My name is Jeff Lawson, I am the president of Lawson Family Plumbing. I has been a plumber for most of my adult life. My hobbies are plumbing and staying away from crack (plumbers crack) but seriously I like to go fishing, prospecting for gold, camping, and most importantly hang out with my family. I was born in Dayton Ohio and raised in Phoenix, AZ. I live in the East Valley with my wonderful wife and our two beautiful daughters ages 16 and 18.

We had an after-hours emergency where two of our toilets were leaking at the base so we knew the wax rings had been compromised, mostly likely due to a sewer backup of some sort.
I called Lawson and right away a person answered and took my info, a description of my issue, etc. Within 10 minutes, Nicholas called telling me he was on his way. He gave me an ETA and arrive right on time.
Nicholas not only found and fixed the problem (major blockages in our sewer line), he also replaced one of the wax rings (I told him I'd do the other one since it's a not-too-difficult DIY project). He was professional, courteous, patiently answered all my questions, explained what he was doing and why the entire time, and even cleaned up after himself before leaving.
I was charged a fair price for excellent, timely service from a plumber who takes pride in his work and is great at his job. Highly recommend Lawson!

With our issues with the faucet having a weak stream and he said all we needed was an aerator and didn't need a new sink. He said they can't do it but he did remove our aerators from our 5 sinks which he needed a tool for,and didn't charge us for that and the price he quoted me to replace the 2 shower heads was EXTREMELY reasonable. I was very happy dealing with him and he even suggested we go to Ace hardware as it's cheaper than Lowe's to get the Aerators. Who does that? He didn't try to sell me a new sink when it wasn't necessary. Great job Tanner and Lawson Family Plumbing 5 out of 5.
Had Lawson install a tankless water heater about a year ago and that technician recommended yearly flush and descaling. Given Gilbert's hard water we made sure to stay on top of that. This tech was friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Impressed again with the speedy service, didn't have to wait weeks or months, and showed up promptly towards the beginning of the window we were given. Will continue to rely on Lawson for all my plumbing needs.
DANGER!!! Lawson Plumbing SET OUR HOUSE ON FIRE.
In June 2020, we hired Lawson plumbing to install an outdoor shower. Through complete negligence, they set our house on fire and absolutely ruined the next two years of our lives.
While soldering pipes in our walls, their employee caught the insulation on fire. However, all he did was pull some insulation out of the wall and put the drywall back in place. He told us the job was done, took our payment, and left. He did absolutely nothing to prevent the fire from smoldering, reigniting, or spreading, such as putting any water or fire retardant on it. He also DID NOT TELL US ABOUT IT.
The fire smoldered in the walls for hours. By the time my wife and I noticed and called 9-1-1, it required extensive efforts from the fire department to extinguish it. The fire, water, and primarily smoke damage to our house was catastrophic. We had to go to a hotel that night with nothing but the clothes on our back.
At the time of the fire, we had a 1-year-old daughter and my wife was 5-months pregnant. My wife's parents were set up to host their grandkids (cribs, toys, etc.), so two days later my wife and daughter left on a 6am flight to live with her parents out of state for more than two months while I stayed in a local hotel and worked on the house cleanup and restoration. I did not see my family for two months.
We then all had to live in a rental house for two more months while I was under constant pressure to try to complete the house cleanup and restoration before my wife went into labor. Our house restoration / construction contractor was great, and although we managed to move back in six days before our 2nd daughter was born, our house was still not fully restored. It was two more months before our bedroom furniture arrived, so my wife had to sleep on a mattress on the floor despite having just given birth and co-sleeping with our newborn. We also had no living room furniture for more than a year before our replacement sectional was finally delivered.
The fire (primarily the smoke damage) destroyed almost everything we owned, including all our clothes, kids' toys, most of our furniture, and countless sentimental items that could never be replaced. The effort to replace everything was monumental. We had massive spreadsheets with thousands of items that we had to replace one a time and submit individual receipts for to get reimbursed. It took nearly two full years to complete, and the insurance payments for the fire claim totaled more than $370,000.
The night of the fire, a manager from Lawson Plumbing called me. It first seemed like he just wanted to apologize for the fire and offer to help, but he kept asking us not to file an insurance claim. He continued to call me repeatedly for the next two days always asking me to not file the claim. (They wanted to just give us some cash to try to cover what we needed and avoid the insurance hit.) He also said the owner of the company really wanted to apologize to us personally and was going to call us and asked me to take the call.
However, the damage was so severe that we of course had to file a claim with our insurance. As soon as I told him that we had filed the claim, I never heard from him or anyone at Lawson again. We never heard from the owner at all.
When my insurance was trying to subrogate to Lawson's insurance company, they repeatedly tried denying the claim and accused another contractor of starting the fire who had nothing to do with it. The evidence and facts were clear though and eventually they had no choice but to accept the claim. However, Lawson's Insurance company then tried denying significant additional expenses. We had to hire an attorney and spent several thousand dollars in attorney fees requesting payment and threatening to sue before they finally paid the final $75,000+ costs of the claim.
Lawson Plumbing set our house on fire and took nearly two years of our lives from our family. And from the moment they found out that we filed an insurance claim, they never once contacted us again to apologize, check in, or anything.
We are finally restored and past this horrible situation, but I cannot possibly explain how terrible, stressful, and damaged our lives have been for the past two years because of Lawson Plumbing.
I have used Laswon Family Plumbing numerous times for my plumbing needs. They are awesome! Very dependable, punctual and have been always there to answer the phone when I need them. Appointments are within a day or two.

In fact, I had Dylan, with Lawson Family Plumbing out yesterday. He ran a line down a clogged drain to unclog, he inserted a hose and nozzle into the drain/pipe and blasts high-pressure water through it to scour out the drain pipes! Great success!!

Meh. The work got done, mostly. I had two bathroom sink fixtures replaced, it took several hours and the plumber (who was a very nice person) did not fully clean up. He finished at around 9pm, but at least he was willing to stay until he was done, but I would have preferred better communication about the timeline.
One of the faucets had a leak after installation, and they did come out same day to fix it, but then the cabinetry was damaged (not by the water, but presumably by the plumber). Finally they did a clean out of the tub, didn't clean up the mess, and the tub still drains slowly.
Total $975
So it wasn't a disaster, but not all that great either...so...meh.
This place is awesome, and Mike was so helpful, professional, and kind. He inspected work and provided a second opinion on plumbing work performed by another company. I made the mistake of letting my home warrantee company send the plumber they wanted and didn't do my research beforehand (that company only had two stars on yelp). Do yourself a favor and just go straight to Lawson Family Plumbing! I have saved this company in my contacts and will be using them exclusively in the future!

Called them for a small leak. The parts must've cost $40. When I found out later the work was done correct I'm happy with it but their rates are way too high not competitive.

We had a second story leak coming through the ceiling on the lower level. Lawson (Kenneth) came right out and he found the issue right away. It was a simple fix but he did the work and didn't even charge us. You just don't find service like this anymore. We are in the Lawson camp 100% going forward. Good communication, even came an hour early. Very professional and quick. Got the job done then stayed around long enough for us to feel confident the drain was free flowing. Provided a receipt with photos of the inside of the pipes. Also suggested some preventative maintenance and what products to use.

Lawson Plumbing came out today to clear out a clog in my half master bathroom and they were done in no time at all. I plan to have them come back to install my bidet attachment and replace my shut off value which was recommended. I would say pricing is on the higher side but they do great work. I like that they email you the invoice and the pic of the work that was performed.
It was time for the filters in my RO system to be replaced, and I had a leaky faucet on the patio. My Lawson plumber arrived on time and fixed everything.

I have to say I have always felt like the costs of plumbing work is highway robbery, and apparently this company does too! Our technician Nick S. came today to take a look at our root problem in out main drain. He got into it with the snake and explained what he was doing, also ran a camera down and showed us that the problem was more extensive than we initially thought. He gave us several different options and pricing, which were WAY Better, than we had expected based on experience with other companies! Needed to have some work done and rembered seeing their Van's around and called to get an estimate done. They set up the estimate appointment for the next day and Sean was great at explaining what would be done. The estimate was emailed to me the same day and scheduled. Sean completed the job in about 4 hrs and we're very happy with the work he did. I would recommend Lawson Plumbing to anyone looking to have plumbing work done.

Lawson Family Plumbing was very helpful and on time. Stephen the plumber that they sent was so nice and courteous. He answered all the questions that we had and most of all took care of our plumbing issue. Definitely will be using Stephen and the Lawson Family plumbing again.
I would give less. Made an appointment and it held to the day. I even confirmed when i called that day. Told me someone was out and on their way. Nope no call no show. Tried calling the next day but said forget it. With service like that why bother. Never again.
My tenant advised of a major plumbing issue late in the day and I chose Lawson because they had great views as well as promoted as 24/7
I made a quick call to them and in less than 2 hours they had a tech at the house. They went over the different possibilities and communicated effectively on what they would need to do to fix it.
John was great! He fixed the problem in no time and gave a thorough explanation of what happened. He also provided a long term fix option. Even with the emergency fee it was super cost effective especially for the amazing response time.
I would highly recommend them for any emergency needs as well as your everyday plumbing needs! I know I'll be using them in the future.
UPDATE: Monday (7-25) Mike from Quality Control reached out to me and Lawson Plumbing has decided to refund us the total amount of our water bill. My family and I thank the company for coming to this decision.

Got this referral on Yelp and was not disappointed. David showed up on time, replaced our garbage disposal and dealt with a leak in our shower faucet. We told him we had company coming in a few days and he was able to get the replacement part and install it before they got here. Will definitely call this company if/when we have plumbing needs in the future.
I had bought my house about 3 years ago. I knew that the water heater was only a year old when I bought the house. I had been doing some research on how to maximize the quality in home appliances and ironically, the water heater is the one item that gets left out the most.
I started to look up companies on yelp and found Lawson Family Plumbing. From reading the reviews, I decided to chose them. Making the appointment was seamless. I received a call from Jake 15 min before he were to arrive. When Jake arrived, he was very professional and kind. He said that since my WH was 4 years old, he would suggest a flush. I agreed to it and off he went to work.
When Jake was done, he informed me that my WH was in good condition and that it was pretty clear. He said that he was actually surprised with how clear it was. I am glad that I had this done, as I know how bad AZ water is. I will definitely use Lawson again. It's nice to know there are still reputable companies out there, that value their work.
This is the second time I've hired Lawson Family Plumbing, and both times they did a great job.
The first time I had a toilet clog and I was cleaning water off the floors at 2:00 am. I asked for estimates on yelp at around 5:00 am, and within a very short time Lawson and one other had answered. I checked the reviews and references on both, and decided to go with Lawson, figuring it would probably be the next day at least. To my surprise, they were here the same day, and it took them about 15 minutes to fix it. The toilet had never worked so well before. Perfect job, and a good price.
So today I had to replace the valve in the toilet tank... 20 years in there you know, and unfortunately, the line under the tank snapped when replacing the valve. Turned off the water to the house (the valve from the wall was corroded, and I was afraid to do anything further for fear there would be problems behind the wall or something if I twisted anything else. There was no question... I called Lawson. John (the same guy as the first time) showed up after he finished the one he was working on, gave us an estimate, which was less than what I was expecting, and had it fixed within about an hour. Same day again! Great job, and friendly service.
Honestly, these people are great. When I called them, Melinda said that they were really booked up, but after looking for just a few seconds she told me John could do it today. They are friendly, understanding, and the prices are in line with what they should be.
Go ahead and call them. You won't be sorry.

We had a leaking water pipe underground outside our home which was connected to one of our spigots. Lawson was able to schedule an in-person estimate the next day and fixed it on the spot. The service was great and although they didn't provide the lowest estimate I know we paid for the value and quality we needed to ensure the issue was fixed properly.
Great customer service ! From scheduling the appointment to the on time arrival, everything went smoothly. The quality if the work and the willingness to go the extra mile these people are pros.
Most places are unwilling to diagnose a problem and actually fix anything. They just start swapping parts, hoping the problem just goes away.
That would have more than I could afford. Everything now works as it should.

Upon inspection it was a faulty o-ring on the connection, it was fixed and when we ask how much it would be the very kind gentleman said NO CHARGE. I was so shocked i had to ask twice. Not only is this a family owned company, it seems they really care for their customers. Such a rarity today. So if possible I would give more than 5 stars. If only all business took such pride in their work and really took exceptional care of their customers. I would highly recommend Lawson Family Plumbing, you have my business for life.
I wish I could say I had such a positive experience as the others who have left reviews. In May 2021, I had their technician come out for a dripping tub faucet, to install a kitchen faucet, and new garbage disposal. He advised me on the faucet and disposal, but said he'd need help on the dripping faucet in the bathroom. He came out again with another technician, and they replaced a part for the tub faucet. He said, this should help... $385 (for the part he said he needed) and still drips the way it did when he walked in the door (twice, I might add).
I called in July letting them know it still dripped. Their scheduler said they'd send out someone more senior. Couple days later, the same technician showed up and wanted another $300 for 2 parts (to hopefully get whatever was causing the drip). He said he had to find the part(s) however, which apparently wasn't easy.
I sent an email through the company's website detailing the entire experience. No call, no email, no text.
To date, I have still never heard anything back. I'm guessing they don't work on mobile homes much, but was a really expensive, negative experience.
When my kitchen faucet needed to be replaced first thing I did was go to Yelp for advice. I don't have a plumber, but Yelp made my experience so flawless it was wonderful. I put in my service request and Yelp sent it to about 6 or 7 plumbers for a quote. Some responded, some didn't. One of the responders was Jason at Lawson Family Plumbing. We talked about the job and I got an estimate. I did my due diligence and got a few other bids.
I liked the way Jason was professional and to the point. It also helped that they had so many 5 star reviews from happy customers. My decision was pretty simple. When the faucet arrived in the mail, I called to schedule my appointment. They fit me in right away. Jason had already entered all my info into his system along with the estimate so scheduling was a breeze.
Fast forward to today. I was given a three hour window of 2-5 pm. Nick called shortly before 2 to tell me he was on the way. Perfect! Nick arrived with his apprentice Paul and they had the job done quickly and efficiently. Very happy with my choice! Thank you Yelp, Jason, Nick and Paul! I HIGHLY recommend Lawson for any and all of your plumbing needs. I now have a plumber!
Robert from Lawson Family Plumbing came out today in scorching heat to check for a main line water leak. He shut off main and showed that the meter read zero flow and also checked house and irrigation system flows so he didn't believe there were any leaks. He said he thought that any incidental surface dampness were flows were from condensation or pressure valve backflow. He recommended against digging down to pipes to physically check unless there was significant puddling and he'd come back to do so if indicated.
We really appreciated his professionalIism instead of just automatically doing the unneeded work for hundreds of dollars. He also gave me guidance on how to flush the hot water heater myself and again saved me a bunch of dollars.
Robert was competent, trustworthy and honest and we'd defintely use him and Lawson Family Plumbing again in the future.
Lawson plumbing was great they were very communicative and were able to get out the next day. The plumber was nice and through with the repair. I'll be using then again for my next plumbing need.
I have no idea if their prices are the best (AKA cheapest) and I don't care. When you find a service provider you can trust, price becomes less relevant. (I think the prices are reasonable, to be fair.)
I just had service from Jason because of a leaky tankless water heater that they installed a few years ago. (He's also the one who replaced the water bib out front when it failed earlier this year.) It was barely out of warranty--of course--but Lawson repaired it for free all the same.
That's why I trust them: they're fair, stand by their work, show up when they say they will, and stick at it until the problem is solved. I've had work take several visits over two days, all with a single charge for the underlying problem. Every plumber I've worked with there has been competent, friendly, and clear.
(In the four years I've owned the house, I've had occasion to use them well over a dozen times on jobs ranging from replacing our entire house's drain system to repairing a fireplace gas leak to a slab leak to installing a tankless water heater to fixing a leak in the front yard to hydrojetting clogs. PRO TIP: get the plumbing video'd when buying an older house from a flipper. PRO TIP #2: don't bother suing a flipper over material lies in the SPDS unless someone got hurt--the lawyer fees can easily dwarf the out-of-pocket expenses for the repairs.)
As another reviewer just pointed out, Lawson Family plumbing isn't exactly hurting for more reviews... but they *consistently* do such great work and having just fixed our issue (for free!), the least I can do is let others know that they are keeping up their reputation for all-around excellence.
A little over two years ago, they installed a water heater for us. The other day, it no longer produced hot water so I reviewed the manual for basic troubleshooting steps. I went through the steps in the manual but it didn't solve the issue. So I reached out to Lawson and Jeff came out to assess it. He reached out to me to see if it was OK to come early and that was helpful for my schedule. After arriving, he spent about 15 minutes troubleshooting it and got it working again. Jeff also gave useful advice and options in case the problem recurs. He may have been at our place for 30 minutes or so, and after all that, he didn't even charge us!
They're obviously not out just to make a quick buck but are building a faithful customer base by doing things in an honest, quality-oriented way. If you're reading this, then count yourself fortunate to have found them!
Where to start. Lawson Plumbing installed a tankless hot water heater in our home about a year ago. They did such an incompetent job that they caused a gas leak. We called the gas company because of the TREMENDOUS smell of gas around the hot water heater and they said that the leak was so dangerous that they shut off gas to our home. We went over 3 weeks in the dead of winter with no heat, no hot water, no dryer, no stove. Lawson Plumbing came out several times and could not find the problem. Finally they came out with an engineer from the company that makes the water heater (Navien). Thank God for that engineer from Navien! He discovered that Lawson had incorrectly installed that line into the hot water heater. He fixed it in less than 5 minutes and no more gas leak. When the Lawson guy (Vic, a supposed manager) and the Navien engineer didn't know I was listening and were closed in our maintenance closet testing the fix to make sure it wasn't leaking gas anymore, I heard the Navien engineer railing against the e Lawson guy for how incompetent their staff were for messing up such a simple install. The Lawson guys kept saying I know. I know. I'm sorry. They both profusely apologized to me. Vic (from Lawson) accepted responsibility and said he would make our not being able to take showers and cook and do laundry in our own home for over a month right. If he had made it right, I would be writing a 5-star review instead of a 1-star review. Long story short (and many unreturned phone calls and emails over an entire year later) we are having to fight them through Better Business Bureau. Yes to Navien water heaters. NO NO NO to Lawson Plumbing. What a nightmare!

I have called Lawson Family Plumbing a couple of times over the last few years. I am always thrilled by their customer service, value, and expertise. They're truly local and family. My most recent job was installing a water softener in a home I just moved into. I went ahead and got another quote from a different company that a friend recommended, as well. That company told me they would have to dig a trench around my entire house in order to install the loop for the softener, and the cost was going to be at least $4K. Mr. Lawson noticed right away that I already had a loop in the garage! They had my water softener installed less than 48 hours later for a much better price. I will continue using this company, and you should too!
Needed shower drain cleaned out as water was starting to back up and a loose kitchen faucet handle fixed. Was able to arrange service in two days. The technician was very polite, came during the 3 hour window that was scheduled and fixed both problems quickly. They had been out to our house several months earlier to change a shower faucet cartridge and again the service was excellent.
Have used this company twice. Each time they were prompt, professional, didn't try to oversell me or talk down to me. Gabriel in particular was patient explaining some of the solutions to my concerns. Would recommend them and him without reservation.

James came out, looked at softener and RO system. Gave me a price for the RO system, said he would test the softener when he came back to change the filters in the RO system, and would have the office call me for an appointment.
A few days went by and I had heard nothing from the office, so I called. Office gal didn't know anything about me or getting service. Said she would call James and have him call me. Still nothing from anyone.
So, why use the family business? Why not just call and say you don't want to provide service to me? How long does that take?
So, I'm moving on!!

We called Lawson Plumbing since we live in Gilbert and they had great reviews. Being family owned was a plus. We just put in a new floor and needed to have our new toilet installed. We had already removed our old toilet and the rusted flange. Everything was clean and ready to go. When we heard the cost we were a little taken back at $525 dollars but we were given a deal at $412. Being we had family coming into town and needed the work done we agreed to pay the $412. I did some research after and that cost across the board seems to be very high. We already purchased our toilet and paid over $200 for it plus a new flange. We thought we would save $ purchasing the parts but were told our flange was not good only to see the plumber had the same one. So he used his flange and double high wax ring. Then had to set in the new toilet which was one piece. He chalked around the base and was finished in an hour. The chalk could of been done better as it's starting to crack already. So far everything works well and there are no leaks. I think the job was way over priced so will make sure to get a couple estimates or do my research prior to agreeing to have the work done when I am questioning the price.

We were having trouble with our toilet in our master bath. It appeared to be clogged and would take hours to drain. We feared it would eventually flood the bathroom. I called Lawson's from a recommendation on Nextdoor. They sent Gabriel right out. He was friendly, professional and went straight to work. He was able to plunge it free in a few minutes. He didn't even charge us as it took such a short time to fix. I will definitely use them again.
They came out to do an estimate, and then never provided the estimate. I contacted them 3 times and each time was promised a response. Very unreliable. Waste of my time.

When they set the finishes and my husband arrived home to a flood- they didn't want to send someone out until the next day. Finally we had a revolving door of people over and I stressed that I wanted this fix to be made a priority. I guess priority should have been defined.
There is so much more I could say but I think the pictures of their workmanship and the timeline of those pictures speak to their efficiency and customer service.

Jake from Lawson family plumbing showed up earlier than appointment time which was great because I had other things to look at. Very personable and friendly answered all my questions. Toilet flange was rotted out, replaced flange, reseated toilet cleaned up everything did a great job. I asked about a reverse osmosis system and Jake said he could install that the same day. Did a great job on everything he did and cleaned up all of the mess. Did all this within 2 hrs. I thought the pricing was far for the work being done. Will use Lawson family plumbing in the future for all my plumbing needs. GREAT JOB!!!!

Kudos to Chris who came to our home when we thought we needed a new garbage disposal. Chris solved the issue very quickly and looked at a couple of other issues too, explaining ways to prevent further problems. Done in 15 minutes! I had a leak in my place of business and I was very worried I would have to close down and wait for the issue to be resolved, but Jason was awesome and was able fix the issue within the time I needed it done and I appreciated that he took the time to answer my questions and make recommendations. I hate to give bad reviews but sometimes something just rubs me the wrong way. Lawson cam out to fix a leaking plumbing install from a year ago. The leak appeared to be a bad sweat joint. There are millions of homes and businesses with copper plumbing with dozens if not hundreds of joints each. There could be 100's of millions of sweat joints that have gone decades without a leak. Ours failed in a year or less, but because I called Lawson just over a year, they charged me $400 to fix their shotty work.
The tech that came out was awesome. He understood the issue and was very apologetic and understanding. His repair looked top notch, time will tell.
Still one would think as rare as a failed sweat joint is, it would have a longer warranty. One would think they stand behind their work a bit more. We recently had an AC put in with a much longer workmanship warranty and its a MUCH more complicated job. If Lawson isn't sure enough of their work to give it a real warranty, then I'm not either. Oh, and that $400 repair, well it's only got a 90 day warranty. Seriously! If the job was done right, it'll still be holding 50 years from now. Not just for 3 months. We've been a customer for nearly a decade, time to part ways.
EDIT: It's obvious that this company takes customer satisfaction very seriously and they did everything necessary to make things right for us. The shoddy original work that was performed on 6/21/18 came with a 2 year warranty on the parts and the labor and they are processing a FULL refund as I write this. They are also issuing a new invoice to reflect the correct warranty information so that we don't have any future problems. It's refreshing to do business with a company that takes prompt action and requires no hassle or extra work to be done on my part. I was given No excuses, No runaround, No snark. Thank you for being accountable & upstanding professionals. In my book, honest mistakes and occasional problems are always forgivable when ultimately the company does the right thing.
Update on my review from today: not 20min after I posted this review the owner called and apologized for his technician leaving a mess on my floor. He said that's not how he wanted his company represented and he wanted to make it up to me. I really was not expecting that at all. We got off the phone and 5 min later someone else called back to schedule our appointment.

Called for a quote and the lady said someone would be by between 2-5. The guy actually showed up before 2 which was awesome. I showed him all the parts that we wanted installed and he proceed to open everything up. Garbage disposal had a bag of parts which he noticed had a broken pipe in it. Nice catch but he said wow that's cool I've never seen this be broken. Who says that.
I finish showing him what else we wanted done and he leaves to calculate quote. He comes back gives quote I say ok I'll think about it and he just leaves. He leaves with out putting anything away!! Everything is just out of the box on the floor.
Contacted 5 plumbers for an estimate to install a water softener loop into my garage in Chandler. Four of the estimates were between $717-$971, EXCEPT Lawson Plumbing which quoted me $3978!

I placed a call for service and was given a window beginning about 90 minutes later. Ten minutes later, Kenneth calls to tell me he can arrive in about 10 minutes. He arrives, fixes our minor problem (no charge), and gives us an estimate to replace our disposal if/when it begins to fail due to some rust. I've found my forever plumber.
When we came back from a trip, our water heater in the garage was leaking into the bedroom on the other side. I called Lawson Family Plumbing based on the yelp reviews. Jake came out right away gave me a quote for a new water heater. I got a second quote to make sure that their quote was competitive, which it was. Nick cane out the following day and installed the water heater in an hour without any problem. No hassle, efficient, and professional. I would call Lawson for any issues with the water heater again. My husband and I thought we had a line break in our bathroom and feared the costly worst.
Because of previous reviews I gave Lawson Family Plumbing a call to have it checked out. The service technician David is very kind and d was a pleasure to meet. We explained what we saw and left him to do what he does best. So here's what I have been doing. I was pointing one shower head towards the wall and the water was running along the edge. My bad! We had a pretty good laugh about that.
So I asked David that because that was a quick fix could he look at the slow draining bathroom sink. Sure he replied and went to grab a bucket while I removed the items under. He discovered that the drain pipe was just clogged with soap and such. Cleaned it out and now it's draining like it should!
The best $65.00 I ever spent to have advise to not point the shower head to the wall and a fast draining sink.

My 90 year old mother-in-law needed a plumber to fix a leaking toilet. She can be very particular and was very concerned about having someone in her home and getting taken advantage of because of her age. We called several big name plumbing companies for quotes based on Yelp reviews. Rob, with Lawson came out on time and gained her confidence immediately with his very friendly, listening and professional style. He addressed all her questions and fixed her toilet within a few minutes. She then asked him to fix her bathroom sink and a second bathroom toilet. His total price quote was less than a third of the next best estimate from the others. She was thrilled. A big, two thumbs up for Rob and Lawson Family Plumbing. Definitely recommend.

So I gotta tell you. I'm all about making a living and a profit. However lawson family plumbing came out to my sisters house and did a water leak repair. It was on the exterior of the house and it was a minor repair approximately $24 and parts and I'm sure some of it was left over Scrap. They charged her $850 with the service call and dialogue. To no avail it leaked in three weeks! Please see the photo of the very cheap PVC parts that were used. I would understand if it was $300 but this is completely unacceptable. 100% buyer beware these guys must be on commission!. I would recommend you search for a Different plumbing company and by no means trustthese guys. Please see the photo. She has a single woman and I feel that she was taking advantage of 100%. I have been in the construction and remodeling industry for over 22 years and this is completely unacceptable!
I was not home at the time otherwise I would of said absolutely not.
Of course over the last Thanksgiving weekend, our hot water heater went out. We were able to get in touch with Lawson and they sent somebody out the next day, even though we didn't have an appointment. That was Friday, and unfortunately all of the suppliers were closed. However they made room for us Saturday, obtained a new hot water heater, and put it in at the end of the day. Nick and Paul, I believe was his name, did a great job. I also learned a lot from Nick about hot water heaters in general while they were putting it in. Very personable and did a great job as they always have. This is not the first time that I have used Lawson and the reason I keep using the company!
We just finished up a home remodel with several plumbing needs and Lawson Family Plumbing was great to work with. James and Nick were timely and professional. It was also nice calling them because each time someone would answer. Pricing in general for plumbing is high, and Lawson's rates were not much different. But their service was exceptional, so I would hire them again if needed.

From the gentleman who answered my after hours call to Joe who came out and did the temporary fix and got the ball rolling with pack crew and the remediation company everyone was empathic professional, and explained everything that was happening and would be happening moving forward. Hands down one of the least stressful experiences I've ever had with a service company. My old water softener in the garage started leaking despite the bypass being engaged. It filled with water over night. After finding them on Yelp, I called t schedule an appointment. They didn't have any same day appointments, so the scheduler transferred me to a manager to troubleshoot. He determined the bypass was failing. I shut the water off to my house in the meantime. They called later that afternoon to say they had something open up. Jeff responded and promptly removed the water heater and had my water back on within 30 minutes of getting there. He was prompt, friendly, and very professional. They even hauled the old one away! I will definitely use them again if I ever need anything.
We had a hot water slab line break between back to back showers damaging bathrooms and adjacent bedroom. Plumber Joe assessed, called restoration company, located leak, lines and repiped. He even worked after hours to ensure WE were not inconvenienced and did not leave a mess. Amazing customer service and communication with scheduling staff! First time customer and will highly recommend Lawson Family Plumbing.
They may be great at their work, but we will never know as are still waiting for a response. They offer reply within 24 hrs but after a week we gave up and hired another plumber.
Repairman came out to fix my toilet leak and plumbing leak but he said he didn't have the parts and said he would be back about the next day. 3 days later no call from them. If they weren't interested in helping me just say so. Very disappointed. No way to run a business
Great work from Lawson Family Plumbing. After getting new flooring in the bathrooms much to our surprise the floor installers did not put the toilets back in place. We called Lawson & they were fast & responsive to our dilemma. The job was well done & they were very tidy too.
I was very happy with the service I received. Nick came to my house on time and helped me clean out my drain. He also gave me some hints on how to keep my drain clean. As a new home owner, I had a lot of questions about some of the little plumbing issues I was having. 3rd time using Lawson Family Plumbing (this time at my new house). Our technician, Terry was amazing! I had a corroded pipe break loose from the main valve in my backyard. Water was gushing everywhere so we had to cut off the water to the whole house.
Called Lawson Family Plumbing and they showed up right away. Even though it was late at night Terry had such a great attitude. Had me back up and running within an hour. I have found all the technicians to be very diligent and they always thoroughly pressure test their work once completed to ensure there are no leaks.
Easy to see why they maintain a 5-star rating on Yelp. Highly recommend this company for anyone with plumbing needs!
I really have to question the legitimacy of the positive reviews considering my experience was anything but. I contacted them for a quote through their website (get a free estimate button) and waited a month. I contacted them again the same way, and after a week, received a response that another person would be in touch with me. That never happened, so I contacted them a third time five days later and was told that they don't actually give quotes unless someone comes to my house. I know from experience that plumbers don't visit your house without some type of service charge, which means that a salesperson would be the one visiting. I am a senior who lives on a fixed income and I need to shop around for services to get the best value. Apparently, this business doesn't care about accommodating potential customers that way. Even on Yelp, it says request a quote and that the response time is 10 minutes. Both of these things are not true. I have worked with other plumbers who have asked me to send some pictures of the project and details about the repair. I have 4 or 5 plumbing projects, which could not all be done at once because of my budget, but Lawson will lose out on all of them. Why not just have a service attitude?
The best, most reliable and honest in the industry. It's tough for home owners to find honest HVAC professionals (or those who truly know what they are doing). It's a sigh of relief that I found these guys. Outstanding service!
When our 9 year old boiler broke down Tuesday, I jumped on Yelp and found Lawson Family Plumbing and their great reviews. Now I know why. Wednesday morning, Jason came to our house, assessed the situation and did a same-day install of a new tankless water heater as well as a new water softener that was also 9 years old and too small for our house. I could not have been more pleased with the experience and Jason's professionalism and attention to detail. Thank you again for a great experience and a fair deal. If you are having plumbing issues, Lawson is a solid company. I highly recommend.
After calling multiple plumbers Lawson was the only one that was able to come to our home in less than 30 mins to help us. Nicholas Santee was professional and very helpful. Definitely recommend this company!
Was recently told that the only water heater replacement option would be a $3500 commercial water heater or a tankless. My ONLY option according to their professional. After confirming that with my handyman he said that was a joke, just went out and purchased a $470 water heater at Home Depot and replaced it for less than $450 of labor and parts. As a professional plumbing operation I would expect Lawson to have a bit more Integritrity.
I needed to have a couple of faucets switched out in my master bath. A pretty simple job, but I tend to have professionals do electrical work, plumbing and anything else that can destroy my house if I screw it up myself by watching how to videos on you tube. They were out within two days of calling them, installed the faucets quickly and without making a mess. The charges were reasonable and I was satisfied with the end results.
New homeowners, noticed a water discoloration spot on our ceiling a week after moving in. Lawson Family Plumbing was able to have somebody out the very next day - did a review of the plumbing in the house and determined there was no issue, must of been an older stain or from a previously fixed leak we noticed. Not only this, they helped us increase the hot water temp and checked some other odds and ends plumbing things in the home - at no charge! The technician David was prompt, polite, knowledgeable and made us feel much more at ease. Will be using Lawson Family Plumbing for any future plumbing work.
Jeff (Geoff?) replaced our bathtub valve cylinder this morning. It wasn't easy but it got done quickly and it was done right. No more leaking. Jeff was professional and he made sure everything was cleaned up before he left and working correctly.
I had a faucet that quit working and my regular plumber couldn't make it out for a few days so I tried Lawson. They were able to get here within an hour and because the issue was quick and easy they didn't even charge me! The faucet handle was damage in the process but they promised to replace it at no charge. Looks like I have a new regular plumber.
We bought a new home and the p trap under the kitchen sink had duct tape all around it. Thinking that we had an issue we called Lawson family plumbing. They came out found no leak, fast courteous and no charge.
I called for a quote to see how much it would cost to possibly replace my hot water heater. Fast response time and scheduling. The tech was early (which I appreciated). The tech was very polite and informative. The tech looked at my hot water heater and after I explained the issue I was having and having been draining it, he explained my hot water heater should be good for a few more years. The tech recommended the drain valve be replaced with one with a larger opening so it won't get clogged and flow rate will be better. The tech had the new ball valve and gave me a price for it and the install. I was surprised with the price ($167.14) but I agreed so I didn't have to go out and try to find the ball valve and then install it. The new ball valve definitely helped with the further draining of my hot water heater. I'm glad I had it changed but feel the price of it and the install was a little high. I could be wrong though. I would still recommend Lawson Family Plumbing and will use them again when needed.
OK. This is nothing special. Every review column is filled with stories about wster heaters or air conditioners that break or fail during the worst time!
So to say that Lawson Family Plumbing is great, professional, responds quickly isnt enough. But they did. And they are!! I dont have a go to plumber so when i found the garage flooded and water sprouting out from the heater, i grabbed my phone, hit Yelp and called.
It was a Sunday morning at 11am. And the service technician was there in less than an hour.
He explained that the unit was still under factory warranty since it was only 3 years old BUT, since it was sunday, we would have to wait till Monday to get the warranty price.
Its ARIZONA! If you use the garden hose, you'll have hot water!
So we decided to wait 1 day, saved $400, and used the garden hose to shower. (Actually, the wife did! I heated up a pot of hot water on the stove, got a big 5 gallon bucket and had a comfortable sponge bath)
So, definitely will call on Lawson Family Plumbing again if needed. I suggest you do the same and give them a try.
I had an issue with a leaking valve under my sink. Called Lawson Family Plumbing on a Saturday. Since this was not an emergency, we set an appointment for Tuesday. Jason, from Lawson Family Plumbing arrived exactly on time. Took him 5 minutes to correct the problem and did this for NO CHARGE! Put this company on the top of your plumber contact list, and ask for Jason!

We contacted them to help us troubleshoot a suspicious leak in our master bathroom shower, which we thought was stemming from the valve, thus leaking inside the adjoining wall. Logan arrived on time and began troubleshooting, and identified the problem was a narrow gap between the shower pan and the marble shower wall. Five minutes later and a couple of beads of sealant...problem solved. Logan, well done.
Technician David was sent to fix a plumbing issue in my bathroom, and also make sure a pipe isn't leaking water. He was right on time, and was honest about the leaking, also did a great job fixing the bathroom plumbing issue. I highly recommend this company.
I had Lawson Family Plumbing out in September for a leaking toilet. He fixed it in just a few minutes.
I had had them out previously on Christmas Eve a couple of years ago for a leaking garbage disposal. They were quick to come out that time on a holiday with no extra charge to replace it
So when I got a call my toilet was leaking while I was on vacation. I called and they were out in a few hours.
The tech mentioned that my water pressure was high and my water main shut off needed to be replaced (he had to shut off the water at the curb) The tech at that time gave me a very fair estimate on my water main shut off, pressure regulator and water heater. As of today all work is completed.
They are great to work with from the techs that come out to the office staff. Always friendly and knowledgeable I never feel like there is any pressure for work I don't need

After years of putting up with a big-name plumbing company which was always trying with all the charm of a used car salesman to upsell me on questionably needed work, I finally kicked that big company to the curb and went with the smaller Lawson Family Plumbing.
I couldn't possibly be happier with my decision. Fortunately, none of my work was an emergency, but even so, I was able to get an appointment within two days of my initial call, and the two-man crew arrived promptly very near the beginning of the three-hour window which I was originally promised.
The crew replaced a bathroom faucet, a hot water tank anode rod, and even wowed me by successfully fixing an air switch on my garbage disposal - the latter job being one I was almost sure I was going to have to make a separate call to an electrician for. Not only that, but they completed all this work in under one hour. They don't mess around! Thank you, plumber Ben Perkins and your partner on this crew. I considered the price very reasonable for the work performed and will definitely be using Lawson Family Plumbing for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

Today was a day I was dreading for over a month. The kitchen sink had a clog and with a very slow drain. I chose Lawson primarily from the glowing reviews on Yelp and am so glad I did. The last company ripped me off royaly and harassed me for giving them a bad review to the point of having to delete my post. So I was worried.
Chris was the plumber that came over. He was very thorough and fixed the immediate problem. Very thankful for that. At some point we'll need a power wash in the near future and will be sure to call Lawson's.

While the plumber was there, I asked for a quote for a rather large job, but he deferred the quote to his boss. They never followed up with me, which is a little surprising.

I requested a plumber who had been vaccinated. No problem. When he arrived, he also had a mask, and wore booties to enter our home! I have never had any home worker do that before. The Nick was a complete gentleman as well as an excellent plumber. In changing the kitchen sink faucet, he had a lot of extra difficulty due to corrosion around the old faucet, and did not charge extra. He also did some extra testing, found that one of the shut-off valves was corroded and not working, and replaced that. Then just as he thought he was done, an 'O' ring in my reverse osmosis water filtration system broke and it started leaking. No fault of his-I know because I was watching. He caught that by careful inspection of the job before leaving, fixed it, and suggested that I order 'O' rings for all of my folders. He's now my favorite plumber of all time.
Our hot water tank went out and the pilot would not relight. David C came out the same day quickly diagnosed the issue and installed a new water tank within hours. Great service I would recommend them highly.
We've used Lawson Family Plumbing twice now - first for a shower cartridge repair, and most recently, for a replacement of our tankless hot water heater. Both times, we had knowledgeable, courteous plumbers that explained what they were doing and why. For the tankless heater, Nick provided an estimate for repair option and the replace option and explained both options well. He didn't pressure towards the replace option. We ended up going with the replace. The new Rinnai system is extremely quiet and we're looking forward to years of seamless and on-demand hot water. With both visits, our plumbers left the site spotless. They called 20 min before arriving, and the front office was courteous and helpful. I will be going back to Lawson in the future.

Had an emergency bit of plumbing that needed to be done. Tracy gave me a more than acceptable window of a couple hours from when I phoned. She was great btw.. The stars aligned and my guy showed up in 20 mins. He got the job done quick and clean and right. Wore his mask, all that stuff. Super nice guy as well. Cleaned up afterwards. Was not overly expensive either. More then acceptable.. I'll use these folks everytime.
David C. arrived at home to repair toilet. He was both professional and polite. After diagnosis he gave us the costs for repairs vs. replacement. We discussed, and decided to go new. He gave us brand recommendations and we are purchasing a new toilet. We are scheduling Lawson to install, as well as keeping them as our future service provider in the coming years.
Jake arrived less than an hour after I called! I was afraid the bathroom would be torn up and out of commission for at least a week to fix our toilet leak, as all the bolts disintegrated when he pulled up the toilet. It was clear it had been leaking for a while. We were ecstatic when Jake told us it was just the seal, and he could take care of it for less $ than we expected! The whole job took less than two hours and the toilet will be ready to use after the silicone caulk sets, about five hours. Thanks Jake, for your professionalism, efficiency, and quality of work!

Jeff gave me exceptional customer service. He performed two repairs for me. I had a leak under my bathroom sink. Not only did he fix the leak, but he cleaned up the interior floor of the cabinet so that it looks like new. Very impressed! I really wasn't expecting that. He also replaced the spout on my tub so it no longer leaks against the tile wall. I got the distinct impression that Jeff knows his way around plumbing issues. And prices for both issues were reasonable and fair. I would highly recommend hiring Lawson Family Plumbing for any of your plumbing repairs. BEWARE!!!! So we had a very straight forward issue. Clogged drain. Took 20 minutes....tech was unprofessional joking on his phone....grunting around. Charged 200 for 20 minute clog. Wanted 150 for draining the water heater. We refused called a different company had it done for 70....horrible. scammers. The other company said for the clog they would of charged 90 bucks. We got taken. Just do your research but I would take your chances elsewhere. Tech even forgot his flashlight I was nice and returned it.

I called Lawson Family Plumbing out to my house twice and had a fantastic experience both times. The first was due to an issue with my shower valve leaking. The technician examined the issue and then clearly explained my options and the costs associated. They were quick, friendly, and timely. I then noticed a few days later that the water pressure was low and called them back about the issue, and they had someone out the next day to clean it up for free even though the issue was simply some pipe build-up that came loose and got stuck in the valve. I'm currently waiting on a replacement fixture for my weird, 80's mechanism that I haven't been able to find anywhere else!
We had to have an emergency call out, middle of the night, for a blocked up main. Robbie showed up in my driveway and was a total pro - Was aware of the late hour and wanted to be respectful of my neighbors. Explained what he was doing the whole time and imparted good knowledge for maintenance and upkeep. Reasonable cost for an emergency call - Lawson will be top of my list if we ever need help again. We had Matt come out to take a look at our water heater. He had done the original install several months ago and we had a great experience with him and Lawson Family Plumbing. He was quick and made a small adjustment to the heater to help us with the problem and was on his way. He's super knowledgeable and always explain what repairs he's making and why. I love this company--they're quick, courteous and honest. I have used Lawson 3 times now, they will always be my first call when I need anything plumbing related.

My water heater started leaking Friday and my home warranty assigned Lawson Family Plumbing to my repair request.
Contact was made first thing Saturday morning and an appointment was set for later that day. The plumber was running ahead of schedule and contacted me to see if he could come early!
Jason arrived two hours early, and was VERY efficient. He identified the problem, was able to get in touch with my warranty company, got the work approved and was finished with the install, all within an hour. Afterwards, he took the time to explain the system to me as it had slightly different settings than my prior one.
Both people I interacted with were polite and knowledgeable, explaining the process for each step. I'd highly recommend them.
Tony arrived on time gave us a quote ahead of time and worked very diligently to get out the rusted out flange. It was not cheap......but it was professionally done! That is the difference from cheap work vs profrssional work. We we able to use the current yelp discount and saved a bit. I would recommend this company. You should be prepared to pay for PROFESSIONAL services done right. They do offer estimates so you will know ahead of time the costs. We didn't want to cost compare. So it was worth every penny to have it done all in one trip. Yelp reviews are spot on!

I bought a home and painted the bathrooms with Valspar satin paint (I did not realize it was a bad batch with mold in it) well needless to say, when the weather got above 100 degrees, my bathrooms started smelling terrible!! I was sure it was a sewer leak or something of that nature.
Lawson sent someone out to identify the issue, the first smoke bomb didn't work, so they send someone else with more the next day I was available. Everything went well. The guys were really nice and Vic(?) in particular was very knowledgeable about plumbing.
Prices are a little higher but I feel it is worth it to have high quality and customer service like this. The valves the changed, hardware installed, and new water heater are still holding up with no issues.
Had a surprise leak. Called Lawson T 7:00 am Sat and Justin showed up early. He was great very nice and professional. The work was really good prices are very fair. They helped us get in touch with a dry walker have to tell everyone out there Lawson is a company I would highly recommend. Replaced hot water storage tank 2 weeks ago through big box store purchase and affiliate installer. No hot water since then. I exhibit patience; however, performance keeps me in the house. Dancing with the store, installer, and manufacturer brought me no closer to resolution(they did try).
Lawson Family Plumbing to the rescue. Found them through Yelp while researching for other prospective work. I scheduled to have them come out(Cassie) to address my hot water delivery issue. The plumber(Benjamin) was engaged, deliberate, and effective. He instilled confidence and advised me along the way. Very friendly and made appropriate recommendations that kept my interests ahead.
Benjamin determined and resolved issue. We have hot water again! He also made time to address other issues(faucet and spigot replacements). I'm no expert, however, pricing for work satisfied me and took into account appropriate discounts(military). Lawson Family Plumbing(and Benjamin) is on my list to consider for future work.

We just had David Campos complete a replacement of a water heater, which nearly almost blew since it started on fire, and a leak in our master bathroom. He was the most polite and courteous service provider that we've ever had to come into our home. On time, convenient scheduling, great availability. I'm very glad my insurance was covering me water heater leak damage as it was thousands of dollars for them to cut out some drywall and bring over fans and a dehumidifier.
I did not go with the reconstruction company they referred as this company was just trying to get top dollar from the insurance company plus my deductible. Instead I found someone else to replace drywall and spray texture for a fraction of the cost and saved almost $2100.
We just had Lawson Family Plumbing come out today after having a very bad experience with another company that was sent out by our home warranty co. I'm pleased to say that I couldn't have made a better decision! Lawson has been fantastic from the moment I started working with them. The lady who answered the phone was kind, understanding, and professional. They set up an appointment immediately and arrived on time this morning.
They completely fixed the plumbing issue and even told my wife that if what he was doing didn't help that there would be no charge. That is professionalism and I know being in the service industry myself. The tech David was awesome, thank you so much for taking care of our problem! My wife felt comfortable with him when he was out and didn't feel taken advantage of like the last co. which is huge for me. They also saved us close to $800 from what we were going to be charged (no joke).

I had a slow but noticeable leak in the main water service line between the city meter and my house. Jeff P. responded quickly and scheduled my repair service earlier than originally anticipated. I elected to have the entire line replaced so he obviously needed to dig a trench through my front yard to lay the new Wirsbo PEX. The excavation was done in the late afternoon and Jeff returned early the next morning to finish the job. Along the way, Jeff explained what he was doing. My water supply was turned off for only 3 hours and Jeff completed the job by returning my yard to the way it looked before he started (minus the evident water leak). The price was quite reasonable for such an extensive repair. I will call on LFP for all my future plumbing needs.
Great service, we're first time home buyers and we know nothing about plumbing. It took more trips coming out then we thought so it took longer for the job to be finished. Everything is working perfectly now, they fixed our piping, replaced a toilet, and fixed our leaking master shower. We loved the guy that came and helped us out. Had a really stubborn clogged kitchen sink drain pipe due to my wife jamming a bunch of asparagus down the disposal and running it for about 5 minutes. Asparagus is really stringy and makes for a nasty clog--compounded by the fact that running the disposal really forced it down in there (probably about 20 feet). I suppose I should note that I'm not actually married...I'm just blaming this on my fictional wife to sound like less of an idiot.
Anyway, tried for the better part of 2 hours to snake it out myself. Did the last ditch drain cleaner hail Mary and let that sit overnight. No luck.
Lawson responded to my quote request via yelp almost immediately and had somebody out the same day. Power snake did the job, the guy was polite, and my sink now drains. Would use them again, and so would my wife.

Logan came out to our home yesterday and fixed one issue and I requested more services from them today and again Logan came out. After my original review, the owner, Jeff called me to apologize that the water heater wasn't replaced yet, offered to make it right, explained what was going on with the home warranty company, and dispatched an employee to come tonight to do the work. That is excellent customer service. I wish it had been taken care of earlier, but am glad it has been resolved now. Thank you Jeff & Jason!
[Long story short, after not having hot water for a couple days, the first tech who came out wouldn't start work to replace our water heater (covered under home warranty) because he said the water softener was in the way, and he didn't want to be liable if something happened when he moved it. I got home and moved it without issue in less than 10 minutes. They are busy and weren't going to be able to come again for another couple days. I left my review, then the owner calls me and sends someone to go get the new water heater and come install it the same night. The owner comes over as well to see how things are going. Jason got it done so we don't have to wait any longer to have hot water again.]

I called for a tankless water heater problem that was reoccurring and they sent a tech out within a couple hours. Mike showed up and got on the phone with a service rep and did some minor adjustments to what may have been causing the problem and was very helpful in explaining what he did. I definitely have found my plumber to use in the future. Thanks again, great customer service.
Recently had an estimate from these guys. Super high Yelp AND BBB ratings. Tech showed up: no mask no gloves no social distancing. I was very disappointed AND unpleasantly surprised. I did not allow him inside. He was here about 5 mins and did email me a quote but I would not be comfortable having them back. Clearly they are not concerned with others health.
We called Lawson Family plumbing based on all these great reviews when we had an underground hot water leak.
Darrell arrived on time to find the leak and was great. It took an hour to find, and since we have already had our laundry water routed through the attic it would be pretty easy (he would just splice into it and drop it about 10 feet from there). He scheduled to come back in two days to fix the problem. He quoted us $1800-$2000, and I approved since we needed it fixed. He came back two days later and worked from 8am-12 and fixed the problem. After asking for a detailed bill he took off $400 and charged us $1400 (plus the $250 to find the leak - total $1650).
This is a quality company, but $350 an hour seems a little extreme when there might have been $20 in materials. I know I could have shopped around and saved a bunch of money but did not have the time to do so.
So my final view is that they have great plumbers and do good work, but they might price gouge you if in a hurry.
*Update - 30 minutes after leaving this review I received a call from Lawson Family Plumbing and they remedied the situation. Impressive!
Lawson Family Plumbing deserves six stars! I chose this company because of the great ratings and I wasn't disappointed. I have a wall mounted faucet, kitchen faucet and a garbage disposal that needed repairs/replacement. A another company came out and had no idea how to fix a wall mounted faucet. Thank goodness for Lawson Family Plumbing! They responded promptly and came out to do the job in the same week. Vic was so professional and did an awesome job. He let me know how much everything would cost beforehand, cleaned up after the work and just was nice to work with. You can tell he loves his job by how pleasant he was. Sounds like the owners are great people. Lawson will be my go to plumbing company from now on.

We have been having an issue with a corner of the wall that meets the shower door, it has been wearing due to water, so we thought we had a leak, so TJ from Lawson family plumbing came by, he also was able to come earlier than expected, and gave me a heads up to make sure that was ok. He checked for humidity in the wall and couldn't find any, so he assured me it wasn't a leak. He ended up looking at the shower door and noticed the rubber bar that helped seal the shower was torn, and that is where water was coming out of. Water was hitting the wall, so gave me a few ideas on what to do. I didn't get charged for anything since no work had to be done, but TJ figured out the problem, we have used Lawson before in the past, it has always been a great experience with them, if you need a 24/7 service or a regular day service Lawson is the place to call. Outstanding and professional service. 2nd time I've used them. Their employees and repair people are all courteous and professional, from the person who answers the phone to the follow up calls.
They are substantially less expensive than other plumbing companies. They showed up on time, charged me exactly what they said they would on the phone, and the repairman actually did more work than the original estimate.
I recently had them install a water heater I purchased from them. On top of the fact it's a much higher quality heater than those sold in box stores, and that it cost the same, Lawson provides a 6 year warranty with 2 years in - home service - perhaps 3. The manufacturer only provides a 2 year warranty, and 1 year in-home service.
Don't call anyone else! These people want to make sure their customers are happy and keep coming back. They've got a permanent customer in me and, no, I was not paid to review them!
They deliver good service. I have an old toilet that was prone to having constant running water issues. Previous plumbers were not able to fix it, but this place was. Since my toilet is old and has constant issues as they are, Lawson Plumbing came out a few times and they were the ones who finally could fix it. No issues since then, and my toilet has been working well. They also came to fix my sink and clogging issues as well too. No problems ever since then either. They are on the pricier price range, but they do deliver the work!
Highly recommend. I had an issue with my hot water tank. Lawson was able to come out quickly (next day). They called prior to coming and arrived on time. I ended not needing any significant repairs, however, I felt they were knowledgeable and honest.

Blake came to my house this morning to install a new water softener and if you're new to Arizona it's more or less a must have in Arizona because it will save all the water using appliances ex: dishwasher and washing machine which are expensive because the water calcification besides the fact soft water saves you on laundry soap and bath soap and all of your copper fittings running through out your home. It's a necessity and Lawson plumbing does an excellent job for an amazing price

I discovered a serious issue with my grinder pump and called Lawson Family Plumbing. They were super helpful when I called and scheduled a service call. Jason arrived on time, inspected the situation and determined what was needed to get my system back up and running. I'm very happy that I called Lawson and very thankful that they dispatched Jason. He is very knowledgeable and takes pride in his work.
I have used Lawson in the past and thought they were wonderful. And they are still my first call for estimates. However my last 2 jobs I've gone with another company because these guys have gotten really expensive. I mean $300 to $400 over another 5 star company I used for my last 2 jobs. Yeah no. I'll still call but if I can get the same service and quality for cheaper then I'm going with the competition.

Kenneth was able to locate the leak and fix it with experience and a smile . I called yesterday and they came out first thing this morning and had the job done in under 2 hours . Right before my husband and I were going to bed we started to hear bubbles from our toilets which then spiraled into sewer water filling our showers. I started researching emergency plumbers since it was about 11pm on a Sunday evening. I called Lawson and am so happy I did! They were able to send out a technician within an hour and fix our problems. The technician was extremely professional and got the job done quickly. Will use Lawson for any and all future plumbing needs! Highly recommend.

I couldn't be happier. I had two problems-- the kitchen faucet was shot and the laundry room sink was overflowing. They fixed the faucet, but suggested I try a de-greasing drain cleaner before paying more to clear the laundry room sink. It didn't end up working, but I REALLY appreciated them suggesting a potentially inexpensive solution. They came today and snaked out the pipes. The drains in the whole house have never run so fast.
The price was reasonable, they came when they said they would (even earlier-- they called when an earlier time opened up) and they worked fast. This is the company you want to call.
Lawson is my go to plumber. I've had them replace my tankless water heater and re-route the pipe from my water softener. They really take pride in their work, especially Joe. He did the water softener line, after informing me that the first estimate I got from another plumber was illegal and would't be to code. He noticed that the water heater installation was correct but didn't meet his or the company's standards so they sent someone back out, with their QA manager, to re-install it a better way. I trust them with all my plumbing needs.
I had JT come out and did a bunch of work for me. He installed a new garbage disposable, put in a new foist and set up a insta hot water tap. He went above and beyond and was very insightful. I would definitely ask for JT if you want good service.
Found LFP on Yelp. Free estimates, arrived on time - same day! Tony was very thorough in explaining what the repair would consist of and the costs. Ultimately, I went with another company to save a few $, but almost hired LFP based on Tony's level of customer service. Helps that he is super handsome, as well, almost had me sold :) I would consider hiring them in the future.
Found a pool of water in our front yard and suspected a broken water pipe. Had someone come out on a Sunday to confirm our suspicion and the person who came out made it very clear he did not want to dig to find the problem and fix it. So to try and save some money my boyfriend said he will try to dig to find the leak and call back when he found it. When we couldn't find the pipe we called back about an hour later to have the technician come back and fix the problem and they told us they can't come until late the next day. With no water and an emergency we couldn't rely on Lawson Family Plumbing to help us and had to deal with a lazy technician that wasted our time.
I used Lawson at a previous home and they were great so this review is long overdue. Most recently, I had a garbage disposal issue so I scheduled an appointment which Lawson accommodated the very next day. A friendly technician named Dishawn arrived to my home and solved the issue in less than five minutes. Guess what, I wasn't charged a nickel, not even a trip fee. That is what I call good old fashioned customer service which is so rare these days. This continued a pattern (a good one) from when Lawson came to my previous home years ago. They don't nickel and dime you, and only do the work that is necessary in a professional and skilled manner. I cannot recommend Lawson enough and they will be the only plumbing service I use for as long as I live in the Valley.

Had a great experience with Lawson Family Plumbing. I put in for a quote yesterday to get some drains unclogged, they called me a few hours later and set up something for today, which was very helpful. The man who came (my apologies, I didn't catch his name) called when he was on his way (he was early, which was great for me!). He unclogged both drains really quickly and had a pleasant demeanor and was very friendly. He even gave me a discount!

We woke up one day and found that our water heater had broken. We contacted Lawson and they were over to our house within the hour. They gave us various options for replacement of the heater and went and purchased exactly what we needed for our household. They also provided all the information we needed for the warranty. Rates were extremely competitive and the workmanship was above reproach. We have recommended Lawson to other of family members and friends.

After hearing continuous running water in my condo unit, I called Lawson plumbing early on a Saturday morning. By Monday they had the 3 leaks detected, and identified that I needed to have a restoration company evaluate the dampness in the wall. They recommended a company and got that going the very same day.
Lawson recommended a repipe, so to avoid similar damage in the future. Once the walls were dry and insurance had visited, they began the work. Mike S. has been awesome throughout the entire process from leak detection to full repipe. Not only was his work exceptional, but he also was willing to explain anything and everything to me - and wanted to ensure I was comfortable through this ordeal. Chris worked with Mike over the course of the project and was equally as friendly and patient!

Late Monday evening (11/09/20), I realized I had warm water only. Upon checking the hot water tank....yep! goop running down the front and water on the floor. Yikes! Joe showed up on time and took care of the problem in no time. Their prices have always been lower than the competition.
We are still dealing with our warranty issues caused by Lawson Family Plumbing, they caused the leak on 11-24-20. We have tried numerous times to get a schedule from them, have had no luck in doing so. Have had to take off work on multiple occasions, several times due to last minute phone calls with four hour eta windows. Prior to the last review they were not responsive until that review was saved; then at 8:30 pm I receive a voice message from Vik questioning why I would leave a bad review. Communication has been via emails, the owner Jason Pfeiffer has been ccd by Vik on each of the emails, he has yet to reach out personally to try and help resolve these issues; although on the evening of 11-24-20 I was assured by Mike Schellenberg that I would receive a call from him because of what has taken place. When an owner of a company can not even take the time to respond or step in to assist in dealing with a customer on an issue caused by his employees, it says a lot about that business.
I had an after hours emergency and Robbie from Lawson Family Plumbing arrived within the one hour time frame given. He was absolutely amazing in getting the problem solved and our water back on as soon as possible. Robbie was extremely knowledgeable and diligent, even as he worked in the dark outside while soldering new copper pipe. Had it not been for him, I would've had a disaster on my hands. I'll definitely use Lawson again, and I'll ask for Robbie because he was fantastic!

The owner, Jeff, immediately contacted me after my initial review to see if he could investigate what happened and make it right. There seems to have been some miscommunication, possibly on both sides, since the technician stated he had called me back twice but I never received any message on the voicemail - or from a family member - so I gave benefit of the doubt. He offered to still do the work that they bid.
Their bid was the lowest, and the plumber was very nice and pleasant when he came out to inspect the job. We will be considering them again for future work when needed. I really appreciated the effort Jeff took to try to correct the situation and keep a customer.
The plumber was prompt and courteous.
We had returned to our home after leaving it empty for 4 months.
When the plumber looked at the toilet, he used elbow grease and turned a stuck valve!
Pleasantly, he did'nt charge us a dime. We gave him a nice tip.

Called on a Saturday afternoon with a clogged toilet. Was told that a service provider could be out between 3 and 7 PM the same day. I was thrilled. At about 1:15, I received a phone call that said the technician was on his way and was it OK to come early. Everything was taken care of with courtesy and professionalism. I will definitely use Lawson family plumbing again.
I had a great experience with Kevin from Lawson Plumbing, had a leak between my house and the water meter. Kevin came out, assessed the situation and gave me an estimate. We schedule the work for a few days later and he arrived as scheduled and made short work of the job. I had done some exploratory digging to narrow down the location and he was able to find the root cause repair the leak and restore the disturbed landscaping as good as new.
Lawson was quick, very responsive and professional in coming out to look at my (dead) water softener. They let me know the extent of the problem and explained why a new softener was necessary, and installed a brand-new top of the line unit the very same afternoon. Because the cost was far outside my budget, I was happy that they offer payment plan options without financing. What a relief.
Now, my water is flowing great and it's definitely softer. I'm very happy with the service and I am confident that if anything goes wrong or I have questions, they'll be just as professional and responsive. I just get a feeling that this is the way they do business.
This business may do great work, but their prices are ridiculous! Just had one of their plumbers come out to install a new kitchen sink & faucet that we purchased from Home Depot. He said it would take 2 hours, and cost $688 plus another $149 to install the little charcoal filter. Over $830 to install a $300 sink? We weren't born yesterday!
Much better. Jason contacted my mom and stopped by on Sunday morning. Spent quality time accessing the entire home. Took the time to explain what was going on. My mom is relieved and so am I. All we needed was (1) someone to take the time (2) and not brush her aside or take advantage because she's older. Thank you for giving us reassurance that no major damage has been done.

Their quick response time was wonderful! My moms shower stopped working and it was a necessity that it be fixed quickly! Rob, the tall guy, was so polite, patient and has a great personality! He was very respectful of my moms home and to us as well! Showed up with a mask on, and a shirt representing who he worked for. I had someone come out to fix our toilet that was not flushing properly. Someone came out, we were charged several hundred dollars, and assumed the toilet was working fine. It's a toilet we rarely use, so a few days passed, and when we went to use the toilet, it still would not flush unless the lid was off of the tank. I called and left a message to have someone come back out to fix the problem, and no one ever returned my message. We decided to use a different plumber.
My hot water heater broke earlier in the week and Lawson Family was out the same day. They are always courteous, trustworthy and dependable. I want to thank Jason for coming out so that I had hot water the same day. I'll be going to them to replace my water purifier within the next few months.
Plumber showed up in mask and repaired broken solder joint on my sprinkler service line. He was polite, professional and very reasonably priced. I have used Kendall before and had similar great work. Also, I called at 8am, this was not an emergency I could shut water off to the leak but the job was done correctly by 10:30am the same morning. It doesn't get better than that.

I had a problem with a tub faucet so I found Lawson on Yelp and called. Melanie took my information and was very courteous and efficient. She scheduled the call for the next day between 10 and 1. Robert called at 9 to tell me he was a little early and asked if he could be there at 9:40am - Perfect! He showed up right on time and accessed the issue quickly. He gave me a quote before doing any work and began fixing the issue. Robert is very friendly and very courteous. He ended up having to do a little more than we originally thought to fix the problem. The extra work was done within the original quote and it is fixed! Great work and super quick. I am very happy with this service call in every way!
Chris came out to help us find a way to get hot water upstairs faster. He installed some sort of pump 2 days later at a very reasonable cost, very timely, very professional, shows up on time, courteous. Now we have hot water instantly upstairs. THank you Chris!!
Great service. I called to have someone go out to my mothers house. Joe came out and not only talked it through with my mom, he called me and let me know what was going on. He did the repairs quickly, reasonably priced and was very professional.
A perfect experience in every way!!! I purchased a new water heater on my own and was looking for a quality plumbing company to install it and wow did I find one. The owner, Jeffrey, of Lawson Plumbing made himself available numerous times for all of my questions and I did have numerous questions. Just ask him. Haha!! From there he sent out Vic (spelling?) to give me a quote. After being completely impressed by not only Vic's plumbing IQ but his personality as well I was scheduled for the job 2 days later. Vic called the day of, one hour before the scheduled arrival and guess what, he showed up on time. This company is awesome and they had not even started the job yet. Vic completed the replacement in a few hours given it was a more complex water heater project. He answered all my questions and as Jeff, the owner knows, I can have questions. My garbage disposal broke. So I googled a plumber and these guys looked friendly enough. Luckily, they said they could come today. Phew! I don't have to go the weekend without a disposal.
Joe called me before he was on my way to my house. He tried to unclog the disposal and found some plastic and a toothpick. Oops. He turned back on the disposal and it was making a soft humming sound. After he tried a few other things, he told me my motor is dead so it would actually need to be replaced. While he was doing that he found one of my pipes was cracked and that's why it looked all brown on the outside. He replaced that too.
I appreciate the honesty Joe showed. He didn't just try to sell me on a whole new disposal right away. He tried to fix the disposal before recommending a new one. He was fast, professional, and friendly. I would definitely have Joe help me out with a problem again. So, thanks Joe! I appreciate the work you did for me and I hope to not need to see you too soon. Haha. But I will definitely recommend you to my friends.

Jason, a licensed plumber from Lawson Plumbing, has been wonderful! I got a sink/faucet installation and a water line installation from him and could not be more pleased. Very professional, prompt, communicative, and helpful! Would highly recommend there work. No wonder they were referred to me via word of mouth.
I had an issue with a long standing leak in a bathroom tub faucet, the leak was going through around the seam of the tub so I had thought it was a pipe issue. I had Tony from Lawson plumbing come out and he was very honest and thorough. It ended up being just the faucet and he was honest and didn't try to make up repairs to just get the job he even walked around the house with me to help me find my water shut off since it wasn't easy for me to find. I will definitely be calling them again for any plumbing issues I have.

Nobody wants stinky garbage disposal water anywhere, least of all squirting across your kitchen at 9pm the night before the head of the household is leaving for a business trip. But that's what happened to my family. And worse than that, the usual handyman was booked for the next three weeks! There are not enough Yankee candles in the world to handle three weeks of stinky garbage disposal water.
Enter Lawson Family Plumbing.
They set up an appointment by for the next day for between 10a-1p. By 10:03a Tony was under the sink replacing the cracked and busted garbage disposal. By 10:30a he was ringing me up and we were done! It was well within a reasonable price range, and everything works perfectly now!
Tony was friendly, fast, and really professional. And he even gave me a $20 coupon towards a future visit. We're definitely keeping Lawson Family Plumbing in our contacts list.
Called Lawson for low pressure in the guest bathroom shower. Upon arrival at our home, the tech informed us that the shower head was corroded and we did not need any plumbing work -- told me to clean the shower head with lime remover. THEY DID NOT CHARGE ME FOR ANYTHING INCLUDING THE SITE VISIT!! I thought that was high class, and I would call them again as they are honest and trustworthy. Thank you!!
My tenants contacted me early on a Sunday morning that they had no hot water. I was worried I wouldn't be able to find someone to come out on a Sunday. The first place I called never returned my call, second wasn't open and third call was to Lawson. A very nice woman answered my call immediately and scheduled for someone to come out a few hours later. They were there within the time frame specified and had the issue fixed same day. My first call will definitely be to Lawson if I'm ever in need again!
Called Lawson after figuring out that my disposal needed to be replaced and I also tried to install a kitchen faucet myself. In doing my research for bids, most other companies were not open on weekends and the couple that I did get ahold of didn't anything do until Monday and I just got the general feeling that the other people I called were not really concerned with my issue.
From the moment I spoke with Lawson, it was obvious they were happy to help me and flexible in getting someone out. They had someone here within my timeframe and schedule. My disposal was replaced, my faucet installed, the needed repairs taken care of and everything is done! price wise, they were somewhat competitive to the other bids I got, the difference being that Lawson had a professional to my house quickly and I received friendly service both over the phone and when tech showed up. (vs the other places where I felt like they didn't really care to earn my business, and more importantly, fix my issue quickly!)
I would recommend Lawson to anyone in a heartbeat and you should not hesitate to call them if you need plumbing services!
Look no further!! Everything with Lawson went as well as you could expect! From that first phone call with Tanner to speaking with Jeff... I definitely felt more confident dealing with these guys as opposed to the guys my Home Warranty company had sent out!

11/12: Jeff came out to give me a free estimate on what was wrong with my washer drain. After he was done, his clear-cut, itemized quote pretty much listed all the things my Home Warranty guys told me I needed, but for about 20% LESS!
11/15: After agreeing to their service, he shows up promptly a week later, finishes the job, and I couldn't feel more relieved I finally got my plumbing fixed!

If you are EVER in a pinch or dire need of plumbing services please CALL these guys. They got out here remarkably fast, did a super fast job of replacing out water valve under the kitchen sink and charged what I considered a very low amount to do so. We came home from work to find a leak in our bathroom wall. I called Lawson Family Plumbing based off of their Yelp reviews. A gentleman named Tanner took my call and was very empathetic and nice. He dispatched a gentleman named Kevin to our house, and he was here in less than an hour an a half. Kevin evaluated the issue, gave us a reasonable quote, and fixed our leak quickly. He was very considerate of our flooring and wore booties on his boots. He even kindly tolerated my little dog occasionally barking at him. He cleaned up after himself and left our home clean. They are awesome. This is my second time working with them and next time I won't even look for price quotes from other providers, I'll just call Lawson Family Plumbing right away.
I kept having slab leaks and decided to re-plumb my entire house. LFP was not the cheapest quote, but left very good impression. They have't tried to upsell anything (as I've seen with many other providers), were very reasonable and willing to work with me. They did an excellent job. Every little detail that I wanted them to fix they fixed without complaining and arguing. Not only that, but the holes that they made in walls to pull flex pipes were small and they kept the original dry wall that they put back in place. They did not do sanding, patching and painting (nor did they promise to), but because they did such a good and neat job, we did not have to replace dry wall right away but instead had to time to do it ourselves over the course of several month.
Guys were very nice, courteous and intelligent. I would give my business to them again any day.

NO trip charge. FAIR UPFRONT PRICING. Jeff was super nice and did the job right. He charged me $89 to put a bathtub drain in. He charged my mom $154 to take apart and put a new part in her bathtub faucet. (Cartridge??). So much better than the $400 I was quoted from another company. And, that was just for the bathtub drain. Make sure you ask for the yelp discount. I've already referred Lawson Family Plumbing to a friend who lives in Peoria. Yes, they told me they go all over the valley.

There is a reason why Lawson Family Plumbing is a 5-star rated company. Master shower faucet snapped off so it was impossible to adjust water temperature and the guest shower faucet was just too tight and difficult to adjust the water temperature. I called just this afternoon and fortunately there was someone available today! Chris arrived and provided estimates. He didn't pressure me at all and it was my decision to install a new cartridge in the master shower. Professional, personable, and just a nice guy with plumbing expertise. I will definitely be using Lawson for all of my plumbing needs. I use Yelp religiously and was not disappointed today.
We had a broken water line. When we called them they came right out. They are professional and knowledgeable. They had to make a return trip to finish up the work. The men arrived exactly on time. They really worked hard to fix our problem and cleaned up nicely. We highly recommend them.

After having some mis-communications with a dispatcher, Vick, a FSM gave me a call to address my concerns immediately. He went so far as to actually show up at my house with the technician, CJ. Both did excellent work in resolving my issues and I will continue to work with Lawson Family Plumbing for the foreseeable future. I'd also like to say Matt exceeded my expectations as well on a previous service call.

I highly recommend Lawson Family Plumbing. Scheduler was friendly and accommodating. James called before arriving and showed up at the time that I was given. He was very professional and friendly. If you are looking for reliable, honest service then Lawson family plumbing should be your choice. I've had them come out to my home a couple of times now and have never been disappointed. Everyone working there is very knowledgeable. I've used other companies before and they have not been on time, upfront and honest like Lawson Family Plumbing. They've replaced a toilet, shower valve and given advice that has saved me over $100. I will continue to use them as well as recommend them to family and friends.
Knowledgeable is an understatement. Had a crazy unusual plumbing problem that apparently 2 plumbers that helped the owner next door could not find. Well after an intial inspection, Lawson Family Plumbing was able to CLEARLY communicate what the issue was and an approach to resolving it. Prices were communicated on during the whole process and after hours they were able to fix the problem with expert care. In addition they were able to work with my Home Warranty people to ensure the work they were performing was not covered by the company.
I really appreciate the service and care to make the drain issue go away.
Friday night (after business hours) and I notice a leak in a pipe/hose in my backyard. I've lived in the house only a few months and have no idea what this pipe is for! My niece used Lawson and recommended them, so I called. Within about 1/2 hour, I got a return call; I described the problem, and texted a pic of the leak. Michael arrived as soon as he could, and after having to leave to buy the correct hose, he was back to fix the leak. He was great about explaining several other issues I asked him about even though by then it was about 10pm. But thanks to him, I could sleep that night knowing I wouldn't wake to a flooded back yard and gallons and gallons of wasted water. I will use Lawson again and certainly would recommend them.
It was great that a plumber was able to come the same day, on a Saturday. However the office said he would call on the way, unfortunately he didn't call and just showed up. Thankfully someone was home. He looked, but took until Monday to get a diagnosis and quote for fixing. Service was friendly and follow through has been great.

I had to leave for Cali, but I was also concerned about one of my pipes that I thought was the main line. The lady who took the call said they can arrange someone out there soon. It turned out it was not the main line but the irrigation line. They did not charge me for turning it off. Said I should call a landscaper as it might be cheaper for them to fix it. Anyways I was just thrilled it wasn't the main line. Honest Company! Will call again should I need plumbing done!

The reviews are true! This is a great plumbing company. I've had two service calls in the last week and both were honest, good, quick work. They didn't make me feel small with technical terms. They fixed what was needed without replacing the whole unit or major repairs. I was able to get on their schedule within 24 hours and both arrived on time or early. This will be my new plumber!
Great Local Company...Robert showed up at our scheduled appointment time exactly on time (which is unheard of in terms of Electricians, AC Techs and Plumbers) and was very friendly and personable.
Robert took care of my request in a timely manner and the work (especially the soldering..almost like a work of art..lol) was top notch.
The only aspect of the engagement that could use improvement was how they handle customers (I was a first time customer who purchased a Lawson Yelp coupon for $100 for $75 dollars) who utilize Yelp Coupons. I would not use another Yelp coupon with Lawson due to the awkwardness of the transaction (and the awkwardness was not on Robert's part) but will definitely use Lawson Family Plumbing again.
I had a leak that I thought was my main water line. I called and had a service call set up for New Year's Day. Response was fast and friendly. There was no service call and no holiday rates. I went through some challenges and the issues were diagnosed and pricing provided with no upselling. Turned out my main water line was fine and it was issue with irrigation system. My other challenges were solved in real time. Mike was fantastic, informative, and friendly. Great experience!
Robert, came over today , We had a problem with the garbage disposal not working. He quickly diagnosed the problem. Apparently a switch got shut off , Robert was honest enough to tell me the truth instead of charging me for a replacement or trying to fix a problem that didn't exist. I also had him look at our bathtub , since the water was not draining well. After a few minutes he removed a bunch of hair out of the clogged drain and now its good as new. I found Lawson Family Plumbing on Yelp with a high star rating and can tell you they deserve it. This is my first time using Lawson Family Plumbing and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable, honest dependable professional Plumber.

Another great experience! Had a lot of work done by Lawson a month or so ago. Recently, my new toilet got clogged and my plunger wasn't fixing it. Called my trusted plumber and they came out the same day. They could have charged me for the call but didn't!! They do treat you like family and don't try to nickel and dime you!! Lawson Family Plumbing came to the rescue on a Saturday when no one else would respond. They were fairly priced, the plumber went above and beyond at no extra charge and the office staff was extremely helpful, kind and courteous.
I recently received a check in the mail from them because following an internal audit they discovered they overcharged me for my services months ago by mistake. If this doesn't show the level of honesty and integrity this company has, I don't know what does. Lawson plumbing helped my family tremendously. We had a huge leak that was costing $450 per month in water bills. I had several quotes on rerouting the pipes. Some quotes were lower but they said the couldn't promise to restore water to everywhere it went before. Another quote was also cheaper but they wanted to use inferior materials. Lawson plumbing gave a reasonable quote, did excellent work, used much better materials(copper vs pvc), and restored water to everywhere. I couldn't be happier. I have used them before and have no complaints.

I am so impressed by this company! I called them on a Saturday and they had a plumber on-site within one hour. Their technician worked for four hours trying to solve the drainage problem in a rental condo. It turned out that the issue was not in the condo. It was over 40 feet away from the condo in a drain that is, technically, under control of the HOA. So, the HOA's plumber had to clear the line and handle the repair. Well, Lawson didn't charge us ANYTHING for the job because they couldn't solve the problem. I'm amazed! That is incredible customer service. I will tell everyone I know about this company. That's a level of service that's hard to find anymore. Thanks Lawson!
*UPDATE* - Change from 3 to 4 stars. I don't think it was an hour after posting my experience with LFP, when I received a call from Jeff - the owner.
Jeff first noted that the pricing I posted didn't have any comparisons, and that he almost never gets complaints about pricing. Jeff mentioned two other large, popular plumbing companies by name that have far higher pricing than LFP. I've called one of them before - - and he's right - - not only is their pricing higher, but they have a 2 star yelp review status. Both reasons are why I've never hired them.
Jeff also explained some of my work was flat rate.
He told me there was an error on my invoice, and was making a price adjustment accordingly. With the price adjustment, LFP's rate is now much more tolerable - - and we will in fact consider them for future work.
He said that they take their 5 star yelp status seriously (and he should - - that's what made me a new customer), and I should have first called LFP prior to leaving a 3 star review. I disagreed with Jeff on this point (that I should have called him first). While I understand that LFP wants to maintain a good online reputation, I really had nothing to call and complain about: the work was completed correctly and the invoice gave me no indication that there was a pricing error. Unless I've been price gouged (I was not), or there was an invoicing error (I did not detect one), I am not going to call you and complain that I don't like your pricing. I firmly believe that businesses may price their services as they please.
In summary - I very much appreciate Jeff's commitment to providing both quality and value with LFP's services. His phone call to me is evidence of his dedication to satisfied customers. The invoice correction means we will be able call LFP for help in the future.

I am a landlord with multiple properties in the east valley. We often hire plumbers - - not just for repairs, but also for maintenance, appliance installations, and upgrades. The licensed plumber we've used in the past has great pricing, but is often not available as quickly as we need - - and occasionally his workmanship requires rework.
I called Lawson after reading yelp reviews, hoping to find a new plumber we can do business with on a regular basis. LFP returned my call a few hours after I left a message on Mothers Day (I was surprised, but pleased). I described the work I needed done, and we scheduled their plumber to arrive this morning. The person returning my call was friendly and courteous.
They arrived on time. We inspected and discussed the work I needed completed, and I agreed with the verbal estimate. I would likely have agreed to any estimate because LFP has a yelp 5 star rating with nearly 150 reviews - - - this tells me they're not ripping people off and that they care about their reputation. Their yelp rating is the reason I called.
The work was completed in 2.25 hours - - -but about 20-25 minutes of that includes the time the tech had to leave to buy a part to connect my dishwasher. I was a little surprised that he did not have the part(s), because I advised them during my first call that I needed a dishwasher hooked up, and that I had not purchased anything but the dishwasher.
The tech removed my old dishwasher, connected and tested the new one, removed and replaced a sink disposal (and tested), removed and replaced the hot water riser, and removed and replaced the hot water stop valve. I was satisfied with the technician's work. The tech applied a $50 discount to my invoice.
So why the three-star rating? Mainly price.
LFP does not specify every line item for parts and labor on their invoice- - but it's easy enough for me to comparatively price up the parts, and then compute Lawson's labor rate.
If I bought all the parts used on this job (exact) at the big orange store, they would have cost me $150 (actually $147.66 tax included). My invoice was $583 - - which works out to $192 an hour for labor.
$192 an hour for labor includes my discount - - and is also the rate I paid for the time the tech left to buy parts. Without the discount the rate is $215 an hour.
I don't pretend to understand the plumbing business, or the components behind the hourly rate. I also understand that some jobs are flat rate. And LFP absolutely may charge whatever they care to.
But our little rental business spends many thousands on plumbing supplies, fixtures, and services every year. As a business, we are more sensitive to pricing than if we were only calling the plumber once every 3-5 years to clear a drain at our home or replace the water heater. Our business can not tolerate $200 an hour labor rates for plumbers - -- - That's almost what we pay our attorney.
Although the work was completed on-time, courteously, and with good workmanship; pricing will likely preclude us from putting LFP at the top of our partner list.
I have used Larson Family Plumbing several times over the years and have never been disappointed. This last time I received a call that my house was flooded after just 3 weeks of having new flooring installed. I raced out to my home in Arizona from California to take care of the problem. I contacted Larson Family Plumbing and Joe, from Larson, came out and took care of my leaky washer and toilet valves. What a relief to know that I am receiving professional service, reasonable pricing and great customer service. Joe went above and beyond in his customer service. He explained what he was doing and why.....He took the time necessary to make sure I knew what was needed to be done. Not only that, he checked the water pressure coming into my home and determined that my pressure regulator had failed. Thank you Joe, and the entire Larson Family for taking care of my home.

Jason called 15 minutes before arriving to let me know he was on the way. He arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time. He was clean, professional, and extremely knowledgable. I also appreciated that he put on shoe covers before entering the house.
After showing him the fitting and the piping in the house, he clearly explained what I have, what it would cost to replace, and did not recommend replacing the piping at this time.

My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Lawson Family Plumbing. They are professional, have excellent customer service, and are quickly responsive. A while back we had them install two new toilets. We had issues with one of the toilets and they came back several times at no charge to help problem-solve the issues. A couple of days ago we noticed what we thought was a leak in our master bath shower and Lawson Family Plumbing came to diagnose the issue. They diagnosed the issue quickly and provided suggestions to us for how to fix what is going on, even though the solution does not include needing plumbing services. I found this plumber on yelp. My parents had a plumbing issue and I needed to find someone to help them as soon as possible. My mother called them they were prompt and came the next day. Their pricing is very reasonable their service is wonderful and they stayed until the job is completely done. It took over three hours to fix the problem and the technician never complained once. They charged my parents the original quoted fee even though the job took longer than expected. I can't express enough how much it means to have a company that you can count on with such great integrity. My mom was very impressed.
Second time I have used this company in the last 3 years. The actually charged me the same amount for the same type of service both times. I was surprised that was the case but very pleased. Things to note they didn't pull my leg with the work that needed to be done and they were available when I called. Have an honest plumber that is available is a nice thing when you have any kind of plumbing issue.

I had a new kitchen faucet that kept coming loose. I gave up on the first plumber and called Lawson Family Plumbing. Larry came out -- on time -- and fixed it. And he refused to charge me.

I called Lawson Plumbing on a Sunday after having one of my pipes explode in my bathroom flooding the bathroom & bedroom next to it. They were able to send a plumber that day. The plumber, Darrell, explained everything he was doing. He was knowledgeable & efficient. I would highly recommend Lawson Family Plumbing!
I called Lawson first thing in the morning to have them come to my house after discovering water coming into my house at 3am from an unknown spot. They sent Jason out to my house (he was awesome) by 1pm the same day. He was quickly able to discern the problem and didn't charge me since he discovered the source of the leak right away. He promptly explained everything that was going on, showing me pictures of the piping in the attic to explain the problem. My hot water heater was silent, we had no hot water in the house, thank goodness it is not cold yet...Called Old West Republic Home Protection people, they gave me a couple names, Lawson Family Plumbing had great reviews, so I picked them. Lawson responded quickly and scheduled a timely service call. The repair guy (Kevin) showed up and was courteous, professional and the best part was he was knowledgeable! He had my problem solved and I was up and running in less than 30 mins.

Thank you, arrived quickly and were very courteous and professional. I had a water backup and was concerned that there was a main line blockage. The problem was much simpler than that and they let me know they could camera and do a main line clean out as a preventative measure but didn't want to waste my money, why don't I watch and see if there were future problems before spending the money.
What a nice change of pace, I have managed rental homes for years and this is the first plumbing company I have run into that was concerned about me spending too much money. They also explained the problem and solution completely. I would definitely recommend them
I called Lawson Family Plumbing based on other people's reviews here. The service was great.... once the plumber arrived.
The day I was scheduled for a 2-5PM window, I called their office around 4:30 to get an ETA. I found out that the plumber had run into several traffic problems on his huge route that day and wouldn't be able to get to my house until 6:30-7:00 PM. That didn't work for me, so we rescheduled for the next day. I know that traffic and problems arise during the work day, but it would have been great if someone had contacted me and let me know, rather that me sitting and waiting for them for 2.5 hours only to find out *after I called* that they weren't going to be able to address my issue for several more hours.
The gal that I talked to at the office provided great customer service and was able to shuffle some other appointments around on the next day's schedule to get the time frame that I preferred for the repair.
On the rescheduled visit Mike was prompt, friendly, and resolved my plumbing issue (weeping pipe inside a wall) with complete professionalism. He completed the repair in a reasonable amount of time, and also diagnosed a rattling pipe issue that we've had for a while, too.

Great Customer Service! I called and the same day Sean came over. I told them it was not an emergency but still he came over same day. I thought the hose from the water valve to the toilet tank had a kink in it that was leaking. He said the last guy that worked on it just didn't tighten the nut enough and that is why it was leaking. So we reviewed the other items and another issue he fixed as simple too. The last issue was the leaking in my bathroom faucet. Well the corotion was so bad that we decided it would be best to replace the faucet he gave me a good quote. He will still be coming back to replace the faucet. I feel like I won the lottery I found a great plumber!

Had a problem with my water heater and was able to schedule the same day and had someone come out the next day. I had a gentleman named Rodney come out and he was very professional. He was able to get my water heater back on and working without having to replace the unit. I was very impressed because this was all done over the weekend. Very respectable business.
I called this company since I'm having issues with my master bath toilet flushing. I was appreciative that they could come out the very next day after I called for an appointment and even showed up well before my alloted time window. The only thing I felt was the offer of replacing the toilet was a little on the high side at over $500. Other than that Jeff did everything he could think of to try and solve the iasue without charging me anything. Thanks Jeff!

Getting a plumber is never something one looks forward to but 150+ 5 star reviews can't be wrong. I scheduled an appointment on a weekend for someone to come and was politely told there would be a $65 charge (understandable) I must say. I waited a few more days and had Kevin who was scheduled to come between 10-1. If anything I could only fault them for being so punctual (there at 9), that I thought I could allow myself to run a quick errand before. Kevin was great. Didn't talk over my head and fixed my issue (shower had been leaking for several weeks). He even installed the replacement shower head I had bought at no additional cost and I honored the Yelp discount as was told to me over the phone. Great company that I would definitely recommend.
Wow I am extremely impressed! I've been meaning to get my disposal fixed for the last few weeks and dreading calling for repair. I called Lawson based on their Yelp reviews and seriously, one hour and 10 minutes after my call the work was done and I have a better disposal for less money than the last one. Kenneth was the consummate professional and could not have been nicer. Lawson Family plumbing will be my first and only call from now on.

We had a leaky tub faucet, wasn't a terrible problem... this company was able to come out the same day I called and fix it. They sent a technician named Richard who did a great job! Their prices are reasonable and fair, they truly are a caring family business. Will use them again for all of our plumbing problems.
We called on a Sunday and someone answered the phone! They scheduled a plumber for Tuesday to evaluate a couple of concerns. The plumber arrived promptly (early actually)! The service was performed same day (minor issues) and done. After previous experiences of home repair companies taking forever to call back, rescheduling us, arriving late and/or no showing it is always nice to find a company that is there when they say they will be. The rates seemed reasonable. We will cal them again next time we are in need.
Had a leak that came through the ceiling at 130am. The worst!! Called Lawson plumbing at 4 am and they showed up at 8. Quickly assessed and fixed the problem. Awesome well done plumbing work both inside and outside the house. I will call Lawson first if I ever need plumbing work done again!!

I need to write an updated review. My review before was 5 stars, then I had to ask them to disconnect my water softener a few days after installation so the garage floor could be refinished. They came and took it out cheerfully and returned a fews days after the floor was done and reinstalled the softener....cheerfully, despite a very busy schedule and NO charge. Benjamin even encouraged me to call if I had any other issues. He is a person you can trust and really has the needs of the customer as his first priority. He's a great representation for the company!
Fast service response time & competent pro's! I called them the 1st time out to our dental office (Alluring Smiles in Mesa, AZ) I had a mini panic with a dripping sink & they came out within the hour! Needed some new valves in our home a couple weeks later (yet another leak just my luck) gave them a call & sure enough they were out fast, got everything fixed up! Thanks!

I'm updating my review based on the standard of customer service Jason provided. My negative review sparked a phone call from him. He listened to my description of the events in an open-minded way, not defensively. He was respectful of my comments and I believe genuinely wanted feedback in order to improve his organization's customer service. His personal attention and care about my satisfaction and the reputation of Lawson Family Plumbing was really excellent and won me over. I think my experience was a one-off, and I would not judge the entire organization by it.
Finally! A plumber that is timely, affordable and reliable!! This was my fourth attempt at hiring a plumber for three long term issues we had been having in our home. After other companies never called back, never showed up and never sent me estimates, I was getting so frustrated with trying to get someone out to complete the job. I called Lawson Family Plumbing and I was able to make an appointment for the next day, without any trouble, to fix two faucets and a clogged toilet. Jason K was awesome!! He was fast, friendly and professional. He gave a free estimate and had fixed all three issues in less than an hour. No trip charge, no hidden fees. I am so happy I found them on Yelp. I called Lawson Family Plumbing to come fix a leak in the shower...to my surprise they had some over within a few hours on a saturday. Kevin quoted me a price, I agreed, ans he had fixed less than hour. Kevin was awesome and friendly....definately gonna call again for the next plumbing issue....
I do not know where to begin. The guy who came out blew so much smoke up my ass I looked like a chimney. I think they use sub-contractors. This guy could not have been a salaried employee. $1200. for a $300 gas line. What can I say. He wanted to make his weekly salary on a 3 hour job.
OK gang, here's an update: Jeff, the owner of Lawson Plumbing called me after I posted this review and we had a pleasant conversation. Jeff explained that the higher price than what was expected was due to the City of Mesa permitting process and the delays and administrative work required. This added substantially to the quote. Jeff offered to work with me on this project to supply gas to my outdoor grill and I am pleased with the outcome and potential resolution to this project. Thanks to Jeff for calling. The customer service is excellent and I will definitely consider Lawson Plumbing for my future needs.

Larry just left our house. He adjusted a loose connection on our kitchen drain. He gave us a lot of information on what to watch for and we put a plan in place for the future if we might need to reroute the way the whole drainage system works under the sink. Then he gave us some information on our water softener and made some recommendations for the future. He was completely honest and helpful. He was here about 30 minutes and left without giving us a bill for his services. I cannot say enough good things about the way we were treated. If you need a plumber, look no further!
I'm a REALTOR so I sometimes need a quick bid for a buyer or seller on a plethora of different items ranging from loose faucets to Polybutylene re-pipes when we get the inspection back. I called Lawson Family Plumbing and they were able to get a technician out to give us a bid within hours and had the bid to us within minutes of the service call. It's hard to find responsive contractors in this day and age that's why I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber.
we had a pipe burst last night at about midnight. We called them and they came out in about an hour and fixed it. Our ceiling feel in and it looked like a much bigger deal than it was. I think there was an extra $65 charge to come in the middle of the night on a weekend. I'm really grateful that after cleaning up the mess with the ceiling installation I was able to take a shower. They made an impossible situation simple. I would highly recommend them. I figured the best way to show my appreciation was to leave them a review. I hope you read this and use them.

After I provided authorization, Jason resolved the issue in short time. Not only that, but he also advised then new tenants about what should and should not be put down the drain.

I called Lawson Family Plumbing to handle a difficult cartridge change in my shower and fix a failing valve under my kitchen sink. They were able to get me an appointment on the day I requested and Tony called the day of to let me know he was going to be early!
Once he arrived he was able to trouble shoot and fix my plumbing issues. He did a great job making sure there were no leaks after he was done.

Just the other day my hot water heater started leaking so much that it caused some damage to my house and I knew right away I needed a plumber. Mike Schellenberg was the Technician that come out to my house and he was a huge help. I'll be honest I hovered over him watching his work and questioning why and what was going on and what he was doing. I'm extremely impressed with Lawson Plumbing! I had a dishwasher installed incorrectly by the delivery company for Home Depot. The installer caused several issues with water pressure, my RO system and the brand new washer gave us a warning signal that there was a leak. I called Lawson and got a same day appt. Blake (I think that's his name) showed up and easily detected the problem. He restored our water flow which fixed our RO problem. He found the leak and gave us an option to let the delivery service fix their error or he would be glad to fix it. We decided to call Home Depot to fix the problem and we got it resolved. Blake was helpful, informative and they did not charge a fee for coming out. We have found a new plumber!!!!! Great service!

My family and I moved into our home in mid-2017. The water heater was newly installed upon purchase by the prior owner; however in October/November of last year a problem surfaced where the W/H began tripping our breaker, suddenly leaving us without hot water. I knew I'd soon have to look into the root cause to have it resolved, as resetting the breaker only worked to keep the water hot for a week or two before tripping it again. On December 14th (based on all the positive yelp reviews) I decided to give Lawson Family Plumbing (LFP) a call. Justin came out and diagnosed the problem as a faulty bottom element, we opted to replace the part. Justin was very professional and knowledgeable and did a great job making the repair.
Fast forward to the morning of January 28th and I as I step into our garage, I'm welcomed to the smell of something burning - smoke was coming from the bottom element which had just been replaced 45 days prior. I quickly shut the power off to the W/H and called LFP. Within a few hours they sent out a tech (Joe) to take a look. He wasn't definitive, however in his opinion he was pretty positive the bottom thermostat was causing the element to overheat - upon removing the bottom plate where the thermostat and element are housed, the plastic cover (which lays against the thermostat and element) was burnt up/melted and the surrounding insulation charred. Replacing the element would have been covered as it was still within the warranty period, however the labor was outside the 30-day coverage and I'd now have to replace the thermostat and pay the labor for that as well. At this point, I inquired about the cost of replacing the unit altogether - since this repair in addition to the first from mid-December was pushing the cost of a full unit replacement. Although the unit was fairly new (Feb. 2017), I didn't want to take any more chances as it was already proving to be a money pit. The replacement was a smooth process and overall I'm satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism of LFP. If I could have only known that the first repair was going to be all for naught, I wish I would have replaced the unit at that point. Oh well... it is what it is - my family and I have hot water now (and nothing burning up in our garage), so that's good. Thank you LFP.

Our plumber was prompt, friendly and did a great job replacing 3 faucets for us. They are a little pricey but the work was outstanding.
I had a non-time sensitive issue with my rental property's toilet so I called for an appointment. A friendly lady answered the phone and said they had an appointment readily available the next morning. The technician arrived on time and immediately began to work. He recommended replacing the toilet and surprisingly mentioned a big box hardware store would be the cheapest route, even though he could do the replacement for much more. He didn't charge for the visit to boot. Wow, very impressed with the dedication to helping the consumer and level of honesty. Would highly recommend this company for their outstanding integrity!

I went with the place because of the great reviews. The technician was quick with resolving the problem. The technician was professional. The price was outrageous. The part pricing was hugely marked up. $ 85 for a part that you can get at Home Depot for $7 max. $ 110 for toilet tank replacement parts. $310 to remove a toilet and replace a O ring. I would have been better off getting a handyman to do this work. I feel ripped off.

Not many businesses will step up and correct errors in this manner. I have used Lawson's for my primary residence (water heater installation, Faucet installation) and my rental (faucet installation, valve replacement, and drain stop replacement) .Always punctual, professional , leaves my place clean and debris free. They do things right and the prices aren't cheap, but they are honest.

REVISED: Oh my! Talk about customer service! I just received a call from the owner and am revising my original post. I called for a quote last night and, since this house is a rental, I needed to get the garbage disposal repaired or replaced ASAP for the nurses (renters) who are picky about cleanliness and making sure our kitchen sink drains freely. I contacted Lawson last night and this morning after receiving various quotes. Lawson's quote was fair and they had a technician who was available to come out and wake up these nurses (they work the night shift) so he could repair the disposal. He finally got them up and had the thing replaced in less than 40 minutes. I'd call them again, and I'm deleting my original post. Maybe they can fix the drain in the bathtub that has never worked in 50 years?
I've used them twice now for a bathroom remodel and each time the techs were very professional and quick! They're the only company I'll use for now on : )
UPDATE TO MY EARLIER REVIEW: Within minutes of posting my review I received a call from the owner, Jeffrey Lawson. He is the quintessential business person. I can see why the business has a FIVE Star Yelp review overall. OOPS ON MY PART FOR SOME OF THE MISUNDERSTANDING. I hadn't listened carefully enough when the filters were changed on my reverse osmosis. The fifth filter and heart of the system was a little more costly than the typical four I had been replacing in previous years. The tech did say to me that the fifth filter needed to be changed every ten years or so and I blanked that part. Hence the difference in cost. On the plus side for me Jeff pointed out that the pricing had not taken into consideration the other work I had done while the tech was here and he processed a credit to my Visa. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you to Lawson Family Plumbing. Just as Jeff said to me and by the way his tech told me this when he was in my home. The owner cares about the customer and wants to hear their feedback.
Lawson Family Plumbing was in my house on July 27th. This should have been a five star review except for one issue. I needed some work done on toilet parts and that work was done very well. The price felt right and so far no issues with any of the toilets.
Unfortunately they earned the three star review due to pricing on the Reverse Osmosis filter replacement. In the last ten years I have never paid more than $100 to have these filters replaced. Lawson's price was a whopping $275. I guess I should say shame on me for agreeing to have the work done. But I did and won't make that mistake again.
I do love these businesses that have great reviews as Lawson does. My son owns a local service business and hovers between 4 1/2 stars and five stars on Yelp. I know how hard it is to earn this kind of rating from your customers.

I have never been so impressed with the service I received from a plumber. We woke up this morning with sewer back up in our shower, bathtub, and both toilets. I found Lawson's online and saw that there was awesome reviews for service and price. I called them and they were out here 15 minutes earlier than the stated time! They explained everything in detail so I could understand it and then did the work. They were in and out in under 2 hours. Pricing was way less than I expected. Mike and Kenneth were super nice and answered all of my questions! God's willing, I won't need a plumber anytime soon, but if I do, I'm definitely calling Lawson's Plumbing!!!
I reached out to Lawson plumbing late one night after returning home from a 5 day vacay to an awfully scary sound coming from the water pipes in the walls. Nervous about the source of the sound, I shut off the water supply to the house and found Lawson in Yelp. They contacted me first thing in the morning and had a technician out right away. Unfortunately, my issue was related to irrigation which isn't Lawson's speciality. However, he was great and offered to shut off my water from the city so as to not waste more water. He was so helpful and left my mind at ease until I could get the irrigation guy out. Best thing - there was no charge since there was no work done. I know who I'll be calling in the future should I need any plumbing work!
Professional, Fast, Informative, Somewhat friendly, Way Overpriced.
The main issue with my bathtub was a leaky faucet. Essentially, the cold water knob didn't close the water line all the way so there was a constant leak coming out. I called Lawson Family Plumbing, with it's consistent 5-star reviews, since I usually turn to Yelp for the best service in any industry. The technician came within the same day and spent about an hour total to fix the issue and give the free estimate. In understanding the issue, he said I needed to replace the shower cartridge in each of the Hot/Cold water knobs. In creating the estimate, the quote was $250+ dollars. At first, I didn't question the quote since this is a highly rated professional plumbing service. After spending about 30 minutes fixing the leak and replacing the cartridges, the technician processed all of the paperwork and left me a few notes if I needed to fix other plumbing issues around the house.
After doing a bit of research, I don't understand why I paid $250+ dollars to replace shower cartridges in my bathtub. A shower cartridge costs maybe $50-$60/each with a hot and water knob that's $100-$120 right there. The technician spent less than an hour doing the actual fixing/installation, but I understand charging an hour worth of his time. Hourly rate of a plumber is what, $50-$60? So I truly don't understand how I was charged such an outrageous price for all of this. Did I pay for adamantium-grade shower cartridges? If someone from the company can break down the costs for me I would greatly appreciate it. Would I recommend their plumbing services to others? Sure, if money is not a factor in repairing your needed home issues. Next time, I guess I'll just take the estimate and dig into YouTube myself.

After discussing with the owner about my quote and breaking down the cost, I now understand why it was priced at $250+ dollars. For those of you who didn't know, like me, you are paying for a licensed plumbing company therefore the hourly cost of labor will be higher than what you pay for in comparison to someone on Craigslist. Yes, the average hourly cost if you research online is probably $50-$65 dollars, but that's essentially seeking out a self-employed plumber on Craigslist. The owner, Jeff, was very prompt, kind, and empathetic towards my dilemma as he did what he could to remedy the situation. With a partial refund, I now understand the mistake on my part to assume $250+ was a ludicrous amount. Yet again, based upon my first review, Lawson Family Plumbing, did a terrific, quick, and informative job in fixing my faucet and leak and providing advice for future issues. My only gripe was just the price, but now I know what to expect in future plumbing needs. Depending on your quote and budget, these are great people to work with.

Original post:Called today to see about having someone look at my kitchen sink. Yes it is Sunday but says they are open 24/7. First time - disconnected. Not sure if I was hung up on or not- phone didn't say call failed but will give benefit of the doubt as my cell gives me problems in the house. Called back and phone was promptly answered and asked to hold. I was on hold for over 5 minutes. From the reviews I thought this was prompt and courteous service.
Knew exactly what the potential issues were, talked me through the possibilities, and quickly worked through them. (thankfully it was the first and easiest to fix) Larry did a great job. They called a couple times when they knew they would be able to arrive early. I'm already planning on using them again.
Needed someone to take a look at the faucet and to change the filters on the RO system. Blake came out and was able to change the filters and somewhat fixed the faucet. It wasn't his fault, I just need to get a new faucet. While he was there, he found that my water heating was leaking. Gave me quotes for a new water heater and a tankless water heater on the spot. Had him come out a couple days later and install the new water heater and a competitive price. Will have them come out again for the faucet replacement. Great company.
This is the second time I've used Lawson -- this time to repair a toilet that was flushing too long. Once again, great customer service. Answered the phones quickly, got me a fast appointment, the service tech Jason K. arrived on time and was extremely nice. He did a great job without any issues. My experience today with Lawson's plumbing was amazing. I've had multiple plumbers out over the last two years but this was the first time I really felt that I had people with true knowledge and good work ethics doing the job. Lawson is an exceptional company to do business with. They promptly return phone calls and call you in advance to confirm their arrival. Jason installed a new water softener for us this weekend and he is, without doubt, one of the best plumbers in town. He takes great pride in his work and does an outstanding job overall. We had a water leak that was unknown that caused us to use 180,000 gallons of water in a month. I called Lawson Family Plumbing and they dispatched service to us the same day. We were given a window of 1pm - 4pm and at 3pm, the plumber, Tony called to let me know he would be there by 3:30pm. He arrived timely and worked outside in the pouring rain until he could provide us with a solution. Trust me it wasn't easy to determine, but Tony was persistent and didn't stop until he found the problem. I will definitely use this service again if needed.

Just had them out here to pull my toilet, as the wax ring and anchor bolts had to be replaced (a bolt broke right off yesterday when I was cleaning).
I got same day service, they waive the service-call fee if you have them do the work, their prices are on the lower end of competitive, their technician was professional & fast and the cleanup? PERFECT! I would recommend them to my 82 year-old mother!

These guys are great! I have used them twice now, once for a leaky hot water heater and once to replace a toilet. On both occasions, Lawson Family Plumbing was very quick to respond and had a plumber out quickly. I felt the work that I received was very good and a good value on cost. I would not hesitate to use them again for any plumbing needs.
Best home service experience I've EVER had--no BS. From when I first inquired about if they could help with our garbage disposal to when the tech left my house, the service was extremely prompt and knowledgeable. I had a Saturday appointment between 8-11 and to my complete surprise, the tech showed up at 8 on the dot. I honestly think this was the first time I had a home services company show up within the allotted time, let alone at the start of it. Highly recommend this company when your in need of some plumbing help.

Only a week after moving into our new home we had a Horrible back up in the downstairs bathroom that leaked into the adjacent bathroom and hallway. Needless to say this was a total MESS -literally... Called for a loose kitchen faucet that required special tools to fix and called at 10am they were at the house at 2pm same day to fix and service was great will use them again and recommend them.

Called the company to set up a service call for my son's home. He had a leak in the garage coming from the upstairs bathroom. They were able to detect the leak in a matters of minutes. Scheduled to come back the next day to repair it as it was not an emergency. (Slow leak that was happening over a year) Scheduled day appt. came and no one showed. I phoned the office and they immediately sent Jason P. their field manager to come do the repair. They were extremely apologetic for the scheduling delay. Mentioned they had a water emergency for another client. Repair was finished and they discounted the bill. They went the extra mile and made me Happy Customer! I had an urgent need to get a leakinig toilet base repaired ASAP and Lawson Plumbing provided excellent scheduling and follow up. Craig was sent out today and arrived early to meet my husband's work schedule. Craig was very knowledgable, efficient,honest, and clean which was so important as the wax ring seal had failed and was leaking sewage. Craig was extremely patient with clean up and did a fantastic reinstall as well as easily addressed a failing inside tank filler. Needed to have garbage disposal installed. Lawson Plumbing was able to get job done same day. Price for installing the garbage disposal was very reasonable. The gentleman who installed the disposal was very friendly and informative. He was courteous and made sure area was clean prior to leaving. Highly recommend and will use them again.

I was a little hesitant when I saw nearly perfect reviews for this company but I shouldn't have been. I really never leave reviews but had to here. We messaged Lawson Family Plumbing last night and was on the phone with them within the hour. They send someone out today as a part of their free estimate. They were here for almost an hour and listened to all the appliance pipes. They determined that the leak was coming from the irrigation system and said that they do not do irrigation. Although we cannot go through this company we appreciate the help and information they gave us. They took the time to make sure they were thorough and helpful. And although we couldn't give them our business we can see why they have a good reputation.
I needed some emergency plumbing repair on a Sunday. I found a lot of plumbers who advertise 'emergency service' but they only operate Monday thru Friday. But then I found Lawson Family Plumbing and called them about 11 AM Sunday. They took my info and gave me a 7-10 PM window.
Greg, the plumber, called me at 3:15 to say he was well ahead of schedule and would arrive within 30 minutes. He also waived the extra trip charge since he was arriving prior to 5 PM. It took him less than an hour to correct our problem. I thought the charge was reasonable and the work was professional. I have Lawson Family Plumbing in my list of service & repair contractors and would definitely recommend them and would be calling them for any future pluming needs.
Recently had my water heater replaced and some other odd jobs taken care of. Darrell was very professional and did a good job.
We had a clogged drain and needed a plumber soon. When we called, Lawson had a cancellation and we were able to get service in a few hours. Mike arrived promptly even before we had originally expected and did an excellent job. Prior to arrival we received a call that he was on his way. Thankfully he was able to fix our clog for a reasonable price. Great job and we will use Lawson again when we have need for a plumber.

Upon review submittal I received a telephone call from the owner with apologies for how my call was handled. Without going into detail the issue was/will be addressed. That said it is important note that you can ask your home warranty company for a cash out. You then go to ANY company you would like and pay for the service. Send your home warranty company copies of the new receipts and you are covered again. This puts the consumer in the drivers seat. As previously mentioned we do have choices. Thank you for the follow up call.
Not pleased with my initial experience with this company. Called and requested an estimate on a new gas water heater. Automatically given a price of $1,044.63 for heater, install and haul away services. Requested more detailed information; a break down of the cost for the actual water heater itself. Was told someone needed to come out to provide an estimate. Up to this point the conversation is just fine. I obtained a time when someone could come to my home and provide an estimate. The call took a turn when I asked if they worked with any of the home warranty companies. I was then lectured on how home warranty companies operate and that they ONLY work with their own vendors. I provided the name of the home warranty company and was told they didn't have a relationship with them and that I needed to contact them directly. Because I have a very clear understanding of how my home warranty works I wasn't going to argue, instead I just cancelled the quote trip. I didn't appreciate the lecture. It is simply wrong to assume that consumers that contact you are uneducated regarding their needs/resources. Businesses need to understand that as a consumer I have CHOICES! Considering your high ratings I was looking forward to working with you. I am very disappointed and will take my business elsewhere.
Honest as the day is long and very capable. Rates are good, sometime you may need to wait a little wile for him to get back to you but he is worth the wait. Never misses appointments
I had never heard of Lawson Family Plumbing, but found they had the best reviews on Yelp.
I had a slab leak (We live on a rock bed and the original installation was suspect) and called them at 7 am (they answered the phone!) and got someone out the same day to diagnose the problem. Blake and his crew completely re-routed the hot water recirculating line through the attic with minimal damage, along with a faulty shut off valve and check valve.
The price was reasonable, fast, and best of all, they were courteous, cleaned up and did everything to solve my problem before they left. No jackhammers, or messes left behind.
They also use high tech equipment (leak detector and a borescope) to pinpoint leaks, pipes and manifolds, and minimize damage.
I have a home warranty and I am ditching it. The companies what work with my home warranty never solve the problem and collect their $80. I didn't even bother calling them based on previous experience.
We are not local, but owned some property in the Mesa area.
We needed someone to do the assessment and report back with a plan and budget - then, of course, do the work.
In sum:
Great service, reliability and feedback.
We would use them again.

Jason came out on short notice (24 hours) and made a needed repair in my home. Honestly it was quite a challenge but he handled it brilliantly and with a great attitude. I called Lawson Plumbing based off of their stellar online reviews. I had a plumbing leak in my house and I was on vacation. The after hours person was very helpful on the phone and after talking I decided I would wait until normal business hours (even though the after hours charge is only $65). When I called the next morning they did not have availability for a couple days. They referred me to another company, which I thought was very nice of them. I did not even call the other company, because they were even further from my house. I called Lawson back and explained that I would really like to have them do the work since they have such great feedback. I told them my schedule upon returning home and they placed me on hold for a few minutes. When they came back on the line they had rearranged their schedule to accommodate mine. They had Kenneth there first thing the next morning. It took 3.5 hours to diagnose and fix the problem, and he even had to go to the store. They only charge based upon the fix and I felt that it was very reasonable and great service. He also arranged for Dry Force to come out and assess the damage and dry the house out. They were great to work with as well. Thank you!
I had a major plumbing issue with clogged pipes that had lots of residue in the pipes. And was affecting my washer dishwasher and kitchen sink. They were able to get that all out and cleaned by jetting it out. My pipes were nasty but they worked on them persistently and was able to get them as good as new. Thank you so.....much. The Lawson family plumbing company is a company I highly recommend. They kept me informed and did a an excellent job. I had no plumber and looked them up on Yelp. I am very happy and would use them again. Also a big thank you to Robert and Mike they were the ones that came out to my house and worked hard to get my plumbing issue resolved.

Our water heater was leaking and way past due for a new one. After an attempted DIY ran into some problems we started our search for a plumber around 7:30 on a Saturday night. They sent a quote back within 20 minutes and even had an appointment for the next day! We had to work a little on the box to dry it out first, so we scheduled for Monday instead. Vic called 25 minutes before he came and towards the beginning our our time frame. He took care of everything we needed, made the repairs, and put in the new one within a couple of hours. The price seemed average and we were able to use the coupon deal on the yelp page. He was professional and friendly.
Called to unclog toilet. Quick, easy scheduling. My wife said the plumber was nice. He used the auger and cleared out a wad of TP. Worked great afterwards. Charge ended up being over $100. Bit pricey compared to other local plumbers, BUT the service was great.

Called on New Year's day for issues with my electric water heater, they were able to send someone out that afternoon. Mike arrived on time to asses the damage. He was knowledgeable and offered two options. Based on his recommendation We chose to replace the water heater due to its age. The cost was on the lower end of the average based on some brief internet searches. They were able to install today and within a few hours we were back in business. He also provided general maintenance procedures and some suggestions for cost savings in the future. I would use this company again and would recommend them to my friends and family.
Called Lawson today after figuring out that my disposal needed to be replaced. In doing my research for bids, most other companies were not open on Saturday and the couple that I did get ahold of didn't anything until Monday and I just got the general feeling that the other people I called were not really concerned with my issue.
From the moment I spoke with Lawson, it was obvious they were happy to help me and flexible in getting someone out. They had Kevin out here within 30 mins and 20 mins after that, my disposal was replaced and everything is done! price wise, they were very competitive to the other bids I got, the difference being that Lawson had a professional to my house quickly and I received friendly service both over the phone and when Kevin showed up to replace my disposal. (vs the other bids where I felt like they didn't really care to earn my business, and more importantly, fix my issue quickly!)

Extra bonus - Kevin had plastic booties on his shoe before I even opened the door, so no tracking in dirt into my house. I don't know how many times I had other contractors work on something in the house and they see that I don't wear shoes in my house but either don't care or don't pay attention. It's good to see people take notice of the little things, devil is in the details after all.
My plumbing repairs weren't an emergency but they still attended to them with urgency. After checking out the issue, Mike presented me with the cost of the repair, with me purchasing the parts or with me purchasing the parts from them. I thought that was nice of them to do rather than insisting (and lying) that they're the only ones with the parts.
After I approved the work, all repair was done promptly. He also took a few moments to give me some tips on maintaining and prolonging the new parts. Again, I feel above and beyond.

I'm very pleased. We had an issue at 7 pm on a Thursday night with our shower, I called 2 other plumbers that couldn't send someone out until the next day. Called Lawson and they had someone at my house within an hour. Very nice on the phone and in person. I'll use them again in the future.
Very helpful. On-time, professional, explained the situation when it turned out what we thought was a simple clog turned out to be a sewer collapse. After hearing our story about previous collapses, he looked at the work another plumbing company had performed and discovered that the other company was at fault for not fully repairing our sewer line. He thoroughly documented the issue, including giving us a copy of the camera footage.
First of all about 10 minutes after you talk to Jeff ya gonna wanaa give'em a hug. He's like a big'O teddy bear and a sweetie-pie ta boot! Even his crew that worked on my bathroom were just a bunch of sweethearts. Just really nice people with good, positive energy. Like they're happy or something.

I don't know anything about plumbing or showers or anything building archtectuallaleee! All I wanted was the leak stopped and that disgusting shower replaced. So when we talked to Jeff about it, he (interior designer that he is) made suggestions on putting in a shower that was sexy. I listened and looked up pics on the internet and, DING, who knew a shower (MY SHOWER) could have such appeal
Long story short - we now have a cool and sexy shower that looks like it belongs in a spa (I'm now chargin for showers in my bathroom) and no more slab leak.

Can't say enough positive about Michael B. and the Lawson Family Plumbing group! Called and told them about my issue with a commode that was backing up. Customer service person was polite and communicated a later afternoon appointment time. I expressed concern and ask if it would be okay to shop for an possible alternative that could come earlier. She remained very polite and simply asked if I did find an alternative could I please let them know. Within five minutes she called me back and stated that on occasion they had cancellations and would be okay if they called if they had one. Of course!!! Please and thank you!. Ten minutes later she informed me that they indeed had a cancellation and that I should be receiving a call from the technician shortly giving me an arrival time to my location. Michael called when he was ten minutes out and arrived on time. He was transparent about the billing given the possible situations and expressed his desire to keep the cost at a minimum. I have to say that I was partial to Michael not just because of his quality work, but my blue healer seemed to like him and she doesn't like anyone! In the end the service was rendered at the cost stated and I am very satisfied with the result and the price! You get what you pay for!!!
I called Lawson Family plumbing on Black Friday, to fix a leaky valve outside my house that raised my water bill. They were very prompt in responding. Nick, their courteous technician showed up next morning on time. It was a minor fix,though he advised me to keep an eye on my water bill. He did not give me false stories about how complicated the problem was and will cost a fortune. He just fixed the issue in a few minutes and charged me nothing. Our water heater stopped working on a Saturday (great timing). I found Lawson Family Plumbing on yelp and the reviews were great. We made an appt and the earliest they had avail was Sunday (the next day). But about 1 hour later or so we get a call that they had a cancellation. They were at our house by 4pm on Saturday and we had a new hot water heater installed. The technician did a great job and the price is very fair.
I highly recommend Lawson Plumbing. Benjamin came out on short notice and was knowledgeable, efficient and professional. I had tenants that complained that our shower drain was slow and that our toilet didn't flush properly. Benjamin inspected and said everything was working properly. Even though no work was done they didn't even charge me a trip fee. They are my go to plumbers going forward.

In an industry that doesn't have a great reputation for customer service, these guys know what's up. I called Lawson Family Plumbing after tenants told me of multiple issues at a property. The folks on the phone were friendly and helped me schedule an appointment within a couple days. Jason contacted the tenants on the way to the home and checked all the issues noted in the house. He walked me through the issues on the phone and provided recommendations for solutions in addition to best and worst case scenarios. He was professional and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend these folks! I will only be using Lawson Family Plumbing in the future.
What a great experience! Kevin was fast and helpful and overall so friendly!! He was able to assess and fix quickly!! We also had some water damage and he referred us to a restoration company that came out within an hour! Hopefully we won't need a plumber again, but if we do, these are the guys we will call.
What do you know - an honest, reliable, communicative plumber! Had a refrigerator delivered by HD who could not install because We can't do that because we can't shut off the valve. Called Lawson plumbers and was able to get someone within 2 days. Kevin called ahead to see if he could arrive a bit early. Raining outside so Kevin wore booties to keep floor clean. It was a simple fix (shut off valve behind washer - HD couldn't figure out!). He didn't even charge me for the call! How many plumbing companies would do that? They're now going to give me an estimate for two BR remodels. I'll update with estimate and/or remodel reviews.
Jason came out the same day we called - a SATURDAY. We knew we had a hot water leak, and couldn't be more pleased at how responsive they were. They answered when we called ( the woman was very friendly) , and quickly assured me someone would be out that same day. We had a serious problem with gallons and gallons of water pouring right down the drain in my dad's tub when we came to visit on a Sunday. My husband called, and we got amazing help. Both the owner of the company and his assistant gave us excellent, knowledgeable service very quickly, and with very reasonable rates. We were only in town for a couple of days, and it was a relief when we left to feel completely confident that the problem was fixed. I've told my relatives in the area that this is a great company to use!
After living in my house for only about 15 days i had a pretty severe plumbing issue, my master bathroom, washing machine, kitchen sink and dishwasher were all flooding out of the bathroom when i would use them. I have a warranty service, they came out twice and quickly deemed it roots and went on their way because it is not covered. I started to research high rated plumbers on yelp and came across Lawson. I called quickly and got a technician to come out in a few days, the estimate proved that Lawsons prices were going to be higher than what the warranty company said they would charge BUT from the get go, the customer service, communication and skill were unparalleled by Lawson. My technician was David, and let me tell you, this guy was AWESOME! He was more than willing to explain everything to me as well as show me what was going on and answer any and all questions. He located a collapsed pipe and executed the excavation with amazing precision! He went above and beyond and took so much pride in his work! With the pipe repaired, my drain pipe was still backing up and David was able to clear it even when my warranty company was not! I will need a repipe in the future due to some old orangeberg pipes and you can bet i will be calling Lawson and specifically requesting David when the time comes! What a fantastic company! I've used them twice now and couldn't be more pleased. They've always been competitive as far as pricing, they have no hidden fees and they don't nickel and dime you. This last time, I needed a utility sink installed. I thought I had bought the wall mounted version, but it turns out I didn't. Tony mounted it to the wall for me at no extra charge. We called Lawson late on a Sunday night when our driveway and sidewalk decided to become a natural spring - while it wasn't flooding our house, it wasn't fun seeing my next paycheck being washed away down the street at a rate of 21 gallons per minute (ouch). The technician on call answered the phone and assured us that somebody would be out in the morning to take a look. Sure enough, he was able to come out even earlier than the window they gave and was able to shut off the water at the meter and stem the flood in our driveway. He was very professional and friendly. Although the estimate came in a little over above our budget and we ultimately went with a different company, I have to give Lawson five stars because they offered such good service and didn't even charge us for coming out and shutting off the water when we didn't know what to do. We will definitely be considering Lawson for future plumbing needs
I am totally satisfied with the work done by this company's and especially one of their employees Robert. He called at 7:45AM when he was on his way to our home for an 8 AM appointment to say he may be 15 minutes late for his appointment time. Most companies give you a 3-4 hour window to arrive and then are lucky to make it in that time period.
Robert had driven an extra 60 plus miles to pick up a water softener that we ordered so he could install it that morning. Great Service in my book.

I noticed my water heater was leaking, and called Lawson Family Plumbing at 6:30am on a Saturday. Jason came out that afternoon to replace the supply lines to my water heater. He was knowledgeable and efficient and answered all my questions. While he was there he alerted me to other plumbing issues, and gave me quotes, but no hard sales pitch. I'm happy with the prompt service and fair prices. This is my new go-to plumber.
We are new to the area and relied on Yelp to find a plumber. We were not disappointed with Lawson Family Plumbing. Contacted them yesterday regarding no hot water in guest shower. They were able to come out today and arrived a little earlier than the window timeframe I was given. Shawn was great. Diagnosed problem right away and whole issue was fixed in less than an hour for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend this company.
I recently used Lawson Family plumbing to fix my bathroom sink. Jason arrived to make the diagnosis (no charge!!!) after showing me the problem, parts were purchased and he returned to fix the problem at a fair price. I was surprised when the initial visit was no charge, somewhat unheard of. Jason was extremely prompt and efficient. I didn't wait around all day for him to show up. He arrived on the early part of our two hour window! He did a great job and I would definitely use the company in the future!!
Wanted quote over the phone for a 3/4 horsepower garbage disposal and installation, would not quote over the phone, wanted to send plumber (waste of time and don't want to be pressured) and instead hung up on me. This WILL be indicative of the poor service you will get --- WATCH OUT!!
We contacted Lawson Family Plumbing, based on customer reviews. We initially called them for aleaking diverter on a tub. Darryl was the tech that was dispatched. We discussed some of the things we would like to do to our home. He took the time to give us an estimate which we thought was very reasonable for the work involved. Needless to say we went ahead with them, not only for this project, but they replaced our son's water heater as well. Same day service on that. Our project was extensive, as we had the entire home replumbed, water softener, RO system, new water heater, sink, garbage disposal, faucet in kitchen, laundry area, including new incoming line from meter, as well as new shower set up. It was a three day project. Darryl and Kevin did an outstanding job and we highy recommend this company.
To paint the picture. It was Sunday morning and my wife text me to say that there is water under our washing machine. After some checking water was over spilling from our house drain from the washer. I called around I was glad to find that Lawson didn't charge an absurd amount of money for a Sunday emergency service call. They were able to get someone to my home that same day. The plumber showed up early was knowledgeable and fast. It was a great price and great service. I will definitely be using them in the future for my tankless water heater and my water softener. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

This company is efficient and professional. It was very easy to set up an appointment. I like that there is no trip charge. When the tech arrives, you get a quote. Because I could not be physically present, I was impressed by the phone calls that I received from my tech, Michael. At every step of the way, he explained what was happening, what the cost would be and then asked for my permission to proceed. After the work was completed, Michael immediately sent me my Invoice. I plan to continue using Lawson Family Plumbing for all of my future plumbing problems.
Had a leak at the main water meter. Called Lawson, within 1 hour had Joe the best plumber out. He figured out what the issue was, fixed it, and was very professional!! Best company in Arizona! This was an after hours call that needed to be fixed asap and they exceeded expectations!!

My garbage disposal was broke so I went onto yelp to find a plumber, when I asked for quotes from numerous companies I received a very prompt response from Lawson plumbing. The lady was very courteous and professional when booking a appointment for a free estimate. He came on time, did a excellent job and I am very satisfied.
DONT BOTHER. Advertise that they don't charge extra for emergency services but when I called was told they do. SHADY.

Great Experience with Lawson Family Plumbing. I've had an outside house bib leak for years.. over time it's progressively got worse. I called and scheduled a free estimate. The technician phoned me as he was on his way- great communication. The problem was diagnosed and an estimate was given. They were reasonable and worked with me on the repair cost. Repairs were made in a professional manner.
Slab leaks have got to be the worst. It's going to be expensive, any way you cut the cake. I had one in my kitchen and called another well-advertised plumber based on a friend's recommendation. Should have checked Yelp first, duh! [He only had 3 star average, most always due to sky high costs]. This other plumber wanted almost $800 just to find the leak!
I quickly did a little Yelp research, found Lawson, called them and the owner assured me the electronic locator firm he worked with would be reasonable. He was, only $200 for his services. Everything from there on was smooth as silk. Leak located. Lawson jack hammered through the tile and slab, located the pin hole leak, covered all my nearby furniture, assessed the water damage, and suggested a water mitigation company who was also out that same day. Lawson itemized my bill for the insurance adjuster which proved very valuable. The charges were very fair and reasonable, the work was done in a timely and professional manner, and I could not be happier with Lawson Family Plumbing.

I wouldn't necessarily recommend them, but they got the job done.
The repair was for my water faucets behind my washer (where hot and cold fill hoses connect to).
What happened is I was disconnecting the water hose behind it, I could take the hose off but the water was leaking. I could not turn the handle to turn the water off, it was basically stuck. So, what I wanted is a new handle on both so I could easily turn the water on and off.
At first, he said it would be $385 and I immediately said, absolutely not.
He said he was kidding.
Then he said No, the real price is $285 to do this job. I told him I thought that was a bit high and that I'd think about it, starting to lead him to the door.
Then he said he could go as low as $245. but he didn't want his boss to be mad at him. lol.
I was still starting to walk him to the door. He was explaining to me how they charge different people different prices for the same job - depending on if you were a property manager, repeat customer, new customer ... It felt slightly awkward.
Then he asks, How much would you be willing to pay? I didn't tell him this, but honestly, I have no idea what the normal rate is for a job like that. I didn't think we would be wheeling and dealing. So I just told him a total of about $150 - that's what it'd be worth to me. Then he says, Well, I can do it for $195 - how would that be? I finally agreed. Then, he saying again something about how his boss might be mad at him for offering these prices. lol. Here's the thing, I'm an old lady and I view things with skepticism. I know we're not close and personal friends and he is certainly not going to risk cutting any deals that are going to make his boss upset with him. So, it just comes across as dishonest.
With all that said, he did an excellent job on the actual repair. I now have two faucets behind my washer that work great. He even let me try them out to make sure I had no problems in turning them. So he's skilled at plumbing. He was also a friendly guy and arrived within the promised time frame.
The only thing that bothered me is the thought that customers that are not as assertive and are more desperate for a quick repair - will probably be overpaying. They did do a good job on the actual repair, but probably won't use again.
These guys are great!! Trustworthy, on time, professional, and great work. I initially found them through a home warranty item, I was so impressed with the service that I use them for all my issues now. Price is very fair and everything is done correctly.
We really had a wonderful experience with Lawsons. We had a leaking shower valve and called to make an appointment for them to come out. They confirmed several times and also called to see if they could come earlier. Rod was a total professional, respectful, courteous and did a great job. He was careful not to track anything into the house. He evaluated the problem, pulled the valve and re-assembled the valve which fixed the leak. He cleaned up after himself. The charges were appropriate for the work he did. Overall it was a great experience. I highly recommend them and will be calling them in the future if we have any issues.
Used Lawson's Family Plumbing again after one year for different job: still excellent service! Jeff and Jacob were punctual, professional and worked exceptionally well, delivering exactly what they had quoted us for. They replaced our old bathtub and drilled our backyard concrete to install new discharge for our washer, covering everything with new cement once done. They worked hard the whole day, and never complained; once or twice, I even heard them humming a song! Great hardworking, honest individuals, and so pleasant to work with! We love this company! Again, 5 stars!

This review is based on two recent calls to Lawson and two service visits. My first issue was with a hot water heater that didn't seem to be functioning properly. My second issue was (after having two other companies one, one of whom could not diagnose the problem) an issue with a gas valve to my dryer. The calls were a couple months apart. First of all, scheduling was easy. Imagine that a receptionist even picked up the phone when I called! What a novel concept! With the gas valve issue, I explained that I hadn't had a working dryer in two weeks and they provided an appointment for the following morning. Both issues were diagnosed quickly. The gentleman that came out to look at the water heater explained that he would have to charge $600 to fix the issue, but gave me some great tips about how to do it myself. NO ONE does that kind of stuff anymore. As far as the gas valve, I never thought I'd love the smell of gas so much. He got the gas flowing to the dryer and fixed the valve. He only charged me $99 for the diagnostic fee and visit. This company is HONEST. THIS IS INVALUABLE. Because they have shot straight with me on two separate occasions, they have made a customer for life. Job well done!

Great service; fair prices, courteous service man (Michael). He did a great job, cleaned up after himself. friendly and looked for a discount for me in replacing faucet. No one really likes to have to call a service person; but I actually enjoyed having him in my home.
The people who rented my house made a mess of things before they left. Lawson Family Plumbing provided a plumber right away. The amazing part was that this plumber talked to me like I could make these fixes myself, and he was right, so I fixed things myself based on his advice saving a ton of money on what would have been unnecessary labor charges. This isn't the first time I've called Lawson. Previously it was about an inaccurate water reading that turned-out to be a dishonest tenant not wanting to pay a large water bill. Lawson was right about that, too. I almost hope something stops working so I can call them again!
I called Lawson plumbing after having to pay for a quote from another plumbing company. Lawson does not change $60 to come and give you a quote. Lawson was also half the price of the other shop. The plumber was great and in and out in under an hour. The other plumbing shop said he would be there hours to do the same job.
To sum it up, the contractors that was sent out by AHS were completely incompetent. They made a mess out of my tenant's water heater. The pilot light wouldn't stay lit. Aggrieved and frustrated I ended up contacting Lawson based on the Yelp reviews. Lawson Plumbing did not let me down. Samantha listened and worked w/ me. Mike came out assessed, and documented the poor workmanship done by the home warranty contractors. He was professional and courteous. He removed the old water heater, cleaned the area, and then installed the new water heater. Strangely the pilot light went out...but they came out w/ out hassle and urged me to call if it ever happened again.
Follow-up - Jason & Sean came out within the last month to followup on a faulty part we had with the sink. They were professional, timely and did excellent work again. We will use them in the future and be quick to recommend them.
Called another plumber first who didn't seem to want to fix anything then found Lawson Family Plumbing. Super fast response and set up appointment for when I'd be home. Technician called before appointment, showed up right on time, gave estimate for work and had everything done and was gone within an hour. Super friendly, good service and great price. Can't ask for anything more and while I hope I don't need a plumber again any time soon, if I do I know who I'm going to call!!!
I had a great experience with Lawson Family Plumbing this week. While I had dreaded calling a plumber, it was very stress free from beginning to end. The lady that took my call and made the appointment was very friendly. The plumber arrived at the scheduled time and did a great job. Jason was also very friendly, clearly explained what he was going to do and the price was less than I was expecting. I wouldn't hesitate to use Lawson again and will be recommending them to friends and family.

Our tenant was unable to get the shower to turn on. Another plumber looked at it and said the entire wall needed to be opened to see what was going on. We then asked Lawson Family Plumbing for an estimate. They found the handle was just stuck and he was able to loosen it and get it to turn. He did not charge for the visit. So impressed! Now I know which plumber I will always call for our home or our rental property!

Finally, I have met the first company that is actually honest, professional, straight forward and on time. After contacting several companies to replace my water heater, and not finding one that at least sounded professional, I found Lawson Family Plumbing. They were honest about the price, they could take care of the issue immediately, and the service tech (Randall) was fantastic. I really appreciated his attention to every detail, he vaccumed the debris, cleaned up the water and surrounding area, double checked his work several time to make sure it was perfect, and offered to clean up when he was done. He made conversation and arrived in complete uniform, I trusted him right away. To all the bone heads out there giving the industry a bad name, you should be aware, Lawson Plumbing is going to be who I reccomend to everyone.

Being out of town and not knowing what the problem was, he could have charged me for a couple of quick fixes that other plumbers would have tried to charge me for, but he didn't. I would absolutely recommend this well run family-owned business.
These guys are great. Kevin arrived on time and gave me a fair estimate for the work that I needed. He had to go get parts because these weren't run of the mill jobs, but returned quickly and set to work. He completed all three jobs quickly and neatly. Can't say enough good things about Lawson!
I had a drainage leak that caused a lot of damage to my laundry room and basically flooded it out.. I called Lawson plumbing based on the great reviews and boy did they deliver. Matt arrived on time and not only did hey FIX the problem, he also instructed me on how to fix another problem I was having in my bathroom. Oh and they didn't charge me a dime because He didn't do much work. It's nice to know that there is still company's out there with good hearts. Recently, I had an issue with my toilet not flushing. I have no idea of plumbing problems and how to fix them. I requested a quote on Yelp and they were quick to reply. They were professional, reliable, and friendly. One of the nice things they did that I was unexpected was cleaning up after the repair was fixed. I would highly recommend them and will call them for any plumbing issues I have in the future!
Michael was very friendly and knowledgeable. He looked under my sink and instead of trying to sell me something told me that everything looked fine and I didn't need any work to be done. It's hard to find a good company that doesn't try to sell you things you don't need these days, so I really appreciate this company's honesty.
I have used this company twice. The first time was with Austin . He was very good, honest and on time. The second time Tony was my plumber. Tony was on time, good and he was honest. Wish I could give this company 10 stars! We had a plumbing disaster yesterday and after attempting to deal with our home warranty company for hours they finally told us at 11:00pm they had no one to send and 24 hours to get someone out, which the story changed today to 48 hours. Mind you we had sewage backing up into our master bedroom and bathroom and 3 out of the 4 toilets in the house would not flush and were at the brim of overflowing and they expected us to sit around like that for 2 days! Anyways we called out Lawson and these awesome guys came to the rescue at midnight and got it taken care of. We are so grateful for their service and help and would recommend them to anyone!
My wife and I just moved into a house and we were unable to wash any clothes because the outflow of the washer wouldn't drain and would end up flooding the laundry area. Jason came out and ended up needing to clear out the sewage line in order for the water to drain. The job was done quickly and it solved our problem. The morning of the appointment, I received a timely courtesy call from Jeff advising me he was enroute and his estimated time of arrival. After promptly arriving, Jeff quickly and efficiently unclogged my bathroom sink...and shared good advise on how to avoid future clogs. Then he very quickly and efficiently installed a spray bidet to my toilet. I had a warranty issue on a water heater Lawson did not install. I found Lawson on Yelp and called on a Sunday. I spoke to a real person who scheduled a service call the next day and Kenneth came just at the time promised. He quickly figured out the problem and cleared all the warranty questions in time to get the replacement installed the same day. He did a great job of installation and I was very happy with my whole Lawson Plumbing experience.

Had a late night plumbing problem (heard running water in wall near water main). Larry spent 20 minutes, over the phone, walking me through line tests and was able find the problem (broken irrigation line) and shut the irrigation off. Very helpful (and patient)! Thank you!

Lawson Family plumbing was great when they installed a new kitchen faucet, a dishwasher drip line and a new water pressure valve in my home. Very nice guys performed the work and they were neat and on time.

I called Lawson Family plumbing at 8:30 am on a Friday as we had discovered a small water leak as we were preparing to install new flooring on Saturday. Mike Mullet was at our home by 9:45 am and I could not be more pleased with the service, professionalism and workmanship he provided. Mike worked us into his schedule for same day service, returning at 7:00 pm to fix a leak which entailed jack hammering the concrete slab in my living room to replace a section of pipe. He was here until 11:15 pm and the job is 100% complete. I would recommend Lawson Family Plumbing based on the quality of service and workmanship alone, but the fact that the total cost was less than $500 is just another plus.
Highest 5 star rating. My youngest boy flushed toys down the toilet. I tried a few things without luck. Guests were coming in town and I am worried I might have to turn off water and remove toilet. My wife called 9 am Sat and Lawson had a single slot. The plumber called right back with an estimated time. He called back 30 minutes later to give an update. He kept us informed. He showed up and went to work on the least expensive fix. It worked. He explained all options. The price for this emergency was a bargain. Thank you Lawson, you are the BEST.
Oh my gosh! Where do I start? Kenneth and Michael were just great! They had a challenge with my back up and trying to locate the clean out valves. They took it head on and had the pipes cleaned, toilets unclogged and tubs empty. Along with where the main pipe is with the clean out valves. These two were amazing!! The only thing is that I felt so bad for how late it was. So sorry guys! You two took no for a answer and completed the job. Recommend them very highly....will have them on call for any other issues that might come up.

My husband and I had an inspection done on our house and had some minor tweaks needed with some plumbing work. We contacted about 7 plumbers and by far, Lawson Family Plumbing had the best prices. We had them out to get a formal quote and the serviceman was awesome and said he had availability to make the corrections while he was there without needing to schedule a separate appointment (yay!). One of the repairs that we needed involved the lint duct from our dryer so when our dryer didn't work a few days later, I obviously reached out. Jeff not only responded back to me quickly, he responded back on a Saturday and offered to research the problem for me (to ensure it wasn't due to the lint duct service). In short, it had nothing to do with the work his staff performed but he spent the time to research the problem, which I felt was above and beyond as I feel most people would have just waved off my concern.
I called on Sunday and Samantha called me within an hour and I had an appointment the very next day. Jason K came to my rescue. I had a water leak from my brand new a/c unit. Jason told me that I should have the A/C company install a p trap because my a/c was under warranty and he did not want to violate the warranty conditions. Jason K. also referred a restoration company to assist with the water damage. This is the first time I have used this company and will use them in the future. Look no further for a honest and reliable service. Jason K is awesome.

I had a leak in the hot water pipe under the slab of my house from the heater to the kitchen. Lawson Family plumbing sent this Great guy, Tony out with another guy (sorry I forgot his name) to identify the leak under the slab with some very cool sonar equipment. They worked up the estimates and sent off the info to my insurance company, themselves. They wre very patient with the insurance process and worked around my schedule as well. Tony gave me several pieces of advice on a few other minor plumbing issues so that I would be able to handle the job myself (shower cartridge and quarter turn know under the sink) so that I wouldn't have to pay him a labor fee for such a small issue. He told me how to do it and do it right so I didn't break anything. Worked out great and saved me a bundle.
Then Tony and Josh showed up on the contract day and knocked out what I thought was a daunting task of rerouting my hot water line through the attic and behind my cabinets, like it was no big thing (in my attic with it 110 degrees outside). Not one sign of floor, cabinet or drywall damage except the cutout they were forced to make behind the heater and then they patched it so well you can barely tell it happened and then went another step to tell me how to recreate the wall pattern to make the work virtually disappear.
Great attitudes and fun to have around. I actually enjoyed the day I spent with plumbers in my house. Imagine that!
Seriously, If you need a plumber at least give them a call and have them come give you a quote. They'll save you money for sure. Top Notch Company.
Amazing customer service. I called them 10 months ago to fix the water heater vent that the pervious owner of the house attached using duct tape. To fix it they attached it with screws instead. That held it in place for about 10 months until for some reason it fell off again. I called them and they came same day to attach it again for no charge! In the original work summary it said that they guarantee their work for 1 month but apparently they guarantee it for much longer than that. I am a little bummed that the vent fell off in the first place when they secured it with screws but I am giving them 5 stars for fixing their mistake for no charge.
I called Lawson on a Friday for help with a plumbing issue. We scheduled an appointment for 6 a.m. the next morning. The technician was right on time, he quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed two separate issues right on the spot. I'm not sure how they compare on price, I didn't get other quotes, but the Lawson quote seemed reasonable, and I didn't have time to waste. Lawson called me the following evening (Sunday) to ask if the work had been completed to my satisfaction. They told me that if for some reason the problem wasn't solved they would send someone out first thing on Monday to make sure it was taken care of. I was so impressed with that level of customer service which I find to be very rare. I was left with the impression that this is indeed a family company that cares about their customers.
Totally impressed. I called the office for a non emergency toilet fix (the tank was broken--completely in pieces.) The office lady was pleasant and very nice! I called at about 1320, and the service tech was there by 1400! The day after Christmas! Wow! He replaced the toilet perfectly and it was a very fair price. I know this because of course I had researched toilet tanks on google the night before. My toilet wasn't even being made anymore. So the tech recommended a new toilet, and I agreed. I just wanted a basic model, and he did not try to upsell. Very satisfied, and will call them the next time I need a good plumber!
Very impressed with them. We were referred to them, we had a leaking hot water heater at our home in another state. Although it was Saturday evening, they called right back and scheduled an appointment for Monday first thing. They planned ahead and had a unit which would work if it needed replacement. It did and their technician, Greg, was very thorough in describing the issue and costs to me. I would use them again if necessary. Great job!
We had Austin with Lawson Plumbing out to our home this past weekend to replace our leaking water heater with power vent. We are so pleased with the level of service we received from Austin during the 4 hour process. Austin was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions throughout the installation/clean up process. Our new water heater looks great and works perfectly. Wow. Had a neighbor check a leak under my sink and he told me there was a hole in the tubing leading from the insink hot water dispenser but because the joints were corrected he felt I should call a plumber. He also wasn't sure if I here was another leak. I went on Yelp and blindly called this company. Double wow. I received a response within 15 minutes, I called them and was greeted so pleasantly by Susan who made arrangements for a technician to come out. At the last minute I had a family issue but was able to easily change the time the technician was scheduled. The technician was so prompt, polite and courteous. He was also honest. He said the same thing my neighbor said and didn't the no there were any more leaks. Price was reasonable. If I could give 5+ I would. I would highly recommend this company.

I called Lawson Family Plumbing because of the awesome reviews that I had read on Yelp. They scheduled an appt for the next day, and Robert was there 15 minutes early... that alone impressed me!! I was having a difficult time removing a old faucet in a bath tub.. it had probably been there 25+ years... Robert removed it in a matter of minutes, told me how to finish the job and where to go to get what I needed. Outstanding service, he took his time and explained in detail the steps. I highly recommend them and will be calling them whenever I need service !!!

I had a temperature control issue coming out of both of our shower heads (too hot in one and too cold in the other - the house is 18 years old). I checked the reviews for various plumbers and decided on Lawson Family Plumbing. I am very happy with all aspects dealing with Lawson. From the initial contact, scheduling and communication. The plumber, Larry, called before coming and showed up when he said he would. Larry explained what the possible issues may be and explained the steps he would take. Larry was (is) professional and quickly completed the fix as well as replaced a deteriorating faucet in the bath tub.. If I could give Lawson Family Plumbing (especially Larry) more than 5 stars, I would. In the future, for any plumbing issues, I will only call Lawson Family Plumbing.
Very pleased with the service I received from Lawson Plumbing. On-time (actually available earlier than quoted), then proceeded to quickly change the shutoff valves under my sink and all for a VERY reasonable cost. Quality parts used and excellent customer service. They are now my GO-TO plumber in Mesa!
We had called thinking we had a leak in the wall. I am so glad we called Lawson plumbing. They were professional and honest and informed us the sound was the hot water pipe upstairs not a leak!!!! This literally made our year as we just had the ac break and financially it would of been very hard. We do need a new faucet in our kitchen and other little things done soon in the future. Due to the integrity this company showed we will call them to give them all our business in the future.

I just used Lawson Family Plumbing for the first time and they were fantastic! I got screwed by another plumbing company and needed a toilet fixed ASAP for a tenant to move into my rental property. Before I even had to beg for expedited service, Lawson said they could get someone out there in 2 hours! They were super friendly, easy to get a hold of, and had the part on hand to fix the toilet on the first visit. The whole thing was taken care of within probably 4 hours, on the Friday before a 3-day holiday weekend. I was amazed! They are definitely our go-to plumbing company from now on.

Didn't write a review in September like I should have. NOW I'm going to! I've lived in my house for 18 years and in that time have had to have my main sewer line snaked due to clogging about 5 times. And always - the first time did the trick. I called Lawson family plumbing based on reviews September 7th because it had clogged again. It was after hours but someone arrived within the timeframe given to me. The cost to come out after hours to snake my line was over $300!!! I negotiated them down about $100 and the guy snaked my line, said they found tampons. Ok - great! I told my daughter to stop putting them down the toilet - and she has from that point forward. On September 11th, they had to come out again for the same issue. After snaking the drain and putting a camera down this time, the guy said there were more tampons and scolded me a bit on the receipt emailed to me that I had been advised not to do that the first time. Hello!!! Maybe the guy you sent out should've done the job right the first time? Fast forward to November 25th - line is clogged again! I call Lawson plumbing at about 1015 pm because their advertisement indicates they're 24 hours and I'm thinking this is their opportunity to make it right! As of this review - I've not gotten a call and it's been almost 12 hours. Are you guys afraid you're going to have to work a little harder this time to do what should've been done initially? I'm beyond pissed! I see all these glowing reviews but bottom line is - if you're in an emergency situation as I am currently - look elsewhere! Not worth the money they'll soak out of you for a crappy job!
We had another plumbing company which our home warranty sent out to fix a serious leak under our toilet. They pulled the toilet off, pulled out some roots, resealed the toilet and told us they would need to come back, remove the tile and concrete around the toilet and dig down to remove the roots, quoting $650 for the job! They also told us we shouldn't use the bathroom until it was fixed. Then they told us we would need to have a home builder come in and put everything back, the home builder quoted us at least $2000 to $3000 to do that and told us we probably have mold which they would have to remove and basically rebuild our bathroom. I called Lawson Plumbing based on the Yelp reviews and was so happy with the service! He arrived on time and looked at our bathroom, we explained what we had been told and he told us we didn't need to do any of that, it would most likely take the roots years to grow back and we could start using our bathroom again. In addition, he didn't charge us for the trip! I cannot give any higher recommendation than five stars and will tell everyone what a great experience we had with Lawson Family Plumbing!
After my house decided to flood due to a drain problem I contacted Lawson at 4am. Wow they were really comforting assuring me it would be ok since I live in Michigan and my townhouse is in AZ. Austin came right out and found where the problem was and kept me on top of what was going on all the time. I would recommend them just for their professionalism and their knowledge and especially their customer service. Keep up the great work
This company came very highly recommended by a friend. I needed work done on my master bath because of a finding in an inspection when in the process of selling my house. Due to my own procrastination I had limited time to have it completed. The company was very accommodating. They came out same day, were very nice/professional, and fixed the issue. Jeff Lawson, the owner, called me after my review went up and he explained that the plumber who came out defrauded customers and the company. He was arrested and went to trial. Jeff asked if he could try to make things right with me. Lawson Plumbing has gone above and beyond to win my trust and business back. Honestly I was really hesitant to have this company back in my home. Jeff sent out his brother in law (someone he knew he could trust) and they went over my entire house with a camera and uploaded the video so I could see it. The price for repair was MUCH cheaper than what I was originally quoted. I am waiting to have that work done because it's going to involve displacing children's rooms, we'll do it when its warmer.
In the meantime I've needed some plumbing done and have called Lawson. I got FAST, courteous help and have been very pleased.
Jeff has worked really hard to win my business and trust back. Give them a call. But if the plumber asks you to pay him directly, call Jeff. NEVER pay a service person who works for a company directly. Only pay the company.

I choose this company based on reviews and was VERY disappointed. We knew we had a plumbing issue but didn't know what it was. I also needed to have my washing machine hose adapted to fit the current drain pipe in our home. Called and a plumber was sent out. He did a very thorough job of finding out what the problem was, he did go above and beyond on the diagnosis. Told us that we had a leak under our slab and that once we found someone who could dig through our master bedroom floor he could fix the problem for around $5000.00. He also tackled the washing machine issue. He cut into my wall to attach a bigger pipe so that my new washer could drain properly. After he left I attempted to do laundry and water came out of the wall. I called him back and told him that the job he did was leaking and he said he would fix it when he came back to fix the leak under the slab. I was NOT happy about that.
I have since called a leak detection company and have confirmed that yes there is a leak where the first plumber stated the leak was, but they told me I did not have to go through the slab if I didn't want to. They gave me several more options, depending on what I wanted to spend.
Several weeks after the plumber from Lawson's came out, he called and asked when I was going to have him start the job. I told him I wasn't prepared to spend $5,000.00 on a plumbing job AND have to find someone to go through my slab and then more money to repair the torn up slab.
I had an excellent experience with this company from start to finish! I was out of state at the time and they were great from the first phone call trying to diagnose the issue based on description since the water was only 4 years old. They scheduled for replacement on a Saturday but when they came out they said they could contact the manufacturer and do the replacement through the company under warranty saving us $400 and with only a 2 day delay. They handled all details with the warranty replacement and returned on Monday to install the new water heater. I was very impressed with their honesty as I was fully prepared to pay them the $1000 to $1100 for a brand new unit without using the warranty because I was preparing to sell the home and did not think I had the time to wait for the warranty to handle replacement and really didn't want the hassle of dealing with it with everything else I had going on at the time - on top of the fact that I was not even there in person. I very much highly recommend this company!!!!!!!
Great experience all around. They scheduled me for the same day and were able to come earlier than expected. Rooted my clogged drain from the roof and got everything back to normal quickly. Nick was friendly and helpful, and I was able to use the Yelp coupon to save a few bucks.

Pleasure to work with. Had no issues scheduling a same week appointment with Lawson staff. Austin, probably the friendliest plumber I've ever met, arrived on time to check out my leaky master tub faucet. He ended up not having a specific part that he needed to change out but his disassembling of the faucet head stopped the leak so problem was fixed! I now have Lawson bookmarked for the future.

I had an unsatisfactory experience with another company that my home warranty company sent out..and got on Yelp to find a new company. I was delighted to hear that my warranty company also worked with The Lawson family! They diagnosed my slab leak and had it repaired within 24 hours! That was much appreciated because my house was sitting on a lake of water and in an effort to reduce water flow I had turned off the water into the house for 2 days. The Lawson team made me feel like one of the family, handling my problem quickly, professionally and efficiently. I hope I never need them again but if I need ANY help with plumbing..it will be Lawson's!
Wow! This totally customer focused experience started with Charlene. She spent considerable time on the phone with me simultaneously coordinating with Jeff, the service technician, to pick up a part locally (Rheem technical service advised me earlier that it would be needed) before the parts store closed and moved schedules around so that Jeff could get to my home today just a few hours after I called. This was the first sign of a family owned business that gets it right in customer service. Then, exactly as Charlene told me would happen, Jeff called to inform me that he was leaving Tempe and would be at my home in North Phoenix near Carefree Hwy and I17 around 3 pm - he was 20 minutes early - again exceeding my expectations. After thoroughly checking the water heater and restarting it without installing the part he had purchased and had on the truck, he expertly instructed me on the finer details of getting the heater relighted after a pilot flame out. No parts as Rheem had advised and no service charge! Lawson Family Plumbing deserves 10 stars! This is a company that absolutely puts the customer at the center of excellent service, communications and exceeding expectations at every turn with a pleasant and friendly attitude. I know who I'm calling when I need a plumber next time.
I thought the speedy service on a sunday afternoon was great. They assessed the problem quickly and took them about 45 mins to do the work. The technician,Matt I believe, was friendly and even gave me the option to find the part myself and fix since it wasnt something difficult to do. I have been known to make matters worse so I went ahead and let him get the part and resolve. told me it would be about a week, but he was out in 2 days and fixed the issue no problem. Cost seemed a bit high, but of course I never price checked since it was an emergency and was pleased with the service they provided. Plus it was a cool looking van that they had! Will use them again in the future if needed, which hopefully is NEVER!
I don't even know where to begin to express my thanks to Tony (technician) and Jeff (owner) for what they did for me today. I had an under warranty issue with my water heater that had been mishandled by many. From the first phone call I was assured not to worry, we'll take care of you. That couldn't have been more true. Jeff understood my frustration and concern and rose to the occasion. He dispatched Tony who was polite, professional, knowledgeable and very helpful. Jeff met up with him later to work out the problems with my water heater which turned out to be electrical in nature. At first I thought I was looking at having to hire an electrician before my hot water problem could be resolved. Jeff assured me that it was not something they couldn't handle, and did. They were there when they said they would be, stayed until all the issues were resolved and reassured me the entire way. When they left it was aft 5 p.m. on a Friday. Two hours later I still didn't have hot water. I called their office and my call was ansered by Patty (a real human being, not an answering machine/service!!!). She immediately told me to not worry, called Jeff, put us both on speaker and was told they would be back as soon as they finished the job they were on. At 9 p.m. on Friday night, Jeff and Tony returned to my home and replaced the one theremostat and element that was causing the problem. They couldn't do enough to make sure that I was comfortable, reassured and everything was in working order. Who does that these days? Not many!! Jeff runs an honest business and he obviously cares a great deal about his employees because Tony was by his side the whole time making sure that all was taken care of. I can't thank them enough for the care and attention they paid to me. The best part was that he worked with me with my home warranty company so that I wasn't charged. This is a company you can rely on and trust with any job. Many thanks guys!

From the moment I called the number for Lawson Family Plumbing, it was obvious why they were rated so well! The dispatch agent was so pleasant to speak with and was very customer service oriented! Then we met our plumber Mike! He was so amazingly helpful! He answered all of our questions, and you could tell that he did not mind taking his time with us! Jerry and his crew are just as honest, friendly and professional as they can get. In rehabbing a rental for my overseas brother, I was very paranoid having had some nasty experiences with previous plumbing companies on other jobs. Jerry installed a new hot water heater and upgraded the pipes running to it in the condo attic (dumb builder had left no-where else to put it). I bought a water alarm as a safe guard! They also installed all the new fixtures I had bought, and upgraded all the turn on/off gadgets and tubing, so that I could feel secure that the place was relatively leak proof. It was not an easy job and the crew was there for the better part of a day and a half. The job was finished professionally and they came in at the quoted price. Randall Weeks with Lawson Family Plumbing came out to my mothers house to replace her hot water heater this morning. Randall was polite and explained the process to my mother. He was quick and efficient. They could not have been better. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who was in need of a plumber. WOW really nice guys! I had the pilot light go out on my water heater and was calling around to have someone check it out. I watched the youtube videos but was still hesitant to try myself. I went down the list and called Lawson Family Plumbing and the guy was nice enough to just walk me through it over the phone. I had a stuck valve on my refrigerator's ice maker. Knowing how much damage water can do, I wanted a professional to repair it rather than try the DIY method. Did I ever make the right choice! Jason showed up on time, knew exactly how to fix the problem, did the repair and even cleaned up afterward! These people are getting my business from now on.
All I can say is what a surprise. There was water leaking from behind my washer. I was sure they were going to have to break a hole in the wall. The woman on the phone when I called was really nice, and said they would have someone out that afternoon. Not only did they arrive on time, but called to ask if 30 minutes early was OK. The guy that came (whose name I forgot to get) was super nice, looked at everything, and knew what was wrong right away. He thinks it will clear itself up, but if not, then he told me how to fix it myself, or said I could give them a call. This was great for two reasons. One, last time I had a leak, the plumbers I called (from a big chain) tore out my wall and charged a fortune for work that wasn't necessary (I had to get their work repaired). Lawson didn't do that at all, even though I was prepared for that to be the case. And better than that, they didn't charge me anything for the Saturday service call to come out and look at it. Nothing. Even though they say up front its a $55 service fee to come out and evaluate (waived if they do work). Its great to find an honest company whose employees are friendly and helpful.
We are SO happy and impressed with these guys! We have a home warranty and they had sent out 5 different local plumbing companies to diagnose an issue we were having with a terrible knocking in the pipes for the last 6 months. I was so frustrated I decided to call a couple on my own to include these guys. I chose them because of their high ratings. We spent nearly $600 on diagnosis and parts we didn't need (and our warranty didn't cover) an by the time Kevin showed up he was number seven. He and Jeff (who he quickly got on the phone) were very understanding and patient with my frustration and reassured me they were not going to leave until they figured out the problem and would work with the warranty company. A few hours later to include a trip for parts, they not only figured it out, but fixed it! It has been over a week now and for the first time since we moved in to our home there has been NO daily knocking!! I definitely recommend these guys and will use them again for any future plumbing needs.
