies do. Even though I didn't get anything done by them I was very satisfied with Nestor's customer service and professionalism.

So I couldn't clear the clog not even with an electrical auger I rented so I called them again, this time I got Zaby and his helper. They were on time, Zaby was very communicative and explained in detail all the options I had. They worked in a clean and organized manner and even placed my washer back how it was supposed to be (I had moved it before they arrived). Again, this crew just like the previous one, was very professional and I did not feel they were trying to up sell me like some other companies do. Hope I don't run into problems again but I will definitely use their services if needed in the future. Highly recommend them!

We had drainage issue in the back patio of our property. Whenever rained the water created big puddles on the concrete floor, which consequently filtered down pur crawl space.

Chico and his team created a project to evacuate the water from the patio to the street. During the work, an unexpected issue was encountered (a gas line leak), which impacted the initial project which escalated into a more complex one. Chico was able to act quickly and re-plan the project, walking us through everything with detailed information and responding all our questions.

We now have a successful drain, which is evacuating all the water our and far from our house foundation and crawl space.

This company and their team are really professional and knowledgeable. They work efficiently and are approachable. We really recommend them for any plumbing issues you have! We are using them for future projects, FOR SURE!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Aaron and his team! Our entire home had to be repiped due to faulty pex piping. The first time we had a pipe burst, we cleaned the flooding,had it patched, and called it a day. Within a year, it happened again, but worse. This time, we called in multiple professionals to get assessments and quotes. Aaron, by far, gave us the best first impression. Without even hearing his estimate, my husband and I agreed that we liked him most; he seemed to understand us best and was definitely the most open and honest. Awesome people! Had an emergency situation days before Chrostmas with no toliets/showers etc and short on funds. Nothing bad to say about California Plumbing. Quick to answer and send out a plumber. They were young but knowledgeable. Hector and Ernesto offered good suggestions and walked me through the alternatives for my bathtub that was backing up. When asked, they expressed their honest opinion about previous plumbing jobs done at the house. I was quite pushy about wanting to run the camera through the main line. Hector reached out to the Co. and set up an appointment to come back out the next day with the equipment and Ernesto who operates it. I also wanted footage as a reference, and Ernesto went back in there to record and handed me the USB, no ifs or buts. They cut nicely into the drywall which made it easier for me to patch, so thanks for that too. Fair pricing, btw!

We had a plumbing emergency at our shop on Sunday. I booked an appointment online through Yelp with California Plumbing for Monday at 10 am for which we received a confirmation email. My husband went in early to be there to meet the plumber, but right before the appointment we received an email (no call) saying that they would not be able to come by today. When we told them the nature of the problem and stressed the urgency, Rachel replied with Unfortunately, all of our techs are on big jobs and can't be pulled off. We should probably change the option to schedule an appointment online. No offer to reschedule, nothing. It was basically too bad for you. Horrible customer service. My wife and I are remodeling our bathroom and Mr. Aaron Hall was very professional over the phone and very kind to us.

For the free in home consultation, Mr. Hall promptly showed up to our condo and came upstairs to check out the bathroom. He was very in depth with questioning what are plans were so that he could envision what we had in mind for the development of our bathroom. Mr. Hall helped us set up the home with tarps and plastic coverage before he stared demolition. He demolished our full bathroom and took it down to the studs in under 3 hours, including the tub, vanity, toilet, and tile flooring. He gave awesome advice when it came to shower fixtures, upgraded toilets, and sinks.

Mr. Hall and his co-worker came the next time to set the cast iron shower pan and drain on the bathroom floor. When the tile guy came a few days later he was very nicely complimenting Mr. Hall's work with demo and setting the shower pan. Mr. Hall and his co-worker worked well together. They found the water pipes for our condo unit quickly and turned it off and set the plumbing for the shower.

My advice for you is to seek after California Plumbing to do your dirty work because whether it's a small job or a huge remodel project like we have, Mr. Hall and his workers are very diligent and easy to work with. They want to do great work and they are willing to work with other contractors on the same project. Very professional and upstanding plumbers. We couldn't be happier with the way our bathroom is coming together.

A BIG BIG thank you to Shane and Brandon at California Plumbing. We had a really bad clog in our shower drain, so bad that California Plumbing was actually our 3rd call. Two other plumbers were unable to unclog it, and both were recommending cutting open the drywall to extract the clogged section of pipe... Which definitely would have been an expensive repair. When Shane arrived he literally told me he wouldn't leave until it was unclogged and went to work. He even asked me if he should take his shoes off which really impressed my wife! He stayed persistent, tried several different methods and communicated the situation to me every step of the way. He ended up calling Brandon to come assist and with their perseverance they got it unclogged! Don't make my mistake, just call California Plumbing first.

Our toilet was plugged up for two days. We did 't have another bathroom available. California plumbing scheduled us to be service between 2pm to 4pm. Alex showed up hours earlier than that time. I contacted California Plumbing on a weekend about a malfunctioning Noritz tankless hot water heater. Things started out positive but went downhill quickly. They sent a technician out on Monday afternoon and he diagnosed the problem (for a $130 service call) and went out to his truck to contact Noritz. A short time later, he told me that he was on hold forever with Noritz but remembered the direct phone number to another contact (I assumed this was a direct number to a Noritz employee). He told me that the repair parts would be ordered (through this person) and that he (the California Plumbing technician) would let me know when the parts would be arriving. He also told me that the labor for the repair (once the parts were delivered) would cost between $1,100 and $1,500 (in addition to the $130 service call fee that I had paid). Tuesday--no call. Wednesday--no call. In the meantime, we haven't had any hot water since the previous weekend. I finally contacted the California Plumbing office (on Wednesday) and they said they would have the technician contact me. I got no call, so I called the California Plumbing office later on Wednesday afternoon and was told that they were waiting on Noritz to get back to them with a parts delivery date. I decided to call Noritz to find out what was going on with parts delivery. (I was speaking directly to a very helpful Noritz representative within 30 seconds after I made the call...so much for being placed on hold forever). Noritz had no record of California Plumbing ever calling them about my hot water heater. The Noritz representative also said that they always immediately let customers know when and if parts can be shipped. In my case, Noritz said that the parts I needed were available, and if California Plumbing would have contacted them on Monday, I probably would have had the parts the next day (Tuesday) via FedEx. Noritz stated that there is never a wait. Something wasn't adding up, so I relayed this information to California Plumbing. California Plumbing said that they used an intermediary to procure parts (not directly with Noritz), so that explained Noritz having no record of the parts request. On Thursday morning, I told California Plumbing that I needed the names of the necessary parts so that I could order them directly from Noritz. Shortly thereafter, California Plumbing advised me that the parts had been ordered. The parts finally arrived on Friday (I should have had them by Tuesday), but I did not call California Plumbing back to do the job. I called Bill Howe plumbing and they completed the job (on Friday) for under $500. I will never call California Plumbing again if I need plumbing work completed. They botched the parts ordering process (resulting in us going three extra days without hot water), and they were going to gouge me for labor.

BUYER BEWARE! I scheduled an appointment through Rachael for Cal Plumbing to install a new garbage disposal. I told her I had already purchased the disposal and the electrical cord, which was a plug in type. She quoted me $139. The technician showed up and wanted $200 to do the installation. Then, he said they would not provide a warranty unless I purchased their disposal for $350. I looked up their exact model online, and it was for sale at the local Home Depot for $107. I phoned Rachel. She said that they would charge $169 to install the unit I had already purchased with the electrical cord. I declined the price switch. The technician left. Then, Rachael called me back and said if the technician was around, he'd do the job for $139. I declined. I dislike giving a small business a bad review. But, BUYER BEWARE.

Had a plumbing emergency, our toilet clogged after a spicy wing challenge with friends. Called a few places and had to wait a couple days, it's not a good idea when all your roommates are men. Looked up on yelp and you guys came up. Talked to a very nice helpful girl over the phone (Crystal) she sent a technician asap and he was very friendly and awesome personality (Benji).

All an all you guys saved us. Clogged toilets are no joke in a house full of guys.

We had several jobs over several months that needed to be done. California Plumbing did a great job with communication throughout the process, including text alerts. Nestor had good expertise in many areas - water, gas line, pipes, appliances, etc.

Scheduling with Rachel was easy and collaborative. They always arrived on time or communicated any changes that were needed.

The prices are reasonable. They won't be the lowest price, but they also are much better than other companies.

We had a great experience with this company and with Benji who came out to install an outdoor rain shower next to our jacuzzi. Estimating and scheduling was super easy, all done online. I got a text and a photo before Benji arrived so I didn't feel like I was letting a stranger in my home. Benji was very friendly and helpful. Man, what a great company!! We were so
Impressed with everything they did! It all starts with Devan! This young man is the reason we hired them for our plumbing re-pipe and pipe bursting. He came out to give us our quote and I knew he was the right guy for the job! I was right!! He was on time each day, very professional and had attention to detail. We had a very tricky re-pipe. They had to dig a 5 to 6 foot hole in our front planter and I was very concerned about damaging the drip system, plants and a very old lamppost. They took extra special care to move the plants so they could be re-planted and they also carefully dug around the lamppost. I say all this to show you they care about their customers and your concerns.
Devan also brought along a rockstar crew to help him. It consisted of Ernesto, Jeremy, and Jeffrey. All four of these guys worked their tails off for 3 days. They were polite, courteous and had a smile on their faces! This whole experience was a pleasure for my wife & I and it was because of these guys! Thanks again Devan!

I am certainly lagging on writing reviews on Aaron and his staff at California Plumbing, in fact I should have written 6 years worth of reviews. Being this is my first I give a collective account of my experiences. His quality of customer service has exceeded my expectations numerous times. In the past he has been out of the country and has answered my calls to put me at ease and get me help. I own 2 businesses and am a home owner. I found this company looking for local area services that could assist the same day. I read reviews in various posts including here on yelp and noted they operate around the clock. My call was immediately answered by Rachel who took personal interest in my needs. I was explained that repairs could be handled within the hour. Further, she specified a Technician who'd be assisting by name, Nestor.

What impressed me most about this company is their transparency. While Nestor could be at my home in an hour or less, it was brought to my attention that their sources couldn't supply the part needed for the job. Rachel was up front about that and provided alternative options for me to ponder versus sending a specialist out to discover that after-the-fact.

Together, we were able to find a solution. Shortly thereafter, Nestor arrived ahead of schedule. He clearly set expectations on what was going to be done and how he was going to do it. He did just so.

This is a local group of professionals in their trade and in offering top level customer service. I highly recommend California Plumbing.

extremely rude customer service over the phone in the office ! ive called 2 times to try and set up an appoiment, yes i am only a renter in the condo were i am at so the 1st time i understood that only my landlord could have done that so let that go. the plumber came into the home, he was great tbh, nothing like the people who answer the phone, honestly. now i noticed today that my toilet wasnt placed well its moving, so i called the company to try and set an appoitment for them to try and come out to fix it . which reminder they already came into the condo, so im here thinking they can just make the appoiment to fix something that was already fixed and i didnt have to bug my landlord to call and make an appoiment for this little thing !!! now the guy who answered at the office was extremely, rude and said youre only a tenant like if that makes me less of a person! i was so upset that i couldnt even get the name of the guy who i spoke with . but im very upset at the way he spoke to me. i didnt think i should call and bug my landlord to make that appointment. when its something that shouldnt be charged , to fix a mistake that they madee? thats why i called and tried to make the appoiment.. any how very rude people answering the phones .!

I had a serious problem. About 8 feet of plumbing snake had broken off in my sewer line. I called another plumber and was told that this problem was WAY beyond them, and that it would take thousands of dollars to resolve it. I called California Plumbers and was given an appointment the next day. The tech came over (on time!) and we discussed the problem. He called Aaron the owner. Aaron arrived and the magic began. They located the broken snake in the sewer main line and we began to try to get it out. Despite 90+ degree heat and an EXTENSIVE amount of work, the two were able to extract the snake by the end of the day. Aaron returned the next morning to finish the job.
I would whole-heartedly recommend this company for any plumbing needs you may have. The are honest, reasonably priced and a real pleasure with whom to do business. They are without a doubt the plumbers I will call with whatever issues I may have. I suggest you do the same. It's my sincere pleasure to give them a 5 star rating, and my own personal thanks for their service.

I found California Plumbing on Yelp, and called them on two separate occasions this month. On both occasions, the company provided exceptional communication, fair pricing estimates with no surprise fees, professional customer service, and excellent plumbing results.

The first plumbing issue was at my home, with an upstairs water leak from a bathtub drain. California Plumbing scheduled a same-day appointment, which was immediately confirmed by both email & text-message. Then, when the plumber was on his way, I received a follow-up text-message that Chico was assigned to the service call. The text included Chico's company photo so I could identify him when he arrived.

Chico not only isolated the two sources of the drain leak, but he was able to repair everything that same afternoon. Chico did an excellent, clean job in repairing the leak. After an hour, Chico informed me he was calling a colleague for assistance and California Plumbing sent another follow-up text that Hector was assigned to assist the service call; again, including Hector's photo so I could identify him when he arrived. This is the best communication I've ever had from any contractor; and there were absolutely no surprises with the billing. The plumbing work includes a 90-day warranty, and I received a detailed invoice with photos via email.

The second plumbing issue was at a rental property, with a Master Bathroom bath/shower faucet that only supplied hot water. Again, California Plumbing scheduled a same-day appointment, which was immediately confirmed by both email & text-message. Again, I received a follow-up text that Chico was assigned to the service call & included his company photo.

Chico isolated the bad cartridge & valve, and also found a slow leak under one of the sink faucets. Again, Chico was professional, provided a fair estimate with no surprise fees, and repaired everything that same day. He worked hard, did a clean job.

For 100% transparency, I didn't receive any payments, benefits or discounts for posting this review. I'm just another satisfied customer who highly recommends this company for its excellent work.

Literally found our toilet leaking around the base mid day yesterday and of course a big concern because it's waste water potentially spilling out into our bathroom. It's always hard to find good plumbers that actually match their rating, but happy I went with California Plumbing because they actually do! The dispatcher was quick to have someone come out to me today and was very efficient on the phone. My appointment time was between 8-10 and Steve was on the scene by 9am. He assessed the problem quickly and got the job done literally in less than 2 hours. Steve was so awesome and respectful of my home too! He even showed us the icky bits like *sewer roaches* so we weren't left in the dark of potential issues down the road.

Definitely calling them again if I have another toilet issue!!

Our condo was built in 1992, so a lot of our plumbing is old and outdated. A couple days ago we noticed our sink had a serious leak and a valve broke off. We contacted California Plumbing and they were quick to set us up with an appointment the next day. Coming from both me and my boyfriend who are in the military and busy, availability is very important, so it was great to have this appointment the next day.

As for the repairs, our technician was Cody Magdaleno. Cody was great and really awesome to talk to, he quickly helped us out and was very knowledgeable with our repair. Our new sink looks beautiful & there is no leaks at all.

Plumbers are very special people. They take care of stuff the rest of us don't want to think about. They care about what kind of TP you use and can talk for hours about cast iron pipes. Plumbing is pretty much never a DIY project and it always throws a curve ball when you least expect it. Such is my story with California Plumbing.

In an effort to reduce my TP impact on the environment and enjoy a refreshing spritz when needed, over the weekend I decided to try to install a simple toilet seat bidet (Blondell brand) I picked up from Home Depot. Mistake number 1.

My daughter installed a Tushy brand in her apartment in Denver so how hard can it be? Mistake number 2. After struggling on the floor, squirting water and leaking, I realized I was in trouble. Toilet was leaking and had to turn off the water. Realizing a plumber was needed, I ordered a 2nd different bidet from Amazon figuring I would get both bathrooms taken care of.

I contacted several plumbers all who said they could help until I tried to schedule them. California Plumbing responded quickly and sent out Stan Smith right away.

Stan is a hero. After struggling with the Home Depot bidet and adding his own parts, it stopped leaking. BUT it didn't work! So he installed the other brand (Luxe NEO 185) and also had to use extra parts to get it working. But he triumphed and I have 1 working and another broken bidet.

So I ordered another Luxe NEO 185 from Amazon and Stan is returning after the holiday to pull out the broken HD one and install the second Luxe. Then I will march that broken bidet back to Home Depot.

The moral of the story is never assume anything that has to do with plumbing or toilets is easy and if you need a plumber, call Stan at California Plumbing. I hope they add him to the group picture soon on Yelp cause he deserves to be front and center!

When their tech was running a few minutes late from their last call, the receptionist called to apologize and make sure that the 15min delay would still work with my schedule. Finding a contractor that is willing to show up is hard. I called these guys on a Friday evening and they came out on Monday morning. The guy was a little late but nothing to get crazy over.

I grew up on job sites, my dad and uncle have been plumbers for over 30 years (each). I would have fixed it myself but I don't have the tools to do it, as such on my dad's next vacation down here, I will have him fix the issue correctly.

We had a pipe leak in our wall. the guy opened it up and fixed it, however, I don't think he did that good of a job. The pipe was not strapped or blocked at all. I pointed that out to him and he put one strap on the pipe but it was still floating in the sink.

We have a weird old sink. I told him he didn't do a good enough job strapping the pipe and he told me that he squirted a bunch of caulking in between the pipe and the sink so it would be fine. Their fee was $550 or $470 cash. I elected for the $470 cash option. He worked for about two hours and was in a hurry to leave (so it seemed). Our faucet/pipe that comes out of the sink is flopping around because it was not properly secured to a block/strap.

In the end they fixed the leak, but they didn't do everything they should have done to ensure the faucet/pipe was secured in the sink. Have you every heard a pipe rattle in a wall? If so, that is from a lumber failing to properly block/strap the pipe.

I feel like they over charged me for what they did and didn't do a quality job. I wouldn't have minded the price if they did a good job.

I need my house re-piped, I was going to consider these guys until I saw this quality (or lack there of) of work.

I would not suggest these guys to others and I would not use them again.

However, I still received an excellent quote, based on the amount of work involved and feedback from other relatives' experiences. This is the third time I've used California Plumbing over the last five years. And when there's a fourth, I'll use them again.

What I want in a plumbing company is:

1. Prompt service.
2. The ability to fix my problem on the first service call.
3. Don't break anything in the process.

In this latest call, my kitchen sink was completely stopped up. My DIY plunging was to no avail. My bathroom sink wasn't much better.

Robert from California Plumbing arrived within an hour of my call. He thoroughly cleaned the pipes under the bathroom sink (which were causing the stoppage) and went on to clear the kitchen drain by snaking down the rooftop pipe. He then fed a digital camera into the pipe to inspect the condition...just to be sure.

Plus, he tested my water for harmful chemicals and gave me valuable maintenance pointers as well.

And those three conditions I mentioned...he checked all the boxes.

Shane was polite, helpful and very efficient. We had an unusual request for the water valve under the kitchen sink. Shane immediately understood our desire and replaced the existing valve with a significantly superior one. He did not have the parts with him as we did not want the usual repair. He immediately drove out to the right store and brought the parts back to repair the valve the way we wanted it. This was all done in less than 2 hours. He cleaned up after himself. If there was a way to grant more stars, I would have. From the first interaction with the office (Lauren) to the guy (Daven) who came over, it was a perfect experience. When we saw they had a 5-star rating, we were doubtful. But when Daven came, he was more than kind, explained to us what we saw on the camera screen, and was able to take video on his phone and send it to us. Eventually, the Klug in our line was cleared, and he found that the issue was on the city side. We called another firm before we called California plumbing, and they wanted to charge us hundreds of dollars, sighting this as a holiday job. He said anyone we would call would be the same. That drove us to try one more outfit. The original quote from California plumbing was lower. We liked that $35 would get a person to your house and a quote, which sounds totally fair nowadays. Daven told us to call the city and ask them to come over, and the city said they needed to hear from a plumber, not an owner. I texted Daven, and he called the city, and got it all squared away. The city will come over and do their magic with Hydro-power snake that hopefully will get this saga done and over. If you need an honest plumbing company, choose California Plumbing.

I had a kitchen incident that needed the kitchen faucet replaced.
I had reached out to the plumbers in the area and I received a few bids.

California Plumbing was not the 1st response to my query but I feel that my questions were honestly answered after I had provided the information from is the sink a one hole or three hole facet.

The appointment was made and on the day of the appointment the technician was Joey. He as punctual and finish the task at hand without any difficulty.

We tried to replace a leaking shutoff valve under the sink and found out we were in over our heads. Benji got here in *under half an hour,* meaning we were able to get the work done right away without scheduling a second water shutoff with the water company. He used the parts we had already bought and took the time to explain what he'd done. We've now gotten the water turned back on, and the valves are holding perfectly (unlike when we tried to do the work ourselves, which caused hissing, bubbling, and dripping in the valves.) The price was fair in general and was fantastic if you consider that they came on such short notice. Thank you! We're so happy to have this done with.

Very happy with the service. They got back to me in minutes. They sent someone out within a couple of hours. The someone was Brandon, a personable, clean cut, competent young plumber who does not mind attention of a few pets. We had an atypical job, an antique type high tank toilet. The tank had been leaking and I had pretty much torn down the whole setup trying to fix it. Brandon got it reassembled and working with no leaking with the parts on-site in pretty short order. GUYS!! THIS is a GREAT company!! First off, I submitted a request for quote on Yelp and received a response rapidly (minutes), and was scheduled for a person to come out the very next day. I'm a fan! We finally had to replace all of our outgoing drainage pipes in our 60 year old house. We got four estimates and California Plumbing was the best--in one case by $7K. The work required cutting through about 30 feet of concrete outside, ripping up the floor of one of the bathrooms, and replacing all lines to the street. We also had new shower valves installed. Aaron, Benji and team (at one time 6 plumbers) did a supper job and even fixed things for free that were not in my initial request. These guys were super personable, friendly, professional and easy to talk to. They were accommodating of our changing needs--even after the contract was signed--and the finished product is as we hoped.

This is my second review for California Plumbing and it's 5 stars again. We've been using them since April 2019 and I haven't looked back. We've used them a few times and in every instance, they have been a pleasure to work with. Aaron and his guys are professional, courteous and always do quality work. They take the stress off the home owner and immediately put you at ease. We've had them do an emergency repair for a gushing leak, add an additional spigot for a tenant that wanted a more convenient way to water plants and more. They are amazing and Rachel their office manager is wonderful too. She's easy to get ahold of and responds to scheduling requests quickly. Had a tankless hot water heater installed by another plumber, however, it wasn't heating the water throughout my house properly, so I called California Plumbing to get a second opinion.

The plumber showed up on time, was professional and very nice. Unfortunately, he told me there was nothing he could do to fix my not-so-great situation. The diagnostics charge was $200.

No problem there at all. Things went sideways when I mentioned that there was no hot water in my bathroom sinks. My hall bathroom has a brand new vanity, and the drawers in the vanity needed to be removed by the plumber in order for him to take a look. Now, two of the drawers seemed to be off track. When I tried to fix them, I realized that the hot water hose had come loose and was now leaking inside the vanity. I turned off the water, got my own pliers and secured the nut at the top. So at least that got fixed.

However, the hardware on my drawers also seem kind of messed up still. At least I am not able to get the drawers back on track the way there were before the plumber came by.

So, if I needed another plumber, I would still call these guys, I just would remove any drawers or barriers to the plumbing myself before they get there.

My tenant at my business property in Imperial Beach called to say the sprinkling system was not working correctly and water was just barely coming out and then it just ran into the street. My gardener could not figure it out and said maybe it was a water company problem. The water company came out and said I needed a plumber so I called a highly rated one in Imperial Beach. They came and said they could not fix it. It was some sort of a valve problem and suggested I call someone else. I looked on Yelp and chose California Plumbing. I sent them a text, they responded quickly and said they could come the next day. My gardener could only meet them at a certain time. I texted them again and they said no problem. There's so much to say, I could write a short story here. In a time when customer service isn't really commonplace; California Plumbing takes it up past the top notch. Completely unprofessional, sloppy and takes shortcuts, damages personal property without taking responsibility as well as on purpose with malice, would not recommend to anyone.

Our building hired then to do a piping job and were mislead by their glowing reviews on Yelp as we now know. All of these 5 stars must be from their friends and family members.

From the beginning we saw that their work was sloppy and careless. They cut irregular holes in our walls and wanted to run the new pipes on the outside of our walls which was ridiculous and we had to fight them on that. They caused multiple water leaks during the course of their job and this led to damages to multiple units. Instead of cleaning up when it happened, they elected to just let it soak into the flooring and cause further damage.

During their work one of my shower drains clogged and I believed it was due to their job but they denied it and would not fix the problem without a new contract. However, their plumber came in and snaked my shower drain anyways and broke it. This led to flooding in the unit below. They denied all responsibility and would not fix their damage. Finally, they came with the city inspector and did not let us know to look at their work without us present which was extremely sketchy. During this time, I noticed that my surfboards ankle strap was cut which I can only imagine was with spiteful intent from the plumbing company because of our disputes. They had all of our garage codes.

California plumbing is unprofessional, immoral, careless, takes shortcuts, and does not take responsibility for their actions. Do not hire them.

A++ Service from California Plumbing! After searching for a legit plumbing company for almost a year, I found California Plumbing. My project consisted of running new gas service, water service, sewer, kitchen, laundry and bathroom supply. They had the contract drawn up on Friday and started work on Monday. The scope of work was completed on schedule and inspection went even better than planned! Aaron and his crew, (Mark and Joe) did a fantastic job of working together in a clean, intelligent, professional matter. Had a hot water slab leak that went undiagnosed by incompetent plumbers my HOA sent and they told me it wasn't a slab leak. I believed them. Meanwhile my gas bills kept rising, my floor was warm, and my cold water tap was coming out warm so I had to figure out the issue. So I called California plumbing who recommended I call CPL since all clues pointed to a slab leak. So I forced my HOA to call the leak detection experts at CPL and they did indeed confirm the hot water slab leak within 2 seconds. Plumber HOA sent wasted an hour of my life convincing me it wasn't a slab leak and is responsible for letting the leak go on for months. I wish I had the time to sue him. I made sure my HOA used California plumbing and not their useless third rate plumbers they usually send. California plumbing were super quick and responsive. Benji and another technician made quick work of rerouting an new hot water line in my ceilings and walls for the entire condo. They did it in less than 5 hours. Would definitely use them again! Don't ever fully trust plumbers HOA send or any plumbers for diagnosing a slab leak! Always defer to CPL as they are the only trusted authority on finding leaks underground. Call CPL to detect the underground leak if you feel all signs point to a slab leak and then call California plumbing to fix!

I came home from the studio, pulled my car in backwards and noticed a bunch of water falling off of my garage door. First Thought: Woah Did it Rain? Second Thought: Uh Oh.

I called a plumber that's been to my house before, after I called and texted my brother a million times, and with the help of an iPhone, pictures, video and my brother, we got the water to stop flooding my garage. Unfortunately my previous plumber was booked up for 6 days - so I asked for a referral and he gave me Aaron's name, number and told me he was a really good guy.

So I called Aaron.

Not only was he incredibly nice, but he coordinated with me and came out within just 3 hours of our conversation. He installed the entire unit by himself, handled the gas and the water, hauled out my old water heater, cleaned up all of his tools and equipment and also looked at my bathroom sink. My hair likes to shed.

Just overall a freaking incredible experience. If you need help, want a very professional and friendly plumber who communicates thoroughly - give Aaron a call. Just a complete rock star and you won't regret it.

Terrible unprofessional company. Tech came to my home for an estimate to replace the bathtub in the guest room. I was told I'd receive an estimate via Email the next day. After waiting 4 days with no response I called their office and was told I'd receive the estimate by the end of the day. It never happened. After talking with the office the next day I was assured they would send the estimate. To this day I've never heard back from CALIFORNIA PLUMBING. We had a leak coming from a vanity in the bathroom, Nestor arrived right on time, took one look at it and knew it was from IKEA right away! He suspected the issue was due to the flimsy proprietary parts that come with their vanities. He mentioned we might need to order the parts directly from them and he would return to install another time. In the interim he said he would take a look and see if he could patch it up to get us by (no charge!). Five minutes later he had discovered it had never been installed correctly from day one, he removed the pipe, re-fixed it the way it should have been done 5 years ago and then tested it thoroughly to ensure no more leaks. He was in and out in 10-15 mins and we were left gobsmacked that refused to accept any form of payment. It's been over a week now and sure enough, the pipe is performing like new. If only we had California Plumbing and Nestor do the job the first time around!

You guys will be my first call next time we need plumbing services. 5 Stars well deserved. TY

We had an issue with our plumbing that needed prompt (although not emergency) attention. I called Thursday and they answered the phone (unlike another company that I tried) and set up an appointment for a technician to come the next morning.

It was a small drip leak from the hose bib located in the front of the house. Easy fix. At 4:30 pm on a Monday I am all set with a new washer and replacement valve as a backup. The stripped screw on the handle of the bib was a challenge so I decided to just replace the entire valve. 36 years in the military and I prepared accordingly. The house was built in 2004 and the valve joint where it connected to the copper pipe had more than a few coats of paint serving as a seizing agent. No problem I thought. I turned the valve screw a complete 360 degrees before realizing I had turned the entire copper pipe extending back into the house with it. See pics. I now went from an easy fix to a major problem as I could see that the initial small leak was the least of my problems. I turned the main water line on to assess my damage and a geiser came out from the back of the valve. Yup, even the best of plans can crash and burn. I called California Plumbing and explained the situation. Tatianna was great! She was able to get me on the first service call the following morning. I could not ask for me. She also called me right back with an answer to my question of whether I could isolate the water turn off to just the outside bibs and still keep water on throughout the house. Back east you can, but not here. Her quick response allowed me time to make alternate plans for my family of 6. The next morning Devon Elson showed up. I knew this job was going to require going into the wall space and I was concerned from experience that some plumbers can be heavy handed accessing the wall and make the hole unnecessarily large. As this was outside, I did not want to invite critters into the house so I expected to be patching up work after Devon finished his repairs. Let me tell you, this man must have been a surgeon in a prior life. He was meticulous and conservative about how he approached accessing the wall. See pics. He ensured he had the access he needed and within 90 minutes was done with the work. I was on a conference call and when I came out, I was shocked to see he had also patched up the wall and cleaned up all debris without leaving a trace that there was work done. Other than the wall requiring painting he left me good to go without my having to do any of the work I expected to be doing later that day. Devon and California Plumbing will be my forever go to on all plumbing issues going forward. If you are like me, and value quality and reflect that with your loyalty, do yourself a service and add them to your plumbing company on all future calls. You will not regret it. Devon was professional, thoughtful and efficient. I could not be happier with the service and the cost was more than far. Customer for life!

Had a toilet shut off valve snap off when I was handling it. They arrived within 1.5 hours and got it fixed within another hour. They even called a water damage assessment company to come out and give a free assessment of whether there was likely to be any additional work needed. I didn't have to google more companies. First, wow! I've had issues with plumbing under our kitchen sink for over 6 months now. We've had 3 plumbers come out and fix different issues but none of them resolved the actual problem. After finding more nasty standing water under my sink this morning, I called California Plumbing and they got someone or here within the hour. Shane was our technician and he was great! He couldn't find the issue initially but didn't give up and continued to ask me questions to figure out the problem. Within a few minutes he found the issue, showed me what needed to be repaired, and explained why! He was great! He fixed the problem and was in and out within an hour! Great work, extremely professional, and very polite and the price is very affordable! I will definitely be using this company for any other issues in the future!

Our bathroom sink was clogged and in trying to snake the pipes, I inadvertently push out the p-trap and made a mess with water all over the floor and cabinet. I noticed that the clog was in the pipe going into the main line. I search for a local plumbing services and after call a few, California Plumbing quoted the best price and was able to do the draining services the same day. They also had a special and coupon for those needed service, very nice bonus. They arrived on time, was unclogged in 20 min. Tested drainage and left everything cleaned. California Plumbing came out for a broken garbage disposal & a broken faucet handle in the bathroom. Both Al and Brandon, who came on separate days, were super friendly, professional & informative. They wore shoe covers & left the work area completely clean.
Options were explained thoroughly & I was given a choice of lower to higher costs.
I checked around the interweb for usual prices & California Plumbing's are right around average. I'm completely satisfied with Al & Brandon & will be using California Plumbing again soon for a different issue.

He really puts customer service and customer satisfaction as a top priority which is hard to find in Companies now a days. I was adding a addition to my home and moving my whole kitchen and my drain was going to be below my existing drain pipe in my island. Aaron was recommended to us by our real estate agent since we needed plumbing work done on our new home. We only had a few days to get our plumbing work finished before we had to move in. Aaron took time out of his busy schedule to accommodate us, thank goodness! He was right on time in the morning and worked efficiently. He was doing his best to finish thoroughly, as well as, being cost efficient with his hours. Aaron helped me find a local plumbing supply and got a huge discount on our materials. He also brought another excellent worker along so that both men could be working and/or purchasing the needed materials without any work time being wasted. We also called Aaron back the following week after we discovered our laundry was not working properly after we hooked up our washer and drier. Once again he made an effort in between jobs to come to our new home and make sure we were taken care of. Aaron is young and strong and been around the plumbing business his entire life. My husband and I could tell that Aaron knew what he was doing and did it well. We couldn't have been more pleased with his expertise and his service. So glad I found California Plumbing! In the past we've used friends of friends or having worked for a contractor in the past, called plumbers I had used on other jobs. Unfortunately, I was never completely satisfied with the job. The jobs either took forever (they were fitting me into their schedules because they were doing me a favor) or it was something I could have done myself.

After some flooding in my master bathroom, I gave California Plumbing a call. I had heard about them through a family friend who highly recommended them. And OMG...I'm so glad I listened. They came when they said they were. Gave an accurate estimate. They did the job fast, efficiently, and were very clean and professional! Aaron, Nestor and the rest of the crew not only provided EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE pricing, but they were able to complete the bid UNDER their estimate because it ended up being easier than anticipated. I was given a conservative estimate so that there would be no surprises once they began work, which I greatly appreciated. At the end of the job, you wouldn't even have known their crew had even been there, that's how well they clean up after themselves! When it comes to plumbing, it's such a pain in the neck (sometimes literally being contorted under the sink and/or the house) that I despise having to make any type of plumbing repairs. These guys alleviate the stress and get the job done for a reasonable price that I would be happy to recommend to anyone having any sort of plumbing issue beyond the scope of their personal skill set.

I bought a new stove from Home Depot but couldn't hook it up to the existing gas valve. So I needed a plumber to swap out the valve. The original plumber I hired flaked out at the last minute but I was able to get California Plumbing to come out the same day and replace it. Working with California Plumbing was easy and effective, from scheduling the appointment all the way to work completion. My toilet was making an odd noise and Benji (who was wonderful to work with) was able to immediately diagnose the problem and even showed me exactly what was causing the issue. In my case, my toilet was old and needed a full replacement. Benji was able to come back first thing the next morning and finished the job very quickly. The new toilet is working great and he hauled away the old toilet. Benji was extremely personable, knowledgable and explained things as he went, which I appreciated.

I had noticed a leak in the garage, and was able to determine it was the Kitchen sink that was leaking out of the sink vent cap. I had tried to fix the clog, but it was beyond my reach. With that I went with a California Plumbing, and was delighted to hear that a technician was available the same morning. Chico came out and was very professional, putting on shoe covers even when stepping into my home.

When he saw the problem, he got right down to business, snaking the drain until it was flowing smoothly again. Top-notch service

We had a leak in our concrete slab. Stan was dispatched to our house to diagnose the problem. He got the leak detector team to come out and help isolate the issue. He fixed the leak without having to dig up any concrete, and fixed our water pressure problem that probably caused the leak in the first place (our pressure regulator had failed). This was all done quick and efficiently. He was also helpful in explaining what was covered by insurance and how to explain it to the insurance agent.
However the billing system didn't itemize things to the agent's specifications so we had some difficulty there. California Plumbing did eventually get it separated out and we got most of it covered. So my advice to people in a similar situation would be to talk to the insurance agent before you sign the plumbing bill. That was not an option in our case, as we hadn't been assigned an agent until all the plumbing work was completed.
The leak was where the water heater was located, so Stan also moved our water heater in what they call a 'temp set'. They temporarily relocate the water heater while the repairs and reconstruction occur.
Our water heater is now back in place and we couldn't be happier with the job California Plumbing did. Would recommend them to others in the future.

This review is long overdue, but I highly recommend California Plumbing! We worked with Hector Medina and he was THE BEST. If we have future work, I will definitely request Hector specifically.

My boyfriend and I are new homeowners and we needed to remove 3 toilets and install 3 toilets. We were referred to CA Plumbing by our realtor and they did not disappoint.

I called to schedule an appointment and the woman I spoke to was friendly and made life easy. She worked with me to find dates and since I wasn't living at the property, she made a note to have the technician call me ahead of time so I could head over the same time he did.

The day of the appointment. I love how they send you a photo of your technician beforehand. I was going to the property alone so it was nice to have this info and it made me feel safe knowing who was coming. Hector was great, he called me ahead of time so I could meet him at the property. He arrived a bit before me and was very understanding about me being a bit late since I was on the way there from work. My new toilets happened to be delivered the same he was here and Hector helped me carry them in which I thought was incredibly nice. He did not have to but went out of his way to help. There were three toilets and they were heavy, so I really appreciated him going above and beyond. Hector also gave me some tips about what toilets to get and he helped me realize I should exchange the ones I purchased. Hector inspected the toilets, took photos, gave me a price quote, and details on the process of installation/removal. He let me know that he'd come back and do it if we chose to work with him.

The day of the removal/installation, Hector did everything. He discarded the old toilets, uninstalled them, cleaned the bathrooms so it didn't look like he was there, installed the new toilets, took out the trash from the new toilets, etc. He also went above and beyond to explain every step of the process and what he did. Hector also gave tips as to what he was doing, how to look for leaks, etc. He was incredibly friendly, thorough, and informative. Also, as a new homeowner, he gave me other tips on other things I had going on at the property related to plumbing as well as other non plumbing things. Pricing was also exactly the same as the quote, no unexpected charges or additional fees. I personally don't know what's considered expensive for the work we had done, but the service and quality was great and we'd use CA Plumbing again!

No one wants plumbing issues, but if we have any, we'll definitely look out for Hector again. Thanks for all your help Hector!

Called these plumbers today for a main snake they were scheduled to come out between 12:30 -12:45 so I gave it some time I understand it's busy, especially this Veterans Day seeing as my husband is active duty military bummed that 1:40 rolled around and still no show with no notice had to call them and say forget about it. Happy Veterans Day to you all! but this service didn't meet my yelp expectation :/

Chico gave me the best experience I've ever had with a home repair. He was very knowledgeable on what was covered by the HOA and what needed to be covered by me and he carries a very expert and professional attitude. He communicated everything he was doing to my plumbing and now both my master and guest sink are working perfectly! He even gave me some helpful tips on preventing the issue from happening again. Had to call a plumber because I needed my garbage disposal decided that the morning of my house warming would be perfect to back up, no longer turn on and start a mini waterfall underneath my sink. I called other plumbing companies and the only one that had someone available now was California Plumbing. Benji came out within an hour of my call. He gave me the honest run down and got the job done faster then I could blink. He had replaced my garbage disposal and gave me some advice about how to troubleshoot in the future should I encounter another problem with it. I don't know if its part of the job but he even helped with cleaning up the mess the flood made. If you're in a jam and need it done absolutely now, I would definitely recommend them.

We needed a Gas Line added to our existing line for a gas range. Alex came out for an estimate and when we were ready, Alex also came back and did an outstanding job installing the gas line. Alex clearly explained all the work before the job started and expectations. after the job Alex walked me through what he did. Great customer service and very professional!

I had problems with a guest bathroom toilet that was clogged and which I believed had a pipe that had roots growing inside because I used a small auger and took out a small amount of what appeared to be roots. I found California Plumbing on Yelp. While I called 2 others I hesitated to hire them and called California Plumbing. The woman I spoke with assigned someone to come out the same day. I was assigned Chico. While my problem morphed into a much complex job, Chico was actually professional, explained everything he was doing to locate the problem/ roots and still being sensitive to the costs. He was very neat and cleaned up after his work as well as providing a temporary fix as the entire job will require replacing the toilet piping which is underneath the tub and concrete slab. An estimate is forthcoming. He actually cleared out all the roots he could see using the camera as well as using a much larger auger. While I hate plumbing problems, having professionals like Chico makes the process doable.

Today the plumber, Benji with California Plumbing arrived on time and completed the following... replaced water valve, added pressure gauge, and reset toilet. He works quickly. Their prices are reasonable and I would definitely use him again. Sidenote, he came out several months ago and replaced piping to repair a pinhole water leak. I have used him twice and would ask for home again.
