We needed a circuit upgraded for a new garage gate at our condo+commercial building, and Frankie did an awesome job for us. He and his apprentice showed up on time, did clean work, and were generally just chill, friendly guys.
We'd had an oddly difficult time finding an electrician for this job. Several expressed interest and then ghosted us. Another insisted on a gold plated solution that would be almost $10k. Frankie was happy to work with our somewhat funky wiring as is, and delivered a solution that was straightforward, to code, and reasonably priced.
If you deal with contractors frequently, you know that finding someone who returns calls, delivers quality work, and does what they say they're going to feels like striking gold. AOE has all those qualities. They'll be first on our list for future electrical work at the building.

I found Frankie through Yelp and he was able to help me within the next few days for installing my car charger. I was in a rush since we just moved in and had no way of charging my car efficiently!
I did my research and was glad that I chose Frankie! He was reasonably priced and was so knowledgeable in the installation process. I had many questions and he was able to answer with no hesitation. I had a good experience with Francisco and his team. The scope of the project was to add a dedicated circuit for the over the hood microwave. The original circuit was overloaded. Francisco came by in person and gave a quote afterwards. Pricing was reasonable, and he was on site for the entirety of the project, ensuring quality and oversight. Initially, I noticed a small chip in the wall after the sub panel was reinstalled and notified Francisco. He was prompt in fixing the minor issue despite his busy schedule. I appreciate his honesty and accountability. I would recommend him for future projects.
Francisco came out to help me with an issue with a dryer that was brand new, and not really working very well. The dryer technician blamed it on the wiring. Francisco helped sort out the confusion between whether it was a dryer issue or a wiring issue in my building, he
was so helpful and friendly. He came quickly and helped resolve the issue clearly. I can't say enough nice things about him. He was so thorough! He even took apart my circuit box panel to make sure all the wiring was appropriate.

It's so hard to find knowledgeable, trustworthy and affordable trades people these days which makes me so thankful I found Francisco. I was doing some remodeling of my home and attempted to do the electrical too. Why not! Well that was a bad idea. I ended up with wires hanging from the wall, caps and electrical tape everywhere along with missing plugs and plates. It was chaos. I found Francisco through and gave him a shot.
He showed up, checked the situation out, came down dripping sweat and covered in insulation and gave me the bad news. I knew it was going to be a lot of work but he walked me through everything that needed to be done and gave me what I thought was a more than fair price. I really appreciated his commitment and friendliness. I approved the job and he showed up the next week on time and hit the ground running.
The entire day went by and Francisco did not stop. He had the parts needed and absolutely knocked my headache of a project out the park! Everything was completed on time, within budget and cleaner than when he showed up. I can't thank you enough for for helping me out in a pinch!

We bought a new stove but didn't realize the new one had a four prong hookup but we only had a three prong. Francisco picked up my call that day and was out to check it out within the hour. Francisco is the best! He explained to me what the issue was with my electricity and was very thorough and efficient. I'm so glad that I found him on yelp! I would give additional stars but apparently 5 is the limit on yelp.
Requested a quote from Francisco and he was prompt to respond. We were initially scheduled for a week out, but as soon as a a lot opened up on the same day, he called back and was able to fit me into their busy schedule.
As for the work, they were able to resolve my issue promptly at a reasonable price. Happy customer here. I have found my go to for future electrical work.

We had an entire wall of outlets go out. The previous owner of our place had done bad wiring that melted and caused a short. I called Franco at 8am, and he had fixed the problem by 11am! Thank you for the great, expeditious service!
It's so rare these days to find technicians who are not only competent, but also reasonably priced. Enter Francisco! Not only was he very knowledgable, he was easy to schedule with, communicative, and best of all, friendly. He is such a happy-go-lucky guy with a great attitude, and even better, he loves dogs :)
I had Francisco come and troubleshoot my outdoor light fixtures and change them out and install new ones. He had availability right away and was able to turn around the job in a few hours. When I had a small issue with some of the lights, he was responsive and came out to fix the issue for no charge.
He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and on top of that was a pleasure to work with. Oh and for any type A customers out there, he was also on-time for every appointment! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a skilled electrician!
We needed some new lines run down in our crawl space. Francisco made time for a consultation same week, and came back the next week with his assistant. They were done in just a couple of hours, didn't leave any mess, and their work is holding up well after six months. Francisco was very professional and knowledgeable, and he also quickly rewired some messy haphazard stuff that a prior electrician had left behind. I will definitely be asking him for his help going forward.

We noticed a smoking electrical outlet (yikes!) in the morning. I called a few places, but no one had availability for several weeks. When I contacted Francisco, he rearranged things to get me in within a few days. Then, he called back with a cancellation and had his crew at our house by the same afternoon. The lights went out in our kitchen and dining room, I thought that it was a bad circuit breaker, but I wasn't sure. I called Francisco, and even though he was booked, because it was early, he was able to send someone over. Juan came over and fixed the breaker, and even changed out the switches that we had in the kitchen to the correct switches for LED lights. He made sure that every plug was working, that the lights didn't flicker, and most importantly that the work done was safe. Francisco also guarantees his workmanship for 10 years. (This doesn't include devices)
I will definitely call Francisco for any future electrical needs.

Frankie was prompt, thoughtful, and effective in assisting me in with a time sensitive outdoor electrical outlet issue that was impacting our hot water heater. He made himself available and was able to help fix the issue quickly while being easy to collaborate with. Can't recommend him enough.
Called around because I needed a new electrical panel and some new lighting in the home. Frankie explained slowly and make sure our family understands what needed to be done and when will it be finish. I called this company to work on a couple of electrical issues in our rental home. They were able to come within a day and quickly resolved the issues. During the troubleshooting the technician discovered a couple of potential safety hazards and made some recommendations. After I approved the work, they quickly implemented their recommendations. They were very flexible and worked around the renter's somewhat difficult schedule. I would highly recommend this company!

I used the Yelp - Request a quote feature and Alameda Oakland Electrical was one of the responders. I met Francisco during the inspection/quote stage and he was a friendly, knowledgeable, and also grew up in the Bay. He even fixed a bad light switch within minutes without any charge using his own parts! His quote was very reasonable, and through various emails and texts we finalized the work date and details.
Francisco arrived as scheduled, greeted my ferocious dogs with love, and completed the job without any issues (addition of GCFI plugs on the 2nd story bathrooms). All in all, it was a painless experience from quote to finish and an enjoyable time with Francisco in the house. An easy recommendation from me and more quotes to come for sure!

Where to start? Frankie is an all around good guy. Very easy to work with and explains everything. He was very patient with me, I tend to ask a lot of questions and can be I can be annoying. He re wired my entire house built in 1897 at a reasonable price. He coordinated a tankless water heater with our plumber and they both worked together well. Francisco was so responsive, from the initial call, he picked up the phone while he was onsite at another job. Most other companies would send you to voicemail or an answering service. You can get right through to him, rare to see now a days. He was able to come within the hour I called for the estimate, and provided the estimate timely. Estimate was fair, and we proceeded with the work. We were so happy with his work and how he was able to solve our issue with breakers popping. He was great with coordinating the work while I was away from the house too, so responsible. I highly recommend. Thank you Francisco!
Frankie provided quick and excellent service when it came to our tankless water heater connection. Initially, I thought it was just a bad circuit breaker, but it turn out to be much more and I'm very grateful to have had a professional and kind person address a poor installation and fix it. I will be reaching out to AOE for future projects.
We needed immediate service after PG&E determined that our weather head connections needed replacing. PG&E required the repair before restoring power to our location. Basically, we needed power ASAP. Luckily, I found Alameda Oakland Electrical Services on Yelp. My coworker and I found them to be quick, transparent, and professional. They came out the next day for an estimate and were able to finish the repair the following day. It was a very smooth process. I highly recommend them to anyone for their electrical needs!
Frankie did an amazing job installing an extra outlet in our bathroom and coordinated with plumbers to have it ready just in time for their part of the job, like clockwork. He also installed a weatherproof outlet for our bistro lights. This was all at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend Frankie and Alameda Oakland Electric!

Frankie was great with replacing our light fixtures and installing new ceiling fans in ours and our child's room. He was very responsive when scheduling and arrived during the window stated. He worked quickly and cleaned up everything afterwards as well. I also appreciate that he offered to take his shoes off in our home (without us asking) which was culturally respectful and he was very sweet to our dog and kid as well. Definitely recommend him!

Frankie and his crew rewired my house in Alameda. An older house with post and knob wiring with lath and plaster walls, they did an amazing job of all new wiring, replaced existing outlets as well as adding additional outlets. Upgraded service, new service panel, new indoor breaker panel. Frankie and I communicated early as to what needed to be done and they accomplished everything we talked about without me being there most of the time. Frankie treated that house as if it were his own. I would recommend AOE anytime!

EXCELLENT service!!! Frankie is the BEST electrician out there! Frankie is prompt, caring and responsive. From the initial phone call I made to the end of the projects he was honest, fair and...yes, he is definitely an expert in his field. He has so much knowledge and experience... I felt safe to have Frankie and his team work on electrical issues. True professional that I felt I could 100% trust. I really appreciate that Frankie and his team (including Juan Carlos) took the time to carefully examine all the electrical issues we were dealing with and help fix everything so beautifully and perfectly. The electricity in my bathroom went out the other day, so I called Francisco. I told him what was going on and he came by the next day. He had great communication and showed up right on time. When he got here, I showed him where the problem was and he literally came in and fixed within 2 minutes and didn't charge me anything. He told me clearly how to fix it over the phone but for some reason I thought he meant something else. All I had to do was push the reset button on the outlet lol (I'm an idiot). He was extremely honest and he didn't even charge me a fee for wasting his time and gas. I have worked work with all kinds of repair people that will try and squeeze money out of you just to look at the problem. Francisco is all about integrity and if I ever have a real problem or know someone that needs an electrician he will be my first recommendation.

I sent through a Yelp request for a quote and got in touch with Francisco, from the outset he was super helpful, knowledgeable and professional, answering all my questions and walking me through the process of what was required to install my car charger outlet. On top of all that he gave me a very competitive quote, with a breakdown of all the work and costs, which included the permitting. On the day of the job he turned up on time, got everything done, clarified a few important things along the way. Honestly I was so surprised at how great this whole experience was and would not hesitate to recommend Francisco and his team.
We bought an old home that needed most of the wiring and outlets updated and replaced. Frankie and team were all very professional, friendly and responsive during the full process. They are great about communicating the day before for scheduling and then explaining what work will be done each day and why.

Frankie is a very honest and reliable electrician. He has done at excellent job at my restaurant. His work is nothing but perfection and he deserves 5 stars for his expertise and professionalism.
Needed a breaker replaced. My panel was installed in 1979. AOE went abover and beyond to find and then replace our breaker. I had a new stove installed today and when they left the installers said I needed an electrician to replace one of my breakers or the stove would not work. AOE came early, went on the hunt for the breaker and was able to fix things so my wife and I could have dinner. We are so grateful and I would highly recommend AOE. They are professional and I trust their work.

I called Alameda Oakland Electrical to help my elderly parents fix a light issue. After replacing bulbs for them a few times and having them burn out over a 2 week period we knew something was wrong. Frank was responsive and available to help. While I couldn't be at the home during the time he stopped by, he knew what the issue was right away and fixed it. He even spent time chatting with them which he didn't need to do. He was very personable and helpful. Thank you!
I had an issue with my drier outlet and Francisco was prompt in response. He explained why I was getting the burning wire smell (due to an erroneous install by the previous handyman), and replaced with the new outlet.

We had electrical issues that needed immediate attention after purchasing a new home. Francisco responded quickly to inquire about the issues, he was even able to come by the same day and resolve our issues that day! Francisco was amazing!! We were looking for a couple of estimates to get a new electrical line out in and he was busy but made time to see us with a day or two. He came at 7am to check out our home and did the work the following week by squeezing us in once we confirmed we could do it. He even gave us a a great referral for a plumber who we will now use movjng forward. Definitely recommend! His estimate was also hundreds lower than other businesses.
I had a great customer experience with this company. Francisco checked off all the boxes in terms of what I hope for in a home repair project:
1) Communicated on a timely basis (by phone and text).
2) Provided a very fair and reasonable estimate.
3) Showed up on time.
4) Willingly provided information about the repair to educate the home owner.

Frankie is great, very personable, rates are fair, he goes above and beyond to ensure client is satisfied. He explained a lot about old homes and their electrical systems and we felt completely confident with his work. He replaced an outlet, some switches, fixed a doorbell, and walked me through what it would entail to update a circuit box. He's fast too, and very clean. We'd definitely hire him again!!
A handyman changed wiring on a thermostat, which connected to 2 heaters. After that both heaters cannot be turn on by the thermostat. I have contacted many both HVAC and electrician, many of them just don't know what to do. Many of them just want me to schedule a service call of anywhere from $69 to $200. After I explain what happened then said they don't provided such service. ( I am glad that I did not have service calls, which could waste a lot of money just to know they cannot fix it.) Francisco, first told me that first we will need to troubleshoot the wiring as there are 6 pairs of wires come out the wall but only two pairs for thermostat. and that could be simple or complicated. I was gun shy about opening a blank check. Because he was working close to where we are, so he swing by to make sure it was wiring issue before working on it. It is wiring issue. There is no schematic, but he figure out correct wiring and get the system fixed. He is honest, responsive and take pride on what he does. I highly recommend him. If you are looking for a solution to your electrical issue, he is your man! If he can figure out correct wirings amount these unlabeled 6 pairs wiring without schematic, he should be able to troubleshoot most electrical issues. I am so glad I found him to do my task! Will definitely use him again.
On the night before Thanksgiving, my refrigerator/freezer suddenly died. Nothing I could do myself worked. Such bad timing! At 6:30pm, Francisco answered the phone and immediately agreed to come over after finishing his last appointment of the day. He arrived 45 minutes later. He was friendly, efficient, expert, and just plain lovely. I was incredibly grateful that it turned out to be an electrical issue, not a refrigerator issue, because appliance repair people are difficult! While he couldn't do the complete repair on the spot because it requires pulling out my built-in fridge, he was able to get it plugged in elsewhere. I feel so fortunate to have such a great new electrician!

Francisco is responsive, efficient and really solid. He's also a super nice guy, which is a plus. Some contractors are not interested in doing smaller jobs, but Francisco helped me out with some fixtures that were overdue to be fixed. He pointed out that the original fixture I chose would not align well and came back a second time (without charging me more) after I had purchased something that worked better. His work is tidy and completed well. I plan to hire him again for a larger future project. Thanks, Francisco!
Francisco provides quality service at a reasonable price. He installed a new dishwasher electrical outlet for me. He was very friendly and reliable for the appointment time scheduled. Our bathroom exhaust fan finally died and we had to get it replaced. Francisco and his team to the rescue! They were quick to schedule, arrived on time, provided a timely quote, and started working right away. They found a great replacement, and worked within a challenging cramped space to install the new fan. I wanted to replace a bathroom fan and separate ceiling light in a 50 year old townhouse. After leaving an email over the weekend Francisco contacted me first thing Monday morning. If I could give 10 stars I would! My mother had a wall of outlets randomly go out in her room. She had an electrican come out who couldn't find anything. I immediately called Frankie and he was out the next day! Found the issue and came right back to finish the job! He was so respectful and honest about the issues he discovered. I'd like to think he saved my mom's life as the wire was burning up behind the wall and the breaker never kicked! I need a replacement for a motion sensor that controlled the exterior security lights. I initially contacted them at 5 pm and by 6 pm the motion sensor was replaced. . Alameda Oakland Electrical is knowledgeable, experienced, professional, and just pleasant to work with. I needed a non-flaky knowledgeable electrician, and I think I found one in Alameda Oakland Electrical. I plan to use him to put a charging unit in my garage when I buy the electrical vehicle.

We did a lot of research to find a good, reliable and honest electrician - several hours of time spent reading reviews. There are very few with only 5 stars. We were lucky enough to find Francisco. He fit us into his very busy schedule to do some much needed electrical work in our 83 year old house. Francisco and his team worked all day on Saturday and they did a fabulous job. We couldn't be happier and we are hoping to have them come back and do some additional work before the end of the year. We highly recommend Alameda Oakland Electrical!
Francisco fixed loose wiring that caused several outlets in our house to stop working. He was very easy to schedule with, communicative about timing and what was going on with our wiring, solved the problem quickly (he even fixed another outlet unrelated to the current issue we were having), and charged a fair rate. I would highly recommend AOE, they were on time and Frankie explained the issues I had with my electrical wiring well. I was impressed with work ethic and how efficient he was in getting my house wiring in time and at a great price, thank you so much!
We hired Francisco to do some electrical work on a research project at UC Berkeley. He was recommended to us by a very reputable source. We called him up, and half an hour later he was onsite. He walked us through what we needed to do clearly and efficiently. His rate was competitive but reflective of his extremely professional and friendly, approachable attitude. The work itself was exceptionally professional and clean. He had the project done more than a week early. He's very responsive over text, which is great. Coming from a physics lab, this guy deserves an A+, and next time we have any work he'll be the first we call. Totally recommend! Thanks Frankie!

Currently in the process of opening our first brick and motor/casual restaurant/deli location. To be straight forward it's pretty refreshing to work with a company that actually cares about small businesses (and a huge plus being bay area raised/based). I contacted 7 electricians and got prices that were way over my budget and they were most likely trying to price gouge me. Honest and hard working companies are rare nowadays and Alameda Oakland Electrical is definitely one of them. Frankie squeezed my project late in the working day and finished it in a super professional manner with great attitude and quality of service. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would. I would recommend Alameda Oakland Electrical in a heart beat. Again big props to a company that understands your situation and treats you as a human being. Huge props.
