Mayer and Sons Builds a lot of patios of all levels all over the valley. We can do anything and do it quickly and do it well, but we specialize and are the valleys leaders in custom big beam structures you've probably seen our work and not even known it. We can do high end hidden connections Amish style connections or use beautiful wrought iron ties. The sky is truly the limits.

Established in 1986.
Mayer and Sons Has been a Family owned and operated business for over 30 years. We have built over 3,000 standard patios more than 1,000 custom gazeebos as well as thousands of custom decks. We have the experience, creativity and drive to get any job done.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

Hello my name is Robert and my wife and I have been in Business for 28 years providing quality construction and carpentry to the greater valley area. We are licensed in the state of Arizona, and take every job we do seriously. We have worked in every part of the valley on every type and scale of job from the houses on camel back mountain to the trailers of Apache Junction. Each job we do is done by us and not a hired crew. We take pride in our building and personal service and invest in the the integrity of a personally managed and accomplished job. We believe in quality craftsmanship and each job is undertaken with seriousness and pride, no matter the size. We are located in the far east valley in Apache Junction at the base of the Goldfield and Superstition Mountains, but we do work all over the valley of the sun. The result of my Complaint filed with the AZ State ROC resulted in Mayer and Sons' Construction getting a Suspension and Fine. Now, that the hearing and ruling has come down, my next step will be to file a claim with the Registrar of Contractor's Recovery Fund, to hopefully be reimbursed for the price of the replacement French doors and installation.

This may at one time been a good business. But now the daughter and son in law have it. They made a great first impression and were very good at returning calls/texts. Then they did not do the work as agreed. Took a large deposit and then wanted to not guarantee their work. Run from them and go elsewhere and you will be happier. We basically got ripped off by them. Sometimes you know you are in trouble when folks attempt to leverage religion to get business.

Bob and his son (and crew) put in a beautiful wood patio cover in our backyard. They were great, did an amazingly professional job and it looks even better than expected. Absolutely love it and thought they were terrific! I would definitely recommend them!

Robert is an honest guy, during the job I came to trust his judgement and integrity. I had a pretty large project that involved removing 40 ft. of roof, reframing the exterior walls, rebuilding a large parapet wall, and framing for 11 new windows. His workers were careful to do a good job. As we were opening up several unknown wall areas, we had a couple inevitable surprises and Robert was clear in showing me the issues and working out a solution with me. I decided to expand the scope of their job in process, having them install over 500 sq ft of 1x6 wooden ceiling and they did an excellent job. I recommend using him for any job within his scope of work. When I asked him to quote some additional jobs, if he does not feel comfortable doing it, he will tell you (example- he does no inside the house work, only exterior and when I asked him if he would build me a new BBQ/fire pit, his answer was that he would build a trellis over the BBQ, but he does not do BBQs). A word of caution, Robert is a very good framer, but on a fairly complex project like mine, I had to do a lot of coordination of other subs. Robert is not a full blown general contractor for multi sub type projects, but he will tell you his limitations up front.
