Hector and his crew are A+ gold. We first worked with Hector in November 2019 when he remodeled our small backyard space for the dogs. His crew installed sod, gravel and a few shrubs as well as an entire irrigation/sprinkler system that led from our from yard around the whole house to the back to ensure we got freshwater to our lawn before it hit the water softener. When a leak sprung due to a faulty part, Hector stopped by same day to fix the leak and make it right.
Over a year later, March 2021, we brought Hector back to install a dog run in our side yard, which included replacing a faulty wooden gate with a block wall, and installing an iron gate at the other end. It came out beautiful, as expected.
Hector prices fair, communicates well and often, and answers the many questions we always have for him. We'll certainly come back again for our next project!

We LOVED working with Hector and his team on our new front patio! After shopping around and chatting with referrals from friends and family, we were a little disgruntled because all of the quotes came in pretty high - way more than we had budgeted for our 'simple' front patio job. So, I opened my handy dandy Yelp app and requested a quote from a few different highly rated landscapers. Hector replied immediately and was at our house within 48 hours to see the yard and give an accurate quote. He was incredibly professional and we immediately trusted him with our landscaping project needs.

His quote came in right at our budget, so we said YES! Lets do it. We had the project scheduled within 3 weeks of his initial visit, which unfortunately put it right in the middle of July. We felt so bad that they were working in the heat but don't fret, we kept them hydrated with lots of Powerade!

The project consisted of laid pavers for a walkway and patio, a rock border along the patio and house, and plants with irrigation. They had the job done within 4 days and it is all that we had dreamed of and more. {See before & after photo!} We'll definitely use Hector and his team for future landscaping projects. Most importantly, we can't wait for the weather to cool down so that we can sit outside and enjoy our gorgeous front patio! :)

Had a bad irrigation valve and did a request a quote. Hector responded and followed up, was able to get time scheduled. Hector came out gave me a good quote and was able to fix it and make some slight adjustments so it'd be easier to service in the future!

So far I say great service. Hector arrived on schedule surveyed my yard today and discussed options for my landscaping. No pressure sales tactics used. Looking forward to receiving itemized quote.

Received the quote as promised from Hector then compared to two different companies quote.  Neither of the other companies compared. Plus one of the two was shady and incorrectly measured by 400 feet.

Anyway Hector and team started work today and it's looking good so far .

Hector and his crew from Nevarez Landscape Services just finished up an extensive landscaping/hardscape update to our backyard.  To begin with, I received 4 quotes from different landscaping companies in the Valley. Hector's quote was the most detailed providing an itemized list of the proposed work.  The quote not only allowed us to compare apples to apples against other quotes, but also provided an agreed to scope of work that we could both work off of and check against as the project progressed.

Even before starting any of the work, Hector went through all the specifics of the projects with us and integrated all input and recommendations given by us.  Throughout the different stages of the project, the crews cleaned up the site every day prior to leaving. Hector incorporate feedback along the way and took the initiative to address any issues that came up.

The results are beautiful.  Everything was done beyond expectations.  The crew's work was meticulous and the results are seen in the outcome our new patio and landscaping.

We called 6 Landscapers. 3 showed up to give bids. Hector was one of them. I got a line by line detailed description of proposed work. That list was somewhat amended and was discussed in full..again. Day number one started with a walkthrough of the items on the list. Then, the dirt began to move with a crew (lead by Hector's Father) that were here to work. 10:00am-5:00pm everyday like clockwork. Amazing job. Amazing crew. Amazing, professional company lead by a hardworking, thoughtful owner and son!

We had them put in a paver pad in our backyard. Hector provided us with such excellent service we wound up having them landscape our front yard as well. Hector responded in a very speedy fashion to every question and or change we made. Hector and his crew were amazing , work was completed on time, quality was exceptional and the price was more than fair! We are in the Estrella Mountain Ranch community and the crew travelled over an hour to get here and were always on time. Every night the crew cleaned up and were ready for the next day.Hector delivered the pavers as promised and made numerous cuts to create a patio and walkway around the pool. Hector also relocated sprinkler lines and brought in PVC piping for protection. Great Value and Great work Hector !

I wish I had taken a before photo. Hector and his crew are incredible. I  thought my 31 year old oleander would need a crane to remove, but these guys demolished my whole front yard and prepared the irrigation system in one day. A beautiful porch and wall were built in a few days. He did not make me feel bad about asking for a revision, and that was done perfectly. Do yourself a favor and get a quote if you too want to get Yard if the Month!

Hector and Navarez landscaping was great throughout the whole process! We had a bunch of pavers done in our backyard including putting veneers over our existing patio. We received multiple quotes and Hector was in my opinion the only one who came prepared and really gave us ideas for what we could do. He spent time discussing options rather than just taking measurements and leaving. I also appreciated his very detailed quote he wrote up and gave us (some of the other companies were not as specific/detailed). He was also willing to drop us off samples to help us in our decision on colors. Not to mention they seemed to have the most competitive pricing which is a definite plus! Our project did get slightly delayed however Hector notified us well in advance as he learned this may be the case. Overall great company and we will definitely use again for our future landscape needs

Hector and his crew were great! After having a few others come out to give some bids, Hector came up with one that was fair and exactly what we had described to him. We went over different options in pavers, gravel, and which plants to put in. When it came time to start, Hector and his crew showed up right on time and ready to work. It was impressive to see how fast and efficient they all worked. The job was scheduled to take 5 days, but they did it only 4!! Hector made sure everything was exactly how we had wanted it. We look forward to using him and Nevarez Landscaping & Construction for future projects.

Héctor is very very professional ! He came out to our house quoted us and did a phenomenal job with the estimate! Would extremely recommend!!! He isn't pushy listens to your needs and doesn't add any extra items in the quote.

I initially reached out for a new irrigation system. Which I had been shopping for for over a month. I had interviewed 5 other companies. Hectors ideas & bid was the best. Hector listened very closely to what I was saying about my irrigation needs & ended up offering to move a valve box that was taking up valuable space near my garden. Then he offered to install (at a reasonable price pavers for my garden ) . I could not be more happy how things came out. Next he gave ideas to replace the stones that I had chairs and small tables sitting in with custom pavers. I always thought because of the irrigation it had to stay stone. The great part of getting all this work done at once was he was able to run a sleeve under my new patio when the new irrigation was installed. It was 115-120 when this crew worked & never do they complain. I don't even know how they do it! Of course with projects nothing goes perfect, however their customer service is a 10 plus so anything that needs to be fixed or adjusted gets fixed. This job was completed in august & I have had hector back to add drips for some new trees I added. He answered right away & happily & easily came back to help adjust my new system. You just don't find customer service like this very often. Thank you again to the entire crew who transformed my backyard to a beautiful oasis!!!

I totally stood this guy up for our appointment on accident. He was super punctual, and super professional in his messaging. I'm hoping to get him back to my house.

Well, Hector did a thorough job of estimating our home new house Landscaping. Came out measured, took pictures, was friendly. Took about a week to get the estimate, I did ask for a few changes that may have delayed the estimate. The estimate price was Very high. So much so that we could not consider to have the work done. I'm sure they do a great job if you use them but too expensive for our budget.

The person who came out was nice enough but he never followed through with an estimate.

We can't say enough about Manuel and Hector's work on our landscaping.  Hector worked with us on refining a design we had in mind, along with providing advice on plantings and materials.  He was professional and timely in keeping appointments, providing cost estimates, and a timeline of scheduling and completion of work (started ahead of schedule and finished on time, btw).  Hector was on-site daily to answer any questions and discuss any issues that came up, and always offered solutions.  Manuel (Hector's father), was also on-site every day, directing work by their crew and making sure things were done to his standards.  Our brick patio in the front yard was designed with a organic shape, requiring that slim, narrow pie-shaped brick had to be fashioned so that all bricks would fit together neatly.  Manuel did the cutting himself and was exacting in their placement.  Our patios, front and back are beautiful.  Along with our patio, they arranged for Manuel's brother to fabricate our steel fence with a spring gate at the sidewalk, and a rolling gate at the driveway right next to the front porch - exactly what we wanted.  Although, we lost a few plants in the first few months, that's to be expected, and Hector came out and replaced them per the guarantee.  We've been very happy with the results and regularly get compliments on our yard from people passing by.  Landscaping is a big investment, of course, and we did a lot, but it was well worth it considering that we added living space, security and comfort to our little house.  Definitely contact Nevarez Landscaping for your home.

We conducted our second major landscaping project with Hector (our backyard this time). Once again, his crew was fast, efficient, and incredibly detailed! The end product was much better than I had envisioned. There was a mistake on the end of the local nursery and Hector promptly worked with the nursery to fix the problem. Communication with Hector is excellent. He is straightforward and honest with pricing and schedule.

Words can not express our gratitude to Hector and his family. We had our backyard done in December and we have used it everyday. Our son loves running around on the grass  and we love the low maintenance. We highly recommend Naverez landscaping and will be using them in the future.

I cannot say enough about Nevarez Landscaping. Hector and his crew are real pros. I found Nevarez on Yelp while thinking of redoing our backyard. The plan was simple. Stone, irrigation, edging and sod.

Of the over half dozen companies I contacted for quotes Hector was the only one to came prepared on the initial meeting. Most other companies at least came, others did not. Of those who came most gave us a guesstimate without taking any measurements. Others came and asked to come back and measure. This is extremely frustrating when taking time out of your day.

Hector came on time, prepared to measure and had me a formal estimate in 48 hours. The estimate came in right in line with what we were looking for. After reviewing the estimate we discussed the cost and he was more than happy to address any concerns I had, as well as work with us on the cost. We knew early on in the process what it would cost, when it would start and when it would end. All of which were right on the money when all said and done. Hector was patient and met with me daily during the process to ensure everything was up to our standards.  He was able to find creative solutions to problems other companies told me could not be solved. The quality of the work was top notch and the entire process made me feel comfortable and was entirely enjoyable.  The process was so good in fact that we are having Nevarez replace an old worn out RV gate and also landscape our entire front yard. very easy to work with Hector and his dad and the whole crew for that. i knew exactly what i wanted done and I had a time limit that others could not meet. hector came out said they could start the next week and was done by the end of the week putting me ahead of schedule.

I would like to have provided a review based on the services rendered, but this company failed to show up as planned. I was never contacted thereafter. Clearly my business did not matter. Extremely poor customer service.

These guys are great! Incredibly professional, quick, and clean! We had them do about 4 days worth of work in the back yard and they completed it in 2! Hector and his guys were extremely punctual and reliable! They were working from 7am until 5pm in the dead of heat to ensure they completed the job as quickly and efficiently as possible.  Hector was very respectful and honest! While many other companies tried to rip us off, Hector worked with us on the price and his price was inexpensive from the start. I highly recommend these guys!!

Got a quote from this company and it was three times as expensive as the one I ended up using for landscaping. Way too expensive!

Hector and his Dad, Manuel are the best. On time, friendly and always come back to my house for little things like changing the timers on the landscape lights. Highly, highly recommend them.

Nevarez landscaping just completed a project for my neighbor and myself in which they constructed a walkway made of pavers. They also reengineered an irrigation system. Hector Nevarez was very professional in assisting us with selection of pavers and with blue prints for our home owner's association. The project was completed early despite rainy conditions. His father and crew were a pleasure to work with and we were very pleased with a job well done.

I highly recommend Nevarez landscaping for any project you want to do. I hired Nevarez Landscaping for my backyard. I bought a new house so I needed the whole backyard landscaped. I contacted several companies for bids. Hector stood out among all the others because of his professionalism, responsiveness, knowledge, and pricing. I will never use anyone other than Hector and his team again. They got everything done in under 3 days, and I was kept in the loop the whole time.

Hector also went above and beyond when he heard about a problem we were having with the company that did our front yard. We had a leak in a pipe that a different company (one chosen by the home builder) put in for our front yard landscaping. They said it was under warranty, and they would fix it. However, they kept sending people out but it never got fixed. Hector stepped in and fixed the problem at no charge while they were working on the backyard. It just shows what kind of person he is and what kind of company Nevarez is. You will not be disappointed if you choose Hector and his team for your yard!

Hector and his team are outstanding.  They did a fantastic job of turning my eye sore backyard into a thing of beauty.  Great communication and a fantastic pride in the work.  We couldn't be more pleased.  Highly recommend.

Hector and his crew went above and beyond to transform our backyard landscape.  They installed a new sprinkler system throughout , planted sod, removed 25 year old bougainvillea that made a mess in the pool and replanted beautiful new shrubs.  They also built a retaining wall and a new decorative wall and trimmed everything.    They are the hardest working group of guys I've ever seen.  They took care of every detail and did work we didn't even expect.  Hector came out a few days after the job was complete to make sure the sprinklers were working and I understood how to program the new timer. At one point during the digging, a small vine had to be removed.  We were sad to see it go but the next day Manuel (Hector's father and the foreman of the crew) showed up with a brand new vining plant which he planted in the same spot after the sprinkler line was placed.  These guys are the best.  I cannot say enough about they're work ethic and professionalism and I will, without a doubt, use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for quality landscape work!

My third and final comments barring something extraordinary, good or bad, happening.  While routine service of our irrigation system is not part of our monthly contract, we do have Nevarez repair any problems we have.  Even though I realize they don't test the system monthly, it would be nice if they paid a little more attention to the health of the plants they maintain.  And sometimes I have to remind them to do trimming that is missed.

But in spite of my nitpicking, they do a far better job than the last company we used and are always pleasant to work with.  No missed appointments and they are always accommodating if we have an issue that can't wait.  And if they come off schedule to take care of irrigation repairs or new plantings, they will still often clean up debris even though I don't expect it.

In addition to trimming and irrigation, we have also had some work done on our landscape lighting and fountain, and I'm sure we'll have more projects to come.

Hector and the team did a great job on our patio pavers! They came on the day promised, worked hard and completed the project in just ONE day! Sometimes you take a risk with a new company and crew, but I don't regret working with them one bit. I would recommend them to ANY of my family or friends for ANY landscaping or pavers project!

Hector and the Nevarez team were the best experience with landscaping work I have had in Phoenix. They were great to communicate with, efficient, friendly, professional and did really beautiful work. They went above and beyond in listening and discussing a variety of different options for my space until we reached the right price and exactly the patio and planters I had in mind. They were also attentive to my needs throughout, checking in at key moments to make sure that everything was developing as I envisioned it. I would highly recommend them and will be calling them again next time another project is within the budget!

We had Hector & his father come out for one of our three estimates for ~500-600 square feet of pavers, 2 tons of rocks, and sprinkler system reconfiguration. They were prompt and on time for this appointment, then they blew us away with their pricing, so much so that I cancelled the last of the estimators. I had done my share of research on pavers prior to meeting with Hector and even still he was quite informative and understanding of our desires, encouraging, and gave great advice even though we had not agreed to use his company yet. Nevarez Landscaping also was able to start on the project ~1.5 weeks after the initial estimation with a 4 day completion timeline. Of course, they ended up finishing in 3 days. The work is guaranteed and this was proven when I had a small issue with the sprinkler system a few days after the project was finished, Hector came back with his crew and fixed the issue quickly (less than 1 hr) and left us as very happy customers. Their work is beautiful and we have been incredibly happy to have our new patio, steps to our workshop, and rock landscaping around our grass.

My wife and I had some very specific requests with regard to which plants we wanted and Hector delivered all on accounts.  He even took the time to explain the finer points of using my irrigation control including how and when to water the plants already in place in the front yard in addition to those he added to the back.

We recently had Hector over to give us an estimate on sod, pavers, & irrigation for our backyard. I had hector and his crew move some flagstone and put pavers under a gazebo, I was very happy with the result. They were very knowledgable, experienced and helpful with the design. I posted a before and after of the yard in the photos above.

I am truly impressed by Hector and his men.  First they do excellent work.  Hector always and the work is wonderful.  They go back over the lawn when mowing is finished and blow and clean the deck and walkways where mowing clippings have fallen.  Next they check all all the irrigation nozzles to make sure that all is working correctly.  Then he adjust the timing of the water system.  He weeds the flower bed and trims the shrubs if needed.
Such a very pleasant change from what I used to have.  
Further, Hector is a very pleasant young man who is just a good nice person.

These guys are meticulous. Hector even speaks English!!!! Hector always answers the phone or calls you back ASAP they have done everything for me from fixing my grandmas pond & cleaning up a mess of tree pods (that I definitely didn't want to do) to coming and just picking up and hauling off my Xmas tree twice to a large back yard cleanup. They're probably not the least expensive if you literally just want your lawn mowed...not sure if they do full landscape projects but for most anything you can call these guys & they're great. They're just busy enough that you know they're good but quick enough they can always be there in a couple of days.

Our yard was blah. It needed help. Hector and his family transfromed it into nice! They installed sod and granite with a a paver border in the backyard, seeded the patchy front, redid the irrigation, installed plants and built a fire pit so we can enjoy one of our favorite neighborhood activities. We met with Hector on December 20, 2014, to discuss our potential landscaping project.  At that time, Hector said he would send us an estimate within a couple of weeks.  On January 20, 2015, Hector emailed us to say he would have our estimate finalized by the following week.  We told him to forget about it, as we had contracted with another landscaper.

I was recommended by a friend who owns several rental properties in Scottsdale.  They did his landscaping on the penthouse unit at the Optima where my friend lives.  I couldn't  believe how beautiful everything was.  Hector did the design and everything else.  I have used their services for myself for about 3 years now.  Hector always puts out 110 percent effort.  He is on time, does everything he says he will do, and does it well. He, his dad, and their staff are all very professional and efficient  I work in a large school district  where I routinely recommend him to my friends and co-workers.

perfect...could not be more pleased...one call to hector..gave me an estimate that afternoon..set up a work schedule...sent photos...they did a fabulous job..no fuss no hassle..i called about five of the top landscapers on this site...they didn't return my calls..expected me to spec the job for them..or just did not show up..my only reget is that they are not here in santa fe, where i live..could really use them...if you are looking for a landscaper, that you can trust..look no further..love you, guys...

I called Hector after reading a few reviews here-he made an appointment to come out the next morning at 7:30 (he showed up at 7:25 - for those who have waited for service people you know how rare this is! ) He and his dad spent a lot of time walking and talking about my projects and gave me a line item bid on the spot. He came back when scheduled and completed the job on time.  These guys are GREAT and I will continue to work with them.

My husband and I first met Hector and his dad when they were landscaping the front and back yard of a house down the block from where we live.  I saw the yard before and it was bad...Really Bad. The new yard was awesome.  We asked him to give us a quote for landscaping our home which we had just purchased.  He asked lots of relevant questions (like what types of plants we liked and whether we wanted low water use or not). He came back with a fantastic plan for our yard.  The work was even better than we expected.  Nevarez Landscaping will ALWAYS do a great job.  We hadn't expected him to provide maintenance down the road but the yard was so beautiful that we decided to keep him for monthly maintenance as well.  Three years later he is still in charge of our back yard.  He keeps it looking fresh and beautiful all the time.

I've done business with Nevarez Landscaping and Construction, twice now. I am very pleased with their work. The father-son family owned business, take great pride in their work. They have a great staff, as well. They were really helpful with input and ideas, when we told them what we were thinking of doing, with our backyard. The father really impressed me, during our first meeting. He was so excited and full of energy, and ideas. They were very reasonable, and happy to take our business, despite our budget. They gave us so many options of things to do, within our budget. They installed our sod, sprinklers, drip lines, border, and built us a wonderful retaining wall. They added extra drip lines to our planter area, without our request and at no additional cost. They gave us a reasonable warranty on the work and plants......even extended our plant warranty, when we were unsure that they would take, due to the timing of our project. It's been six months, since the project was completed. I called about some advice on a problem I was having with a leaking valve. Hector was quick to respond. He advised me of my options and even suggested a better quality model of what I needed.  He worked with me on a price that we both thought was fair. He scheduled the job for the very next day, despite him having to work on another project. Even though he was unable to keep the initial agreed upon start time, he made contact to schedule a later time, and arrived shortly afterwards. Well, the job took longer than either one of us thought it would, but Hector and his worker wanted to make sure it was done right. After all that, Hector was professional enough to look into a couple of areas that I was concerned about, regarding my first project. He was attentive and resourceful. I highly recommend this family owned, father-son team. I would definately call and consider them for any future projects. I very much enjoy the time spent out back. I love to show off the backyard to family and friends, when they are over for partys and bbq's.
