Solar Topps is a family-owned and operated solar company based in Phoenix, Arizona. When we first opened our doors in 2009, it was so that we could ensure that each and every Arizonan was getting the best value possible when it came to solar, and that means saving from the start. We have focused our efforts on doing everything in-house. By having our own engineers and install crews, we are able to make sure that everything is designed and installed to our exacting standards. We provide our team with fully equipped trucks and tools they need in order to get the job done right, the first time. This reduced need to revisit a site multiple times means we do not have high service costs. Our Technical Director, Neal began pursuing electrical engineering in the 1980's. Neal's focus was on Program Logic Control, DC and AC drive, Motor Control, Electrical Building Construction, and Electrical Power Distribution. Certified by the North American Board of Energy Practitioners (NABCEP), Neal has great experience in developing cutting-edge energy and financial analytical software, programs and tools specifically for the solar industry.

We had to have our solar panels removed and reinstalled in order to do a roof replacement. Mario and his crew were involved in the re-installation. They needed to replace the inverters for 37 panels. They did a very professional job, taking care of all details no matter how small. Mario was very conscientious, making sure we were totally satisfied with the job before they left. He went out of his way to make sure everything was completed satisfactorily.

I called for a warranty work on the bird screen to be replace and this is the second time I had to get it replace. The first time they came out they didn't have the same screen so they just put whatever screen they had available with them in the truck. Now I have over 10 birds on my roof below my panels and their laying eggs up there. When I called for them to come out they said it will take two weeks. It doesn't make sense how they can't take care of their customers. If your in the Goodyear area they can't come see you for weeks. Then if you can't serve us when something need to be fix right away then why serve the Goodyear area? They told me they can't come out sooner. Everyday I can hear the birds on the roof moving around and ripping up the screens.
I looked up my bills since I got solar along with how much I pay a month to the solar company and it's more than what I was paying before the solar was installed. I'm going to get a lawyer involved and 3TV news. The lack of service they provide is BS. No one still called me to let me know when my bird screens will be replaced and it's been a week already.
Solar tops was a energy sage listing for my area and as such I requested a quote. From that point forward the level of honesty, integrity, guidance through the process install and follow up were and continue to be exemplary. They offered the type of modular solar product we were wanting for our home and would recommend them to anyone looking to install solar.
Solar topps really getting into the natural side of things, not sure I'd want my moving bill board sitting outside a weed shop. Too funny !!

Holy Crap!
My partner made the huuuge mistake of putting down my name and cell phone number while checking out the cost of solar panels online (actually, no mistake: he was mad at me) and these people have been spamming my voice mail for SEVEN WEEKS, despite my calling and telling them to stop (isn't this a violation of the law?). Think I'm being dramatic? How does 51 calls in 49 days sound to you? Are we really so desperate for business, that we can't figure out after almost two months of harassing "potential" customers that they're not interested if they won't call back (and leave messages for you to stop calling?).
Solar Topps is a perfect example of why I leave my cell phone off all day and only check it for messages in the morning and when I go to sleep. If I were as tied to my phone as most people were, I would've gotten a lawyer and sued them by now.

I want to give Solar Topps a big shout out for their help with my solar system, which they installed over 11 years ago. It has been trouble-free until now. After I received a power bill ten times higher than the normal amount I realized that my solar system must have stopped working weeks ago. I contacted Solar Topps about the problem. Of course, the system is long, long out of warranty. They could have charged me $200 for a service call, but instead hooked me up on the phone with a tech from the inverter manufacturer who guided me through making a simple parameter change in my PV inverter that solved the problem and got the system back to normal operation. That is outstanding customer service! Thank you Solar Topps!
We had the best experience with Solar Topps and the people who installed our system on our home. We love A.J. Saferstein very knowledgeable representative and is very honest to us and wouldn't sell you a system that you wouldn't benefit from. The best is the savings and would recommend this company over anyone.

Geoff who was our solar consultant did an awesome job explaining everything to us and what system would be best. We love our solar. Thank you team!
My Invertor went bad and Solar Topps called me the next day and to my surprise their tech came in and replaced the Invertor the same day.
I am very pleased with their service. 5 star rating for technical and customer service offered by Solar Topps.
We found out that our inverter stopped working when we received a giant electricity bill. We then found out that the online monitoring system had stopped updating since May 2019. We immediately called Solar Topps for service and asked about why no alert was sent to us. The representative Victoria said "because they have thousands of customers now so they are not able to monitor actively." I thought the whole sales pitch was about customer service! Technician was supposed to come out today and my husband and I both took time off from work for this. After a day of waiting, NO SHOW and no one called us. Called the front desk and the lady said there was a delay and the tech would not be able to come today. I understand delay. But someone should have called us to reschedule. The front desk said she would do her best to have customer service (i.e. Victoria) to call us back but also emphasized that they close at 4pm. It is 3:51 now and the phone is not ringing. I will update everyone once I hear back from Solar Topps.
Update: No customer service called us back and the office stopped picking up phone at 3:58pm. A technician reached out to us at 4:01pm and claimed that our appointment is scheduled for a different date on his calendar. He offered us different time slots to pick from since we again needs to take time off from work. I hope he does show up tomorrow and anyone from Sollar Topps will call us back in the future to explain the company's inability to "actively" monitor the system.
I feel this business is not very truthful. Sales person Steve came out to our home. He gave us his pitch and we fell for it and we also chose this company because of the good online reviews and "A" rating with Better Business Bureau.
We signed up and got our installation 3 months later. Steve said Solar Topps would provide bird barrier after install. Bird barrier is one of the main reasons we chose this company. Two months later after solar panel install, no bird barrier. Couple calls to the company regarding it and everyone we talked to "beats around the bush" about it. Emailed Steve about bird barrier but No Response. On another note, we have home surveillance cameras outside our home and 3 days of install, workers were not acting professional. They were shoving the ladder and trashcans at each other and also trying to hit each other with card board boxes. Seeing the horse play was very disappointing. Unfortunately, they got our business and it seems we are nothing to them now. As far as the new solar panel performance, we are still paying high bill to APS on top of the solar loan. I would not recommend Solar Topps to family or friends or anyone because they did not come through with what they said.
We had a very positive experience with Solar Topps from their initial sales person to the final installers. They were responsive throughout the process to our questions and concerns. Getting solar installed is a long process involving city approval for the design, coordination at installation between Solar Topps, APS, and city inspectors, then comes final inspections from the city and APS. The Solar Topps staff was very helpful in keeping us informed of the timeline each step of the way. Our installers were conscientious and professional. The solar system is working just as it was outlined in our initial sales meeting. Because of their product, their follow through, and their knowledge and professionalism, we highly recommend Solar Topps.
First class business. From the initial sales/information meeting to the last solar panel being mounted, this business was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and top shelf in every category.
They don't over-sell or up-sell you. They review your monthly electrical usage and recommend the number of panels based on that. I highly recommend this business.

SOLAR TOPPS **** SOLAR TOPS **** this company is the bomb! the customer service is top notch. they are like an old fashioned ,make the customer believe again in humanity, kind of company. if you use them, you will not be dissappointed. you will be like me,when you see their commercial,you will smile,just knowing you are a part of something good!!!
