Our sink backed up into the laundry room and we needed service on Christmas Eve. We were so happy Roto-Rooter was able to come out and fix the problem first thing the next day - Christmas Eve!

Better yet, Mason, our technician, was so great. He was knowledgeable and in good spirits for someone who had to work on Christmas Eve. I recommend Roto-Rooter, especially if you need quick service.

The price was astronomical for the service provided.  The total was $804.99.  The toilet was flooding into the tub, with the cause being root intrusion.  The only reason I accepted was because it was my only day off in the foreseeable future, and I had no time to search around for prices.

After they cleared the clog, they had the gall to try to sell me a clean-out installation for almost $6k, to which I scoffed at.

No show for 2 days in a row. We waited around, and even changed our schedule to accommodate  the appointment. Dispatch would make it sound hopefully they we going to show up. Use a different company if you actual want someone to show up.

So after the initial visit to clear the blockage, I was scheduled for a Hydro-jet appointment. I was shown a video of the inside of the drain line and even though the blockage had been cleared, it could be see that the pipe was still restricted with fat. The Hydro-Jet pressure washes the pipe from the inside. Joe was dispatched. This guy has been with Roto-Rooter for decades! He was professional, competent and warm. He showed me the inside of the pipe before and after the pressure wash. Joe is a very centered guy who was a joy to chat with. I have no doubt that his work the best. I was pleasantly surprised that such a large, well established company was was still so customer focused. Nice work Roto-Rooter!

I purchased a water heater from Roto rooter one year ago. I was in shock when they gave me the bill, for a water heater they charged me $2,350 dollars!!!!!!! This unit started having water leaks since day one!!! I reported the problem, they sent a technician but they refused to change the unit. I kept having water leaks, so knowing that I had a supposed 6 year guarantee I called to get the unit replaced.
The technicians kept scheduling for later because of the weekend, or because of the holidays....excuses. I kept calling and finally 3 technicians show up and replaced the heater! But with another big bill!!!!! So I ended paying for the second unit on full!!! The guarantee is a scam and everything was a scam and a TERRIBLE experience!!!!!!
Do not get water heaters from this company!!!

The price was changed in the middle of the job. $112 for pulling the toilet. You should have pulled it from the beginning.  The technician kept trying to explain that it was cast-iron pipe and if there was a problem. No camera has been ran down there to verify any issues with the cast-iron pipe. So having said that, I won't be calling themmmm

Kitchen sink was clogged, Rotorooter came out and did a minimal job on getting sink to empty at $419. They then suggested a camera to view where the clog is located (so they agreed it was not cleared, but running slowly). $169 for the camera guy to come 2 days later. Camera showed clog at about 9 feet in. He would not clear it because he is just the camera guy!?? So another guy came out the next day, said if he were to cable the drain again, it is not covered under their 6 month warranty, because the drain is clearing - altho very slowly. He wanted another $419 to clear it, OR $990 to do a high speed water jet. At that, I asked him to leave.
Hired Universal Drain the following day, took him 10 minutes to completely clear the clog, and he checked the main outdoor drain, all 4 bathrooms plus he made several recommendations on how to ensure all drains and toilets stay clear forever! Highly professional and very reasonably priced.

Had some plumbing issues and within less than 60mins of calling their dispatch Mauricio was here, fixed our issue and was out. Super professional, nice gentleman and will absolutely call them again if ever needed! Be sure to check out their website for needed coupons!

Total rip-off and exploitation of an 86 year old woman, a client of ours.
I would give minus 5 stars if I could.
Toilet tank was running, needed new fill valve, a $10 part at HD. They charged $20, which is acceptable.
But they hit the lady with a $374.00 labor charge. When I found out and asked for an adjustment/partial refund, they told me thee job was done more than x days ago and a refund is not possible.
What a crock! Everything is possible if you are the owner!
Well, they might have made an extra $150 or $200 on that job, but they will never get another job at any of our other 40+ clients, or from office staff, family members and friends.  We are all spreading the word about who NEVER to use for any plumbing needs: Roto Rooter out of Glendale.

Well I just got done with 24 hours of hell waiting for this company. I called around noon and was told they would come out to fix a quick issue (my tenants did not have water through all of this) by 4:30. No show and I had to call at 5 to check in. They said all technicians were delayed and they would get back to me in an hour. Hour goes by... no call. I call again and same issue. 7 pm rolls around and still no one shows up and no phone call with any kind of update! At this point I had waited long enough and rescheduled for the morning with a window of 8-12. Shocker, no show and I have to call again at 12. I understand delays but that was ridiculous and the costumer service on following up was unacceptable!!

Technician finally came out. Solved the issue but after waiting 24 hours (water had to be turned off this whole time) they only offered a measly 50$ off. Only reason they are getting a star is because I will say the job finally got done and the actual technicians that came out were very nice and helpful. Too bad because I have used them multiple times in the past with no issues, but this experience will be making me use another company next time.

UPDATE: other company we hired charged $350 for same job... saving us $2,700!

SCAMMERS! Save yourself the time and energy and go somewhere else. The guys who showed up this morning were unprepared to install a shower drain, despite us providing a detailed description of what was needed when setting up the appointment.

They looked at the drain and then went outside to consult each other and figure out price as they would need to drill away a piece of concrete. They sheepishly came back to us with a ~$3k price tag for the work. SCAMMERS!!!

We asked to speak to the supervisor and some unprofessional guy jumps on the line and drums up a courtesy discount to take the edge off. When asked how their price compares to competitors, supervisor says he doesn't really know or care what other companies charge . Seriously?? Way to stay competitive. We used another company... $350 for the same job.

End of rant. Don't waste your time. Hire a company with skilled workers who value your time and hard earned dollar, and provide quality work at a reasonable price.

First time, this month, had Robert, for a clogged kitchen drain. Was happy, wrote good review--too soon.  Ten minutes after his departure, started the dishwasher-=-which flooded the kitchen. Finally got a Senior tech, Andre W. (and good trainee, Ty), who not only sorted the problem, but went deeper--one problem had lead to another, in this 1959 home. He took the considerable time, was kind, checked everything worked before leaving...the ultimate professional. He deserves a raise, flowers, chocolates, world peace and a pony.  Am removing one star b/c communication at RR is a problem: branch manager Mike never returned calls (left 3 messages), and some dispatchers hadn't the right info, or didn't act on it.

This is my second time having to use Roto-rooters and I am glade I did. I own a rental property and I live out of state. I find them fast, same day service, a little pricey but both times I has called and used them they was honest and not trying to put a bill on me for services I did not need. I have had such a nightmare experience in the past with another plumbing company (Robins plumbing) so I was hesitant to call Roto routers at first. But both times I have had them come out and service my property they was 100% professional.
Thank you!

RUN AWAY!
They will rip you off and not do what they say they will do!
Do not get sucked into their up sales.  They came out right away when I had a back up and then up sold me to a $7000 hydro blast and pipe coating.  Instead of actually doing what they said they would they just moved the clog further down the line and when my home flooded for the 2nd time they came out with a pitch for $14,000.  I was like wait a minute you did not do the first part for $7000 correctly and your tech even said it was not done and you want more money.  Fix this original job and then we will see about the 14K.
When I said that all of the sudden they were busy and it would be two weeks for them to correct their original screw up.
The branch manager is super rude and down right abusive.  He kept threatening to lien my home and sue me rather than correct the problem.  He kept referencing their bids that I signed and how it was my fault and they would come after me.
They are very horrible and especially as a women I would not trust them.  They are below a used car salesman!
They are out to get you for everything that you have and they do not care about their customers.
I thought going with a national company would be the safest way for me to ensure I was not being taken for a ride.
WRONG, they just have it down how they will make you pay and regret ever calling them.

Wow!
The service I received from this company is absolutely amazing. I was unable to use my bathroom/dishwasher/washer for two days and called these guys and I am so thankful for them.

Mason and Jonathan are so awesome! Both of them are communicative, efficient, personable, informative. They not only fixed the issue with my plumbing extremely fast, but they provided me with tips to prevent it in the future.

They also don't make you feel embarrassed about your most private moments.

Shoutout to Anastasia on the phone, as well!

I highly recommend these guys! :D

We had a clogged upstairs toilet that needed a rooter service. After calling our usual plumbing service who were too booked up for today (Holiday Season) , and after getting astronomical quotes from other plumbing services, I decided to call our local roto-rooter.

The nice young man (Trevor) who answered my call was very helpful, saying  they did offer free estimates (no service call) and he could have someone out by 5:30, I said great - and made the appointment.

Well, 5:20 rolls around and I'm getting a little nervous thinking, ok, it might be an after-hours service, but at 5:27 the door bell rings and the plumber, (also a very nice young man) Jack was at the door. He stopped and said, I need to go back and get my mask - he was considerate even not knowing there were three seniors in the house.

He went upstairs. Took a look at the toilet bowl, asked if I had tried to use a plunger, which I had but couldn't get it unclogged. He then took the plunger, quickly plunged it down - and cleared the clog just like that!

He checked to see if the water flowed all right - and it did. Issue taken care of.  Quickly, efficiently, courteously.

This young man Jack was very honest, very professional, fair and good. We'll remember him - hopefully he'll still be with this local Roto-Rooter if we need service in the future.

Thank you so much, Jack and Trevor!

No doubt too, if my friends in the area need professional and efficient plumbing work we'll be glad to recommend Roto-Rooter ... and Jack!

Misleading lead time was unethical. First I was told 1.5 hrs, then when I called and they weren't there, it was another 1.5 hrs, called again, then told another 2 hrs, called again, then told yet another 2 hours, called then another 2 hrs... it was insane! The entire day was shot waiting around for someone to show up.

I have to mention that the technician, Seth was 5 star, but I would never recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone based on my experience with being flat out lied to and jerked around about the time they would arrive.

Horrible service!! We had family friends over to help us deal with our water heater leaking and we were ALL counting on Roto Rooter to come help. They drove here only to help us out, and it is a 35 min drive for them to come to our place!
Called at 10 AM to get a quote. The lady, Samantha, who answered the phone asked for a good phone number to call and I gave her my number. She screwed up my phone number and then told me a technician would text me and be here between 2-6. Perfect, we can wait.
It's around 3 or 4, and I never received a text or a phone call. I call again, and the person who picked up found out that my phone number was put in incorrectly which is why I never got a text. I understand mistakes happen, so I say it's okay. He tells me that because they are very backed up, I should expect a technician between 4-8 and I will receive a text from them. I say okay, we can wait.
I get a call at around 6, but there is no voicemail and it was a different number than what I had been calling. Plus, I was expecting a text, not a phone call! If I should be expecting a phone call, please tell me so I can answer strange numbers!
I call at around 7, asking if I can expect a technician within the next hour. The person who picked up told me that somebody tried to reach me at around 6, and that they should've left a voice mail. Well that's funny, cause they didn't leave one! The person then tells me to wait for somebody, and I ask if I should call the phone number who had called me and he tells me I don't have to.
Despite this phone call, I call the number that had called me earlier. The guy who answered the phone talked to the technician and told me that I should expect a call within the hour since the technician is finishing up on somebody and we are next. He told me that I can definitely expect somebody to come tonight. It's around 7:15 PM now. Our family friends are still here, waiting for a technician to come.
Well, it is currently 9:20, with no phone call or any updates about anything. Our family friends wasted 10 hours at our house, waiting for this company to help us. They ended up leaving at around 9, driving 35 min back home empty-handed.
This company is a complete waste of time and has HORRIBLE communication skills. I've been tossed around and every single person I've spoken to has told me a different thing. Nobody in this company knows what's even going on. I wasted my only day off from work waiting for somebody to come help us out and being led on with empty promises. And not to mention, I was supposed to use this day to go take care of a loved one but instead I cancelled it because I thought I would be able to get my water heater dealt with! This is absolutely atrocious and extremely disappointing. Shame on this company.

I had scheduled an estimate to come and check leaking faucets in the master bathroom sink and tub and for a toilet issue. I was given an window time of 12p-4pm. They were to call or text 30 mins before arriving. They asked what I preferred, I said text. Day of appointment, I received 2 missed calls at around 120pm, no vociemails left. I only knew it was from Rotor-Rooter because I called it back. Since it was during the window, I thought they were calling to say they would be arriving, so I wanted. Time is now 345pm and no one has arrived. Called dispatch and was informed oh, yeah they think it was to let you know, tech was running behind on a job, but that he would still be arriving today. They would call when he would be 30 mins out. Received a call at 440pm that tech was on his way and would be about 30mins. No one ever arrived. Got a call at about 645pm from dispatch to ask about the appointment that never happened. Dispatch was unable to tell me what happened, but was basically asking me if I wanted to reschedule for another day after waiting all day for no one to ever show up. I did not reschedule and said this was poor business management and customer service. They apologized, but did not seem to care how much of an inconvenience it was and did not attempt to make it right. Will definetely never use them again!

We had a stoppage of the kitchen sink and called the night before to schedule service as soon as possible. We were given a window of 10am to 12pm. At 12pm after receiving no call that the plumber was on his way we called. They told us that the technician was delayed and it was going to be 1 more hour at the most.

At 1pm, one hour later, we still got no phone call and had to call again. This time we were told no later than 3pm. So we have wasted our whole day waiting for a technician. According to them we have been next in line for the last two hours.

We recommend going with a local plumber instead since we stated the 10am to 12pm would work since we had plans that afternoon and have had to cancel them and cannot use the kitchen at all.

Our bath has been clogging up for about a month. We used Drano but it only helped temporarily. We finally decided to call Roto-Rooter. They set up a time for a free estimate which was nice since other companies I called charged just to come out and look at it. Mason was the technician that helped us. He was friendly, professional, answered all of our questions and even though we were his last call at 8:40 PM he provided great customer service! Even told us about a coupon he could apply! He fixed the problem with in minutes and now our bath is clogg free! Thanks Mason!

This company is completely fraudulent.
Received a quote on phone that was not upheld by company.
Technician didn't even look at problem and quoted a price.
Technician who performed work told me people who answered phones were not qualified to give quotes.
Technician was in house a little over 13 minutes and charged $ 250.00.
Called company to provide feedback from experience and was given the run around by people who answer phones.
Never did receive a call from company after 'service' was provided fraudulently.
If you want to have money stolen and VERY little customer satisfaction, these are your crooks!

I had noticed that my water bill had been escalating. Through working with the city, we determined the main service line to my house was leaking at a very high rate. Due to my situation, I had to work through the city for this repair, and the city called out Roto-Rooter to run a new main service line. They arrived at about 1:30pm (about an hour after the city called) and then proceeded to work until 11PM THAT NIGHT to try to get it fixed. At this point, there were 4 of them working in my postage-stamp-sized-yard to try to get this finished. While it didn't end up being possible to completely finish the job that night, they were able to restore water to my house for the night, and arrived the next morning to finish the job. I was completely impressed at the level of commitment of their team, plus they were all so incredibly kind and communicative. I am so thankful for them!

I made an appointment last Friday for a technician to come out on Monday from 8-10. At 10 I called the office and canceled my appointment because no one had called yet at the time. I wasn't even asked if I wanted to reschedule and no apology for the technician not calling yet. After reading some of the reviews I was actually happy he didn't come.

Update: Received a generic reply like all the other negative reviews. The date/time of my appointment were listed as well as my name. How hard is it to locate call that was canceled and contact me directly?

If I could leave no stars, I would and I'm sorry this is such a long review but the details are necessary. My elderly mother is trying to buy a house and we needed a quote and inspection report on all of the items that needed to be repaired or replaced. Initially, all was great. Jordan came out and went through the house and told us we would have the report that evening or the following day. The following day, a Friday, our realtor called Jordan and he said the office had everything to put the report together but that their computers were down.  They assured our realtor that they would get it done as soon as the computers were back up. Now, keep in mind that we are running out of time on our inspection period and my Mother needs a place to live.

The following Monday, our realtor called again, repeatedly. The office staff stated that our realtor was blowing up their phones and that they would have the report done by day end. The next day, Tuesday, our realtor called to see where the report was. To no avail. The realtor was told that they needed to reach Jordan again but it was his day off. The realtor eventually spoke with the manager and was told that they would get in touch with Jordan and complete the report. When it didn't come the realtor called again was told that they didn't appreciate having their phone blown up. The realtor eventually got the report and it was missing items and had 6th grade-level typos (ex: peddle stool sink instead of pedestal sink - this is a plumbing company writing this).

The realtor went back to them, got some serious attitude and was eventually told that maybe we should go somewhere else, which we happily did. We missed our inspection date but that's okay. We're happy to know how these people operate and we can tell the world about it on Yelp and plenty of other places. The realtor, who used to use them exclusively, will never use them again either. This business is horrible and with this attitude won't be around much longer.

Save time and aggravation and bypass this business.

On 6/12/20 called Roto-Rooter for toilet back up. They scoped plumbing pipes with camera determined pipes were badly needed to have epoxy coating to the bad pipes and install a bull horn style clean out with new ABS pipes and fittings. Same day they tried to put a camera down the kitchen pipes, but it was too clogged to inspect. Then on 6/16/20 they returned with a written estimate to do more work on the pipes from front to back of house and descale kitchen line and coat with epoxy 55' long. Estimate was $8250.00. On 6/22/20 crew started the work on the pipes. During this time occupants had to vacate home to hotel during work on the home. Work was completed in 1 day, I returned home after call from roto-rooter (Jason) work was completed. Around 7/28/2020 I called Roto-Rooter and spoke with Chris Specht (production mgr.) about invasion of Cock Roaches since the plumbing work was completed, job has a 5-year warranty on the coating and 1-year warranty on labor. Chis said he would have someone call to follow up. I waited 1 week, called spoke with Diana (Mgr.) she said the plumber Jason who did the work would come to inspect the pipes with camera. Jason never called or came. Had to hire an new company to replace their work and complete the job correctly. Filed a complaint on BBB.

Pros - Professional customer service with the lady on the phone to the serviceman.

Cons - Questionable pricing policy of NOT quoting prices of services over the phone.  Makes it difficult to compare with others and places extra pressure on customers needing service.

After spending 6 hours of my own time attempting to clear a clog in the kitchen sink, I decided to call for a plumber.  I called four different companies and asked each about their pricing and schedule; the final company called was Roto-rooter.  The lady who answered was pleasant and professional.  Steve, the serviceman, was professional and knowledgeable of his trade.  Because this was a Sunday call and my work week did not have the flexibility to wait for regular service, I decided to choose Roto-Rooter even though other Yelpers warned about the pricing policy of not giving an estimate over the phone.  When the serviceman arrived, he evaluated the situation and quoted $240 to clear the drain in an island sink + $50 for a Sunday call.  Obviously on the spot with limited options, I ok'd the service.

The sink works but I'm frustrated by Roto-rooters's pricing policy.  Their Sunday price was comparable to other plumbers contacted and I may have picked them knowing their price over the phone.  This pricing tactic is enough to give me pause when looking for plumber for other services.

They informed us that they would install new piping leading to the city, The water had nowhere to go but under the house, so we were experiencing a huge flux in sewer cockroaches. they used a camera to look into the pipes to see where they needed to work. they asked every occupant of our home to get a motel because facilities would be down, when they said the work was finished we came back home, a couple days later the sinks wouldn't drain and the issues started again.  A new plumbing company (Rooter Ranger) broke ground and found the following piping NOT REPLACED! Almost $9000 for this? Now we know why they wanted us not to be there while they worked! They don't have your family's best interest at heart, thank god the other company found this! We called Roto-Rooter to come back out and they were supposed to send someone but they never called back or checked on us! Several people live in the home so we all saw how they handled this, or should I say didn't handle it at all!

I called roto rooter to get my plumbing scoped with a camera. Was told they could be out that day (5:30). However the rude woman on the phone informed me she had NO IDEA how much it would cost. Not a ballpark, nothing. I was in a hurry to get it looked at as it is a home I'm looking to purchase and need the information within the 10 day inspection period so I schedule the appointment.

After three, one hour delays with no calls to inform me (I had to follow up with them) they cancelled on my all together.

So rude service, a three hour delay and a last minute cancellation would say never use this company EVER.

Five Stars go out to Steve Wadle for his diligence, tenacity and excellent customer service. Steve was the only bidder who came out and 1) cleared our main drain clog and 2) properly diagnosed and showed us what was wrong with our main drain, and 3) provided alternatives, including the least expensive and perhaps best resulting alternative and bid.

That being said, that all seemed to be the easy part due to the local technicians unavailability and thus needing to schedule a technical crew out of Tucson, who unfortunately didn't complete the job as scoped. However, again thanks to Steve's diligent review and quality check of the work performed, noticed the shortfall and coordinated the local technician to ultimately finish the job. What should have been a few days unfortunately took longer, but thanks to Steve and the great customer support and response of his Glendale Office management, made the experience ultimately worthy of Four stars. We will continue to use this Roto Rooter branch, and in particular Steve Wadle - all because of Steve and his loyalty to us as the customer. Thanks Steve!

Edmond was fantastic! Talk about great customer service and speedy results. Edmond fixed our issue and did it in a very professional and friendly manner. He also cleaned up after himself and gave me a couple of tips for preventative care. This could have been a horrible situation but Edmond did an amazing job and I also enjoyed chatting with him. If all of Roto-Rooter's employee are like Edmond, I'll definitely call for services again.

Seth and Lorenzo did an awesome job on our 60 year old plumbing problem. They came late at night when we had our issue and stayed until the problem was solved. They went above and beyond our expectations. I would recommend ROTO rooter to anyone with an issue and ask for Seth and Lorenzo by name!

Last week I had a toilet back up in my home. I had a very poor experience with another company prior to calling Roto Rooter.  The team had me scheduled for service to occur within 1-2 hours of my initial call. Then the service tech, Seth G., arrived and his customer service was excellent! Not only did he fix the backed up toilet but he did it in less time and for less money than a previous company. He was very professional and knowledgeable and they gave me a 6 month warranty and everything has been fine since. If any future problems arise in my home due to plumbing issues, I will only be using Roto rooter and specifically Seth G. As my service technician.

About a week ago, I had a gentleman come give us an estimate on how much the Plumbing Camera Locator would costs us to detect any breaks into the line of the house. I thought the estimate was reasonable and decided to pay for the job. However about 20 minutes ago, Matthew the tech reached out to me that he was outside my house when I was previous told I'll get a call 30 mins- an hour before hand. I informed Matthew that I will need to reschedule so his responds was Thank you for wasting my time.

Words can not describe what a terrible situation I was placed in. I was literally about to pay 300 bucks for a license professional to only tell me I was wasting his time. There are plenty of competition out there who does not belittle customers with passive aggression behavior. I strongly urge Future customers to take their business elsewhere.

Josh saved the day installing a new shower cartridge  in a VIGO shower tower which was his first time working with this product. He reseached the part needed, I ordered it myself because the plumber from Collins Commercial Services which I was assigned to from my home warrantee company OneGuard was lazy and didn't do any research. A week lapsed and issue still unresolved. Josh installed the part and I was so grateful for his knowledge and kindness.

Absolutely do not use Roto-rooter! I had Roto-rooter come and re-pipe my home December of 2015. I had a pipe that came off in my laundry room from where they soldered it. Turns out the warranty is only for a year. I had to turn off the main and fix it myself. Just yesterday another part of the pipe came off the soldered part and water was everywhere. I had to turn off the main yet again.  They didn't even install shut off valves and all my pipes are run under one main. I spent over $5000.00. Roto-rooter is a major company. They only care about your money and do shoddy work and run with your money!! It's a shame Yelp won't allow zero stars or negative stars!!

We recently purchased a new home and had roto rooter come out to give us a full inspection about a month ago. The tech did a great job- he made some recommendations, which weren't a cheap expenditure, but seemed like a good investment. We ended up spending around $700 for all of our services and were confident in knowing we could trust the plumbing in our new home.

One of our drains recently started pooling water so I went online to find the roto rooter number (we had originally purchased the warranty) to give them a call. When I was on the website I found a coupon for a service we had paid for during our original inspection. At first I was a little upset we hadn't been offered the coupon, but then thought I'd ask about it even though the chances were I would be disregarded in my request for a credit.

Well, I feel so lucky that I was able to get a hold of Kelly Nichols in their billing department. Kelly came to the rescue! At first she wasn't sure about the coupon and requested I send it to her. She then followed up with me accordingly and seemed like she really cared about what this money meant to our family (it made a big difference!). After an enjoyable and professional correspondence, Kelly informed me she would credit back my card for the coupon amount.

In today's world, it's hard to find businesses and associates that really care about their customer base. I will continue to use Roto Rooter and will refer friends and family to their services just because of what Kelly did for us. She deserves some recognition and a raise!

Trevor answered and could not give a general price quote via phone. He doesn't have access to the price list. They can send someone out and use my time to assess what is wrong and then give me a quote. At which point if I like it I can do the job at a later date or send him away.
Seems like a giant waste of my time.

Edmond from the Glendale Roto-Rooter is my hero. For months our drain has been chugging along. Finally, I had enough. Edmond spent literally hours making certain our pipes were clear. His professionalism and competent demeanour were surpassed only by his ability to find and rectify our problem. Five stars is not sufficient to describe my complete satisfaction.

These guys are the scum of the earth. They sent me a technician who was on time within the range that they gave me.

I had a backup that I wanted him to snake with a camera. The guy quoted me $480, so I told him to fuck off. He left.
He came back in and asked me if I wanted him check if his supervisor would allow him to do it for less. His second price was $280 so I issued him to do the work.

Where it really gets scummy is when I never got the video I paid for. Customer service isn't helpful either when I called to try and locate the footage.

Make sure you negotiate hard with these guys and don't sign anything until they deliver. Also make sure the description on your paperwork includes everything they promised you.

Roto-rooter experience...eye opener!! Tree roots grow into my sewer line. Called Roto rooter, they got someone there rather quickly. Easy access drain pipe,  insert snake, water drains but not sure if the pipe was cleared. The guy took a picture... Of the steel pipe NOT where the blockage was. Bad business practice!!! 3 month guarantee is useless! Extreem price for what was done. Weekday, during business hours,  $200.00. I do NOT recommend Roto Rooter.

Absolutely worthless. Left me waiting for over a day and a half. Every damn time I called to ask what was up they said the guy was around the corner. Will never use or recommend. Still never sent anyone out. Finally had to cancel completely because they just make up random notes in their system. Sucks. Terrible. That's all. Just seriously...don't use

Wow! What is a scheduled appointment for? I had an appointment scheduled between 12-2. After waiting for the plumber to show up during the scheduled time, I called the company to check on the delay at 2:20. I was informed that it would be 1-2 hours for someone to get out but they would keep me informed on when I should expect a technician.

After waiting 2 more hours, I made another call and was told there was still a 2 hour delay. What? So now, expected arrival time is between 4:30-6:30.  They said I was 3rd in line after the technicians complete their current job. What's so amazing is I was 3rd in line over 2 hours ago. Good news though, while I was on the phone I moved to 2nd in line because another customer cancelled. I couldn't believe the company has the expectation that customers don't have other things to do other than patiently wait for a technician from Roto-Rooter to show up.

If someone would have reached out as promised and let me know there was a delay, I would have happily rescheduled or at least been part of the decision to extend the wait time.

I ended up canceling and will take my current and future business elsewhere. You might want to as well.

I cancelled my appointment because they said they had a 2-3 hour delay. I was afraid there would be more of a delay after that. Looks like they may be overbooking. I took the day off work so I didn't want to waste my time. I called Southwest Plumbing and they told me they would be out in about an hour. I only booked my appointment wutg Roto-Rooter because I saw the truck in my neighborhood. I didn't read the reviews. What a mistake. Next time I'll ask the neighbor first.

Well, I waited a couple months to write this review. As a business owner, I carry great stock in these reviews, and do not want to cause harm on any other company. But the experience that I had with Roto- Rooter needs to be shared. I purchased a  building for my window company. Toilets were not flushing well. Called the trouble shooter to come out. They told me the pipes were extremely clogged, and a flush with a special tool only Roto-Rooter has. Cost: $7,000, but if I did it then and there... only $6,500. So of course I got a second opinion, from Moon Valley Plumbing. They came out, snaked the pipes. Said they are just fine. Charged me $348. Not a single issue since! Thanks Moon Valley, and shame on Roto-Rooter!

Called this morning to have my sewer pipe cleared, drain was just running slow not totally stopped up. Gal on the phone said would be from 95 to 200 dollars , guy came and said 285, that was with a bottle of bio clean. I Little more pricey than I thought. But I did see a coupon on their website for 50 .  So that helped get the price down ,  I forgot to go on yelp and check out others before I called them.

Dave came out and thoroughly investigated a drain that smells bad.  He was courteous, competant and knowledgable. The drain issue will have to be fixed during an upcoming rennovation, but Dave suggested ways that we could minimize the odor.  He also fixed a leaky shower valve by replacing the cartridge and giving us a new knob and faceplate. Our shower works great now.  We will look forward to working with him in the future.

After being overcharged by the plumber who did the work, I posted a negative review.  The owner contacted me, I spoke to the branch manager, we worked out a much more reasonable price, and they refunded the excess charges.  Their service was prompt when I needed a bad leak fixed.  I feel the owner and the branch manager care about providing good customer service.  Jeff, the branch manager, contacted me several times to check that the refund to my card went through.  Thank you to Sheila and Jeff for working with me to resolve our differences.

Josh, Ben, Cody and Gil - Fantastic job!  It was a holiday weekend, but they came out according to the time quoted.  Gave updates through the whole process.  Job required coordination with the city to come out and mark the power/cable/etc., acquiring backhoe to dig up pipe in the yard, and replacement of broken pipe between house and the street.  Everything was coordinated with the city and ready to begin first thing this morning.  The whole job was finished by the original estimated time.  They even saved the plants!  Very professional!!

I'm a little late writing this review, but it's better than letting this year go by without saying this.  These guys are the most professional group of plumbers in the Phoenix area.  I called a host of companies and Roto-Rooter was the only one that didn't try to up-sell me on replacing my sewage pipe to the city's street line.  My parents are elderly and infirmed requiring the use of their bathroom without interruption.  RR showed up and cleared the roots and video confirmed the pipe for a flat rate at the time.  The others told me that using a blade would damage the pipe and other stories that weren't true.  They were in and out in less that an hour.  That's why they've been in business since the 1940's I believe? Thanks Larry and video guy.  If I got your name wrong I apologize.

Terrible prices. Terrible customer service.

Almost $400 for a standard main drain snake. Almost $200 for any other drains.

All of my sinks, showers and toilets were backed up. I had them snake the main drain. Solved my problem. Less than two weeks later my two bathroom sinks are backing up again. I call them, they show up over 2 hours late and tell me it will be another $200 because its a separate drain. Why didn't they tell me this may be an issue the first time they were supposed to fix ALL of the drains. Called customer service and manager was supposed to call me an never did, so I called back the next day. Did not hear back until a day after that (my sinks are sitting there clogged the whole time and I can't use them) Finally I get a call from GREG. He tried to talk over me, was rude and gave me the run around to try and shut me up. I told him I am a new homeowner and have lived in my house for just over a year and they just lost a customer for life. He did not seem to care or want to address the problem.

Go with a small plumbing company they will charge you 1/4 of the price.

Also, instead of nasty Drain-O, go natural and pour dry banking soda down the problem sink, then vinegar and cover the hole, it will force the mixture down the pipe. 20-30 min after that pour a gallon of boiling water down the sink. Repeat this several times on big problem drains. Works like a freaking charm. Didn't believe it until I did it.

I will never go to another plumbing company again! I've tried cutting corners in the past with mom and pop companies until I had a terrible experience and decided to give RR a try! Cassie's persistency in helping with my rental properties was nothing short of amazing. Her attention to detail and the knowledge she possessed was evident. Cassie was not only extremely knowledgable but provided impeccable service. I felt extremely comfortable sending her to my properties and having her work directly with my tenants. She helped explain the work needed thoroughly and left everyone feeling at ease. The most important thing to me is turn around time, Cassie was super responsive whether by text phone or email I knew my questions and concerns would be immediately addressed. A successful business is not based on Sales rather then the number of repeat sales.  Companies thrive & survive off tradition, make it a generational thing. Roto rooter is exactly that because of employees like Cassie, I will continue to give my business to Roto Rooter.

I had them come out to repair a couple of plumbing issues I was having that was not related to drains. I had very low water pressure coming out of the shower in the master bath, and a leak from underneath the toliet. They came out and gave me an estimate of 234$ to fix the shower, and 202$ to fix the toliet. I agreed to the toliet, after he had said it was probably the cartridge going bad.(I had replaced those myself although a pain, not worth the $230+ to do it)
While he was tearing the toliet apart, he found out his wax ring was defective. Luckily I had one myself as I was going to do it, but opted against it. So he used my part instead.
After the toliet was fixed, he said he spoke with his boss, and would give me a 'special deal' on getting the shower fixed, for 150$ instead. So reluctantly I agreed. He was having some problems getting it out and needed to use some of my tools. Together we got the part off, and I left him to his business. He later came back with the bill for over 400$. When I inquried to what happened and that it was much higher than we agreed upon, he said the parts were more expensive than he thought. (Isnt that what a quote is for when your onsite?!?!) I felt like I got took advantage of because now he did the work, things are fixed and working the way it should, and now Im stuck. So I wrote a check and off he went.

I have never used rotorooter for non-drain type work before. I think you would be better off using them for this kind of process rather than other plumbing repair type of work. I wont be using them again.

This is a review for the employees I was Blessed to meet on 9/2/2017. Chris the plumber is a very nice, sensitive and caring person who turn around and called Valentine the waterman (lol)  to come help assist him in finding the problem. They both did everything in their power to fix and correct the problem while pointing out other things wrong. I even got the chance to meet their Supervisor today Chris Dillender.  Chris the plumber made me cry and smile, knowing how stressed out I was from this issue came in and gave me a hug today really warm my heart. The other people walk in the house on them today really trying to bully them while they were working, Valentine stood his ground and told them to kick rocks and get the steppin.  Even though how everything unfolded the Roto Rooter Team still Stand Strong.  It's hard to put your trust in a Company but now I can absolutely say I found an Honest and Trusting Friendly Company Called Roto Rooter (Chris & Valentine) you two make an awesome team.

This is my 3rd time since October that I've needed a plumber. We just moved into an older home that had sat vacant for a while. Each time Roto Rooter has come out they have been amazing! The first two times were at night, on the weekend, and an emergency. And each time they came right out and fixed us fast. I even shopped around to see if anyone would be cheaper, but found that at night most 1. Won't call you back 2. Won't come out at night 3. Will charge you almost double. They have always been super friendly and offer advise to keep our pipes clean.  And each time they come out a few days later I get a thank you card from them. I will always call them and recommend them HIGHLY.

Roto Rooter sent a young plumber named Cameron to do some repairs and he acted like he was uninterested in doing the job he was hired to do.  He said he couldn't find the faucets or drain pipes that would fit our sinks.  Well if he did a little research he would find that even Home Depot would probably have what was needed.  On top of that, the estimate to repair and replace what we needed was outrageous.  No thanks!  For what he wanted to charge for a job that he didn't even know if he could get the parts for, I ended up telling Cameron to leave and hired somebody cheaper.  Roto Rooter overcharges and sends out people that don't seem to have a clue.
