I had a bad slab leak in a hot water line which was very difficult to find and then to reroute the affected pipes. Sam came highly recommended and was exactly as advertised. He is knowledgeable of his craft, a skilled communicator and trustworthy. He handled some setbacks due to mistakes made by the leak detection contractor I hired, explaining in detail what he was about to do and checking in as the job progressed. His rates are reasonable. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

The first appointment went well, Sam came by and connected my dishwasher and it was a good experience. The second time I tried to schedule something, he couldn't make it late on a Friday and rescheduled for Saturday at 8am, which is understandable. He didn't show up and didn't respond to my text about whether he was still coming.

It's too bad, he seems like a nice guy and did good work.

Here's why you want to hire Sam for your plumbing needs:

- His prices are extremely competitive, 30-50% less than the competition
- He's a good communicator. Texts or calls with updates or if he's running late due to another call.
- He's conscientious and respectful about your home/property.
- He's pretty clean for a plumber
- He's efficient and respectful of your time.
- Performs work to code (we passed city inspection)

This is all based on my interactions with him over a few days while he's been installing a new gas line (70ft) , replaced a water heater, installed a pressure valve regulator, and installed a water recirculator.

I recently had to replace my water heater and I hired Sam to do the job. From start to finish the service was excellent. He arrived on time and got straight to work. He is courteous, professional, and knowledgeable.

Sam took the time to explain the different water heater options available and helped me select the best one for my needs. He then proceeded to remove the old water heater and install the new one. He made sure that everything was properly connected and in working order before leaving.

I was impressed with the quality of the work and the attention to detail. He even took the time to clean up the area after he was done. The price for the service was very reasonable and I felt that I received great value for my money.

Overall, I highly recommend Anderson Plumbing for any plumbing needs. They were responsive, professional, and did an excellent job. I would definitely use his services again in the future. Thank you for a job well done

We discovered a new leak located in our bedroom, situated right behind the bathroom. Sam arrived promptly, even on short notice, and was able to identify the origin of the leak. He fixed the issue right away, without charging us any fees.

Called after seeing suspicious moisture build up on kitchen area, and no clear indicator of any leakage source. Sam was able to drop by within the hour for inspection, even though it was Sunday!
Sam was quick to round through - efficient , clear communication and much appreciated education on the plumbing.
After the minor leak source being identified/fixed, he refuse to accept payment.
So, I owe this honest man a good review at least :)
Will definitely be calling him if I have any future plumbing issues!

Unreliable. Scheduled with Sam for some work, the day before he cancelled due to feeling under the weather. (Understandable) We agreed to reschedule a couple days later.

Sam didn't show up for the rescheduled appointment, i texted him and he said he's still feeling sick. (He could have updated that he wasn't coming) We rescheduled for the next week.

Again the appointment passes and I text him. Sam claims an emergency came up and asked to reschedule. (Fair) Also claimed he lost my contact info and was waiting for me to call/text. (Not sure how that's possible unless he got a new phone since we've been texting for multiple weeks). Sam agreed to meet the next day...

Guess what. No show again. No response to text. No response to phone calls. Gave him the benefit of the doubt multiple times as he's local, great reviews, and a neighbor used him.

Took my business elsewhere for the same cost.

I was looking for a plumber to look at a kitchen faucet issue I was having. I found Anderson on Yelp! and decided to give them a call. Left a message and Briana returned my call promptly. I explained to her my issue and sent her a couple of pictures she requested and arranged for an afternoon appointment for Sam to come by to do the repairs.

Sam fixed my issue over the phone! After looking the pictures and hearing what my issue was, he called me and told me what he suspected what the issue was and walked me through the fix. Out of the numerous plumbers I've been speaking with the past couple of days you and one other company (which I used before, but he was booked until next week) were the only ones that really tried to help me out instead of the other way around.

Briana and Sam are very professional and easy to work with. I really appreciate the pre-appt call which saved me a lot. Even though I didn't use their services, I could tell by talking to Sam he knows his stuff and is out to help and not just to make a fast buck. You definitely will be at the top of my list for my plumbing needs.

If only I had 7 stars to give here. On December 23rd all the taps in our house stopped giving water. Every single one. I called a couple of plumbers and no one knew what the problem was, and as soon as I called Sam he knew exactly what the issue was (my water softener resin damn has burst and pumped a whole lot of resin into each of my pipes and fixtures). He arrived right away to fix this emergency issue and spent 5 hours addressing each pipe individually! He thought of creative ways to fix the problem and finally we had cold and hot water. As this issue needs ongoing attn he came by multiple times to fix small issues that kept cropping up and in each instance he fixed the problem quickly. We went from freaked out (thank god for running water!) to happy in the course of those 5 hours. And the whole time Sam just said - I have seen this before and I am going to fix it. Do not panic! It was amazing! If you need a good plumber, there are not enough stars for Sam! He is fantastic!!

Same problem as the 1 star reviewer. Asked Sam for a quote which he responded very promptly to. We agreed on a price but when it came to nailing down a time to schedule, he ghosted me completely. This is despite multiple calls and texts to follow up. At least have the courtesy to reply, please. I'm sure he's good at what he does but he does not seem very reliable.

Sam Anderson was great. Our shower leaked through the wall down into the bathroom of the neighbor below. Turned out there were two problems: the cartridge behind the handle was spraying water into the wall, and the drain had a small hole. Sam easily fixed the first problem. The second took a while and looked hard, including sawing out stuck parts. Then he got the new drain assembly in there and tested everything and it does not seem to leak anymore. Total cost was $823 ($175/hour + $300 of parts). Sam does tend to run a little behind, he was usually about 30 minutes later than planned. We just started planning for that and it wasn't a problem. Seems like a thorough repair.

Sam and Briana have been fantastic. They have helped twice in the last couple weeks. First, they responded on very short notice to modify a flange that was part of the downstairs toilet mount. We were in the middle of a flooring project and they kept us on schedule. This week they replaced a bathroom sink faucet and shower faucet cartridge.

Sam is the owner and he is fantastic!
He came out to give a free quote (which a lot of places don't provide) and was incredibly knowledgeable about my gas line and backyard set up.

I wanted to lay a new gas line to my 3 gas appliances in the backyard b/c my last contractor did a horrible job building it and the gas line cracked and leaked below the ground.

Sam was very honest about the fact that I shouldn't waste additional money on testing for a leak b/c he's certain by now the leak is probably all over the gas pipes b/c my contractor used shoddy materials and the soil has eroded the pipes over the last 8 years. He explained what it would take to properly replace it, offered some cost effective solutions. But in the end I decided not to do anything to my yard just yet b/c I'm waiting for after the fall when we aren't using the yard as frequently to do a complete remodel. I am definitely going to call Sam back for that work and to fix some water fixtures around the house when we're comfortable having people in the house.
Sam is super honest, straight forward, responsive, on time, and just the kind of contractor everyone would love working with. I wish more contractors were like him!

Would definitely recommend and use again should I have an issue!

They offered to come out within the hour to see to the mystery leak issue (water company said a few gallons was leaking somewhere while house has been empty) so it was a find-the-leak situation. Not only did they find the TWO leaks, they have great recommendations and fixed the one inside the house.

Sent the bill, was able to pay online and it was done. The whole process was so easy, a huge relief that they were able to not only find but take care of the issues, I will definitely be calling again should there be any future issues.

Sam Anderson did a great job for us. We had 1.25 inch gas piping installed along the side of the house along the roof rafters. The original bid was fine, as we told Sam it would take a few months before the plans and all the pieces were put together.

Sam was on time, his work was very clean and neat. His pricing was fair. I found him to be responsive and returned calls when needed.

I had a water pipe leaking in my garage. I notified at least 5 different plumbing companies on Yelp with a detailed description of the issue to get a price quote and also their availability.

Samuel, the owner, replied so quick with a straight up, no nonsense flat rate quote and said it's an easy fix. He was available within a few hours. I didn't hear back from a few and the others that did reply said they needed to come out to see before they could give me an estimate or their estimate was just ridiculously overpriced.

Samuel was very pleasant, personable, hard working and professional. He knew what he was doing, fixed the leak and was done within an hour. He also was nice enough to take a look at a sprinkler issue I've been having.

Samuel has years of experience as a plumber and recently started his own company. I'd love to see his business thrive! Fast response time, lowest prices and excellent work. We needed to install a new gas line to our pool heater and received quotes from multiple parties. Found Sam through Yelp and his quote was very reasonable! Not only that he recommended alternatives that were much more aesthetically pleasing. Our gas meter and pool heater are at opposite ends of home and we didn't want the pipe to be visible outside. Many other companies recommend options that were just not ideal.
His work is excellent and he is an honest guy who stands behind his word. Highly highly recommend him! So glad we found him through Yelp!

I can't say enough good things about Sam. He was incredibly helpful, responsive, and reliable. We had a major issue with our water softener exploding and leaking resin beads throughout all our pipes, and he was able to clean it all up in a couple hours (amazing!!). He also helped us work with our kitchen sink manufacturer to get the correct replacement parts so I didn't have to spend hundreds on a new faucet. You will not be disappointed, hire Sam!!

We are having some work done in our backyard and wanted to make sure all of our gas lines were intact. We had another company come out to check for a leak. They said they found one and it meant that we would have to dig up part of our yard to fix it. Their price for the repair seemed very high. We decided to get another opinion and called Sam. We are so happy we did. Discovered that the original company did the leak test wrong. There was no gas leak outside. There was a small leak in the crawlspace under our house. And Sam not only found the leak, but he took a video of where the leak was under our home so we could see it for ourselves. He saved us thousands and his pricing was more than fair. If you want a fair, honest person for your job, I can't recommend this company enough.

I planned to replace our old-and-leaking faucet, however, the nut mounts the old faucet under the counter is rusty and transformed after I messed it up for 5 hours...
Thus, I looked for help from multiple plumbers in Yelp, and Anderson Plumbing is one of them. Sam (the owner) replied immediately with proper quote, and can provide the service next day in the morning.

Sam showed up on time, fixed the stuff end-to-end in an hour and he really knows his stuff. I would use his service again for sure, and I will recommend him to my friends.

Note: I was a little hesitate in the beginning since there are 0 recommended reviews in Yelp for Anderson Plumbing. However, from those hidden Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a shot, and I'm glad I did that.

Sam offered what I believe to be, the experience you deserve but don't always get. And he definitely gave it.
I called Sam about an estimate, he was quick and efficient and I made an appointment for the following day. He came with a professional and experienced demeanor, but also very kind. He did the job swiftly and left the area clean as if he had not been there. We were getting quotes from other companies for 3 hour jobs, extra add ons were crazy and honestly their prices were insane.( this was for a removal and installation of a new toilet)And he told you what was included in the price over the phone. Connecting the water line to our new refrigerator seemed simple enough, but it required more expertise than I had. So, rather than trying to do it all myself, I called Andersen Plumbing for help. It took Mr. Andersen all of 5 minutes to assess the situation, gather the needed materials and connect the water line. Mr. Andersen's total time in our home was less than 20 min., 10 of which was spent getting to know one another better. Mr Andersen explained what materials were needed and the approach he planned to take. He followed the process described and was gone less than 15 minutes later. All was fixed and in working order, and remains so to this day. I recommend Mr. Andersen for all your plumbing needs.

We needed to have a plumber come to our house after running into some problems with a kitchen faucet installation. Contacted Anderson plumbing and they were polite and despite my lack of knowledge and experience knew what I was dealing with. The plumber (Sam) arrived on time as he said he would, additionally we were relieved to see he was wearing a mask which during this pandemic taking our health and the health of others is a priority. The plumbing issue was solved in a clean and non intrusive manner and any mess that was made during the repair was cleaned up. When all was done we had a working faucet with no leaks or issues. I had a critical leak in my main water supply to home. When I described the problem, Sam knew exactly what was going on. Sam made room in his schedule to get out to my home and get containment action in place.

During this self-quarantine having our toilet suddenly stop working was a real calamity. Toilet paper shortage is one thing, but operational plumbing is essential! We asked for quotes from a number of places, this company was reasonable and came right out, even though they are in Dublin/Pleasanton and we are in Oakley. He took precautions like shoe covers, gloves, and mask which he put on just before coming in. He fixed the problem quickly and gave us information about the next steps we might want to take. There was no pressure to do more now. Price was as quoted online. We appreciate this service and will use Anderson Plumbing (from Pleasanton) in the future.

WOW I don't know where to even start ! I can not put into words how Great, honest and reliable! Sam has been with us! First he helped my mom when no other Plummer's wanted to deal with our issues we where having with our water softener ( it had purist releasing a bunch of little beads in our pipes ) called a few Plummer's and all where so rude and trying to pull a fast one by over charging ( was quoted 4K from one). Back to Sam , finally found him on Yelp and gave him a call . And just by talking to him on the phone he told my mom no problem I should have your water running in an hour . He showed up and guess what GOT THE JOB DONE ! Was super upfront about his fees and no run around .! And now again I needed his help with a water heater issue . Reached out to him at 10pm and sure enough walked me threw a few step to get it going . And at no charge ! He's truly is Honest! My tankless water heater has been on the fritz for quite sometime. Fearing the cost to repair or replace we put off contacting someone to take a look at it. It wasn't until Covid19 shelter in place plus a cancer diagnosis prompted us to call. Having to deal with the recent diagnosis a friend took over and found Sam. He was courteous, professional, knowledgable and went above and beyond to troubleshoot. I myself witness the challenges he had contacting the manufacturer to get assistance in trouble shooting. Once he got through they were extremely helpful but Sam never gave up he handled every challenge that complications from Covid19 shelter in place created. I was able to have hot water on demand again and take a full hot water shower tonight. Thanks to Sam he championed through and persevered. Well worth the time and the cost to service the unit was extremely fair!

Sam is great! Super knowledge about household plumbing. I had an issue with my kitchen sink backing up, he came out on a Sunday and had it unclogged within minutes. The original piping was poorly done and Sam had to cut it open in order to run the snake through the pipes. I have also used Sam to install my bathroom faucet. He really takes the time to explain to me what he is doing and makes me feel confident that he is not overselling me. Super professional, wears booties so as not to track in dirt, and brought his own paper towels to clean up.
