I called Cooper's one day for a septic tank inspection and pump out for selling a house. I spoke with Samantha in the office. She was friendly and professional and got me through the necessary preliminary paperwork effortlessly. The next day Troy came out, on time. He found the tank quickly. He dug the inspection hole and did what needed to be done expertly. He answered all my questions and just was an all around nice guy.

I highly recommend Cooper's Sewer and Drainage  .

I have used this company a few times for issues! They are amazing! A few years ago they came out on Christmas Eve in the afternoon and helped us with a major back up, that they had helped us with a few days before and it just wouldn't unclog.  They got it unclogged and did not charge us for the second visit as we already paid the fee.  This time they came out, last minute for another clog after heavy rains and located the issue fixed it and pumped our tank for an excellent price. Josh came out today and he was extremely professional, he addressed all my issues, he has a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable.  He is a refreshing example of outstanding customer service!!!

This company does NOT stand behind their work.  I paid them to put in an access riser so that we could empty the motorhome into our septic tank.  After they left I realized that it was not installed correctly.  (The 6 riser isn't attached to the septic tank and there is a 4 opening in the tank.  So when we dump the motorhome only about 1/2 of the contents make it into the tank, yuck!!)

So I called.  The lady on the phone was nice and said someone would call me back.  They didn't.  I waited a few days and nothing.

So I called again.  She was nice again, said she would send someone out.  They never called me back.  So I waited a few days....

And I called.  And she apologized and said someone would come today.  They never showed up.

So I called.  5 TIMES!  I have called them 5 times over the last 2 weeks.  They won't come back.  They won't call me back.  They have left me with a septic tank that is not connected to the access riser.  When I call they apologize and promise to call me back and NO ONE EVER CALLS ME BACK.

I guess I will now have to pay another company to dig it all back up and fix their halfassed job.  Very disappointing.  Steer clear.  If you have a problem with their work they will not be coming back to fix it!

I called them to do a pump and certification for the sale of the house.
1st guy can't find the second part of the tank, wasn't sure if it was a tank, had to call a 2nd guy to help (He has only been doing this 3 months)
While on the walkie talkie I kept hearing one of the guys say, just pump it and fail it, just pump it and fail it.

I asked why it would fail if it's functioning. They said it's not up to code. And it's old. But it functions, so I figured it would be grandfathered in as long as nothing is physicaly wrong with it.
2nd guy shows up, he can't  find second part of the tank either.
So fine, I'll pay for labor, you guys can go. If you guys are going to fail my tank, without even inspecting it, my buyer is going to back out, and having it pumped and certified is pointless at this point.

I get a receipt for  $60 labor, seems reasonable, I'll pay.. Then the kid comes back 20 minutes later and said the boss said I need to pay additional  60$ for the second guys labor  (even though it was not my fault the first kid needed help) and an additional  $80 for an inspection they didn't even do. They couldn't even find the other part of the tank!!!  but graciously he said I can have that back when they come back and do the tank replacement
That they don't even know needs to be done.
It will be a cold day in hell that I have them back out to my house. Enjoy your $80 for nothing, I'll find another company.
$120 for labor and they didn't even replace the cap they removed.

I have been calling them since 3:30 on Saturday. The on call guy doesn't appear to be on call since he hasn't returned my call.  I've called at 12:30 AM, 1:30 and 2:0AM and haven't received a return call.  No sense in having an on call guy if he doesn't answer calls!  This company is completely unreliable!!  DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! PUNN INTENDED!  Find another company that cares about you and your time!

Thanks Coopers! I have a duplex that was hit by lightning plugging the main line to the septic system. Thanks to your driver Justin E or maybe C. His hard work to isolate the problem allowed me to fix the problem myself without displacing my tenants. Good man. Great service.

I am updating my last 5 star rating. I would like to give them an additional 5 star rating but YELP doesn't offer that option.   Justin came out today, and he like Monte was knowledgeable, honest and just as efficient as Monte.  I  personally believe it is a trustworthy company and has good seasoned septic tank and drain opening  operators working for them.  I, like many others  have rental properties.  It's an added bonus to find honest family owned companies whom hire people that know what they are doing and keeps those operators.

They came out to pump the septic tank prior to a real estate transaction. They left a complete mess, had to come back to fix their mess. Now that it is spring, I've turned on my drips again to find that they broke my irrigation lines in several places while they excavated the septic tank. Pretty poor work, would not do business with them again.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!! If I could give this company zero stars I would!! Set an appointment to have a 2nd septic tank done as our old one was getting filled. Was told they would show up on a certain date.... never showed! Never called! WE had to call them and ask what was going on! They claimed they were too busy with other jobs and would show up eventually. Okay that's great? Very professional. Sorry we are too busy don't know when we'll be there! Nice. Anyway, they show up a couple days later and appear to be getting the job done quickly. Took 2 days to do. 2nd day on the job and the last day they were at our property was last Saturday. We had paid extra to have them haul away all the extra dirt that would be dug up to make this other septic. Well, they leave and the place looks like a landfill with HILLS of dirt and TONS of HUGE rock that we NEVER had in our yard before. The place is absolutely trashed. Tire marks everywhere, dirt strewn about and in mounds. NOT TO MENTION they pushed the excess dirt they apparently didn't want to haul away under our bushes in our front yard. Sneaky. We call and try to get them to make this right ESPECIALLY because we paid extra to have this excess dirt taken care of. They say they will send the GM out to look at the yard. GM came by without notice or any interaction with us, called back and said it looks fine - it will even out. People, this is at least 2-4 inches of solid dirt and excessive amounts of rock piled up in our yard!!!!My husband has backed over it a couple times with his truck since he parks there and IT IS NOT EVENED OUT. I FEEL LIKE WE ARE GOING OFF ROADING EVERY TIME WE PULL OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY! (I am not even being dramatic). The company claims they will NOT fix this issue. We have tried to contact multiple times. They tell us that in the contract it states that the yard will not look the same after work is done so they get away with this! Talk about HORRENDOUS customer service. Not only have they lost our business but I will be sure to let EVERYONE I know to avoid Cooper's. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!!! I say time because guess who is now raking, shoveling and hauling excess dirt off the property????? I'll give you a hint, it sure as hell is not COOPER'S! Just terrible.

We used this service about 10 months ago and our tank is full gain.. called them to get it fixed and everyone was extremely rude asked to speak to a manager the guy was an asshole...saying House our house system was bad because it's 30years old.. our tank lasted 7 years prior to it being drained... we won't be calling this rude ass sketchy company again is not worth the headache...not to mention the 80 dollar fee to look at the tank plus 50 for being after hours when their damn website specifies that they close at 4..

I'm a Realtor and I purchased a home 3 years ago that is on a Septic system.  The lender  and state requires that a home on septic be evaluated, pumped and certified before the transaction is completed. Coopers performed the inspection and pumped the system. They only pumped the surface of the tank and within a few years we had to hire someone to perform the work. I hired a different company due to better ratings and it took them 3 hours to pump the system which was not pumped properly when the home was sold to us. This seems to a reoccurring issue with Cooper's so I thought I would add my less than stellar review as well. I would not use this company, especially since, as a homeowner, you are responsible for the contractors used during a real estate transaction.

We have sold our house and need the septic inspected.  We were not aware of the new regulation that it has to be dug out to the top of the tank and we have expensive garden beds on top.  We requested they send someone out to give us a consultation on how we can work around the beds and preserve as much as possible to get ready for the inspection.  They sent someone out without informing us of date and time and of course no one was home so they left.  We are moving in 4 weeks and need to get this done quickly.  I called to ask that they send someone out again but let us know this time when they would be coming so that we can make sure to be here.  They were rude and made it pretty clear they would not accommodate us.  Will be using another company.

Called them up.  Receptionist was very friendly and professional.  Called us when their service man was on the way.  The service man unplugged our septic system within minutes.  Another septic tank service had come earlier, he said he had to dig in order to be able to do anything, that it was impossible to just clean the system, that we had to replace the entire system and a lot more misinformation....
I am glad we called Cooper's!

As a general contractor we occasionally run into the need to have new septic systems installed on our projects. Have used this company several times or the years and have always had a great experience. Here recently we have another project that needs a septic install. Called their office, was told the estimator was not in but that if I gave the details they would have this person call me. Three days pass and no phone call! Called the office again, had to give all of the information for a second time and was told their estimator would call. Waiting another three days with no call back. Called the office and they wanted all of the information yet again, this time I declined. I told the person who answered the phone that they have obviously changed, I'm chasing them to give them a job and apologized for waiting their time. This person then hung up on me as if I did something wrong. I was going to refrain from giving them a review, but based on the attitude, lack of response I figured it best to try and save someone else the hassle as well. Yesterday we called two other companies, Mesa Septic and will have a bid today. They are very responsive!

I believe this company engages in unscrupulous business tactics.  I hired them to pump and inspect my septic tank for the sale of my house.  The inspector failed the inspection after 10 minutes claiming he ran water for 15 minutes and found roots.  He did not run water and there were no roots.  A subsequent inspection confirmed there were no roots.  Avoid this company.  They seem to be the only game in town in Apache Junction but you can get a company from Mesa to come out.

Extremely good service.  Big Bang for my buck.  Excellent friendly employees.  Rusty came within the hour I called.  He asked first about problem & listened to me as I explained and then went to work and fixed the problem.  He showed me the water flow in the drain, explained how to keep it clean.   They are the best.  Thank you as a business but mostly thank you Rusty for everything you did to help us out today.

I would not recommend them to anyone. I called about a month ago because I was having problems with our septic and when I called the lady she said they where very busy but might try to squeeze me in for the day but she'd let me know. Well the end of the day came and I never heard back from her, I had to call and she said she will try to get someone there the next day. Now the next day we called super early to confirm and she said ok will see if we can get someone there today. Just to say we had to basically tell her if she wanted the job or we'd find someone else. They finally came out the guy was only there for less than an hour and didn't tell us anything but supposedly drained our septic and charged us $250. It's been about a month and we are still having problems. We called this same company and told them they where out here a month ago she said she's call me back she needed to find my file. Well to say the least we still haven't heard back from them till this day. So we called another company. I'm tired of having to keep calling them just to get someone here. Obviously they don't need our service. I would not recommend them. We called another company and they where much more professional we had someone come out the same day we called. They said they had to access the big box not the tubes and since our septic is under concrete they'd have to go under with a camera to see where to access the septic tank. Which this company just drained the tubes and didn't say anything else to us.

Called today when septic system plugged up. They had a driver to my house in 20 minutes. 30 minutes to clear the issue and cost $90. The service man was professional and friendly. He didn't try to up-sell me on anything. Hands down the best drain service I've ever dealt with and cheaper than all the advertised roto-rooter guys. No fuss, just fast, efficient and cost effective.

Exceptional service!  We were without functional plumbing for 5 days because we kept getting jerked around by another company.  We attempted to give them the benefit of the doubt but eventually gave up. Said we had a major issue so we waited (and waited, and waited...)  We called Cooper's who came out right away and fixed the problem quickly (within a couple of hours and this was on a weekend), professionally and for a very fair cost.  Should've called them in the first place.  We will most definitely use them again should the need arise.  We would highly recommend them!

Used this place before and was satisfied with there service for septic wait removal. 7 years later we call to use them again and they charged us twice as much as last time and spent less time draining the septic tank and he was rude and seem to be in a hurry to get on out of there, and we didn't feel like they did not do a good and quality job. 6 month later its full again. And won't help us out with this bad service they did for us.  Would never recommend to anyone find a better company to do business with.

I have used Cooper's a couple of times in the past. Two years ago, almost to the day, I had them come out and pump my septic. I have a 1,000 gallon septic and they only pumped 750 gallons that time. We managed to make it to last week before having to have it pumped again. When I called, I questioned why my previous invoice was only 750 gal, I was told that the gauge must have gotten stuck. Nicky assured me that they get it all. She had my previous invoice info in front of her at this time and knew exactly what had been done January of 2013. They were prompt at getting someone out to my house, thank you. Same guy showed up, he pumped the tank, when he came in to let me know that he was finished, he asked me to flush the toilet. I did so. It went down. Mind you, this is only about 5 gallons of water. He stood in my living room the entire time. He NEVER watched the water actually flow into the tank!!! Later that evening, As I took a shower, the tub started to fill with water. It very slowly went down. As my kids showered after me, I went into the other bathroom only find that poo water was now filling my garden tub! Apparently, the pipes had slowly leaked just enough water to flush the toilet a couple of times before it would start filling up into my house. By the way, I paid to have 1,000 gallons pumped. I asked the tech how much he actually pumped, he went out and checked. Only 700 gallons this time! There is now an awful smell of septic gasses in my home all night and gurgling noises. First thing, the next morning, I called to get someone back out to my house. The woman, not Nicky, seemed to be understanding and said that she will let me know when she will have a truck available. Three hours later, still unable to flush a toilet, wash my hands or run water into a drain in any way, I called to see about an ETA. This time the woman, was extremely rude. She argued with me that she told me it would be in the afternoon sometime, which she had not, then I explained again that situation with the gasses coming up from my drains and reminded her that I was not only having an emergency here, but that I had already had someone out the afternoon prior and had already paid them! There was obviously an issue that needed to be fixed. How selfish to think that a job should have been correctly finished as a priority! After dealing with Miss Rude, someone showed up about an hour later. First thing he says as I opened the door, It would have been a $90 charge to snake that drain yesterday and it is still a $90 charge for me to do it today. Well, hello and how are you, is how I thought most greetings went in customer service, but guess not here. I explained to him that the tech never actually watched the water flow into the tank, repeatedly. He argued, repeatedly, that he talked to him and he said that he did. If you are standing in my living room, you are obviously not watching 5 gallons of toilet water flow into my septic tank, unless you have super powers, which I doubt. This guy must be related to the Miss Rude because he was incredibly ridiculous. He also argued with my 65 year old neighbor about the entire situation! Really?!?! If the pipe had needed to be snaked out the day before, it would have been nice to know before the tech left and I unknowingly showered with poo water backing up at my feet and then into my other bathtub. I would have had the darn thing dealt with. Why would I pay to have half of a job done and still not be able to use my plumbing? As for Cooper's, I told the rude muscle head guy to leave and I would gladly find another solution that didn't involve a company that couldn't finish a job properly. He had the nerve to tell me that he was not getting paid to be there at my house for this situation after I explained that I don't get paid for a second day of missed worked because the job was not done right the first time. Forgive me, but aren't you hourly? And I had already paid for a service that was only 70% done at best, just for the pumping, let alone that fact that I still had an issue. Very simple, had the job been done right, the first tech would have found that it was clogged in the 10ft section between the first clean out and the tank, could have charged me another $90 for a couple minutes worth of work and I would have not had the issues that followed and the company would have made a huge profit just to route the pipe that was completely accessible. He had never bothered to open the cap 10ft in front of the tank, if he had, he would have seen that this is where the issue was because when it was opened, poo water went flowing everywhere. That could have been a really quick fix for the money, what a shame. That is a loss for the company and the loss of a customer that will never recommend using this company again to anyone. What a shame, I like to stay with small local businesses when possible.

I am an out of town landlord and my rental had a sink hole in the backyard.  It took us a while to figure out how to get it fixed. After calling the city and being told they would have to pull the blue prints for the house to see if it may be an old septic system, and that would take up to 6 weeks to do.  They suggested I call a plumber. Called a plumber and explained what happened and they referred me to Coopers Sewer & Drain. Called Coopers and explained what was happening and was told they would send someone out to look at it. I believe the owner went out.  He called me from the rental and explained that it was an old septic system that had collapsed. When the house was put on city sewer the owners didn't take care of the septic system like they were supposed to.  I was seeing cha-ching cha-ching cha-ching.  I was not happy.  Coopers gave me an estimate that was MUCH lower than I had feared.  I said do it, they scheduled it for the next Thursday (only a few days away) and they brought in a backhoe and dug it out, added dirt, tamped it down and made sure it wouldn't sink.  The amount to fix it was on the low end of their estimate which made me VERY happy.  Today (almost 6 months later) you can't even tell there was a sink hole.  Coopers was very professional, kept me in the loop and called me for payment and took payment over the phone.  I highly recommend this company.
