Tile Guy

Dave came out to give me a quote to fix a couple tiles in my living room. Price was fair, end result was excellent. I'll be using these guys for all my tiling needs going forward.

Dave and his crew performed a shower surround and bathroom floor install on my home. It's been about 2-3 weeks since the install. The tile installation, both on the shower surround and floor, is probably some of the poorest quality craftsmanship I have ever seen in tile work. I had my complete flooring, guest bath, and fireplace performed by another tile contractor and they performed a quality job, and so I am very familiar with what a quality tile install should look like. The pictures below speak for themselves. The shower tile is very uneven throughout with lips on every tile piece, some tile was installed upside down, there are tiles without grout, and some tiles with so much grout to the point the grout covers the entire tile piece. On one area near the ceiling, they used about an inch of grout to fill the space instead of cutting another tile piece. The flooring tile is very uneven, the grout is cracking, and there is one tile that is cracked and it looks like they intended to hide and "glue" it back together with mortar instead of letting me know it cracked and that we will need a new tile piece. I am extremely dissatisfied. I hardly write reviews, but this is worth sharing so that others can avoid my mistake.

Dave gave me a good quote for my backsplash installation.  We purchased tile and grout and Dave and his team installed and did a great job, very professional and great cleanup. I would recommend this company for tile work. I am in Phoenix AZ, Don't know why yelp has me in a different location.

Carl was quick to respond to our inquiry, but he was booked out a few months. It's easy to see why! He did a great job installing our kitchen backsplash. It is a product with a lot of variability in color, and he blended it seamlessly. He finished the job in a day and left my kitchen clean. The price was also reasonable.

A few weeks later, I had a tile issue with an install elsewhere in my house (different contractor) and he was quick to give me his thoughts on how to remedy the situation (all at no charge).  Carl is a professional, and I'll be calling him back to replace the tile when we're ready to update our guest bathroom!

Carl is awesome, professional from start to finish. He installed my kitchen backsplash and it turned out really beautiful. I love it! It was more complex because of wrapping around the window and cabinets and he was able to do the job in 1.5 days! Fair pricing, too. I'm looking to do my stairs next (replacing carpet with tile) and I'll definitely hire Carl again!

We needed someone to tear out and reinstall new tile in our guest bathroom, after we were finished with a major plumbing repair.

After reaching out to Carl on Yelp, he responded immediately, gave a very fair quote, and was able to get started quickly due to a last minute cancellation on his schedule. He finished in one day and we love how it all turned out. I'd highly recommend Carl for any tile work that you may need; he's prompt, professional, and has great work quality!

Carl was awesome! Did a great job removing previous backsplash and installing new. Even had to get creative when we realized we just barely had enough hexagon tiles. 100% recommend!!

Carl is fantastic!!! He is very detailed and exhibits true craftsmanship. He completely remodeled our master ensuite shower for us and it's gorgeous. Fast, clean, and great price. We'll definitely use him time and again for our tile and flooring needs.

Carl completed our kitchen backsplash a few weeks ago. I found him here on Yelp. He gave me a quote quickly after I sent him some photos and measurements. We used large glass tile and it came out beautifully. He was great to work with and did an excellent job at an affordable price. I would recommend him 100%. When we are ready to do the tiling in our master bathroom, I will call him again!

Do not hire this company. The owner of the tile guy LLC not honest upfront with his labor or how he manages his work. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate of your home. He asked for more money and rushed a job! Don't HIRE, once we looked up further reviews and check his credentials out- he wasn't legit. You'll be sorry you did. :(
This is not an employee as Tile guy Carl is stating on review! If he works alone why say that in his defense.,, Hmm? He does work with other people he allows in your home if he can't finish the job on time as he has extra curricular activities that are a priority. He won't work on the weekends even if he's late in his schedule. I have photos of employees and videos that worked with him. I have photos of the awful work done, I have text and emails to provide and will post on here or send to yelp co. to check references. I'm just looking out for those who don't want to go through the headache and repaying someone else later to do the job right! Tile guy LLC also doesn't have a ROC # to do other jobs he states. Don't fall for the financing part of it either. He needs to stick to one trade or one job and not take advantage of honest people who are willing to hire him.

We highly recommend Carl for your tile and flooring projects; he was very professional, thorough, knowledgeable and affordable. Our outside fountain was leaking and ugly looking, but Carl did an amazing job and now looks like a million bucks, we have received many compliments. If you want a job well done, Carl at the Tile Guy is your best option.

Carl was super helpful and informative during the whole process, even answering my questions during the demolition process I was doing myself. The tile looks great!

He did a fantastic job and was reasonably priced. He showed up on time and gave us recommendation for some parts we needed for the job and where to puchase them.  We love our new tile floor on our Covered Patio Living Room.

So SO happy with our backsplash. Carl was fast, efficient, and a perfectionist. He also had very fair pricing. I would highly recommend.

All I can say is professional the whole way through!! Carl saved me when another person didn't show up to do my job. He was able to fit in my tile job last min and it came out beautiful. He was so great to deal with. The new tile floor in my salon looks amazing. Honest guy and great work. I totally recommend him!!!

Carl did an awesome job on our new tile for our Covered Patio/ Outdoor Living Room. He communicated with us at all times and texted me when he was running a few minutes late. His price he quoted was the price I paid. We needed a special item to transition the tile from the Covered Patio to the French Drain that butted up to the flooring. He texted me the correct part I needed and where I could purchase it. Our job was about 360 sf and he finished in about a day and a half. He cleaned up before he left as if he was never there, leaving our new flooring looking great. Full disclosure: I'm a retired Real Estate Appraiser and Realtor and I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

I found Carl through Yelp, 10/10 would hire Carl again for any tile work and have already recommended him to friends. I had a smaller tile job I needed done and most places I called wouldn't even do it because it was less than their minimum. Carl happened to have an opening and came out that week, and was very reasonably priced. The tile looks great and he worked quickly and professionally.

We were so happy to work with Carl on our shower tile install.  We had done a portion of the work ourselves, and Carl was perfectly willing to finish the job for a fair price. He was excellent, start to finish; he responded quickly to our request for a quote, showed up on time, and produced flawless work. He was flexible when we didn't order enough trim and has the experience and skill to overcome all the little issues that come up in this kind of project. Highly recommended!
