Fix It Floyd

We have employed Fix It Floyd numerous times over the last 8 years for numerous services. They never disappoint. Most recently they installed a new shower in our master bathroom.  They far exceeded our expectations. The new shower is stylish and functional. Their prices are reasonable. They provide great value.

I have been a customer of Fx It Floyd for many years. Recently I bought a ceiling fan and I was quoted $195 to install it.  When they arrived we found that the fan was damaged so I arranged for a new fan to be delivered
I paid the full amount $195 for a 15 minute visit with the agreement that FIF would come back when the fan arrived. They agreed to do so and cashed my check for the original visit.  
We set a new date and FIF was here for 30 minutes and installed the ceiling fan.
About an hour later I received an email for $130 so now the total to install ONE fan was $332! The problem is FIF hit me with a surprise invoice and NEVER bothered to quote or inform me that there would be another fee.
It is their responsibility to quote a fee PRIOR to the service provided.
I paid $195 in advance and before completing the job.  Never were additional fees discussed or quoted !
I've dealt with many contractors over the years and they all provide estimates or quotes IN ADVANCE!!!
Get your quotes in writing and BEFORE work is completed

We are renovating our Scottsdale Old Town vacation rental condo and Fix-it-Floyd came to our rescue.  They helped us out with a long list of 'to-do's' - finishing the work quickly and competently.  I would HIGHLY recommend them and will be using them for my future handyman needs.  Thank you Brian and Dan for doing such a great job!

Did a great job on my stucco repair.  I enjoyed the quick communication, up-front pricing, and professional work.  Will definitely use again.

An incredibly rude company.

I contacted them about an outside grout job
ALL of our communication was businesslike and polite
I sent a kid, Brian Meyers, pictures of the job needing to be done.
He gave me an estimate of $250-$300 which seemed about right, based on other bids I'd received.
After we went back and forth on the day they could do the work, he decided he wanted his guy to come out and look at it in person.
I had no problem with that, the guy came out and next thing I know Meyers sent me a quote for $595.

I emailed back, asked politely what happened to change things.
My email: "What happened for this to go from $250-$300 to $595 now?"

Next thing I know I got an email back saying this: "but do to your general attitude we are going to pass on the project"

If the job was too small or outside their area of comfort, he could have just said so but instead he blamed me. A completely unprofessional, juvenile, arrogant and amateurish reply and at this point I wouldn't hire Fix It Floyd to take my garbage out.

BTW, I hired someone else and they did a spectacular job for $250.
2 hours work. $125/hour. If you need a handyman, contact me and I'll give you their info. I've used him twice now and his work has been perfect and he's and highly professional.

Bottom line:
Find someone who knows how to interact with customers in a respectful manner. No one deserves to be treated badly for trying to do biz with them.

UPDATE: Myers just called me and left a voice mail message asking me to call back so we could work things out. I did, because I thought the message was from his boss. Turned out it was from
Myers again.

He doubled down on blaming me, saying I'd wasted his time because I had competitive bids. Funny, if he hadn't been such a jerk and didn't try to screw me with his bid, I'd have given him the job. There was other work we talked about doing on my outdoor fireplace and a bunch of other projects as well.

I don't know how old this kid is, sounds like maybe late 20s or so, but he is extremely unskilled in dealing with people. Defensive, insulting and arrogant.

Have used them twice now. Initial was to place new electrical outlets in 2 bathrooms. They arrived when planned and completed the work flawlessly. A few months later had an issue with our BBQ island by the pool and simply emailed them for help. They were able to send someone out to repair even though we were not home - just left the gate open for them and they did it when promised during the day while we were at work. Then sent summary and bill via email so easy to deal with.
Now I see they do all sorts of other home services such as plumbing, carpentry etc. Will not hesitate to use them!

I was impressed with this company beginning with my initial call to schedule services. Michelle was pleasant helpful and made this process easy. I simply sent her my wish list and she scheduled the appropriate people for my job. Dan was professional, knowledgeable and efficient working through my list.
I have several friends that referred me to Fix It Floyd. I'm glad I called them.

Amazing, fast and very reasonable service! We are so happy to have found them in our neighborhood! Highly recommended, easy to schedule, easy to pay!

We were going to use these guys for the first time today to hang some pictures. They were scheduled to arrive between 10:30a-11:30 a. We waited and waited and they never showed up. I ended up calling at 11:50, there was no answer, so I left a message explaining the appointment and they shouldnt come if they were still planning on it. A good, customer service oriented business would still call back to apologize and reschedule. But they didn't. UNACCEPTABLE!! Do NOT use these guys. Handymen are a dime a dozen. Use someone who values you as a customer.

It's really hard to get someone fast even when your shower is hemorrhaging. Michelle sent Dan the very next day. Even got a heavy picture hung. Dan was friendly, quick and clean.

Brian was on time and great! Very detailed and knowledgeable with all repairs. Work was completed in a timely manner and we would highly recommend Fix it Floyd to anyone needing handyman services!

Fix It Floyd is my go-to! I am an Airbnb Plus Superhost and my rental property is in Old Town Scottsdale but I manage it from California-- so I have to have a handyman I can count on! Fix It Floyd (FIF) is a reasonably priced one-stop-shop. FIF even does electrical! FIF provides quick call-backs and fast scheduling/completion. I reach a live person with a professional phone manner when I call and FIF always sends out professional technicians. Brian is great about valuing loyal customers and repeat clients like me. He recently expedited my service request during the Christmas/New Year's holiday.

I saw them on the Nextdoor app with good reviews. They seem to be a small operation but friendly and pretty prompt. I actually had to call them twice but the second time they got back to me right away, apologized for not getting back to me earlier, and sent someone out the next day. Later when I had a question about the service and the possibility that it want fixed they responded right away. I would use them again.

Finally I've found someone that's professional, experienced and friendly!  Communication was good and ease of scheduling and paying excellent.  He cleaned up impeccably also

Fix it Floyd has always been reliable, honest and do great work! I've used them for many home projects ranging from small touch up paint to cabinets and countertops. I would recommend them to anyone!

An entire section of the lighting in my home suddenly went out. Fix it Floyd was recommended to me. I called and explained to Brian what my problem was and within one hour, Dan came out and had the problem fixed! I couldn't believe how fast, efficient and courteous these guys were! I was happy to learn that Fix it Floyd also performs many types of repairs, etc. They have earned my business and, as a new resident in Scottsdale, it is a comfort finding a business like Fix it Floyd!!!

Good value, I gave them a couple of things to do. They did them well, no issues, and they didn't try to fix something that needed more than handyman work. They suggested another contractor to work on that issue, so we will contact them. They came out in a timely manner, easy to work with on the phone, and we are pleased. I'm not sure there is anything more to say. If the customer is happy, the job is well done. Thank you.

We have used Fix It Floyd several times. They came out to hang bistro lights in our back yard yesterday. They did an amazing job and I highly recommend them. They are very reasonable on price and the quality of their work is top notch.

Fix it Floyd came and did some electrical projects for me last week.  Dan the electrician came early and did an amazing job!  His work far exceeded any electrician I have used in the last 5 years.  I will call on Fix it Floyd for all my needs.  Next project for me is some plumbing.  I have every reason to believe I will have an equally great experience.  I recommend Fix it Floyd with great confidence.

This review is generous in my opinion. Confused as to why there are so many 5 star reviews when the service that Fix it Floyd provides is less than stellar. The whole process was bizarre to me. Non conventional way of running a business. Upon contacting Fix it Floyd for a few minor repairs at my condo I was directed to email the business with a list of repairs and to include pictures. They literally do not answer phone calls. Nor return them. My hot water heater needed to be replaced. I was charged over $900.00! For the hot water heater alone. I knew at the time it was outrageous but didn't really have too many options. The removal was what got to me. The hot water heater was removed from my garage and drained in my condo complex parking lot. I understand that in order for the removal the tank must be drained, along with any other calcium or sediment buildup. The technician must of felt like he had to reinforce that there was quite a bit of calcium because he was digging it out of the tank. After he left I looked outside my garage out of curiosity. The sediment/calcium was all over the parking lot. I live in a gated community with a strict HOA. I had to clean the mess up myself. It littered the rocks, I had to use a handheld broom to scoop out the calcium from the rocks and sweep the parking lot only to spray it down and sweep again. Long story short. He left a huge mess for me to clean up! I had to email the company to get my bill. They failed to email me an invoice. I was not impressed at the level of service I received. I would not recommend this company to anyone else.

I contacted the Fix it Floyd firm to repair all the things found wrong during my home inspection.  I met Brian the owner on a Friday on the first day in the new house and did a walk through to come up with solutions.  On Saturday, two smoke detectors started beeping when the batteries went low.  With no ladder and no way to get one I called Brian and he was nice enough to come out and take care of the batteries.  That kind of customer service was evidenced during the repair process that they did on a fixed price and timely basis.  Work was done well and all subsequent repairs have been timely.  Its great to have access to someone you can trust and can fix just about anything in a house.

Extremely satisfied with prompt service at a very good price. Specifically, fixed my crown molding that had fallen down in a high area within my house. I highly recommend this company for any handyman needs you may have!

If you are looking for a professional Handyman go no further.  We have used Fix It Floyd for about 6 years whenever we have an issue.  Brian and the technicians are friendly, knowledgable, on-time and work in an efficient manner.  I always have a list of things that need to be looked at when they come.  We are 100% satisfied with their work and would not call anyone else.

As soon as I saw the website I knew to look no further. From the extremely user friendly website to the exceptional customer service over the phone, I was sold. When the technician showed up to my home they arrived in a clean, presentable company wrapped truck. The technical himself was very clean cut, easy to understand and got the job done in an efficient and effective manner. I will never look anywhere else from having someone get rid of my old furniture to installing new tile Fix it Floyd is the only call I will be making!

I cannot say enough about this company.  There is simply nothing they can't fix...and if they can't fix it, they will find someone who can fast.  My husband and I bought a second home in Scottsdale recently and it was empty for quite a while and needed lots of TLC.  Fix it Floyd was recommended by our realtor and we cannot be more happy with this company.  They are professional, nice, courteous and do not know what "no" means!!  They can do electrical, plumbing, granite counters....pretty much anything!! They will be the only  company we call when we need something fixed, repaired, installed or built!!
