American Ally Drains & Plumbing

Shower handle broke and the water could not be turned off. The two possible solutions were a new cartridge or a whole new valve.  The latter would have cost a whole lot more. Three other plumbers we called just said we needed to replace the valve before they even saw it. Ryan from Ally took the time to check it out before jumping to the more expensive option. I recommend.

I put 1 start because I zero is not an option.

At every turn this company was slow or incompetent. They put five giant holes in my wall, AFER I'd already signed a contract saying that they would not repair said holes. It would have been nice to know AHEAD of time just how much they were going to destroy my walls and and ceiling.
Dissatisfied and frustrated is an understatement. The work that they did, does not look impressive and in fact might have to be undone in parts of it. Things that I initially asked for were not clearly communicated to everybody who was working on the project, and this means that things had to be redone. Had I not noticed their mistakes I would've been left with a project that was not what I asked for.
While Ryan was a nice guy it took him and his team 3 times the proposed length to finish this project.The five giant holes in my wall, which they are not not going to repair are just part of the issue, since the plumbing situation still needs more work done on it.
If you choose to go with this company make sure you read the fine print and make sure you always have somebody there to supervise. Even the work that they did complete just barely meets my standards. Anthony and his team spent almost as much time arguing with me about what I wanted, rather than telling me all my options, because he told me me that they're not sales people. I was under the impression that as the professionals it would be their job to to make sure that I have all the facts and options based on the project scope that I've given them. THIS DID NOT HAPPEN.

Good luck if you use them I would rather pay more money than deal with the headache that is American ally drains and plumbing.

Grossly overpriced, they won't quote you over the phone but charged me $500 for a shower cartridge & 30 min labor..  Called to talk with the owner about a price adjustment and he laughed, worst customer service in San Diego.  Do yourself a favor and call one or two other plumbers before using this company.

American Ally Drains and Plumbing has been nothing but amazing for us! I work in property management and we have been using them for our plumbing needs for the past 5 months and they are always quick, responsive and honest. Not one complaint, highly recommended!

Anthony and his team are amazing. We have an older house and they've fixed countless plumbing problems for us over the years, including an entire house repipe and fixing our exterior drainage so water stopped pooling against the house after it rained. Tonight they came and fixed our leaky toilet and our improperly draining washing machine. They identified both problems and had them fixed in just a few hours. They are extremely honest and always do a great job. I recommend them to everyone I know around town.

Ryan came out on short notice to fix a damaged pipe in the backyard.  He was professional and did the job well and efficiently.  Will definitely call again for any future needs!

I just wanted to comment on the great service we always receive from American Ally Plumbing out of Escondido. They are in great demand, but owner Anthony Hernandez somehow finds a way to fit us in.

We have had a challenging year in our New Luxury Condo in Downtown San Diego. There have been several plumbing issues to deal with. Our saving grace has been Super Hero Tech Ray Aguilar! He is prompt, polite and knows his craft! He flies in, fixes the problem quickly, and flies out. No extra ridiculous line item charges that we have experienced with another plumbing company used in our building (I will make a not so flattering review on them next).

With that all said, we highly recommend American Ally plumbing. If you don't use them, BEWARE and check your invoice line by line.

Jaden from American Ally Plumbing is absolutely Fantastic.  Friendly, knowledgeable, very professional, neat, and did a superior job!   I highly recommend this company and especially Jaden!

Got our water bill back for June and was flabbergasted that our water unit use was up from 2 to 24! Called Oceanside department and they didn't tell us much let alone help us with anything when they came out and poked around. Gave these guys a call and had Jaden come out and take a look. Within 5 minutes he determines where the leak was, our next steps, ordered the necessary parts and maintenance crew to come in the following day. Real happy with the pace in which these items were handled!

I hired this company as a referral, so I have never used them before. I had a slab leak and instead of digging up the cement they recommended running the hot water through the attic, which was a lot of work, but every team member went above and beyond with professionalism and courtesy to complete it. I'm not just making this up too, everyone was great to work with. There were a few hiccups because accidents happen, but the owner Anthony made sure all issues were resolved leaving me very happy and pleased with the work I paid for. How I was treated by everyone and especially the owner Anthony made me feel good hiring them. I did get what I paid for; A+ service. Aaron was extremely professional and helpful. Our plumbing had been messed up since we moved in and we were able to get multiple issues worked out with him very quickly. He xplained everything well as he worked, too. Would definitely recommend this company and especially Aaron for any plumbing project.

Great company to work with. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Employees are friendly and professional how they do business. From sending email confirmations and text messages letting me know when they will arrive and even phone calls from the driver to let me know when they are on their way. I asked American Ally to look at my water heater because it stopped heating.  They were there in a couple of hours and did a professional job diagnosing the problem and recommending a solution.  I was comfortable and very happy with the installed solution.  Great service, price and professionalism.

Excellent first experience with American Ally. I tried a DIY garden bib replacement today and ended up twisting the old bib off.

Knowing to cut my losses due to inexperience, I began calling plumbing companies knowing  a Friday afternoon appointment before a holiday weekend was a stretch to hope for.

A company I had used in the past was unavailable. Another company could schedule me for their next available the next Tuesday.... which was unacceptable for this adventure since the water to the whole house was off.

My third call went to American Ally, and from the start it was a good experience. The girl who answered the call was nice and helpful, and able to get me an appointment the same day within a couple hours.

A short time later received a call from the plumber, Aaron, who asked if he could arrive early, which given the situation was more than welcome.

Aaron arrived and got right to business and had everything repaired in a short time. And to make a long story slightly longer, the price was very reasonable. Would definitely recommend,  and will call again for future  plumbing needs.

Outside drain was clogged. Ryan gave me an estimate up front and did the work immediately. Cleaned up afterwards as well!

I had a job that was pressing after buying our new home. Ray, Eddie, Alex and his crew responded and got the job done! They were puntual and efficient. Highly recommend for any plumbing and even water purifying recommendations.

Had a plumbing emergency late at night...water heater flooding!  Called this company and Jaden talked us through how to shut it off free of charge.  Then he came out and took care of the bad heater and assessed the damage.  Very helpful and professional!

Be careful of this classic bait and switch sales pitch company. They quoted a price over phone, with a coupon that says drain clean 80 bucks with accessible clean out.  Showed them the clean out and they gave some magical excuse that the clean out is inconveniently under the sink.  So they up-charged 100 bucks. They get two stars because rejecting them allowed me to call one more company which got the job done (using said Cleanout) for 53 bucks in less than 15 minutes.

I am so happy with the professional service we received from Ray Aguilar. He takes pride in his workmanship and did the job to my satisfaction. And he informed me of all my options.  He will be the one I call for our future plumbing needs. Thanks Ray!

Anthony and Veronica had GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE which really is hard to find these days. My water heater stopped working suddenly and I didn't know what to do. The gas company came out to light the pilot light but that didn't work. We found American Roto Drains and Plumbing and Anthony came out with his guys and cleaned the dust and debris from the water heater vents and tried again to light the pilot light but it still wouldn't work.
Anthony took his time to explain what the problem was, why it needed to be replaced, and how it would be done. Now that's GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! He even sent an invoice estimate via email the same day with details of the replacement service and price. When I called back to schedule the replacement Veronica answered. She took her time to answer all my questions about payment and scheduling. Thank you both for your attention to detail and your GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! You are amazing people!!!

Ray A. was absolutely amazing!! We had a clogged kitchen sink that started leaking water from below a sealed cabinet. He was very quick, helped us with a different problem and very fair. I highly recommend Ray for anyone dealing with pipes or plumbing problems. I will be calling him for any future issues in our home.

I purchased a Halo 5 stage water Purification and conditioning System from AmericanRoto. I had the service technicians (Joshua and Anthony) come out to my house to give me a quote to install a water softener. They recommendation was I don't install the water softener due to possibly damaging my pipes and appliances from the salt in the system (from their experience and what he frequently sees). They mentioned the Halo 5 stage system which in my opinion sounded like something I wanted. But it was costly ...$4600 costly. We ended going ahead with this system after reading reviews and researching it. I just couldn't commit to installing a salt system to my main water supply because it waters my grass and all interior appliances and plumbing.  

BL: We have hard water and wanted a system to fix it. This sounded like it would fix our hard water problem.

The work/labor performed by Joshua and Anthony was outstanding and is worth a 5 star! The Halo 5 stage system looks great but was a bit expensive. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that after testing the water quality (pH 8.4, TDS 420) from this system, it's still as good as tap water but taste much better. I was somewhat expecting bottled water quality. The chlorine taste from the municipal water is gone and the hardness is still there but not as bad.

Overall great Plumbers @ AmericanRoto... Halo System was overpriced from how it actually performs. Maybe it's something that gets better with time. I would recommend this company and these guys for plumbing work. I would reconsider spending the $$$ on a Halo system. Better off doing more research and maybe investing is under the sink RO system and the Maintenance type of whole house filters i.e. aquasana systems...  I will update this later after I get some experience with the HALO 5 stage system.

We had our irrigation line break and it was gushing water. Aaron came out within 30 minutes and identified the issue and came up with a plan to fix it. He was knowledgeable and kind. He called and followed up when he said he would and fixed everything on time. Highly recommend.

Rey and Ryan were awesome, got the job done quickly and didn't leave a mess. I will recommend them to my friends who don't want to feel stressed out about plumbers visiting.

Anthony was amazing! He came out exceptionally fast and took a vested interest into solving the problem versus charging me an arm and a leg for services I didn't need. I highly recommend and would definitely use him again!

I texted Ray last night (Sunday) about a broken hot water heater.  He responded quickly, came out this morning & got it taken care of.  They were very efficient & friendly. Great service.

I've used American Ally plumbing on 3 separate occasions. I just moved to my new house and had issues with the tankless water heater, upstairs toilet, and kitchen sink. Each time I called I got a quick appointment usually same day if not the next day. They were courteous, professional, and efficient. They explained to me in laymen's terms what the issues were and luckily for me the fees were reasonable.  They are my go to plumbers!

These guys are a class act.  I've had so many problems with bad plumbers who overcharge. These guys were so great so I just had to recommend.  Josh and his partner came immediately and on such short notice.
They spent some time evaluating the situation. Even crawled under the house at night.  They quickly saw that the problem was caused by the previous plumber's mistake. They fixed it in 1 second and then insisted that there was no charge!
Their promptness, professional manners and kindness along with problem solving  skills makes them my new favorite business. Wish there were more stars.

Moved into a new place and day 2 we have yucky water backing up in the bathrooms... called American Roto Drains and they sent someone out within about an hour or so. They even called with an update about the arrival time (this was a Sunday evening). Raymond A came out - super friendly and professional. Knew what he was doing and patiently answered all our dumb questions. Diagnosed the issue, got the water running and used the camera to show us the cause. Very happy with the service:)

I'm very happy and satisfied with American Roto Joshua and Anthony are very nice and professional and most of all they're honest people they explain everything on how the process was they did and exceptional job and fast at a very reasonable price I highly recommend them and I will call them again if ever have a plumbing problem thank you so much guys...

We had a clog that kept happening at our condo complex, another plumber had failed to explain the problem and suggested a costly repair.  I called Ray with American Roto for a second opinion he was very knowledgeable and willing to show us where the problem was.  He suggested a similar repair but was more affordable and willing to explain all the work involved and what to do next.

Ray Aguilar was recommended by a friend to fix a leaky pipe near the water meter. He came on a Saturday immediately to check on it , and came back today, Monday, to do the job. What made the job difficult is the location of the leak which is under the slab on the walkway.  He was able to pull the old pipe out after digging  and replaced it with a copper pipe covered with a plastic sleeve to prevent dirt from sticking. He is very personable, answered all my questions, and showed the materials he used.  I highly recommend him for a plumbing job.

I am so pleased with the excellent service I received from Aaron P. of American Roto. What a kind and helpful gentleman. I really apprecaited his help today. I will definitely​ call him in the future.

We had a plumbing emergency and they came out within the hour to fix it. We're didn't have time to price shop, so I don't know how good their prices are, but the 2 guys who came out were polite and efficient and fixed what was wrong. Our only complaint is that they didn't clean up very well and in fact, they used one of our towels to clean up caulk, so it was totally destroyed and had to be thrown away
