Jed and the Awesome Crew are highly skilled and experienced with their products and especially knowledgeable on how to properly complete a beautifully stained patio/floor to meet their customer's expectations. And they had quite a challenge with my job because they had to remove by grinding 5x and re-do the work by a horrible (local-licensed) contractor who did a disastrous job staining my patio and damaging my home.

Wouldn't use this company again

Owner Jed was a nice guy, worked with us on the cost of additional overlays, but we don't like the final product or condition our home was left in.  Dark spots all over the floor that look like stain dripped/pooled.  I understand staining brings out imperfections, but these look like leopard spots.  If more overlay was needed, let's have done that.  Other areas are barely stained.  The test area is now an obvious square in the floor, not blended.  We showed pictures of what we wanted and had to settle for something darker due to overlays, but the consistency of the color is not even close.  If we needed more grinding to get what we asked for, great.  If we needed more overlay or a whole new layer of concrete, great.

At the end, Jed sent a zoomed out picture for my approval that didn't show the spotting (so I guess the final approval is my fault, but he had already put the sealant down anyway).  He asked if we were planning on repainting (No).  They got stain alllll over our baseboards and walls.  We were told that doesn't usually happen.  Not a big deal had they resolved it.  I grabbed them the bucket of trim paint and they did a crap job of fixing it.  Didn't even address/inform me of the walls.  Stain was also spilt on our driveway.  Having been in an AirBnB for 2+ weeks with a baby 7 weeks out, we had no choice but to accept the job that was done and move back in.  Zero time to start over.

In the end, a splotchy stain job with bare spots that permanently looks like a dirty floor as opposed to the clean look we asked for.  If more grinding or finishing concrete was needed, we should have been offered that to get the desired result.  Maybe rolling instead of spraying, I don't know.  But it seems every other reviewer on here got the clean look we wanted except for us.  And all our baseboards and walls are trashed with a lackluster effort to resolve any of that.  Not a finished experience or an end result like anything else we've seen with his other clients or reviews.

Jed and his team did a fantastic job on my front and back patio. First they removed the 12 year old tile. Next they grind the concrete and finish it with a sealer. The concrete is over 60 years old and it looks great! The crew is prompt and hard working. Jed came every morning to check in with me and provided details on finishing the job. I searched for a long time to find the right company to do this job. Great customer service! No doubt the best in the business.

Jed and his team knocked it out of the park.  On time, on budget, and quality exceeded expectations.  He was highly communicative throughout the whole process, giving me several pricing options.  My job was not very big and he was still willing to help out.  Will use again in the future and recommend to others.

We couldn't be happier with our new stained concrete floors.  Jed and his crew were very professional and accommodating.  I wasn't sure exactly what colors I wanted when we started, they were very patiemt and made sure I saw samples before they started.

We did a complete remodel of a 1960 house and of course our plans included the floors. Our general contractor put us in touch with Jed and we are happy he did.

Luckily most of the house had been carpeted and the floor was in good shape. Jed came out, looked over everything and outlined the process. The floor was a colored concrete (brown) and we were originally thinking of leaving them that color. Jed took the time to show us different color samples and make a recommendation on what color he thought we should go with. We were still unsure so after they ground down the first layer, he did a couple color samples in the area we knew the fridge would go. We decided to go with Jed's recommendation and make the floors a little darker than the original color and it looks great. It was the right call for sure.

One area we were concerned about was the dining room, which had old linoleum squares laid on with thick black glue. Jed was upfront and told us their may be ghosting from the old tiles but his team did a great job and there is no sign of the old tiles at all. They also filled in all the cracks and holes left from carpet tacks, etc. in such a way that their appearance is minimal (and if anything adds a little historical character to the house).

We are very happy with the way our floors turned out and highly recommend Jed and his team.

We had a pretty basic concrete staining done on a brand new master bedroom addition to our home. There were no reviews of V Stained Concrete on Yelp (this is the first), so I wasn't sure whether I could trust them. But they were outstanding. The owner's name is Jed and he has a couple of guys who help him out. All of them are very nice and respectful of our privacy and property. Jed has a great personality; outgoing, nice to our pets.

One thing that I liked about Jed is that he always made his appointment and was punctual down to the minute. This was for the estimate, the 2 days of work, and a follow up appointment we had with him. That's pretty unheard of with home services people. I suspect his business is pretty new, but in this instance, it definitely worked in our favor. During the course of our room addition, we've had so many workers blow us off. Jed was not one of them. Yay!

The floors came out great and it was more inexpensive than pretty much any other floors we could have gotten ($1200 for about 350 square feet). Even though it was a brand new concrete floor, he roughed it up with a sander (day 1), then stained it, once with a dark gray and once with an ebony, then put two coats of polyurethane (matte finish) on it (day 2). The floors are dark and mottled, and I love them. Please make sure, though, that you know and like the way stained concrete looks. It's imperfect and unpredictable, so probably not for OCD types.

Another feature I loved about working with him is that he had his workers come over and do two separate 'test stains' on two different small areas of our concrete. This was so I could choose which one I wanted, cause I was vacillating between two different colors. He offered this; I didn't even have to ask. Then, once I picked the color, they sanded it off the floor and went to work.

All of that good stuff, and there's an even MORE impressive story to share. Even though Jed explained to me multiple times that tape and concrete do NOT mix (any kind of tape, even blue painter's tape, actually will leave an unsightly mark on the concrete), I neglected to pass that info onto my husband and two days after the floors dried, he taped some paper down so he could paint. It left big white marks when we pulled the tape up. I contacted Jed and asked what he'd charge to come fix it (I admitted it was FULLY my mistake). He wrote back and said, no charge; this one's on me. What a guy! I love this guy.

Absolutely nothing negative to say about V Stained Concrete. This review probably seems fishy, but cross-my-heart-hope-to-die that it's completely legit. He just did a fantastic job and I wanted him to have this review for future clients.

Price was good, work was great.  Didn't like coming home to finding a surprise giant leech pit dug into my yard for the neutralized chemicals to be poured into...

Was very impressed with their promptness and overall great work. They worked with us on each detail to ensure we knew what we were getting.  I plan on using them again in the near future for another large area.

My housekeeper poured vinegar all over my stained concrete floors which burned through the sealer and left terrible marks. I called Jed, and he came over two times to help me fix the issue. He figured it out and he even gave me the materials to fix it on my own. I offered money and he refused. Keep in mind,  that he didn't install the floors in the first place. I would recommend him anytime someone needs anything to do with stained concrete flooring.

V removed all of the flooring in my 1950's house, and polished and stained the concrete. Because the houses in my neighborhood were originally poured with colored concrete, I didn't have much choice on color options, but Jed helped me pick the one that would work best with what I had. Jed is the estimator and owner - a terrific guy, a Big Red football fan, and extremely responsive to his customers. He gave me lots of info beforehand, and got the job done in the time-frame he had originally given. I'm liking my new floors more every day, and am very glad I had them done. There was a minor problem with his crew about when they would be leaving one afternoon, but it was handled by Jed.
For those who are considering this flooring option, as another reviewer mentioned, it's not for the OCD crowd. My dining room apparently had 6 tile at some point in its history, and you can still see the outline of the mortar for those tiles in spite of the team grinding off almost half an inch of concrete. Jed had warned me about this possibility (called ghosting), and now that the furniture's back, it's not as obvious as it was when the room was empty. I've decided to consider it part of the charm of the house, and won't bother trying to disguise it, but it took me a few days to get used to it.

Jed and his crew at V-Stained Concrete are true professionals. He communicates easily and is really informed on the latest in different kinds of concrete staining products out there, including the eco-friendly 0 VOC options.  He does creative, durable, beautiful work and I highly recommend him!

Jed and his team were exceptionally responsive as well as consultative. When Jed wasn't able to answer my call, he always called me back shortly thereafter. Stained concrete was new to us but we didn't know exactly what to expect. Jed was patient and understanding of our newness to the flooring experience. The finished product is wonderful and  we absolutely love the work his team did. They showed up when they said they would. I can't say how valuable the consultative nature of Jed's practice is when before, during and after the flooring. Thanks!

I contacted V concrete staining after searching for a company who could removed the chipped painted concrete walkway to our front door. Jed was able to come to the home the day I phoned for an assessment and discussion on cost he even had a suggestion which would have jeopardized him having the job. Excellent communication, professional and punctual employees. Extremely pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend Jed.

We were moving to a new house and working under a tight time frame to get the floors done before we moved in. I called Jed just a few weeks prior to when we needed to start the work and even though he was very busy at the time, he made sure to make time and get our floors to fit in his schedule. He was always very prompt, he communicates well and his employees were very professional and considerate. Jed wants to make sure that the customer is happy and won't stop until that happens. We had some unexpected issues come up with the floors he had to work with and he effectively problem solved and did the job well. We would recommend him without reservation.
