I initially called Vinny with a desperate plea to talk through some options for a very challenging floor repair and replacement job. Without any expectation, he helped me source the material for the job (which was very difficult to find), and then came back to give a fair estimate as well for the work.

His crew came and finished in a matter of hours! I would recommend Vinny and his folks as a great option if you are looking for any services they provide.

This company is second to none! Not only did Vinny provide superior friendly service but unbelievable value. I could not ask for a better expert in the world of flooring. The work was done efficiently and professionally. Vinny communicates all the steps involved so there are no surprises. Our home is over 100 years old and after Vinny and the crew replaced the floor, we have no more dips, wobbles, or cave ins. It's like a new house!  Vinny and his crew did an amazing job laying new hardwood flooring in our home.  We did not have a subfloor, so our existing floor sagged and bent as you walked on it, so we laid the new floor over the top, using the existing floor as a subfloor.  It turned out perfect (and now we have a solid floor), and as you can see in the photos there was a lot of difficult cut work around a floor grate (access to the crawlspace) and a fireplace which is at an angle.

They completed all the work (about 800 square feet with LOTS of doorways and small rooms) in just three full days, kept the work area clean as they went (since we were still living in it), and cleaned up completely each evening.

HIGHLY recommended.  I was fortunate enough that my neighbor used Vinny as well so I could see his work prior, so I tried to include some decent photos here for anyone else.

I will also say that we did not know much about wood flooring when we started, so Vinny also helped us figure the best way to go (engineered or hardwood, what size slats, etc), which made us feel a lot better about the decisions we had to make.

Vinny and his install crew are top notch, they installed the engineered hardwood floors in my house in only a few days and did a meticulous job prepping the slab and sub floor. They do not cut corners and have the knowledge to handle unusual situations. These are the guys to hire, they are affordable, honest, and skilled. My husband and I recently did a bit of home remodeling. After our general contractor didn't do a great job on the drywall, we decided to look for someone else to install our new wood floors. We called Royal Wood and Vinny was prompt in coming out to get us a quote within a day, especially considering it was the week after Thanksgiving.

Vinny was super knowledgeable about all things wood flooring, and also gave us great recommendations for how to care for the wood post-install, from what items to buy to protect our wood from our furniture to the best cleaning methods,

Not only was Vinny cheaper than what our GC quoted us, I guarantee he did a way better job than our GC would have done. The attention to detail was phenomenal. He even noticed that Lumber Liquidators sent us 15 of the wrong boxes. His team did such a great job with the install, that we were also able to save the overage we bought for mistakes, which saved us about $1,000 in being able to return it to Lumber Liquidators.

From start to finish, the whole house (about 1600 sq ft) only took Monday-Friday to finish, and it looks amazing. I would definitely recommend Royal Wood for all your wood flooring needs!

Vinny and his team do amazing work.  They have completed several jobs for me, first removing carpeting and installing new hardwood in a large room, then completely refinishing 1250 square feet of hardwood (removing top layers, filling, sanding, staining and finishing) and also some minor repair work.  The guys on the crew work hard and get the work done fast.

I had a fantastic experience with Royal Wood Flooring!!!  I was greatly relieved when I found Vinny, the owner of Royal Wood Flooring.  I needed over 500 square feet of wood flooring removed so we could put down carpet.  The wood flooring was up against a tile floor.  Four flooring companies told me it couldn't be done because it was up against tile and it would certainly crack and chip.  I called Vinny and he came out to take measurements and look at the floor.  He took time to examine the floor carefully and told me they could do it.  He explained the process, the tools they use and how long it would take.  I told him that I had anxiety about the job--since so many others said it couldn't be done. But, he took time to talk to me and explain the years of experience they bring to the process.  He was professional and sent me an estimate that was very fair.  His crew were also professional and careful removing the floor.  My God!  The tile is perfect--there are no cracks or chips anywhere!    If you need any job that involves the removal of wood flooring, you can't do better than Royal Wood Flooring!  Thank you Vinny!!

Thank you to all who have written a review because you helped me find an A+ team.  Vinny came on time and emailed me an estimate within a day.  We got put on their work schedule.  Vinny kept in regular communication about their schedule and we needed to move our time out a couple of times.  I was good with that because I recognize that construction work doesn't always follow a set schedule.  Once the team started on my house, they finished on time, within 2 days for one job and in one day on another job.  Overall, a great experience.

I am satisfied with the job that Royal Wood Flooring did with installing laminate flooring in 3 bedrooms and baseboards. The two man crew were professional and clean. Their pricing is competitive as well. Credit card was not accepted so I was disappointed in losing the rewards points but I saved more money on the contract price than i lost in rewards points. The owner Vinny was a pleasure to speak with over the phone (could do better responding to texts) but overall he provided great customer service. Would do business with again.

I contacted Vinny about repairing and refinishing the original wood floors in our 1930's office.  The floors hadn't had anything done for at least 13 years and suffered some termite damage.  He responded immediately and was able to get me a quote within 2 days of initial contact.  He was able to schedule the work around our schedule and do the work on a 3 day weekend so we wouldn't have to close our business.  The repairs are flawless and the refinishing work is so beautiful that I'm having a hard time letting anyone walk on it!  I would absolutely recommend Vinny and his team for any wood floor needs you may have!

Vinny did a great job installing my new luxury vinyl plank flooring. I particularly appreciated his great communication and availability to talk whenever I called since I had him do this from out of state. Love these guys! Vinny was so warm and friendly on our first meeting and was careful to explain the entire process before we made any significant decisions. He was very honest about things that would/would not work in our historic home and always had an answer for all of our questions. Our floors turned out great! It was a great experience from start to finish.

I witnessed an employee of this company threaten my neighbor after she asked him if he was dumping commercial waste into our private residential dumpster. His work van had not been seen at the complex previously, doing any sort of work. He began screaming at her and then yelled that he was going to "get her". He then threatened her vehicle and property. She tried to explain to the man that there has been a lot of illegal dumping and residents were told to keep an eye out, so she was just asking. He replied with a stream of obscenities and said "just wait, you will find out."

My neighbor seemed unfazed by his actions, but I am concerned. I contacted the office number on the van and was told that he would be called into the office and it would be taken care of. I was later contacted by Royal Wood and told that the man had been suspended for a week. Three days later, the same man in the same company van was back at the condo complex. Clearly the representative/manager I spoke to lied in an attempt to placate me.

Royal Wood Flooring lacks integrity in their hiring practices and in dealing with the public. Any business that would knowingly employ a man that threatens women with physical violence, while driving their vehicle and representing their brand, is not a business to be trusted. You have been warned.

I read all the reviews and looked forward to working with Royal Wood Flooring company.  I called and was told to call another person for a quote.  Once I called the other person no answered saying Royal Wood Flooring.  And when we set a day for them to come out for a consult  I  was told to text my address to the CELL PHONE number that I called.  The day before the meeting I got a text saying he will try and make it!  Which I questioned!  The next day an hour before meeting time I got another text saying that he could not make it he is sick.

This has been one of the most unprofessional experiences that I have ever had.  No one answered the phone in a professional way.  It may just be that I am old school (in my 30's) and expect that when doing business that we make contact by phone calls not text messages like teenagers.

I recently had Royal Wood Flooring do a 2200 sq foot install in my new house. To be honest, I was super nervous. I've had floors installed from one of the big companies before, and they were great, and I paid a hefty sum for them. Right off the bat, Vinnie made me feel reassured about the competence of his company and installers. He was really nice and gave me a quote that beat out EVERY single competitor by thousands of dollars. Once again, I got nervous. I ordered wood floors online, after talking to Vinnie about the square footage and underlayment, etc. that I needed. My floors came in, and Royal Wood was immediate in their response to my scheduling request. The installers showed up EARLY! Javier was such a good installer, he literally looked at every piece of flooring and found any with marks or finish defects (it was from an online site and I paid $2.40/sq ft so I was expecting this) and he set them aside. I ended up using these in closets, and thanks to his keen eye and impeccable attention to detail, I literally ended this job with 200 extra sq foot of flooring! Way more than enough to also do my bathrooms. The guys installed baseboards, worked with the trim pieces I had (they ended up warped and they still made it work), and were very punctual and respectful of my house during the install. I could not be happier and I could not recommend this company more highly. Thank you Vinnie for setting my mind at ease, making this process as stress free as possible, and most of all, for a breathtakingly beautiful installation.

I would like to recommend Royal Wood Flooring if you are considering obtaining an estimate for the finishing or repairing of your hardwood floors. I called them based on an ad I saw in my neighborhood paper. When Vinny came this morning, he had an opportunity to give me quotes on refinishing one room and making repairs in another room. Instead, after inspecting the floors, he told me that he would recommend not doing either. I was very impressed with his honesty as he could have easily taken advantage of the fact that I was ready and willing to have the work done. I admire such honesty and if I ever need new hardwood flooring installed or old hardwood repaired or refinished, he will be my first call. Highly recommend!

We love Royal! If you are looking for a professional company to install your hardwood, engineered, or laminate flooring, you really should give "Royal Wood Flooring" a call - (602) 446-2613. My wife and I spent several weeks interviewing various flooring companies, researching, getting quotes, advice, etc., and really we had no complaints with any of the companies we talked to. That said, we had two important factors to consider: this would be a small job (one bedroom) and we were on a strict budget. A lot of the bigger name companies (BTW, all had great reviews) just didn't want to spend much time with us because ours was such a small job. While I do understand that they have to make money, we also had to stay within our limits, and after several weeks that was turning out to be difficult, to say the least.  We finally contacted Royal and once I talked to Vinny I knew immediately he was our guy. Vinny understood exactly what we were wanting and we were able to come to an agreement on price that was significantly less than any of the other quotes we had received (and best of all within our budget!).

The day the Royal crew arrived, I spoke with John (lead foreman) about what we could expect. John was courteous and very knowledgeable and listened carefully to all of our concerns. Even when we ran into problems with the floor (the concrete had a large crack and couldn't be leveled as we had hoped) he offered us several options and took the time to clearly explain his reasoning. As it turned out there were multiple problems with the floor we hadn't anticipated and we ultimately had to change our original plans and go to a plan B... But the bottom line is that when the job was finished we had the most beautiful, professionally installed floor we could have hoped for. They literally exceeded all our expectations. Every detail was perfect and even their cleanup was immaculate.

Royal does business the "old school" way - that is to say, you can trust Vinny to stand behind his work and his people. We have a couple of other rooms we want to install new flooring in and I am going to use Royal for both of them. After you're done looking around and getting bids from other companies, I highly recommend talking to Vinny at Royal before making your final decision, whether it's one room or an entire house!

Called and asked for a quote to sand and refinish. Asked him to bring color samples. He said he would show us samples when he had a signed contract and a deposit. I questioned why I couldn't see color samples prior to signing a contract and giving him money. He replied if I didn't like that then his company was not the one for me. WOW, unbelievable!

We had a truly fantastic experience with Royal Wood Flooring. Vinny may be the most customer-oriented person I've ever hired for a home improvement project. His team installed about 1000 square feet of engineered hardwood flooring at our 1940's house and the finished product looks amazing. He charged much less than some of the other bids we got and his team finished twice as fast. After about two weeks, the wood planks warped in one part of the house and Vinny sent a team back to shore it up for us - free of charge. Can't recommend them highly enough!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Vinny and his team from Royal Wood Flooring. Our original install was in October of last year. We have an older home built in 1978 and it was a challenging job to say the least. Vinny and his installation team did a great job and really paid attention to the details. A few months ago we learned we had a termite problem and in order to treat the problem properly we needed to drill through the new floor to reach the concrete slab. Last week we had a water leak during a bathroom remodel and the floors in the hallway were destroyed. We called Vinny desperate for help. Vinny came and surveyed our situation. One of his guys showed up a few days later and reinstalled the hallway floor, and removed and reinstalled the drilled pieces at no additional charge! You can't beat great customer service.

  -After the 2nd day my wife discovered one board that was mal-formed and sticking up ever so slightly in the middle of the floor. I brought it to Adrian's attention and he quickly fixed it even though it meant pulling the trim off again and taking up 50 sqft. of flooring to get to that one goofy board. No groaning, moaning or trying to make excuses, he simply said "No Problem sir, I will fix it" and he did.
3. Adrian is a true artist with the precise cuts and detailed work he does.

5.  I got two quotes on the job and Vinny came in roughly 800 below the original quote. While that's impressive it's even more impressive when considering we changed the scope of the job by adding 150 sqft. of tile demo and additional flooring installation for Vinny's quote. Some contractors will say you have to pay for quality and they charge top-dollar. I can tell you that you will get top quality work from these guys for a fair medium price.

NOTE: When working with any contractor make sure you get in writing anything that will be expected of you for the job. I had a small misunderstanding with a piece of the job (stair risers) and while Vinny apologized, the misunderstanding was totally on my end. Everything worked out but, this is a must to make sure your job goes smooth and your expectations are correct.

We decided that it was time to finish off our bedrooms with laminate flooring to match the rest of our house, so our first stop was actually a Home Depot in Mesa.  Home Depot had offered a $1.00 per SF installation deal, which sounded fantastic.  However, it turned out to be a bait and switch scam, and their price came in outrageously high after they overbuilt the estimate by approximately 100%!!!  
Then I found Royal Wood Flooring on backpage.com, and spoke to Vinny the owner.  He visited our house within a day or two to measure the floors, and his price came in super reasonable.   We purchased all of the materials for the project at The Floor Store in Mesa, and had them delivered to our house.  A week later, Vinny and his crew arrived to install the new flooring, and all I can say is "WOW",  they simply did a fantastic job.  Vinny's crew arrived on time, and finished the flooring install the same day!  Vinny is a very honest and dependable contractor, and his knowledge and integrity were evident from the start.  The total cost of our project ended up being less than half of what Home Depot had originally estimated!!  I would not hesitate to use this company again, and will highly recommend Vinny and his friendly crew to my family and friends!!

Overall it was a fantastic job done on my laminate wood floor install. Their cuts were spectacular and they finished my 800 sqft job in 8 hours. After cleaning the floor when they left I did notice a chip in my wood which looked like they filled in and tried to cover with stain. Probably an accident. None the less, I'd recommend these guys for any wood job needed done in your home.

I live in a historic home and have gorgeous hardwoods that are original to the home. After a recent remodel which included the removal of an interior chimney left parts of our new hallway woodless. We did our homework and called on two companies that came highly recommended in our community for two estimates. We decided to go with Royal Wood Flooring and we couldn't be more happy with our choice! Not only did they show up when they said they would they also completed the job when they said they would! The work was excellent and I am very proud of my wood flooring. Feathering wood is defiantly an art and not something just anyone can do, my once woodless parts of flooring look now like they have always been there. We highly recommend them and after you use them you will know why!

Vinny and his crew were excellent.  They installed laminate wood floors at my retail store, Blaze Tobacco & Gifts and they turned out great.  Vinny delivered as promised, was punctual for every aspect.  They were accommodating to might tight deadlines, as I only wanted my business closed for 1 day.  They arrived first thing in the morning, did a great job and were done by 4:00 for us to restock our store.  Feel free to stop by and see their work.  Our business is located at 1720 W. I had these guys install my floors about a year ago. The wood started warping. The supplier said it was the installer, not enough space for and expansion gap. I contacted Vinny but he didn't show up. Poor customer service.

Vinny and his team were excellent to work with.  They refinished about 4000ft of original flooring from the 1920's and put in about 600ft of new flooring that blends in perfectly.  The team were all friendly and worked very cleanly and nicely in conduction with the other crews on site for our renovation.  Pricing was very fair and the overall experience was great.

I read all the reviews and was excited about having Royal Wood Flooring remove my kitchen's damaged hardwood floors and install new floors.  Vinny and his crew arrived.  I had ordered my flooring.  First off, no glue!  An installer with no glue - and I was never advised I needed to buy glue.   So i purchased the glue which now put me close to $400.00 over the cost Vinny quoted me. When I returned home from work I was horrified and sick to my stomach.  There were holes in my walls, a piece of wall board that was actually bent. I could not believe what I was seeing.  There were black fingerprints/hand smudges on the walls, glue of some sort on my newly installed concrete counters, leaving a permanent stain, glue smudges on my refrigerator and kitchen door which do not completely come off. There were areas where the flooring did not meet the walls, leaving a gap between the baseboard and the floor big enough for water to leak into. There was damage to my french doors that was not there prior - the lock was damaged, did not work. A kitchen window was left wide open, anyone could have climbed in and robbed me.  My dogs were shut out of the house.  I realize it wasn't Royal Wood Flooring's job to watch my dogs, but the doors were open while they were working.  One area where the wall board was bent (not sure how they did this) resulted in needing to cut the wallboard, and repair it.This required putting in new wallboard and plastering to match the rest of the walls. Half of the kitchen needed to be repainted.  I am still trying to remove the stains that were left.

I called Vinny and told him what my kitchen looked like. I also emailed him pictures of my kitchen.  I made it very clear that I did not want his crew back in my home.   I have hired a contractor to repair the damage.  The process has taken close to three weeks as the contractor is fitting my needs in between other committments he had.  The above repairs have been costly.  Believe me I would rather be happy about my kitchen than writing this review.  The condition Royal Wood Flooring left my kitchen in has cost me financially, physically, and emotionally.  Such a disappointment -- I hope this never happens to anyone else.
