Jason was responsive, helpful in suggesting specific shower parts that we could order in advance, flexible and understanding while working with our HOA rules and timeline, and did a nice job on our shower redirect for the exact rate we were quoted. Alligator was the best plumber I have ever used. I have used others and have done the work myself in an emergency. Jason gave me a quote over the phone and stuck to his word when he came to the house. I had two other companies want to give me free estimates that seemed to hike up their prices when they walk through the door. Jason was professional, prompt and even left a note of things that should be looked at soon under my kitchen sink. I want to use Alligator in the future!!

Alligator Plumbing was recommended to me by a contractor doing repairs to my parents house. I'd reached out to a few plumbing companies I found on Angie's List but had to keep following up with them and none of them even wanted to come by and take a look at what needed to be done. Jason was the sole exception. He came by personally and provided a detailed written estimate for replacing a leaking drainage pipe to the main sewer line and installing a seismic shutoff valve for the gas meter, including a discount for doing both items on the same trip. Pricing was very reasonable. Once I decided to proceed, the job was quickly scheduled. Josh came out, arrived on time and first helped me remove a corroded pipe that I'd been wrestling with myself in the kitchen for the cold water supply line, plus two more in the guest bathroom. He then quickly set about working on the drainage and gas line. Josh was thoroughly professional, quick and efficient. The worksite was cleaned up and restored to original condition when he was done. Whenever I have work like this done, the question I always ask myself is whether I would hire the company again. In the case of Alligator Plumbing, the answer is an unconditional 'Yes'.  I highly recommend Jason/Alligator Plumbing and they will be my first choice for all future plumbing work

Alligator saved the day!  We did a kitchen remodel and I desperately needed a few final things done, things my contractor should've done.
I called Alligator after seeing their trucks around town and reading the yelp reviews. Jason answered the phone right away and got someone out to my house the next day. I can't remember the guys name...I lost his card, but he was so friendly.  (I want to say Kevin..but I'm not sure.)
He had to fix my gas line for my stove by moving it down a little bit and connect it for me.  He had to cut a chunk of sheetrock away and was very careful in making sure it was put back entirely, even though it's behind the stove and no one even sees it.  He got my massive stove up and running perfectly!
My husband had hooked up the dishwasher, but for some reason it wasn't working.  He looked at it and realized it was hooked up correctly, I just didn't know how to turn it on properly...LOL  No judgement!  As we were chatting we both smelled gas and realized that the gas line my contractor had put in for the stove with the on/off lever was leaking. He promptly fixed that for me also.
We had some really awful experiences renovating this house we bought and dealing with shady people has been such a pain. It was so refreshing to deal with honest and upfront people who actually give a crap about the customers and about the quality of work they do.  If I could give these guys more stars I would.  Thank you so much!

We found a leak in the utility closet. Upon closer inspection and opening the drywall, we noticed that sewer line from upstairs toilet had come apart at a joint (yikes!). We frantically searched for a plumber and found Alligator Plumbing from a Nextdoor posting. I called them, Jason answered and scheduled the appointment for next day.

Next day, I got a call a couple of hours ahead of the timeframe - Michael said they are running ahead and wanted to see if they could come sooner. I agreed. Justin and Michael inspected the situation, gave me a quote that was pretty reasonable (less than the minimum quoted by another company). They took care of the issue quickly (including the work that needed to be done in the crawl space).  They also offered tips on how to repair the drywall and hasten the moisture evaporation.

They were so good that I asked them to also replace an aging water shut off valve (for additional charge, of course). They took care of that also in a jiffy. I will definitely call them if at all I need a plumber in the future (hopefully not anytime soon!).

Alligator Plumbing recently came and installed an expansion tank on our water heater and did some other general maintenance including a new cold water shutoff and new TP valve. He did an excellent job with the installation and was very knowledgeable as well giving great tips on general water heater care. He was clean and meticulous and overall I was very pleased with the job. We no longer have water pressure issues with the expansion tank installed. They were also very responsive and came out the next day to do the job. I highly recommend them!

Alligator was recommended by several moms in the Castro Valley Mothers Club.  I was very pleased with the customer service and the workmanship of Alligator Plumbing.  Used them twice so far.  Once to clear slow running drain and a leak, which were caused by poorly designed and installed drain pipes.  Matt rebuilt two drains and cleared clogs and reset our bowl sink.  Gave good advice on replacing a bathroom sink faucet.  We purchased the replacement faucet and Jafar came out to install it.  Both times, my husband and I felt we received great service at a fair price.  The estimate for repairs was exactly what they charged.  Will gladly use them again!

Jason Alligator's proprietor is an experienced twenty first century plumber who does excellent work.  Having a home over one hundred years needless to say my set up was funky.  Jason rebuilt under the sink and replaced a broken faucet with a bad leak.  I also had garbage disposal issues, that was corrected as well, and now everything is hunky dory.

Manny and Mike did an excellent job on my tub and sink. Very professional and personable guys that went the extra mile to accommodate my urgent need!  Highly recommend this dynamic duo for any plumbing issues. We had Alligator plumbing come out to modify some gas and water line connections in our laundry room for a new washer and dryer. Jason and his guys were very knowledgeable and professional, and we were very satisfied with the work done. I highly recommend them if you are in need of a good plumber.

These guys showed up about an hour after I called and made three repairs to the plumbing in my home super fast.  They had all the parts on the truck and I'm shocked at good the price was.  I will definitely call them next time.

I am just getting around to writing this review  for this wonderful company. A few weeks ago I Alligator out to re-pipe my home. The team, lead by Jason, was  on time and they were very clean while they worked.

When they finished all the work, Jason walked with me through my entire home showing me  what they had done and he answered all of my questions. If anyone is looking for a plumber, pickup the phone and call these guys.

I called Alligator to quote a plumbing job for our room additions.  Jason responded quickly, viewed the work and provided an estimate very quickly.  He estimated it would take about 2 days to complete the work.

The technician Freddi quickly diagnosed the problem and explained the solution to me in a way that was easy to understand. He worked efficiently to fix the issue, and even took the time to clean up after himself once the job was done.
Overall, I was extremely impressed with Alligator Plumbing and Freddi's excellent service.

My wife and I needed a number of items addressed on the house we just purchased and Erik was very thorough when doing the initial walkthrough with us. He went through each recommendation in great detail and when our existing plumbing setup provided a tricky situation for the biggest ticket item (new water heater), Erik took detailed notes so he could sync with Jason on possible solutions. Jason then came by personally to evaluate our setup, allowing for a more accurate quote, and walked us through the options that would best meet the needs of our family while also keeping our budget reasonable. When the time came for the tankless water heater to be installed, Erik and Mike were posed with a big challenge--they needed to work in a crawl space filled with water after it rained non-stop in Castro Valley over multiple weeks. They weren't fazed by it at all and were always careful to prevent any mud from getting tracked into the house; they even hosed down the garage floor before wrapping up just to be 100% sure everything was cleaned thoroughly. I wasn't able to be home for the county inspection but Jason went above and beyond, making sure he was here to meet the inspector so everything would go smoothly.

I can't thank everyone at Alligator Plumbing enough and we'll definitely be using them again when the time comes to repipe our house!

Jason is amazing!  We have had problems with plumbers in the past, but found Jason nearly perfect!  He is polite, professional, accommodating, extremely knowledgeable and his prices are VERY fair. We are so happy to have found him, and recommend him HIGHLY.  We wouldn't call anyone else!

Was having water pressure issues and thought it was because we had galvanized pipes that needed to be replaced. They came, looked around and suggested replacing the water pressure valve.  

We did that and now the water pressure issues are fixed.

To clarify, I haven't had any plumbing work done. Knock on wood, I haven't needed it.

But if I ever did, Jason is the guy I would call. Jason is the guy I would call if my wife was in labor and our car broke down. He's dependable, a man of character. I've seen his plumbing prowess in speaking with others he's worked for and with. He has a passion for service and helping others. Even though, I haven't needed to use his service I'm confident in recommending him to others.

My husband and I have called him on a number of occasions, from fixing unexplained squealing pipes to getting to the root of our leaking bathroom sink issues.

When the outcome for one project was that we really just needed to get new faucets, because the old ones we had were just, well, bad, our first question was if we should call Jason once we'd made that purchase. He took just a couple of minutes to show us how simple they would be for us to install ourselves, but assured us we could of course call if we got hung up. And he was right- we were able to install them easily without assistance. Roof was leaking...on a Saturday it was leaking....SATURDAY!!! Knowing I'd get screwed on some emergency fee I took a gamble and texted these guys...

Jason answered the text in 5 minutes and set up a Monday appointment for 830am. Mine and Tyler showed up, cordial and there to get the job done right.

Shoe covers went on without question, new plastic tarps went down, and the inspection began. Leak was fixed, no bs, no head ache, all professional and delivered a great job.

You can find descent people anywhere but it's hard to find great people. Good job guys. You'll have my business for years to come.

I had a sewer line backup and Alligator was one of the only plumbers who returned my call. They came out right away and worked on it but couldn't get it cleared. They referred me to a different plumber who came out within a couple hours and was able to completely clear the line. The Alligator employee was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely call them again and recommend them to anyone.

I love these guys. They know what they are doing and do it well. Highly professional and reasonable prices as well. I recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for plumbing services. They are the best you'll find.

TLDR: Straightforward, friendly, and no B.S. to-the-point assessment and problem solving. Jason and his team ended up saving me $800 and has me a customer for life because of it.

My renter below us complained of the hot water not being hot enough (there's a disparity between the temperature up above and the temperature down below so that setting the water heater level to hot would leave it scalding upstairs but warm downstairs, setting it to level A or B would leave the water scalding/boiling up above but just hot enough downstairs, etc.  Unfortunately, when my shower cartridge that controlled the water temperature for my upstairs shower broke, there were only two temperature settings: either scalding hot or or cold; this forced me to turn down my water heater to low which would leave me with hot water upstairs but too cold downstairs.  

I called another plumber at first to diagnose this problem and though he did tell me that my water heater settings were too low to start with (hot really meant warm downstairs LOL...who knew...I didn't because it was sufficiently hot upstairs), he also recommended that I install a hot water circulator/connector along with replacing my shower cartridge.  

However, Jason told me that this would only allow the hot water to be received faster and wasn't entirely necessary since simply turning up the water heater to A or B allowed my renter to receive sufficiently hot water (she could simply leave the water running for 15-30 seconds to receive sufficiently hot water in her bathroom/kitchen which is on the opposite end of the house from the water heater).  I decided to have him simply replace the shower cartridge upstairs, choosing the path of least resistance

Deciding on his recommendation allowed me to spend only $200 to replace the cartridge versus spending $1000 to install an unnecessary (as of now) hot water circulator throughout the entire house.  Considering at first I would have to spend $10-$15k to change all the pipes, this is a huge relief to me LOL.

Jason and his technician Michael were both super friendly, respectful, skilled, considerate (masks on/booties on), and professional.  My shower cartridge was replaced in little to no time.  

To know that they both grew up in Castro Valley and attended the middle school two blocks down the street from me also has me feeling extra good inside knowing I'm supporting the businesses in my community. Well done and continued success to you, Alligator Plumbing! You will have all my plumbing business from here on out!

I called Jason to fix my garbage disposal and clogged tub.  He responded very quickly.  He was very clear about the work he was going to do and with the costs depending on which routes I wanted to take.  He got everything fixed pretty quickly and described exactly what the problem was in each situation.  He is friendly and professional, I'll definitely call him again for any future plumbing needs.

Our pump (30yrs) base was flooded. Asking Mike do you have any Alligator swimming in there yes 3 of them they remove the old pump, pumped all the sewage water. Cleaned the area. Install a new pump.  Hopefully we are good to for a long. Thanks for your patience and great job.

Alligator Plumbing has been my go-to plumbing company since 2021. I first used them when we converted our half-bathroom into a full bathroom and then again when we remodeled our 2nd bathroom. Jason and his team are so great! They're responsive, personable, honest and really respectful of people's property. Jason continuously kept me in the loop throughout the entire process and explained his reasoning for doing things. When I needed help picking out good quality, but reasonably priced, hardware, he took his time to look at my choices and gave me his honest opinion. When installing my handheld showerhead, he said he scratched it (it was a very small scratch that I could barely see) and immediately bought a brand new one. I told him it wasn't a big deal, but he takes pride in his work and wanted to make sure everything was perfect.

Although I don't have any ongoing projects, I still reach out to them when I have plumbing needs. Even if I just have a question, Jason will take his time to help me. I highly recommend these guys and will not go with anyone else!

Many thanks to Jason for great communication and help, and to Eric for a very professional installation when we changed our old bathtub 3 valve plumbing to a very nice looking and modern Moen single valve set in Castro Valley. Alligator really tried hard and spent hours trying to find  a replacement for our old valve set, but alas it was not meant to be. They were very upfront with all options and costs, and in my opinion very reasonable for all the work they did for us. Eric even replaced an old worn out hose valve array that had been leaking for a long time in the front when I asked him, even though he had finished the bathtub job. I can't say enough about this company, and I highly recommend them for your plumbing needs.  I will definitely give them a call when I have future plumbing problems.

I have an old shower that wasn't producing hot water. I went through 3 other plumbers who checked it out and told me that the cartridge was too old to be replaced. Two of them told me that in addition to replacing the whole shower system I'd have to hire someone to replace tile that had to be removed. Quotes to fix ranged from $650-2,000.  I felt compelled to get one more opinion. Alligator plumbing was recommended from another company that did not service my area. I called and Jason was immediately on it. He came out to my house and within an hour had the problem fixed, and charged NOWHERE NEAR what had been proposed by other companies. Plus he said the cartridge was common and any good plumber should know this. Tile work was completely unnecessary. I was so angry at the process I put myself through but so relieved with the final outcome.

Jason was friendly, efficient and professional. I would highly recommend his company and will use him for any future plumbing needs.

Jason is one of the hardest working guys I have met. He replaced our water main and when he hit a snag he just kept on working until the problem was resolved, came back the next day to finish up and kept a cheerful attitude throughout.

I wish I could give 10 stars.  We had a confusing situation regarding our shower tub diverter combo.  Some parts were Delta and others Price Pfister.  I really don't know what else to say more than Jason(owner) went above and beyond to get everything right.  Would I call on Alligator Plumbing again?  YES.  Would I recommend them?  YES.  Also the communication from Jason was top notch.  Thank you!!

I had a high water bill and was pretty sure that the culprits were a running toilet and leaky sprinkler shut off valve.  I explained my problem and they were able to give me a ballpark of the costs if it were indeed the problem and were able to make and appointment to come check things out a few days later.

The problems ended up being almost as I described, but the total cost was a little more because there was additional work needed.  And for full disclosure, their cost to do the work was less than the other estimate I got.  Erik came out to do the work with another guy from his crew and both of them were courteous, explained things in detail, gave me tips to troubleshoot, and did good work.  The only reason why I am docking them one star is because they showed up 2 hours late due to their previous job which went over, and they only called me 30 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment time to let me know.  Would have been nice to have a little more heads up so I didn't have to rush home from work, but if I needed plumbing help, I would call them again.

Jason recently replaced my water heater and water main line, both preventive maintenance. He was courteous, prompt, knowledgable and professional. There are a lot of tree roots around the water main line and Jason dug them out carefully and I could not even tell when he was done backfilling. Very happy with his work. Highly recommended.

I'd like to thank Alligator plumbing for helping me with our leak.  I had called two other plumbers, all local, all well reviewed here on yelp, but I had not so good dealings with them.
Jason,  on the other hand,  answered right away. I explained that I have a leak under the sink, somewhere, that I can't see,  because it was causing water damage.  The linoleum was getting soft.  He scheduled an appointment for me.
The two other plumbers I called said different things.  Both of them said to call other people.  One said to call a leak detector and another said to call someone who can snake the line.  Totally different responses.  
The day of the appointment,  Mike came and immediately determined that it was the waste line from our dishwasher that wasn't connected.  He said even if the dishwasher wasn't connected,  the water was still running.  Two years this was going on and slowly damaging the floor.  
He had no problem going into the crawlspace, even if he is tall, twice,  maybe even three times, to make sure things were right. He even investigated another problem we were having with our washing machine pipes.  That's a bigger project we have to schedule in the future.  Mike replaced a valve and hopefully this stops further damage to the floor.  
I can't believe the two other plumbers didn't even want to deal with it at all.  Lesson learned here, folks,  call Alligator first.  Jason didn't dismiss my problem. He scheduled us in and Mike fixed the problem with the leak.

Alligator Plumbing is a great local business. They're a little overwhelmed since they're down a man but when they show up they deliver. We have a tricky pedestal sink that they were able to get in behind it and snake it without removing it so that was a relief. All in all good company with super nice employees. Good plumbers are not cheap but once again like Mom says you get what you pay for. Top-notch service.

Unbelievable as to how professional this company is! When you call most plumbers they tell you they charge $100 or $124/hr, but will not tell you how long the job will take - so are you getting a fast plumber or slow plumber? No telling what the job will actually cost. Jason at Alligator gave me a firm quote, over the phone, when I first called him and honored the quote exactly when he completed the job. He was meticulous in the way he worked and did not leave until he had thoroughly tested the installations for leaks. The job was done perfectly at an absolutely reasonable price and he guarantees his work for one year. I say you can not find another plumber more fairly priced and more skilled!

We had a complicated plumbing issue with our sump pump that two other plumbers were unable to fix.  Jason was able to figure it out and get it resolved for us.  He and his entire team couldn't be more professional or reliable.  They truly know what they are doing.  Wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

I recently purchased a new (old) home, and one of our important goals was to have the old plumbing replaced. After looking around on Yelp I found these guys at Alligator. They sent out Jason who gave a good quote and was able to take care of what we needed to replace. After checking out a few other companies this was the cheapest and would use what we felt were the best parts. Everything went well, as promised, and the water pressure feels great!

I can't say enough good things about Jason and Alligator plumbing. He came to install an automatic gas shut-off, then a series of problems was discovered and I was lucky enough to have him here to address them over two days. He was unfailingly pleasant his work is very finished and professional, and his prices are good. A lot of digging was required, and you can hardly tell. He replaced a gas line, drain line, and installed a new water heater. My highest recommendation.

Doesn't carry hyper jet and can't help me. One can buy a jet (or balloon) you put on the end of a hose for like 15$ at Home Depot. Every plumber should have this. It is super basic. Hard to hear the guy on the other end of line. Slightly rude. I just hung up on him and going to the next company. Odd experience because I have heard so many good things about alligator plumbing.

EDIT  of 5/31/18 review...Jason the owner did call me back to first apologize for not getting back to me and also to explain the office's situation.  Basically, he's a one man shop and work has been on overload, so he was in the process if hiring an office person to handle the appointments, call backs, billing, etc... He was apologetic and nice and not confrontational despite me giving him a low rating.  I would consider trying him again when I need plumbing services.  

That need for plumbing services was last week.  My garbage disposal conked our after 23 years....I wasn't going to use the last two plumbers that came by because one was not too friendly (office staff) and the other one lacked attention to detail.  So I started to look at Yelp!  and Nextdoor for recommendations.  I narrowed my list down to two,  but one didn't have a license and the other was a bit expensive.  I then called Alligator Plumbing.  I spoke with Jason, explained what I needed and he quoted me a price for parts and labor and gave me additional prices just in case those services related to the install were necessary.  We tried to coordinate a time, but wasn't able to get something within the week, so I told him I would call him back.  FF to when I was able to get a time on his schedule, he arrived a couple of minutes early and got to work.  The removal/install went smoothly except for a minor issue with the drain (in which Jason addressed in the quote).  Got everything installed, tested and cleaned within an hour and was able to assess another issue I had asked him about.  

Very happy with his work, he was upfront with the quote and a very nice guy.  After going through a few plumbers, I finally found one that checks all the boxes.  Will definitely use Alligator Plumbing going forward for all my plumbing needs....

Started off with a leak somewhere in our house (we couldn't pinpoint it) and, based on a referral from a highly rated plumbing company that doesn't service our area, ended up calling Alligator. Jason was extremely professional, on time and found our issue within minutes. Instead of upselling, he advised on a quick and effective solution that was also inexpensive. This service was so great, we had Jason come back to fix some leaking pipes due to rodents. Again, the service was exceptional (he even left the pipes to show where the rodents had chewed holes). While I hope I won't have the need, Alligator will be my first call for any plumbing issues!

When we changed from an electric to a gas oven, we used Alligator Plumbing to tap into the gas line at the meter and run a pipe all the way to the kitchen.  Their work was quick, quite, and performed very professionally.  They cleaned up after themselves well and worked with the city inspector to ensure all was up to code.  They explained everything to us regarding the entire process and were easy to do business with.  We would definitely use them again.

After noticing a small leak under my water heater I decided to give them a call. I spoke with Jason and he explained my options to me. Did a great job installing a new water heater, new hose bib up to my 2nd floor balcony, three new toilets and a new kitchen faucet.  Jason listened to my concerns about hot water taking too long to make it up to my 3rd floor shower so I was quoted a recirculating pump that I ended up not needing after living with the new water heater.  I believe I received good value for the material and services.  His team was always very polite and accommodating.  I would actually consider them four and a half stars.  With only a half star being taken off for some minor items that either were quickly resolved or ended up being moot.

The guys at Alligator Plumbing are amazing! They respond quickly and are honest and fair.  I had an idea for my laundry closet which would have required the moving of a gas line and inserting a box to embed it into the wall and they talked me out of it, offering a different option which was better and cost me a third of the price. Alligator Plumbing was the second phone call I made to get an estimate for replacing two toilets and a garbage disposal.  Jason answered right away, giving me a firm quote over the phone that was much less than the first company.  We scheduled the appointment for the following week.

Jason was very prompt, calling a few minutes before arrival yesterday.  We went over what was to be done and he and Mike got right to work.  They told me it would take about two hours. Both were very pleasant and answered all the questions I had.  Jason had to replace the angle stop in the upstairs bathroom because it broke.  I was glad that he told me it was better that it broke when he was doing it since it was plastic and could be replaced with a quality metal angle stop.

My wife and I purchased a house about a year ago.  The home was built in the 1940s and had the original galvanized steel pipes and drains.  There were certain aspects of the water system that was annoying: low water pressure, drains that were prone to clogging, slow hot water, etc.

I decided to get quotes from various companies for a full repipe/drain replacement.  I was impressed with Jason from Alligator Plumbing from the get-go.  Whereas some companies either gave me an estimate over the phone (without having seen anything in my house) or after a cursory look around my house, Jason meticulously looked at every aspect of the pipes and drains.  This included him putting on a crawl suit and going through the crawl space of the house.  The resulting detailed quote was either lower than some of the other companies or were highly competitive.

We decided to have Alligator do the re-pipe and also decided to have a new garbage disposal and water heater installed.  They showed up on a Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. and shut the water off.  By the end of the day, the water supply system had been replaced and the water was back on.  The next day, they came again promptly at 8:30 a.m. and replaced all the drains, installed the water heater, and installed the garbage disposal.  The work was done by 5:00 p.m. that day.  My house presented some unique challenges, but they had no problems figuring out ways to get the work done.  

The crew included Jason and three other individuals who were all great.  They were very careful with the house (they put down tarps inside the house where they had to walk, wore covers over their shoes, etc.) and worked super efficiently.  

The work looks amazing and, more importantly, the water pressure is perfect, the hot water moves quickly, and I don't have to worry about the (literally) corroded through drains any more.

I will be using them for all my plumbing needs going forward!

Our master shower was fluctuating between hot & cold water and the flow rate had decreased. Jason came out to troubleshoot and repair. He tested our water heater & shower to diagnose the issue. What was most impressive to me was his communication. During his troubleshooting process, he got in touch with our water heater manufacturer and was able to get the answer to my question about how old the unit was. With the shower, he discovered the flow restrictor had broken,  causing the fluctuation in temperature (as well as the decreased flow rate). He got through to Delta, the shower head manufacturer, explained the issue, got them to send out a replacement for free, and set up a case for our residence in the event that the other fixtures we have throughout the house fail. Honestly, it may sound silly, but it felt like concierge plumbing service! We are grateful for Jason's help and will surely contact him again for any plumbing needs.

I contacted Alligator Plumbing through Yelp for a trio of problems that had cropped up.  I heard back promptly from Jason, who talked through the issues with me over the phone and set up an appointment that worked with my schedule.  Mike arrived on time.  He gave me options for some of the problems, including simpler and less expensive repairs than the replacements I had anticipated.  He was polite, worked efficiently, and left the work area clean.  The price was very reasonable.  Next time I have a plumbing problem, I'll call Alligator first.

The cartridge in my shower/tub combo faucet knob thing broke and was causing the water to not properly shut off without finding the sweet spot.  Also, the hot/cold water hoses were backwards when we bought the place (not a big problem, but annoying enough.)  There were also 4 bathroom sinks that weren't draining well.  Alligator came out the following week (since nothing was urgent) and got everything fixed in about an hour.  The plumber was friendly, fast, neat/tidy and it didn't cost me too much.  They are about mid-way in the range of what plumbing usually costs/in this area/for the work that they did.  For the # of great reviews they have and quality of work, I think the cost is totally appropriate. Would definitely recommend and will call them again if anything else comes up.

We've had the pleasure of them working on our home plumbing twice in the last 6 months. The first job was to properly pipe in a slop sink and hookups for a washing machine in our garage, and replace a toilet in our bathroom. They were one of three plumbers we received quotes from. Their quote was straightforward and reflected their vast experience in providing these services to homeowners. At all times I felt like they were suggesting what they would do for their family and friends: the right solution that won't require future work to keep performing flawlessly. They did such a great job that we immediately asked them to give us a quote for some additional work that we had been putting off for nearly a decade. In both cases, the quoted price seemed too good to be true (especially compared to the ludicrous quotes being bandied about by the few other plumbers we could even get to bid for the projects). The quotes seemed to honestly reflect a good labor rate and the average cost of materials. We waited for the other shoe to drop.

It didn't. They came in under budget!

The most recent visit was to replumb the mess under our kitchen sink that we'd put up with half-solutions for so long, correct the issues we were having with the stems in our very old shower, and properly install the plumbing on a new vanity for our bathroom. Oh, and prior to their arrival we asked over the phone if they could investigate the overflow on our tub as our kids helped us discover that it gushes water into the ceiling below just a short time prior to our scheduled service. This trip was no different than the last. Prompt arrival, excellent work, excellent communication, and amazing results. Our home is many decades old and reflects that in the form of many DIY repairs, unusual choices and questionable notions about how plumbing works. None of that phased them and they've always come through for us.

I was informed by another plumbing company (during a routine service call) that all of the pipes under my 1935 home needed to be replaced, to the tune of $4,900.  Based on very positive Nextdoor.com reviews, I called Alligator Plumbing for another bid.  They explained that there would be a charge of $185 for a full inspection, which could be applied to whatever work was required.  Within less than two hours, Mike appeared at my door, and after crawling beneath my house proclaimed that my pipes were absolutely fine.  Best money I ever spent!  I've found my new plumbers!!

Jason came to my house today to inspect an 'air hammer' issue in my pipes. He arrived within 30 minutes or my initial call and was professional and thorough. I want to preface this that I did not hire Alligator BUT Jason did teach me how to find the plumber that I did eventually hire for all the work I needed done. A big shout out of excellent workmanship to Jason & his crew from Alligator Plumbing. Jason, the owner, did all the plumbing work for our bathroom remodel. He gave detailed explanations of what was being done which included something called check & balances to ensure that there is no water leak.  He returned back a couple days later & noticed a small water leak which he promptly fixed. He was meticulous in his work and respectful to our stipulated requests. He kept everything clean, neat & organized at the end of the day.  His other 2 crew staff did a great job installing all the other plumbing fixtures for the shower, double vanity sinks and toilet.

This review is LONG overdue. We have worked with Alligator plumbing on 4 different projects and all have been a 5-star experience. Jason, the owner is fantastic and a really good person. We have worked with him and his team on upgrading our laundry plumbing, renovating a bathroom, trouble shooting a leaking bathtub (into the garage below) and then our leaking/flooding toilet (our poor garage). In times of crisis, Jason has been super responsive despite being in high demand. Last October, my InSinkErator Badger 5 garbage disposal started slowly leaking under the kitchen sink. I purchased an InSinkErator Evolution Compact to replace it, but given that I'm not exactly Tim The Toolman Taylor, I needed a plumber to install the new unit. I contacted several local businesses, and Alligator Plumbing was among the lowest quotes.

On the day of my scheduled appointment, two gentlemen (I forget their names) arrived promptly and completed the job in no time. They even noticed that my P-trap had been previously installed backwards, so they fixed that during the installation. Since both my old and new garbage disposals were InSinkErators, they were able to re-use the existing power cord so that I wouldn't have to buy one from them. It's been 3 months since the installation, and my new garbage disposal has been operating problem-free. I'd definitely contact Alligator Plumbing again for my future plumbing needs.

Well we now see why this company has so many 5 stars. Honest and professional. We asked for an estimate for a new tankless water heater system expecting a price tag of about $4,000. Within a matter of minutes Jason pointed out to us that we didn't need a new system at all but rather our problem was a leaking pipe. The repairs needed will be under $200. It's always refreshing to find a company that proves to be honest.

Hands down these guys are in my phone FOREVER. They are busy so be patient as they are worth the wait. I tried to be a plumber via youtube videos (not a good idea FYI) to fix a leak.
