The short version,
Yes, I would recommend them
Yes, I would use them again, if I needed them.
Yes, I would user the people they recommend.
If you've read my reviews, I don't give fives. I will in this case.
I had rain in my garage, because a hired service did not perform the work they were hired to do correctly. Causing the toilet above the garage to leak through into the garage, through all the insulation, leaked into the carpet on the second floor. Big disaster to keep the story short.
When I called to file a claim, my insurance company referred me to ServPro. I don't have disasters that require removing drywall, insulation, carpet, baseboards, linoleum and mitigating any further damage. One good thing, the water flowing from the toilet upstairs was still flowing, so there wasn't a big mold risk, because the water was fresh.
We were in the process of moving, and the home was vacant at the time, so when the handy man with 35 years of plumbing experience, replaced the bolts and valve in the toilet, he apparently didn't notice that the valve did not shut off and he forgot to actually tighten the tank to the bowl. ( I'd agonized about doing the job myself, and didn't want to run the risk of cracking the tank while removing the rusty bolts)
I drove into the garage, four days later, intending to mow the yard, only to discover my garage was raining. Once I figured that, rain in the garage wasn't a good thing. I decided the best thing to do would be to stop the source. I turned off the water to the house, then took a deep breath and called my insurance company, thankfully I'd just bought a commercial policy. That was about 7:30am on a Friday morning last February. By 9:30am, the very same day, two mitigation technicians arrived!
They were extremely professional, they calmed me down, got right to work, tearing up my house. Paul, the project manager came later to get the paperwork started, explained the process, and recommended a plumber to correct the problem.
It's hard to say enough about the technicians, they were very efficient, by 3:30pm, all the wet material was removed, 20 blowers and a dehumidifier were set up. (I never saw them again, but wast to express my gratitude), certainly this is not a job you can do yourself, with a shop back and paint. USE A PROFESSIONAL. I am so glad I did.
A week later, the house was dry enough, for repairs. Insulation between the garage and upstairs bedroom, paint the entire garage, paint, linoleum and carpet, nearly everything on the second floor. According to the insurance adjuster! Wow, the bad work will eventually cost more than $15,000.00! Insurance, is wonderful.
This particular Servpro was able to do the repairs, also although it's a different division. So this second division, is just as wonderful, (there I go, using Wonderful, while referring to a contractor), how does that happen, I know people in other parts of the valley, who are contenting with contractors for more than six months. OUCH, that's disruption.
ServPro of NW Phoenix gave me the quote, did the work along with their subcontractors, in an expedient manner, sometimes working weekends, the work was not Rushed and was high quality, they did very very well, even though I had to pull in the completion date by two weeks. They did it. A lot of work! Paul, and all the office staff were great, I enjoyed working with Vicktoria, who I spent at least an hour face to face with and Amanda too. I've sent my approval to the insurance company, and will wait for the payment from the insurance company.
I recommend this company. This wasn't a situation that I wanted to be in, but they made it much better and less stressful than it might have been.
