Pal Painting

I hired Nevada and his team about a week and a half ago after requesting a quote through Yelp. He was one of two people that actually gave me an estimate over the app before scheduling an in person free estimate. Can't stand when home improvement people won't give me a general range upon requesting a quote, I just want an idea of what to expect as far as price goes..

Nevada and the other dude were the same price, however due to their killer Yelp reviews I felt more comfortable hiring this team. So glad I did! I told Nevada that I'd like the interior of my townhouse painted within 2 weeks, timeline was the biggest thing for me because I freaking hated the color of my walls! Bought the place in late September, had to put floors in and then paint interior shortly thereafter...

The guy that painted my place was named Omar. I cannot say enough about his professionalism and overall friendliness. The guy was a genuine pleasure to have in my place; I have 2 little loud dogs that gave Omar hell pretty consistently but he couldn't have been nicer throughout the entire experience!

The communication from Nevada during the 3 days of painting was great; him and his team are extremely responsive and reliable.

Price was fair as well. Highly recommend!

These guys are awesome.  They talk the talk and they walk the walk.
I have previously painted my own home the last few times so I knew what needed to get done.  This time around, I didn't have time but these guys pointed out everything that I needed to do during the walkthru that several other guys had missed.  
These guys may be a little busy with their scheduling but the good ones always are.  However, their communication was great, the work they did was great and they had the house done in just a few days.
I will save their info and use them again in the future.

I contacted Adam the owner of Pal Painting to help paint my newly leased business office.  He happened to have a crew available and started my job immediately.  As a business owner it is nice to meet someone who takes pride in their trade, is efficient, delivers what they promise and does the work at a fair price.  I was able to check off one of the larger things on my to do list and Adam made it headache-free.  Everything was taped off, cleaned up, and you wouldn't know he had been there except for the perfectly painted walls and baseboards.  Thanks to Adam and his crew for getting me off to a clean start!

Our community hired Pal Painting to paint our interior block walls. Adam worked with us to become an approved vendor at our management company, keeping me advised of his progress as he worked through the system. He also kept us updated throughout the process, letting us know when they would be on property. Everyone was very pleased with the results of the job. It's the best the walls have looked for years!

My experience with this company was fantastic!  From the beginning, Adam and Nevada were easy to communicate with, punctual, and incredibly honest about expectations. I have an older half heavy stucco and half brick house with a large block wall. Their recommendations were fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. They are clearly experienced painters, familiar with our climate/sun needs, and well-versed in colors, details, and visualizing the final product. I found the pricing more than fair. The rest of their crew, including Bernie, was polite, hard-working, and professional. I am so happy I chose this company for my exterior repainting and will likely hire them in the future for smaller interior projects as well as coating my flat white roof and pool deck. Thanks!

I contacted Adam by text about 10 days ago to get a quote on painting the exterior of our home   Adam contact me within about five minutes, came out the following day, and they were able to start within a few days.  Our home was completed yesterday.  Adam and Nevada are brothers and run a fantastic business!   Our home is completed already and it looks beautiful! they completed the entire exterior, our block walls surrounding our pool and some other small jobs for us. Their crew is timely and hard-working! I can say with 100% confidence this is the best experience we have ever had with any business out here.  Bernie was in time every morning and worked hard, quickly and non stop! He was super polite and we enjoyed having him around as he worked to complete our home.  Adam and Nevada... your Dad is definitely smiling down from Heaven on you both and guaranteed he is super proud that you have carried on his business!

I would give this family business a million shooting stars if I could! Adam is hardworking, professional and through the entire process we felt he was fully dedicated to us as clients. I am a very detail oriented person and see all of the little things. He and his crew were excellent to work with, extremely patient and addressed all the minor details without making us feel like we were a burden. Adam has vast knowledge and experience in the painting business and it shows! He explained everything in detail, educated us about the paint and process very well and we couldn't be happier with the results of our home!

When Adam showed up at my house to give me an estimate and was wearing a Reds hat, I (a Cubs fan) started to think this might not be a good fit. I'm glad I got past that, because he and his team did an amazing job. Everything was done on time and the price was very reasonable. They were available and helpful throughout the project and really made our house look like new. I highly recommend them, despite their questionable taste in baseball teams.

High quality work at an affordable price.  Great attention to detail.  Living out of state, he frequently updated me on the progress and sent photos, and was very courteous with my renters.  Highly recommend!

They were a recommendation from my realtor and they did a great job!  They came out and looked at the job to properly assess what would be needed and made some great color recommendations. They have even been able to accommodate a crazy ever-changing construction schedule as well!

They were priced right, showed up on time and got the job done quickly. As with any paint job, there were touchups to be done, but they got those taken care of quickly. The house looks great, especially since it had been 20 or more years since the last paint job.

Would highly recommend! Adam, Nevada, and Omar were all super reliable and did great work. I appreciate the attention to detail and the good amount of prep work they did in order to make the end result look great.

Highly recommend! I stumbled upon this company when they were painting my neighbor's house. George, their bright, young salesperson, was responsive, providing an estimate within an hour! He did a great job answering my questions and is not a high-pressure salesperson. This is a family-owned business and I dealt with George, his dad, Nevada and his dad's dad, William. I felt like I was their only customer throughout the process.

They did a fantastic job painting my neighbor's house exterior, plus mine and my dad's too. The lines were perfect, the paint shined and the price was low.

Very rarely does one find a company that is reasonably priced and high quality, but this company has it all-plus the best salesperson ever-George!

This was such a great team to work with our house painting job.  Adam came out to do the estimate of the work and was very friendly and personable and even left a Color Fan Deck to look and decide on the colors. Nevada gave great recommendations regarding the colors for the house and the trim. We decided to move forward with Swiss Coffee for the body and Espresso Macchiato for the trim. The team came out a few days afterwards and painted the house, trim, gates, yard wall, as well as the storage shed. It looks great and I'm so in love with the house! They were affordable and easy to work with, I highly recommend this team for your painting needs.

If you are looking to get your home painted no need to look any further than Alexander Johnston's family owned business.  It was the first time I felt someone cared as much about my home as my family does.  Adam, made sure everything was on schedule and that I was always informed of the next step in the process. Nevada helped us pick out colors and did a great job on the pool decking.  Victor was amazing, really taking the time to do it right the first time.  Mr. Johnston visited the home several times throughout the week to make sure that only the highest level of workmanship was done on every step.   All of this at a reasonable price and on-time.

Thank you for the flawless experience! I called Alexander Johnson randomly on a Saturday, and within 30 min he met with me to give an estimate on my grandmother's older home that was in desperate need of a paint job. I really didn't know what they could do with all the old flaking wood and absolutely filthy exterior. But they blew me away with their hard work and experience. The finish product was nothing short of amazing and even my neighbors are in awe at how much better it looks. I also really appreciated Alex's patience with my flip flopping on paint colors. I would absolutely use their service's again and have already recommend them to other's.

Alexander Johnston came out to my home to do an exterior paint and interior garage paint job. Prior to them, I got a quote from another painting and roofing company who quoted me a high amount without really seeming to care about giving me a thorough rundown of their processes. When Adam came out, I was impressed with his professional conduct and his willingness to explain what I was to expect from his crew in terms of prep work, paint, repair, etc. He quoted me a very fair price, so I booked them straight away. His crew worked for at least 2 1/2 days and the outcome speaks volumes of their quality of work. They were also very easy to communicate with, friendly, and eager to get the job done right; qualities which I very much appreciated. I recommend them to any one looking for a wonderful painting company.

I received 4 estimates from various search engines. All of the bids were all within $50 of each other leaving me with my gut feeling on the right company to go with and I ended up with them. Here's why - They were the only company from the beginning that explained the bottom portion of the home would be sealed with extra attention, some trim pieces that had gone bad would be replaced and the top vents of my home color matched as well. From the prep work to the final walkthrough, they make sure you the customer are completely satisfied no questions asked!

Great family company with great people assisting in the process. My family and I made the right choice and it's got the neighbors talking.

I hired Alexander Johnston to pain my house and I am very happy with the decision. My house had not been painted in a long time and had faded in the brutal Arizona sun. I am also getting ready to sell the house, so I wanted it to look good from the curb. I got quotes from three different companies and decided to choose this one due to their honesty and the scope of their work. The quote they gave me was reasonable and I liked dealing with a family business. They responded very quickly to the request for a quote. They took pictures of the area that they were going to address. I meet up with them later to start the project and they went over what they were going to do and started to pressure wash the house as well as areas that I did not ask them to do, but benefitted from the wash. We were racing the rain for that week and upon my coming home on Monday, they had already painted the trim of the house and masked off the rest of the house. The next day they painted the body of the house and sealed the front brickwork of my house. Even with the impending rain, they finished the rest of the work on that day. It was good as the following days it rained non-stop.

This is a great organization to work with and you cannot go wrong in selecting them to pain your home.

I found this family owned business on yelp a couple of weeks ago. I had not been hit up by the HOA, but the house I bought in March looked like it had not been painted since 2001 when it was built.

The company only uses Dunn Edwards paint (required by my HOA), did an excellent job painting, fixed stucco cracks on my built in bbq, caulked/repaired stucco on the house, replaced my garage door side seals, caulked/painted the piping and vents on the roof, and cleaned up nicely.

I would definitely recommend this family to anyone!!

Adam and his crew did such an exceptional job on our house! We were blown away by his level of professionalism and hired him the day we met him. Our house needed stucco repairs and a ton of TLC after baking in the AZ heat for almost a decade and Adam jumped right in, took the time to explain what he and his crew could do for us and as he found problems (like our stucco from the builder being poorly done on one side of our house) helped to find solutions to make sure our house was better than new. It's so hard to find a company anymore that truly cares about the work they do or to even have decent customer service, and Alexander Johnston knocked this out of the park. If you are looking to get your house painted seriously look no further!

Everything about this family painting company is great.  From the start, they made getting a quote easy and had perfect communication throughout.  We had to work through rain during the week, but the crew kept us up-to-date and finished as soon as they could.  After everything was completed, they followed up to make sure we were happy and delighted - I would definitely recommend Alexander Johnston for your painting needs!

I've had my house about 4 years. The paint & siding had some issues. It increasingly became weathered, chipping paint etc. I found AJ paint from Yelp. Everyone was very professional & kind. They were very prompt & responded quickly. It makes a huge difference. You can see Before & After pictures.

I live out of state and am so impressed! Quick to reply, he went to give me an estimate on my Tempe/ASU area home the same day that I requested help on Yelp! The bid came on the spot and was reasonable for doing the full exterior and a few interior rooms. The communication was excellent via text and we agreed to move forward. Here it is a week later and the job is complete, I did a down payment via venmo, and final payment upon completion, also through venmo. So convenient, responsive, and outstanding job. Also, I have 3 college age ladies living in the home and they felt very comfortable having them around. Highly recommend!

Can't say enough about what a positive experience this was! We had the whole interior of our house repainted. The work was done beautifully, in a timely fashion, and at a very reasonable cost. The company is responsive, books the work to fit your timeframe, and provides outstanding customer care. Will definitely use them again when it's time for exterior paint.

We hired Alexander Johnston to paint a month after we bought our first home. The crew was on time, fast, and thorough. The members of the crew were all very professional, friendly, and helpful. They were able to answer all of the questions we had and went out of their way to make sure the colors we wanted were compliant with our HOA standards. (Thank goodness they thought of that! As first time homeowners, we hadn't even considered the HOA!) We are so pleased with how our home turned out! It's 20 years old, but it looks brand new and beautiful. I hired Alexander Johnston to paint my backyard block wall and I'm very pleased. They came out quickly and gave me a very reasonable estimate and even came own a bit more to beat the lowest estimate I had. They came out the very next day to get started. They power washed, repaired several areas, primed and painted the fence and even took care of a couple stucco walls in the back. Everything looks great! I'll be calling them to give me an estimate on the house next year.

Showed up on time, did what they were supposed to and brought my old tired house exterior back to life.  Quality of the work excellent and he and his crew even repainted my garage door at no extra charge when I didn't like the color.  Left the job site clean as could be after they were done.

They meticulously prepped my house and painted according to my specifications. Great communication with Nevada-- all around nice guy too. My only regret was my color choices-- that's totally on me. Still, I received impressive workmanship and treatment throughout the project. Might also be worth mentioning that their pricing and warranty are the best out there!

A great family owned painting company. I would not hesitate to work with them again. They made it very easy for my house to get painted.  I had windows installed before the house was painted and Alex and family was very willing work with me to get the house painted after the windows where installed. I had three different quotes so glad I went with this one. I would recommend them to anyone.

Really love the work they did! Fast response from my request a quote. Tell me straight out what they are going to do with the price they quote for me. Informing me with pictures for the progress of the job since I am not be able to be there. Also send me pictures after they finished. I can't believe I hired someone and finished the job without me even meet them. Now, they are on my next paint project. Can't wait to see! Will definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

Adam went above and beyond expected service! He was very friendly and responsive and I really enjoyed working with them. They have a great attention to detail (necessary when painting my interior with hardware all still on) and my house looks amazing!!

Al and his son Adam are a great team!  They answered all my questions with detailed knowledge and patience, and then delivered great service.  When researching a company to paint my pool deck Al was the only person who answered every question and took the time to explain the process in detail.  Adam then prepared and painted our beat up pool deck to make it look new again.  Appreciated all their hard work and attention to detail.  If you are looking for a painter you would be a fool to look anywhere else.

An awesome job at a fair price.  We had our master bedroom and bathroom painted a nice gray color and it looks great.  When we are ready for the living room, kitchen and hall to get painted we will be calling on these guys again. We had a quote from a big name painter and it was 2.5x what we just paid, so we are glad we found a small local business to earn our business and they did just that

Alexander and his sons (family owned business) were always very quick to reply and happy to accommodate in any way.  They brought me sample colors, painted samples on the house, and did a final walk through with touch ups as necessary.  They wanted to ensure I was 100% satisfied with their work, and I was.  Their pricing was also very reasonable.  I highly recommend!

I needed to get my house in shape to sell. I thought all I needed was a garage touch up and some paint on the patio. These guys did a full walk through, pointed out a bunch of things that buyers would want done, and included it in the initial quote because the amount of paint they had to buy was going to leave them with enough extra to do everything. I work in business as a manager, and you don't see service like that very often. #aboveandbeyond

We love the Johnston family! We hired them a few years ago to do the outside of our home after my parents recommended them. They were considerate, well priced and did a great job! I have recommended them to friends ever since. We recently moved and wanted to change the color of our huge entryway. We, of course, called Alex. Again he gave us a great price. This time I had more communication with his son, Nevada, and was very impressed by him too. He was great about communicating with me and making sure my expectations were met. I will be using this company again in the future for all of my paint jobs and strongly recommend you do too!
